00:00:00.000 The claims that the Trudeau Liberals attempted to politically interfere in what the RCMP was doing
00:00:05.560 in the immediate aftermath of the Nova Scotia 2020 mass shooting are incredibly alarming,
00:00:12.040 very concerning. So what's going on in this situation is there's a public inquiry, and the
00:00:17.040 public inquiry has released a whole variety of documents, including notes from RCMP Superintendent
00:00:22.900 Darren Campbell. He's based in Nova Scotia. In his notes, he says that RCMP Commissioner
00:00:28.900 Brenda Luckey, she came to them after they gave a press conference and said, you guys have to
00:00:33.740 publicly release the gun that was used in the shooting, information about the gun, what the gun
00:00:38.420 was, because she had promised Public Safety Minister and the Prime Minister's office that she would
00:00:45.020 release this information, she would get it out publicly, because it would help the Liberals with
00:00:50.220 their firearms legislation. Wow, it would help them politically. This is not a good thing. Now the
00:00:58.520 government is denying it, and ministers are saying, no, it's not the case, or he must have been
00:01:02.320 confused, but why would this guy lie? Why would he put this down if it's not true? I don't know,
00:01:07.940 maybe it's not true, but why would he make the claim if it's not correct? And here's the other
00:01:11.860 thing, Brenda Luckey is not actually entirely denying it. She's released a statement, I'm going to read to
00:01:16.420 you from some of it here. She says, the meeting included the flow of information to RCMP National
00:01:21.860 Headquarters on the investigation and the public release of information. It was a tense discussion,
00:01:26.680 and I regret the way I approached the meeting and the impact it had on those in attendance.
00:01:31.440 So she's acknowledging she was pushing for information, and she acknowledges that the
00:01:35.000 meeting didn't go so well, nor does she really flat out fully deny the particulars of what Campbell
00:01:42.600 is saying. This is not a good situation, and maybe if it was a one-off, we would go,
00:01:48.300 okay, maybe it didn't happen this way, but it reminds us of the SNC-Lavalin scandal. Again,
00:01:52.620 political interference in how the law is supposed to function, what the police do,
00:01:57.160 what the prosecution does. This story is very problematic.
