00:01:07.420 to condemn the mob. Instead, he sort of promoted this idea that we should apply today's hyper-politicized

00:01:13.520 speech standards to historical figures in the past. Iveson said that he welcomed the discussion of

00:01:19.940 quote, addressing historical wrongdoings and inequalities like systemic racism, unquote. And

00:01:26.740 then he simply said that there's better ways to do this than vandalizing city property. So in other

00:01:31.960 words, he's okay with the concept of tearing down statues, of removing and canceling historical figures

00:01:38.860 who weren't adequately woke, but he just wants to do it through the government, not through mob rule.
