We got one more stripper saying part one, my money as a dancer.
00:34:33.480
They say sex workers are the first to let you know that there's a recession.
00:34:38.760
Not only are we actively in it, but we've been in it for a little bit.
00:35:10.140
When was the time in your life, guys, where you just realized that the world is crazy?
00:35:17.420
You know, because at some point you think it's you, right?
00:35:42.740
And then you say, hey, maybe you shouldn't let your wife talk to you that way.
00:35:49.740
And then you realize you're like, I'm not crazy.
00:35:55.320
Because they all listen to women, but not all women.
00:35:59.320
Sex workers are the first to let you know that there's a recession.
00:36:04.400
Not only are we actively in it, but we've been in it for a little bit.
00:36:11.880
I went back after a two-year break in December.
00:36:17.280
And before that two-year break, I had only danced for a year.
00:36:20.040
Now, in my first year, y'all, please don't jump me.
00:36:24.340
But in my first year, I made so much money that today, I am still living off of savings from two years ago.
00:36:35.420
But at the time, I was still working full-time for the state of Texas.
00:36:40.700
I had just moved to Austin, so my rent had just, like, fucking doubled.
00:36:46.840
So I had maxed out all my credit cards, gone through the savings that I had at the time.
00:36:50.820
Which, with social work, had taken me years to build up.
00:36:54.780
And I just, like, went through it in that move.
00:36:57.240
So as soon as I signed my lease in Austin, I got some dancer shoes and I took myself to the club.
00:37:08.420
On top of that, three weeks into moving to Austin with that job, I lost the job.
00:37:31.860
But definitely not enough to, like, fully live off of.
00:37:35.540
Especially because I didn't know what the fuck I was doing.
00:37:38.200
Like, I was being very baby dancer about everything.
00:37:47.620
And I really had to, like, see how far it could take me.
00:37:50.760
So instead of just working weekends, I committed to working every single day.
00:37:55.920
Hey, don't say that the strippers don't work hard.
00:38:17.080
We should show some gratitude to the women that do the job that nobody wants to do.
00:38:37.340
See, like, which shifts worked out best for me.
00:38:39.520
Eventually, I settled on working four days a week.
00:38:50.840
I made the mistake of thinking that it was going to be like that every single month.
00:38:55.540
And so my spending habits immediately went crazy.
00:38:59.520
I met a friend at that club, and she had been wanting to do a lot of traveling and dancing.
00:39:03.000
So we started traveling as dancers, and it turns out that dancing in different states is not the same.
00:39:10.820
And yes, sometimes you definitely can make a lot more money.
00:39:14.420
But all I'm going to say is I do well in Austin.
00:39:18.440
November is also kind of a big deal in Austin because of F1.
00:39:21.380
And in November, I made another, like, $37,000.
00:39:26.640
So naturally, with those two big months, I didn't work at all.
00:39:32.740
Like, I just took off, and I was traveling with my friend.
00:39:35.880
When I came back in March, which is also a big deal.
00:39:38.480
Yeah, so when women make a lot of money, we have a tendency to do as little as possible,
00:39:45.540
So, I mean, if a guy was in this position, he would just, he would work 12-hour days
00:39:56.020
EMS says, I need some church lady like Pearl to save her.
00:40:26.680
I had a big month again where I made, like, $20,000.
00:40:30.980
And let me tell you, that was the last of my big hits.
00:40:38.200
So I thought that was going to be, like, a standard thing.
00:40:53.300
Well, now it looks like she's pursuing a TikTok career.
00:41:24.980
We almost have the trailer done for the documentary.
00:41:37.540
If you want to donate to that, please donate to the GoFundMe.
00:41:49.640
But the next thing is, like, we may have to refilm some stuff.
