00:01:36.180 Someone who says, you know, the Bible's been changed.
00:01:38.100 It's been edited.
00:01:39.240 Mankind has taken things out over the years.
00:01:41.860 The first thing I ask is, okay, what's this person's agenda?
00:01:45.400 Let's say the entire book of Matthew was taken out of every Bible.
00:01:48.100 Like someone snapped their finger and Matthew went away.
00:01:50.040 could you could you still tell people the story of jesus yeah because you have the other gospel
00:01:53.800 with those last nine verses of mark chapter 16 yeah those are kind of squirrely and even before
00:01:59.280 i even knew a whole lot about the bible when i read those for the first time when i was a kid
00:02:03.780 i was like that doesn't seem right if god knows everything how does god change his mind
00:02:08.940 these are things you have to wrestle with both things can't be true you are an internal being
00:02:13.160 whether you like it or not okay so joe rogan had a guest on and apparently that guest is
00:02:20.900 deleting bible verses mcclellan no he's not deleting bible verses well that's what it says
00:02:25.280 in the the thing this is a clickbait title no what he's saying is that the bible had bible
00:02:31.760 verses deleted and i don't know if it's true okay so we we're inviting ed back on thank god
00:02:37.520 because i didn't do any homework i don't know all right bring on ed ed maybe he's back
00:02:42.200 hey we sent you that's nancy there we go you some clips from this latest joe rogan episode
00:02:49.780 and we're trying to figure out what is that what's actually going on sent you some clips
00:02:53.900 that i didn't watch by the way well he didn't do his homework i did have a chance to look at him
00:02:58.000 this morning and so the gist of it is that this guest was talking about how there are some parts
00:03:03.400 of the of the bible specific especially the new testament that have been edited um some things
00:03:07.280 been taken out some things have been added in in in some of the notes that you see at the bottom of
00:03:13.380 some of the scriptures it'll when you see the annotations it'll say this piece was added at
00:03:17.380 this point or the original the the masoretic text says this or the texas recepticus actually says
00:03:23.080 this it's a little different than what might be in the in the version you might be reading because
00:03:27.960 you know there's an original king james version which was done with 1600s that had a lot of stuff
00:03:33.000 a lot of books that aren't necessarily in our modern bibles because the the 1600s version had
00:03:39.180 like the book of enoch it has some other stuff in it you have the ethiopian version which also had
00:03:42.500 some additional books in it but our modern versions have been have edited some of those
00:03:47.660 things out for example the last uh i think nine verses of mark chapter 16 where it talks about how
00:03:53.340 one of the signs of of of being a christian is you'll be handling snakes and all the sorts of
00:03:59.320 things that seem kind of weird so and it's like i think this this has become kind of viral because
00:04:05.700 of the idea of the bible being edited or things being taken away things being hidden from us is
00:04:10.580 just kind of a sexy topic yeah we had a conversation not long ago that was like oh
00:04:15.660 the mandela effects of the bible did you know that this thing has changed that thing has changed
00:04:20.860 which suddenly means either we've hopped timelines or something like that but everything that i've
00:04:26.220 been learning lately is I pass everything through sort of the simplicity of the gospel. And I don't
00:04:31.940 think that scripture needs to be some giant convoluted conspiracy necessarily in order to
00:04:39.240 grasp the true meaning, what's actually important there. What do you think, Ed?
00:04:43.380 Well, whenever I hear someone say or talk about someone brings me a clip or something about
00:04:50.220 someone who says, you know, the Bible's been changed. It's been edited. Mankind has taken
00:04:54.700 things out over the years. The first thing I ask is, okay, what's this person's agenda?
00:04:58.780 And now the person who was on Rogan, from what I could tell, I didn't see the whole thing. I just
00:05:03.000 saw some clips. It seems like his agenda is just to give information. He didn't seem to have like
00:05:07.340 this really strong bias. He was just saying, you know, these things are different. Things look like
00:05:12.120 they've been taken out or some things like they've been added. A few verses. He didn't say like
00:05:16.220 widespread changes. So I think he was just being more of an academic and more of a scholar,
00:05:21.080 which i can appreciate but there are other people who have an agenda where they'll try basically to
00:05:25.560 say that the bible's unreliable because x has been added things have been taken away things that the
00:05:31.560 the church and they usually mean the catholic church or the orthodox church have taken things
00:05:35.880 out because they have an agenda and so you can't trust the bible so the bottom line is a lot of
00:05:39.480 people say this like you know our old buddy um uh billy carson or or the chinese version of billy
00:05:45.000 Carson, Professor Jing Zhang, will all do these sorts of things where their agenda is you can't
00:05:50.820 trust the Bible, but you can trust me because I'm a scholar. So that's the first thing I ask.
00:05:56.500 And then what I look at is like the overall theme of the Bible and the way God presented it. So let
00:06:05.200 me just go through this really quickly and I'll get your response to it. My old mentor, Chuck
00:06:12.220 Missler, who was an information scientist. He would always talk about how when God inspires
00:06:18.800 the Bible, when the Holy Spirit inspires the Bible, he did it with the idea that there was
00:06:23.460 going to be what he called hostile jamming, because he was a military guy. And so he was
00:06:27.440 in counterintelligence. And I talk about this a little bit in my spiritual warfare course. I think
00:06:30.760 in month two, there's a whole workbook and lesson on counterintelligence. So God knew that he was
00:06:39.960 going to be putting this information source out there into a world with people and entities that
00:06:45.400 had an agenda to dispute it and to try to corrupt it. So what he did was he basically put the
00:06:53.420 messages of the Bible all through the Bible so that even if it's altered, you can still get the
00:06:59.200 full message. I mean, for example, if I were to ask you, what's the chapter that tells me everything
00:07:05.520 about salvation there's that's so interesting yeah there is not one right you know yeah you
00:07:11.760 have to go elsewhere we have to go you can go to the gospels you can go to paul's works you can go
00:07:15.660 to the old testament the proto evangelism in in genesis chapter three so in order to get the full
00:07:20.520 um the full of uh version of salvation in order to get everything you have to go all through it
00:07:25.000 like same thing with like love love is all through the bible there's not a single place and so in
00:07:28.800 other words if one piece was taken out you would still have the story but the way he likens it
00:07:35.280 way chuck likened it was to a hologram the way people back in the day would build a holographic
00:07:39.560 image you would take a bunch of photographs all around a thing and then put them all together
00:07:45.400 so you so it's not two-dimensional so that even if something was altered you could still see it
00:07:51.240 i'll give you an example that he would use like say like right now you're saying even though
00:07:55.220 we're three-dimensional you're seeing a two-dimensional image right now let's say if
00:07:58.860 i were to put this this paper in front of me you can't see me but if this if this was a hologram
00:08:04.160 you could go around this way and still see me you know what i'm saying the bible is made the same
00:08:10.780 way so that's actually really interesting ed because i was just talking about that we're doing
00:08:15.160 corinthians for dummies me and matt and one of the takeaways that i had was like the repetition
00:08:20.180 that you see in scripture um where it's it number one it's structured as if it is teaching you it's
00:08:28.460 not structured like i mean it is this um historical log and and it is um so many different things
00:08:34.740 chronology etc but it is teaching you through repetition let's say in the particular instance
00:08:40.780 of what we were looking at which was uh the wisdom of god looking like foolishness to the wisdom of
00:08:47.320 man and it's like over and over and over again you really can't go very far without these uh
00:08:53.500 concepts being reiterated and that is all throughout scripture so this is actually something
00:08:57.680 just talking about where it's like even if i didn't read corinthians i would get that from
00:09:02.860 another book well can i exactly bring this clip up really quickly because this is an interesting
00:09:06.700 point here um the guy's name is mcclellan i think it's john mcclellan not sure sorry yeah here we go
00:09:13.160 we'll add it to the stage you'll see verse 18 19 20 22 23 24 and there'll be a footnote at the end
00:09:20.100 of verse 20 that'll say some ancient manuscripts add and then it'll quote a translation of verse
00:09:26.380 21. And this freaks people out when they discover this, if they don't know the history, the reason
00:09:31.660 that these passages were taken out. There are about 16 passages in the New Testament
00:09:35.980 that have been taken out. Is there any debate about whether or not they should have been taken
00:09:41.640 out? Among scholars, not really. So for instance, the passage in Matthew 17, 21, we have some very,
00:09:50.260 very old manuscripts that don't have it at all. It's just not in there. And then we have like
00:09:55.660 Codex Sinaiticus, which is mid-4th century CE. So this text, this codex was probably transcribed
00:10:04.000 a little after the Council of Nicaea. And it's not in the main body of text, but there's a little
00:10:11.160 star in the margin. And then up at the top, somebody scribbled in this passage. And then
00:10:18.560 in manuscripts after Sinaiticus it's in the main body of text and so we can see in action the verse
00:10:26.520 being added to the manuscript and that verse that's added to the manuscript in this specific
00:10:32.880 example is the one uh where they're asking Jesus like how do they uh how do we remove hence uh to
00:10:39.720 yonder this place and it shall and it shall remove and nothing shall be impossible unto you and he
00:10:43.540 says how be at this kind go with go with not out but by prayer and fasting right yeah expelling
00:10:50.080 a certain type of demon demon right yeah strong with that what's the implication here that that
00:10:55.000 was removed or added that was that it was either never there or added as a footnote yeah what
00:11:01.380 exactly is being well well what he said was that in the book of mark those words are there about
00:11:07.740 prayer and fasting, but not in Matthew. So if I remember the clip correctly, because there were
00:11:13.940 a few clips that I looked at. So it looked like, I believe that was in Mark, it talked about prayer
00:11:17.980 and fasting is needed in order to cast out this more powerful demonic entity. But Matthew didn't
00:11:23.500 say that. But the scribes, the people who were translating it said, well, Matthew and Mark are
00:11:29.260 talking about the same incident or the same narrative. So let's just add what Mark said to
00:11:35.660 Matthew's gospel. So it's not a completely foreign thing being added in this case. It's
00:11:40.880 just went from one gospel to the next. And that was his point.
00:11:47.500 So what's being added is something that Jesus said specifically?
00:11:51.480 In this case, yes. But then you have the Mark 16, the last nine verses of Mark 16,
00:11:57.560 which come out of nowhere, which most scholars say was added in order to make it a little more
00:12:03.600 esoteric and a little more
00:12:06.000 on the supernatural side.

00:14:06.480 A message from QP 2484.
00:14:09.100 So a lot of Bibles won't have those last nine verses.
00:14:12.560 So that's interesting because what I'm trying to look at is the angle in which something has been added or taken away
00:14:20.560 that is integral to either salvation
00:14:23.300 or that contradicts or lessens a theme throughout scripture,
00:14:28.120 but I'm not sure that I'm seeing it.
00:14:29.940 Yeah, and I don't think you will.
00:14:31.640 Not in his clips.
00:14:32.480 I think he was being more academic.
00:14:34.220 I think there are other people who will say
00:14:35.500 that there were tremendous things that were taken out,
00:14:38.180 like Jesus saying that he was an alien
00:14:40.280 or something like Jesus was saying he was an ascended master
00:14:42.860 and the Council of Nicaea took that out
00:14:45.760 because they want to make Jesus less mystical.
00:14:48.280 Well, again, there's no basis for that.
00:14:50.560 And so when you take, when they say people, things were taken out of the Bible and let's say there were, I mean, I can't say I wasn't there, you know, 2000 years ago, but if it was, does it really matter?
00:15:01.820 Because going back to the analogy of the hologram, what happens if you take like a layer out of a hologram, you'll lose some resolution, but you won't lose the picture.
00:15:09.960 I mean, for example, let's say the entire book of Matthew was taken out of every Bible.
00:15:13.760 Like someone snapped their finger and Matthew went away.
00:15:15.960 Could you, could you still tell people the story of Jesus?
00:15:18.300 Yeah.
00:15:18.480 Because you have the other gospels.
00:15:19.380 You've got Paul's works.
00:15:20.860 You have the Old Testament prophecies.
00:15:23.200 You lose some resolution because Matthew put some very specific things in there about how Jesus fulfilled prophecies.
00:15:29.080 That's because Matthew was a Levite.
00:15:31.100 So he was really talking. 0.82
00:15:32.580 His audience was Jewish.
00:15:34.180 And so every time Jesus did something, he showed how it fulfilled an Old Testament scripture.
00:15:38.160 But you would still have the story.
00:15:41.120 I mean, if someone took all the Gospels out of the Bible, could you still tell them the story of Jesus?
00:15:45.900 Yeah, you have Paul and Romans talking about salvation.
00:15:48.660 You have the works of Peter.
00:15:49.920 You have, again, the Old Testament.
00:15:52.260 You would lose resolution, but you wouldn't lose the picture.
00:15:55.460 Right.
00:15:55.720 So if you took Revelation out of the Bible, you could still tell eschatology in the end times from Daniel, from the other apocalyptic books in the Old Testament.
00:16:03.700 Honestly, I would argue if you took everything out of the Bible except Genesis, I could still tell you the story of God's plan and his plan of salvation.
00:16:11.640 Now, you would lose a ton of resolution.
00:16:13.760 You'd lose a ton of depth.
00:16:15.600 But you could still tell the story.
00:16:17.620 And that's going back to the original point.
00:16:20.040 That's why the Bible was designed the way it was, because God anticipated there's going to be hostile forces out there that are going to try to alter my word.
00:16:28.420 But if you if no matter what you remove, no matter how much you remove, there's still is spread all the way throughout the entire Bible.
00:16:36.180 God's will is all the way out there.
00:16:37.700 I could tell the story of Jesus through the Exodus, you know, we never run in bondage, bondage to sin.
00:16:43.420 There was a Passover. You had to shed the blood of a lamb and then death passed over.
00:16:47.000 Then you were taken into the promised land.
00:16:48.900 That's an analogy for the gospel message.
00:16:52.340 My point is that it could go throughout the Bible.
00:16:54.220 Go ahead.
00:16:55.000 Even the hyssop, that's the story of, well, right before Exodus, right?
00:16:58.860 Where that's like, that's the material that's brought up to Jesus's mouth to feed him the
00:17:02.460 bitter wine.
00:17:03.400 And that's the same material that's used to paint the blood over the door.
00:17:06.000 It's tremendous.
00:17:08.080 Yeah.
00:17:08.320 So as you were saying before, Raven, everything, you see the same themes in the Bible over
00:17:13.480 and over again.
00:17:14.280 And I think that's one of the reasons why.
00:17:15.760 so that if you aren't able,
00:17:18.020 if someone were just to find a fragment of the Bible,
00:17:20.620 which, you know, a lot of people do,
00:17:21.780 like the Dead Sea Scrolls or whatever.
00:17:22.940 If you found a fragment, like, you know, 30% of the Bible,
00:17:25.920 you'd have what you need for salvation
00:17:28.140 and knowing the plan of God.
00:17:29.500 You wouldn't have everything, but you'd have enough.
00:17:32.380 That's interesting.
00:17:33.120 We're actually going through like A.W. Tozer
00:17:36.020 and these sermons are specifically his emphasis
00:17:39.380 on the Holy Spirit.
00:17:40.840 And one of the things that we covered
00:17:42.180 in that last lesson on straight Bibles,
00:17:43.820 very interesting stuff that like you're saying the resolution can be blurry but the main points
00:17:51.320 are always the same so the emphasis on jesus christ always being born that is the most important
00:17:55.840 thing that he is born at this moment and aw tozer even makes the example he's like you know
00:18:00.280 who knows but like which angels were even going to show up to sing it didn't matter right that's
00:18:06.420 actually a great like to even think uh that wide about the birth of christ like that the angels
00:18:12.120 yeah they do have a free will to go and show up and sing at the birth of of you know god made flesh
00:18:17.960 uh but who's to say who went and it wouldn't matter right it wouldn't matter either way
00:18:23.260 things to speculate and to talk about for interesting conversation pieces but you find
00:18:28.340 that within like certainly the gnostic communities and then you know within christianity these are
00:18:33.880 like divisive sort of topics that create you know a bunch of uh what would you call them uh denomination
00:18:40.500 denomination yeah well just the reason why that and the nomination is a good point the reason why
00:18:44.840 i was like uh kind of weary about this dude is because i have read a little bit about him and
00:18:48.860 i heard that he's a former mormon i don't even know interesting okay so i i don't know which
00:18:54.200 angle he's coming at uh with this and he's talking to joe rogan so whenever i see someone talking to
00:18:59.480 joe rogan about anything christian or stuff like that i'm like okay what are you saying because
00:19:03.620 this is a big platform and this kind of matters and what i saw from this dude was all about like
00:19:09.560 you know the hidden things of scripture the missing things of the bible i'm like are you
00:19:14.060 trying to just poke tiny holes for like a a later storm or what are you doing yeah yeah that's why
00:19:19.380 i said the first thing i always ask is what's their agenda what are they trying to and if this
00:19:22.660 guy's agenda because again i with the just based on the clips that i saw i didn't see one over but
00:19:26.940 if there might have been because one of the things that you that you see a lot of people do when they
00:19:32.080 are saying you know the bible these things are hidden or or you can't understand it i was listening
00:19:36.720 to an episode of the thing was the higher side chats um and he had a guy on there who was one
00:19:42.900 of our friends in the orthodox church or he he recently converted to orthodoxy from some kind
00:19:47.800 he was he was sort of in the mystic mystic world he was trying to figure things out and he was
00:19:51.600 you know into the new age whatnot or and and he he he wanted to become a christian but he didn't like
00:19:56.440 protestant churches and but then he found the orthodox church and now he feels that you know
00:20:01.360 that's that's the place to be why must be an easy transition exactly because because he didn't want
00:20:08.160 to take the bible literally and he said he wanted to stay into the in the mystic world and he found
00:20:11.900 that the orthodox traditions um made it more what was were closer to the mysticism and not taking
00:20:20.740 everything literally it's almost even less about the mysticism and just more about this idea that
00:20:25.440 like intellectualism is at the core of it and that's really what's at the core of like the
00:20:30.020 mysticism and the occult practices is like through hidden knowledge, you can access higher planes of
00:20:35.940 existence, or you can elevate yourself in one way or another. And when it becomes self-serving in
00:20:41.160 that way, when it's a pursuit of intellect and wisdom, then if you can find yourself in something
00:20:46.460 that is biblical, but also has that scaffolding of intellect and wisdom, and you can climb this
00:20:52.440 ladder, which is why they all use that, right? There is like that occult knowledge that is
00:20:56.440 promised by uh the orthodox we had somebody in the in the coffee shop and matt was talking to her
00:21:02.500 and she was a former witch or like dabbled in witchcraft and now she's like but you know now
00:21:09.100 i'm following christianity and uh i'm i'm orthodox and matt just asked her because he's very blunt
00:21:15.520 he's like you think there's any correlation between your former witchcraft behavior and
00:21:21.120 you going into the orthodox church like is that like an easier jump for you and the girl was like
00:21:25.500 yeah kind of i'm watching the conversation like yeah yeah well this this guy was the same way
00:21:31.760 because one of the things he said which which kind of you know got my spidey sense going because i
00:21:35.500 was listening because i was just curious as to how he goes from being according to his own words he
00:21:39.440 was practicing chaos magic he was exploring he was trying to find out truth which i totally
00:21:43.060 understand and i appreciate you're trying to find truth you don't know where it is so you're
00:21:46.980 dabbling in everything but then he said you know he was talking about the book of revelation
00:21:51.060 and how, you know, he's obviously just like the other orthodox.
00:21:55.260 They're not into mainstream Christian eschatology.
00:21:57.820 They have their own issues about, you know, who the Antichrist is
00:22:01.120 or if it's already happened or if it's just not literal.
00:22:04.520 And that's what he went into.
00:22:05.400 And he said, you know, these dispensationalists,
00:22:07.880 we talked about that the last time I was on,
00:22:09.420 because I'm like, okay, here we go.
00:22:12.120 Dispensationalists aren't bad guys now
00:22:13.520 or anyone who believes in the stewardship that Paul talked about.
00:22:15.980 Anyway, you can go to the last episode I was on to see more about that.
00:22:18.900 But what he said was, you know, the book of Revelation was never meant to be understood.
00:22:23.700 Like, okay, spidey sense tingling.
00:22:25.760 Oh, so the Bible's not meant to be understood, huh?
00:22:27.940 No, it's not.
00:22:28.620 It's just, it's not meant to be taken literally.
00:22:30.520 It's just, it's just this metaphor for the entire battle of good versus evil.
00:22:35.440 So then what's the whole point of it?
00:22:36.960 But so you can't understand it.
00:22:38.700 Oh, who can't?
00:22:39.320 Oh, well, Father so-and-so can explain it to you.
00:22:42.400 Okay, I see where you're going.
00:22:44.020 So it was never meant to be understood.
00:22:45.860 The Bible's hard.
00:22:47.140 You can't understand it.
00:22:48.000 It's too difficult.
00:22:48.900 Let these guys in robes tell you what it really means.
00:22:51.380 Okay.
00:22:52.260 Gotcha.
00:22:53.400 Yeah.
00:22:53.920 So God gave you an information source that you were not meant to understand.
00:22:57.800 Oh, that sounds like something a righteous and just God would do.
00:23:00.780 Here's a book for you, but you can't understand it.
00:23:03.360 Mm-hmm.
00:23:03.920 Nice.
00:23:04.600 But we do have a guy that can understand it, which is confusing.
00:23:07.360 Right.
00:23:08.160 And for the low, low price of $49.99.
00:23:10.760 Yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:23:11.540 He can tell you what it means.
00:23:12.560 That's not really a baptism fee.
00:23:13.500 That's just a Bible.
00:23:14.340 There's another clip that I don't think I got to send it to you in time.
00:23:18.900 in that email but uh he's discussing with rogan the idea of hell i hope i have the correct one
00:23:24.280 pulled up okay yeah i saw some stuff on hell but yeah go ahead let's see um yeah it seemed like
00:23:28.400 rogan you know rogan's very much like so like people are like scared like is that why you know
00:23:33.320 they're gonna burn in hell so that like that's why they should he's asking these kind of like
00:23:36.660 lead-in questions which rogan does and the guy explains the idea of hell what do you think about 0.77

00:25:11.600 So, when we get to hell in the New Testament, scholars suggest there are three different
00:25:35.680 ideas about post-mortem divine punishment that seem to be represented there.
00:25:40.200 one is annihilation that the wicked just cease to exist one is temporary conscious torment followed
00:25:47.640 by either salvation or annihilation so you go somewhere you're punished for a little bit and
00:25:53.560 then you cease to exist or you go somewhere you're punished for a little bit you've paid your price
00:25:57.160 you now go on to salvation and then the third idea is eternal conscious torment which is where you
00:26:02.600 are tortured forever now in in my opinion and there are scholars who have done a lot more work
00:26:09.000 on the development of the concept of hell than I have. Candida Moss is a wonderful example. But
00:26:14.220 in my opinion, hell originally developed as a way to feel good about the fact that these
00:26:20.360 huge empires and these wicked emperors, they're going to get theirs. So I think that hell probably
00:26:26.680 initially developed as a way to feel like God's justice is going to have its day on the truly
00:26:35.180 wicked people of the world but the distance between your average judean and hell probably
00:26:44.040 got smaller and smaller over time because the threat of hell became a useful stick and 0.85
00:26:51.080 in the hands of people who wanted to influence behavior
00:26:54.320 yeah well there are a few problems with what i don't know these scholars are you talking about
00:27:04.200 but I'm sure you can find anyone who calls themselves a scholar who can promote anything.
00:27:08.400 But first of all, annihilation of the spirit is not, first of all, it's not talked about in the Bible at all,
00:27:14.420 nor is it even metaphysical, if you take metaphysically possible, because our spirits don't have, are not physical.
00:27:22.060 What you are, the real you is consciousness.
00:27:25.040 It's information and it's eternal.
00:27:26.920 It doesn't have a weight.
00:27:28.140 Because time affects and is affected by things that have mass acceleration and gravity.
00:27:34.200 So our spirits do not have mass.
00:27:37.700 Therefore, they are eternal.
00:27:38.720 You are an eternal being, whether you like it or not.
00:27:40.120 So there is no annihilation, not in the Bible and not metaphysically.
00:27:45.040 So that's completely out.
00:27:46.400 The Bible never teaches annihilation.
00:27:47.580 Whenever it talks about anything, be it the heavenly realms or the realms apart from God,
00:27:52.620 hell, Gehenna, it always uses words like everlasting or without end.
00:27:57.520 And those words mean perpetual.
00:27:59.040 It means it's not going to end.
00:28:00.320 So there's no escape hatch.
00:28:01.840 There's no annihilation.
00:28:02.680 That will be comforting, I guess, if you're a bad person. 0.73
00:28:05.440 And you say, okay, I can do my bad life and I'll just go poof at the end.
00:28:09.940 How many atheists love that because there's no accountability for anything they do.
00:28:13.400 The Bible doesn't teach that at all.
00:28:15.080 And this idea of you pay for your sins, you're tormented for a while, then you go to salvation.
00:28:21.680 Well, then that's a problem as well because that contradicts the Bible.
00:28:25.080 The Bible says the wages of sin are death.
00:28:26.840 The wages of sin are not, well, you get tortured for 45 days and then you're cool.
00:28:32.060 No, it's binary.
00:28:34.280 You either have life or you have death.
00:28:37.360 There is no amount that you can pay for on your own
00:28:40.600 that is going to pay for your,
00:28:43.600 you can't pay for your own sins.
00:28:44.860 There's no amount.
00:28:46.040 And that, I mean, then you get into things like,
00:28:47.560 you know, the Catholic doctrine of purgatory.
00:28:50.860 And again, if you can pay for your own sins,
00:28:53.040 then what did Jesus die for?
00:28:55.360 What did Jesus mean when he said,
00:28:56.640 it is finished to tell us I paid in full.
00:28:58.320 He paid for it.
00:28:58.940 But let's say, okay, I didn't accept Jesus.
00:29:00.600 I can still pay for my own sins.
00:29:02.540 Again, that's an issue.
00:29:04.260 It's not, not only is it not biblically supported,
00:29:06.500 I think it contradicts the Bible directly.
00:29:09.220 But the reason, I think we've talked about hell before
00:29:11.600 a few times, especially in the Revelation series,
00:29:13.940 because I understand the issue that people have
00:29:15.960 that Rogan has with this idea of being on fire forever,
00:29:19.100 because that's painful.
00:29:20.760 I mean, have you ever been burned?
00:29:22.520 That, if you touch a hot skillet for like two seconds,
00:29:25.620 that's agony.
00:29:27.480 And it doesn't seem like that would be something
00:29:29.120 a just God would do.
00:29:30.600 to anyone who decides they didn't want to be in his presence but you have to remember that
00:29:36.900 no one in heaven is going to have a body it's not our bodies are not thrown into into hell and we
00:29:42.540 are just on fire in our flesh and blood there it there is no flesh and blood in the afterlife it's 0.51
00:29:48.180 all gone when you get to the to the great white throne judgment which is when the people who are
00:29:53.620 the unrighteous dead stand before god and they are judged according to their works they are not in
00:29:59.100 physical bodies they are spirits so in order to understand or in order to tell me that
00:30:05.340 you're going this is the amount of pain you will feel spiritually forever you're going to have to
00:30:09.660 make me you're going to have to convince me that you understand the physics of the spiritual world
00:30:13.740 so it's not going to be that type of torture the what you what it will be it will be
00:30:19.100 torment but the torment is going to be that you're separated from god you are not going to be what
00:30:23.340 you were intended to be as a human being we were intent god's plan for us was to spend eternity
00:30:28.140 with him being who we are and, and growing with him and being in that state of perpetual joy with
00:30:34.520 him. I think the torment of hell, the torment of separation from God is knowing that you're
00:30:38.900 going to spend eternity, not being what you were meant to be by your own choice.
00:30:44.540 It's weird because listening to that clip, it sounds like he's trying to say that there's no
00:30:48.280 real like concrete evidence for hell or something like that in scripture.
00:30:51.820 Oh yeah, I guess, but, but that's like what he was saying. He was, he was saying like,
00:30:55.140 oh it seems more like a device to kind of get people to behave but there is there is like
00:30:59.940 so in matthew 10 28 it says and fear not them which kill the body but are not able to kill the
00:31:07.120 soul but rather fear him which is able to destroy both the body and soul in hell and if you look up
00:31:13.860 the original translation for hell it is gehenna and the the definition of uh gehenna seems pretty
00:31:20.340 straightforward so uh hell it says hell yeah it says uh a valley in jerusalem used figuratively
00:31:27.500 right because gehenna is also a place a physical place uh jerusalem but used figuratively as a
00:31:33.660 name for the place or state of everlasting punishment hell but isn't that isn't that
00:31:39.100 then tossed into the fire it is yeah well well yeah gehenna was basically a trash heap that
00:31:43.700 was always burning and right yeah it was just metaphorically because yeah that fire never went
00:31:47.560 because people are always dumping trash into the fire so so yeah it is that you're you're it's yeah
00:31:53.080 it is an eternal punishment but is it going to feel like your flesh being on fire i i can't see
00:31:59.720 why it would if you don't have flesh so but i think it may be the equivalent of feeling that way
00:32:06.120 but you know the but i mean i but to directly equate it to how we feel when you're burning
00:32:12.440 well i don't know about that so are you are you saying then like because they're using the term
00:32:16.840 Gehenna and Gehenna is like a garbage pit where they're where they're constantly burning stuff
00:32:21.520 they're they're using that term more is not not like a fiery place but more of like a place of
00:32:27.800 just discarded like where you put your trash that nobody looks has a second thought about
00:32:33.200 it's discarded is perpetual it's not going to end right maybe I think that's really that it's a
00:32:38.280 place where only death is like there's only death there nothing is good nothing is is full of life
00:32:44.260 Nothing is coming to life in there.
00:32:46.200 Only death is in this place.
00:32:47.780 Right.
00:32:48.460 Now, if you remember the parable that Jesus gave, remember, Jesus was speaking to Old
00:32:53.480 Testament, what we call Old Testament believing Jewish Israelites at this point.
00:32:57.320 It's Puerto Rico. 0.72
00:32:58.160 Puerto Rico.
00:32:58.900 Yep.
00:33:00.360 Puerto Rico is dead. 0.91
00:33:04.420 So Jesus was not talking to born again Christians. 0.90
00:33:07.860 There weren't any until the book of Acts.
00:33:09.460 He was speaking to Israelites who were under the law, under the Torah and Tanakh.
00:33:14.260 and and he was talking about something that they understood he gave the parable of of the rich man
00:33:19.080 and lazarus and and you know they both died and the and lazarus who went into a pair of a
00:33:25.980 compartment of hades called abraham's bosom which was called paradise he was still dead
00:33:30.900 and the other the rich man goes into the bad part of hades where he was in some time he was he was
00:33:37.600 in pain but he was he was he could talk so it wasn't if you ever seen anyone on fire they're
00:33:42.860 having a conversation they're screaming because they're in in pain so whatever this guy was
00:33:46.940 feeling it was uncomfortable because he tells you know he says have have lazarus go and tell my
00:33:51.180 brothers to you know not to come to this place and abraham said hey they didn't believe if your
00:33:56.060 brothers didn't believe you know me or the prophet you're not going to believe lazar lazarus but if
00:33:59.500 i send him back so the point is he was in a state of some kind of discomfort but it was he but he
00:34:05.100 had the ability to reach to think to reason to make a conversation to think about his brothers
00:34:10.620 who he didn't want to be in this type of torment so he was in torment but it was a but it but it
00:34:15.100 was a certain kind of a torment um the point is that the israelites understood this so they had
00:34:21.260 a concept of some type of punishment in the afterlife because a lot of people say well you
00:34:26.620 know the when i say a lot of people i think a lot of people with an agenda will say we know the term
00:34:30.860 hell is not in the old testament it's something that the new testament people invented in order
00:34:34.860 as this guy said, to scare people and to keep them in line. Well, if that's the case, then why
00:34:40.740 did these Old Testament believing Israelites have no problem understanding this concept of Hades
00:34:47.620 that Jesus presented to them? Yeah. Even David, when he's talking about his son that died and 0.80
00:34:55.620 he doesn't mourn for it afterward, he's like, I know where I'm going. So yeah, there is that
00:35:00.480 concept of like, I'm going to see you because I think he prays, he prays for his son, son dies,
00:35:06.700 but he knows that his son's with God. And he's like, I'm going to go with God, which presents
00:35:10.040 the alternative that there is somewhere else that's not with God. But with that parable with
00:35:16.000 Lazarus and the rich man, I think the rich man, I might be wrong here, but what he's describing
00:35:21.760 as the discomfort is like thirst, right? He's asking for a drink. Yeah. And you know how that,
00:35:27.400 how that correlates to the the demons jesus said when when when a demon goes it's cast out of a
00:35:34.300 person they go they go through dry areas oh looking yeah so they're basically suffering
00:35:40.760 that same type of punishment that's interesting that's why they want to possess you and they
00:35:45.300 want to engage in all these like sins of the flesh in order to quench the various thirsts
00:35:49.780 that they have but never can be quenched without a physical body right interesting too is like the
00:35:53.380 drop of water that he wants is like uh like now we're talking about what are we saying like the
00:35:57.700 living waters is that what like the drop of water being god and your separation from him is so strong
00:36:03.020 that you just want to drop and it's like well sorry man it could be that or it could it could
00:36:07.700 be that he's just physically he's a spirit being now he can't experience the he can't experience
00:36:12.400 any kind of physical sensation he just i just want to taste what water is like because i haven't
00:36:15.680 tasted water in so long that could be it too i'm not gonna be dogmatic about this so in top you
00:36:20.000 be completely right he could be speaking metaphorically maybe he just wants just a drop of
00:36:24.080 goodness or maybe he's being literal maybe he just has no ability to have sensation now imagine what
00:36:29.280 kind of torture that would be if you have this if you if people in hell experience the same torture
00:36:34.480 that the demons are experiencing now you have all the desires of the flesh and no ability to satisfy
00:36:40.240 you're hungry you're thirsty you're horny you can't right you can't do anything that's torture
00:36:45.760 it's not you're not on fire torture but it's torture yeah like the mr whatever something
00:36:51.240 metal they will wish for death but will not be able to find it is uh the same kind of thing right
00:36:56.800 and i don't know i don't know i've never i haven't even i haven't made that correlation but
00:37:00.340 it doesn't mean it's invalid but i haven't heard that before but you know i wouldn't dismiss it
00:37:05.480 people's uh main pushback against the concept of hell probably has a lot more to do with the idea
00:37:11.060 that they don't want to be they're burdened with the knowledge of the things that they've done
00:37:14.960 and the fact that they are sinful in their nature and they don't want to have to suffer any
00:37:19.300 consequences for that um yeah i mean to me it just seems pretty straightforward right there
00:37:25.820 that there's uh there's a basis for hell right in matthew and i'm sure you go through all
00:37:32.240 throughout scripture you can find multiple instances yeah well one of the things rogan
00:37:35.980 said um i don't know if it was in the clip you play top or or another one you sent me

00:39:10.360 factormeals.ca. Factor, Canada's number one meal delivery service. Well, yeah, basically what he
00:39:16.760 said was, you know, how is it fair for God to send someone to hell forever, you know, even though
00:39:23.240 they were they were a good person and they they you know they did some good things and yeah
00:39:26.760 it's not about how good you do you say it's also about operating from the premise that we're good
00:39:31.960 people exactly and and you you aren't you don't no one's going to go to hell because they were
00:39:37.720 a bad person they're going to go to hell because they didn't accept god's invitation to heaven
00:39:41.960 that's really the bottom line is i i we all do bad things we all do good and bad yeah so it's not
00:39:48.220 it's not a matter of that you're none of us you're in heaven because you're here to the law
00:39:51.980 I mean, not just that, like the Bible specifically says that none of us are good in general.
00:39:56.460 Exactly. Yeah. None of us lived a life that Jesus was capable of living.
00:40:01.200 None of us would have been able to cut it if we were under the law still.
00:40:05.160 So our entire idea of what is good really is based off of Western cultural values.
00:40:13.480 You know, that's the background that you superimpose your goodness against is what you observe in the world.
00:40:19.380 And that's your bar for good.
00:40:21.140 it's it's so unfortunate right because like rogan i again i don't know what kind of conversation
00:40:25.440 he's trying to actually have here and you know the grind of when you got like i don't know maybe
00:40:29.400 he's got five guests a week or something like that they're rolling through he's doing ufc he's
00:40:32.520 doing stand-up comedy he's whatever other stuff you're rogan's doing laying in his in his coffin
00:40:36.840 um and you got this guy come through and he's just kind of like giving you this like
00:40:41.320 cookie cutter response or answer back to the guy but it feeds into this uh what do you call that
00:40:48.100 like this demi-urge sort of gnostic it can it can lean toward that because you're talking to
00:40:53.460 such a broad audience yeah you're not yeah being specific or not it's man that's like what i was
00:40:59.440 saying we just had andrew jones on andrew jones is is uh over in turkey and he is working on the
00:41:05.500 site that they think might be uh noah's ark i saw that yeah what's fascinating about that is
00:41:10.660 let's say that it is noah's ark and let's say that it is proven you know beyond a shadow of a 0.81
00:41:15.480 doubt that this is the case all it does then is is get rid of the atheist and then the gnostics are 0.93
00:41:20.020 left with okay so god is real but he destroyed the world in a flood therefore he's evil and i'm
00:41:26.980 still okay in my position you know what i mean you know uh you know it'd be fascinating to see
00:41:31.220 how that turns out that's like that's a good transition into the other part because we talked
00:41:35.140 about you know taking things out of the bible and and what that means and as long as it's not
00:41:38.780 something raven you said earlier as long as if you're taking taking out the parts about salvation
00:41:42.680 if this if these pieces that that are out don't affect like the salvation message you know whatever
00:41:47.880 it takes away resolution but so what you know we still have the main message but when you add things
00:41:52.760 to the bible that's different um because you have to ask yourself what's been added and how do i know
00:41:58.280 it's legitimate and this is kind of the whole purpose of what i do with faith by reason is i
00:42:03.480 want to help people understand god better i want to enhance people's relationship with god and the
00:42:07.720 main reason for well one of the main reasons for that is that the better you know god the less
00:42:11.800 you're going to be fooled by anything or anyone who says something about god that's not true oh
00:42:16.200 there we go so yeah it's gonna look better soon folks i'm working on improving the site but yeah
00:42:22.040 that is that is on my site faithbyreason.net that's where you'll find all my material uh
00:42:27.080 including the spiritual warfare course and my meditations my night meditations as part of the
00:42:32.520 spiritual warfare um course my books are all there and it's just everything i've been doing for
00:42:37.960 for the last 15 years it's all there and um also there's my patreon if you go to patreon.com
00:42:46.120 slash faith by reason um i'm putting that's where all my new material drops first so yeah become a
00:42:51.360 member there you get all my new material first i just just dropped that q a on the seed war which
00:42:56.700 maybe we can talk about if we have time oh yeah and um genesis series revelation series q a's
00:43:02.540 my bible study where we go through the entire bible in in 12 months from the supernatural
00:43:07.780 point of view so yeah there's plenty of stuff there for you and you know the spiritual warfare
00:43:13.180 course i just want to say one more thing about that is one of the things that we found really
00:43:17.680 valuable that the students are finding valuable is the community because you know we made our
00:43:21.940 the message board and the community a part of it but when john and i were we're promoting the
00:43:25.700 course we're talking about you how you can walk in authority and have a spiritual victory but
00:43:29.580 what people are really liking is that they're able to have community with other like-minded people.
00:43:34.620 You know, I know that's, it's really big with, with, with Nephilim death squad, you have your, 1.00
00:43:38.500 your dangerous retard communities, but we have a community, we have community here, people who are 1.00
00:43:42.940 sharing their stories and are growing and John and I are on those message boards daily, listening 0.99
00:43:48.640 and answering questions. So you can, we can't do this fight alone and having a community of people
00:43:54.580 who can share within your struggles and give you advice and pray with you has really been one of
00:44:00.280 the things that people have really, really enjoyed about this course. So I just wanted to throw that
00:44:04.660 out there as well. In addition to learning how to walk in victory that you already have in Christ
00:44:08.520 and taking care of things like your triggers and spiritual strongholds and generational curses
00:44:14.580 and all the stuff we get into, you're also going to be plugged into a community of people who are
00:44:19.880 learning what you're learning and are going to be able to help you in your growth and in your walk
00:44:24.500 with god actually yeah man i'm i'm super excited that you're doing that man and i'm happy that
00:44:29.760 that's everything's going along with you going along well with you but i did see this on your
00:44:34.460 patreon uh i kind of want to talk about that okay it's the seed war biblical this is like genesis
00:44:39.800 315 we're talking about like la marzulli stuff uh some of it you know what man because it does
00:44:45.920 get into weird alien stuff sometimes and it can get a little far from the bible but i'm interested
00:44:51.480 to hear what hear your take on this like where are you going with that yeah so the seed war
00:44:58.000 here's what i hear a lot of people say about the seed war when they talk about it
00:45:02.640 they break it down into like two different like genetic lines a bloodline of jesus a bloodline
00:45:08.520 results in jesus and the bloodline of of the servant of the nakash of satan so um the idea
00:45:15.840 of the seed, what comes from Genesis, like I said, Genesis 15, where after original sin, 0.98
00:45:21.020 where God judges the man, the woman, and the kosh, he says to the kosh, I will put enmity 0.99
00:45:26.320 between you and the woman, between your seed and her seed, and you will bruise his heel 1.00
00:45:32.360 and he will crush your head.
00:45:33.580 So we know that this seed is Jesus. 0.99
00:45:36.800 Jesus is the one who crushes the head, the plans of the nakosh, but he bruises his heel, 0.98
00:45:41.400 meaning he wounds Jesus, but Jesus ends up having complete victory over him. 0.96
00:45:45.840 And so the idea of a seed war is that the seed of the woman is, is, is a specific bloodline
00:45:52.180 of itself in Jesus.
00:45:52.940 You know, it starts with Eve, then it starts to narrow down.
00:45:56.940 And then it goes to Abraham when, you know, well, first it goes to Eve, then it goes to
00:46:00.460 Noah, because Noah's the, his family are the only survivors of the flood.
00:46:03.720 Then from Noah, his sons, you know, his three sons are the progenitors of all the rest of
00:46:07.800 us, but the specifics on through Shem, you get Abraham.
00:46:11.500 And then God says, you know, through Abraham, he's going to, he's going to, all the world
00:46:15.060 will be blessed through Abraham's progeny, his children. Then it narrows down more to his
00:46:19.780 grandson, Jacob, who was the progenitor of his 12 sons. His 12 sons were the 12 tribes of Israel.
00:46:26.560 Then it narrows more when his son, Judah, was the royal line because the Messiah was going to be
00:46:34.480 a priest and a king. And then it gets down to David because David is the first king of the 0.61
00:46:41.140 the Judaic line. And then it goes all the way through Mary and Joseph, both of whom are physical
00:46:45.220 descendants of David. Joseph, his legal father, was through the royal line, through Solomon.
00:46:52.700 And Mary was through David's second son, Nathan. So they were both of the lineage. Then you have
00:46:59.260 Jesus born. So there's the holy line. But then apparently there's also a line of Satan. Apparently
00:47:04.340 Satan's father children. And these children are a bloodline and they've been in opposition.
00:47:11.140 to the bloodline of Jesus
00:47:13.500 and you've been going back and forth
00:47:14.800 and that ultimate expression of the bloodline of Satan
00:47:17.620 will be the Antichrist.
00:47:19.780 Okay, the issue with this is that it actually,
00:47:23.500 as I explained it, that's not biblical.
00:47:26.540 Reason number one is that Jesus is not
00:47:29.660 a physical descendant of anyone.
00:47:33.700 Jesus does not have any genetic material of Mary,
00:47:36.320 obviously not Joseph, that wasn't his biological father.
00:47:38.980 Even Mary who gave birth to him,
00:47:40.700 He doesn't have any of her DNA. 0.69
00:47:42.240 Jesus was created like Adam, ex nihilo, out of nothing.
00:47:45.480 The Holy Spirit created the embryo that was Jesus in Mary's womb, not with any input from Mary.
00:47:51.500 So, yes, you can talk about Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and David, and Solomon, and all that.
00:47:56.520 So that gives Jesus the legal authority to be the king, but no genetics there.
00:48:02.280 So there is no bloodline of Jesus.
00:48:05.680 And secondly, as far as there being a bloodline of Satan, maybe.
00:48:09.540 But the Bible never says that Satan directly fathers any children.
00:48:13.660 That's not to say he didn't.
00:48:14.660 He could have.
00:48:15.760 But you're getting that through speculation, not from the Bible.
00:48:19.040 People are, I think they're conflating the spiritual with the physical.
00:48:22.820 Because both of those seeds are singular.
00:48:24.880 The seed of the woman is Jesus. 0.81
00:48:27.160 And it's speaking specifically to Jesus. 0.85
00:48:28.940 Why?
00:48:29.120 Because the seed does not come from a woman. 0.94
00:48:32.260 the seed the sperm the semen comes from a male so the idea of the seed of the woman is a is an
00:48:37.940 idiom for the virgin birth so because again the woman doesn't have a seed that's the male thing
00:48:44.460 so what that's saying is that the seed of the woman is a title of jesus there's not a seed line
00:48:48.160 there is a one there's one seed so why do we assume that there is a seed line of satan if god
00:48:53.640 is speaking about this seed versus this seed he's speaking of individuals jesus antichrist two
00:48:58.680 people not two bloodlines two individuals this is a woman see the serpent go ahead yeah it gets
00:49:04.860 into weird stuff i've heard uh um doc brown from prometheus lens i think he's one of the guys that 0.86
00:49:10.180 talks about like uh possibly drinking menstrual oh well yeah that's fun oh god that's disgusting 0.99
00:49:17.040 okay eve having sex with satan and then oh yeah sexual there's a sexual sin to that connotation 0.99
00:49:24.420 was Satan locked her body yeah and then and then it gets into weird uh what is that called 0.98
00:49:31.620 uh Kabbalistic beliefs is that where we get uh Lilith from well I mean the whole Lilith thing
00:49:38.460 gets really convoluted but you also get like the Gnostic Sophia thing like it's just all kinds of
00:49:43.880 bloodline conspiracies but I think even scripture talks about a time that will come while they were
00:49:50.040 argue about lineages or or bloodlines or something like that um i could be misremembering it but
00:49:56.700 yeah yeah i mean that's where a lot of that stuff comes from is the the transgression was of a
00:50:01.220 sexual nature right i think we talked about that before but that basically eating of the eating of
00:50:05.700 the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil was an idiom for sex right well that's
00:50:10.460 a problem first of all because you're you're you're you're using modern uh euphemisms you
00:50:17.180 the forbidden fruit you know the eating of the of her that's something that we use common that was
00:50:21.340 not an idiom in ancient hebrew eating fruit was not an idiom of for for sexuality back then so
00:50:28.380 that wouldn't that wouldn't be something that god would communicate to ancient israelites secondly
00:50:33.420 god said you can eat of the tree of all the fruits the fruit of the tree of all of the ones in the 0.80
00:50:37.340 garden except for this one so if if eating a fruit is an idiom for sex then god is basically of sex 0.91
00:50:42.060 with an angel or sex with a spiritual being god was basically saying you can have sex with any 0.99
00:50:46.380 of the angels in in the garden but not satan not nothing to gosh that's actually a really great 1.00
00:50:53.340 point super stinky oh no that's always like you can bang any angel you want and i guess adam too 0.66
00:50:59.660 i guess adam could you know take it in the rear from any angel whatever or vice versa maybe he 0.87
00:51:03.260 was a catcher or nothing maybe he was a pitcher not the catcher i don't know but but if you if
00:51:06.540 you take that idiom that way but then it doesn't make sense and if you like sodom and gomorrah
00:51:11.180 well yeah really right yeah but i mean that's that's a great simple way to sort of dispel that
00:51:15.900 because it does it's what once again it's like the the intellect and wisdom of man we want to
00:51:20.020 think that we're privy to some shit in our 120 years on earth that people around us aren't privy
00:51:26.280 to whatsoever and there is some of that like you can know some things that the average sleeper 0.83
00:51:30.680 isn't aware of uh but that kind of becomes this addictive quality a lot of people i find in that
00:51:36.300 space especially within gnosticism um are these like high intellectuals but but low in all other
00:51:43.720 attributes and in other words like didn't have success in one form or another leaned on their
00:51:49.020 own intellect and then what do you know before it's it's out they're warring against god because
00:51:53.860 he's the demiurge so yeah a lot of things but but a simple question is like okay so god said you
00:51:59.020 could have sex with any of the angels it's okay to ask i think it's okay to ask it's okay it's not
00:52:03.920 okay to uh declare it as the you know the rightful and illusion which i don't think right yeah well
00:52:10.160 it's just it's no problem diving into theories but you have to take that theory to its logical
00:52:14.780 conclusion and as you said if eating of a fruit is an idiom for sex then you have to take it okay
00:52:19.380 then then it has to apply everywhere in that same narrative and again that's when it starts to fall
00:52:23.320 apart yeah so yeah theories come can come and go but once you examine them then you need to see how
00:52:27.960 valid they are and going back to the idea of this of the seed war being spiritual because one of
00:52:33.200 some of the pushback i got from people on this was there they were saying well what about when
00:52:36.900 Jesus tells the Pharisees that you are of your father, the devil.

00:54:11.000 Well, he's speaking spiritually. 0.98
00:54:12.640 He's not saying that all the Pharisees' mothers had sex with Satan and he's their father. 0.99
00:54:17.960 No, he was speaking, you are of your father the devil because you were acting like him. 0.99
00:54:22.180 Jesus says he was a murderer from the beginning, just like you guys are. 0.96
00:54:26.380 Also keep in mind that when you become a Christian, you are called a son of God.
00:54:30.720 He says, to as many as believed in Jesus, to them gave he power to become the sons of God.
00:54:34.640 That doesn't mean that God banged my mother and now I'm a son of God.
00:54:39.040 No, I'm a son of God spiritually, not physically.
00:54:42.600 Yeah.
00:54:42.900 He tells Peter.
00:54:43.880 And the Pharisees were spiritual sons of Satan.
00:54:45.920 I'm sorry. 0.92
00:54:46.520 He told Peter, get behind me, Satan. 0.96
00:54:49.080 He looked at Judas and I mean, he might've been right. 0.99
00:54:52.020 He's like, yo, devil's in you, dog. 0.54
00:54:53.940 Go do what you can. 0.74
00:54:54.800 Yeah.
00:54:55.260 I don't know if you saw that.
00:54:56.020 no no with that said i have no problem believing that the actual the antichrist and there may be a
00:55:00.660 series of antichrists you've talked about this before because you know the devil doesn't know
00:55:03.540 when the eschatological end is going to happen so i think he's had someone in the ready all the all
00:55:09.460 throughout history you know and could it be that satan has sired children i think it's possible
00:55:15.780 if not probable but again yes it's not in the bible and it in there and it doesn't talk the
00:55:21.780 The Bible does not speak about these particular physical descendants of Satan having this war.
00:55:27.800 And the term seed war is Christianese.
00:55:29.720 It's not even in the Bible per se.
00:55:30.940 You won't find that phrasing in the Bible.
00:55:32.580 Now, you will find, and where I will actually acquiesce to genealogy, is the actual Nephilim.
00:55:40.760 You know, the original angels who fell and they produced offspring and also happened after that.
00:55:46.040 And I do believe that a lot of these bloodlines that we see today are real.
00:55:50.660 i do believe you know that what la marzulli and gary wayne talk about where a lot of these royals
00:55:56.660 or as gary wayne calls them royales with his with his his lovely canadian accent they know i think
00:56:02.900 they literally have nephelin blood in them uh queen elizabeth before she you know she's passed
00:56:08.180 away and she said that she could trace her bloodline all the way all the way back to the
00:56:12.740 sumerians and sumerian gods and i don't think she was joking i think that literally these royal lines
00:56:18.260 It wasn't long ago that somebody from the royal family made the claim they could trace
00:56:22.380 it back to Vlad the Impaler.
00:56:24.180 Yeah, that was Brad Duff.
00:56:25.340 And Vlad the Impaler also has that through line.
00:56:26.940 Yeah, yeah, exactly.
00:56:27.940 So it's all connected.
00:56:29.380 But yeah, they're 100% obsessed with maintaining their genealogy.
00:56:34.200 So yeah, there is a huge element of that. 0.98
00:56:36.420 I just think it's a fool's errand.
00:56:38.200 A little aside, so speaking of Gary Wayne, did you decide yet?
00:56:41.660 Are you going to be at Truth or Con?
00:56:43.760 Truth or Con, Con, Con?
00:56:46.060 I'm about 80% there.
00:56:48.260 Um, cause I'm still, I'm, I was just talking email when the other day with, with, um, with,
00:56:53.320 with, uh, with, uh, young Mr. Skiba's wife, Jeremiah's wife, um, about Lindsay.
00:56:58.440 Yeah.
00:56:58.780 Lindsay.
00:56:59.080 Yes.
00:56:59.380 She's wonderful.
00:56:59.960 Thank you for that.
00:57:00.660 Yeah.
00:57:00.940 We were just talking about what kind of, what, um, topics for a panel.
00:57:03.920 So if my panel gets approved and she wants me on the panel, then yeah, I'll go.
00:57:07.120 But it's, it's sounding positive.
00:57:08.740 I'll tell you what, Ed, if it doesn't get approved, come anyway and take my spot.
00:57:12.200 I don't really care.
00:57:13.380 Uh, just come, come and hang out.
00:57:15.000 You could, you could sit as a second seat.
00:57:16.860 forward to seeing uh elijah schaefer in a drunken stupor uh mumbling nonsense it's gonna be a lot

00:58:26.420 Are we going to wear each other's faces?

00:58:28.460 Yeah, I would wear that.
00:58:29.220 I'll hold your hand while we do it.
00:58:30.340 I actually like the contrast. 0.99

00:58:36.040 It looks great.
00:58:36.780 An upgraded version of Daniel's statue.
00:58:39.280 It looks great.
00:58:40.400 And another small plug coming up here.
00:58:42.800 we have just go go to the top lobster website click on that logo up there i have a children's
00:58:48.460 book it's finished everything oh cool yeah what it does is it teaches uh children about the crimes
00:58:54.020 of the jews no it teaches children this one specifically and i'm gonna i want to do a bunch 0.99
00:59:04.280 of these but this one specifically teaches kids to uh understand the the trespasses of a little 0.98
00:59:12.520 bit of evil yeah i think so you know nephi who's our character here which is a nephilim kind of
00:59:18.720 flies in the face he he lets in a small dog man because it's cute and things progress and
00:59:24.040 things get worse and it eventually invites more dog men in until he has to figure out a way to
00:59:29.760 expel it uh using the name of jesus so spoiler alert whatever it's a children's book but just
00:59:34.500 don't tell your kids how it ends and some merch coming for that also um so yeah sign up to the
00:59:39.820 mailing list and i'll let you guys know when this stuff drops it's going to be i'm working 0.57
00:59:43.600 really hard on it very exciting man yeah that's good shit hey guys did you like plugs in the
00:59:48.420 middle or like what was jarring for the end of the middle to it i can adapt david's been very 0.82
00:59:53.040 off all this he's been he's had a posture towards me of like hmm why are you doing this yeah why
00:59:58.080 did you not let me we had a whole because right before we started they're like should we start 0.69
01:00:01.580 with no intro and i'm going what the fuck does that look like no intro and then we started hard 0.66
01:00:05.980 100 episodes of intros 100 episodes 700 episodes of intros at this point um but fine you know 0.98
01:00:13.760 whatever fuck me you gotta change things up every once in a while i gotta keep the audience on your 0.99
01:00:19.720 toes i'm not i don't like change but it's it's fine and i'll somebody there you go fj fool likes 1.00
01:00:24.580 getting plugged in the middle he does like they don't care as long as their content holes are 0.92
01:00:29.080 filled this show is horrible good all right so uh so so back to the just wrap up the whole seed
01:00:34.400 war thing so yeah i think there there's a spiritual seed that that um people were that i i think is
01:00:40.560 being referenced a lot here but when it comes down to the the bloodlines of the the royal people and
01:00:46.340 and and the bloodlines that are trying to be that are being preserved yeah i think that's happening
01:00:50.980 however i don't equate that to the the seed the the so-called seed war in genesis 15 because this
01:00:57.180 is specific about the
01:00:59.100 Nakash, the serpent, and Eve.
01:01:03.160 But there has been a struggle
01:01:05.320 from the beginning
01:01:06.840 of the evil ones trying to prevent the
01:01:09.180 birth of Jesus. And I think that's when a lot of people,
01:01:11.780 even my old mentor, Chuck Misra,
01:01:13.220 he would talk about, he called it a seed war,
01:01:15.140 but he was saying all the machinations that the
01:01:17.180 evil ones were doing to try to prevent the birth of
01:01:19.180 Jesus. Because every time God made it
01:01:21.120 more specific as to what line Jesus
01:01:23.040 was going to be coming through, they focused
01:01:25.160 on that they you know they focused on all the humanity with the with the nephilim then they
01:01:28.600 just focused on abraham's line then they focused on you know david and the israelites and then
01:01:34.040 when jesus was even born you know they herod had all the had all the baby boys killed similar to
01:01:39.720 what you know pharaoh did um you know a couple thousand years earlier so yes there's been there
01:01:45.080 is a war where which that's what my whole course is all about so yes there's a war but don't confuse
01:01:51.320 that with the specifics of the seed war this is between jesus and the antichrist right so like
01:01:57.660 again like what we were talking about with the tozer idea of jesus being the one thing that's
01:02:03.360 consistent in the story like again there could be many angels show up there could be many angels
01:02:08.060 that didn't show up what's happening at that day at that moment is jesus is born he's showing up
01:02:13.260 that's the pivotal that's what the bible is all about so theoretically jesus could have shown up
01:02:18.880 to he could have been born to another person that's of this same line that is not mary
01:02:23.880 anybody that would step in at that if mary said no to uh to gabriel when he said hey do you want
01:02:30.140 to do this she could have said no like given her free will right yeah she thought that doesn't
01:02:36.540 really you know it's just a speculative thing well this idea that like mary's the one who said yes
01:02:42.660 that's why we heard about her what yeah was there somebody else i don't really know i mean you know
01:02:47.100 not worth getting too crazy over but like i do wonder if uh there were others that said no and
01:02:52.480 just never made it into scripture because of that right and then that brings up the question a lot
01:02:56.280 of people don't like when ed says this about like what god knows in advance oh yeah right right yeah
01:03:01.660 they they hate you because of that but it's fine i know uh but yeah i i get it because i was i was
01:03:06.660 raised that way too god knows everything's gonna happen but then i then how does free will work
01:03:10.160 yeah how does it work and why would you ask them which is admittedly uh something that is confusing
01:03:16.800 right we're given our restrictions and the time space continuum and physical reality like yeah
01:03:23.340 we have free will that seems pretty explicit uh but also yeah i'm not putting limitations on god
01:03:29.100 so if you're gonna say how do you uh you know how are you gonna talk about that that seems it's like
01:03:35.300 yeah dude that's confusing it's very confusing you spent a little time ago ed but and you haven't
01:03:39.780 said it this way since i mean this was probably years ago when you were on uh with the revelation
01:03:43.900 series maybe you were saying god god can know but chooses not to look like this this idea of
01:03:51.080 like yeah he knows everything but if if he's promised us free will then he just doesn't look
01:03:56.360 at that and that's what i say i think you did say something like that i don't know i don't even know
01:04:02.060 if that's correct what do you think about that statement is that too like um i guess if i did
01:04:07.620 say that then i need to correct myself because i i don't think that god can see things that just
01:04:12.280 haven't happened yet because that other people are going to do he can't say definitively because
01:04:18.120 he again we are in we are still in this time domain and if we have if we have free will
01:04:23.360 and god knows and it's already happened then again it's it's not it's not free will and god
01:04:30.880 and it will contradict other things that god said god said you know whosoever believes will
01:04:35.460 will not perish but have everlasting life that means he didn't know when he told abraham you
01:04:41.300 when he was going to sacrifice Isaac, he said, now I know that you would not withhold your son
01:04:46.480 to me. Well, that implies that he didn't know before that. I think when people say,
01:04:50.860 don't put limitations on God, I'm not. I'm only putting limitation on God that God puts on
01:04:54.080 himself. God talks about things he cannot do. God can't lie. Yeah, that whole now I know thing
01:05:01.280 is really like, how do you quantify that? You can't ignore that, right? To say now I know
01:05:08.500 suggest there was a time where he didn't know that's inferred by the word now right so i mean
01:05:14.560 that the fact that that's in there at all you have to wrestle with that and uh if you're not
01:05:19.200 willing to wrestle with that like i don't know what to tell you are you yeah i mean the counter
01:05:22.680 argument is that you know god was testing him and god knew the results of the test
01:05:25.460 but if if that again it still doesn't fit then then he would not have said now i know he would
01:05:31.640 have said well now you know what you know how much you believe in me i knew it but now you know it
01:05:37.240 So, like, therefore, if he does know, if he chose to know, because I think he could choose, he obviously could choose to know.
01:05:44.820 But if he did choose to know, then that would make him an unjust guy.
01:05:48.420 That would then turn him into a demiurge idea.

01:07:21.180 God is routinely testing people, right?
01:07:23.440 Like, throughout Scripture, people are being tested.
01:07:25.460 I think God is testing people to find out what they're going to do.
01:07:30.840 Because if he knows what we're going to do before we do it, then why even test us?
01:07:37.020 What is the point of a test if there's not a passing or a failing?
01:07:40.860 Then there's no failing.
01:07:42.380 Then it's not a test.
01:07:44.900 I also bring up the idea of Hezekiah.
01:07:47.600 I think in the book of 2 Kings, where God tells Hezekiah, you are going to die.
01:07:53.120 This is it.
01:07:53.640 Your life is coming to an end.
01:07:55.460 but has a so god said that he didn't say maybe he said your life is going in then hezekiah prayed
01:08:00.580 that god not do it and god it gave another 15 years so then if if if god knew okay hezekiah
01:08:07.780 you're not here's what you're gonna do i'm gonna tell you're gonna die then but you're gonna pray
01:08:11.620 and then i'm gonna give you 15 more years well then god lied to hezekiah when he said you're 0.68
01:08:15.460 going to die and god can't lie but god didn't know that hezekiah was going to pray for those
01:08:21.140 additional year so how do you jive that because so either god knew hezekiah was going to ask for
01:08:26.560 the years which means god lied when he told hezekiah you are going to die or god didn't know
01:08:32.300 but god was was planning to take hezekiah's life because his life was at the end and hezekiah
01:08:36.480 changed god's mind abraham i mean excuse me moses changed god's mind god said yeah there you go he
01:08:42.900 said i'm going to wipe out all these israelites and they were worshiping the golden calf he didn't 0.66
01:08:46.100 say i'm thinking about it or he didn't make it an if then say but he says i'm going to wipe them out 1.00
01:08:50.320 and I'm going to raise children through you
01:08:53.160 and they'll go into the promised land.
01:08:55.080 And Moses changed his mind.
01:08:57.220 If God knows everything, how does God change his mind?
01:09:00.480 These are things you have to wrestle with.
01:09:01.640 Both things can't be true.
01:09:02.920 But in what I want to say to people
01:09:04.540 that you're struggling, who are struggling with this,
01:09:06.960 this does not diminish God.
01:09:08.520 I think that's a big struggle people have.
01:09:10.100 If God doesn't know everything, then he's less God.
01:09:12.140 No, that's no.
01:09:14.400 It's like God can do anything.
01:09:16.180 No, he can't.
01:09:16.700 God can't lie.
01:09:17.440 God can't change.
01:09:18.240 God not being able to lie doesn't make God less
01:09:21.380 God not being able to change
01:09:23.440 Doesn't make him less
01:09:24.100 It makes him righteous and just
01:09:25.420 It makes him who he is 1.00
01:09:26.460 It makes him different from say Allah 1.00
01:09:28.400 Who can be capricious
01:09:29.700 Allah can lie 1.00
01:09:30.820 And he encourages in certain parts of the Quran 1.00
01:09:33.580 That you can lie to the infidel 1.00
01:09:35.200 Well that's not righteous and that's not just 1.00
01:09:37.940 Go ahead
01:09:40.640 The cool thing about that too
01:09:42.460 Is that the more you read the Bible
01:09:44.600 You see that some of God's favorite people
01:09:46.800 I guess he does kind of choose favorites, is some of his favorite people, Israel, Jacob, wrestled with God.
01:09:53.880 Like, he likes that sort of idea.
01:09:56.660 Or I was talking with Matt about Moses tells, I forget exactly where he tells, where God tells Moses to go.
01:10:04.960 Moses goes, no, no, I'm not going to go.
01:10:06.740 And God says, I'll send an angel with you.
01:10:08.460 And he goes, I'm not going unless you go with me.
01:10:11.560 and it's like god likes that almost disagreeable it's it's a wrestling with him it's like a i don't
01:10:18.760 know if questioning is the correct word but it's like a it's an exploration of of him it is a it
01:10:24.820 is an expression of faith because if you don't have faith what on earth are you wasting all this
01:10:30.320 energy wrestling with yeah you know what i'm saying like if you had no faith you would just
01:10:34.720 be like whatever and you'd move on but this is this thing that you have faith in is conflicted
01:10:40.320 with this thing that is you.
01:10:42.120 And now you're desperately trying to resolve that
01:10:45.060 in a real frustrating way to, that is an act of faith.
01:10:49.120 Well, that's how you grow the container.
01:10:50.460 Yeah, God wants to interact with us.
01:10:52.680 That's what it gets down to.
01:10:53.920 God wants to interact with us.
01:10:55.120 And you're not gonna interact with someone
01:10:56.760 who is just a robot, who you give it an order
01:10:59.480 and it does what you say completely.
01:11:00.980 That's not interaction.
01:11:02.440 God wants that back and forth.
01:11:04.240 You'd be hard pressed to find me a place,
01:11:05.640 I'm not gonna say this definitively
01:11:06.800 because I haven't looked at it,
01:11:07.900 but I think you'd be hard pressed to find a part,
01:11:10.160 place in the bible where god punished someone for having a question or even a disagreement now you
01:11:16.440 have things like where people are disobedient like you know like jonah you know jonah just said nope
01:11:21.260 i'm not doing it period he didn't say hey god can you help me can why are we doing this jonah just
01:11:26.720 said i ain't going so and god had to explain it to him a little more carefully but i like that's
01:11:32.700 like when your kid goes like i'm not doing it and they go oh that's funny that's funny here's this
01:11:36.340 He's a huge whale.
01:11:37.760 If you want me to go get the big fish, I'll go get the big fish right now.
01:11:42.080 But I would say that when you look at Abraham, when he was negotiating over Sodom and Gomorrah,
01:11:47.940 and God just said, we're destroying Sodom and Gomorrah, and Abraham started negotiating. 0.57
01:11:52.500 Would you destroy it for 50?
01:11:53.440 What about 40?
01:11:54.020 We're all 30.
01:11:54.800 God said, okay, no.
01:11:55.520 God did not get mad at him.
01:11:58.020 He didn't say, stop questioning me.
01:11:59.900 I won't do it for 10.
01:12:01.540 I think he would have gone all the way down to one, but Abraham stopped.
01:12:04.620 if they would have found 10 you think he would have been like all right he said well he would
01:12:09.640 have got him he would have still destroyed he would have got him out of the city that's what
01:12:12.440 he did with lot because that's what he got down to because lot if there was one righteous person
01:12:17.180 there he was not going to destroy sodom and gomorrah and that is what again going back to
01:12:21.300 i'm giving more plugs to chuck missler here he would he that's one of his arguments for the
01:12:25.680 rapture having to happen before the judgments because it's the same situation where god is
01:12:30.980 not going to judge the righteous with the wicked abraham said god we he says surely you won't judge
01:12:35.400 the righteous with the wicked god said no i won't so that means that the righteous have to have have
01:12:39.940 to vacate before that's interesting so just another thing we throw out there to make to make people
01:12:44.640 mad i don't know y'all tripping ed that's branding or did you just do branding all the time that's
01:12:51.960 all i do brand oh my god there we go yeah let's uh let's keep it moving yeah it's a new t-shirt
01:12:56.760 so where were we at now oh i think well i think one thing i did not finish that last piece about
01:13:04.240 um going back to the rogan thing about people adding things to the bible so just to wrap that
01:13:08.440 up the the guardrail you have against when when people add things to the bible is if you know
01:13:13.860 god's will you know who he is if you have a relationship with him and someone says hey
01:13:18.080 here's this new lost book of the bible like the gnostic stuff and all the sorts you can look at
01:13:22.880 and say, okay, first of all, does this match the rest of the Bible? Does it contradict or conflict
01:13:26.940 with it? And number two, does this match God's nature or his will? And if it doesn't, yeah, okay,
01:13:33.120 I can reject that because I know God and I know his word. It's like that in scripture too, right?
01:13:37.360 If anybody should come preaching a different gospel, even an angel, you know, that it's a
01:13:41.780 deception. So in other words, like that's going to happen. People are going to come preaching a
01:13:46.800 different gospel. Even angels will come preaching a different gospel, which I think is more than
01:13:51.620 likely the situation with mormonism um so yeah i mean that wouldn't be in there if that wasn't
01:13:56.720 going to happen yeah so yeah so that's um really where i stand as far as adding things to the bible
01:14:03.860 or things have been taken away from it maybe some things have been taken out and maybe things have
01:14:08.140 been added but the things that have been taken out you still have the rest of the bible yeah
01:14:12.500 important things are still going to be there and things that are added you judge if someone says
01:14:16.700 this thing has been added then you judge it uh based on the rest of the bible so with those last
01:14:21.380 nine verses of Mark chapter 16. Yeah, those are kind of squirrely. And even before I even
01:14:26.500 knew a whole lot about the Bible, when I read those for the first time when I was a kid,
01:14:30.520 I was like, that doesn't seem right. You know, that didn't really jive too well with me.
01:14:35.680 I mean, I wasn't willing to reject it outright, but I still questioned it. And the bottom line
01:14:40.560 is it didn't affect salvation. You know, I'm not going to go out and pick up snakes and do all
01:14:44.700 that kind of stuff. At the end of Revelation, when it says anybody who adds to this book or
01:14:50.220 takes away is that are they talking about specifically the the book of revelation or
01:14:54.640 the entire bible it's talking specifically about the book of revelation right because they couldn't
01:14:58.960 know that this would be added or there would even be the concept of the 66 books exactly
01:15:03.900 and i think that's that's another that's more evidence that the canon of the bible ends with
01:15:08.880 with revelation because i mean that's the end of the story obviously but if you add something to
01:15:12.900 the prophecy then what you're doing is you are essentially you're you're changing this you're
01:15:20.820 changing the purpose of god's will because this is the end this is where his will is enacted so
01:15:25.540 that's why i'm even though i teach revelation i'm very very careful and to say well this is my
01:15:30.740 opinion or my theory based on what i already see here i'm not adding thing anything to it and
01:15:36.580 that's one of the probably go back to the whole little season thing one of the problems i have
01:15:39.540 have with that is it's adding or taking away things that that aren't there for one it takes
01:15:44.460 away it says that you know jesus had to jesus came back after jesus excuse me he reigned for a
01:15:48.820 thousand years and then he left the bible doesn't say that you're adding that if you say that jesus
01:15:53.400 reigned for a thousand years and then he left you're adding the and then he left because the
01:15:58.140 bible never says that you're adding to the prophecies that's why i tell people that's that's
01:16:02.260 dangerous when you do that so i i would be careful because you're misrepresenting you're
01:16:09.020 representing what god said yeah we actually have a question from the chat and then i think we'll
01:16:13.520 bring it in for a landing here because i actually got to run a few minutes but uh joe preston
01:16:17.920 2669 uh question for ed jesus knew peter would deny him three times uh was that him taking away
01:16:26.240 peter's free will great show as always yeah we just covered this uh me and matt we were doing a
01:16:31.780 a g campbell morgan series and and he's it's called the the great physician where he goes
01:16:36.900 through chapter by chapter of everybody that uh jesus interacted with in the bible throughout
01:16:41.860 you know in in order and we're up to peter and it gets to that point and it's kind of crazy like
01:16:47.780 matt makes a point of like peter had three things to do that day not deny jesus three times like
01:16:54.800 he gets to the third part and he gets he does it twice and there's like there's no way he's
01:17:00.160 gonna do it again he does it again i'm like how the hell does that work okay so you have an
01:17:05.380 So God doesn't know specifically what he's going to, what we're going to do, but he does,
01:17:10.080 he knows our causes and he can predict the effects based on that. That's why, that's why he can say
01:17:16.020 that all the world corporately will follow the antichrist because he knows that the nature of
01:17:21.480 the world is to, is to follow evil. So he can say that. He didn't say exactly who's going to follow
01:17:28.160 the antichrist, but the world corporately will. Now with Peter, he knew the causes. He knew that
01:17:31.880 Peter was at this point a coward. He knew Peter's heart. He knew what he was going to do. And the
01:17:37.860 reason he could say he would die me three times, because that's how many times God allowed people
01:17:42.120 to do that. I think if someone had asked Peter 10 times, he would have denied Jesus 10 times.

01:19:17.540 Oh, that's an interesting one.
01:19:19.700 He chose three.
01:19:20.320 because he felt three would be enough
01:19:24.480 but if he said
01:19:26.320 Simon, Simon I tell you that
01:19:28.040 before the rooster crows you're going to deny me
01:19:30.480 four times
01:19:31.060 he would have because he was going to
01:19:34.480 keep denying him until
01:19:35.960 he was alerted to it because
01:19:37.640 to go back to use on my
01:19:39.960 partner John Lenhart's
01:19:42.040 bailiwick with the unconscious mind
01:19:44.640 he knew where Peter was unconsciously
01:19:46.400 Peter had
01:19:48.460 withdrawn and he was in his unconscious mind he was completely in complete fear when the rooster
01:19:54.380 crowed he got to his conscious mind and he's like oh i just realized something peter was totally in
01:19:59.100 an animal thought process he was just floating and then when the rooster crowed he said oh i remember
01:20:04.300 what jesus said oh here's what i just did then that's when he started crying because he realized
01:20:09.980 what he had done that made it wasn't fear before that yeah because you can't be in your you can't
01:20:15.980 be in your right mind like hearing that from and then going and doing it and do it as i'm saying
01:20:21.040 and then you go there's no way i'm gonna do this a third time like i'm just gonna i'm doing that 0.54
01:20:26.320 thing i'll do anything else i'll crap my pants and run away crazy before i say it so jesus and god
01:20:32.920 knew peter's thought process and he knew and he knew that when he said you're gonna deny me three 0.69
01:20:37.400 times but when the rooster crows you know before the rooster crows you're gonna deny me three times
01:20:42.300 But but which implies after the rooster crows, you're going to get it, which means you'll need to be brought back into your conscious brain.
01:20:49.660 Does it also imply, would you say, maybe this might be reaching there, but like the the intimacy in which Jesus knew Peter?
01:20:58.800 Like, I know this well that I can look this deeply into you.
01:21:03.140 He said, yeah, he knew their heart. Remember when Jesus was talking to the rich young ruler who who said, you know, he said, what must I do to be saved more or less?
01:21:11.140 And Jesus said, you know, obey the law.
01:21:13.400 And he said, well, I've done all that from the beginning.
01:21:15.260 And then it said, Jesus, you know, had compassion.
01:21:16.700 Jesus saw his heart and had compassion.
01:21:18.820 He said, sell all that you have and give it to the poor and walk with me.
01:21:22.300 Because he knew that that was his stronghold.
01:21:24.500 That was his stumbling block, was his wealth.
01:21:27.700 And he knew that in him, even though he just met this guy,
01:21:29.980 Jesus was able to see into his heart through, you know, through God.
01:21:32.660 God, he had grace flowing through him.
01:21:34.260 So he could see that deeply into him.
01:21:36.780 And he knew this would be a challenge,
01:21:38.240 but he didn't know what he was going to choose.
01:21:40.140 the guy could have chosen okay jesus i'm gonna i'm gonna give it up but i think i think he knew
01:21:45.660 he probably wouldn't but you know he could have surprised jesus because jesus was surprised a few
01:21:49.400 times you know the um the centurion who who commissioned jesus to heal his servant jesus
01:21:54.900 said okay i'll go heal him and he said no no no you're not i'm not worthy that you come into my
01:21:59.000 house if you just say the words he'll be healed and jesus was shocked he says i've never seen
01:22:02.980 faith like this in all of israel so again jesus didn't know he jesus was god jesus didn't know
01:22:10.280 he said okay i'll go heal him and he's like no no no you know you can just speak the words
01:22:14.300 interesting all right man it's it's such a crazy topic people i love it people that are like usuals
01:22:21.660 in the chat some are mad some are saying like i i get it the people that are are mad i understand
01:22:27.020 the people that uh get it they're they're trying to think they're trying to think at least yeah
01:22:33.320 and i i appreciate that but uh you get in trouble sometimes if you try to think that's okay whatever
01:22:38.400 cut my head off i'll be fine yeah i want you i want you to be to think think and if even if even
01:22:43.900 if you're mad it's okay be mad but you know just but just i say open yourself to the possibility
01:22:49.100 because i i was i didn't always think this either i had to be convinced of this there are lots of
01:22:54.000 things that I've had to be convinced of that I initially said, nope, that does not sound right.
01:22:57.600 But what I had to say to myself is, does it not sound right because the Bible explicitly says so
01:23:02.660 or because it makes me comfortable to believe this? It's very comforting to believe that God
01:23:06.340 knows everything ahead of time. It's uncomfortable to think, wait a minute, God doesn't know my
01:23:12.120 choices. God doesn't know the choices of everyone around me specifically. That's uncomfortable.
01:23:17.240 Don't let your discomfort get in the way of righteousness. I go like, okay, yeah, like we're
01:23:22.640 in the game like we're in this we're participants we're right co-laborers like this is the idea of
01:23:28.220 being a co-laborer with god and he's like yeah we already know just put the bricks over there
01:23:32.640 it's kind of like it's a little bit demeaning uh yeah i don't have to bring this in for a landing
01:23:37.180 but i think a perfect example is the three of us you think i think god wanted me to start doing
01:23:43.000 when i this faith by reason thing when i was in my 20s i've talked about this before i didn't want
01:23:47.820 So my father, when I was in my twenties and I was graduating from college, he, we were
01:23:53.380 having a conversation, a very deep theological conversation.
01:23:55.700 He said, you know, son, I think that you're being called into the ministry. 1.00
01:23:58.060 And I said, I don't want to, I want to go out into, I want to drink and bang women and 1.00
01:24:01.860 do my thing. 0.98
01:24:02.860 I don't want to be, I don't want to be a preacher.
01:24:04.420 I don't want to do this.
01:24:05.700 I think if I had said yes, God could have used me even more, but God could not make
01:24:10.740 me do it.
01:24:11.740 He had to, he, I think he knew that it was in my heart.
01:24:13.940 He knew my tendencies.
01:24:14.940 He knew my causes, but he did not know
01:24:17.040 when I was going to finally say yes.
01:24:20.320 And I think the same thing with you guys.
01:24:21.300 You guys didn't start this show
01:24:24.160 thinking it was going to be what it is now,
01:24:25.740 but I think God knew that I can use these guys,
01:24:28.140 but they have to say yes.
01:24:30.820 And if I had never said yes,
01:24:33.660 then God wasn't gonna make me.
01:24:35.940 He didn't know.
01:24:36.780 All he knew was that this is your calling.
01:24:38.180 Are you gonna say yes to your calling?
01:24:40.260 That was my choice.
01:24:41.840 God didn't make me do it.
01:24:43.100 I think God would have liked for me to have done it.
01:24:45.000 If God had his way, I think he would have wanted me to do this earlier in my life.
01:24:48.000 I forget who we were talking to, but it was about the calling that God.
01:24:52.060 Oh, actually, I don't think we're talking about anything.
01:24:53.140 I think I was in church listening to, it might have been Pastor Rick, and he was talking
01:24:57.360 about when God calls you and he calls you to do a specific thing, and that thing doesn't
01:25:01.400 like go away.
01:25:02.220 There's no expiration date on that thing. 1.00
01:25:04.100 He could have done it 20 years ago, and he's still waiting on your goofy ass to get up 1.00
01:25:08.780 and do the thing. 1.00
01:25:09.560 It doesn't just go away.
01:25:10.580 So whether you do it when you're cold or whether you beat around the bush and then eventually accept it 20 years down the line, like you're still called to do that.
01:25:18.140 This could have been way better for you, Ed.
01:25:19.920 Yeah.
01:25:20.120 And now you got to deal with us.
01:25:23.440 That's the punishment for your lack of expedience.
01:25:26.760 That's what we call the holy GPS.
01:25:30.120 Every time we make a decision, we make God just rearranges.
01:25:32.660 You just OK, you made the wrong turn.
01:25:34.200 OK, now I've got to reroute you.
01:25:36.260 Yeah.
01:25:36.480 Then all you have is really gratitude for his patience.
01:25:39.320 Right. 1.00
01:25:39.680 because um once you get into it and you see that his plan was better than whatever your stupid plan 0.99
01:25:46.280 was going to be um then there's gratitude for even having a stake in the plan for even being 0.96
01:25:52.380 able to be co-laborer and then after that you realize like oh yeah that kind of took a long
01:25:57.940 time to do this that could have passed you up or you could be dead right now you know but thank god 1.00
01:26:02.520 for his patience because it's still here you're stupid and it's going to take a long time for you 1.00
01:26:07.820 get your act together you know what i mean but it's here waiting for you that's a great place 0.99
01:26:12.260 to bring it in i think ed man tell the tell the people again real quick where you're at and uh

01:26:30.800 warfare course as i said before the the community has just been amazing the two things that people
01:26:36.320 have talked about who are in the course that i wasn't really promoting because you know i i was
01:26:41.600 thinking of you know what i think people should want from it but but the things i've heard number
01:26:45.200 one is the community and number two is getting to know who you who they are because that's part of
01:26:49.200 what what we do in the first three months we kind of help you understand who you are uniquely because
01:26:53.440 you're attacked uniquely and you defend yourself uniquely but people have but a lot of the people
01:26:58.400 so i i i understand myself so much better now um through through through the work that john does
01:27:05.280 And that's been worth the price of a mission on its own.
01:27:07.420 So I would ask you, do you know who you are?
01:27:10.320 And do you want to?
