00:00:00.000 On the weekend, Prime Minister jetted down to North Captiva Island in Florida on a Challenger
00:00:12.960 jet operated by 412 Squadron out of Ottawa, an RCAF squadron, specifically for VIPs.
00:00:19.640 So in other words, you and I paid for that flight.
00:00:22.940 And then he was down there, somehow they got assistance from US Customs and Border Patrol
00:00:29.960 in order to use their boat in order to get the Prime Minister and his entourage to the two houses he rented on the island
00:00:37.520 and then back to the airport at Page Field again in order to fly back for whatever reason for one day.
00:00:46.820 And then on Tuesday, he flew back again from Ottawa back to Page Field in Florida.
00:00:53.080 The cost of which, that plane alone, never mind the salaries of flight attendants, pilots, ground crew who have to operate those flights, 0.53
00:01:05.740 the actual cost of running the plane has been estimated at somewhere north of $11,000 an hour.
00:01:11.880 And that's money, that's taxpayer money, that's money that's our jet-setting Prime Minister is just burning away.
00:01:22.840 And despite all of that, he says that you and I need to pay a carbon tax,
00:01:29.020 somehow offset the amount of fuel we're using in taking our kids to soccer practice or hockey practice.
00:01:35.000 It really is tone-deaf for him to be doing that.
00:01:39.580 You fly down for a weekend, you fly back for one day, presumably for meetings,
00:01:43.660 and I'm only assuming, given what happened today, that the meeting was with members of the Justice Committee,
00:01:50.320 Liberal members of the Justice Committee, who themselves flew all the way to Ottawa to hold a meeting today,
00:01:56.900 only to adjourn it after the Conservative members wanted to get the former Attorney General
00:02:02.120 to appear for a second time before the committee, and they just shut that down and then shut the committee down. 0.89
00:02:07.760 It's ridiculous.
00:02:08.600 And in fact, one member of that committee had to fly all the way from Vancouver to Ottawa 0.71
00:02:13.720 just to attend at the meeting in order for it to be adjourned.
00:02:18.800 And they needed to maintain their 5-4 majority on the committee, and he had to be there just for that. 0.67
00:02:24.420 It's such a ridiculous waste of taxpayer money, and the nerve of these people to lecture us
00:02:31.100 and impose this carbon tax on us, you know, when they're flying willy-nilly all over the place 0.83
00:02:37.980 for lack of a better description, for nefarious reasons.
00:02:43.100 It's really quite brazen.
