00:00:00.000 are. Okay, guys, so I want to tell you a story. Now, about in the last month, I was reached out

00:00:07.900 to by a reporter. And this reporter came up to me and she asked me to take part in her documentary

00:00:16.100 about me called The Rise of Pearl Davis. I'm like, wow. The rise of, like, that sounds like,

00:00:24.180 like, that sounds like evil. It's like the rise of anti-Semitism or the rise of racism. I'm like,

00:00:30.300 what are they, what are they putting about me in this documentary? So, you know, I just kind of leave

00:00:35.820 her on scene. I'm a busy gal. You know what I mean? I got left and right collaborations, requests, all

00:00:42.020 this stuff. So I'm like, I am a busy chica. So, you know, then she messages me again and says, well,

00:00:48.880 we're doing the documentary with or without you. And I'm like, wow. That's so crazy. And, you know,

00:00:57.280 I wonder, I think I haven't gotten as much of pushback because I'm a chick, to be honest. You

00:01:03.840 know, I think if I was a guy by now, I'd have some sexual assault allegations or something they would

00:01:09.920 just throw at me because I'm a chick. And the reason that I say this is because I see people

00:01:15.620 that get closer and closer to the truth, like Russell Brand, where they seemingly destroy this

00:01:21.080 man's reputation without a trial. And you see people reaching out to media networks to essentially

00:01:27.960 destroy him, calling him a rapist, saying that he has assaulted women, going to all of his exes.

00:01:35.420 You saw that happen with the Tates. And in recent news, Dave Portnoyd caught wind that they were 0.99

00:01:42.260 planning an attack on him. Um, so Dave actually got ahead of it and he called the Washington Post

00:01:50.040 about writing a hit piece on him. So let's pull up the clip.

00:01:55.080 This is Emily.

00:01:56.380 Hey, Emily, this is Dave Portnoyd calling. Uh, I'm recording you right now, but I've noticed a

00:02:02.000 bunch of people, you're, it seems like you're sending, we have this pizza fest happening on

00:02:06.400 Saturday and you're reaching out to our advertisers and you're basically sending an email 0.98

00:02:12.100 that says to the effect, Dave's a misogynic racist. Do you want to defend yourselves advertising 0.64

00:02:19.680 at this event? Right.

00:02:21.640 I'm sorry. What's your name, Dave? I'm sorry. Who are you?

00:02:24.340 I'm the guy you're writing the article about Dave Portnoyd.

00:02:26.740 Oh, you're Dave Portnoyd. Oh, Hey, how are you?

00:02:28.620 Good.

00:02:29.920 Good. No, I'm not, I'm not, I haven't said anything like that.

00:02:33.420 Well, I can, I can read if you want, if you want, I can read what you actually sent. I have it.

00:02:40.600 Yeah. Yeah. Read, cause I sent a bunch of notes, so I want to make sure I know which

00:02:44.620 one.

00:02:45.160 Okay. Uh, we are planning to write about the festival and how, and how some of the sponsors

00:02:50.280 and participants have drawn criticism by seemingly to associate themselves with Dave Portnoyd,

00:02:55.100 who has a history of misogynic comments and other problematic behavior. I want to make sure

00:03:00.540 that blank had a chance to respond to this since the company is the most prominent and their

00:03:04.260 partners of his festival.

00:03:05.420 Oh, that's the one I sent to, which was definitely the most pointed of them because I really

00:03:10.280 did want them to respond and I was hoping to get something from them.

00:03:13.780 Do you think that's fair? Like I totally disagree with the assertions of what you said, that

00:03:19.060 misogynic and all that stuff. So like it kind of backs people into a corner. So I'm happy

00:03:24.260 to go over anything. I mean, you have, that is pretty pointed. You said you didn't do it.

00:03:29.340 Then I have the exact evidence of you doing it. So I didn't say I didn't do that. I said

00:03:34.000 I did. That was the one that was the most.

00:03:35.820 Well, no, you, you, that went before I, before I provided proof, you said you didn't really

00:03:40.020 remember doing that. And then I read it to you and you're like, Oh yeah, I did it that

00:03:42.880 one time. So you did do it. Um, I'm happy to talk about the comments because to me, it's

00:03:48.460 kind of like tortures interference. Like we're doing an event. Everyone's happy about the event.

00:03:52.240 Uh, you know, I've raised 50 million for small business. I've held pizzas. None of that. It's

00:03:57.220 Dave's misogynic and problematic. And I'm happy to talk about it because to me, nobody would

00:04:02.380 like if someone's going around sending that email to their sponsors. And again, you're

00:04:07.140 not like questioning you. It's almost like a statement of fact. This is what I am. At

00:04:11.400 the same time, you're saying you don't know that that's actually truth. So you're, you're

00:04:16.160 leading with something that you haven't done enough research to know if it's valid.

00:04:19.520 I'm saying there might be a fuller picture and that's what I want to talk to you about.

00:04:24.080 And I want to set up a time tomorrow morning, maybe like 10. Are you free at 10?

00:04:30.720 I got to do more research on you. I still don't have the vibe that you're like that you're

00:04:36.460 going to give me any sort of fair shake. That was hilarious. No. And I'm telling you

00:04:44.940 guys, this is what these chicks do and feminine men. It's like the chicks in the 1.00

00:04:49.180 simps, the chicks in the simps. Um, they're already calling him misogynistic before they've

00:04:56.240 even talked to him. And that's why guys, they can't throw that at me. What are you

00:04:59.280 going to say? I'm a misogynist. What do I hate myself? I'm a woman. I'm a woman. This

00:05:05.700 is what he says. It's called slander. Well, libel since it is in writing. If any of his

00:05:10.100 sponsors back out and get similar messages, he has a lawsuit. She openly admitted she made

00:05:14.520 it up. Good point. Traditional journalism is dead. Defamation lawsuit, legit, disgusting,

00:05:20.240 unreal. This is so unfair. And this is the thing, guys. We're at a point in history where

00:05:25.960 we can't even trust journalists. And it's because all these chicks, they hit you with 1.00

00:05:31.180 misogynistic, racist, sexist, whatever they're going to throw at you that day. Um, whenever 0.96

00:05:37.180 they want to assassinate your character, they'll look for anything bad that you've said ever,

00:05:41.580 which I'm sorry, guys. If you had hours and hours and hours and hours of content of you

00:05:46.480 talking, you don't think you'll have anything you can take out of context? Really? I really

00:05:52.840 do think it's good he got ahead of it. And guys like this are actually speaking out about

00:05:56.880 really, uh, the attack that journalism does on men. It's mostly men that get hit with

00:06:01.900 this. It's misogynistic, sexual assault, rape, abuse, whatever they can throw at him, 0.99

00:06:08.640 you know, and then they report it to fame him without any evidence.
