00:00:00.000 Well, it's tough to imagine a more insidious and evil piece of legislation being forced down the
00:00:19.020 throats of unwilling Canadians than Justin Trudeau's censorship bill, C-11. If Justin
00:00:24.340 Trudeau can control what Canadians see online, then of course he can control what Canadians
00:00:29.800 think. That's why those great paragons of liberty, you know, Russia, China, Iran, they love this sort
00:00:36.040 of thing. They can't allow their citizens to see the kind of freedom experienced by the rest of the
00:00:40.000 world. If they do, their citizens would rise up. For those governments, they have no choice. Now ask
00:00:44.760 yourself, if not to control what Canadians see and think, why bother pursuing the royal assent of a
00:00:49.840 piece of legislation which is designed to do just that, and that is opposed by hundreds of thousands,
00:00:55.680 if not millions of Canadians, including progressive liberals. Make no mistake about it. Bill C-11 is an
00:01:01.700 existential threat to Canada and to organizations like True North. This bill could turn Canada into
00:01:07.420 a firewalled third world nation where dissenting voices are completely wiped off the face of the
00:01:12.540 internet, invisible to not only Canadians, but the outside world. And just as Trudeau nears the finish
00:01:17.920 line of seizing control of digital media in this country, the same way he seized control of print
00:01:22.960 media in this country. Trudeau decided to launch his own YouTube channel where he can sit on his
00:01:28.320 desk, roll up his sleeves, talk about how great his government is, and try to not look like a tyrant.
00:01:33.700 Please, please laugh because otherwise you'd have no other option than to cry about it. It's just
00:01:39.160 that bad. Drop a like in the video, help us out by subscribing to the True North YouTube channel,
00:01:44.140 and the comment question for the episode is this. Would you be prepared to go out in the streets and
00:01:49.320 protest the government over Bill C-11? Let me know and let's get into it.
00:01:53.620 True to form, the Justin Trudeau liberals last week shut down debate and dissent on their censorship
00:01:58.880 legislation. Here's Liberal government House leader Mark Holland seeking to do that while
00:02:03.680 conveniently the House of Commons was empty and when nobody was paying attention.
00:02:07.680 I move seconded by the Minister of Health that in relation to consideration of Motion No. 2,
00:02:12.680 respecting Senate amendments to Bill C-11, an act to amend the Broadcasting Act,
00:02:18.260 and make related and consequential amendments to other acts, the debate not be further adjourned.
00:02:24.260 Understandably, the only people in the House of Commons who seem to know what is really going
00:02:28.100 on here, the official opposition, were outraged.
00:02:30.980 Uh, closure means that they are shutting down debate. Now I find this rather interesting because
00:02:36.220 really Bill C-11 is a censorship bill. So we have a government that has moved a censorship bill,
00:02:43.180 and now they are moving censorship on that censorship bill. So talk about a government
00:02:48.080 very committed to censorship. They're not only wanting to censor what Canadians can see and hear
00:02:53.040 and post online through Bill C-11, but the government is also wanting to censor us as opposition
00:02:58.820 members and our ability to speak about this bill.
00:03:01.800 Even Margaret Atwood, no conservative, has said that this bill represents creeping
00:03:08.040 totalitarianism. Creeping totalitarianism. It gives the power to a woke agency, the CRTC,
00:03:15.660 named by liberals, to manipulate social media algorithms in order to shut down voices it does
00:03:21.920 not want people to hear. When will this government realize that Orwell's 1984 was not an instruction
00:03:28.120 manual. Given that, of course, Justin Trudeau's paid off legacy media journalists would be the
00:03:33.240 ones who ultimately benefit the most from this censorship legislation, they're not really
00:03:37.400 interested in covering any of what's going on here. Open Media, a registered non-partisan,
00:03:42.840 non-profit internet advocacy group, describes Bill C-11 this way. Bill C-11 expands the Broadcasting
00:03:49.640 Act that grants the CRTC regulatory powers over radio and television to cover all audio-visual content
00:03:57.240 on the internet, including content on platforms like TikTok, YouTube, Spotify, and podcast clients.
00:04:04.280 Under Bill C-11, platforms must also make CanCon discoverable by filling our feeds and search results
00:04:11.080 with a mandatory quota of official CanCon content or face stiff financial penalties from the CRTC.
00:04:18.840 Now, what exactly is official CanCon content? Well, the name might suggest that it's Canadian content,
00:04:25.400 but I can assure you this broadcast right here, the one you're watching,
00:04:29.720 won't fall under that official CanCon category. That's because unlike the legacy media who are paid
00:04:35.960 off by Justin Trudeau to propagandize on his behalf, this show and True North isn't interested
00:04:40.920 in doing that. So because of that, will we be granted the special status of CanCon? You all know
00:04:46.040 the answer to that. At its core, the biggest concern about Bill C-11 is the fact that the CRTC,
00:04:51.720 a government regulatory body would now have regulatory authority over user-generated content.
00:04:58.040 That would be your activity online. Canada's top YouTubers, artists, authors like Margaret Atwood,
00:05:05.240 who's definitely not a conservative, former CRTC chairman and experts in this field have been warning
00:05:10.920 that this is the express intent of the bill to regulate your online content, to make sure that only
00:05:17.560 official Canadian content gets pushed forward and your content, which wouldn't fall into that category,
00:05:23.400 gets regulated. And because the Trudeau liberals think you're an idiot and you won't read the
00:05:27.320 legislation, they use their propagandists in the legacy media to tell you that the government has
00:05:32.120 no interest in regulating your user-generated content. But that isn't what the legislation states.
00:05:38.040 Section 4.1 says that the CRTC may make an exception to regulating your online content, but then
00:05:44.600 Section 4.2 re-establishes censorship over your content if any piece of your content earns revenue
00:05:51.960 indirectly or directly. By the way, that's any piece of audio-visual content that is successful
00:05:58.120 on the internet. But to put all your fears to rest, the federal government has been insulting you
00:06:02.120 and your concerns about Bill C-11 by routinely telling people they aren't interested in regulating
00:06:07.480 your cat videos. Does he believe, as the leader of the Conservative Party, that it's the government,
00:06:13.000 the block, the NDP and the Green Party trying to prevent individuals from uploading cat videos on
00:06:18.520 Facebook? Now I know if we blocked access to cat videos it might cause a lot of problems for the
00:06:23.480 Conservative backbench who have a very short attention span during question period. And the CRTC has been
00:06:28.440 very clear. They have no interest in regulating the cat videos put up on TikTok. This is not
00:06:38.360 you uploading your cat video. Trust me, I love cat videos. I can watch them all day. After a day here
00:06:43.000 in the chamber, I love a good cat video. But then why was it there in the first place?
00:06:48.120 Why was it there in the first place? Going after people posting pictures or videos of their cats.
00:06:52.840 Some even going so far as to say cat videos will be taxed. Despite the fact that the government tells you
00:06:57.320 they aren't interested in regulating your cat videos, i.e. your user-generated content,
00:07:02.520 everything the federal government has done since the introduction of Bill C-11 would lead any normal
00:07:07.320 person who's been watching this to think regulating your user-generated content is the sole focus of
00:07:13.560 the federal government. Understandably, the government doesn't want you to know that they are regulating
00:07:17.800 your user-generated content. But when two Trudeau handpicked senators put forward an amendment to the
00:07:24.200 House of Commons to expressly prohibit the regulation of user-generated content, the Minister
00:07:30.360 of Canadian Heritage, Argentinian-born Juan Pablo Rodriguez, flatly rejected that amendment. In fact,
00:07:38.520 there's not a single thing the Canadian Senate can do to change the legislation. Just watch as Juan
00:07:44.760 Pablo Rodriguez, Canada's El Censor, tells a room full of industry experts last month that any amendment to
00:07:51.880 Bill C-11 that will, quote, impact the bill would be rejected. Are there amendments that you've
00:07:57.560 already looked at that you have decided to reject? Well, we'll see when the bill comes back because
00:08:02.440 I can't, it's in the Senate. I don't think the senators would be- They've talked a lot about what those
00:08:06.200 amendments are. But there are amendments that have zero impact on the bill and others that may have
00:08:11.960 something done. Those will not accept them. There are amendments that have zero impact on the bill and
00:08:17.080 others that may have something done. Those will not accept them. Bill C-11 is being supported by
00:08:21.880 every single party in the House of Commons except for one, the Conservative Party, who have promised
00:08:27.400 to repeal Bill C-11 if elected into a majority government. But a very telling moment occurred in
00:08:32.600 the House of Commons a few weeks ago when a Quebec separatist Bloc Québécois MP, Andrian LaRouche,
00:08:40.120 told the House of Commons and Canadians at large that if C-11 passed and it suppresses freedom of
00:08:45.800 expression for Canadians, you know, Section 2B in the Charter of Rights and Freedoms, but at the same
00:08:50.680 time it promotes French language content, then it would be worth it. Then the Bloc Québécois would
00:08:55.480 vote in favor of Bill C-11. If violating freedom of expression means ensuring that Quebec content is
00:09:05.880 well represented online, well, then that's worth it. Quebec separatists are willing to throw away your
00:09:13.720 rights to freedom of expression if it means satisfying the calls of their Quebec lobbyists.
00:09:18.760 Really makes you wonder why we even allow separatists to sit in our federal legislature.
00:09:23.080 A normal country, of course, would laugh at the idea. But if you weren't totally humiliated yet
00:09:27.400 by the federal government, Justin Trudeau had one more trick up his sleeve to really make you feel like
00:09:32.120 a serf subjected to the authoritarian whims of an out-of-control tyrannical government. As Canadian
00:09:37.960 YouTubers and Google themselves shout from the rooftops to get Justin Trudeau to stop Bill C-11,
00:09:43.720 to stop this attack on the freedom of Canadians, Justin Trudeau took this opportunity to launch his
00:09:49.640 own YouTube channel. I'm on YouTube, Justin Trudeau. Shout as he suppresses your right to freedom of
00:09:55.000 expression. You'll find videos about the budget process, the new Canadian dental care plan, the
00:10:01.080 grocery rebate, and much more. Check it out here. And be sure to subscribe so you never miss an
00:10:06.760 upload. Be sure to subscribe to my YouTube channel so you don't miss an upload from Dear Leader while
00:10:11.960 I make sure to suppress every other Canadian YouTube channel so you don't get to watch what they have to
00:10:16.840 say. But make sure you watch my channel. Now, I'm not allowed to use the words I want to use
00:10:21.400 to describe Justin Trudeau's decision to launch a YouTube channel while he also simultaneously crushes
00:10:27.560 Canadian YouTube for all of us. But I can assure you, you and I, we're thinking the exact same
00:10:32.840 thing. And this is what aspiring YouTuber Justin Trudeau has to say about the launch of his YouTube
00:10:37.320 channel. Just look at how normal he is, guys. Isn't he relatable? Hey, everyone. I'm here in my
00:10:42.120 office on Parliament Hill, which is where I get a lot of work done, where I hold a lot of meetings.
00:10:47.080 Just a few steps away is the House of Commons, which is where we have debates, we pass legislation,
00:10:53.400 we talk about the issues of the day, I answer questions from the opposition during question
00:10:59.480 period. And a lot of work gets done. But there's a lot going on in politics. Sometimes it's hard to
00:11:07.400 keep track of it, which is why we're launching this YouTube channel. This will be an opportunity
00:11:12.440 for you to see some of the things that we're doing and hear about why we're doing it. And as we all know
00:11:17.080 on YouTube, really important, don't forget to subscribe, and we'll talk soon.
00:11:26.760 I just seen a lot of YouTubers do that. He has, shockingly, unlike the CBC,
00:11:31.640 left his YouTube comments open. So we're going to read some of them. Welcome to YouTube. I expect
00:11:37.720 the commenters will be unkind to you. You deserve it. Hope you're reading these comments. Resign.
00:11:43.000 Reported for hate speech and misinformation. I guess his videos didn't meet the criteria of
00:11:48.120 things to force Google to censor within Canada. Weird. I have a feeling that Justin Trudeau's
00:11:52.680 YouTube channel, probably going to be just fine. Now for the time being, the comment section under
00:11:57.640 Justin Trudeau's videos on YouTube is still open. So if you want to have a good laugh and a good chuckle,
00:12:02.680 take a look at some of those videos and perhaps maybe let him know what you think in the comments
00:12:07.160 of his videos. But also, reminder to let me know in the comments section of this video
00:12:11.800 whether or not you would be prepared to protest in the street over Bill C-11. That's going to do it
00:12:17.160 for us today on the show. Thank you so much for tuning in. My name is Harrison Faulkner, and this is
00:12:21.880 Rachel.
