00:05:09.380Now Dr. Teresa Tam is not just telling us to wear masks to stop COVID but also other respiratory illnesses which we'll never get rid of which also means that she's basically saying masks should be a permanent measure against stopping respiratory viruses.
00:05:24.760Now back in November of 2022 Ottawa's public health doctor Vera Etches was asked by a journalist why children are getting a sharp uptick in an RSV virus another respiratory illness.
00:05:38.240And she says that because children were masked they were not exposed to other viruses and that suppressed their immunity.

00:05:49.180Some people are assuming well it's because they don't have the COVID vaccine or many COVID vaccines yet they're so young.

00:06:03.980It prevents hospitalization that is clear it's a safe vaccine and there aren't as high rates in children but it's really not just COVID here that's happening.

00:06:22.760People are exposed to it over and over again and they build immunity but our mask wearing has stopped viruses over the last couple of years and so people haven't built up the same amount of immunity in their young years to these viruses.
00:06:35.500So what exactly do they think is going to happen here?
00:06:37.980We have studies showing that mask wearing is inconclusive to stopping the spread of viruses which we already obviously knew.
00:06:45.960And we also have public health doctors saying that wearing masks especially in children has prevented them from building up immunity against viruses which they usually can easily defeat.
00:06:56.500Now no one's really ever accused our public health bureaucrats of being consistent when it comes to giving us advice but I mean this is just ridiculous.
00:07:04.440And let's just be clear about something when it comes to the masks.
00:07:07.000Although it's just a recommendation to put on the mask from Dr. Tam, in some places like the Ottawa Hospital, wearing masks is now mandatory.
00:07:17.440Now besides telling Canadians that it's time to break out the mask again despite COVID cases being at historic lows,
00:07:23.740we also got news that Health Canada approved the new Moderna spike vax booster shot for all Canadians aged 6 months and older.
00:07:32.140Now given that Health Canada and the U.S. CDC approved this Moderna vaccine, this Moderna booster vaccine,
00:07:40.140we wanted to do some of our own research to confirm what study exactly Health Canada relied on to make this authorization.
00:07:47.580Now if you go looking for the study used to justify the authorization and recommendation of this new vaccine for Canadians 6 months of age and older,
00:07:56.000you will find one study cited involving 50 participants that received this Moderna booster vaccine and 51 participants that received a different booster vaccine.
00:08:08.140The median age of the participants was 51 years of age and nobody involved in the study was younger than 21.
00:08:15.900Now given that the government is recommending that everyone 6 months of age and older take this Moderna vaccine,
