00:00:00.000 I understand that you're not able to say the cause of the Susie Lake fire under investigation.
00:00:04.860 Are there early indications that this would be human cause?
00:00:08.060 I know that that is largely what causes forest fires in this part of the country.
00:00:13.280 Yeah, so the cause of the fire was related to human activity.
00:00:17.960 It was an open fire.
00:00:20.060 There was nobody in the area when the crews arrived on scene.
00:00:24.380 That makes it impossible to hold the person or people responsible to account.
00:00:28.740 And, yeah, that's frustrating to everyone.
00:00:31.840 Can you say, like, the location of the start of the fire more precisely?
00:00:38.100 No, I don't have any details.
00:00:40.440 It is an ongoing investigation, and there's no details.

00:00:45.400 Yeah, correct, yeah.
00:00:46.700 I'm sorry I don't have any additional details other than it was human activity.
00:00:50.400 Was there a homeless encampment in this area where the fire, where crews responded to?
00:00:55.020 i think again sorry but i think like the the investigation in time will look at you know the
00:01:03.380 what the why the how all those types of things but um for right now the focus is just on
00:01:08.620 containing the fire fighting the fires um and just kind of reiterating to nova scotians that
00:01:14.840 it's a it's a risky situation and just obey the obey the laws that are in place right now but the
00:01:20.140 actual cause and stuff that that investigation will take that'll take
00:01:23.900 that'll take place after we get through this
