JustPearlyThings - Modern Women Are Not Teachable

00:00:00.160 in my family now i don't know this is just i would just say where i'm from 0.93

00:00:06.720 they won't date like the women can't be dumb of course so and a lot of times like my brother 0.99

00:00:14.320 wouldn't date girls because they were education majors and he felt like a lot of the education 0.98

00:00:19.360 majors were dumb because it's an easy one yeah and and there's certain like majors that even from 0.98

00:00:25.120 the women are a bit looked down upon and it's not to say there aren't smart teachers but there's 1.00

00:00:31.040 actually a study and you know um teachers have a standard deviation lower iq than the rest of the

00:00:37.120 population actually yeah this is thomas sowell's book the decline in dogma of american education

00:00:42.960 if anyone's wondering where to find that stat it's somewhere in the book um i can't tell the page

00:00:48.320 yeah so um okay so much for the substitute teacher i know it's fine it's fine but um so like my there

00:00:57.280 would just be certain things my brothers like would not date yeah and it's like if you're gonna do if

00:01:02.400 you're gonna have no education or career it's not a bad thing but you have to have like skills to back 0.92

00:01:07.600 it up and it's very important to the men like they don't want a dumb woman raising their kids no absolutely 1.00

00:01:13.840 not i mean i agree you need to be informed you don't have to know everything about everything 0.97

00:01:19.280 but i think one thing that would serve like if you are um a little bit underperforming academically

00:01:27.280 and we know men don't care about our degrees and all that but if you do need to pick an area of study

00:01:32.640 study what he does be able to communicate in his language let's say i'm with somebody who's into real

00:01:37.760 estate i know nothing about real estate i have a chemistry degree i'm like a you know tech and and

00:01:42.560 um stem person but i try to at least understand you know buying a property and hiring a team and doing

00:01:52.080 that kind of work that's not my natural area but it shows um a dedication to kind of get on his program

00:01:59.040 and at least be useful to him because that's the language that he speaks and that's the world where

00:02:03.280 he lives and breathes um do not be a beautiful majestic creature whale tendencies yeah um they

00:02:13.120 want to go with a fitness routine because they also look at like your eating habits yeah so a guy might

00:02:18.960 see that you're thin when you're young but if you're eating all this stuff they kind of think this might

00:02:24.720 not be this much longer so guys look at like your fitness routine yeah um good with kids of course

00:02:33.200 um knows how to cook having your own recipes as a bonus i forgot to put on here ability to learn

00:02:40.800 i actually think that or not ability to follow like coachable coachable and manageable is huge because

00:02:48.400 like guys will overlook a lot if they feel like they can train you and that you're willing to be

00:02:53.600 trained so maybe you can't cook but you're willing to learn it's like a medal i had my brother say like

00:03:01.360 it was absolutely horrible the meal she cooked but i was just it was so i was so like it was so sweet of

00:03:06.480 her to like learn this recipe or whatever absolutely and that one ties back to what you had about not being

00:03:12.160 a majestic creature because i don't want to blow past that because i struggle with you know um making

00:03:18.400 healthy choices all the time i know a big part of it was the stress from you know working the way that

00:03:23.200 i was working but i take full responsibility for what i put in my mouth but to your point

00:03:28.080 men really love when you try even if you're not there yet you know we talked in the beginning about

00:03:33.920 i've lost a lot of weight but i have a ways to go and i get so much credit for basically doing what

00:03:41.920 i say i'm going to do and every day making incremental progress um so yeah that goes along

00:03:47.120 with that fitness routine and um you know being coachable and teachable you may not get it right

00:03:53.680 but if you're making a good faith effort that goes a long way with men i'll tell you my brother's engaged

00:03:59.280 and the girl he's engaged too she's an engineer so she's smart she makes a lot of money doing that 1.00

00:04:05.200 um and she went to culinary school for fun that's a dream of mine she's like there's nothing i mean

00:04:13.840 she's talked to maybe i'll open a restaurant or something i don't know but i was like she literally

00:04:19.200 just went to culinary school just to cook for him yeah i mean for me in the way that i was raised my mom

00:04:26.320 is a retired hi mom home science teacher formerly home economics so we talked about this yesterday i just

00:04:32.800 thought it was normal but it's okay if you didn't grow up cooking and doing laundry and cleaning

00:04:38.160 the house you can learn it and it's one of those things like i never understood it but you eat every

00:04:43.360 day so why wouldn't you cook every day but i know that's me but at least trying and making some

00:04:48.800 shortcuts where you need to i think it goes a long way it's it's a way that we show love that's what we've

00:04:53.200 done for hundreds of years thousands of years could you talk about okay because this confuses me okay

00:04:59.600 oh my gosh this confuses me femininity because a lot of times when women use it it's so broad 1.00

00:05:07.280 and there's never any real concrete like definition of it and that that i've seen and then i see all

00:05:14.160 these femininity coaches that just say get in your feminine energy and i'm just thinking what the heck 1.00

00:05:19.600 does that mean and i sort of understand what they're saying but a lot of times the way it translates to me

00:05:26.560 just the way i think is a lot of them doing nothing and then saying they did something ooh so it's like

00:05:33.600 a lot of women will like that coach femininity will be these masculine women that are clearly masculine 1.00

00:05:40.000 like i can see it like i'm talking to you i'm talking it'll be like these girls will come on the show 1.00

00:05:45.920 they don't cook they don't do any of the tradition but they're just in their feminine energy 0.84

00:05:50.160 and they might say that they cook but you can just tell when a woman talks about cooking 1.00

00:05:57.120 if she actually cooks because a girl that actually cooks will give you more detail

00:06:01.920 and like a girl that doesn't will say like like very broad oh i cook this or maybe like some recipe

00:06:07.440 she's seen her mom cook you can just tell so like what is femininity how do you improve it 1.00

00:06:14.720 yeah what what actually is femininity and what are the like how specifically do you improve it you 0.69

00:06:21.360 know this one it's interesting that you say that we actually talked about this on my last wives club

00:06:26.480 episode that's the other channel that i have but femininity is one of those things where 1.00

00:06:32.400 there is a dictionary definition and i looked it up but it's also one of those things it's a little bit

00:06:37.360 elusive because it's hard to define but you know it when you see it right however there are a lot of

00:06:43.440 buzzwords going on right now we have that soft life era but it's not something that you put on

00:06:48.880 it's who you are especially when you're tested so you remember when we talked about like i know that

00:06:55.280 i struggle sometimes with tough topics and so i have to remove myself get it together and come back

00:06:59.760 because i don't want to have you know an emotional response those are the times when you have an

00:07:05.520 opportunity to be you know masculine and you choose not to consistently so for me that's so good

00:07:13.440 who you are when you're tested okay right so when the kids are hungry and they're pulling at your

00:07:21.440 skirt and they're like mommy can we eat f them kids is probably not the most feminine response right so 1.00

00:07:28.560 you know we can work on that but yes it's it's a buzzword that you know if people say but they don't do

00:07:36.480 then they're not feminine because if you're truly feminine i don't have to tell you that i'm feminine you

00:07:41.520 would pick up on that right so to me and the dictionary definition is something about having

00:07:47.920 the qualities or the characteristics of a woman and when we had our last episode on the wives club i said

00:07:53.600 you know for me i really have been intentional about studying men because i am a boy mom you grew up

00:07:59.920 between brothers watching how they act and doing the opposite so if they come into a room and they're all

00:08:06.160 loud i bring my volume down i slow down and i'm mindful of my gestures if they take up a lot of

00:08:12.080 space if they're just like heavy you know stomping around then i'm like oh okay um and it is something

00:08:18.720 that i had to learn and we talked about this a little bit yesterday with co-ed schools and just kind

00:08:23.360 of like being around boys or any environment that you're in you're going to pick up on that whether it's

00:08:29.040 the corporate or whether it's girlfriends that you know are a little bit messy or whatnot so to answer

00:08:36.240 your question so that i clearly communicate you know being feminine is the opposite of a man and i 0.58

00:08:44.960 know things have gotten blended but i also believe being feminine is being consistent and being feminine is

00:08:53.280 um you know like i said when you're tested when it's difficult but you still maintain so how do you

00:08:59.440 improve on that um you seek it out and you get coaching and you act on that coaching like i shared

00:09:05.680 with you i learned that i used to have really masculine gestures i was a little bit all over the place so

00:09:11.360 you'll see me kind of put my hands down and clasp them together because i'm being mindful of okay i want

00:09:18.320 to be a little bit more um delicate and refined um i notice when i get loud i'll catch myself and i'll

00:09:27.280 lower my volume these are just things that i've had to work on for other people and i'm not joking it

00:09:31.840 could be swearing for you swearing wasn't an issue for me but being loud was um it could be uh being

00:09:39.200 gracious and generous to people like i smile a lot and i'm pleasant it might be an area that someone else

00:09:45.840 has to work on because they want to say you know what them kids or whatever so being mindful finding

00:09:53.200 out the areas where you're lacking because there are different ways to be feminine um there are

00:09:59.280 different types of it um these are all things that i've studied again for me it's an area that i could

00:10:05.280 kind of nerd out in but i think what you said about taking one thing at a time just knowing it kevin

00:10:12.080 always used to say self-awareness right not saying i'm a 10. i'm average i know that so i try to really

00:10:17.840 overperform in other areas and so you know a little bit long-winded answer but i would just like to

00:10:24.080 encourage anyone that you can definitely get better if it's something that's important to you and

00:10:28.960 femininity is what men respond to because they don't want somebody that reminds them of themselves 0.94

00:10:34.560 as many of you know i was just banned on tick tock and we are demonetized on a daily basis on this
