Summary
It's getting hard to keep track of all the hyperbole and rhetoric coming out of the federal government. Just a few days ago, the Foreign Affairs Minister Christia Freeland was in New York City to give a speech to the UN in which she said that white supremacism and Islamophobia were among the gravest threats to the world. And then, just today, the Environmental Minister, Catherine McKenna, took to Twitter to say that climate change is the most pressing issue of our time. Really? Does she and the foreign affairs minister ever talk to each other? Do their staffs not communicate? Does the Prime Minister's office not manage the message? There's something just highly suspicious about all of that.

It's really getting difficult to keep track of the rhetoric and hyperbole emanating from
00:00:14.400
the federal government. Just a few days ago, the Foreign Affairs Minister Christia Freeland
00:00:19.960
was in New York City to give a speech to the United Nations in which she said that white
00:00:24.900
supremacism and Islamophobia were among the gravest threats to the world. Really? I'm
00:00:30.780
not sure where she gets the evidence to make that sort of a statement, but that's a pretty
00:00:35.060
strong statement. And then just today, the environmental minister, Catherine McKenna,
00:00:42.400
took to Twitter to tell us that climate change is the most pressing issue of our time. Really?
00:00:49.340
Does she and the Foreign Affairs Minister ever talk to each other? Do their staffs not
00:00:57.080
communicate? Does the Prime Minister's office not manage the message? There's something
00:01:02.580
just highly suspicious about all of that, where everything is a grave threat. And then
00:01:08.520
the Prime Minister, just to underline it all, flew from Ottawa to Vancouver to take part in
00:01:14.460
the Visaki Parade in Surrey amongst and pander for votes amongst the Sikh community. He then
00:01:21.020
flew back to Ottawa via Saskatchewan, ostensibly for private meetings. He then flew to Kitchener
00:01:28.600
Waterloo to make an announcement and then back to Ottawa for a photo op, and then back to Toronto.
00:01:36.020
Then he got back on a plane and flew to the West Coast again to go to Tofino to do some surfing
00:01:42.380
with his wife and kids. This is not a Prime Minister who practices what he preaches. In fact,
00:01:50.200
if anything, it's more of the don't do as I do, do as I say style of leadership from this
00:01:57.260
guy. It's hard to imagine a team of public relations advisor who would advise the Prime
00:02:03.940
Minister that, yeah, that's a good thing in the space of just a few days. I want you to fly
00:02:08.520
across the country several times on a private plane paid for by the Canadian taxpayers. I
00:02:13.800
can't imagine that message is easy to smooth, nor would it certainly be in touch with what
00:02:20.180
the environment vendors just said today. It's all quite ridiculous with this crew. They preach
00:02:28.020
to us and they, as of April 1st, they put a carbon tax on the bulk of Canada and expect every one of us
00:02:35.520
us to pay more for the natural gas products, the energy products that we're using, be it from gasoline
00:02:43.860
to home heating oil or natural gas. These people are shameless, really, and they need to really do
00:02:51.780
a much better job. If they expect us to pay for all of this, shouldn't they actually be setting a
00:02:57.520
better example? For True North, I'm Leo Knight.
