00:00:00.000 Oh You
00:00:04.000 You It was just an above-average
00:00:33.000 Day at the White House when your favorite president was catching up on the news
00:00:38.000 news.
00:00:39.000 When suddenly... Oh, Mr. President, there's a deadly virus from China taking American lives.
00:00:45.000 Oh, China!
00:00:46.000 Gross!
00:00:47.000 This sounds like a job for... Super Trump!
00:00:51.000 Oh, Super Trump!
00:00:53.000 Oh, no!
00:00:53.000 Bad!
00:00:56.000 Boobs.
00:00:57.000 But then, the worst possible thing happened.
00:01:01.000 Oh no, I've been infected with the deadly China virus from China.
00:01:05.000 Gross.
00:01:06.000 So the very strong, heroic Super Trump went to the hospital.
00:01:10.000 Some even thought the China virus had defeated him.
00:01:17.000 But on the third day, he rose from Walter Reed, and the China virus cried like a little infectious b****.
00:01:25.000 Oh, oh, and the Cuomo brothers too!
00:01:27.000 So Superdrump knocked them unconscious!
00:01:29.000 Dabble!
00:01:31.000 And threw them all the way to the planet Mars.
00:01:38.000 I'm, uh, slightly confused.
00:01:40.000 Superdrump!
00:01:45.000 All right, glad to be with you.
00:01:46.000 There's an intro if our guest is still on the line.
00:01:48.000 We'll be back with our drinking game rules, the hashtags, the promo codes.
00:01:52.000 But right now, for a little bit of pre-gaming, we have the very fetching, always lovely, if she's there, hopefully, Ms.
00:01:58.000 Megan Kelly.
00:01:59.000 Are you there?
00:02:00.000 Hey, I'm here.
00:02:01.000 How you guys doing?
00:02:02.000 Well, not so good now that I'm on a split screen with you and I have these thighs.
00:02:07.000 So I appreciate you making the time.
00:02:09.000 I feel totally underdressed, I gotta say.
00:02:10.000 I should have brought my A-game.
00:02:12.000 Well, I appreciate it because you are underdressed and I'm disgusted.
00:02:15.000 But let me ask you this.
00:02:16.000 By the way, your YouTube is Megyn Kelly and the Twitter is Megyn Kelly.
00:02:19.000 She's been doing some wonderful work, which we'll get to in a second.
00:02:21.000 Also, your exclusive interview with Tara Reid because that's incredibly relevant tonight.
00:02:25.000 But Megyn, I wanted to ask you something.
00:02:27.000 As someone who's moderated these debates in the past, specifically watched Pence there on stage in person, what do you expect to go down tonight?
00:02:39.000 I think it's basically the Hippocratic Oath.
00:02:41.000 Do no harm.
00:02:43.000 Especially if you're Kamala Harris.
00:02:45.000 Because they're winning.
00:02:46.000 They're ahead in all the latest polls by a lot.
00:02:49.000 So if I were her, I'd want to be just as quiet and as meek as possible.
00:02:54.000 This is not the time to come out and prove what a strong woman you are.
00:02:57.000 It's like, I'm invisible, and the more he talks, the better off I am.
00:03:00.000 It's fine.
00:03:01.000 I don't have to say much.
00:03:02.000 And Pence, you know, he needs to be the statesman, sort of the Yin-Trump-Xiang, and remind people that he can be serious and he can be solid and he's not going to be, you know, with the hands and the mask and he's going to be like the one that people can count on in a time of crisis.
00:03:16.000 Oh my gosh, you gotta go back to that.
00:03:17.000 That's a Slate article waiting to happen, Megyn Kelly.
00:03:19.000 him seeming serious and like the adult in the White House and her being like,
00:03:23.000 I'm not even here. It's all about Trump.
00:03:25.000 Oh my gosh, you got to go back to that.
00:03:27.000 That's a Slate article waiting to happen, Megyn Kelly.
00:03:29.000 Megyn Kelly says women should be meek.
00:03:32.000 It's smart.
00:03:34.000 It would be smart.
00:03:35.000 I think Joe Biden did the right thing too, but if I were him I would have been even more silent that last debate.
00:03:39.000 Just like, let Trump be Trump and let him remind everybody that he does things that are controversial and you just be over there like, who me?
00:03:47.000 I'm just going to sip my latte.
00:03:48.000 I'm going to eat my kale.
00:03:51.000 That's a horrible stereotype, of course, which is not accurate of all black-slash-Indian people.
00:03:57.000 Did you just advocate that Vice President Pence do jazz hands?
00:04:03.000 Is that what I saw you do?
00:04:04.000 Jazz hands?
00:04:05.000 Like, this is going to stop?
00:04:07.000 Today, Trump gave that impromptu statement at the White House, and he was out in front of the White House, and my kids and I were—he had, like, the full-body shot.
00:04:14.000 I mean, if you just—I challenge you to put that on and just keep doing everything he did in unison with him.
00:04:19.000 It was crazy, it was like out of hand.
00:04:22.000 Yeah, it's like he's doing it just for your kids, doing a sing-along.
00:04:24.000 Just follow the bouncing bum!
00:04:29.000 How would you grade, and I know this is tough for you, Megan, because you've worked with him, and obviously now you do so much on your own at YouTube.com slash Megyn Kelly.
00:04:36.000 Do we need to say like dot com slash?
00:04:38.000 Just YouTube Megyn Kelly.
00:04:39.000 Don't even push people there.
00:04:41.000 Push people in my podcast, which I just launched.
00:04:43.000 Megyn Kelly Show.
00:04:46.000 What was that?
00:04:46.000 Can you say it one more time?
00:04:47.000 Go to podcasts and search for The Megyn Kelly Show.
00:04:50.000 We made it very easy for you.
00:04:52.000 We kind of idiot-proofed it, so just M-E-G-Y-N, Kelly Show, and there I'll be.
00:04:56.000 Then subscribe.
00:04:58.000 And it's banned!
00:04:58.000 You shouldn't have been a guest!
00:04:59.000 You should not have been a freaking guest!
00:05:02.000 How would you grade Chris Wallace's performance with the last debate?
00:05:05.000 Because obviously there was a lot of fallout, where people didn't think he was... I don't think he was particularly unbiased.
00:05:12.000 I don't think it was as bad as people said.
00:05:13.000 I do think he stepped in to save Biden, which in my opinion is not a very good look.
00:05:19.000 So, okay, that's where I can defend him on the stepping in to save Biden a couple of times when he was on the ropes.
00:05:24.000 Because as a moderator, when the time is ticking away and one candidate won't be quiet or keeps interrupting, All you're thinking is, holy shit, I've lost total control of this hour.
00:05:34.000 I'm not going to get to this entire list of questions.
00:05:37.000 The debate is going to feel unfair because I needed to get to this part.
00:05:41.000 So all you're really looking to do when it's gone on too long is shut them up so you can move on.
00:05:46.000 And so I think a couple times he was just trying to wrap Biden, or Trump and Biden, so he could just move on.
00:05:51.000 And in an attempt to do that, he kind of quickly gave it to Biden.
00:05:54.000 And that wound up looking bad for Chris.
00:05:56.000 But I think the fair criticisms of Chris had to do with how some of the questions were loaded with information that was obviously bad for Trump and not really fair to Trump.
00:06:07.000 Like, you know, you wouldn't condemn white supremacy and what happened at Charlottesville and, you know, it was sort of written by somebody who had been accepting the New York Times headlines, which is not like him.
00:06:19.000 Yeah, well, you know, I don't just think it was, would you condemn white supremacy, which Donald Trump has done many times, but saying, would you condemn white supremacy?
00:06:26.000 Sure, sure.
00:06:27.000 The Proud Boys.
00:06:28.000 And listen, there are valid criticisms against the Proud Boys.
00:06:30.000 Namely, I just don't like joining large groups of people because I don't like gangs, but white supremacy is not one of them.
00:06:36.000 I mean, the guy who runs it is a black Cuban right now, so that's one of those things that Americans who know about the Proud Boys, who watch the interview go, okay, even if I don't like the Proud Boys, that was a really unfair intermingling of two separate points, but forcing one answer.
00:06:53.000 I mean, honestly, I like most people just assumed it was some white supremacy group because Biden specifically threw it out when Trump was like, name one.
00:06:59.000 And I hadn't, I mean, I follow the news and even I was like, cowboys, what do they do?
00:07:02.000 I know there's so many groups, it's hard to keep track, but they've gotten the best press of their life the last week, right?
00:07:06.000 Like now it's like, everybody knows who they are.
00:07:09.000 But my own read of that moment with Trump was, Chris asked him, will you condemn white supremacy?
00:07:15.000 And he says, sure.
00:07:16.000 And then what happens next?
00:07:18.000 He and Biden at the same time go, do it, do it, do it now.
00:07:23.000 Now, in what land does anybody think Donald Trump is going to respond well to that?
00:07:28.000 He doesn't like to look weak.
00:07:29.000 He doesn't like to be controlled by other people.
00:07:31.000 He hates the media.
00:07:32.000 He hates his opponent.
00:07:33.000 And I think he was just sort of trying to get, like, I'm not going to be your little puppet.
00:07:37.000 I said, sure, that's good enough.
00:07:39.000 Let's move on.
00:07:40.000 You know, I think that's, I think you're right.
00:07:40.000 Yeah.
00:07:41.000 It's the, do it, do it.
00:07:42.000 What's this?
00:07:43.000 The Children of the Corn?
00:07:44.000 What of us?
00:07:45.000 What of... Go screw yourself!
00:07:46.000 It's true.
00:07:47.000 It really, he doesn't like doing what people tell him to do, and I do think that it was a pretty fair response.
00:07:51.000 Sorry, go ahead.
00:07:51.000 That's true when you're Dare, and like when you're a kid, and you know, you take Dare, and they want you to like roll around in the mud or whatever they want you to do, and they're like, do it, do it, and then you're suddenly like...
00:07:59.000 I don't like you, and I don't like this game, and peace out.
00:08:02.000 Is that how girls play Truth or Dare?
00:08:04.000 Roll around in the mud?
00:08:05.000 Because we had very different childhoods.
00:08:08.000 Men are disgusting.
00:08:09.000 Well, you're married to one, so you know.
00:08:11.000 But our Truth or Dare was really bordering on criminal.
00:08:14.000 It was actually criminal.
00:08:17.000 It's different now in 2020.
00:08:17.000 Not anymore.
00:08:19.000 You're not allowed to even think about another person at all.
00:08:21.000 Yeah, always go with truth.
00:08:23.000 Always go with truth and then just lie.
00:08:26.000 That's how you win that game.
00:08:29.000 Why did I only learn this in my fourth, almost fifth decade of life?
00:08:33.000 That's because girls are earnest, right?
00:08:35.000 Girls mature earlier, and for some reason that maturity comes with this idea that they have to be honest and they'll get into less trouble.
00:08:41.000 We know that it's always better to not get caught.
00:08:45.000 Largely because we probably get our asses beaten by our moms more than girls, and rightfully so.
00:08:49.000 Let me ask you this.
00:08:49.000 Tara Reid, obviously, sexual allegations against Joe Biden, and you had an exclusive interview,
00:08:54.000 we had you on the show when that happened. What do you think about, was it NBC or ABC,
00:08:59.000 running it on their Australian network and not...
00:09:04.000 It was 60 Minutes, Australia.
00:09:05.000 It was 60 Minutes, right.
00:09:07.000 I always get 60 minutes and Charlie Rose confused because I can't tell the difference between fossils.
00:09:11.000 So what's your read on that and how much relevance do you think it plays into any of this considering that Kamala Harris said she believed Biden's accusers?
00:09:21.000 So that interview will have nothing to do with anything tonight, because it was in Australia, and people aren't even watching American 60 Minutes as much as they used to, never mind the Australian version.
00:09:31.000 And I do think a lot of people saw that Tara Reid interview that I did, because I put it on YouTube, but most people just grabbed it.
00:09:37.000 All the television networks grabbed it, and it actually wound up being seen by way more people than people who watched 60 Minutes.
00:09:42.000 We did the numbers.
00:09:43.000 Almost 30 million.
00:09:45.000 So they're aware of her.
00:09:46.000 The electorate is aware of her.
00:09:48.000 But the media has avoided that story like a plague.
00:09:51.000 I mean, like Trump coughing all over the Rose Garden right now.
00:09:55.000 I mean, they are like, no, Tara Reade, we don't want to talk about it.
00:09:58.000 And I feel bad for this woman because it took guts to come forward.
00:10:02.000 I mean, assuming she's telling the truth, it took guts to come forward.
00:10:05.000 If you assume she's not telling the truth, she at least deserves a fair hearing.
00:10:09.000 And we were lectured about that at length during the Brett Kavanaugh hearings.
00:10:13.000 And they just wouldn't give her the time of day, so...
00:10:16.000 I don't think you're going to get a Tara Reade question at any debate at all.
00:10:20.000 Yeah, no, I know wishful thinking.
00:10:22.000 Let me ask you this, kind of shifting pace there, because you mentioned Brett Kavanaugh and kind of getting into the legal side.
00:10:28.000 You obviously have a legal background.
00:10:29.000 What do you think about the declassifying right now with all the sort of, I guess, Russiagate, Spygate, whatever you want to call it at this point, all of these documents.
00:10:37.000 Do you think that was planned as an October surprise from the Trump camp?
00:10:41.000 And is it too little too late?
00:10:42.000 Do you think it'll have any kind of an effect?
00:10:43.000 Or even, I don't suspect it'll come up tonight.
00:10:46.000 I do think it was...
00:10:49.000 They knew about it, and the timing is not a coincidence, and it's probably not the only thing to come out, but I don't think it's going to do anything.
00:10:55.000 I mean, you tell me the media outlet, other than maybe Fox, maybe even the Washington Examiner, I don't even know if the Journal will go with it, that's really going to pump that story.
00:11:05.000 The media is all in for Biden.
00:11:07.000 They don't want to hear anything that's bad for him or good for Trump.
00:11:10.000 Their coverage thus far has been 90% bad for President Trump, all along negative about President Trump, so why would they change this closeout?
00:11:17.000 Yeah.
00:11:19.000 I think the only way maybe it would be undeniable is if something comes out where Biden knew about it as well, and they would have to ask him directly.
00:11:29.000 You know, something sort of popped up in the declassified documents that no longer ever does.
00:11:34.000 Steve, remember what happened when President Trump made a major step toward not achieving peace in the Middle East, but a major step toward it?
00:11:44.000 He was nowhere.
00:11:45.000 They barely wrote about it.
00:11:47.000 You wouldn't know he did anything.
00:11:49.000 I actually follow the podcast The Daily, that's the New York Times podcast every day.
00:11:53.000 And it's interesting, you know, I like to keep an eye on what they're doing, what they're saying.
00:11:57.000 They've never covered it.
00:11:58.000 Never once.
00:11:58.000 They were talking about, I don't know, some genocide in some country nobody's ever heard of.
00:12:02.000 They never talked about the Middle East or what just happened.
00:12:04.000 It's like, all right, well, I'll wait.
00:12:06.000 What about Hunter Biden's $3 million from the Moscow widow to do blow-off sex slaves' hip bones?
00:12:13.000 Did that pop up in the New York Times podcast?
00:12:15.000 I don't listen.
00:12:17.000 I think they did a defense of Hunter Biden when that story first came out, and I haven't heard about Hunter since then.
00:12:17.000 No, they don't.
00:12:23.000 You know, they usually switch when there's news like that to the pandemic.
00:12:26.000 Back to the pandemic, which is the bad story for Trump.
00:12:28.000 Right.
00:12:29.000 And by the way, I appreciate that you do listen to the other side.
00:12:31.000 I actually have always told people this.
00:12:32.000 I listen to the most biased liberal shows that I can, because that way, at least I know what I'm getting.
00:12:37.000 There isn't spin.
00:12:37.000 And that used to be, really, I would watch O'Donnell.
00:12:39.000 I would watch Matt Oberman when he was still a thing.
00:12:41.000 You know, the Young Turks.
00:12:42.000 I'd read Slate and Salon.
00:12:44.000 But now, CNN suffices.
00:12:46.000 Really, CNN suffices as a fill-in for MSNBC, but The Daily is maybe one from what you're telling me that I should also be paying attention to.
00:12:52.000 I like The Daily because I don't have to deal with those personalities you just listed, which I have no desire to deal with, and I'm really not a consumer of their news product.
00:12:59.000 News product, in quotes.
00:13:02.000 What I really do is try to read.
00:13:03.000 Read as much as I can from the left and the right.
00:13:04.000 I go to RealClearPolitics.com every morning, and they've collected editorials from left and right, and if you put one on top of the other on the same subject, a set of facts will emerge.
00:13:14.000 Yeah, I guess so.
00:13:19.000 By the way, he's going to be a competition to you, Keith Olbermann.
00:13:22.000 Apparently he'll be hosting some ESPN political show on YouTube.
00:13:25.000 I don't know what kind of cosmic bunny hole I jumped into where Keith Olbermann leaves a news network, goes to a sports network, to only have them relegate him to the online political news commentary on their YouTube channel, but that's where we are.
00:13:39.000 He's an angry, angry guy.
00:13:42.000 And that's not my cup of tea either.
00:13:44.000 I don't need more anger in my life.
00:13:46.000 Who's looking for more anger?
00:13:48.000 He's just dripping with it.
00:13:50.000 I remember a funny story about O'Reilly.
00:13:53.000 I was talking to him one day and I was saying, would you ever leave Fox for another network?
00:13:57.000 And he said, sure.
00:13:58.000 He's like, if I couldn't work out a deal here, I'd go to CNN or MSNBC.
00:14:02.000 This is 10 years ago.
00:14:04.000 And I said, really, I go, MSNBC?
00:14:06.000 He said, yeah.
00:14:07.000 I go, they'd have to fire old women first.
00:14:10.000 And he said, they'd have to set him on fire.
00:14:14.000 And he would be delivering a soliloquy while on fire.
00:14:14.000 Right.
00:14:14.000 Yeah.
00:14:17.000 I've never felt such flammable content to these degrees before.
00:14:20.000 I don't believe that this is like, all right, shut up and just burn.
00:14:26.000 I think Mike Pence is going to do better.
00:14:28.000 I did a fake documentary on Keith Olbermann with, it was played by yours truly, and he was pissed.
00:14:28.000 I just do.
00:14:32.000 I heard through the grapevine.
00:14:33.000 Okay, Megyn Kelly, final prediction.
00:14:35.000 We do have to get going here.
00:14:36.000 Who do you think comes out the victor tonight?
00:14:38.000 And then plug your Juicy podcast one more time that is not the Daily.
00:14:41.000 I think Mike Pence is gonna do better.
00:14:42.000 I just do.
00:14:43.000 I think he's a great debater.
00:14:44.000 He's totally self-controlled.
00:14:46.000 He's articulate.
00:14:48.000 He doesn't fumble for his words.
00:14:49.000 And the only way she's gonna really fall down and mess it up is if she gets too loud
00:14:55.000 and too aggressive and calls too much attention to herself.
00:14:58.000 I think she should be quiet and let her boss keep winning, and he should be the smooth, reassuring second-in-command.
00:15:03.000 But she can do all those things with one laugh.
00:15:05.000 It's like, it'll be like Mystic Pizza.
00:15:08.000 So I don't know.
00:15:09.000 It is the Megyn Kelly Show on podcast available.
00:15:12.000 Apple, Android, wherever podcast.
00:15:14.000 Megyn, thank you so much for coming in.
00:15:15.000 We appreciate it.
00:15:16.000 And thanks for lending your expertise.
00:15:18.000 What do you have under that rope?
00:15:18.000 Thanks for having me.
00:15:20.000 Well, you know, this is actually, I actually had regulation boxing shorts and Ted Cruz was on the pregame, the last stream.
00:15:27.000 And then I, I didn't re I realized that there's a reason boxers don't wear those shorts seated this way.
00:15:31.000 They're typically standing in the ring.
00:15:33.000 So these are actually the new and improved.
00:15:35.000 But these are my hairy melting pot Scottish-German-Irish thighs.
00:15:41.000 So play more where that came from.
00:15:43.000 You play your cards right.
00:15:44.000 Thank you Meg and Kelly.
00:15:45.000 You are welcome.
00:15:46.000 We must go.
00:15:47.000 Be well.
00:15:48.000 Let's go to the intro and come on in with the drinking game rules!
00:15:51.000 Intro Music Intro Music
00:16:41.000 Intro Music Actually, it is Crowder Debate Stream, the hashtag, CrowderDebateStream.
00:16:59.000 If you go to louderwithcrowder.com slash MugClub, you will get $20 off for the next 24 hours.
00:17:04.000 And my half-Asian lawyer, Bill Richman, is here.
00:17:07.000 He can confirm that our page on Facebook has been throttled for citing CDC statistics.
00:17:12.000 So if you're trying to watch on Facebook, Uh, really, listen, it's a 50-50 shot that this stream gets pulled or not.
00:17:19.000 Uh, so, um, we just add, please ask that you, uh, join Mud Club.
00:17:23.000 It'd be like someone, someone walked into your work and said, hey, there's going to be a pay, we have to make some pay cuts.
00:17:28.000 Like, oh my gosh, what's it going to be?
00:17:29.000 Well, it could be 5%.
00:17:31.000 Could be 45%.
00:17:32.000 I don't know.
00:17:32.000 Like, well, which is it?
00:17:33.000 That's what I'm telling you.
00:17:34.000 All right.
00:17:34.000 See ya.
00:17:35.000 That's what I'm saying.
00:17:36.000 That's what happens when Facebook and YouTube decide to throttle us.
00:17:39.000 Uh, but we're working on it, right?
00:17:40.000 Their half-patient bill?
00:17:41.000 If I leave suddenly in the middle, you'll know something is afoot.
00:17:41.000 Yes.
00:17:44.000 And if I leave suddenly in the middle, it's because I have a stomach bug.
00:17:48.000 Don't worry, it's not the COVID.
00:17:52.000 Speaking of which, do you know that on this day in history last week, Donald Trump was diagnosed with COVID and now it's like it never happened.
00:17:59.000 That's great.
00:18:01.000 Like a fart in the wind.
00:18:03.000 It's good.
00:18:05.000 He's back in the office, ready to go.
00:18:07.000 Gerald A. is here, how are you?
00:18:08.000 How's father treating you?
00:18:09.000 It's fantastic.
00:18:10.000 Very nice.
00:18:11.000 A month old right now.
00:18:12.000 By the way, we're also going to have the costume contest.
00:18:15.000 He doesn't care.
00:18:15.000 Yeah, I'm not that interested.
00:18:16.000 Babies bore me, unless they're my own, at least that's what I'm told, and I hope it's correct, otherwise it'll be tossed out a window.
00:18:16.000 Not so much.
00:18:23.000 Ouch.
00:18:25.000 There's a fire station down the street.
00:18:26.000 Into a bouncy hop.
00:18:27.000 No, you just do the Michael Jackson, you hang him out the window.
00:18:30.000 Show him up.
00:18:31.000 Or you just do the Michael Jackson story you never heard of, you just toss a kid in the chimpanzee cage.
00:18:35.000 Don't irritate him!
00:18:36.000 Don't give him any Jesus juice!
00:18:40.000 Was it bubbles?
00:18:41.000 That chimp was vicious as hell from what I understand.
00:18:45.000 Don't go near the chimp cage!
00:18:47.000 I gave him Jesus juice and Xanax!
00:18:50.000 Of course you did, Michael.
00:18:52.000 But let's forgive it all.
00:18:54.000 Let's forgive the fact that he was a glorified pedophile with an ice cream truck because he wrote Smooth Criminal.
00:19:01.000 Loudearthcrowder.com also slash WhitmerDeathToll, where you can go and submit your own FOIA request and print your WhitmerDeathToll posters.
00:19:08.000 There have been a lot of those in Michigan right now, and the Supreme Court just struck down her unconstitutional executive orders.
00:19:13.000 Costume contest after this, of course, where we will give the winner a lock of Gerald's hair.
00:19:17.000 Drinking Game Rules.
00:19:18.000 Let's bring them up.
00:19:20.000 Anytime the Vice President gets a leading unfair question he has to defend Trump's character or the moderator teams up with Kamala and you hear this ding!
00:19:20.000 Drink Game Rules!
00:19:28.000 You are to drink.
00:19:30.000 Anytime Kamal Harris gets a softball question, dodges the question, cackles evilly, not sure if that's spelled correctly, or tries to be hip, namely listing rappers who've been dead for the last two and a half decades as their currently active favorite rapper, then you have to just down your drink.
00:19:47.000 Let me tell you, this is what I think tonight, and then I want to go to you guys because the stream's about to start really quickly.
00:19:53.000 As far as what Pence needs, he needs a tie.
00:19:56.000 He needs a tie because there's the identity politics of white straight male and then there's white pence.
00:20:06.000 He is very good at staying on point, but Kamala Harris is a dirty fighter.
00:20:09.000 She's very aggressive as a prosecutor, right?
00:20:11.000 But she doesn't do so well on her heels.
00:20:13.000 And so I think what Pence needs to do is be disciplined, but tear a little bit of a page from Trump's book, really more a page from Andrew Breitbart's book, and cut her off at the pass.
00:20:20.000 If she starts bringing up white supremacy, you can just say, Kamala, do you believe I'm a white supremacist?
00:20:24.000 Why are you asking me that?
00:20:25.000 If not, stop wasting my time.
00:20:27.000 So he needs to just sort of swat it down, paw it away, and go right down the middle.
00:20:31.000 What do you think, half-Asian Bill?
00:20:33.000 I think if Kamala isn't ready to answer some of those really tough questions that she got during the early debates, she's going to have a big problem.
00:20:40.000 I think she will have prepared a lot, especially... The only one she didn't answer was that Joe Biden's a racist and rapist.
00:20:46.000 She was a racy Jim Crow.
00:20:47.000 Very clear on that one.
00:20:49.000 So I think that's absolutely right.
00:20:50.000 But, you know, look, Mike Pence has a lot of appeal to certain groups.
00:20:54.000 Unfortunately, albinos don't vote a lot.
00:20:57.000 He's gonna have to really give some credibility here if he wants to at least hit a tie.
00:21:02.000 Right now there's some guy at home with his eyebrows look like they were burned off like dark brown.
00:21:05.000 Hey!
00:21:06.000 I'm on an option T!
00:21:09.000 Alright, what do you think there?
00:21:11.000 I think that Pence is the respectable side of the ticket.
00:21:14.000 He was brought on in 2016 to give Trump a little bit more of a kind of conservative face.
00:21:19.000 And I think that's his role here.
00:21:20.000 He's got to be firm, but he also has to be respectable.
00:21:22.000 I don't think that matters so much because Donald Trump has been the most conservative president in modern history.
00:21:26.000 No, no, I know.
00:21:27.000 That's why he was brought in, but I'm saying I don't think he needs to play that role of conservative enforcer anymore.
00:21:32.000 He needs to really just play the role of enforcer against Kamala Harris.
00:21:35.000 Well, he's got to be careful.
00:21:36.000 He can't look like another version of Donald Trump.
00:21:39.000 He's got to look like somebody who's a little bit more humble and a little bit more ready to pounce when the information is incorrect, but let you speak long enough to hang yourself.
00:21:47.000 He needs to front load it heavy with facts.
00:21:49.000 In other words, come out and rat-tat-tat-tat-tat and then give her enough space so that that
00:21:53.000 way he can cut her off at the pass and then he can be mobile, he can be fleet of foot,
00:21:56.000 you know, so that he can move around her a little bit.
00:21:59.000 But he's got to come out and front load it.
00:22:01.000 Be front heavy with the facts, with the information.
00:22:03.000 Every answer he gives, two reasons.
00:22:05.000 That then allows him to be a little more flexible so that he can show that he can go off book, because I think it's a question mark with Vice President Pence, as well as if he is going to have to fight off Kamala Harris and a moderator.
00:22:17.000 It allows him to get his info out and then it's less consequential.
00:22:20.000 So hopefully people there are taking notes.
00:22:22.000 It's Dana Bash!
00:22:26.000 I hope he pisses her off, by the way.
00:22:27.000 I really do.
00:22:28.000 I hope he gets under her skin.
00:22:29.000 But politely.
00:22:30.000 Yeah, by not responding maybe the way that she wants when she throws something out there.
00:22:34.000 But I hope she gets riled because when she does, she is at her unlikable best.
00:22:37.000 She should just throw something out there.
00:22:38.000 Notably, a weighted tin cup.
00:22:42.000 I expect her to go identity politics a little bit.
00:22:44.000 You know, what she does need to do is she does need to resolve some sort of conflicting agendas, right?
00:22:48.000 This sort of radical progressive left agenda.
00:22:51.000 And then there's the sort of establishment agenda, right?
00:22:54.000 People try to say she's a moderate, where I think she was actually rated as the most liberal member of the Senate, not including favors to Willie Brown.
00:23:02.000 And then she has, of course, this really crazy, harsh agenda, a long track record as a prosecuting attorney.
00:23:10.000 And here's something, too.
00:23:10.000 Giuliani made a good point about this.
00:23:12.000 He said, you know, as someone who's been a prosecutor, we've seen people like Kamala Harris.
00:23:17.000 They're what we call lazy.
00:23:18.000 They pad their records.
00:23:19.000 She would arrest people who were nonviolent drug offenders to pad her record and let Let the big fish get away!
00:23:25.000 And he coughed.
00:23:26.000 And I think that's true.
00:23:27.000 People need to know that.
00:23:28.000 Kamala Harris has done more to mass-incarcerate non-violent drug offenders, people of color, and enslave them really to the state beyond their sentence in some cases, and let the big criminals who are causing real damage go.
00:23:43.000 Yeah, exactly.
00:23:43.000 And I don't think she has a leg to stand on with her record.
00:23:45.000 Let the lawyer speak!
00:23:47.000 You don't know anything about law!
00:23:49.000 No, no, I'm deferring, deferring to the man in the yellow hat.
00:23:51.000 Don't defer!
00:23:52.000 I reclaim my time.
00:23:53.000 Don't defer, don't confer, just throw a fur at him.
00:23:56.000 I'd like to see a pelt hit him in the... Oh, hold on a second, they might be walking out.
00:24:01.000 You missed your chance, half-Asian Bill!
00:24:02.000 No, no, no, I got my chance.
00:24:04.000 Here it is.
00:24:06.000 Kamala was attacked repeatedly for failing to actually articulate some good planks, some positions, some something.
00:24:13.000 Biden also failed to do that.
00:24:15.000 So unless she has done something in the last couple months to learn what her positions are and come out there and articulate them clearly, she will fail to, again, inspire anyone to come out and vote.
00:24:24.000 And that's what this will turn into, is turnout.
00:24:27.000 Yeah, and I noticed they have plexiglass between them because that stops a virus, but I'm hoping that someone gets checked into the boards like a roller hockey player.
00:24:35.000 That would be fantastic.
00:24:35.000 Why do they have desks?
00:24:36.000 Why aren't they standing?
00:24:37.000 Well, there's only plexiglass to their sides.
00:24:39.000 I know.
00:24:40.000 So most of their talking is going to be directly to the tray.
00:24:43.000 Because microscopic aerosol particles can't, you know, they can't just like look around first.
00:24:46.000 It's going to hit the moderator and bounce off again.
00:24:48.000 I think the New York Times even did an article saying that that wasn't going to do anything, but hey, thanks for trying.
00:24:53.000 I will say this about, and again, the hashtag is CrowderDebate so you can get $20 off if you join up there.
00:24:59.000 Oh, wait!
00:25:00.000 I don't know how I got these scars.
00:25:04.000 Welcome to the first and only vice presidential debate of 2020.
00:25:08.000 Don't worry, it's the only.
00:25:08.000 Sponsored by the Nonpartisan Commission on Presidential Debates.
00:25:13.000 I'm Susan Page of USA Today.
00:25:15.000 It is my honor to moderate this debate.
00:25:18.000 It's not our honor to have you moderating the debate.
00:25:21.000 In Kingsbury Hall tonight, we have a small and socially distant audience, and we've taken extra precautions during this pandemic.
00:25:29.000 Mentally distant audience.
00:25:30.000 Among other things, everyone in the audience is required to wear a face mask.
00:25:33.000 Did you see the kids with masks on earlier in the audience?
00:25:36.000 Talk about low energy.
00:25:37.000 They looked like kids who wanted to go on the roller coaster and instead got put in the merry-go-round.
00:25:41.000 My mom made me do this for the photo.
00:25:43.000 ...at the end of the debate.
00:25:45.000 And now, when I introduce the candidates, please welcome California Senator Kamala Harris
00:25:51.000 and Vice President Mike Pence.
00:25:54.000 APPLAUSE So right here we've got the contrast, we've got the GI Bill.
00:26:05.000 Joe lookalike, and the generically ethnic on a Gap ad.
00:26:10.000 Your guess is as good as mine.
00:26:11.000 First P.O.S.
00:26:13.000 candidate.
00:26:15.000 P.O.C.
00:26:17.000 Oh, but she wore the high heels just to dig the knife.
00:26:20.000 Senator Harris and Vice President Pence, thank you for being here.
00:26:23.000 A little bit height-challenged.
00:26:24.000 We're meeting as President Trump and the First Lady continue to undergo treatment in Washington after testing positive for COVID-19.
00:26:32.000 We send our thoughts and prayers to them for their rapid and complete recovery and for the recovery of everyone afflicted by the coronavirus.
00:26:41.000 The two campaigns and the Commission on Presidential Debates have agreed to the ground rules for tonight.
00:26:46.000 I'm here to enforce them on behalf of the millions of Americans who are watching.
00:26:52.000 One note, no one in either campaign or at the Commission or anywhere else has been told in advance what topics I'll raise or what questions I'll ask.
00:27:03.000 This 90-minute debate will be divided into nine segments of about 10 minutes each.
00:27:07.000 I'll begin a segment by posing a question to each of you, sometimes the same question, sometimes a different question on the same topic.
00:27:15.000 You will then have two minutes to answer without interruption by me or the other candidate.
00:27:21.000 Then we'll take six minutes or so to discuss the issue.
00:27:25.000 At that point, although there will always be more to say, we'll move on to the next topic.
00:27:29.000 Is she reading out the rule card to Ripley?
00:27:31.000 We want a debate that is lively, but Americans also deserve a discussion that is civil.
00:27:37.000 These are tumultuous times, and we're gaining will through respectful exchange about the big issues facing our nation.
00:27:47.000 Let's begin with the ongoing pandemic that has cost our country.
00:27:53.000 Senator Harris, the coronavirus is not under control.
00:27:58.000 Over the past week, Johns Hopkins reports that 39 states have had more COVID cases over the past seven days than in the week before.
00:28:07.000 Nine states have set new records.
00:28:09.000 Even if a vaccine is released soon, the next administration will face hard choices.
00:28:14.000 What would a Biden administration do in January and February that a Trump administration wouldn't do?
00:28:21.000 Would you impose new lockdowns for businesses and schools and hotspots?
00:28:26.000 A federal mandate to wear masks?
00:28:28.000 You have two minutes to respond without interruption.
00:28:30.000 Thank you, Susan.
00:28:32.000 Well, the American people have witnessed what is the greatest failure of any presidential administration in the history of our country.
00:28:42.000 And here are the facts.
00:28:46.000 210,000 dead people in our country in just the last several months.
00:28:50.000 Over 7 million people who have contracted this disease.
00:28:54.000 One in five businesses closed.
00:28:57.000 We're looking at frontline workers who have been treated like sacrificial workers.
00:29:03.000 We are looking at over 30 million people, shaking his head, who in the last several months had to file for unemployment.
00:29:11.000 And here's the thing.
00:29:13.000 On January 28th, the vice president and the president were informed about the nature of this pandemic.
00:29:21.000 They were informed that it's lethal in consequence, that it is airborne, That it will affect young people?
00:29:29.000 Incorrect.
00:29:30.000 Incorrect, Airborne.
00:29:31.000 That's only, let's fact check that, that's only recently.
00:29:33.000 That's the idea of Airborne is aerosol particles, not droplets.
00:29:37.000 Let's be really clear about that.
00:29:39.000 That is incorrect.
00:29:40.000 WAHO, better fact check that, PolitiFact meter, whichever one uses the Pinocchios or the meter, all of them better break.
00:29:46.000 Better be a broken wooden nose and a meter that doesn't work.
00:29:50.000 The President said it was a hoax.
00:29:53.000 No, he didn't.
00:29:54.000 No, he didn't.
00:29:55.000 The president said, you're on one side of his ledger if you wear a mask, you're on the
00:29:59.000 other side of his ledger if you don't.
00:30:02.000 And in spite of all of that, today they still don't have a plan.
00:30:07.000 They still don't have a plan.
00:30:09.000 Well, Joe Biden does.
00:30:10.000 And our plan is about what we need to do around a national strategy.
00:30:14.000 They banned travel to China, declared a national public health emergency.
00:30:18.000 They invoked a defense production act.
00:30:20.000 They got PPE.
00:30:20.000 They had to replenish the stockpiles from your candidate, right, who was vice president at that point in time.
00:30:26.000 I mean, of course, you guys have done nothing.
00:30:28.000 And by the way, Joe Biden was nowhere.
00:30:30.000 He was nowhere.
00:30:31.000 Instead, you let Nancy Pelosi go out like your proxy, telling people to go eat dumplings in Chinatown.
00:30:35.000 Let's continue.
00:30:37.000 Based on this.
00:30:38.000 Thank you, Senator Harris.
00:30:39.000 Ooh, she's coming out dirty.
00:30:40.000 Vice President Pence, more than 210,000 Americans have died of COVID-19 since February.
00:30:45.000 Why did you do this?
00:30:46.000 The U.S.
00:30:47.000 death toll as a percentage of our population is higher than that of almost every other wealthy nation on Earth.
00:30:54.000 For instance, our death rate is two and a half times that of Canada next door.
00:30:58.000 You head the administration's coronavirus task force.
00:31:02.000 Why is the U.S.
00:31:03.000 death toll as a percentage of our population higher than that of almost every other wealthy country?
00:31:10.000 And you have two minutes to respond without interruption.
00:31:13.000 Susan, thank you.
00:31:14.000 And I want to thank the commission and the University of Utah for hosting this event.
00:31:19.000 And Senator Harris, it's a privilege to be on the stage with you.
00:31:23.000 Now go straight for the throat!
00:31:25.000 Our nation has gone through a very challenging time this year.
00:31:29.000 I want you to grow your throat like a rabid raccoon like you're a crocodile.
00:31:32.000 From the very first day, President Donald Trump has put the health of America first.
00:31:37.000 Before there were more than five cases in the United States, all people who had returned from
00:31:43.000 China, President Donald Trump did what no other American president had ever done, and that was
00:31:49.000 he suspended all travel from China. That's true, you people call the racist.
00:31:53.000 Kinda like you called Joe Biden racist, right Kamala?
00:31:56.000 Also a rapist.
00:32:00.000 He said it was xenophobic and hysterical.
00:32:03.000 But I can tell you, having led the White House Coronavirus Task Force, that that decision alone by President Trump bought us invaluable time to stand up the greatest national mobilization since World War II.
00:32:15.000 And I believe it saved hundreds of thousands of American lives.
00:32:19.000 Because with that time, we were able to reinvent more than 150 million tests.
00:32:24.000 We were able to see to the delivery of billions of supplies so our doctors and nurses had the resources and support they needed.
00:32:32.000 And we began, really, before the month of February was out, to develop a vaccine and to develop medicines and therapeutics that have been saving lives all along the way.
00:32:41.000 And under President Trump's leadership, Operation Warp Speed, we believe we'll have Literally tens of millions of doses of a vaccine before the end of this year.
00:32:48.000 Which Kamala Harris will not take.
00:32:49.000 The reality is, when you look at the Biden plan, it reads an awful lot.
00:32:53.000 Like what President Trump and I and our task force have been doing every step of the way.
00:32:57.000 When we get that, I know we can go to clip E1 in a little bit where we have her saying she wants a vaccine, but not right now.
00:33:01.000 Just in case you didn't.
00:33:03.000 Why do you doubt your senses?
00:33:04.000 Advancing testing, creating new PPE, developing a vaccine.
00:33:06.000 Is the Vice President chewing tobacco?
00:33:08.000 Looks a little bit like plagiarism.
00:33:10.000 He's chewing that ass!
00:33:13.000 I mean it in a euphemism way.
00:33:15.000 You gotta get in that asshole, Larry!
00:33:17.000 You get in there and you spray paint?
00:33:19.000 Mike Pence was here!
00:33:21.000 Mike Pence, you chewing candy bars, leaving rappers around and shit?
00:33:24.000 Gotta get up in that ass, Mitt Pence!
00:33:25.000 What the hell?
00:33:26.000 Senator Harris, would you like to respond?
00:33:28.000 Absolutely.
00:33:29.000 Whatever the Vice President is claiming the administration has done, clearly it hasn't worked.
00:33:34.000 When you're looking at over 210,000 dead bodies in our country, American lives that have been lost, families that are grieving that loss.
00:33:44.000 The Vice President is the head of the task force.
00:33:47.000 And knew on January 28th how serious this was.
00:33:48.000 different flu seasons by the way, it's just a never ending toll.
00:33:50.000 How many we should be okay with?
00:33:51.000 On January 28th, how serious this was.
00:33:53.000 Is there a number?
00:33:54.000 Thanks to Bob Woodward, we learned that they knew about it.
00:33:58.000 And then when that was exposed, the vice president said, when asked, well, why didn't y'all tell anybody?
00:34:05.000 He said because the president wanted people to remain calm.
00:34:09.000 Well let's get rid of the too much information.
00:34:11.000 No we should cause a panic Susan.
00:34:13.000 Or a virus that forces CDC if you're under 50 has a 100% survival rate.
00:34:19.000 99.9998% survival rate if you're under the age of 50.
00:34:23.000 Even if you're a fat son of a bitch.
00:34:25.000 We should make everybody panic!
00:34:27.000 When your kids were sent home from school and you didn't know when they could go back.
00:34:31.000 How kind were you when your children couldn't see their parents because you were afraid they could kill them?
00:34:37.000 Let's give Vice President Pence a chance to respond.
00:34:40.000 Vice President Pence, you have one minute to respond.
00:34:41.000 You know, there's not a day gone by that I haven't thought of every American family that's lost a loved one.
00:34:46.000 And I want all of you to know that you'll always be in our hearts.
00:34:48.000 She was thinking of BJ's for mayors.
00:34:50.000 And in our prayers.
00:34:52.000 But when you say what the American people have done over these last eight months hasn't worked, that's a great disservice to the sacrifices the American people have made.
00:35:03.000 Shut up!
00:35:05.000 Let her do this.
00:35:06.000 The reality is, Dr. Fauci said, everything that he told the President in the Oval Office, the President told the American people.
00:35:13.000 Now, President Trump, I will tell you, has boundless confidence in the American people, and he always spoke with confidence that we'd get through this together.
00:35:20.000 But when you say it hasn't worked, When Dr. Fauci and Dr. Birx and our medical experts came to us in the second week of March, they said if the president didn't take the unprecedented step of shutting down roughly half of the American economy, that we could lose 2.2 million Americans.
00:35:38.000 Wow.
00:35:38.000 And that's the reality.
00:35:39.000 Thank you.
00:35:40.000 They also said to us if we did everything right, Susan, we could still lose more than 1,000 Americans.
00:35:45.000 How one life lost is too many, Susan.
00:35:49.000 But the American people, I believe, deserve credit for the sacrifices that they have made, putting the health of their family and their neighbors first, our doctors, our nurses, our first responders.
00:35:59.000 Thank you, Vice President Pence.
00:36:00.000 And I'm going to speak up on behalf of what the American people have done.
00:36:02.000 Vice President Pence, you were in the front row.
00:36:04.000 She's smirking and laughing at the American people.
00:36:07.000 Oh, that man's worked with your slave-owning ancestors, but not here.
00:36:11.000 Proud of it.
00:36:12.000 That's a tough history to have.
00:36:14.000 And now a cluster of coronavirus cases among those who were there.
00:36:18.000 How can you expect Americans to follow the administration's safety guidelines to protect themselves from COVID when you at the White House have not been doing so?
00:36:29.000 Well, the American people have demonstrated over the last eight months that when given
00:36:35.000 the facts, they're willing to put the health of their families and their neighbors and
00:36:38.000 people they don't even know first.
00:36:41.000 President Trump and I have great confidence in the American people and their ability to
00:36:47.000 take that information and put it into practice.
00:36:50.000 In the height of the epidemic, when we were losing a heartbreaking number of 2,500 Americans
00:36:57.000 a day.
00:36:58.000 We surged resources to New Jersey, and New York, and New Orleans, and Detroit.
00:37:03.000 We told the American people we needed the gun, and the American people made the sacrifices.
00:37:06.000 When the outbreak in the Sunbelt happened this summer, again, the American people... In Florida, that is death's waiting room.
00:37:14.000 There's not a lot of people out there that die, I think.
00:37:16.000 The vacancy on the Supreme Court of the United States has come upon us and the president
00:37:21.000 introduced Judge Amy Coney Barrett.
00:37:23.000 Thank you.
00:37:24.000 Thank you, Vice President.
00:37:25.000 If I may say that Rose Garden event, there's been a great deal of speculation about it.
00:37:29.000 My wife, Karen, and I were there and honored to be there.
00:37:32.000 Many of the people who were at that event, Susan, actually were tested for coronavirus
00:37:37.000 And it was an outdoor event, which all of our scientists regularly and routinely advise.
00:37:42.000 The difference here is President Trump and I trust the American people to make choices in the best interest of their health.
00:37:51.000 Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.
00:37:53.000 Consistently talk about mandates, and not just mandates with the coronavirus, but a government takeover of healthcare, the Green New Deal, all government control.
00:38:03.000 Let's talk about respecting the American people.
00:38:08.000 You respect the American people when you tell them the truth.
00:38:11.000 You respect the American people when you have the courage to be a leader speaking of those things that you may not want people to hear but they need to hear so they can protect themselves.
00:38:20.000 Oh, by the way, what is the truth?
00:38:21.000 Come on.
00:38:21.000 What is the truth?
00:38:22.000 You gonna pack the cart, sweetheart?
00:38:24.000 You gonna pack the cart?
00:38:24.000 You wanna do it in the Electoral College?
00:38:26.000 You want to do it with the electoral college?
00:38:28.000 Peanut!
00:38:30.000 You don't have enough money saved up, not understanding a food line,
00:38:32.000 because of the ineptitude of an administration that was unwilling to speak the truth to the American people.
00:38:41.000 So let's talk about caring about the American people.
00:38:44.000 The American people have had to sacrifice far too much because of the incompetence of this administration.
00:38:49.000 It is asking too much of the people.
00:38:50.000 They've had to sacrifice far too much in blue states where their economy is not recovering and they have higher deaths than states like Texas and Florida that have not had lockdown.
00:38:57.000 So let's be really clear.
00:38:58.000 It's not even close.
00:38:59.000 It's not even close.
00:39:00.000 Incompetence of the governors.
00:39:02.000 Kamala Harris, Senator Harris, I mean, I'm sorry.
00:39:04.000 It's fine, I'm Kamala.
00:39:05.000 No, no, you're Senator Harris to me.
00:39:06.000 She's so likeable!
00:39:09.000 Anthony Fauci and other experts say that most of the people who can be vaccinated need to be vaccinated.
00:39:15.000 But half of Americans now say they wouldn't take a vaccine if it was released now.
00:39:20.000 That's because you're an anti-vaxxer.
00:39:21.000 If the Trump administration approves a vaccine before or after the election, should Americans take it and would you take it?
00:39:28.000 If the public health professionals, if Dr. Fauci, if the doctors tell us that we should take it, I'll be the first in line to take it.
00:39:37.000 Absolutely.
00:39:37.000 But if Donald Trump tells us that we should take it, I'm not taking it.
00:39:46.000 In recent days, the president's diagnosis of COVID-19 has underscored the importance of the job that you hold and that you receive.
00:39:52.000 That's our second topic tonight.
00:39:53.000 It's the role of the vice president.
00:39:58.000 Let's just say there's a vaccine that is approved and even distributed before the election.
00:40:03.000 Would you get it?
00:40:04.000 Well, I think that's going to be an issue for all of us.
00:40:09.000 I will say that I would not trust Donald Trump.
00:40:14.000 And it would have to be a credible source of information that talks about the efficacy and the reliability of whatever he's talking about.
00:40:24.000 I will not take his word for it.
00:40:26.000 He wants us to inject bleach.
00:40:28.000 No, I will not take his word for it.
00:40:30.000 Well, Susan, thank you.
00:40:30.000 All right, let's go back here.
00:40:32.000 Cut away from Chinlandia.
00:40:34.000 You think you should. You have two minutes without interruption.
00:40:37.000 Well, Susan, thank you. Although I would like to go back.
00:40:40.000 I think we need to move on.
00:40:43.000 Well thank you, but I would like to go back.
00:40:45.000 Because the reality is, we're going to have a vaccine in record time, in unheard of time, in less than a year.
00:40:54.000 We have five companies in phase three clinical trials, and we're right now producing tens of millions of doses.
00:41:04.000 The fact that you continue to undermine public confidence in a vaccine, if the vaccine emerges during the Trump administration, I think is is unconscionable.
00:41:14.000 And Senator, I just ask you.
00:41:16.000 Stop playing politics with people's lives.
00:41:19.000 The reality is that we will have a vaccine before the end of this year.
00:41:25.000 And it will have the capacity to save countless American lives.
00:41:29.000 And your continuous undermining of confidence in a vaccine, it's just unacceptable.
00:41:37.000 And let me also say, you know, the reality is when you talk about failure in this administration, We actually do know what failure looks like in a pandemic.
00:41:47.000 It was 2009.
00:41:47.000 The swine flu arrived in the United States.
00:41:52.000 Thankfully it ended up not being as lethal as the coronavirus.
00:41:58.000 But before the end of the year, When Joe Biden was vice president of the United States, not 7.5 million people contracted the swine flu.
00:42:08.000 60 million Americans contracted the swine flu.
00:42:12.000 If the swine flu had been as lethal as the coronavirus in 2009, when Joe Biden was vice president, we would have lost 2 million Americans.
00:42:19.000 His own chief of staff, Ron Klain, would say last year, That it was pure luck.
00:42:26.000 You have the worst gifts.
00:42:26.000 That they did, quote, everything possible, Ross.
00:42:29.000 Chinese New Year.
00:42:30.000 Toss that iPhone, that asshole.
00:42:31.000 And we learned from that.
00:42:33.000 They left the strategic national stockpile empty.
00:42:36.000 Ooh.
00:42:36.000 They left it empty and hollow planned, but we still learned from it.
00:42:40.000 Look at her laughing.
00:42:42.000 She doesn't know what to do.
00:42:43.000 You've been shot.
00:42:43.000 Come on, don't laugh.
00:42:44.000 You've been getting shot down with leg kicks, sweetheart.
00:42:46.000 She's going to be limping into the fifth round.
00:42:50.000 My calf's so swollen!
00:42:52.000 No more than usual.
00:42:53.000 That's not my tangle, that's the leg kicks!
00:42:56.000 reached an agreement with Vice President Biden about safeguards or procedures
00:43:01.000 when it comes to the issue of presidential disability and if not and
00:43:05.000 if you win the election Susan he's still learning anything gosh you should so
00:43:09.000 two minutes safeguard so let me tell you first of all the day I got the call from
00:43:15.000 From Joe Biden.
00:43:15.000 It was actually a Zoom call.
00:43:16.000 The racist?
00:43:16.000 You said it!
00:43:17.000 You said it!
00:43:17.000 And racist!
00:43:38.000 And And, um, the thought that I'd be sitting here right now eats up the time.
00:43:46.000 She's eating up the time right now so that there's no accountability in her answers.
00:43:51.000 And I hate to say, but ain't that just like some women?
00:43:54.000 About the value and the dignity of public service, and about the importance of fighting for the dignity of all people.
00:44:01.000 And I think Joe asked me to serve with him because, you know, I have a career that included being the last nearest woman to the training and exam system, where I created models of innovation for law enforcement in terms of reform of the criminal justice system.
00:44:16.000 I was elected.
00:44:17.000 I know Joe Biden has been accused of being a bullshitter, but he has promised me, he's given me his word, he will never die.
00:44:24.000 This is not the answer!
00:44:25.000 I took on everything from transnational criminal organizations to the big banks that were taking
00:44:35.000 advantage of homeowners.
00:44:36.000 This is not the answer!
00:44:37.000 Yeah, what is this?
00:44:38.000 By the way, we have your costume contest.
00:44:40.000 Such a non-answer, yeah.
00:44:40.000 We'll be taking your winners and we'll be going exclusively to the Blazers.
00:44:43.000 This is not an answer.
00:44:45.000 This is remarkable.
00:44:46.000 Kamala Harris is doing everything.
00:44:47.000 You know, I thought that they were going to kind of be dancing out there, feeling each
00:44:50.000 other out a little bit, you know, bobbing and weaving.
00:44:52.000 But instead, she's not bobbing and weaving Pence's attack.
00:44:54.000 She's bobbing and weaving the questions from the moderator.
00:44:56.000 And this moderator is clearly trying to stack the deck against Pence.
00:45:01.000 Who would have thought that Mike Pence would come to the rescue for the Trump campaign?
00:45:10.000 Nobody.
00:45:10.000 She's jumped out of the ring and run out of the building.
00:45:13.000 She's across the street at the lunch store.
00:45:16.000 He might have walked in here like a centaur and just trampled her.
00:45:20.000 Dear Susan Collins, by the way, she said thank you very much for the answer.
00:45:24.000 She didn't say that's not the answer to any question I ask.
00:45:27.000 Let me hear the next question.
00:45:27.000 In recent days, President Trump's doctors have given misleading answers or refused to answer basic questions about his health.
00:45:33.000 And my question to each of you in turn is, is this information voters deserve to know?
00:45:41.000 Vice President Pence, would you like to go first?
00:45:44.000 Well, Susan, thank you.
00:45:46.000 And let me say on behalf of the President, And the First Lady, how moved we've all been by the outpouring of prayers and concern for the President.
00:46:00.000 And I do believe it's emblematic of the prayers and the concern that have ushered forth for every American impacted by the coronavirus.
00:46:08.000 But the care the President received at Walter Reed Hospital, White House doctors, was exceptional.
00:46:15.000 And the transparency that they practiced all along the way will continue.
00:46:19.000 The American people have a right to know about the health and well-being of their president, and we'll continue to do that.
00:46:26.000 But I'm just extremely grateful, and was more than a little moved by the broad and bipartisan support.
00:46:35.000 Senator, I want to thank you and Joe Biden for your expressions of genuine concern.
00:46:39.000 And I also want to congratulate you, as I did on that phone call, on the historic nature of your nomination.
00:46:49.000 I never expected to be on this stage four years ago, so I know the feeling.
00:46:53.000 But the reality is...
00:46:56.000 We've got an election before the American people in the midst of this challenging year
00:47:01.000 and the stakes have never been higher. I think the choice has never been clear.
00:47:04.000 I want to give Senator Harris a chance to respond to the same question I asked, which is do voters
00:47:09.000 have a right to know more details about President Trump?
00:47:11.000 This is what's important, to be a layup and she didn't answer. Whereas his was,
00:47:14.000 doctors were misleading about COVID. Do you hate Trump? So I thought he said,
00:47:19.000 Donald Trump's doctors refused to disclose status of his health.
00:47:22.000 And it was a doctor saying he's doing well, he hasn't had a fever, and someone said, can we see his lung scans?
00:47:26.000 He said, listen, the patient-doctor confidentiality privilege would extend to the president, so I can't give you his lung scans.
00:47:31.000 That's it!
00:47:32.000 Refused!
00:47:33.000 He refused to answer questions!
00:47:34.000 Was he on oxygen?
00:47:34.000 He's not on oxygen right now.
00:47:36.000 Liars!
00:47:37.000 It's like, I need to know the status of the president's health.
00:47:41.000 I demand to be the one to perform the prostate exam.
00:47:45.000 I can't let you do that.
00:47:47.000 Nazi!
00:47:48.000 Nazi!
00:47:48.000 One of us!
00:47:49.000 Gooblegobble!
00:47:50.000 One of us!
00:47:51.000 And is in debt for $400 million.
00:47:54.000 And just so everyone is clear, when we say in debt, it means you owe money to somebody.
00:48:00.000 And it'd be really good to know that the President of the United States, the Connecticut people, owes money because the American people have a right to know.
00:48:10.000 What is influencing the President's decisions?
00:48:13.000 And is he making those decisions on the best interest of the American people, of you?
00:48:18.000 Or self-interest.
00:48:19.000 So, Susan, I'm glad you asked about transparency.
00:48:22.000 Because it has to be across the board.
00:48:24.000 Joe has been incredibly transparent over many, many years.
00:48:28.000 And then she'd like jump over to another novel like the page master and go,
00:48:31.000 please sir, can I have some more? Like, that's not even...
00:48:33.000 I don't know, it's not like that.
00:48:35.000 But Donald Trump on the other hand has been about covering up everything.
00:48:40.000 Thank you, Senator Hirst.
00:48:41.000 I want to give you a chance to respond, Vice President.
00:48:43.000 Well, look, I respect the fact that Joe Biden spent 47 years in public life.
00:48:47.000 I respect your public service as well.
00:48:50.000 I don't respect that at all.
00:48:51.000 The American people have a president who is a businessman.
00:48:54.000 He's a job creator.
00:48:57.000 who's paid tens of millions of dollars in taxes, payroll taxes, property taxes.
00:49:03.000 He's created tens of thousands of American jobs.
00:49:06.000 The president said those public reports are not accurate.
00:49:10.000 And the president's also released literally stacks of financial disclosures the American people can
00:49:16.000 review just as the law allows.
00:49:19.000 But the distinction here is that Joe Biden, 47 years in public service, compared to President Donald Trump, who brought all of that experience four years ago, and turned this economy around by cutting taxes, rolling back regulations.
00:49:33.000 They don't want to give him the same amount of time that they're giving him.
00:49:35.000 Now he needs to be shorter, he needs to be more succinct.
00:49:38.000 But they are not giving him the same amount of time as they're giving her.
00:49:41.000 That's a good segue into our third topic, which is about the economy.
00:49:45.000 This has been another aspect of life for Americans.
00:49:49.000 We have a jobs crisis brewing.
00:49:50.000 On Friday, the unemployment rate declined to 7.9% in September.
00:49:52.000 7.9%?
00:49:52.000 of the lowest drug prices. Bring it up, bring it up Susan, bring it up Susan! Don't let me down Susan!
00:49:57.000 ...7.9% in September, but the job growth had stalled and that was before the latest round of layoffs and furloughs
00:50:04.000 in the airline industry at Disney and elsewhere.
00:50:06.000 Hundreds of thousands of discouraged workers have stopped looking for work. Nearly 11 million jobs that existed at
00:50:13.000 the beginning of the year haven't been replaced.
00:50:16.000 Those hardest hit include Latinos, blacks, and women.
00:50:20.000 Senator Harris, the Biden-Harris campaign has proposed new programs to boost the economy and you would pay for that.
00:50:26.000 Lock him up!
00:50:26.000 That's the Kamala Harris program for blacks.
00:50:29.000 Lock him up and put him on the side of the freeway with pokey sticks!
00:50:33.000 Some economists warn that could curb entrepreneurial ventures that fuel growth and create jobs.
00:50:40.000 Would raising taxes put the recovery at risk?
00:50:43.000 And you have two minutes to answer.
00:50:45.000 I'm a child.
00:50:46.000 You are.
00:50:47.000 It's okay.
00:50:48.000 We love you.
00:50:48.000 On the issue of the economy, I think there couldn't be a more fundamental difference between Donald Trump and Joe Biden.
00:50:55.000 Joe Biden believes you measure the health and the strength of America's economy based on the health and the strength of the American worker and the American family.
00:51:05.000 On the other hand, you have Donald Trump who measures the strength of the economy based on how rich people are doing.
00:51:13.000 which is why he passed a tax bill benefiting the top 1% and the biggest corporations in America,
00:51:20.000 leading to a $2 trillion deficit that the people of America have to pay for.
00:51:25.000 On day one, Joe Biden will repeal that tax bill.
00:51:30.000 She means on day 48 years and one.
00:51:31.000 Joe Biden will do that.
00:51:32.000 He'll invest in infrastructure.
00:51:33.000 It's about upgrading our roads and bridges, but also investing in clean energy and renewable energy.
00:51:40.000 He's gonna run it now.
00:51:41.000 They all count.
00:51:42.000 I don't think it ever happens.
00:51:43.000 It's a hard thing to do.
00:51:44.000 But Joe Biden will do that.
00:51:45.000 He'll invest in infrastructure.
00:51:46.000 It's about upgrading our roads and bridges, but also investing in clean energy and renewable
00:51:50.000 energy.
00:51:51.000 Again?
00:51:53.000 Wait a second.
00:51:53.000 Believe in science?
00:51:53.000 What is your view on nuclear, Harris?
00:51:55.000 The most renewable resource that we possibly have.
00:51:57.000 You can compare Germany and France.
00:51:58.000 and invested in research and development so that we were in a...
00:52:03.000 Wait a second, believe in science? What is your view on nuclear, Harris?
00:52:08.000 The most renewable resource that we possibly have. You can compare Germany and France.
00:52:12.000 Germany has power surpluses and brownouts when they tried to go to entirely renewable energy and ignore nuclear.
00:52:19.000 Whereas France actually has fewer carbon emissions than the countries that signed on to this protocol to lower their
00:52:24.000 carbon emissions.
00:52:25.000 Because guess what?
00:52:26.000 It takes a lot of energy to mine those materials, to put those up, and then they're incredibly energy inefficient, so you have to rely on whatever else you have, which is usually coal and natural gas, as opposed to nuclear energy.
00:52:37.000 You do not agree with the science.
00:52:38.000 Do you know how many accidents have taken place with nuclear?
00:52:41.000 Three!
00:52:42.000 Ever!
00:52:43.000 Three major accidents ever.
00:52:44.000 Three Mile Island, Fukushima, and Chernobyl.
00:52:48.000 And most of the deaths had to do with the evacuation procedures and not actually from nuclear radiation poisoning.
00:52:54.000 Not saying it's entirely safe.
00:52:55.000 But what happened to the science?
00:52:57.000 Senator BJ, let's go.
00:52:59.000 Two and a half minutes.
00:53:00.000 Head wag.
00:53:01.000 It was really stupid.
00:53:02.000 When President Trump and I took office, America went through the slowest economic recovery
00:53:05.000 since the Great Depression.
00:53:06.000 It was when Joe Biden was vice president, they tried to tax and spend and regulate and
00:53:11.000 bail our way back to a growing economy.
00:53:13.000 Failed.
00:53:14.000 President Trump cut taxes across the board.
00:53:17.000 Despite what Senator Harris says, the average American family of four had $2,000 in savings and taxes.
00:53:24.000 And true.
00:53:25.000 With the rise in wages that occurred, most predominantly for blue collar, hardworking Americans.
00:53:31.000 The average household income for a family of four increased by $4,000 following President Trump's tax cuts.
00:53:38.000 But America, you just heard Senator Harris tell you, on day one, Joe Biden's going to raise your taxes.
00:53:44.000 Yep.
00:53:44.000 It's really remarkable.
00:53:45.000 I mean, right after a time where we're going through a pandemic that lost 22 million jobs at the height.
00:53:53.000 She doesn't know what to do, that's why.
00:53:55.000 We've already added back 11.6 million jobs.
00:53:57.000 Because we had a president who cut taxes, rolled back regulation, unleashed American energy, fought for free and fair trade, and secured four trillion dollars for the Congress of the United States.
00:54:01.000 This is a very clear-cut example of a man running on a record.
00:54:02.000 He keeps pointing to the record.
00:54:17.000 He keeps Joe Biden has 48 years.
00:54:21.000 What do you have to show for any kind of job creation in the Senate?
00:54:25.000 He is pointing directly to the record that is verifiable.
00:54:29.000 Mike Pence, after this debate, the best thing that could happen from Mike Pence is you fact check.
00:54:33.000 The worst thing that could happen with Kamala Harris is you hit rewind and try to find anything worth fact checking.
00:54:40.000 economic surrender to China.
00:54:42.000 That when we took office, half of our international trade deficit was with China alone.
00:54:47.000 And Joe Biden wants to repeal all of the tariffs that President Trump put into effect to fight
00:54:52.000 for American jobs and American workers.
00:54:54.000 Joe Biden says democracy is on the ballot.
00:54:57.000 Make no mistake about it, Susan.
00:54:59.000 The American economy, the American comeback is on the ballot.
00:55:03.000 With four more years of growth and opportunity, four more years of President Donald Trump, 2021 is going to be the biggest economic year in the history of this country.
00:55:15.000 Well, I mean, I thought we saw enough of it in last week's debate, but I think this is supposed to be a debate based on fact and truth.
00:55:20.000 and the truth in the facts is, Bill Biden has been very clear
00:55:23.000 Is it the opposite day?
00:55:24.000 He will not raise taxes on anybody who makes less than $400,000 a year
00:55:27.000 Which by the way, just so conveniently happens to be the presidential salary
00:55:30.000 Biden's like, oh, I only raise taxes above... what do I make?
00:55:33.000 $400,000, sir $400,000!
00:55:35.000 That's true.
00:55:35.000 Not a dime of it.
00:55:36.000 I don't know if I said twice in the debate last week that he's going to repeal the Trump tax cuts.
00:55:40.000 Right, which would raise taxes on people under $400,000.
00:55:42.000 Of course, would raise taxes on all Americans.
00:55:45.000 $200,000 in a tax break every single year.
00:55:47.000 That is absolutely not true.
00:55:48.000 That is 100% true.
00:55:49.000 The average American, I believe, is $1,900 on average.
00:55:50.000 Is he only going to repeal part of the Trump tax cuts?
00:55:54.000 If you don't mind letting me finish.
00:55:56.000 We're going to have a conversation, okay?
00:55:58.000 Please.
00:55:59.000 Oh, my God!
00:56:01.000 Ooh!
00:56:03.000 That is not a good look.
00:56:04.000 That is not a good look.
00:56:06.000 The head waggy look.
00:56:07.000 Okay.
00:56:08.000 Okay.
00:56:08.000 Why don't you answer the question?
00:56:10.000 Okay?
00:56:11.000 I would not be presidential.
00:56:12.000 Joe Biden is the one who, during the Great Recession, was responsible... For making it worse.
00:56:19.000 ...for the Recovery Act that brought America back, and now the Trump-Pence administration wants to take credit When they rode the coattails of Joe Biden's success for the economy that they had at the beginning of 2019.
00:56:33.000 You can't opt for those opposite policies.
00:56:35.000 We're trying to keep this straight while we're fact-checking.
00:56:37.000 Kamala Harris just claimed that the economy that you are seeing, obviously before COVID in 2020-2019,
00:56:43.000 was a rip-roaring success because of Joe Biden.
00:56:47.000 When the guy who was actually running the game while Joe Biden was president,
00:56:51.000 unemployment was still pretty much, oh, I think the average is about twice what it was with Donald Trump.
00:56:57.000 3.5%.
00:56:57.000 I don't know if we've ever seen 3.5% unemployment in our lifetime, let alone with the labor force participation rate.
00:57:04.000 She just tried to say the economy was doing well under Trump because of Joe Biden.
00:57:08.000 By the way, just tried to blame the economy with COVID due to Democratic governor policies on Donald Trump.
00:57:13.000 So which is it, sweetheart?
00:57:15.000 Be clear.
00:57:16.000 North!
00:57:16.000 South!
00:57:16.000 North!
00:57:17.000 South!
00:57:17.000 North!
00:57:17.000 South!
00:57:17.000 You'll lose protections if you have pre-existing conditions.
00:57:20.000 This is very important, Susan.
00:57:23.000 We need to get Vice President.
00:57:25.000 He interrupted me, and I'd like to just... Mommy!
00:57:32.000 Heart disease, diabetes, breast cancer, they're coming for you.
00:57:37.000 President Trump and I have a plan.
00:57:39.000 It's not Corona.
00:57:41.000 Come and voice your case right now and do a breast exam.
00:57:44.000 Like, hold on a second, I thought Mike Pence was going to murder you in your bed.
00:57:48.000 There's a bump.
00:57:49.000 Oh no, wait, what is this called?
00:57:51.000 Manliness, sweetheart.
00:57:52.000 That must be my pheromones or we're throwing you into a tizzy.
00:57:55.000 President Trump and I have a plan to improve health care.
00:57:58.000 I understand your barren womb has you temperamental, but...
00:58:01.000 American.
00:58:03.000 I understand it's only that.
00:58:04.000 Senator Harris, you're entitled to your own opinion, but you're not entitled to your own facts.
00:58:09.000 You yourself said on multiple occasions when you were running for president that you would ban fracking.
00:58:16.000 Joe Biden looked at a supporter in the eye and pointed and said, I guarantee, I guarantee that we will abolish fossil fuels.
00:58:25.000 They have a $2 trillion version of the Green New Deal, Susan, that your newspaper USA Today said really wasn't that very different from the original Green New Deal.
00:58:33.000 Oh, by the way, more taxes, more regulations, banning fracking, abolishing fossil fuel, crushing American energy, and economic serenity to China.
00:58:44.000 is a prescription for economic decline.
00:58:45.000 Having Americans in charge of their own fossil fuels is more eco-friendly than Saudi Arabia.
00:58:50.000 Yeah.
00:58:51.000 Oh, God.
00:58:52.000 Well, we don't beat our women.
00:58:53.000 Okay.
00:58:54.000 Hey, it's diverse.
00:58:55.000 I just don't know if I can hit...
00:58:56.000 Is that a guy or a...
00:58:57.000 Hey, don't hate.
00:58:58.000 I don't know, but it's getting out.
00:58:59.000 You don't ask.
00:59:00.000 You don't ask.
00:59:01.000 Which is climate change.
00:59:02.000 Is it they?
00:59:03.000 And, Vice President Pence, I'd like to pose the first question to you.
00:59:07.000 Bye!
00:59:08.000 This year we've seen record-setting hurricanes in the South.
00:59:11.000 Another one, Hurricane Delta, is now threatening the Gulf.
00:59:14.000 And we have seen record-setting wildfires in the West.
00:59:17.000 Do you believe, as the scientific community has concluded, that man-made climate change has made wildfires bigger, hotter, and more deadly?
00:59:28.000 They haven't included that.
00:59:28.000 By the way, while you're cherry picking facts, how about you bring up the fact that we have record high Great Lakes and record crop yield in the Midwest.
00:59:35.000 And by the way, the most temperate climates that we have seen in places like the Midwest and Texas.
00:59:40.000 Positively balmy and cool.
00:59:42.000 Look, I'm running both a dehumidifier and a humidifier at the same time to give it a perfect... like a walking humidor!
00:59:49.000 And just a little while ago, the President signed the Outdoors Act.
00:59:53.000 It's the largest investment in our public lands and public parks.
00:59:57.000 Come on, I was like, that's not in my document.
00:59:59.000 I'll laugh.
00:59:59.000 It's not a laugh, it's a smirk.
01:00:00.000 a commitment to conservation of the environment.
01:00:02.000 A laugh.
01:00:03.000 Now with regard to climate change.
01:00:04.000 It's not a laugh, it's a smirk.
01:00:05.000 The climate is changing.
01:00:06.000 Oh by the way, drink, because that was obviously leading to questions.
01:00:07.000 The issue is, what's the cause and what do we do about it?
01:00:12.000 President Trump has made it clear that we're going to continue to listen to the science.
01:00:15.000 Now Joe Biden and Kamala Harris would put us back in the Paris Climate Accord.
01:00:20.000 They'd impose the Green New Deal, which would crush American energy.
01:00:24.000 No, you won't do it or you will do it, Kamala?
01:00:27.000 Yes, if we hold our feet to the fire in the Green New Deal, because that's a five-page bill that takes over everything.
01:00:33.000 President Trump and I believe that the progress that we have made in a clean environment has been happening precisely because we have a strong free market economy.
01:00:44.000 You know what's remarkable is the United States has reduced CO2 more than the countries that are still in the Paris Climate Accord.
01:00:53.000 But we've done it through innovation.
01:00:54.000 Interesting.
01:00:55.000 And we've done it through natural gas.
01:00:59.000 which senator the american people can go look at the record i i know joe biden says otherwise now
01:01:05.000 as you do but the both of you repeatedly committed to abolishing fossil fuel and
01:01:10.000 a fracking and so by creating the kind of american innovation of course it's actually
01:01:17.000 Of course it's on video!
01:01:19.000 They said they were going to ban fracking.
01:01:21.000 The reason they have to pivot from that is not just because it's created jobs, but because people now understand that fracking is actually better for the environment than having to bring oil over on tankers across volatile waters.
01:01:30.000 People are understanding that now more and more.
01:01:32.000 At first it was, oh, chemicals in the ground, and I saw that guy who has a Young Turks show who lit a faucet on fire.
01:01:37.000 Then people said, oh, there's a video of that happening in the 50s.
01:01:39.000 They were like, oh, skunked again.
01:01:42.000 Thank you.
01:01:43.000 But many of the climate alarmists use hurricanes and wildfires to try and sell their bill of goods of a Green New Deal.
01:01:50.000 And President Trump and I are going to always put American jobs and American workers first.
01:01:56.000 It's worse than statistical random.
01:01:58.000 Worse than Vince Young on the QBIQ test.
01:02:00.000 But Vice President Biden said in last week's debate that he does not support the Green New Deal.
01:02:06.000 But if you look at the Biden-Harris campaign website, it describes the Green New Deal as a crucial framework.
01:02:13.000 What exactly would be the stance of a Biden-Harris administration toward the Green New Deal?
01:02:18.000 Everyone shut up.
01:02:19.000 I want to hear her answer this directly.
01:02:21.000 So first of all, I will repeat, and the American people know, That Joe Biden will not ban fracking.
01:02:29.000 That is a fact.
01:02:30.000 He said he would.
01:02:31.000 That is a fact.
01:02:31.000 Answer the question on Green New Deal, sweetheart.
01:02:33.000 I will repeat that Joe Biden has been very clear that he thinks about growing jobs, which is why he will not increase taxes for anyone who makes less than $400,000 a year.
01:02:46.000 Joe Biden's economic plan, Moody's, which is a reputable Wall Street firm, has said we'll create 7 million more jobs than Donald Trump's.
01:02:57.000 And part of those jobs that will be created by Joe Biden are going to be about clean energy and renewable energy.
01:03:04.000 Because you see, Joe understands that the west coast of our country is burning, including my home state of California.
01:03:12.000 Joe sees what is happening in the Gulf States, which is being battered by storms.
01:03:15.000 answer. Will you pack your cords? Let me tell you, Joe Biden has great hair. Green New Deal.
01:03:22.000 Let me tell you, Joe Biden will not raise taxes on anyone making more than the president.
01:03:28.000 I'll tell you something, Susan.
01:03:29.000 I served, when I first got to the Senate, on the committee that's responsible for the environment.
01:03:34.000 Do you know this administration took the word science off the website?
01:03:40.000 And then took the phrase climate change off the website.
01:03:44.000 Green New Deal will give you one more chance, West Indian Trading Company.
01:03:48.000 But they changed the website.
01:03:50.000 How about you change your website?
01:03:53.000 Where it says the Green New Deal is what you support.
01:03:57.000 Would someone bring up the website of the crazy old bat, crazy pandering biatch?
01:04:02.000 Would someone bring that up?
01:04:03.000 They're changing it right now.
01:04:04.000 Someone's getting fired.
01:04:06.000 Some poor tech guy's like, oh god I gotta rewrite the code.
01:04:09.000 On what is an existential threat to us as human beings.
01:04:13.000 Joe is about saying we're going to invest that in renewable energy.
01:04:16.000 It's going to be about the creation of millions of jobs.
01:04:18.000 Three seconds!
01:04:18.000 Green New Deal!
01:04:19.000 Yes!
01:04:19.000 No!
01:04:19.000 Go!
01:04:21.000 Zero emissions by 2050.
01:04:23.000 Carbon neutral by 2035.
01:04:24.000 Joe Biden or Donald Trump.
01:04:26.000 Joe Biden.
01:04:26.000 This has been a lot of talk.
01:04:28.000 Green New Deal!
01:04:28.000 Yes!
01:04:28.000 No!
01:04:28.000 Yes!
01:04:28.000 We will also re-enter the climate agreement with pride.
01:04:34.000 Senator Harris just said that climate change is an existential threat.
01:04:38.000 Bread.
01:04:39.000 Vice President Pence, do you believe that climate change poses an existential threat?
01:04:45.000 As I said, Susan, the climate is changing.
01:04:48.000 We'll follow the science.
01:04:50.000 But once again, Senator Harris, is denying the fact that they're going to raise taxes on
01:04:58.000 every American.
01:04:59.000 Joe Biden said twice that they were going to raise taxes on every American.
01:05:01.000 And on day one, right.
01:05:03.000 Right.
01:05:04.000 And they're going to do it.
01:05:25.000 but requires a specific answer.
01:05:27.000 Climate change, she said, is an existential threat.
01:05:29.000 Do you believe that that's the case?
01:05:31.000 And he'll say, well, listen, we'll follow the science, which is an entirely appropriate answer.
01:05:34.000 That's not an appropriate answer for your website says Green New Deal, right?
01:05:37.000 Do you believe that's an existential threat?
01:05:38.000 Well, I think that'll be determined by the science, because science, by the way, is not the science.
01:05:42.000 Science is something that develops, that changes.
01:05:46.000 A lockdown was appropriate at the beginning of this pandemic, knowing science now and the CDC revising their own survival rates to about
01:05:54.000 100% for people under the age of 50. That's what science is. Science
01:05:57.000 develops, science progresses.
01:05:59.000 Science is a catalyst for things moving forward. But she says, what do you think
01:06:04.000 is an existential threat? And then she'll call him on it for not answering
01:06:07.000 specifically. Specific question, she doesn't answer at all.
01:06:10.000 A broad question, he answers with an appropriate broad answer, and then he
01:06:13.000 gets called to the mat.
01:06:13.000 I don't like... Actually, I do. I like what he's doing.
01:06:19.000 Yeah, he's doing good.
01:06:21.000 On the issue of jobs, let's talk about that.
01:06:25.000 The Vice President earlier referred to what he thinks is an accomplishment, the President's trade war with China.
01:06:36.000 You lost that trade war.
01:06:37.000 No.
01:06:37.000 You lost it.
01:06:38.000 No, we didn't.
01:06:39.000 What ended up happening?
01:06:41.000 As opposed to Joe Biden who came back on the horse of NAFTA and TPP victoriously while his saggy man tits glistened in the sun.
01:06:50.000 We are in a manufacturing recession because of it.
01:06:56.000 No.
01:06:57.000 And when we look at where this administration has been, there are estimates that by the
01:07:02.000 end of the term of this administration, they will have losses.
01:07:07.000 That's one of those things where she doesn't want you to fact check her.
01:07:10.000 She doesn't.
01:07:11.000 Let's just use your common sense here.
01:07:12.000 Let's just use your rational, right?
01:07:15.000 Your little rationalization portion of your noggin, okay?
01:07:18.000 Do you think that NAFTA or the Trans-Pacific Partnership actually helped create American jobs?
01:07:26.000 Just, just, do you really, because they went all in on that.
01:07:28.000 Alright, let's go.
01:07:29.000 Oh man, great, let's go.
01:07:31.000 They're not going to pay rent by the end of the month.
01:07:33.000 Almost half of American renters are worried about whether they're going to be able to
01:07:37.000 pay rent by the end of the month.
01:07:39.000 This is where the economy is in America right now.
01:07:43.000 Basically stealing it from the owners of the property has nothing to do with creating jobs.
01:07:47.000 This is the fundamental difference.
01:07:48.000 They don't know how to create jobs.
01:07:50.000 When they say, hey, how are you going to create jobs?
01:07:52.000 How do you view the economy?
01:07:53.000 Well, he wanted more Americans to have jobs, but we need to take from the property owners and give it to the people who are renting.
01:08:02.000 I rest my case.
01:08:03.000 Joe Biden has been a cheerleader for communist China through over the last several decades.
01:08:07.000 Yeah, baby.
01:08:08.000 And that's my half Chinese lawyer.
01:08:10.000 China loves Biden.
01:08:13.000 Joe Biden was vice president.
01:08:14.000 We lost 200,000 manufacturing jobs.
01:08:18.000 And President Obama said they were never coming back.
01:08:20.000 He said we needed a magic wand to bring them back.
01:08:23.000 In our first three years after we cut taxes, rolled back regulations, unleashed American
01:08:27.000 energy.
01:08:28.000 Hey, just real quick, those 7 million jobs she referenced earlier.
01:08:31.000 Even the Washington Post admitted all of that would be funded through having a Democratic
01:08:37.000 controlled Senate and White House that would pass deficit spending.
01:08:41.000 So essentially, yes, we will tax more, take that money, create jobs, and go, look, we created jobs!
01:08:49.000 That's a good Harry Reader.
01:08:50.000 Joe Biden is responsible for saving America's auto industry and you voted against it.
01:08:56.000 So let's set the record straight.
01:08:58.000 No he's not.
01:08:59.000 He's not responsible.
01:09:00.000 The American taxpayers are responsible for bail and the Chevy Volt sucks.
01:09:05.000 Still sucks.
01:09:06.000 Sucked then, sucks now.
01:09:08.000 By the way, you want to know how crony the Democratic Party is?
01:09:12.000 Ford did not want to take the bailout and they were forced to.
01:09:15.000 They said, no, no, you're going to do this because we can't make this work with the UAW, right,
01:09:19.000 and these agreements if you don't go in, it would be a shame if I broke some shit.
01:09:24.000 I shouldn't have hit the thing that was chained down.
01:09:26.000 It would be a shame if I broke shit, Ford. Huh?
01:09:28.000 Take the bailout.
01:09:30.000 Those are some nice cars you got there.
01:09:32.000 It'd be a shame if they caught on fire.
01:09:34.000 It'd be a shame if you were racists.
01:09:37.000 It'd be a shame if someone drove an old Pinto in here and left the keys in the ignition.
01:09:42.000 Everybody knows that NAFTA cost literally thousands of American factories to close.
01:09:48.000 They saw automotive jobs go south of the border.
01:09:50.000 President Trump fought the Democratic voters in Michigan, in the Rust Belt, who have really parted ways.
01:09:58.000 I'll go back to that in a second because it's a good strategy.
01:10:01.000 Senator Kamala Harris was one of only 10 members of the Senate to vote against the USMCA.
01:10:07.000 It was a huge win for American autoworkers.
01:10:09.000 It was a huge win for American farmers, especially dairy in the upper Midwest.
01:10:15.000 But Senator, you recently didn't go far enough on climate change that you put your radical environmental agenda ahead of American autoworkers and ahead of American jobs.
01:10:27.000 I think the American people deserve to know this.
01:10:30.000 Newsweek Magazine said that Kamala Harris was the most liberal member of the United States Senate in 2019.
01:10:37.000 More liberal than Bernie Sanders.
01:10:39.000 He's trying to say, hey look, if you actually look at our policies, if you look at the equitable trade agreements, we created more American jobs, we encouraged businesses to return this manufacturing to the United States, right?
01:10:47.000 He's talking about giving a fishing pole, and lures, and bait, and bobbers, and she's just like, take back the fucking fish!
01:10:55.000 The President Trump is not happy about it.
01:10:56.000 Take the fish!
01:10:57.000 He's like, uh, I got a fishing pole.
01:10:58.000 She's like, you take the fish!
01:10:59.000 You don't want- I'm not gonna teach- what, am I gonna teach you?
01:11:02.000 What, am I retired?
01:11:04.000 There are mayors out- there are mayors out there who haven't had their knob polished in a month and a half!
01:11:09.000 You take the fish!
01:11:10.000 I got a job to do!
01:11:12.000 Why do we let that happen?
01:11:13.000 There's so little.
01:11:14.000 We wanted something.
01:11:14.000 administration standing up to China that had been taking advantage of America for
01:11:18.000 decades in the wake of Joe Biden's cheerleading for China.
01:11:22.000 President Trump made that decision before the end of January to suspend all trade with China.
01:11:27.000 And again, the American people deserve to know that.
01:11:30.000 They just keep throwing bodies over, like, what was the... You don't even have to fight them, you just hold their head away.
01:11:35.000 Thank you, Vice President Pence.
01:11:36.000 Vice President Pence, your time is up.
01:11:37.000 Thank you, Vice President Pence.
01:11:39.000 She gave her more time!
01:11:40.000 We're going to continue to stand strong.
01:11:42.000 Thank you, Vice President Pence.
01:11:43.000 We want to improve the relationship, but we're going to level the playing field.
01:11:46.000 We're going to hold China accountable for what they did to America with the coronavirus.
01:11:50.000 Thank you.
01:11:51.000 Senator Harris, let me ask you the same question that I asked the Vice President.
01:11:55.000 How would you describe our fundamental relationship?
01:11:58.000 For those who are watching online, you can't see Steven.
01:12:01.000 He's cleaning up the mess he made when he was very, very angry about stupid answers.
01:12:06.000 Susan, the Trump administration's perspective and approach to China has resulted in the loss of American lives, American jobs, and America's standing.
01:12:21.000 Excuse me, how?
01:12:23.000 There's a weird obsession that President Trump has had with getting rid of whatever accomplishment was achieved by President Obama and Vice President Biden.
01:12:35.000 For example, they created within the White House an office that basically was responsible for monitoring pandemics.
01:12:44.000 They got rid of it.
01:12:46.000 They didn't get rid of it.
01:12:48.000 They merged departments so those more efficient communications could actually take place more specifically rather than broadly.
01:12:53.000 President Obama and Vice President Biden dispatched to China to monitor what is now predictable and what might happen.
01:13:01.000 They pulled them out.
01:13:02.000 I'm so pissed right now.
01:13:04.000 I'm glad this drinking game isn't her reading MSNBC.
01:13:07.000 You got mad that he said the virus was from China.
01:13:12.000 You're tough on China, really?
01:13:14.000 NAFTA and TPP and the actual unsavory financial ties of Biden and China.
01:13:19.000 You got mad when he called it the Chinese virus.
01:13:21.000 There is a case.
01:13:24.000 ...and a manufacturing recession and the American consumer paying thousands of dollars more for goods
01:13:30.000 because of that failed...
01:13:31.000 Did we?
01:13:32.000 ...war that they called it.
01:13:34.000 And let's talk about standing.
01:13:36.000 Pew, a reputable research firm, has done an analysis that shows that leaders of all of our formerly allied countries, analytize that they hold a greater esteem than the fact that J.P.
01:13:49.000 King, Fauci?
01:13:53.000 Moody?
01:13:54.000 Panky?
01:13:54.000 Really?
01:13:54.000 Brownie?
01:13:54.000 Chinese Communist Party, then they do Donald Trump, the President of the United States,
01:13:59.000 the Commander in Chief of the United States.
01:14:01.000 This is where we are today because of a failure of leadership by this administration.
01:14:12.000 She did not have an answer on that.
01:14:13.000 So Joe is, I love talking with Joe about a lot of these issues.
01:14:40.000 And, you know, Joe... What about when he grabbed her tits?
01:14:43.000 Yeah, because he's a rapist.
01:14:45.000 They don't write stories, apparently.
01:14:47.000 Just think about it as a relationship.
01:14:48.000 Interracist.
01:14:49.000 Interracist.
01:14:50.000 Has there ever been a presidential candidate who has accused the man on the top of the ticket of both rape and racism?
01:14:56.000 The second Grover Cleveland.
01:14:57.000 Yeah, it was terrible.
01:14:57.000 debate uh... the second grover cleveland uh... yeah it was terrible you're right
01:15:02.000 yeah i think i got around and i'm in fact the fdr some vp like a girl who
01:15:06.000 will turn out here to receive it Is that he has betrayed our friends and embraced dictators around the world.
01:15:17.000 Who?
01:15:18.000 Let's take, for example, Russia.
01:15:20.000 How is he embracing Russia?
01:15:21.000 Really?
01:15:22.000 Let's compare policies of Obama and Russia versus Donald Trump and Russia.
01:15:26.000 Not your fake steel dossier made up entirely scandal.
01:15:30.000 Let's be clear about that.
01:15:31.000 What's the Obama policy on Russia versus Donald Trump?
01:15:34.000 What are the sanctions?
01:15:35.000 How have we behaved with them internationally?
01:15:37.000 You tell me, sweetheart.
01:15:38.000 Let's hear it.
01:15:40.000 But Donald Trump, the commander-in-chief of the United States of America, prefers to take the word of Vladimir Putin over the word of the American intelligence community.
01:15:49.000 You look at our friends at NATO.
01:15:52.000 Can we get a reference here?
01:15:52.000 He's walked away.
01:15:54.000 What is she talking about?
01:15:55.000 If they leave you voting for the bill every single time you go out for dinner, you're not your friends.
01:16:02.000 That's everyone else at NATO.
01:16:03.000 Who got people to finally start paying their whopping 2% at NATO?
01:16:08.000 We were in that deal, guys.
01:16:10.000 That only happens if you have some strength as a leader.
01:16:12.000 I think you'd be hard-pressed to find anyone who would say that Joe Biden or Barack Obama were stronger leaders than Donald Trump.
01:16:19.000 You may say, hey, he's a dick for going in and asking everyone else in NATO to honor their fair share of the agreement.
01:16:24.000 You may not like it, but he actually got it done.
01:16:26.000 Barack Obama didn't.
01:16:27.000 Biden had 48 years.
01:16:29.000 He could have spoken in someone's ear.
01:16:30.000 Instead, he was busy grabbing tits.
01:16:33.000 It's our word, but Donald Trump doesn't understand that, because he doesn't understand what it
01:16:38.000 means to be honest.
01:16:39.000 Thank you.
01:16:40.000 Thank you.
01:16:41.000 Really?
01:16:42.000 We're not going to ban fracking?
01:16:43.000 Really, miss?
01:16:44.000 No answer to the Green New Deal, which just went up on your website?
01:16:47.000 Trump kept his word when we moved the American embassy to Jerusalem, the capital of the state
01:16:50.000 the capital of the state of Israel.
01:16:51.000 of Israel.
01:16:52.000 When Joe Biden was vice president, they promised to do that, and they never did.
01:16:52.000 When Joe Biden was vice president, they promised to do that and they never did.
01:16:56.000 We're still strong with our allies, but we've been demanding.
01:16:56.000 We're still strong with our allies, but we've been demanding.
01:17:00.000 NATO is now contributing more to our common defense than ever before, thanks to President
01:17:00.000 NATO is now contributing more to our common defense than ever before, thanks to President Trump's leadership.
01:17:04.000 Trump's leadership.
01:17:05.000 If someone's listening to this dream talk, we better check him for a while.
01:17:05.000 We've strengthened our alliance.
01:17:07.000 We better check him for a while.
01:17:10.000 And we've stood strong against those who would do us harm.
01:17:15.000 You know, when President Trump came into office, ISIS had captured an area of the Middle East
01:17:21.000 the size of Pennsylvania.
01:17:23.000 But President Trump unleashed the American military.
01:17:27.000 And our armed forces destroyed the ISIS caliphate and took down their leader, al-Baghdadi, with one American casualty.
01:17:35.000 Al-Baghdadi was responsible for the death of thousands.
01:17:40.000 But notably, America's hearts today are with the family of Kayla Mueller.
01:17:45.000 Her parents, which are here with us tonight in Salt Lake City.
01:17:49.000 Today, two of the ISIS killers Responsible for Kayla Miller's murder.
01:17:56.000 We're brought to justice in the United States.
01:17:58.000 Jihadi John was killed on the battlefield along with the other beetle.
01:18:03.000 The reality is that when Joe Biden was Vice President, we had an opportunity to save Kayla Miller.
01:18:10.000 Breaks my heart to reflect on it, but the military came into the Oval Office, presented a plan.
01:18:15.000 They said they knew where Kayla was.
01:18:17.000 Baghdadi had held her for 18 months, abused her mercilessly before they killed her.
01:18:23.000 But when Joe Biden was vice president, they hesitated for a month.
01:18:28.000 And when armed forces finally went in, it was clear she'd been moved two days earlier.
01:18:33.000 And her family says with a heart that broke the heart of every American that if President Donald Trump had been president, they believed Kayla would be alive today.
01:18:43.000 But we destroyed the ISIS caliphate.
01:18:46.000 Uh, and you talk about re-entering the Iran nuclear deal.
01:18:49.000 I mean, the last administration transferred $1.8 billion to the leading state sponsor of terrorism.
01:18:56.000 President Donald Trump got us out of the deal.
01:18:58.000 Thank you, Vice President.
01:18:59.000 Really?
01:18:59.000 You let her go on with not answering the Green New Deal question, but he's actually talking about a life saved from Islamic terrorist pricks?
01:19:06.000 You cut him off?
01:19:08.000 Some would say this matters more than her bullshittery.
01:19:10.000 Allies are safer, and the American people know President Donald Trump will never- Thank you, Vice President.
01:19:15.000 Take action.
01:19:16.000 I would like to give Senator Harris a chance to respond, but not at such great length because of course there are other topics.
01:19:21.000 I wish they would just have a curtain.
01:19:23.000 No, no, I'm not wearing a cup.
01:19:25.000 You don't need to do a cup check.
01:19:26.000 It's not standard at all.
01:19:27.000 Leave before I hurt you.
01:19:29.000 Why am I here if I can't sue that guy?
01:19:33.000 I'm so sorry.
01:19:35.000 What happened to her is awful.
01:19:39.000 And it should have never happened.
01:19:40.000 Yeah, it should have been.
01:19:41.000 And I know Joe feels the same way.
01:19:43.000 And I know that President Obama feels the same way.
01:19:45.000 I thought we checked him out, but you know... But you mentioned Soleimani.
01:19:50.000 Let's start there.
01:19:52.000 Yeah, we killed that guy.
01:19:53.000 So, after the strike on Soleimani... You pay him, we kill him.
01:19:56.000 Obama did that.
01:19:58.000 on our troops in Iraq.
01:19:59.000 You know she's going to claim killing bin Laden, which rightfully so.
01:20:02.000 Well she didn't do it.
01:20:03.000 No, it's true.
01:20:04.000 They suffered serious brain injuries and do you know what Donald Trump dismissed them
01:20:08.000 as?
01:20:09.000 Headaches.
01:20:10.000 And this is about a pattern of Donald Trump's, where he has referred to our men who are serving
01:20:18.000 in our military as suckers and losers.
01:20:20.000 No!
01:20:21.000 Liar!
01:20:23.000 No!
01:20:24.000 Go fuck yourself!
01:20:25.000 Just hop off a mayor's willy for five minutes if you find the time, sweetheart.
01:20:29.000 That's been rebuffed, that's been rebuked, that's been debunked by over ten sources, including John Bolton, who really wants it to be true.
01:20:36.000 And by the way, there are email records.
01:20:38.000 The reason Donald Trump didn't visit those troops in that scenario was in fact because of weather.
01:20:42.000 There are records.
01:20:43.000 This is what's happening again.
01:20:44.000 He wants you to fact check him on everything.
01:20:46.000 Listen, I will be surprised if a poll shows anyone coming out the victor outside of Mike Pence with a landslide here tonight.
01:20:52.000 And I was objective.
01:20:53.000 I said that Donald Trump did not perform as he needed to at the last debate.
01:20:56.000 In this scenario, this is remarkable when you look at the specifics and the actual facts and data that Mike Pence has been reciting and then the kind of cheap attacks like that that you see from her.
01:21:08.000 The debunked attacks that only CNN and MSNBC and ABC are still carrying.
01:21:13.000 It all has to rely on hearsay.
01:21:15.000 Everything she brings up.
01:21:19.000 And Donald Trump had talked at least six times to Vladimir Putin and never brought up the subject.
01:21:28.000 Joe Biden would never do that.
01:21:29.000 Joe Biden would hold Russia to account for any threat to our nation's security or to our troops.
01:21:39.000 You want to go to war again?
01:21:40.000 She said hold them to account.
01:21:42.000 She meant hold them down, referring to Russian hookers while his son gang bangs them.
01:21:48.000 I want to make sure we have a chance to talk about it.
01:21:51.000 Yeah, do it.
01:21:52.000 Do it.
01:21:53.000 15 seconds, because we're trying to keep... I'm sorry, Mr. Vice President, but you've had more time than she's had so far.
01:21:59.000 The slanders against President Donald Trump regarding men and women of our armed forces are absurd.
01:22:06.000 I'm sorry, Vice President Pence.
01:22:08.000 My son is a captain in the United States Marine Corps.
01:22:10.000 My son-in-law is deployed in the United States Navy.
01:22:13.000 I can assure all of you, with sons and daughters serving in our military, President Donald Trump not only respects but reveres all of those who serve in our armed forces.
01:22:23.000 And any suggestion otherwise is ridiculous.
01:22:26.000 Let me also say- Thank you, Vice President Pence.
01:22:28.000 The American people deserve- Susan, the American people deserve to know- Vice President Pence, I did not- Excuse me.
01:22:32.000 Susan, the American people deserve to know- I did not create the rules for tonight.
01:22:36.000 Your campaign agreed to the rules for tonight's debate with the Commission on President.
01:22:36.000 Joe Biden.
01:22:42.000 You also agreed to the rules with the nominee for Supreme Court hearing and you accuse him of gang rape.
01:22:47.000 You also agreed to rules to try and focus on policy.
01:22:50.000 You've let her skirt every single answer and then she came out and said that he called the troops losers and suckers, which by the way has been entirely debunked.
01:22:58.000 There is no verification on that at all other than anonymous sources saying that they heard Donald Trump say mean words.
01:23:04.000 That's the platform of the Democratic Party!
01:23:06.000 You want the people running America?
01:23:07.000 It's gonna be like a game of telephone with retards!
01:23:10.000 ...cement the court's conservative majority and make it likely open to more abortion restrictions,
01:23:16.000 even to overturning the landmark...
01:23:18.000 Are you crazy? Those guys are retards!
01:23:19.000 ...access to abortion would then be up to the states.
01:23:22.000 Vice President Pence, you're the former governor of Indiana.
01:23:27.000 If Roe v. Wade is overturned, what would you want Indiana to do?
01:23:31.000 By the way, I'm going to need another cerveza, please.
01:23:35.000 You can make it a mojit.
01:23:37.000 Thank you for the question.
01:23:39.000 I'll use a little bit of my time to respond to that very important issue.
01:23:42.000 The American people deserve to know, Qasem Soleimani, the Iranian general, was responsible for the death of hundreds of American service members.
01:23:52.000 When the opportunity came, we saw him headed to Baghdad to kill more Americans.
01:23:57.000 President Trump didn't hesitate.
01:23:59.000 Qasem Soleimani is gone.
01:24:02.000 But you deserve to know that Joe Biden and Kamala Harris actually criticized the decision to take out Qasem Soleimani.
01:24:11.000 It's really inexplicable.
01:24:12.000 But with regard to Joe Biden, it's explainable.
01:24:16.000 Because history records that Joe Biden actually opposed the raid against Osama bin Laden.
01:24:21.000 It's absolutely essential that we have a Commander-in-Chief who will not hesitate to act to protect American lives.
01:24:28.000 I don't know whether that's true or not.
01:24:31.000 Can Reg the Bandit look it up?
01:24:33.000 Did anyone else here know that?
01:24:35.000 I will tell you this, I live in this world and I did not know that Joseph Biden opposed the raid of the South Atlantic.
01:24:42.000 Because that clears the ledger of any military witness.
01:24:45.000 And she's a brilliant woman.
01:24:47.000 And she will bring a lifetime of experience and a sizable American family to the Supreme Court of the United States.
01:24:55.000 And our hope is in the next week, unlike Justice Kavanaugh received with treatment from you and others, we hope she gets a fair hearing.
01:25:03.000 And we particularly hope that we don't see the kind of attacks on her Christian faith that we saw before.
01:25:10.000 I mean, the Democrat chairman of the Judiciary Committee before When Judge Barrett was being confirmed for the Court of Appeals, expressed concern that the dogma of her faith lived loudly in her.
01:25:25.000 Dick Durbin of Illinois said- That is true.
01:25:27.000 Kamala Harris has a very, very well-known anti-Catholic history.
01:25:29.000 Senator, I know one of our judicial nominees, you actually attacked- Well, this was, I think, Donna Feinstein said that.
01:25:33.000 Because they were a member of the Catholic Knights of Columbus- Yeah, but also, she's one of the worst.
01:25:36.000 Just because the Knights of Columbus- Unless they're a Catholic priest molesting kids- Thank you, thank you, Vice President.
01:25:40.000 Where she failed to prosecute too much paperwork, so she went after non-violent drug offenders who were black.
01:25:44.000 But outside of that, she's spoken out against and criticized people of Catholic faith.
01:25:49.000 Repeatedly.
01:25:50.000 Senator Harris, you're the Senator from and former Attorney General of California, so let me ask you a parallel question to the one I posed to the Vice President.
01:25:58.000 If Roe v. Wade is overturned, what would you want your home state to have?
01:26:05.000 No restrictions on access to abortion.
01:26:08.000 Oh, this is absolutely true.
01:26:09.000 Let me make sure we know this.
01:26:10.000 No restrictions on access to abortion all the way up until and including birth.
01:26:13.000 That is her policy.
01:26:14.000 People of faith.
01:26:16.000 And it's insulting to suggest that we would knock anyone for their faith.
01:26:22.000 And in fact, Joe, if elected, will be only the second practicing Catholic as President of the United States.
01:26:32.000 We're getting a little loose with the term practicing.
01:26:35.000 Joe and I are very clear, as are the majority of the American people, we are 27 days before the decision about who will be the next president of the United States.
01:26:45.000 And, you know, before when this conversation has come up, you know, it's been about election year or election time.
01:26:51.000 We're literally in an election.
01:26:54.000 Over 4 million people have voted.
01:26:57.000 People are in the process of voting right now.
01:27:00.000 The show has been very clear.
01:27:02.000 We're literally in an election, Steven.
01:27:03.000 Hey, I just fact-checked it.
01:27:05.000 We're literally in an election, Stephen.
01:27:05.000 He did.
01:27:09.000 And then we'll fill that seat on the United States Supreme Court.
01:27:12.000 I just fact-checked it.
01:27:13.000 The issues before us couldn't be more serious.
01:27:16.000 Biden's own quote was that he told the president, don't go.
01:27:22.000 It should be her decision and not that of the president.
01:27:23.000 DON'T GO!
01:27:24.000 He was just sitting there like, don't go take out Osama Bin Laden!
01:27:26.000 Take the shot!
01:27:27.000 Quick question, what is the Catholic Church's stance on abortion?
01:27:30.000 Go.
01:27:30.000 take out Osama bin Laden? Take the shot!
01:27:30.000 So yeah, this is it.
01:27:32.000 Quick question Kamala, what is the Catholic Church's stance on abortion?
01:27:36.000 Go.
01:27:37.000 When over 210,000 people have died and 7 million people probably have what will be in the future considered a pre-existing
01:27:46.000 condition because you ruined, you don't trust the vibe.
01:27:49.000 Donald Trump is in court right now trying to get a voter to vote for him.
01:27:52.000 The federal government is repeatedly saying that the federal government is not going to do it.
01:27:56.000 For example, pose a risk like, I don't really want to have a kid anymore.
01:27:56.000 Could.
01:27:59.000 Yeah.
01:28:00.000 Well, it could pose mental risk as well, like she just can't handle having a child.
01:28:04.000 And by the way, she's also a fascist because she would overturn over 400 limitations on abortions that have been imposed by states, which is what was on their right.
01:28:10.000 Let's go back to her not answering the question.
01:28:12.000 You can't stay on your parents' coverage anymore.
01:28:14.000 What?
01:28:15.000 Talking about health care.
01:28:19.000 If there weren't basement losers voting for Democrats, they'd have no base.
01:28:24.000 There's some 26-year-old right now who's like, yeah, she's speaking my language, I want to be in my parents' health blue wave!
01:28:33.000 You know, you mentioned earlier, Vice President Pence, that the President was committed to maintaining protections for people with pre-existing conditions.
01:28:44.000 But you do have this court case that you are supporting, your administration is supporting, that would strike down the Affordable Care Act.
01:28:50.000 Yes.
01:28:50.000 Damn straight.
01:28:51.000 President Trump says that he's going to protect people with pre-existing conditions, but he
01:28:56.000 has not explained how he would do that.
01:28:59.000 And that was when I was not in the back when they were passing the Affordable Care Act.
01:29:03.000 So tell us specifically, how would your administration protect Americans with pre-existing conditions
01:29:09.000 to have access to affordable insurance if the Affordable Care Act is struck down?
01:29:13.000 Well, hold on a second.
01:29:14.000 There's protecting pre-existing conditions and then guaranteeing affordable insurance.
01:29:17.000 How do you have everyone get on insurance after they develop diabetes from a diet of fried Snickers and gym socks, and then they say, well, I'd like to purchase insurance now?
01:29:27.000 How do you keep costs low?
01:29:29.000 You can either have an exemption for pre-existing conditions, but it will have to be expensive, unless all Americans want to see a multi-hundred percent increase in premiums and deductibles, as we have seen under Obamacare.
01:29:39.000 So let's be really clear.
01:29:40.000 You can't have all of the above.
01:29:41.000 The Jim Sox are very vibrant.
01:29:43.000 You wouldn't want a man to explain, Harris.
01:29:43.000 Yeah.
01:29:43.000 Yeah!
01:29:44.000 Oh, yes.
01:29:45.000 Here we go.
01:29:45.000 Ooh!
01:29:45.000 Planned Parenthood of America.
01:29:47.000 Yeah.
01:29:48.000 Now for our part, I would never presume how Judge Amy Coney Barrett would rule on the
01:29:52.000 Supreme Court of the United States.
01:29:54.000 Yeah, you wouldn't want a man playing Harris.
01:29:56.000 You would continue to stand strong for the right to life.
01:29:58.000 When you speak about the Supreme Court, though, I think the American people really deserve
01:30:02.000 an answer, Senator Harris.
01:30:03.000 Oh, yes.
01:30:04.000 Here we go.
01:30:05.000 Are you and Joe Biden going to pack the court?
01:30:07.000 Shark with laser beam attached to his head.
01:30:09.000 I mean, there have been 29 vacancies on the Supreme Court during presidential election
01:30:13.000 years from George Washington to Barack Obama.
01:30:16.000 Presidents have nominated in all 29 cases.
01:30:19.000 But your party is actually openly advocating adding seats to the Supreme Court, which has had nine seats for 150 years, if you don't get your way.
01:30:29.000 This is a classic case of if you can't win by the rules, you're going to change the rules.
01:30:33.000 Now, you've refused to answer the question.
01:30:35.000 Joe Biden has refused to answer the question.
01:30:37.000 So I think the American people would really like to know.
01:30:40.000 If Judge Amy Coney Barrett is confirmed to the Supreme Court of the United States, are you and Joe Biden, if somehow you win this election, going to somehow hack the Supreme Court to get your way?
01:30:51.000 I'm so glad we went through a little history lesson.
01:30:54.000 Let's do that a little more.
01:30:55.000 And not answer the question.
01:30:56.000 In 1864.
01:30:57.000 I'd like you to answer the question.
01:31:00.000 Answer any question ever!
01:31:03.000 Ever!
01:31:03.000 Ever, you biracial nightmare!
01:31:06.000 One of the, I think, political bureaus, certainly of the President, I assume of you also Mr. Vice President, is Abraham Lincoln.
01:31:13.000 Abraham Lincoln was up for re-election.
01:31:16.000 And it was 27 days before he lost.
01:31:17.000 And a seat became open on the United States Supreme Court.
01:31:24.000 Abraham Lincoln's party was in charge, not only of the White House, but the Senate.
01:31:28.000 Who was not in session.
01:31:29.000 But honest aide.
01:31:33.000 Because nobody was in town, lady.
01:31:37.000 We were in Civil War!
01:31:39.000 And you had to go back to 1964 to find an example that you shoehorned into thinking was even fit.
01:31:45.000 What about the other 28?
01:31:46.000 Hey, by the way, you gonna pack the courts?
01:31:50.000 You gonna pack the courts?
01:31:50.000 Are you gonna pack the courts?
01:31:52.000 Are you gonna pack the courts?
01:31:54.000 I'm done with this broad.
01:31:57.000 I may have been mistaken.
01:32:00.000 Are you going to pack the courts?
01:32:02.000 Thank you, Senator.
01:32:05.000 Are you going to pack the courts?
01:32:08.000 Are you going to pack the courts?
01:32:10.000 Mike Pence had to ask the question that every American wants to know.
01:32:13.000 She shucked it and you didn't follow up.
01:32:16.000 I'm trying to answer you now.
01:32:17.000 American people deserve a straight answer.
01:32:19.000 If you haven't figured it out yet, the straight answer is they are going to pack the Supreme Court if they somehow win this election.
01:32:27.000 Men and women, I gotta tell you, people across this country, if you cherish our Supreme Court, if you cherish the separation of powers, you need to reject the Biden-Parish ticket.
01:32:36.000 Come November the 3rd, re-elect President Donald Trump, and we'll stand by that separation of powers in a nine-seat Supreme Court.
01:32:42.000 Yeah, let's talk about packing the court then.
01:32:44.000 Let's talk about it.
01:32:45.000 Please.
01:32:46.000 Answer it.
01:32:46.000 Let's talk about it.
01:32:49.000 Well, don't say it, man!
01:32:50.000 There's plenty to ask you to get an answer!
01:32:51.000 The Trump administration has been, because I sit on the Senate Judiciary Committee, Susan, as you mentioned, and I have witnessed the appointments, for lifetime appointments, to the federal courts, district courts, courts of appeal.
01:33:04.000 People who are purely ideological, people who have been reviewed by legal professional organizations and found to have been not competent, are substandard.
01:33:15.000 And do you know that of the 50 people Who President Trump appointed to the Court of Appeals for lifetime appointments.
01:33:24.000 Are you going to pack the courts?
01:33:25.000 Not one is black.
01:33:27.000 This is what they've been doing.
01:33:29.000 You want to talk about packing up court?
01:33:30.000 Let's have that discussion.
01:33:31.000 Well, then answer the question.
01:33:33.000 In that case, you wouldn't qualify.
01:33:34.000 Let's go on and talk about the issue of- Wow.
01:33:36.000 Let's talk about it without talking.
01:33:37.000 She had two chances, man!
01:33:39.000 Moderator, do- I'm sorry, but do your fucking job.
01:33:41.000 Otherwise, we're going to see for years to come people saying this is why broads shouldn't moderate debates when there are broads on stage.
01:33:48.000 I get your little sisterhood of the traveling bullshit, but call her on it now.
01:33:52.000 Call her to the MAC.
01:33:53.000 Yeah, I think I- I- It's a little bit tough.
01:33:53.000 Come on!
01:33:55.000 Yeah, I think you gotta- You can- Yeah.
01:33:56.000 Cut my eye.
01:33:56.000 Yeah, I gotta cut it.
01:33:57.000 You gotta cut it.
01:33:58.000 Cut it.
01:33:59.000 Cut the eye.
01:33:59.000 Cut the- AHH!
01:34:00.000 So will you pack the court Taylor's boyfriend said he didn't hear them do that
01:34:00.000 Mmm!
01:34:04.000 He used a gun register to fire a shot. Yeah, I think I it's a little bit
01:34:10.000 Yeah, yeah, I got it I gotta cut it. Just cut it. Yeah, I cut it
01:34:16.000 AHH! UGH! Could be a- yeah, yeah!
01:34:19.000 Okay, alright.
01:34:20.000 Okay, thank you.
01:34:21.000 Oh, thanks.
01:34:21.000 Wow, I didn't, uh, yeah.
01:34:23.000 oh my gosh yeah he's good he's good see you down his mother to make a poem you
01:34:23.000 He's good, he's still good.
01:34:30.000 just and her family and her family deserves just as beautifully on woman
01:34:36.000 she had as her life goal to become a nurse and she wants to become an EMT to
01:34:41.000 first learn what's going on Did Mike Pence shoot Breonna Taylor?
01:34:44.000 So she could then become a nurse and save her life.
01:34:47.000 Why are we talking about this?
01:34:49.000 Mike Pence's stance on Breonna Taylor, which by the way was in the hall, and from what I understand actually was the one who likely shot at the cops.
01:34:55.000 Yeah, that's what the boyfriend said, but then he went back and then he said it again.
01:34:59.000 Apparently that's more relevant than a direct question, hey, will you pack the courts, Kamala Harris?
01:35:04.000 Hey, why is the Green New Deal on your website?
01:35:06.000 It must be nice to be a Democrat woman and have to answer for nothing, whereas when you're Amy Coney Barrett, you have to answer New York Times op-eds as to whether your adoption of underprivileged black children is modern-day slave ownership.
01:35:20.000 Must be nice to be Kamala Harris and just never call to account for anything you say or do.
01:35:28.000 Shoulder to shoulder, arm in arm.
01:35:30.000 During COVID.
01:35:31.000 Fighting.
01:35:32.000 But it was okay.
01:35:33.000 For us to finally achieve that ideal of equal justice under law.
01:35:37.000 Really?
01:35:37.000 And I was a part of those peaceful protests.
01:35:38.000 What does the science say about COVID and Molotov cocktails?
01:35:42.000 Peaceful protests.
01:35:43.000 I know, I can't expect a golden standard clinical trial, but maybe there's an abstract somewhere in PubMed.
01:35:51.000 For the values that we hold dear, including the fight to achieve our ideals.
01:35:56.000 And that's why Joe Biden and I have said on this subject, look, and I'm a former career prosecutor.
01:36:02.000 I know what I'm talking about.
01:36:04.000 You want to talk about that?
01:36:06.000 We need reform of our policing in America and our criminal justice system, which is why Joe and I will immediately ban chokeholds and carotid holes.
01:36:15.000 George Floyd would be alive today if we did that.
01:36:17.000 George Floyd did not have a chokehold!
01:36:20.000 As a matter of fact, it would have been safer if they could have used a chokehold because he actually could have gone unconscious, as opposed to having a knee in his cervical spine, dummy!
01:36:28.000 I'm fine!
01:36:29.000 Yeah, and I choke, and I choke!
01:36:31.000 Maybe we can bring that up in this Bureau.
01:36:33.000 I choked out Audio Wade on air.
01:36:35.000 I've been choked unconscious at least eight times.
01:36:37.000 Anyone who's done Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu has.
01:36:39.000 I accidentally did it to you almost.
01:36:41.000 Overdosed.
01:36:41.000 You sell stores.
01:36:42.000 Let's ban guns for cops.
01:36:42.000 My bad.
01:36:43.000 Let's ban choke holds.
01:36:44.000 Let's ban tasers.
01:36:45.000 Give him a whistle.
01:36:45.000 No sticks either.
01:36:45.000 Yeah, no sticks.
01:36:46.000 Leading question!
01:36:46.000 Oh boy!
01:36:47.000 Was justice done?
01:36:48.000 Holy shit!
01:36:48.000 And the case of Breonna Taylor was justice done.
01:36:51.000 Give him a whistle.
01:36:52.000 You have two minutes, uninterrupted.
01:36:54.000 Oh boy, leading question, was justice done?
01:36:56.000 Holy shit!
01:36:57.000 Wow!
01:36:58.000 Yeah, boy.
01:36:59.000 For the loss of any innocent American life, and the family of Breonna Taylor has our sympathies.
01:37:05.000 Bye.
01:37:07.000 But I trust our justice system.
01:37:09.000 Bitch makes Chris Wallace look like John Stossel.
01:37:14.000 As a former prosecutor, you would assume that an impaneled grand jury looking at all the evidence got it wrong.
01:37:21.000 But you're entitled to your opinion.
01:37:23.000 A grand jury of your peers said no charges.
01:37:26.000 And with regard to George Floyd, there's no excuse for what happened to George Floyd.
01:37:31.000 Justice will be served.
01:37:34.000 But there's also no excuse for the rioting and looting that followed.
01:37:40.000 Yeah, why don't we ask her about the Minnesota Freedom Fund, the bail fund, which, by the way, was set free.
01:37:44.000 She was tweeting out support for it.
01:37:46.000 Let me find this.
01:37:49.000 I want to make sure that I don't get these crimes incorrect.
01:37:54.000 Yeah, the Minnesota Freedom Fund, she supported, tweeted out.
01:37:58.000 Paid $100,000 to free Darnica Floyd, who stabbed a friend to death.
01:38:00.000 Paid $350,000 to free Christopher Boswell, twice convicted, not charged.
01:38:04.000 I hope you'll appreciate that.
01:38:05.000 Thank you.
01:38:05.000 twice convicted rapist who's currently charged with kidnapping assault sexual assault
01:38:09.000 then seventy-five thousand of free Jaleel Stallings gonna get a what what
01:38:12.000 who shot a member members of a SWAT team during the riots in May give a shout out
01:38:17.000 to all of them sweetheart since you raised their money money well spent on
01:38:21.000 their terms is is a great insult I want everyone to know that puts on a uniform that's all
01:38:31.000 And President Trump and I stand with you.
01:38:31.000 it was every day.
01:38:36.000 It is remarkable that when Senator Tim Scott tried to pass a piece of the farm bill, brought
01:38:42.000 together a group of Republicans and Democrats, Senator Harris, you got up and walked out
01:38:47.000 of the room.
01:38:48.000 And then you filibustered Senator Tim Scott's bill on the Senate floor that would have provided
01:38:53.000 new accountability, new resources.
01:38:56.000 But we don't have to choose between supporting law enforcement, proving public safety, and
01:39:00.000 supporting our African American neighbors.
01:39:03.000 All of our minorities under President Trump's leadership will always stand with law enforcement
01:39:08.000 and will do what we want to do to improve the lives of African Americans.
01:39:12.000 Now don't forget, we've got Blaze Chat after this.
01:39:14.000 That's right, we have Blaze Chat.
01:39:16.000 It's our wrap-up exclusively at loudmouthcreditor.com slash MudClub.
01:39:19.000 I'm surprised it hasn't been removed tonight, but get rid of that fly.
01:39:21.000 I know, it's a little weird.
01:39:23.000 I gotta ask, go ahead.
01:39:25.000 On what it means to enforce the laws of our country, I am the only one on this stage I was going to say, in terms of the question, I want to hear what was the best answer you heard, or question you heard, from Biden.
01:39:43.000 And the reason being is that there was a real great question in there.
01:39:45.000 It was true.
01:39:46.000 And it was about packing the courts if you didn't hear it.
01:39:48.000 From Pence.
01:39:49.000 I want to have that on a loop like a morphine drip.
01:39:52.000 I want that fly to die.
01:39:54.000 I'm not sure that it didn't leave her mouth like pestilence.
01:39:57.000 Like she grabbed the warden's crotch in the Green Mile.
01:40:01.000 Like in Constantine.
01:40:04.000 Not true.
01:40:06.000 It wasn't like he didn't have a chance.
01:40:10.000 How about you condemn the $2 billion in damage in the 14,000 arrests, 1,000 officer casualties,
01:40:14.000 30 people dead.
01:40:15.000 And then he said, when pressed, stand by it.
01:40:16.000 Over 500 riots across the country, sweetheart.
01:40:19.000 And by the way, you freed criminals who were convicted rapists.
01:40:23.000 You tweeted out support for a fund.
01:40:24.000 How about you answer that?
01:40:25.000 Also, you could have packed the courts.
01:40:27.000 He called the Mexicans.
01:40:28.000 Oh, the fly's gone.
01:40:29.000 Thank God.
01:40:30.000 Rapists and criminals.
01:40:32.000 You freed them!
01:40:32.000 Rapists?
01:40:33.000 You put non-violent drug offenders behind bars and then you supported the Minnesota Freedom Fund that let convicted rapists out!
01:40:42.000 The need for racial justice, where a young woman was killed and on the other side there were neo-Nazis carrying tiki torches, shouting racial epithets, anti-semitic slurs, And Donald Trump, when asked about it, said there were fine people on both sides.
01:41:03.000 No!
01:41:04.000 Really?
01:41:04.000 Okay, listen.
01:41:07.000 I have not said this before.
01:41:08.000 This is a very clear line now between good and evil.
01:41:11.000 These are flat-out lies.
01:41:13.000 Green New Deal, it's on your website.
01:41:15.000 Do you support it?
01:41:15.000 Not answering.
01:41:16.000 Packing the course.
01:41:17.000 Do you support it?
01:41:18.000 Not answering.
01:41:19.000 Donald Trump called troops suckers and losers.
01:41:21.000 Completely, verifiably debunked.
01:41:23.000 She set free twice convicted rapists and now she says something that we all know is a lie.
01:41:28.000 Just watch that video.
01:41:29.000 You can go watch my... Type in Stephen Kreider, Donald Trump, white supremacist.
01:41:32.000 You can watch the entire video in context where he said several times at that meeting, I'm not talking about white supremacists and neo-Nazis who should be condemned.
01:41:40.000 Totally.
01:41:41.000 Absolutely.
01:41:42.000 She is lying.
01:41:43.000 She doesn't... She doesn't care.
01:41:46.000 That she's lying and she doesn't plan on you knowing because the moderator isn't doing her job and she knows that the rest of the media will act, will follow suit of that moderator tomorrow morning.
01:41:56.000 This should get 500 Pinocchios, which she would proceed to rub back and forth vigorously if it were a mayoral position.
01:42:03.000 Go ahead.
01:42:04.000 This is a president who respects and cherishes all of the American people.
01:42:10.000 But you talk about having personally prosecuted.
01:42:12.000 I'm glad you brought up that.
01:42:15.000 I really need to make this point.
01:42:17.000 When you were DA in San Francisco, when you left office, African-Americans were 19 times more likely to be prosecuted for minor drug offenses than whites and Hispanics.
01:42:31.000 When your attorney general in California increased the disproportionate incarceration of blacks in California, you did nothing on criminal justice reform in California.
01:42:41.000 You didn't lift a finger to pass the First Step Act on Capitol Hill.
01:42:45.000 I mean, the reality is your record speaks for itself.
01:42:48.000 President Trump and I have fought Thank you, Vice President Pence.
01:42:53.000 I said thank you.
01:42:54.000 Thank you, sir.
01:42:54.000 Thank you.
01:42:54.000 Oh, we threw that in there.
01:42:55.000 Final issue.
01:42:56.000 Final issue.
01:42:57.000 He attacked my record.
01:42:58.000 I would like an opportunity to respond.
01:42:59.000 He eliminated your record.
01:43:00.000 He didn't actually attack it.
01:43:01.000 than the final issue- You prefer peanuts or tree nuts?
01:43:03.000 Ooh, final issue.
01:43:04.000 Of the election itself.
01:43:06.000 He attacked my record.
01:43:07.000 I would like an option to respond.
01:43:09.000 Let me give you 30 seconds.
01:43:10.000 He eliminated your record.
01:43:11.000 He didn't actually attack it.
01:43:12.000 I appreciate that.
01:43:13.000 He just said what you did.
01:43:14.000 First of all, having served as the Attorney General of the state of California,
01:43:20.000 the work that I did is a model of what our nation needs to do.
01:43:24.000 Oh, really?
01:43:25.000 And we will be able to do under a Joe Biden presidency.
01:43:28.000 More of that.
01:43:29.000 I Our agenda includes what this administration has failed to do.
01:43:34.000 It will be about not only instituting a ban on chokeholds and carotid holes, not only... Thank you, Senator.
01:43:41.000 I would like to... There we go.
01:43:43.000 Final round.
01:43:44.000 I want to talk about the election itself.
01:43:45.000 The round five?
01:43:46.000 Thank you, Candidate.
01:43:48.000 That's coercion, I think.
01:43:49.000 Thank you so much.
01:43:52.000 I was the first statewide officer to institute a requirement that my agents... As a prosecutor, she opposed marijuana legalization.
01:43:59.000 She kept inmates jailed for use of cheap labor longer than their sentences and she supported the death penalty.
01:44:05.000 And she imprisoned over 1,500 people on marijuana charges.
01:44:11.000 We did the work of instituting reforms that were about investing in reentry.
01:44:19.000 This is the work that we have done and the work we will do going forward and again I will not be lectured.
01:44:25.000 Yes, you will.
01:44:26.000 You will take it.
01:44:27.000 You'll take it and say, thank you, sir, may I have another?
01:44:30.000 By the way, can we go back to the courts?
01:44:31.000 You never did it when you had the chance.
01:44:34.000 You never did.
01:44:34.000 You just locked up some guys dropping Nick's tapes and smoked some reefer.
01:44:37.000 She had nothing to talk about during college.
01:44:39.000 You just locked up some guys dropping nicks tapes and smoked some reefer.
01:44:44.000 She had nothing.
01:44:45.000 To the back.
01:44:46.000 She's trying to use Rico on Kid Cudi.
01:44:51.000 If your ticket wins and President Trump refuses to accept a peaceful transfer of power, what
01:44:57.000 status would you ask President Biden then take?
01:45:00.000 What would happen next?
01:45:02.000 You have two minutes.
01:45:05.000 So I'll tell you, Joe and I are particularly proud of the coalition that we've built around our campaign.
01:45:14.000 We probably have one of the broadest coalitions of folks that you've ever seen in a presidential race.
01:45:19.000 It doesn't include blacks and Latinos and the typical Democrats, but also independents and Republicans.
01:45:24.000 In fact, seven members of President George W. Bush's cabinet are supporting our ticket.
01:45:31.000 Uh, we have the support of Colin Powell, Cindy McCain, John Kasich, over 500 generals, retired generals and former national security experts and advisors are supporting our campaign.
01:45:48.000 And I believe they are too, because they know that Joe Biden has a deep, deep-seated commitment to fight for our democracy.
01:45:57.000 What's the thumb thing?
01:45:59.000 That's how you know she's the Obama.
01:46:01.000 That's how Clinton did it first.
01:46:02.000 Bring that thumb out.
01:46:04.000 the American people. We believe in our democracy and here's what I'd like to say to everybody.
01:46:09.000 Vote. Please vote.
01:46:11.000 Vote early.
01:46:12.000 Come up with a plan to vote.
01:46:13.000 Go to IWillVote.com.
01:46:15.000 You can also go to DaleBiden.com.
01:46:18.000 We have it within our power in these next 27 days.
01:46:20.000 You know what they would do.
01:46:22.000 Give me your vote, make it twice, and let's forget about it.
01:46:25.000 They're going to be at the inauguration.
01:46:28.000 And it is within our power, and if we use our vote, and we use our voice, We will win, and we will not let anyone subvert our democracy with what Donald Trump has been doing, as he did on the debate stage last week, when again in front of 70 million people, he openly attempted to suppress the vote.
01:46:51.000 Well really, how?
01:46:52.000 Joe Biden on the other hand, on that same debate stage, because clearly Donald Trump
01:46:55.000 doesn't think he can run on a record because it's a failed record.
01:46:56.000 Well, there's 1,500 non-violent drug offenders being locked up.
01:46:59.000 Joe Biden on that stage said, hey, just please vote.
01:47:02.000 What margins do you win by?
01:47:04.000 Please vote.
01:47:05.000 Thank you, Senator.
01:47:06.000 Vice President Pence, President Trump has several times refused to commit himself to
01:47:10.000 a peaceful transfer of power after the election.
01:47:13.000 Let's focus on the fact, let's focus on policies.
01:47:15.000 Call me to the floor and fact check me.
01:47:18.000 I want the lowest common possible denominator to go out and vote and I hope you don't understand the bloodbath that took place tonight.
01:47:28.000 Well, Susan, first and foremost, I think we're going to win this election.
01:47:31.000 It's like wounded biracial need.
01:47:33.000 Kamala Harris rattled off a long litany of the establishment in Washington, D.C., an establishment that Joe Biden's been a part of for 47 years.
01:47:41.000 President Donald Trump has launched a movement of everyday Americans from every walk of life.
01:47:48.000 And I have every confidence that those same Americans that delivered that historic victory in 2016, they see this President's record where we rebuild our military.
01:47:58.000 We revived our economy through tax cuts and rolling back regulations, fighting for fair trade, unleashing American energy.
01:48:05.000 We appointed conservatives to our federal courts at every level.
01:48:09.000 And we stood with the men and women of law.
01:48:12.000 I think that movement of Americans has only grown stronger in the last four years.
01:48:18.000 When you talk about accepting the outcome of the election, I must tell you, Senator, your party has spent the last three and a half years trying to overturn the results of the last election.
01:48:30.000 It's amazing.
01:48:32.000 When Joe Biden was Vice President of the United States, the FBI actually spied on President Trump in my campaign.
01:48:39.000 I mean, there were documents released this week that the CIA actually made a referral To the FBI documenting that those allegations were coming from the Hillary Clinton campaign.
01:48:49.000 And of course, we've all seen the avalanche.
01:48:52.000 That's strange, isn't it?
01:48:53.000 Weird.
01:48:53.000 Weird!
01:48:54.000 By the way, are you sure about backing those courts?
01:48:57.000 For the better part of three years.
01:48:58.000 Until it was found that there was no obstruction, no collusion.
01:49:01.000 You should end on that.
01:49:02.000 Case closed.
01:49:03.000 And then, Senator Harris, you and your colleagues in the Congress tried to impeach the President of the United States over a phone call.
01:49:13.000 And now Hillary Clinton has actually said to Joe Biden that under, in her words, under no circumstances should he concede the election.
01:49:19.000 So, let me just say, I think we're going to win this election.
01:49:22.000 President Trump and I are fighting every day in courthouses to prevent Joe Biden and Kamala Harris from changing the rules and creating this universal mail-in voting that will create a massive opportunity for voter fraud.
01:49:33.000 And we have a free and fair election.
01:49:35.000 Someone call the cops.
01:49:36.000 And I believe in all my heart that President Donald Trump is going to be re-elected for four more years.
01:49:41.000 You know, I've asked, I've written all the questions that I've asked tonight.
01:49:45.000 Don't forget we need Blaze Chat.
01:49:47.000 You wrote those?
01:49:48.000 I'd like to read a question that someone else wrote.
01:49:52.000 The Utah Debate Commission asks students... We need Blaze Chat.
01:49:55.000 Don't forget.
01:49:55.000 Best questions from the night.
01:49:56.000 Here we go.
01:49:56.000 She's an 8th grader at Springville Junior High in Springville, Utah.
01:49:59.000 on the blaze people who are watching on the blaze we'll be taking your chat exclusively
01:50:03.000 she's going behind the paywall at springville junior high in springville utah and here's
01:50:07.000 what she wrote quote when i watch the news all i see is arguing between democrats and
01:50:16.000 When I watch the news, all I see is citizen fighting against citizen.
01:50:21.000 When I watch the news, all I see are two candidates from opposing parties trying to tear each other down.
01:50:27.000 If our leaders can't get along, how are the citizens supposed to get along?
01:50:31.000 And then she added, It's pretty hard for citizens to get along when this broad is freeing twice convicted rapists.
01:50:39.000 Get along!
01:50:40.000 She's turning the streets into like I Am Legend with rapists.
01:50:44.000 You have to curl up in the tub and close the metal shades.
01:50:48.000 Kamala's nearby, there must be a couple of convicted rapists running around.
01:50:51.000 Like the hounds of hell.
01:50:55.000 I started following the news when I was very young.
01:50:59.000 Yeah, we believe that.
01:51:00.000 And in America, we believe in free and open exchange.
01:51:03.000 Captain America, you had a subscription to Newsweek.
01:51:05.000 You bought from some guy who was shot in the face, went door-to-door selling magazine subscriptions.
01:51:09.000 Free is the most prosperous nation in the history of the world.
01:51:15.000 Somewhere in your past, there's both a series of wedgies and a stamp collection.
01:51:21.000 We buy it.
01:51:21.000 But that's what prepared you for tonight.
01:51:23.000 It's synonymous with the American people.
01:51:26.000 You know, I look at the relationship between Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, the late justice who we just lost from the Supreme Court, and the late Justice Antonin Scalia.
01:51:36.000 They were on polar opposites on the Supreme Court of the United States.
01:51:40.000 One very liberal, one very conservative.
01:51:43.000 But what's been learned since her passing was the two of them and their families- Because she didn't accuse him of being a neo-Nazi.
01:51:49.000 Or a gang rapist.
01:51:50.000 Or a gang rapist.
01:51:51.000 We can debate vigorously as Senator Harris and I have on this stage tonight.
01:51:57.000 But when the debate is over... Remind me to go back to... I have a tidbit about changing my mind behind the paywall that would relate to this.
01:52:04.000 This idea of civility.
01:52:05.000 Don't let me forget.
01:52:06.000 I want to tell you that we're going to work every day to have government as good as our people.
01:52:12.000 And the American people each and every day.
01:52:14.000 We love a good debate.
01:52:15.000 We love a good argument.
01:52:17.000 But we always come together and are always there for one another in times of need.
01:52:22.000 And we've especially learned that through the difficulties of this year.
01:52:24.000 I would like to present the socially distanced crowd.
01:52:28.000 Senator Harris, what would you say to the crowd?
01:52:30.000 Please proceed to soccer riot.
01:52:31.000 First of all, I love hearing from our young leaders.
01:52:35.000 And when I hear her words, when I hear your words, Brecklin, I know our future is bright.
01:52:41.000 Because it is that perspective on who we are and who we should be that is a sign of leadership and is something we should all aspire to be.
01:52:50.000 And that, you know, that brings me to Joe.
01:52:52.000 And something we should all aspire to blow.
01:52:53.000 B!
01:52:56.000 Another B word.
01:52:57.000 By the way, there was one death in Charlottesville, which of course, horrible and should be condemned as Donald Trump did.
01:53:03.000 That's not even close to the over 30 deaths at the over 500 violent riots with 1,000 officer casualties, 14,000 arrests and 2 billion in damage.
01:53:08.000 George.
01:53:09.000 There was one death in Charlottesville, which of course, horrible and should be condemned
01:53:13.000 as Donald Trump did.
01:53:15.000 That's not even close to the over 30 deaths at the over 500 violent riots with a thousand
01:53:19.000 officer casualties, 14,000 arrests and 2 billion in damage.
01:53:23.000 It's not even close.
01:53:24.000 I think that's like a 45 minute stretch in Chicago over the weekend.
01:53:27.000 the weekend one death. You mean you have to know Joe's story to know that Joe has known pain, he has known
01:53:47.000 suffering, and he has known love. And so Brecklin, when you think about the future, I do believe the future
01:53:47.000 Didn't you accuse him of loving too much?
01:53:50.000 Didn't you say that you believed his accusers?
01:53:53.000 Who in graphic detail described sexual assault?
01:53:57.000 Didn't you also say that he was a racist?
01:53:59.000 Like a rapey Jim Crow?
01:54:00.000 Like just a little bit of a horny David Duke?
01:54:06.000 Geez.
01:54:07.000 Just a handsy Robert Byrd, isn't that how you describe him?
01:54:09.000 We want to thank, not me!
01:54:11.000 Hey, I've got one more question for Blaze Chat, if it's okay.
01:54:12.000 President Pence, thank you so much for being with us tonight. We want to thank
01:54:16.000 also the University of Utah for its hospitality. We want to thank, not me! And most of all...
01:54:20.000 I've got one more question for Blaze Chat, if it's okay.
01:54:24.000 Yeah. I want to hear what was the question or topic you wish was asked of either
01:54:28.000 candidate that This is the one VP one.
01:54:30.000 What do you mean, from the moderator?
01:54:32.000 How about packing those courts?
01:54:33.000 How about packing those courts there, Kamala?
01:54:35.000 Instead, Pence had to ask it twice and didn't get an answer.
01:54:38.000 Uh, three times, I think, actually.
01:54:39.000 Did he ask three times?
01:54:40.000 I think it was three times.
01:54:41.000 Third time's the charm.
01:54:42.000 And no, not for Pence it wasn't.
01:54:44.000 No, tonight, more like fifth time could have been the charm.
01:54:48.000 Or if Susan was doing her fucking job.
01:54:53.000 All right, by the way, thank you so much to everyone who's tuned in.
01:54:56.000 The promo code is CrowderDebateStream.
01:54:58.000 That's the hashtag.
01:54:58.000 You get $20 off if you join Mug Club here within the next 24 hours.
01:55:03.000 Next week, we have the presidential debate, which we will be covering.
01:55:07.000 The theme is going to be professional wrestling.
01:55:09.000 The golden years of professional wrestling, namely the 80s and 90s.
01:55:12.000 The Von Ericks, baby!
01:55:13.000 So get your costumes ready.
01:55:15.000 And I think before we go, to give our final thoughts, look at Harris!
01:55:19.000 Her husband has a mask and that's just an excuse to not kiss her.
01:55:23.000 How many mayors?
01:55:29.000 How many Senators?
01:55:30.000 State Senators.
01:55:32.000 The principle's the same!
01:55:33.000 State Senators?
01:55:34.000 That's worse.
01:55:35.000 That's literally worse.
01:55:37.000 I know, but that's my point.
01:55:38.000 She doesn't know how to form a cogent argument.
01:55:41.000 Oh my gosh.
01:55:43.000 She's like a tray-used horse in the quicksand.
01:55:45.000 That's true.
01:55:45.000 I think that mask is covering his eyes.
01:55:47.000 Geez.
01:55:48.000 Alright, let's see who the winner is of the costume contest tonight.
01:55:52.000 And then we'll watch a little bit of CNN before we go for Mug Club exclusives.
01:55:56.000 Winner of the costume contest is J.R.
01:55:59.000 Valentine.
01:56:00.000 There we go, he's in his warm-up gear.
01:56:03.000 American flag, warm-up.
01:56:05.000 Good for you.
01:56:06.000 We gave a romper a prize?
01:56:07.000 We haven't seen a rougher uprising.
01:56:10.000 I want to see what they're saying right now.
01:56:15.000 There is, I think, a disparity in terms of some of the unanswered questions.
01:56:20.000 Both of them did a lot of dodging.
01:56:22.000 Harris wouldn't answer the question about the penalty.
01:56:25.000 And that's significant.
01:56:26.000 Biden and Harris should answer it.
01:56:29.000 On the other hand, Pence wouldn't answer the question about why the U.S.
01:56:32.000 death rate from COVID is so much worse than any other wealthy country.
01:56:35.000 And he wouldn't commit to a peaceful transfer of power.
01:56:38.000 So while they both dodged questions, I can't help but think these ones that Pence dodged are somewhat more significant.
01:56:45.000 Of course! Of course they are!
01:56:47.000 Come on, someone stuff that guy in a locker. Please? Come on, let's be really clear.
01:56:54.000 The question that should have been asked right now, the number one topic that people are discussing outside of this manufactured outrage of Donald Trump showing up on a balcony somewhere like they think he's going to be John Wilkes Booth walking up behind.
01:57:07.000 He is the president.
01:57:07.000 You should be concerned about who's walking up behind him on the balcony.
01:57:10.000 They're trying to act as though the main question, which should have been asked tonight, are you going to pack the courts, which Pence did two, you say three times.
01:57:19.000 I remember twice.
01:57:20.000 back to the judges. She didn't answer as though that is as pointed of a question or sorry as
01:57:25.000 though that is not more of a pointed question than uh Pence what do you think about Donald
01:57:29.000 Trump uh not committing to a uh a peace? She didn't answer any question.
01:57:34.000 She answered none!
01:57:35.000 At all!
01:57:35.000 She didn't answer on the Green New Deal, she didn't answer on the packing the courts, she answered on nothing!
01:57:42.000 Yeah, on the raising of taxes, didn't answer that, and by the way, CNN, this is exactly like CNN to pivot back to the two things that they think scare Americans the most right now.
01:57:51.000 COVID, they've got their death count all the time on that channel, and saying that when Donald Trump loses, he will just stay in office, guys, we have to get him out.
01:57:59.000 Not this person.
01:57:59.000 your attention because COVID will go away, the joblessness won't. Let's see what Addy Fat Lip has
01:58:04.000 to say. Even when it wasn't his turn and then he was given time to go over by 30 seconds here,
01:58:11.000 45 seconds there. I mean these are technicalities but in the moment what it means is that you got
01:58:16.000 you feel very connected. If this were a bar fight Mike Pence stuck his back against the wall so that
01:58:20.000 no one could get behind him and just threw them and everyone on this panel has a fat lip because
01:58:23.000 they are democratic activists. Not this person, she has fake skinny lips.
01:58:28.000 What?!
01:58:28.000 didn't answer the question at all.
01:58:30.000 She has penciled in lips.
01:58:31.000 He went completely in a different direction.
01:58:32.000 So something also that I think we can't ignore is the concept of gender.
01:58:36.000 What?
01:58:37.000 Gender doesn't exist.
01:58:38.000 What?
01:58:39.000 White men, but definitely men on the stage.
01:58:40.000 We can't ignore the concept of gender.
01:58:45.000 Senator Harris is only the third woman to be on a ticket.
01:58:47.000 The first one was in 1984 with Geraldine Ferraro.
01:58:50.000 Jake Tapper, I hate all that you choose to be.
01:58:53.000 That's acknowledging she lost.
01:58:55.000 Yeah, nobody said that!
01:58:59.000 This is the language of people who all have black eyes and fat lips.
01:59:03.000 I feel like every single one of them here were watching this debate like they were in the chair in Total Recard.
01:59:13.000 I don't know if it's that way, but I'm wondering if it is that way.
01:59:15.000 Well, I'll tell you this, and Abby, I want to get your thoughts on this.
01:59:18.000 I was texting with a friend who is an African-American man saying, do you think that she's letting someone else go in a way that maybe she shouldn't?
01:59:29.000 And the answer was, are you kidding me?
01:59:31.000 You know that she's a black woman.
01:59:32.000 She has to kind of pull her punches on that.
01:59:35.000 And I'm not so sure that's true.
01:59:37.000 I mean, she was tough.
01:59:38.000 And she certainly had her moments.
01:59:40.000 I mean there's nothing more patronizing and racist than saying that a woman is unable, a woman or a woman of color or any person of a different gender or race, saying that they can't argue.
01:59:52.000 If you've been in a high school debate room, you've seen people of every height, weight, color, deformity, whatever it may be.
02:00:01.000 Whoa, whoa, whoa.
02:00:02.000 Why do you have to bring the West Virginian Hill people into this?
02:00:04.000 Well, I was talking about myself.
02:00:05.000 But, you know, literally anyone... You can't see the hammer toes in dress shoes.
02:00:11.000 Anyone can make a good argument.
02:00:13.000 Anyone can put together their thoughts.
02:00:15.000 And you know what, most importantly?
02:00:17.000 Anyone can answer a question.
02:00:19.000 Yeah.
02:00:20.000 Or except for Kamala.
02:00:21.000 And it has nothing to do with how many women were on the Vice President ticket, how many been on the debate stage, what are skin colors, what are genders.
02:00:27.000 Nothing.
02:00:27.000 It's about do you have the substance.
02:00:29.000 And tonight, only Pence came with the substance.
02:00:31.000 Only Pence answered.
02:00:32.000 It wasn't even close.
02:00:32.000 I've got to finish this point.
02:00:34.000 And then he was allowed to finish his point well beyond his time.
02:00:36.000 Oh my God!
02:00:37.000 What a fucking nightmare!
02:00:40.000 The man who was actually answering questions was allowed to finish answering a question?
02:00:44.000 Oh, what a nightmare!
02:00:46.000 For crying out loud!
02:00:47.000 Abby Phillips just called Susan Page a racist, sexist, white supremacist.
02:00:53.000 Because you let him go over the time for a couple of minutes even though you just went ahead and gave Kamala an extra 30 seconds whenever she wanted.
02:01:00.000 She delivered nothing but unsubstantiated attacks and when he would actually go over time he would use it to answer the questions.
02:01:06.000 That's a byproduct of cable news, which is take as long as you can to make as few points as you can, that way you get more air time.
02:01:21.000 Whereas a comedian comes in, and we know this from, you know, Phyllis Diller said, I didn't learn comedy when I learned how to write, I learned comedy when I learned how to edit.
02:01:27.000 If there's a point that you can make in four words, don't use eight. So that's a byproduct, I hate to say it,
02:01:33.000 of the sort of Bill O'Reilly, Hannity, all of these sort of cable news conservative leading. You
02:01:40.000 can do the same thing on CNN, but typically speaking they have more panels, you know,
02:01:43.000 there are two, three, four people, whereas they have more guest segments, on average on Fox
02:01:47.000 News, where you take as much time to answer a question as possible.
02:01:51.000 So they would do well to have some comedians or comedic writers, some people who work in the entertainment industry, helping them with some of these preparations.
02:01:59.000 And I don't mean only people who work in the entertainment industry, but you do need someone who understands.
02:02:04.000 When people say, oh, why would you say that?
02:02:06.000 Don't you think the office is... Do you not believe that any presidential candidate in the history of the United States would be incredibly well served to have Mark Twain on their prep team?
02:02:16.000 Of course they would.
02:02:18.000 Pence needs a little bit of that.
02:02:19.000 That would be the only shortcoming I would have said for tonight.
02:02:22.000 But we do have to get going here pretty soon.
02:02:25.000 Is there anything else I need to announce here?
02:02:30.000 Promo code is CrowderDebateStream.
