00:03:09.520 Guys, shout out to Creepypastas.
00:03:13.100 We don't have that much time with Ed today, so let's get into it.
00:03:15.540 Ed Mabry joins us once again.
00:03:17.680 Ed, I got to say the amount of feedback that we got from the last episode
00:03:20.840 that we did with you with Matt of the Standard Coffee Shop.
00:03:24.320 We're actually here once again in the Standard Coffee Shop.
00:03:26.680 Matt has started doing Straight Bible,
00:03:28.960 and that crossover with you and him was everything that the fans wanted.
00:03:32.980 We got such positive feedback, so it's great to have you back.
00:03:35.460 Before we get into really important questions, where can people find you?
00:03:41.540 Yeah, guys, thanks for having me on again.
00:03:42.940 You can find me on my legacy site, which is faithbyadreason.net.
00:03:47.320 Hundreds of hours of material there.
00:03:49.640 I also have the membership side of that.
00:03:51.160 You can get the entire Revelation series there, the Genesis series,
00:03:56.040 and 501c3, so you can possibly get some tax benefits, talk to your advisor.
00:04:01.200 There are discounts on books, and of course, my Patreon,
00:04:03.160 which is where I'm most active, it's where I'm interacting with folks.
00:04:05.980 You get bonus episodes, you get first content drops there first,
00:04:09.340 uploading a Revelation series to that, Genesis series, bonus episodes, Q&As,
00:04:13.920 and you can be part of the Bible study.
00:04:15.460 We're actually almost at the end of the year-long Bible study.
00:04:20.300 We're actually going to be wrapping up the church age.
00:04:23.580 Then we'll get Revelation, and then we'll start it all over next year.
00:04:26.680 So those are all recordings.
00:04:28.360 You can come and pick up on those,
00:04:30.420 because we also do a live Q&A afterwards,
00:04:32.600 and you can then get started with us again in February.
00:04:35.460 Oh, and one other thing,
00:04:36.700 because I know we have another episode we're doing in a couple weeks
00:04:39.880 with my friend John Lindhardt and Jason,
00:04:44.280 and we're going to talk more about this.
00:04:46.000 John and I will talk about this more then,
00:04:47.000 but also we're doing a spiritual warfare class.
00:04:49.940 We're going to start that early next year.
00:04:51.440 It's going to be a pretty deep curriculum.
00:04:53.180 It's going to be videos, going to be written material,
00:04:56.260 and then live sessions,
00:04:57.320 because I've been getting just a ton of interest
00:05:00.560 of people saying they feel like they're under spiritual attacks,
00:05:03.020 spiritual oppression, and I get that all the time.
00:05:05.720 So I think, you know what?
00:05:06.500 I think it's time to do a course to teach people
00:05:08.400 how to effectively do spiritual warfare.
00:05:11.280 So, yeah.
00:05:12.120 That's huge.
00:05:12.900 It's one of the things I really like about your Patreon
00:05:14.540 is there's a lot of solutions,
00:05:15.760 and there's a lot of talk about important questions.
00:05:19.040 And the topic of questions, by the way,
00:05:20.600 we'll probably be taking some fan questions
00:05:22.540 by the end of this episode.
00:05:23.840 So if you have any, drop them in the chat.
00:05:25.660 We'll hold on to them.
00:05:26.320 We've got a couple in the backlog.
00:05:27.520 But your Patreon is a great place for tools,
00:05:31.720 you know, how to navigate spiritual warfare,
00:05:33.760 things of that nature.
00:05:35.280 I recommend people go over there.
00:05:36.940 I'm not going to say too much on it.
00:05:38.000 You did have a talk recently,
00:05:39.120 Is Masturbation a Sin?
00:05:40.780 Right off the bat,
00:05:41.660 you opened it in a really compelling way,
00:05:43.940 and it turns out to be a fascinating topic
00:05:45.960 that is, you know, pretty nuanced.
00:05:48.180 It's not a straightforward answer.
00:05:49.560 You actually open it up with, it depends.
00:05:52.140 So, you know, a little bit of a spoiler alert there.
00:05:53.600 I highly recommend people go and check it out
00:05:55.600 because you're answering important questions.
00:05:58.280 I kind of want to start this one off
00:06:00.200 with something that you also talked about
00:06:01.560 on your Patreon,
00:06:02.280 given that today is October 31st.
00:06:05.820 It's Halloween.
00:06:07.020 And I believe you actually answered the question
00:06:09.200 on your Patreon,
00:06:11.200 is it all right for Christians to celebrate Halloween?
00:06:14.520 Maybe you could talk about that a little bit.
00:06:16.300 Yeah, yeah.
00:06:16.620 I actually dropped that, excuse me,
00:06:18.120 yesterday for my Patreon,
00:06:18.940 so I'm happy to talk about it here as well.
00:06:20.820 You know, though,
00:06:21.380 you can get obviously more detail on the Patreon,
00:06:24.040 but I'm happy to touch on it
00:06:25.180 because it is, it's a sensitive topic.
00:06:26.600 It's just like the masturbation topic.
00:06:28.000 Maybe we'll talk about that in an upcoming episode
00:06:29.520 because it's one of those things
00:06:31.140 where it just seems like
00:06:31.920 there's this kind of dividing line.
00:06:34.660 You know, who are you hurting
00:06:35.660 when you do, again, not just masturbation,
00:06:38.160 but with Halloween?
00:06:38.800 And are you committing a sin?
00:06:42.260 Because, you know,
00:06:42.740 the Bible is very clear
00:06:44.060 that you should not worship other gods,
00:06:46.240 other Elohim.
00:06:46.900 You should not get involved
00:06:47.780 in what we call the occult, Satanism.
00:06:49.700 You know, especially in the Old Testament,
00:06:52.080 it's, you know,
00:06:52.540 God's pretty clear that, you know,
00:06:54.800 don't get involved in witchcraft,
00:06:56.140 those sorts of things.
00:06:57.060 So should we do it?
00:06:59.260 So just like the masturbation question,
00:07:02.060 it comes down,
00:07:02.440 it really depends
00:07:03.560 because there's a difference
00:07:04.760 between celebrating Halloween
00:07:07.060 and observing it.
00:07:08.340 And I think that's really where
00:07:09.740 that line of demarcation is.
00:07:12.060 So when it comes to,
00:07:13.940 let's just talk about
00:07:14.740 some of the reasons
00:07:15.520 that white people,
00:07:16.320 you know, say it's wrong.
00:07:18.300 And again, it's because
00:07:20.480 it's the celebration is called,
00:07:23.520 or the holiday,
00:07:24.640 for lack of a better term,
00:07:25.260 it's called All Hallows' Eve.
00:07:26.380 It is a pagan holiday.
00:07:28.100 It's considered the holiest
00:07:29.600 or more accurately,
00:07:31.160 the unholiest day
00:07:32.460 or night of the year.
00:07:34.480 It's when, according to legend,
00:07:36.380 it's when the veil is the thinnest
00:07:37.760 between our realm
00:07:39.020 and the quote-unquote
00:07:40.200 spiritual realm.
00:07:41.460 A lot of rituals happen.
00:07:43.160 A lot of witchcraft is going on.
00:07:45.180 There are all kinds of legends
00:07:46.360 that we've kind of taken
00:07:48.380 and put into our culture.
00:07:50.900 Like, you know,
00:07:51.160 the jack-o'-lantern
00:07:52.060 was actually,
00:07:53.540 in medieval times,
00:07:54.400 it wasn't actually a pumpkin,
00:07:55.260 it was a turnip.
00:07:56.020 So I don't know how they found
00:07:56.900 a turnip big enough
00:07:57.580 to put a light into,
00:07:58.520 but you would do that
00:07:59.480 and it would.
00:08:00.420 And it was a night
00:08:01.640 when supposedly demons
00:08:03.360 would roam the earth
00:08:04.500 and they would come to your door
00:08:06.240 and you'd have to give them
00:08:07.180 something to make them go away,
00:08:08.360 which is where
00:08:08.740 the trick-or-treat aspect came.
00:08:10.340 When you go to a house
00:08:11.040 and say trick-or-treat,
00:08:12.480 what you're really emulating
00:08:14.820 is when a demonic entity
00:08:16.280 would come to someone's house
00:08:17.460 and you had to give them a gift
00:08:19.920 in order to make them go away.
00:08:21.580 So there are all kinds
00:08:22.300 of legends around it.
00:08:23.040 And some churches
00:08:23.520 are very strict
00:08:24.280 and say you absolutely
00:08:25.820 should not do Halloween.
00:08:27.360 And you also shouldn't
00:08:28.260 watch Harry Potter movies
00:08:29.640 because that's witchcraft.
00:08:30.660 So they're very much,
00:08:32.320 stay away from anything
00:08:33.220 that has to do with the occult.
00:08:34.600 And then there are others
00:08:35.500 who are like,
00:08:36.280 yeah, it's fine.
00:08:36.860 Or they'll have like
00:08:37.560 what they call a harvest festival
00:08:38.760 where they'll have all the kids
00:08:39.520 come to church
00:08:40.080 and they'll give them candy there
00:08:41.060 so they aren't crooked-treating.
00:08:43.140 And when I was growing up,
00:08:44.820 you know,
00:08:45.100 they would have all these,
00:08:46.560 I grew up during
00:08:47.180 the satanic panic era.
00:08:48.680 You know,
00:08:48.860 when I was a little kid,
00:08:49.860 that was happening.
00:08:50.940 And there are all these
00:08:51.940 crazy stories about
00:08:53.080 people putting poison
00:08:54.640 in the candy
00:08:55.280 and razor blades
00:08:56.740 and apples
00:08:57.320 and things like that.
00:08:58.680 So should we celebrate Halloween?
00:09:01.840 Again,
00:09:02.120 so the difference is
00:09:03.020 celebration versus
00:09:04.000 observing.
00:09:04.780 If you observe something,
00:09:05.960 that means you're participating
00:09:07.100 in the ritual.
00:09:08.420 You are actually doing
00:09:10.520 the paganistic rituals.
00:09:12.440 You're doing the witchcraft.
00:09:13.960 You are intentionally
00:09:14.920 celebrating
00:09:16.580 or invoking
00:09:19.380 these evil spirits
00:09:21.180 and doing all these
00:09:21.740 demonic things.
00:09:22.620 Then they're celebrating
00:09:23.560 something.
00:09:24.020 Well,
00:09:24.200 you're actually,
00:09:24.620 it's more of a party.
00:09:25.320 It's just,
00:09:26.340 you're taking advantage
00:09:28.820 of festivities.
00:09:31.060 So,
00:09:31.640 so should Christians
00:09:32.960 celebrate Halloween?
00:09:35.360 Celebrating it,
00:09:36.000 I don't think there's
00:09:36.580 anything wrong
00:09:37.020 with celebrating it.
00:09:38.080 Why?
00:09:38.460 Because you're not
00:09:39.320 taking it seriously.
00:09:40.560 It's really about
00:09:41.480 your intention.
00:09:42.260 That's what it really
00:09:42.680 comes down to.
00:09:43.480 A lot of times,
00:09:44.360 we as human beings
00:09:45.180 and churches,
00:09:45.740 we put certain restrictions
00:09:47.740 on people that God
00:09:48.780 doesn't because
00:09:49.860 we were trying to,
00:09:51.620 that's what religion is.
00:09:52.540 Religion is basically
00:09:53.160 trying to improve
00:09:53.780 on what God did.
00:09:54.920 It's saying,
00:09:55.580 you know,
00:09:55.760 God,
00:09:56.040 you said this,
00:09:56.620 but I'm going to put
00:09:57.060 something on top of it
00:09:57.860 to make it even more difficult.
00:09:59.040 So look,
00:09:59.460 God,
00:09:59.640 I improved on your plan.
00:10:01.360 I mean,
00:10:01.560 the first religious act,
00:10:02.800 we've talked about this before,
00:10:03.960 was with Eve.
00:10:05.200 When the,
00:10:05.960 the Nakash,
00:10:06.700 the so-called serpent
00:10:07.400 in the Garden of Eden
00:10:08.100 asked her a question.
00:10:09.400 He just said,
00:10:10.340 hey,
00:10:10.440 did God say that you can't
00:10:12.180 eat of any of the fruit
00:10:13.500 of the tree?
00:10:13.900 And she says,
00:10:14.340 well,
00:10:14.640 we can eat of all the fruit,
00:10:15.500 but we can't eat of the fruit
00:10:16.300 of the tree
00:10:16.880 of the knowledge of good and evil
00:10:17.780 and we can't touch it
00:10:19.240 or we'll die.
00:10:21.160 Well,
00:10:21.260 God never said,
00:10:22.100 don't touch it.
00:10:22.680 He said,
00:10:23.020 don't eat it.
00:10:24.040 But what Eve put on top of that was,
00:10:26.280 well,
00:10:26.840 if I don't touch it,
00:10:27.920 then I definitely can't eat it.
00:10:29.220 So look,
00:10:29.760 God,
00:10:29.980 I improved on your plan.
00:10:31.220 But that,
00:10:31.980 that showed her religious pride
00:10:33.180 and that showed the Nakash,
00:10:34.600 Satan,
00:10:35.020 that,
00:10:35.380 okay,
00:10:35.480 she has a weakness here in pride.
00:10:37.760 She wants to be like God.
00:10:39.240 So I'll say,
00:10:39.580 hey,
00:10:39.680 if you eat this fruit,
00:10:40.360 you will be like God.
00:10:41.540 You will be like the God,
00:10:42.420 it's like the Elohim.
00:10:43.260 So the point is that religion does that.
00:10:45.620 It's when people put extra restrictions
00:10:48.100 on that God didn't
00:10:49.680 and it always leads to trouble
00:10:51.240 because it's going to lead to extra rebellion
00:10:53.140 because what God says,
00:10:54.640 his law is going to be perfect.
00:10:55.740 And when you add to it,
00:10:56.540 you've corrupted it.
00:10:58.340 So some people,
00:10:59.460 so many churches will say,
00:11:00.580 you know,
00:11:00.720 you have to stay away from anything,
00:11:01.900 but God says,
00:11:02.920 what's in,
00:11:03.420 God sees what's in your heart
00:11:04.500 and he knows your intention.
00:11:05.780 And if your intention
00:11:06.960 is not to worship evil,
00:11:09.380 then you're not worshiping evil,
00:11:11.440 even if you get into the practice of it.
00:11:13.180 And I know some people are going to balk,
00:11:14.720 balk at that and say,
00:11:15.580 I don't know,
00:11:16.040 you know,
00:11:16.680 you're,
00:11:16.880 you're,
00:11:17.180 you're being too liberal with it.
00:11:18.380 Well,
00:11:19.440 what I did in my video,
00:11:20.480 I kind of transposed it.
00:11:22.060 Let's put it the other way around.
00:11:23.160 Let's look at a so-called Christian Holy Day,
00:11:26.000 which is Christmas.
00:11:27.040 You know,
00:11:27.360 Christmas,
00:11:27.780 Jesus wasn't born on December 25th
00:11:29.120 and there's paganistic stuff with Christian,
00:11:30.880 with Christmas.
00:11:32.080 But let's just say for the sake of argument
00:11:33.760 that it,
00:11:34.920 it is just a pure Holy Day.
00:11:36.680 And you,
00:11:37.260 and when you are,
00:11:38.020 when you are observing Christmas as a Christian,
00:11:40.120 what are you observing?
00:11:40.940 The birth of Jesus.
00:11:42.460 You're,
00:11:43.160 and you know,
00:11:43.780 the coming of the Messiah,
00:11:44.900 the greatest event in human history,
00:11:46.760 salvation,
00:11:47.800 all those great things.
00:11:48.480 So you're thinking about it.
00:11:49.280 You're meditating on it.
00:11:50.040 You're giving thanks for it.
00:11:51.640 You're,
00:11:52.080 you're thinking about Jesus and you're observing it.
00:11:54.580 How many people do you think in this country,
00:11:56.920 in the world are actually doing that on Christmas?

00:12:55.340 Not many.
00:12:56.940 Most people are just celebrating Christmas.
00:13:00.180 I gave an example in my video.
00:13:01.720 I have a neighbor who is an atheist.
00:13:03.620 And I have many in my neighborhood because I live in a very progressive part of the country.
00:13:08.120 But she's not only an atheist.
00:13:09.600 She is a pagan.
00:13:11.040 By her own admission,
00:13:12.040 she says she's a pagan.
00:13:13.280 But every Christmas,
00:13:14.420 her house is full of Christmas decorations.
00:13:16.380 There's a Christmas tree on the front yard.
00:13:18.200 There's all the,
00:13:18.620 you know,
00:13:19.320 lights around the house and all those sorts of things.
00:13:21.080 Because she said Christmas is her favorite holiday.
00:13:23.600 She's not a Christian.
00:13:24.580 She's not observing it.
00:13:26.240 But she's celebrating it.
00:13:27.600 Why?
00:13:27.940 Because it's fun.
00:13:29.400 It's,
00:13:29.680 you know,
00:13:29.780 she thinks about,
00:13:30.660 you know,
00:13:30.840 joy and gift giving and hanging out with your family and friends and going to parties.
00:13:34.660 Christmas is basically a secular celebration,
00:13:37.460 even though it is a quote unquote religious holiday.
00:13:41.260 Becoming,
00:13:42.220 celebrating Christmas does not make her a Christian.
00:13:45.000 She's not observing the Christian precepts.
00:13:48.740 Halloween is the same way.
00:13:50.220 You can celebrate it.
00:13:51.340 You can dress up in a goofy costume.
00:13:54.020 You can go to a party and,
00:13:55.620 you know,
00:13:55.880 drink from a punch bowl that had,
00:13:58.100 they put some dry ice in it.
00:13:59.000 So it has like little foggy thing coming out of it.
00:14:00.820 Out of it.
00:14:01.340 So it looks like a witch's brew.
00:14:02.380 You do sort of thing.
00:14:03.300 Are you actually honoring Satan?
00:14:06.520 Are you doing rituals?
00:14:08.060 No,
00:14:08.640 you're just goofing around,
00:14:10.160 taking your kids door to door in costumes to get some candy.
00:14:15.100 That's not,
00:14:16.180 go ahead.
00:14:17.580 Where,
00:14:18.220 because I,
00:14:18.640 like I've went back and forth in my life about this to like,
00:14:22.580 where I'm like,
00:14:23.000 well,
00:14:23.120 I'm not actually observing it to looking at it and going,
00:14:27.260 there's something a little bit nefarious about what they're doing.
00:14:31.260 But especially after like talking with Paul Stobbs,
00:14:33.880 where he makes the example of these,
00:14:35.700 these ancient tribes and they're dressing up the way the entity or demon,
00:14:41.700 whatever would,
00:14:42.320 would present itself.
00:14:43.900 So they,
00:14:44.300 they,
00:14:44.640 they'd represent themselves in that same way in order to evoke it.
00:14:48.800 And then they do evoke that,
00:14:50.420 that spirit.
00:14:51.140 He says,
00:14:51.560 dress like what you want to be possessed by.
00:14:53.560 Right.
00:14:53.920 Right.
00:14:54.140 And then that gets into like,
00:14:55.300 I mean,
00:14:55.520 my kid dressed as Spider-Man the other day.
00:14:57.400 And then we talking to,
00:14:58.320 we're thinking about like,
00:14:59.460 you want to be possessed by Spider-Man,
00:15:01.180 the nephilim nature of some of these superheroes.
00:15:04.080 True.
00:15:04.320 And the thing is,
00:15:04.840 it's like a lot of people don't know.
00:15:06.300 Most people don't know.
00:15:07.320 We're walking around and we're talking to people.
00:15:09.280 And if we tell them that they were like,
00:15:10.560 but what do you mean?
00:15:11.960 But I've gone down that rabbit hole and I've looked at that and I've seen it
00:15:16.500 and I know it's true.
00:15:18.140 So for me,
00:15:19.160 I feel like if I know that that is then true,
00:15:22.500 and then I still partake in it,
00:15:24.620 there is a bit of knowing and there's a little bit more,
00:15:28.000 there's more of a bit of participation on my part.
00:15:30.560 Does that make any sense?
00:15:32.240 I think to,
00:15:33.880 I'm sorry,
00:15:34.400 but just to kind of give the counter to that,
00:15:36.780 I think intent is really important.
00:15:39.480 So when you have these tribes and all these,
00:15:41.540 you know,
00:15:42.480 pagan tribal kind of areas and they're doing these dances around fine,
00:15:46.860 they're ingesting psychedelics and they're dressing like the entity that
00:15:50.620 they're trying to evoke or be possessed by.
00:15:53.520 There's a direct intent there.
00:15:55.040 That's the thing that they're trying to do.
00:15:56.520 Whereas your,
00:15:57.480 your child's not trying to be possessed by the spirit of Spider-Man.
00:16:00.640 That's why I let them do it.
00:16:01.580 But for me,
00:16:02.100 I'm like,
00:16:02.420 if I,
00:16:02.800 I just feel like if I know,
00:16:04.440 if I already know some of these things more intrinsically,
00:16:07.180 that that's going to already be in my head.
00:16:09.160 And then how much of that is a compliance or agreement with whatever we're doing?
00:16:14.380 It's a fair question.
00:16:14.920 Yeah.
00:16:15.160 It is actually a good point.
00:16:16.500 So,
00:16:16.900 and I,
00:16:17.520 I actually didn't go down that road before,
00:16:19.980 or in my video.
00:16:22.300 So this would be a new territory.
00:16:23.260 If you,
00:16:24.380 I think there is a line where you can only pretend so far.
00:16:27.960 For example,
00:16:28.780 if you want to like mess with a Ouija board as part of your Halloween celebration,
00:16:32.860 that's a problem.
00:16:33.860 Why?
00:16:34.260 Because that is intentionally doing something that you know is a cultic.
00:16:38.740 That's when it draws a line.
00:16:39.900 But me,
00:16:40.340 this year,
00:16:41.180 our,
00:16:41.340 our family thing,
00:16:42.380 we do a family theme every year when we go trickery and that's all we do.
00:16:45.260 We go around our neighborhood and we get candy from our neighbors and,
00:16:49.120 and we come back home.
00:16:50.320 That's it.
00:16:51.440 And this year we're,
00:16:52.480 we're doing a star Wars theme.
00:16:53.880 So,
00:16:54.200 you know,
00:16:55.160 my,
00:16:55.420 my youngest son says he wants to be a storm trooper.
00:16:57.720 So I said,
00:16:57.960 okay,
00:16:58.080 we're going to,
00:16:58.480 we'll do a star Wars theme.
00:16:59.300 He's going to be a storm trooper.
00:17:00.220 My oldest is going to be Darth Vader.
00:17:01.580 My wife's princess Leia.
00:17:02.640 And I'm going to be Luke Skywalker.
00:17:03.900 And I've got to show you a picture.
00:17:04.800 Wouldn't have my blonde wig on.
00:17:06.240 With the Jerry curls.
00:17:10.920 By the way,
00:17:11.920 hold on,
00:17:12.340 hold on.
00:17:12.760 I got to let the chat know that,
00:17:14.040 that before the show started,
00:17:16.100 it has been revealed to us that,
00:17:18.020 uh,
00:17:18.640 Ed Mabry used to sport a very,
00:17:21.020 uh,
00:17:21.420 admirable Jerry curl back in the day.
00:17:24.000 And we were told that we might receive some pictures.
00:17:27.160 So,
00:17:27.560 you know,
00:17:28.200 look forward to a new set of t-shirts coming out.
00:17:31.100 You might be a new set of t-shirts.
00:17:32.840 Yeah.
00:17:33.020 I,
00:17:33.180 I looked a lot like ice cube in the NWA days when I had my Jerry curl.
00:17:36.360 I had the whole,
00:17:37.040 it came down to,
00:17:37.740 bring it back.
00:17:38.520 Yeah.
00:17:38.700 It came almost,
00:17:39.400 it came down to the neck and I,
00:17:40.640 you know,
00:17:40.780 the front had like a little spit curl happening in the front too.
00:17:42.920 It was,
00:17:43.180 it was all good.
00:17:44.360 No,
00:17:44.600 I'm not,
00:17:44.900 I'm not kidding.
00:17:45.420 I will,
00:17:45.780 I will find a picture.
00:17:47.060 You got to find it.
00:17:48.060 You got to bring it back.
00:17:49.020 Um,
00:17:49.300 you know,
00:17:50.080 I just want to say too,
00:17:51.160 because you're,
00:17:51.620 you're talking about that star Wars thing.
00:17:53.240 I,
00:17:53.700 right now my son is out at school.
00:17:55.540 He's dressed as captain America.
00:18:01.100 I don't like the monster thing,
00:18:02.140 especially when they're really little.
00:18:03.160 Look,
00:18:03.840 if you become a teenager or whatever,
00:18:05.560 and you're going to go and do this thing.
00:18:06.820 And you know,
00:18:07.340 we all go through our,
00:18:08.260 our fallings.
00:18:08.840 I'm going to tell you,
00:18:09.440 I'm going to advise against it.
00:18:10.320 I'm going to explain why.
00:18:11.720 Um,
00:18:12.080 but you know,
00:18:12.580 your,
00:18:12.820 your journey is your journey.
00:18:13.800 And we all have to,
00:18:14.540 I think come to God.
00:18:15.360 If you,
00:18:15.620 if you try to force people,
00:18:16.760 uh,
00:18:17.320 it puts a bad taste in their mouth and they tend to recoil.
00:18:19.640 So,
00:18:20.080 but while he is a child,
00:18:21.440 there's no dressing up like a monster.
00:18:23.440 My mother did that to me.
00:18:24.480 She's like,
00:18:24.740 well,
00:18:24.860 this is of the occult.
00:18:25.660 And she's,
00:18:26.140 I think,
00:18:26.320 you know,
00:18:26.500 she's kind of right.
00:18:27.280 There are,
00:18:27.640 there are things happening.
00:18:29.000 This is a spiritually strong day.
00:18:31.160 The veil is specifically weak.
00:18:32.780 And I want to talk about that too.
00:18:33.980 People are doing that.
00:18:35.020 But when you say that to me,
00:18:36.760 I'm going to be like,
00:18:38.280 sounds like nonsense.
00:18:39.380 Yeah.
00:18:39.640 And then go the other way,
00:18:40.520 which I did for many years.
00:18:42.500 No,
00:18:42.900 I,
00:18:43.060 I totally get it.
00:18:43.940 And so that's why I want to give this copy.
00:18:46.900 I'll give out a few caveats because while I said,
00:18:49.300 it's okay to celebrate it.
00:18:50.700 I also gave some reasons why you should not celebrate it.
00:18:53.960 If you're a Christian.
00:18:54.460 And deal with it at all.
00:18:56.700 And I kind of couched it in,
00:18:58.560 in what the apostle Paul said about,
00:19:00.980 I think it was in Corinthians.
00:19:02.980 I could be wrong,
00:19:03.660 but he would talk about a stumbling block.
00:19:06.200 And you don't want to be a stumbling block to yourself or to anyone else.
00:19:09.360 And the example Paul gave was about eating meat,
00:19:11.380 sacrifice to idols.
00:19:12.600 Now that is one of the two things that the early church said that Gentiles
00:19:16.180 should not do.
00:19:16.780 They said,
00:19:17.180 don't,
00:19:17.500 don't commit fornication,
00:19:18.460 which is a sexual act with a spiritual connotation as part of,
00:19:21.800 of worshiping other gods.
00:19:23.660 And don't eat meat,
00:19:24.760 sacrifice to idols because that was,
00:19:26.980 again,
00:19:27.100 that was idolatry.
00:19:27.920 It was a ritual where you would put meat in front of this statue of the
00:19:31.140 idol and you would do rituals over it.
00:19:32.660 And part of it,
00:19:33.180 you would eat the meat.
00:19:34.080 And that was basically taking that entity into yourself.
00:19:37.360 But then Paul said he would eat the meat that was sacrificed to idols because he
00:19:41.940 wasn't participating in the ritual to him.
00:19:44.020 It was just meat.
00:19:44.940 He didn't,
00:19:45.380 these things had no power over him.
00:19:47.160 Paul had the Holy spirit in him as all Christians do.
00:19:49.420 And that means they had no power over him.
00:19:51.460 So to him,
00:19:51.840 he was like,
00:19:52.120 I'm hungry.
00:19:52.680 There's some meat here.
00:19:53.480 These people are just put it there.
00:19:55.180 I'm going to eat it because he wasn't participating in the ritual,
00:19:58.540 but he said he wouldn't do it in front of new Christians because it would be a
00:20:02.340 stumbling block to them.
00:20:03.340 Because let's say you were a first century Christian.
00:20:05.560 You had just come out of paganism,
00:20:06.720 which they all were.
00:20:07.600 There were really virtually no atheists back then.
00:20:09.960 You believed in some type of God or gods.
00:20:13.080 And if a young Christian who just came out of paganism and said,
00:20:16.640 and was told not to worship idols,
00:20:18.500 and they see this elder of the church,
00:20:20.680 this great apostle eating it,
00:20:21.880 they say,
00:20:22.120 well,
00:20:22.240 wait a minute,
00:20:22.560 maybe it's not so bad to do that.
00:20:24.240 And he says,
00:20:24.660 so he,
00:20:25.020 so Paul says,
00:20:25.580 I can do it,
00:20:26.960 but I'm not going to,
00:20:28.160 because it would be a stumbling block to others who look up to me.
00:20:31.020 So one reason not to do it as if it's a,
00:20:33.340 a stumbling block to yourself.
00:20:34.480 So if anyone's watching right now and they're really in violent agreement,
00:20:38.760 disagreement with what I just said,
00:20:40.400 don't celebrate Halloween because it's a stumbling block to you.
00:20:43.100 It's something that's going to negatively affect you.
00:20:44.980 So don't do it.
00:20:47.200 So that's,
00:20:47.920 if you're in a community that's,
00:20:49.440 or a church that is very strict about it.
00:20:51.160 And you may say,
00:20:52.080 you know what?
00:20:52.420 I,
00:20:52.860 you guys are going overboard.
00:20:54.000 I'm going to celebrate it anyway.
00:20:55.680 Maybe it's good.
00:20:56.580 I did not to do that because then people in your church are going to see you
00:20:59.720 doing it.
00:21:00.140 It's going to cause contention and it's not worth it.
00:21:03.340 Cause it could be a stumbling block to others.
00:21:05.820 So,
00:21:06.080 and another really good reason not to get,
00:21:08.360 not to celebrate Halloween is if you are a new Christian and you came out of
00:21:12.800 the occult.
00:21:14.200 So I've had some folks on Patreon tell me that,
00:21:16.500 you know,
00:21:16.600 they became a Christian fairly recently and they were really involved in the
00:21:19.280 new age and things like that beforehand.
00:21:21.000 They should not.
00:21:22.380 Why?
00:21:22.660 Because they're,
00:21:23.520 they're still in the process of being cleansed from all of that.
00:21:26.520 And it could be triggering to do anything that's anywhere close.
00:21:30.260 It's like an alcoholic.
00:21:31.120 You know,
00:21:31.380 if you give up,
00:21:33.100 if you start becoming sober and you give up alcoholism,
00:21:37.360 well,
00:21:37.480 you shouldn't go to a bar,
00:21:38.820 you know,
00:21:39.920 for a while because it's going to trigger you.
00:21:42.560 But I have friends who,
00:21:44.040 I have a friend who was a recovering alcoholic.
00:21:45.720 he's been,
00:21:46.080 he's been recovering for 20 years.
00:21:48.720 So,
00:21:49.220 and he is,
00:21:49.680 it's perfectly fine for him to go into a bar.
00:21:51.800 I,
00:21:52.300 I drink it.
00:21:53.020 I have a glass of wine or something in front of him and it doesn't bother
00:21:55.320 him.
00:21:55.540 Why?
00:21:55.740 Because he's matured through it.
00:21:57.520 He still doesn't drink,
00:21:58.700 but he's matured to the point where it's not triggering for him to see
00:22:02.400 alcohol or smell it or be around people who are drinking.
00:22:05.440 He just knows I'm not going to do it.
00:22:07.500 And it's the same thing.
00:22:08.120 If you are just freshly out of the occult paganism,
00:22:11.580 new age stuff,
00:22:12.280 then you probably shouldn't because it would be triggering for you.
00:22:15.280 And you wait until you've been completely cleansed and you've matured
00:22:18.020 more.
00:22:18.440 And then if you want to do it,
00:22:19.980 but I mean,
00:22:20.560 it's not something you have to do.
00:22:21.980 I mean,
00:22:22.400 once my kids are old enough that they don't want to go trick or treating
00:22:25.280 anymore,
00:22:25.560 I'm not going to do anything because I'm doing,
00:22:27.960 I'm doing it for them.
00:22:29.180 Honestly,
00:22:29.560 from the time I was a teenager until I had kids,
00:22:31.800 I didn't really do anything for Halloween because not because I was for it
00:22:35.760 or against it just had no appeal to me.
00:22:38.420 Yeah.
00:22:38.820 There's a,
00:22:39.720 well,
00:22:39.860 I guess I'll say,
00:22:40.500 I'll say it,
00:22:40.880 but so if,
00:22:43.380 if we were going to go trick or treating,
00:22:45.120 with the kids,
00:22:45.580 I don't think we have any plans for that,
00:22:46.780 but I'd be like,
00:22:47.380 yeah,
00:22:47.520 okay,
00:22:47.760 it's fine.
00:22:48.300 Let them get the candy.
00:22:50.060 But there was like a party that's lined up for sometime this weekend.
00:22:55.120 And my wife is like,
00:22:57.300 let's go.
00:22:57.740 And I'm like,
00:22:58.200 let's not,
00:22:59.200 I like the person,
00:23:00.260 but I feel like I'm like,
00:23:01.540 I don't know.
00:23:02.000 I feel like that's a weird invitation for,
00:23:04.240 uh,
00:23:06.000 it's,
00:23:06.400 it's just,
00:23:06.880 it's for me.
00:23:07.440 I'm like,
00:23:07.640 that's a little bit too much.
00:23:09.240 Well,
00:23:09.380 that I hear what you're saying.
00:23:10.420 There's actually like a dialing up of,
00:23:12.320 of malevolence.
00:23:14.640 Yeah.
00:23:15.120 In a way.
00:23:15.660 Right.
00:23:15.860 So,
00:23:16.220 so we're adding alcohol.
00:23:17.960 You're adding.
00:23:18.580 Yes.
00:23:19.040 There's going to be spirits,
00:23:20.000 right?
00:23:20.160 You're at,
00:23:20.460 you're adding spirits.
00:23:21.420 There's going to be like a,
00:23:22.420 some,
00:23:22.740 some sort of sexual element because you know,
00:23:24.820 the girls just can't control themselves.
00:23:26.560 Yeah.
00:23:26.760 They have to dress that way.
00:23:28.300 And what does women just say always?
00:23:29.840 What is it?
00:23:30.200 The nurse,
00:23:31.160 the slutty nurse or the cat?
00:23:32.560 Those are the two.
00:23:33.660 Those are the big ones.
00:23:34.820 Honestly,
00:23:35.560 it's,
00:23:35.860 it's become anything,
00:23:36.700 but showing your,
00:23:37.960 your tits also.
00:23:38.900 Pretty much.
00:23:39.620 Yeah.
00:23:39.960 Well,
00:23:40.160 maybe not.
00:23:40.780 I don't want to really be around.
00:23:42.020 It's not,
00:23:42.340 it's not because like,
00:23:42.900 I'm going to like,
00:23:45.860 but I don't want to be next to that imagery in my mind and all that other kind of crap too.
00:23:50.380 You know?
00:23:50.620 So,
00:23:50.900 so I don't appreciate that.
00:23:52.360 I will say to the woman that watched the show,
00:23:54.500 the women,
00:23:55.180 the women who watched the show.
00:23:57.300 Don't do that to me,
00:23:58.420 dude,
00:23:58.860 the woman,
00:23:59.540 I don't appreciate the attempt.
00:24:01.080 It's just the thing of like,
00:24:02.800 stop doing that to guys.
00:24:04.320 You're hijacking men's psychology.
00:24:07.760 Yeah.
00:24:07.980 But I mean,
00:24:08.440 they're primal instincts.
00:24:09.380 That's really what you do.
00:24:10.180 But they would go like,
00:24:10.940 Oh,
00:24:11.100 learn to control yourself.
00:24:12.160 If you can't see boobies without getting,
00:24:14.140 and it's like,
00:24:14.440 all right.
00:24:14.680 Yeah.
00:24:14.900 So don't do that to people.
00:24:15.860 It's not a nice thing.
00:24:16.700 Thousands of years of reproduction and,
00:24:18.680 and I don't know.
00:24:19.720 You know what?
00:24:20.300 I want to talk about that when we get to,
00:24:22.440 when we,
00:24:22.660 when we do the show on the masturbation thing,
00:24:24.640 because there's this thing,
00:24:25.780 and again,
00:24:26.380 women,
00:24:26.840 you're fantastic.
00:24:27.800 We love you.
00:24:28.720 You're wonderful.
00:24:29.860 You're God's gift.
00:24:31.040 However,
00:24:32.320 I have to have to do the caveat.
00:24:33.860 However,
00:24:34.520 there's sometimes they get a little holier than thou thing,
00:24:36.340 especially when it comes to pornography.
00:24:38.420 Yeah.
00:24:38.680 And this would just,
00:24:39.080 I'll give you a one minute preview.
00:24:40.420 It's one thing I'll talk about because you know,
00:24:42.280 when man masturbations is tied to pornography in many instances,
00:24:45.300 because we're visual.
00:24:47.480 That's how we,
00:24:48.560 we're attracted to visual.
00:24:49.880 That's why when you show your boobies,
00:24:51.000 I control yourself.
00:24:51.700 Well,
00:24:51.780 it's different for you.
00:24:53.260 Yes.
00:24:53.460 Of course,
00:24:53.820 women like to see a good looking guy,
00:24:55.140 but it's not,
00:24:55.660 it doesn't have the same effect.
00:24:57.340 Hmm.
00:24:58.280 Boarding for flight 246 to Toronto is delayed 50 minutes.
00:25:01.060 Ugh.

00:25:55.320 When a woman sees a naked man,
00:25:59.940 it is not nearly the same effect as when a man sees a naked woman.
00:26:04.260 I mean,
00:26:04.920 it's totally different.
00:26:06.320 I mean,
00:26:06.440 if you,
00:26:06.660 if you ever want to see a difference,
00:26:08.320 if you have the opportunity or you see it on a movie or something,
00:26:11.700 look at how men act in a strip club versus how women act in a male strip
00:26:15.440 club.
00:26:17.060 Women is a party to them.
00:26:18.580 And they're just like,
00:26:19.000 Oh,
00:26:19.160 this is crazy.
00:26:19.720 This is goofy.
00:26:20.240 They're just having fun.
00:26:21.120 Men at a strip club look like a lion staring down a group of gazelles.
00:26:25.400 It is.
00:26:25.600 You have to actively like,
00:26:26.900 as a dude,
00:26:27.500 you got to be like,
00:26:28.320 there is no community.
00:26:29.040 Stop looking at that.
00:26:29.560 Like in your mind.
00:26:30.440 And like,
00:26:30.760 there's no community in this,
00:26:32.000 in a strip club for men.
00:26:33.280 Everyone is like in there.
00:26:34.440 It's a weird thing.
00:26:35.380 Everyone's in their own zone.
00:26:37.220 I've never been to a,
00:26:38.180 but for women,
00:26:38.840 they're all,
00:26:39.300 yeah.
00:26:39.480 Like you see like the,
00:26:40.500 Ooh,
00:26:40.920 you know,
00:26:41.260 doing their thing.
00:26:41.960 It's fun.
00:26:42.940 But guys are like locked in.
00:26:44.320 Not good.
00:26:44.700 Yeah.
00:26:45.080 Yeah.
00:26:45.240 Women seeing a naked man.
00:26:46.140 It's funny most of the time because it's just goofy,
00:26:48.260 but women have their own form of pornography because it's easy for them to shake their
00:26:52.080 finger at men and say,
00:26:52.720 Oh,
00:26:52.800 you're looking at that nasty stuff on the screen.
00:26:54.480 And because you know,
00:26:54.960 it's an actual sexual act happening.
00:26:57.120 Yeah.
00:26:57.540 However,
00:26:57.820 women have their own thing that appeals to them.
00:27:00.380 And it's really a lot of these romance novels and these romantic romance novels.
00:27:05.020 It does the same thing.
00:27:06.060 What is pornography for a man?
00:27:07.560 It's a fantasy of some,
00:27:10.140 who someone who you want to be involved with,
00:27:12.060 who is not your spouse.
00:27:14.000 What are these romance?
00:27:15.240 50 shades of gray,
00:27:16.040 these movies,
00:27:16.480 what are they?
00:27:16.740 They were an unrealistic fantasy of a person you want to,
00:27:21.400 who you are,
00:27:22.200 get aroused by,
00:27:23.080 who is not your spouse.
00:27:25.180 It's the same thing.
00:27:27.340 And it's unrealistic.
00:27:28.520 You know,
00:27:28.640 nobody looks like a porn star,
00:27:29.880 even porn stars wake up in the morning.
00:27:31.320 They don't look like they're,
00:27:32.240 they don't look like porn stars.
00:27:33.320 And when they have puffy eyes and makeup's not on and the hairs are messed up.
00:27:37.000 That's not realistic.
00:27:37.820 Just like these men in these romance movies are not realistic.
00:27:41.020 Nobody looks like Ryan Gosling all the time.
00:27:44.060 No one has a six pack ab and a million dollar business and is tough,
00:27:49.240 but kind.
00:27:50.460 No,
00:27:50.980 that's not realistic.
00:27:52.000 Isn't the dichotomy hilarious?
00:27:53.400 Like,
00:27:54.080 like the guys,
00:27:54.660 when they watch it,
00:27:55.280 they're like,
00:27:55.780 they're in the dark place.
00:27:56.800 They're like,
00:27:56.980 don't look at me.
00:27:58.360 And the girls are like reading it.
00:28:00.220 Yeah.
00:28:00.520 They're in like a,
00:28:01.500 in a,
00:28:01.900 in a robe,
00:28:02.960 you know,
00:28:03.220 they're comfy,
00:28:03.940 cozy.
00:28:04.700 You're laying right next to me reading this stuff.
00:28:06.680 What are you doing?
00:28:07.220 Why is there a minotaur on the cover?
00:28:09.580 I,
00:28:09.920 so,
00:28:10.760 so,
00:28:11.240 um,
00:28:11.940 uh,
00:28:12.320 number one,
00:28:12.920 I,
00:28:13.060 I'd never been to a strip club.
00:28:14.020 Cause even when I was younger,
00:28:14.840 I was like,
00:28:15.220 I'm never like the idea of paying somebody to pretend they liked me was crazy.
00:28:18.280 And the idea of hanging out in the same room as my homies who were all erect was also crazy.
00:28:21.560 Stop it.
00:28:22.060 That's wild.
00:28:23.080 Um,
00:28:23.600 but it's not really helping this show.
00:28:25.600 He's trying,
00:28:26.380 he's trying,
00:28:27.160 but we keep just slipping.
00:28:28.560 So it's true.
00:28:29.200 I feel like you have to say it though.
00:28:30.660 Yeah.
00:28:31.060 What are you doing here?
00:28:31.720 We're all hanging out in this room together.
00:28:33.220 You're,
00:28:33.460 you're erect.
00:28:34.940 That's great.
00:28:35.460 Yeah.
00:28:35.700 Yeah.
00:28:36.160 So,
00:28:36.400 so,
00:28:36.760 so,
00:28:36.780 so,
00:28:36.820 so the whole point of that is ladies don't,
00:28:40.620 don't do that on Halloween.
00:28:42.160 And if,
00:28:42.700 if you're going to do it,
00:28:43.640 don't go to strip clubs on Halloween.
00:28:44.940 They're going to stare at you.
00:28:46.420 Yeah.
00:28:46.940 Yeah,
00:28:47.180 dude.
00:28:47.480 Well,
00:28:47.600 that's what they want.
00:28:48.360 Um,
00:28:48.680 so,
00:28:49.140 so,
00:28:49.300 so,
00:28:50.000 you know,
00:28:50.600 uh,
00:28:51.120 uh,
00:28:51.400 top is talking about this party and like,
00:28:53.660 you know,
00:28:53.880 it's an additional layer of putting your,
00:28:56.980 your energy and focus into this thing.
00:28:59.400 And that's a,
00:29:00.200 that's a really important thing I'd like to discuss is the energy of it.
00:29:03.700 All right.
00:29:03.940 You mentioned before,
00:29:04.740 it's like the,
00:29:05.480 the,
00:29:05.880 the fall equinox,
00:29:07.600 you know,
00:29:07.820 it's harvest season.
00:29:08.980 We've done some research on a lot of these like rituals and everything.
00:29:11.500 They take place during the,
00:29:14.000 I'll tell you a little bit more about the family off air.
00:29:16.280 Okay.
00:29:16.660 Oh,
00:29:16.900 I'm looking forward to it.
00:29:17.820 Yeah.
00:29:18.620 Um,
00:29:19.060 so,
00:29:19.500 so,
00:29:19.660 so,
00:29:19.780 you know,
00:29:19.940 these,
00:29:20.240 these rituals,
00:29:21.140 these pagan rituals,
00:29:21.940 they often take place during harvest season.
00:29:24.020 Right.
00:29:24.300 And there's like kind of a,
00:29:25.160 a,
00:29:25.360 a reason for that.
00:29:26.660 Like you're doing this so that you have a good harvest next season,
00:29:29.160 kind of a deal.
00:29:29.780 You have the harvest moon and that plays a role in it.
00:29:32.560 All the leading of the veil,
00:29:34.740 now,
00:29:35.140 now,
00:29:35.560 um,
00:29:35.800 think about this.
00:29:37.060 When we were younger,
00:29:37.960 ABC Fox family,
00:29:38.940 they used to do like 30 days of Halloween and they would play all these like Halloween movies.
00:29:42.300 And they're rather innocuous,
00:29:43.400 right?
00:29:43.540 You're talking about like children's movies,
00:29:44.880 like a Casper or the friendly ghost and things like that.
00:29:47.300 But what happens,
00:29:48.980 we're talking about the vibe,
00:29:50.360 right?
00:29:50.500 The energy for a month,
00:29:52.420 you're priming your house.
00:29:54.580 Let's say you're,
00:29:55.360 you're decorating it in this kind of spooky way.
00:29:58.000 Every night when the sun goes down and the sun goes down early in the fall,
00:30:01.660 you're gathering together and you're watching these spooky movies.
00:30:04.500 So every night you're setting this vibe,
00:30:06.880 every night you're,
00:30:07.860 you're sort of darkening the spiritual energy of your household.
00:30:12.020 And then it all culminates in this one big moment where everybody dresses in a certain way and goes and starts knocking on doors,
00:30:18.100 knocking on thresholds.
00:30:19.320 Like that's a weird thing,
00:30:20.280 right?
00:30:20.500 The,
00:30:20.720 the vampire principle of a thing has to knock and ask for permission to come in.
00:30:25.400 There are a lot of weird principles.
00:30:27.220 And I wonder at what point,
00:30:28.440 if any point intent doesn't necessarily have to be there because you're setting the,
00:30:34.460 the,
00:30:34.940 the mood to such a degree and you've been doing it for 30 days that you're at least thinning the veil in your own home.
00:30:40.480 Something even crazier is here.
00:30:41.580 It's like,
00:30:41.740 as you knock on their threshold and they go trick or treat and then,
00:30:45.020 then they give you like poison.
00:30:46.780 Hell yeah.
00:30:47.280 Like it's pretty established.
00:30:48.360 It's delicious poison though.
00:30:49.460 Oh,
00:30:49.580 it's the best.
00:30:50.180 Let me eat it.
00:30:50.800 When you go to the houses and they have a turkey baster filled with red dye 40 and you go step right up kids.
00:30:56.080 And they just drip right into your mouth.
00:30:57.820 Red 40.
00:30:58.460 And they're like,
00:30:58.860 there's some hormone disruptor for you.
00:31:00.680 Yeah.
00:31:00.780 A little soy.
00:31:01.760 Give that little boy breath.
00:31:02.900 Strange.
00:31:03.280 Just super strange,
00:31:04.340 man.
00:31:04.680 But what do you think about that?
00:31:05.840 And I mean,
00:31:06.560 the lead up to Halloween,
00:31:08.040 the,
00:31:08.420 the setting of the,
00:31:09.620 of the,
00:31:10.060 of the low vibrational spiritual ambiance in your own household,
00:31:14.340 um,
00:31:14.820 fear,
00:31:15.500 a little dose of fear every night,
00:31:17.480 30 days of Halloween.
00:31:18.360 We're watching these spooky movies every night.
00:31:20.260 And for 30 days,
00:31:21.500 you're geared towards that aspect of the spiritual realm.
00:31:24.240 What bugs me out too,
00:31:25.000 is the decorating part of it.
00:31:26.480 And,
00:31:26.660 and in tandem,
00:31:27.700 you'll go to home Depot and you'll see like a huge decapitated person.
00:31:32.280 And he's like,
00:31:32.840 Oh,
00:31:33.200 like shaking 12 foot tall skeleton.
00:31:35.160 And then,
00:31:35.360 and then a 15 foot tall Santa.
00:31:37.220 And I'm just like,
00:31:37.980 these things weird.
00:31:40.020 So you guys have a good point.
00:31:42.280 And,
00:31:42.460 and one of my,
00:31:43.160 my,
00:31:43.640 my old mentors,
00:31:44.560 I mentioned before,
00:31:45.180 Dr.
00:31:45.600 Chuck Missler,
00:31:46.020 who passed away a few years ago,
00:31:47.460 he,
00:31:48.400 he disagreed with me on this.
00:31:49.940 And by the way,
00:31:50.420 if you disagree with me on this,
00:31:51.840 I'm not going to fight you.
00:31:53.000 Like I said,
00:31:53.340 if it's a stumbling block,
00:31:54.360 don't do it.
00:31:55.380 But he,
00:31:56.000 he came out with a,
00:31:56.840 let's think of a video and an audio series called Halloween invitation to the
00:32:00.720 occult.
00:32:01.380 And what he said,
00:32:02.700 and,
00:32:03.500 and I understand why he was saying this.
00:32:04.900 And I get it.
00:32:05.760 Cause I think you're kind of saying the same thing,
00:32:07.060 Raven is that you may not be your intent to do it,
00:32:09.720 but you're starting down a path that could end that way.
00:32:14.220 Again,
00:32:14.580 you start with something that seems innocuous,
00:32:16.480 like a horror movie,
00:32:17.600 which I don't watch.
00:32:18.600 Cause we don't even watch it in our home.
00:32:19.720 Not because I'm afraid of them.
00:32:21.000 I just think they're goofy.
00:32:21.980 I mean,
00:32:22.420 they're always like,
00:32:22.960 there's a noise upstairs.
00:32:24.280 Go,
00:32:24.420 let's go check it out.
00:32:25.760 Like,
00:32:25.960 no,
00:32:26.080 there's a noise upstairs.
00:32:26.800 I'm leaving.
00:32:28.040 It's like,
00:32:28.560 I don't know.
00:32:29.620 You've seen the,
00:32:30.500 probably the jokes about how if there were a horror movies with black people,
00:32:34.000 they'd be five minutes long because we don't go towards danger.
00:32:37.540 We're like,
00:32:37.700 we have enough of this in our real life.
00:32:39.420 These horror movies have to take place in like the Northeast where people don't
00:32:43.380 have guns because not once do you see anybody ever investigate a house,
00:32:46.380 like with their shotgun,
00:32:47.480 like you hear a noise downstairs.
00:32:48.500 Like if I hear a noise,
00:32:49.460 I have my shotgun,
00:32:50.520 my shotgun has a flashlight on it.
00:32:51.780 I'm walking around the house,
00:32:53.040 even if it's a small noise,
00:32:54.180 just because,
00:32:55.000 you know,
00:32:55.240 I'm a psychopath.
00:32:56.280 Nobody ever does that.
00:32:57.120 It would be over really quickly.
00:32:58.220 I think if,
00:32:58.840 if that happened,
00:32:59.440 it's a different type of energy.
00:33:00.560 Nobody ever has a good,
00:33:01.400 you know,
00:33:02.400 Richard Pryor,
00:33:02.860 my favorite comedian of all time.
00:33:04.120 he had a bit on the,
00:33:06.440 what was it?
00:33:06.740 The,
00:33:06.900 I think it was the Amityville horror house.
00:33:08.560 It was like,
00:33:08.780 it was really big in this movie in the seventies where he said it would have been five minutes long.
00:33:13.280 It feels black people.
00:33:14.100 Cause he,
00:33:14.400 cause as soon as the house said,
00:33:15.840 hello,
00:33:16.380 he said goodbye.
00:33:19.060 Exactly.
00:33:19.580 Exactly.
00:33:19.940 But,
00:33:20.240 but the point is that,
00:33:21.360 you know,
00:33:21.840 you watch those kinds of movies and that could lead to,
00:33:25.100 and some of them will have seances in them and like Blair,
00:33:27.700 which kind of stuff,
00:33:28.520 which that's probably the last,
00:33:30.100 let you know how,
00:33:30.860 how old I am and how,
00:33:31.960 when the last time I watched a horror movie,
00:33:33.080 that might've been the last one I watched because I was at a,
00:33:35.460 I was,
00:33:35.660 I was working at a company where we watched it as like our,
00:33:39.320 as during our lunch breaks for Halloween.
00:33:41.160 And I'm like,
00:33:41.480 that movie freaked me out because that was scary movie.
00:33:44.180 It really was.
00:33:45.540 But,
00:33:46.100 but you get into that,
00:33:47.440 you know,
00:33:47.620 the seances and things like that.
00:33:48.920 And you say,
00:33:49.160 okay,
00:33:49.260 well this,
00:33:49.660 this movie is harmless.
00:33:50.660 Well,
00:33:50.860 maybe doing a G board is harmless or maybe doing all these different occultic
00:33:54.140 things.
00:33:54.340 So yes,
00:33:54.600 you can absolutely go down that road,
00:33:56.040 but that's what I'm talking about with intent.
00:33:58.080 Yeah.
00:33:58.520 At some point you do intentionally do something.
00:34:01.620 But,
00:34:02.140 but that's why our,
00:34:03.060 our responsibility,
00:34:03.820 if you are a mature Christian to know where that line is.
00:34:06.680 And my line again,
00:34:08.000 is going to get candy.
00:34:09.740 I don't go to,
00:34:10.560 no,
00:34:10.740 don't go to parties where people are only,
00:34:13.900 they have sour Skittles.
00:34:14.640 That's the only one I'll eat.
00:34:15.580 And I know it's unhealthy for me,
00:34:16.900 but I,
00:34:17.140 that's I I'm addicted to sour candy.
00:34:19.120 So then the sour Skittles are,
00:34:20.300 if,
00:34:21.060 if a,
00:34:21.440 if a house does not have sour Skittles,
00:34:23.520 I don't,
00:34:23.840 we don't go there next year.
00:34:25.620 Oh my God.
00:34:26.740 I just,
00:34:27.240 you know,
00:34:27.640 I like the seriousness that you said,
00:34:29.680 I didn't feel like that would,
00:34:30.740 there was any sarcasm detected.
00:34:32.080 There was no imbalance.
00:34:33.320 It was just like,
00:34:33.980 yeah,
00:34:34.120 dude,
00:34:34.340 I don't do that unless you have sour Skittles.
00:34:36.340 That's it.
00:34:36.580 But like,
00:34:36.900 other than that,
00:34:37.600 I show up to Bohemian Grove,
00:34:39.280 there's not sour Skittles.
00:34:40.240 I'm not,
00:34:40.480 I'm going to lean back.
00:34:41.600 Ed goes and knocks on the door and he doesn't say trick or treat.
00:34:44.120 He says sour Skittles.
00:34:45.000 If they say no,
00:34:45.720 he just walks away.
00:34:47.160 I will also accept Sour Patch Kids,
00:34:49.680 um,
00:34:50.220 Eric and all the air hits off it,
00:34:51.740 whatever the,
00:34:52.260 um,
00:34:52.340 the sour candy is.
00:34:53.120 I'm a big,
00:34:53.840 I'm big into chocolate.
00:34:54.860 That's my thing.
00:34:55.400 I don't do the sour candies.
00:34:56.480 I don't do the,
00:34:57.100 the,
00:34:57.340 the fruity candies,
00:34:58.060 but chocolate is a real problem for me.
00:35:00.140 And my kid doesn't like chocolate.
00:35:02.080 So he'll come back with a sack and I'll just separate all of his Snickers,
00:35:05.560 Milky way.
00:35:06.220 That's all mine.
00:35:06.980 He's like,
00:35:07.300 good riddance.
00:35:07.920 I'm like,
00:35:08.220 that's awesome,
00:35:08.860 man.
00:35:09.280 It's like having a small slave that collects candy for you.
00:35:11.960 You know,
00:35:12.420 it is awesome.
00:35:12.940 Except if somebody has candy corn,
00:35:15.000 I swear I will,
00:35:15.600 I will send,
00:35:16.560 I will try to have God send a curse to your home.
00:35:18.500 If you,
00:35:18.720 if you give me candy corn,
00:35:20.420 candy corn,
00:35:21.200 of course you like candy corn,
00:35:22.840 dude,
00:35:23.020 you are a candy corn ass.
00:35:24.900 Dude,
00:35:25.340 that is so disappointing.
00:35:26.760 The language.
00:35:27.420 I'm sorry.
00:35:27.860 I stopped myself.
00:35:29.300 It has an interesting thing.
00:35:30.680 I like the three colors and I'm,
00:35:32.620 I don't think they taste different though.
00:35:34.260 I've tried,
00:35:34.980 I've bit the white part off,
00:35:36.540 then the orange part,
00:35:37.280 and then the yellow part.
00:35:37.960 And I've found that's all the same flavor,
00:35:39.900 dude.
00:35:40.420 Yes.
00:35:40.860 But psychologically.
00:35:42.040 Yeah.
00:35:42.340 But in all seriousness,
00:35:43.100 yes,
00:35:43.360 you can't go down that road.
00:35:44.500 And I've,
00:35:45.000 I've known people who have,
00:35:46.100 I,
00:35:46.400 I have a friend of mine who,
00:35:48.380 you know,
00:35:48.720 she,
00:35:49.120 she's a Christian and,
00:35:50.760 but she was kind of dabbling in some of the whole,
00:35:53.380 you know,
00:35:53.500 the universe is blah,
00:35:54.620 blah,
00:35:54.820 blah,
00:35:55.040 sort of thing.
00:35:55.560 And when she had one of her aunt died,
00:35:57.340 she actually went to a medium because she went to speak to her aunt.
00:35:59.980 I'm like,
00:36:00.260 that's,
00:36:00.800 you're going too far down the road.
00:36:02.820 I think I've told you guys before that,
00:36:04.180 like my favorite city to visit,
00:36:06.020 I do it almost yearly is new Orleans.
00:36:08.000 Love new Orleans.
00:36:08.680 Yeah.
00:36:08.840 It's a cool,
00:36:09.380 it's a cool place except for the human dookie.
00:36:11.680 Well,
00:36:12.020 there's that,
00:36:13.040 but you just stay out,
00:36:13.900 stay off of bourbon street.
00:36:14.780 I mean,
00:36:14.960 there's,
00:36:15.260 we don't,
00:36:15.880 I mean,
00:36:16.320 that's,
00:36:16.760 you do that when you're,
00:36:17.520 when you're younger,
00:36:18.100 I,
00:36:18.280 we,
00:36:18.500 we usually stay in the garden district or someplace like that.
00:36:21.180 And I'll read,
00:36:22.080 we didn't go down.
00:36:22.560 What I love is I said human dookie and he knew what street it was on.
00:36:26.040 Yeah,
00:36:26.240 dude,
00:36:27.600 it is.
00:36:28.000 That's exactly where it was.
00:36:29.080 You do Mardi Gras once and then that's all you have to do it.
00:36:31.440 But my point is,
00:36:32.500 it's a very occultic city.
00:36:35.260 And you just know to stay away from that kind of stuff.
00:36:37.180 I don't go into,
00:36:38.080 you know,
00:36:38.240 there's all these little witchcraft shops and things like that.
00:36:40.280 And most of it is just hokey.
00:36:41.260 It's not real,
00:36:41.740 but some of them are real.
00:36:43.260 I went into one of them with,
00:36:44.520 with that same friend.
00:36:46.020 She,
00:36:46.740 she and I went and she was trying,
00:36:48.980 and she had just broken up with her boyfriend and she wanted to get back together with him.
00:36:52.280 And so she went to this person who said that she would cast a love spell.
00:36:55.380 And I'm like,
00:36:55.840 sweetheart,
00:36:56.220 you know,
00:36:56.640 that's not,
00:36:57.260 you know,
00:36:57.620 that's not cool.
00:36:58.360 But she was an actual witch.
00:36:59.860 So they do have that.
00:37:01.140 And I'm like,
00:37:01.520 that's where you have to start to draw the line.
00:37:02.940 That's where it takes maturity.
00:37:04.300 So as I said,
00:37:04.840 if it's a stumbling block,
00:37:05.740 don't do it.
00:37:06.900 But my whole point in this is not to tell you how to behave.
00:37:11.120 My point is that you shouldn't feel guilty about getting some candy with your kids.
00:37:15.820 You shouldn't feel guilty about an office party where you guys,
00:37:19.040 you know,
00:37:19.260 dress up like the Incredibles or whatever,
00:37:21.240 whatever you're,
00:37:22.480 whatever you're,
00:37:22.900 you're going to do.
00:37:23.680 Don't feel guilty about it because a lot of people use guilt to try to enslave you.
00:37:28.040 In the heat of battle,
00:37:29.460 your squad relies on you.
00:37:31.080 Don't let them down.

00:38:28.280 And you have,
00:38:29.880 don't ask what's acceptable for man.
00:38:32.020 Ask what's acceptable to God.
00:38:33.820 And God does not want you to go down that road of,
00:38:36.520 you know,
00:38:36.700 going into the occult.
00:38:37.740 But if you're just,
00:38:38.920 if you're just having a little fun and you're not going down the road of the occult,
00:38:43.600 I don't want you to be in the bondage of unnecessary guilt.
00:38:46.680 We have a lot of things that we should feel guilt about,
00:38:49.260 but that should come from the Holy Spirit.
00:38:51.040 And remember,
00:38:52.040 and I,
00:38:52.700 it's funny because I had another question on my Patreon before about how to hear from God.
00:38:56.800 And it's a whole thing.
00:38:58.240 And that's,
00:38:58.460 it'll be part of my spiritual warfare class.
00:39:00.240 The difference between hearing from God versus hearing from another entity,
00:39:04.020 because they will all speak to you spiritually.
00:39:05.700 The difference in the voice is that when you hear from God,
00:39:09.260 it's not loud.
00:39:10.780 Elijah said this.
00:39:11.580 He said,
00:39:12.020 when he said,
00:39:13.080 I saw a whirlwind,
00:39:14.940 but God was not in the whirlwind.
00:39:16.500 I,
00:39:16.840 there was an earthquake,
00:39:17.420 but God was not in the earthquake.
00:39:18.720 But then I heard a still small voice.
00:39:20.400 And that's where God was.
00:39:21.760 God does not shout at you.
00:39:23.280 The spirit of God will not yell at you.
00:39:25.260 He will not oppress you.
00:39:26.660 It will be a still small voice.
00:39:28.880 It will be that little thing.
00:39:30.340 When you do something wrong,
00:39:31.880 you get that little feeling.
00:39:32.620 You know,
00:39:32.860 that's not right.
00:39:33.660 It's not yelling at you.
00:39:34.620 When someone,
00:39:36.340 when you feel guilt and oppression,
00:39:38.160 that's not from God.
00:39:39.540 Not that you won't feel guilty,
00:39:40.780 but I mean,
00:39:41.040 when it's like really loud,
00:39:42.560 when it's really oppressive,
00:39:45.260 God doesn't,
00:39:45.900 that's not how he communicates.
00:39:47.480 So just know that if you're told that if you feel guilty,
00:39:51.540 because you dressed up in a,
00:39:53.540 in a,
00:39:54.060 well,
00:39:54.180 not in a,
00:39:54.720 in the sexy nurse costume,
00:39:55.800 but if you just,
00:39:56.460 you know,
00:39:56.820 dressed up in like a regular costume.
00:39:57.500 You should feel guilty.
00:39:57.980 If you're a sexy nurse out there,
00:39:59.560 you should feel guilty.
00:40:00.900 Yeah.
00:40:01.320 It's probably not coming from God.
00:40:03.160 Yeah.
00:40:03.660 But you should be sensitive.
00:40:04.620 Towards it.
00:40:05.640 Ed,
00:40:06.020 it was,
00:40:06.980 this is kind of like a good segue.
00:40:08.800 The previous thing you said,
00:40:10.000 we had some questions from you last weekend.
00:40:12.320 I was looking through some of them.
00:40:13.720 And the first one here that stood out was a question to you from John.
00:40:17.360 He says,
00:40:18.400 I'd love to know Ed's take on Saul consulting a medium to speak to the spirit of
00:40:22.960 Samuel.
00:40:23.600 And first Samuel 28,
00:40:24.940 I go back and forth on what's actually going on and what soul is actually
00:40:29.460 speaking to.
00:40:29.960 I think he's talking about the witch of Endor.
00:40:31.360 Before you answer that,
00:40:32.920 Ed,
00:40:33.140 I just want to say to the audience,
00:40:35.080 a little divided right now,
00:40:36.540 75 versus 25,
00:40:38.640 75 in favor of no,
00:40:40.180 75% in favor of no.
00:40:41.420 Should Christians celebrate Halloween?
00:40:42.640 If you guys are listening,
00:40:43.920 we're doing a live poll on YouTube.
00:40:46.260 Dangerous retards,
00:40:46.960 very staunch on not celebrating Halloween.
00:40:49.740 So I'll let that poll go for the rest of it.
00:40:52.220 But yeah,
00:40:52.500 that's,
00:40:52.740 that's an interesting topic.
00:40:53.740 What do you think about that,
00:40:54.680 Ed?
00:40:55.220 If you,
00:40:55.740 if you don't want to celebrate it,
00:40:57.020 then don't,
00:40:58.000 you don't have to.
00:40:58.540 No,
00:40:58.740 no,
00:40:58.900 I mean on the,
00:40:59.400 on the witch of Endor situation.
00:41:01.040 Oh,
00:41:01.240 okay.
00:41:01.500 Okay.
00:41:01.940 Well,
00:41:02.200 what's the poll?
00:41:02.840 I'm going to say,
00:41:03.180 I'm not going to disagree with you.
00:41:04.000 70 to 75%.
00:41:05.120 Don't do it.
00:41:06.120 Absolutely not.
00:41:07.140 If you don't want to celebrate it,
00:41:08.360 you don't have to.
00:41:08.980 There's nothing that says you have to celebrate it.
00:41:11.180 But what I'm telling you that is that if you do want to go trick or treating
00:41:13.780 with your kids,
00:41:14.360 it's not a sin,
00:41:15.840 but you don't have to,
00:41:17.260 you don't have to celebrate Arbor day if you don't want to.
00:41:19.220 But what I'm saying is that for,
00:41:21.200 for those who feel oppressed by it and feel this guilt and am I doing
00:41:23.860 something wrong with my kids by dressing them up like Spider-Man and
00:41:27.540 Captain America and going to it.
00:41:29.060 That's not a sin.
00:41:30.700 It really isn't.
00:41:32.660 Okay.
00:41:33.140 But the witch of Endor,
00:41:33.940 that's a good one.
00:41:34.620 Cause that's the question that I've,
00:41:36.060 I had in the past.
00:41:37.140 So was it really the spirit of,
00:41:41.140 of,
00:41:41.860 of Samuel?
00:41:43.940 And I believe it was.
00:41:46.360 And here.
00:41:47.340 So what was happening here was that Samuel had been,
00:41:50.940 basically Saul's spiritual consultant.
00:41:52.840 Cause you know,
00:41:53.280 Samuel was a,
00:41:54.080 was a prop.
00:41:55.120 He was actually the last judge because before the Israelites wanted a King,
00:41:58.900 they,
00:41:59.720 you know,
00:42:00.080 God gave him judges to,
00:42:01.520 to judge them.
00:42:02.260 But that doesn't mean like,
00:42:03.000 you know,
00:42:03.140 our,
00:42:03.320 our judge in the sense of what we have in courts.
00:42:05.640 It was a judge,
00:42:06.440 basically a leader,
00:42:07.340 a temporary leader that when they had tough times,
00:42:10.660 they would rely on the judge and the judge would,
00:42:13.160 would,
00:42:13.460 would help them and lead them.
00:42:15.120 But the goal was for God to be their King.
00:42:17.900 God didn't want them to have a physical King over them because,
00:42:21.420 and this is really important.
00:42:22.600 And I have this on,
00:42:23.500 on my faith by reason.net site.
00:42:26.840 If you go to the category of human government,
00:42:30.400 which I,
00:42:30.900 I really explained the whole purpose of human government.
00:42:33.180 And the definition of a King is not a ruler.
00:42:35.860 A King is someone is supposed to be temporary.
00:42:39.040 A King should only rule during times of war.
00:42:42.580 That is the purpose of a King.
00:42:44.760 A King is to be over people during the time of war.
00:42:47.440 When there's not a war,
00:42:49.200 the people do not need a King.
00:42:51.580 And if you look in the Bible,
00:42:53.660 they only had a King because they,
00:42:55.140 they kept requesting it of God.
00:42:56.720 And why did they make Saul their first King?
00:42:59.400 Because Saul was unusually tall.
00:43:01.820 Why did that matter?
00:43:02.960 Because who were their enemies?
00:43:05.060 They were,
00:43:05.780 their enemies were the Nephilim,
00:43:07.760 those Nephilim tribes that they didn't drive out where they were supposed to.
00:43:11.220 So they wanted a King who was tall,
00:43:14.260 who was going to lead them in battle to fight the Nephilim who were tall,
00:43:17.620 Goliath,
00:43:18.320 for example.
00:43:19.140 And remember Saul chickened out and had to have a little David fight the Nephilim,
00:43:22.300 Goliath for him.
00:43:23.740 So,
00:43:24.180 and David was a King ordained by God.
00:43:26.980 Why?
00:43:27.240 Because David's job was to wipe out the Philistines.
00:43:30.780 And once he did that,
00:43:32.220 he was supposed that,
00:43:33.320 then that should have been the end.
00:43:34.380 Then he should have been a leader,
00:43:35.460 not a King.
00:43:36.380 And when did David get in trouble with Bathsheba when he was not on the battlefield,
00:43:41.800 when he actually stayed back.
00:43:43.920 And then he saw her,
00:43:45.020 you know,
00:43:45.680 you know,
00:43:45.940 bathing on the top on the,
00:43:47.660 on a rooftop.
00:43:48.080 And like a man,
00:43:48.960 we just talked about this before,
00:43:49.900 you know,
00:43:50.780 he saw a naked woman and buying and off he goes.
00:43:53.600 And he gets in trouble because he wasn't doing his job of a King.
00:43:57.620 Solomon never,
00:43:59.020 he was,
00:43:59.600 he was made King and he never had a battle.
00:44:02.020 What happened to Saul?
00:44:03.020 Solomon fell away.
00:44:04.620 He married all these women who turned this to turn,
00:44:07.160 who turns heart from the Lord and all sorts of things.
00:44:09.600 So that's the whole thing with King.
00:44:11.560 So with Saul,
00:44:12.620 Samuel was the judge.
00:44:15.260 Then he was,
00:44:16.280 he was Saul's advisor.
00:44:17.700 Saul was just supposed to do what David,
00:44:19.620 David did Saul's job,
00:44:20.960 but Saul was supposed to wipe them out.
00:44:22.240 But Saul was actually a coward.
00:44:23.720 And when Samuel died,
00:44:26.140 Saul should have been relying on God,
00:44:27.840 but he didn't.
00:44:28.700 And so he went to this medium to get the spirit of Saul so that he could get
00:44:33.700 that advice again.
00:44:34.700 That's,
00:44:35.060 that was not God's will.
00:44:36.140 And reason why I believe it was really Saul,
00:44:38.020 why it was really Samuel was because the witch at Endor was surprised.
00:44:44.420 She was a charlatan.
00:44:45.640 She was a fake.
00:44:47.020 She was not,
00:44:47.860 she was not real.
00:44:48.880 She didn't really,
00:44:49.480 she was going to do what most of these people in these seances do.
00:44:52.120 They just pretend or they,
00:44:53.480 or they speak with a familiar spirit of the,
00:44:56.680 of the person.
00:44:58.260 She was shocked when Samuel showed up,
00:45:00.640 meaning that this was unexpected.
00:45:02.860 It was actually Samuel.
00:45:04.360 And God was speaking to him through Samuel.
00:45:07.280 Just,
00:45:07.720 and,
00:45:07.800 and,
00:45:08.100 you know,
00:45:08.200 what Samuel said to him was a,
00:45:09.460 he basically cursed him.
00:45:11.500 And this was God's be doing this through Samuel.
00:45:13.380 Samuel was like,
00:45:13.760 Samuel was like,
00:45:14.240 why are you bothering me?
00:45:15.100 I'm in paradise now.
00:45:16.060 I don't want to be here anymore.
00:45:17.520 So God sent me here to speak to you.
00:45:20.340 So that gives us a couple of interesting principles.
00:45:22.460 One is that apparently it is possible for a person who is dead.
00:45:29.780 If God allows it to,
00:45:31.560 to come back and speak to someone,
00:45:33.900 but it seems to be unusual.
00:45:35.660 And,
00:45:36.100 but it's not going to be done through an occultist.
00:45:40.580 So what do we do with that?
00:45:41.920 I don't know.
00:45:42.180 It's the only example of it in the Bible,
00:45:43.400 but again,
00:45:44.320 remember the Bible is not just a comprehensive history book.
00:45:46.840 It's really telling you Jehovah's story.
00:45:49.380 And it's giving you his precepts and principles so that you know who he is.
00:45:54.460 So yeah.
00:45:55.540 Can you speak from,
00:45:57.140 could someone speak from the dead apparently,
00:46:00.280 but it's,
00:46:01.080 but anything,
00:46:01.980 anytime that happens,
00:46:02.720 you have to look at it from the standpoint of what Jehovah is allowing.
00:46:05.940 And that would be something that's going to be in line with his will.
00:46:09.200 Another example of that is when Jesus wrote the story,
00:46:12.220 which was not a parable.
00:46:13.080 It was a story of the,
00:46:14.280 of Lazarus and the rich man,
00:46:15.720 not the Lazarus he raised from the dead,
00:46:16.960 but the story was about,
00:46:18.620 you know,
00:46:18.740 there was a rich man and there was Lazarus who was a beggar and he would,
00:46:22.720 you know,
00:46:23.080 sit at the rich man's gate and beg for food.
00:46:25.060 And the rich man would send his dogs after Lazarus.
00:46:28.100 But eventually this Lazarus died.
00:46:29.920 And he went to,
00:46:30.920 and the reason we know it's not a parable is because these are people who have
00:46:33.640 names.
00:46:34.540 None of the,
00:46:34.900 no one in the other parables,
00:46:37.000 Jesus never gives anyone's names because they're just examples.
00:46:39.520 I believe this was a real.
00:46:40.440 So he went to,
00:46:43.360 to paradise,
00:46:44.480 Abraham's bosom,
00:46:45.140 which is where the righteous dead would go before Jesus's death and
00:46:48.160 resurrection.
00:46:48.680 Well,
00:46:48.760 now if you're righteous and dead,
00:46:49.720 you go,
00:46:49.980 you go directly to,
00:46:51.600 to heaven.
00:46:52.620 And then you had the other compartment of Hades,
00:46:54.380 which was torment.
00:46:55.860 And,
00:46:56.420 and they were able to,
00:46:58.340 they were speaking to each other.
00:46:59.340 So when you're dead,
00:47:00.460 you still have consciousness.
00:47:02.260 And the rich man told,
00:47:04.560 he told Abraham,
00:47:06.040 he said,
00:47:06.420 can you go tell my brothers to get their lives together?
00:47:09.040 So they don't end up here.
00:47:10.760 And Abraham talked to him and said,
00:47:12.040 Hey,
00:47:12.220 you know,
00:47:12.540 they have the profit.
00:47:13.680 Your brothers have the profits.
00:47:14.880 They have the,
00:47:15.700 they have the scriptures.
00:47:16.680 If they don't believe that they're not going to believe me.
00:47:19.480 Meaning that Abraham did say,
00:47:21.100 because I can't do it.
00:47:22.560 He said,
00:47:23.180 well,
00:47:23.280 because it's not going to help them.
00:47:25.940 So if someone does,
00:47:27.800 so it appears to be,
00:47:28.920 and this is controversial,
00:47:29.840 but it,
00:47:30.340 there appears to be the possibility that someone can speak to people who are
00:47:35.060 alive from,
00:47:35.680 from the,
00:47:36.280 from the place of the dead.
00:47:38.020 But,
00:47:38.280 but it looks like if you look at the example of Abraham and this rich man,
00:47:42.000 only that the rich man can't do it.
00:47:44.400 Apparently.
00:47:44.820 So he,
00:47:45.280 so if you are dead,
00:47:46.800 evil dead,
00:47:47.300 not the movie evil dead,
00:47:48.160 but if you are a dead person and,
00:47:50.460 and,
00:47:50.740 and you are in torment in Hades,
00:47:52.960 you can't come back and speak to people because the rich man couldn't do it.
00:47:58.000 If he could,
00:47:58.480 he would have,
00:47:58.920 so it appears that only God has the power to allow someone to do that in the
00:48:04.680 case of Samuel.
00:48:05.340 And in the case of Abraham,
00:48:07.040 if that was,
00:48:07.940 if that request was going to be honored,
00:48:10.500 Abraham didn't say he couldn't,
00:48:11.340 he just said he wouldn't.
00:48:12.740 So that said,
00:48:14.140 if,
00:48:14.560 if you do believe that someone is speaking to you from the dead,
00:48:17.940 first of all,
00:48:18.400 they would have to be among the righteous dead.
00:48:20.780 And secondly,
00:48:21.220 they would only say something in line with the will of God.
00:48:23.760 If they,
00:48:24.500 if,
00:48:24.760 if,
00:48:24.780 if those circumstances aren't there,
00:48:26.300 then I would highly doubt that that,
00:48:28.460 if that's really that person.
00:48:30.180 It almost seems like the difference between you forcing a thing and God
00:48:35.500 sending someone.
00:48:37.120 Yeah.
00:48:39.960 Interesting.
00:48:40.740 All right.
00:48:40.900 I've had people tell me,
00:48:41.920 and again,
00:48:42.200 I don't,
00:48:42.820 and that they've had dreams.
00:48:44.000 And again,
00:48:44.240 I can't say it's happened or not because I don't know the person's dream,
00:48:46.700 but they,
00:48:47.100 they said they dreamed of one of their dead relatives who came back and gave
00:48:51.780 him advice.
00:48:52.320 And it was good advice and they followed it and good things happened.
00:48:57.020 I've also heard stories of people who were visited by loved ones who passed
00:49:02.180 away that they were very close with.
00:49:04.080 And then over time,
00:49:05.460 these visitations continued.
00:49:07.340 And as they continued,
00:49:08.660 they got stranger and stranger until eventually this thing revealed itself to
00:49:13.020 not actually,
00:49:14.300 you know,
00:49:14.640 to be masquerading as their loved one.
00:49:16.160 So that's,
00:49:16.560 that's really the issue too,
00:49:17.700 is like this,
00:49:18.440 these spirits have the ability to masquerade.
00:49:22.280 They can come to you as a loved one.
00:49:24.480 So,
00:49:25.440 you know,
00:49:25.660 that's,
00:49:26.000 I think a huge gamble when you're somebody who,
00:49:29.660 who thinks they have the ability to communicate with deceased loved ones.
00:49:34.360 You don't really know what you're communicating with.
00:49:36.720 And I think just by the nature of communicating with something spiritual,
00:49:42.280 you let your guard down and you just go,
00:49:44.380 this is amazing.
00:49:45.060 Must be real.
00:49:45.580 Must be truthful.
00:49:46.660 Must be honestly what it's claiming to be.
00:49:49.800 And it's like just the,
00:49:51.280 the,
00:49:51.700 the wildness of having that interaction.
00:49:54.000 It's like,
00:49:54.540 people don't even ask that question.
00:49:55.620 Like,
00:49:55.800 how do I know that this isn't something?
00:49:57.400 And I've heard enough stories where that thing goes south and it turns out not to be grandma,
00:50:03.900 let's say.
00:50:04.420 And in the heat of battle,
00:50:06.880 your squad relies on you.
00:50:08.240 Don't let them down.

00:51:05.340 or communicating with,
00:51:07.220 strengthening the bond between you
00:51:08.760 and some negative spiritual entity,
00:51:10.520 some sort of demon or something like that.
00:51:12.040 So, yeah,
00:51:13.000 best to let God send them.
00:51:15.000 Right, yeah.
00:51:15.560 The Apostle Paul said,
00:51:17.280 verbatim,
00:51:18.420 he says,
00:51:18.900 don't believe every spirit,
00:51:21.460 but discern the spirits.
00:51:22.960 So,
00:51:23.280 he's acknowledging that spirits are going to speak to you.
00:51:26.300 They say you need to know the discernment,
00:51:27.660 and the discernment is
00:51:28.560 no one from God is ever going to contradict God.
00:51:31.080 No one from God is ever going to say anything that goes against the will of God,
00:51:35.180 which is why it's so important in that discernment
00:51:37.080 to know the will of God,
00:51:39.300 to know the character of God.
00:51:41.280 I mean,
00:51:41.740 that's the whole purpose of my Bible study,
00:51:43.300 is just to help people know who God is,
00:51:47.220 and who he isn't,
00:51:48.380 and what his will is,
00:51:49.820 so that when you are confronted spiritually,
00:51:51.980 you know,
00:51:52.400 hey,
00:51:52.540 that's not God,
00:51:53.660 because this isn't in his character,
00:51:55.620 this isn't in his will.
00:51:56.360 But in order to do that,
00:51:57.120 you have to know what his will is.
00:51:58.340 You have to know what his purpose is.
00:52:00.620 And if you don't,
00:52:01.540 then you can be fooled.
00:52:03.060 Something even more tricky is like,
00:52:04.940 I think when God talks to you,
00:52:06.740 it's not,
00:52:08.080 I'm sure he's being specific,
00:52:09.840 but maybe we're just too dumb to perceive it.
00:52:12.460 So like,
00:52:12.880 not just hearing,
00:52:14.000 but also understanding exactly
00:52:15.800 what it is you're supposed to do.
00:52:18.620 Like,
00:52:19.040 I don't know,
00:52:19.900 I think we were supposed to do this thing in the coffee shop,
00:52:22.540 had that inclination,
00:52:24.340 ended up at the wrong coffee shop.
00:52:25.880 Yeah.
00:52:26.860 Really weird.
00:52:27.820 In retrospect,
00:52:28.760 thinking about it,
00:52:29.320 and I was like,
00:52:29.580 I was close.
00:52:31.720 But no,
00:52:33.000 not that.
00:52:34.180 Almost,
00:52:34.720 but not quite.
00:52:35.580 Not specific.
00:52:36.500 Yeah.
00:52:37.280 This is such a wild question.
00:52:38.940 We have a couple of questions.
00:52:40.280 This one pertains to another one.
00:52:42.440 Super chat here.
00:52:43.440 Ed,
00:52:44.140 do you think baptism is necessary?
00:52:46.420 If so,
00:52:46.840 could you baptize me at Brogrove?
00:52:49.440 Oh my God.
00:52:50.700 Shout out to LexCorp.
00:52:51.760 Baptisms at Brogrove.
00:52:53.300 Wow.
00:52:53.840 What's happening here?
00:52:54.860 Awesome.
00:52:55.600 So,
00:52:56.540 first of all,
00:52:57.900 I'd be honored to,
00:52:58.780 I have to bring my swim trunks,
00:53:00.480 but do that.
00:53:01.480 So,
00:53:01.940 is baptism necessary?
00:53:03.620 Is it necessary for salvation?
00:53:05.800 If that's the question,
00:53:06.840 the answer is no.
00:53:08.440 It's not necessary for salvation.
00:53:10.560 What baptism is,
00:53:11.480 it is an outward sign to others,
00:53:14.100 that of your dedication.
00:53:15.540 But it doesn't have to be baptized.
00:53:16.760 You don't have to be baptized in order to be saved.
00:53:18.300 How do we know that?
00:53:18.860 Well,
00:53:19.760 among other things,
00:53:20.240 the thief on the cross.
00:53:22.560 Jesus told him,
00:53:23.780 this day you will be with me in paradise.
00:53:25.580 Well,
00:53:25.760 he didn't get baptized.
00:53:27.820 You're saved by believing.
00:53:29.480 And I know that goes against a lot of Catholicism,
00:53:32.440 where,
00:53:32.580 you know,
00:53:32.680 they do infant baptism,
00:53:35.360 which,
00:53:35.840 it doesn't harm anything.
00:53:37.860 There's nothing harmful about it,
00:53:39.240 but it's not,
00:53:40.920 you're not saved by someone sprinkling water on you.
00:53:44.620 That's actually in the,
00:53:45.560 that's this question here in Patreon.
00:53:48.320 They're asking about infant baptism
00:53:49.920 and standing or running water,
00:53:52.160 but please continue.
00:53:53.340 God wants you to accept Jesus by your free will.
00:53:57.660 You can't,
00:53:58.420 you can't baptize someone
00:53:59.780 and force them to be a Christian.
00:54:01.840 And it's unfortunate because a lot of people,
00:54:04.640 a lot of quote unquote,
00:54:05.900 Catholic folk think that they are saved
00:54:08.420 because they got water sprinkled on them
00:54:10.960 when they were a baby
00:54:11.720 and they don't have to do anything else.
00:54:13.960 Or they can just,
00:54:15.280 you know,
00:54:15.500 participate in the rituals and whatnot.
00:54:16.980 No,
00:54:17.200 you have to accept it.
00:54:18.360 The Bible,
00:54:19.100 Paul is abundantly clear.
00:54:20.220 And it really amazes me that people
00:54:21.520 won't keep wanting to add,
00:54:22.960 keep wanting to add things
00:54:23.800 or take away from it.
00:54:24.540 Jesus said,
00:54:25.340 if you can,
00:54:25.800 I mean,
00:54:25.980 excuse me,
00:54:26.320 Paul said,
00:54:26.680 if you confess with your mouth,
00:54:27.660 the Lord Jesus,
00:54:28.200 and believe in your heart
00:54:29.160 that God raised him from the dead,
00:54:30.480 you shall be saved.
00:54:31.760 And there's a period
00:54:32.320 at the end of that sentence.
00:54:34.000 You don't,
00:54:34.560 getting baptized isn't,
00:54:35.900 is an outward display.
00:54:37.720 You are basically saying,
00:54:39.900 I'm joining this tribe.
00:54:41.300 I'm joining the Christian tribe.
00:54:43.080 And baptism is,
00:54:43.880 is a symbol of you dying
00:54:45.200 to your old self
00:54:46.060 and coming back
00:54:47.220 as,
00:54:47.880 as a new creation.
00:54:50.560 And,
00:54:51.120 and the reason people do it
00:54:52.600 is because we know that
00:54:53.460 just as human beings are,
00:54:54.800 the way our psychology works,
00:54:55.900 when you participate in something,
00:54:57.800 when you believe something
00:54:58.980 and then you do something physical
00:55:00.700 on top of it,
00:55:01.360 it reinforces it.
00:55:02.440 So now your unconscious mind,
00:55:06.400 which we're talking about
00:55:06.940 with John Lennart all the time,
00:55:08.720 when,
00:55:08.960 when you,
00:55:09.680 when you do something
00:55:11.060 and then you do an action
00:55:12.860 and attach to it,
00:55:13.840 attach to it,
00:55:14.460 then it strengthens it.
00:55:16.480 But this,
00:55:17.440 so,
00:55:17.720 but it doesn't mean
00:55:18.380 you're saved by doing that.
00:55:19.720 You actually get baptized
00:55:20.380 after you're saved.
00:55:21.440 That's what I'm wondering,
00:55:24.280 Ed.
00:55:24.460 So,
00:55:24.720 so it seems like,
00:55:26.120 like,
00:55:26.360 so in Orthodox Christianity,
00:55:28.840 exorcism is a,
00:55:31.200 is a,
00:55:31.640 is a part of baptism
00:55:32.660 and repentance
00:55:35.160 is a part of baptism.
00:55:36.940 So in that way that you're,
00:55:38.040 you know,
00:55:38.460 you're renouncing Satan,
00:55:39.460 it's also a renunciation
00:55:41.340 of your own sin.
00:55:42.840 So it's,
00:55:43.240 it's sort of like a,
00:55:44.280 I would agree with you,
00:55:45.260 right?
00:55:45.440 Like,
00:55:45.700 yeah,
00:55:45.820 you get saved
00:55:46.600 before you get baptized.
00:55:47.820 Baptized is the,
00:55:48.820 the outward expression
00:55:50.040 of what's in your heart.
00:55:50.960 It's this declaration
00:55:52.120 like you talk about often
00:55:53.180 when you speak a thing,
00:55:54.260 it happens in the spiritual realm
00:55:56.120 and then its effects
00:55:57.660 start to slowly happen
00:55:58.700 in the physical realm.
00:55:59.560 So if you're getting baptized
00:56:00.440 and you're renouncing
00:56:02.140 your own sin
00:56:02.920 and making a declaration
00:56:05.320 of,
00:56:06.180 you know,
00:56:06.700 Jesus Christ being your Lord
00:56:07.660 and Savior,
00:56:08.200 asking Holy Spirit
00:56:09.260 to,
00:56:09.680 to fill you.
00:56:10.800 And,
00:56:10.940 and then this is,
00:56:11.820 this is like,
00:56:12.640 almost like,
00:56:14.400 it feels like an announcement
00:56:15.400 in the spiritual realm,
00:56:16.920 like declaring
00:56:17.880 your position in things
00:56:20.400 and,
00:56:21.040 and your alignment with Christ.
00:56:23.260 And so in that way,
00:56:24.980 yeah,
00:56:25.220 it doesn't seem like it's a,
00:56:26.920 a necessary part,
00:56:29.440 but it does seem like
00:56:30.460 an important spiritual step.
00:56:32.300 It is.
00:56:33.000 It's important too.
00:56:33.760 I mean,
00:56:33.940 I was baptized after I became
00:56:36.240 saved as a child.
00:56:37.120 I mean,
00:56:37.700 I,
00:56:37.980 but it was my decision.
00:56:38.800 I wasn't,
00:56:39.420 it was,
00:56:39.860 it didn't happen when I was a baby.
00:56:40.980 I had to be old enough
00:56:41.760 to make that decision.
00:56:42.700 And remember what,
00:56:43.340 remember it's John the Baptist,
00:56:44.620 the most famous baptizing person
00:56:46.180 who ever existed.
00:56:48.240 He,
00:56:48.720 he and Jesus both said that,
00:56:51.160 yeah,
00:56:51.260 I baptize you with water,
00:56:52.320 but you know,
00:56:53.200 Jesus says,
00:56:53.680 you will be baptized with me.
00:56:54.840 You're baptized by the Holy Spirit
00:56:56.120 and by fire.
00:56:57.060 So what was happening
00:56:58.280 with the baptism
00:56:59.500 that John the Baptist was doing,
00:57:00.840 which was again,
00:57:01.300 before Jesus's death
00:57:02.280 and resurrection,
00:57:02.900 it was,
00:57:03.880 it was symbolic.
00:57:04.560 It was like all the Jewish feasts,
00:57:06.300 which are a,
00:57:07.480 basically a dress rehearsal.
00:57:08.800 You're rehearsing.
00:57:09.760 They were rehearsing what the first
00:57:11.280 and second advent of Jesus.
00:57:12.520 So,
00:57:13.140 you know,
00:57:13.360 doing the Passover feast didn't save you.
00:57:16.680 It was just symbolizing that,
00:57:18.160 you know,
00:57:18.280 you're sacrificing a lamb
00:57:19.240 without spot or blemish,
00:57:20.240 which is what Jesus was.
00:57:22.020 He,
00:57:22.200 Jesus is,
00:57:22.720 you know,
00:57:22.880 what's,
00:57:23.060 what's our sacrificial lamb.
00:57:24.400 And when Jesus came,
00:57:25.140 he did the real thing,
00:57:25.940 which the Baptist was doing baptism
00:57:28.480 before Jesus came around.
00:57:29.740 And then when,
00:57:30.520 after Jesus's death,
00:57:31.560 resurrection,
00:57:32.020 and ascension,
00:57:32.600 the disciples were baptized
00:57:34.240 by the Holy spirit.
00:57:36.580 That's the true baptism.
00:57:37.820 And that happens when you are saved.
00:57:39.340 And it's in the,
00:57:40.820 the symbology of baptism is again,
00:57:42.200 you're going in the water,
00:57:42.920 you're dying to your old self
00:57:44.360 and you're coming back a new creature.
00:57:46.000 Well,
00:57:46.480 what the Holy spirit does,
00:57:47.920 his fire kills the old man
00:57:49.780 and it gives you a new heart.
00:57:51.220 And you can,
00:57:51.820 so you can do a baptism.
00:57:52.840 Like,
00:57:53.020 so you,
00:57:53.420 when you are saved,
00:57:54.580 you're baptized by the Holy spirit.
00:57:56.240 And you can do a,
00:57:57.040 a water baptism after that.
00:57:59.800 Sure.
00:58:00.220 It's nothing,
00:58:00.540 nothing with that.
00:58:01.220 It's actually a good thing.
00:58:02.160 And you can get baptized.
00:58:03.560 And it's just,
00:58:04.060 it's something that just reinforces
00:58:05.800 what's already happened.
00:58:08.420 Okay.
00:58:09.160 Publicly.
00:58:09.660 So it's,
00:58:10.280 it's like,
00:58:10.600 it's like marriage,
00:58:11.200 you know,
00:58:11.380 my,
00:58:12.000 you know,
00:58:12.220 my wife and I,
00:58:12.680 we got probably the same thing with you.
00:58:14.000 You go to get a marriage license
00:58:15.080 and you sign it.
00:58:15.820 Well,
00:58:16.020 technically that's,
00:58:17.660 that's done.
00:58:18.400 What's the ceremony?
00:58:19.460 The ceremony is you standing up
00:58:20.880 in front of your friends and family
00:58:22.180 and declaring that in front of a preacher
00:58:25.380 or whatever,
00:58:25.900 and you're,
00:58:26.900 you know,
00:58:27.160 declaring that you were eternally bonded,
00:58:28.620 but legally it's signing a piece of paper
00:58:31.960 that makes you married.
00:58:33.200 In a way,
00:58:33.640 I'd say the,
00:58:34.280 the latter is more important though.
00:58:36.180 I agree.
00:58:36.780 I,
00:58:36.860 no,
00:58:37.240 I agree with that,
00:58:38.140 but I'm saying no,
00:58:39.260 legally,
00:58:39.700 according to the state is what I'm saying.
00:58:41.660 Yeah.
00:58:42.200 I get,
00:58:42.700 I get what you're saying.
00:58:44.000 All right.
00:58:44.480 We had some,
00:58:45.100 another question here.
00:58:45.980 This is a good one.
00:58:47.000 Okay.
00:58:47.200 So Bill Didamondo asks,
00:58:49.980 why are there two different genealogy accounts
00:58:52.140 for Joseph's lineage?
00:58:53.340 The book of Matthew and Luke have Joseph's dads
00:58:56.160 as two different people,
00:58:57.600 both descending from King David.
00:58:59.720 Was one of them wrong
00:59:00.840 or did he have two dads?
00:59:03.320 I don't think that's the case.
00:59:05.360 I'm not,
00:59:05.960 I'm not familiar at all with this.
00:59:08.520 That's a great question.
00:59:10.040 So,
00:59:10.980 and it's really,
00:59:12.360 it's a really cool answer.
00:59:14.460 The reason for it,
00:59:15.400 not my answer,
00:59:16.040 but the reason for it is actually really cool.
00:59:18.840 So math.
00:59:19.820 So in Matthew,
00:59:20.680 you have the genealogy that goes from Joseph's,
00:59:24.880 Joseph and his father,
00:59:26.740 all the way to David.
00:59:28.680 In Luke,
00:59:29.560 you have the,
00:59:30.520 the genealogy going from that,
00:59:33.260 say from a father figure all the way back to Adam.
00:59:36.560 What's the,
00:59:37.240 what's the reason behind that?
00:59:38.340 Matthew was a Levite.
00:59:40.600 The book of Matthew was technically written for,
00:59:44.020 not just to the Jews,
00:59:45.120 obviously we can all use it,
00:59:46.020 but it was,
00:59:46.640 it was written to convince the Jews of who Jesus was.
00:59:49.500 That's why you see throughout Matthew,
00:59:51.160 every time Jesus does something,
00:59:52.780 it will,
00:59:53.380 there'll be a commentary right after that that says,
00:59:55.620 he did this in order to fulfill this part of the scripture.
00:59:58.280 For example,
00:59:59.280 when,
00:59:59.520 when,
01:00:00.960 when,
01:00:02.000 when King Herod tried to order that all,
01:00:04.540 all the newborn boys under the age of two would be killed,
01:00:08.340 and an angel and an Elohim,
01:00:10.560 a good Elohim came to Mary and Joseph and said,
01:00:13.100 you know,
01:00:13.320 take Jesus to Egypt.
01:00:14.840 And they did that.
01:00:15.780 And then Matthew says this,
01:00:16.860 so it could be fulfilled that where it says that out of Egypt,
01:00:20.060 I brought my son.
01:00:21.980 So he was basically,
01:00:22.960 Matthew was using the scriptures to verify that Jesus was the promised Messiah
01:00:28.940 and the promised Messiah would have to be the son of David from the royal line
01:00:33.660 of David.
01:00:34.500 That's why it goes from Joseph,
01:00:37.520 his legal father to David,
01:00:39.480 who it doesn't go any further than that because they had,
01:00:41.880 he had to be a descendant of King David of the royal line.
01:00:44.620 Here's a problem.
01:00:45.420 David's grants,
01:00:49.300 one of his great,
01:00:50.200 great grandsons,
01:00:51.300 actually a great grandson of,
01:00:52.520 of,
01:00:52.720 of King Solomon was a King by the name of Jeconiah or Jehoiakim.
01:00:57.300 He's just two different pronunciations of,
01:00:59.260 of his,
01:00:59.820 of his name in the book of Kings.
01:01:01.760 He was so wicked that God placed a blood curse on him and said that no,
01:01:07.220 because you were so bad,
01:01:08.580 none of your descendants will ever prosper and be King.
01:01:11.760 In the heat of battle,
01:01:13.180 your squad relies on you.
01:01:14.820 Don't let them down.

01:01:59.020 How could Jesus legally be King and be of that Royal line?
01:02:03.320 If that blood curse was pronounced.
01:02:04.820 And you would imagine that when God pronounced this curse,
01:02:07.700 there was celebration in the evil Elohim realm and saying,
01:02:10.580 yep,
01:02:10.740 God has just legally put himself in a bind because Jesus has his Messiah has to be from the Royal line.
01:02:17.460 He has to have the Royal lineage,
01:02:19.340 but Jeconiah just was blood cursed and said that none of his descendants would ever be King.
01:02:26.380 So how could Jesus be King?
01:02:27.960 Well,
01:02:28.240 because Jesus was because Joseph was only his legal father.
01:02:32.460 He was not from the bloodline of Joseph.
01:02:35.000 So what about the one in,
01:02:37.080 in,
01:02:37.380 in,
01:02:37.780 in Luke?
01:02:38.540 Well,
01:02:39.380 I,
01:02:39.800 the genealogy in Luke,
01:02:40.840 I think is what God was saying.
01:02:42.160 Hey,
01:02:42.400 let me,
01:02:42.740 I'm going to do an end around.
01:02:43.860 I'm going to do a little,
01:02:44.540 a little,
01:02:44.980 a little counterintelligent strategy here because the one who was called Joseph's father was actually his father-in-law.
01:02:53.500 That was Mary's father.
01:02:56.900 And when you look at it and,
01:02:58.680 and,
01:02:58.900 and the reason why he could,
01:03:00.220 he could say that was because once you're married,
01:03:02.320 you're one flesh.
01:03:02.980 So Joseph did have two dads,
01:03:04.780 his biological father and Mary's father were both considered his father.
01:03:09.680 And so,
01:03:10.960 so with Mary's line,
01:03:11.940 Mary is also a descendant of David,
01:03:14.120 but not through the Royal line.
01:03:16.160 If you go through it,
01:03:18.080 the,
01:03:18.440 the Joseph's lineage goes through the line of Solomon.
01:03:22.760 Solomon was part of the Royal line,
01:03:24.340 but you know,
01:03:24.880 David had other sons.
01:03:25.940 And one of his other sons who was not in the Royal line was Nathan.
01:03:30.140 Mary's genealogy goes through,
01:03:31.640 through Nathan.
01:03:33.220 So his biological mother,
01:03:35.180 Mary was a descendant of David,
01:03:37.580 but not through the Royal line.
01:03:39.440 So that's how Jesus could be both.
01:03:41.140 Jesus could be a son of David through Mary,
01:03:43.420 but have the legal right to be King through Joseph.
01:03:47.780 But because he's not of Joseph's biological line,
01:03:51.760 he's not subject to the blood curse.
01:03:53.520 So that was God basically put running an end around on the evil Elohim saying,
01:03:58.020 yeah,
01:03:58.380 you guys thought you had me.
01:03:59.600 You don't.
01:04:00.420 That's why they're two different genealogies is showing.
01:04:02.980 Matthew is showing that Jesus has a legal claim to be King.
01:04:06.320 Mary is showing that he has the claim to be King without being a part of the
01:04:12.220 blood curse on Jehoiakim or Jeconiah.
01:04:14.260 That's why they're two different genealogies.
01:04:16.260 That is crazy.
01:04:17.980 Yeah.
01:04:19.320 Whoa.
01:04:20.240 Yeah.
01:04:20.840 Yeah.
01:04:21.080 That's,
01:04:21.360 that's something I often wonder about.
01:04:22.820 That's something I learned from Chuck Missler.
01:04:24.440 I can't take credit for that.
01:04:26.680 Well,
01:04:26.860 it makes a lot of sense though.
01:04:28.340 Yeah.
01:04:28.680 I know your,
01:04:29.000 your,
01:04:29.360 your father-in-law is,
01:04:30.680 is your father-in-law.
01:04:32.060 Father-in-law.
01:04:32.960 Yeah.
01:04:33.180 So yeah,
01:04:34.420 that,
01:04:34.660 that checks out,
01:04:35.580 that tracks.
01:04:36.320 That's like she,
01:04:36.920 well,
01:04:37.020 she is the perfect person to do this.
01:04:39.260 They were the perfect people to do that.
01:04:40.980 He knew exactly.
01:04:41.320 You know what?
01:04:41.640 I think,
01:04:42.100 I think that one of the reasons I think God did that blood curse was,
01:04:44.500 of course,
01:04:44.700 yeah,
01:04:44.840 Jeconiah deserved it,
01:04:46.040 but I think he was kind of doing kind of a,
01:04:48.380 a kind of almost a rope-a-dope with the Elohim realm.
01:04:50.800 But they're like,
01:04:51.060 okay,
01:04:51.280 well,
01:04:51.540 we don't have to worry about this anymore.
01:04:53.500 His lot,
01:04:54.120 the Royal line of curse.
01:04:55.580 Oh,
01:04:55.800 we're good.
01:04:56.740 You say,
01:04:56.960 well,
01:04:57.280 but then they didn't realize that God said,
01:04:59.120 yeah,
01:04:59.320 no,
01:04:59.700 I still got you.
01:05:01.580 That is,
01:05:02.300 that is kind of cool.
01:05:03.100 I'm glad.
01:05:03.720 Who asked that?
01:05:06.060 Il Didamondo.
01:05:07.440 Shout out Il Didamondo.
01:05:08.720 That was a great question.
01:05:09.860 That was fascinating.
01:05:10.940 I never even thought about that.
01:05:11.780 Glad you asked that.
01:05:12.500 Yeah.
01:05:12.640 I wonder,
01:05:13.360 I wonder if that has anything to do with why,
01:05:16.400 why the Jews track Judaism or who is a Jew through the mother rather than the father's lineage.
01:05:24.380 I wonder if it has anything to do with that kind of like that logic laid out there.
01:05:29.480 Interesting.
01:05:30.400 I'm going to think about that.
01:05:31.120 Good question.
01:05:31.360 I'm not sure about that.
01:05:32.040 That's something you have to look into that,
01:05:33.200 but that's a good question.
01:05:34.080 I've never,
01:05:34.440 I've never,
01:05:34.680 I've heard that,
01:05:35.360 but I've never really done a deep dive into why it's the mother's line.
01:05:38.020 I mean,
01:05:38.160 maybe it's because,
01:05:38.800 you know,
01:05:38.980 the baby's carried by the mother.
01:05:41.880 So it's,
01:05:42.580 I don't know.
01:05:43.020 I don't know.
01:05:44.280 And I want to go back to something about the,
01:05:46.960 real quick with,
01:05:47.800 with Jesus as well.
01:05:48.960 Like he would be like,
01:05:51.900 he wouldn't even be Joseph's son in a way,
01:05:55.820 because he has like no real genetics tied to that.
01:05:58.940 No,
01:05:59.180 I don't know.
01:05:59.480 It's just very confusing.
01:06:00.260 It's his legal father.
01:06:01.000 I mean,
01:06:01.120 it's like,
01:06:01.440 if you basically Joseph adopted Jesus,
01:06:05.120 if you look at it that way,
01:06:05.980 if you look at it in our modern terms,
01:06:07.820 like if you,
01:06:08.220 if you adopt a kid,
01:06:08.980 yeah,
01:06:09.080 that's your son legally,
01:06:09.900 but doesn't have any,
01:06:11.800 of your genetics,
01:06:12.420 but he has a legal right to everything that you have as your adopted child.
01:06:17.260 It's almost like it gives a little bit new meaning to that.
01:06:20.000 Like when they say that the Gentiles are grafted in.
01:06:22.900 Yeah.
01:06:23.260 We were adopted into the family grafted onto the vine.
01:06:26.620 Yeah.
01:06:27.540 But we have all the legal rights.
01:06:29.200 Well,
01:06:29.660 people are subject to the curses that God put onto the Jews for disobedience.
01:06:34.800 This is the same exact thing.
01:06:37.120 Nice.
01:06:37.520 Deuteronomy 20,
01:06:38.220 Deuteronomy 28 is when you talk about all the curses for disobedience.
01:06:42.360 So we're not subject to those,
01:06:44.620 which is why it's so funny to me that,
01:06:45.840 that everyone wants to be all like a lot of Gentile Christians.
01:06:49.640 Oh no,
01:06:49.880 we're the real Jews.
01:06:50.580 I'm like,
01:06:50.720 yeah,
01:06:50.840 you don't want to,
01:06:51.380 you don't really want to be the church.
01:06:52.800 The church is,
01:06:53.360 the promises of the church are way better than the promises to Israel.
01:06:55.900 So these whole 10 lost tribes,
01:06:57.440 people like,
01:06:58.160 why,
01:06:58.620 why do you want to be a Jew?
01:07:00.020 Right.
01:07:00.560 Right.
01:07:00.920 The church.
01:07:01.620 Isn't that the same?
01:07:02.560 Isn't that the same exact story as what you just described with Mary,
01:07:06.660 the bloodline being cursed,
01:07:08.520 but like this skirting around it,
01:07:10.420 it's the same thing.
01:07:12.020 That's weird.
01:07:12.860 All right.
01:07:13.000 I really got to think about that.
01:07:14.580 What were you going to say,
01:07:15.100 David?
01:07:15.280 I'm sorry.
01:07:15.560 I was going to say back on the,
01:07:16.500 on the topic of,
01:07:17.360 of baptism.
01:07:18.520 I was looking at Romans 10,
01:07:20.920 nine through 10.
01:07:22.080 And the idea of confessing with your mouth,
01:07:25.440 that Jesus is Lord and believe it in your heart.
01:07:27.760 So obviously there's scripture where Jesus talks about like,
01:07:30.640 you know,
01:07:30.780 you confess it with your mouth,
01:07:31.880 but I'm not your Lord because it's only in your mouth that you,
01:07:34.520 you say these things.
01:07:36.300 But there does seem to be some real importance.
01:07:39.280 If it's in your heart,
01:07:40.140 the proclamation,
01:07:41.020 like an out loud proclamation to people is something that,
01:07:45.560 that is meaningful.
01:07:47.500 And so I wonder if,
01:07:49.620 if that is the,
01:07:50.800 the spiritual significance,
01:07:51.780 because we talk about how,
01:07:52.720 you know,
01:07:53.300 getting baptized is,
01:07:54.280 is sort of a spiritual deck declaration,
01:07:56.720 you know,
01:07:58.040 in the church,
01:07:58.580 or at least when I got baptized,
01:08:00.420 they were showing us scripture from John that said that,
01:08:03.960 you know,
01:08:04.180 you do it the way Jesus did it.
01:08:05.280 You get baptized in the name of the father,
01:08:06.820 the son,
01:08:07.100 and the Holy spirit.
01:08:08.160 And so that is like this verbal declaration and it has spiritual
01:08:12.780 implications.
01:08:13.360 But then if you look at Romans nine through 10 or 10,
01:08:16.160 nine through 10,
01:08:16.740 it's saying the importance of confessing with your mouth,
01:08:19.700 that Jesus is Lord and believing it in your heart.
01:08:21.720 So it's like these things work in tandem.
01:08:24.200 It just basically bolsters the idea that,
01:08:26.460 yeah,
01:08:26.600 you are,
01:08:27.620 this is a spiritual declaration in front of people.
01:08:29.960 Cause I was wondering,
01:08:30.680 like,
01:08:31.520 you know,
01:08:31.880 you were saying when you get saved,
01:08:35.780 you're it's,
01:08:36.240 it's accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and savior.
01:08:38.500 And you can sort of do that privately,
01:08:40.260 right?
01:08:40.560 Like if you have this epiphanous moment and you go like,
01:08:43.500 Oh,
01:08:43.720 this is,
01:08:45.020 and then that leads you to make this outward proclamation.
01:08:47.800 But like,
01:08:49.040 I wonder.
01:08:51.000 In the heat of battle,
01:08:51.940 your squad relies on you.
01:08:53.500 Don't let them down.

01:09:12.700 When the tech search power up at Lenovo.com.
01:09:18.200 What it is.
01:09:22.140 Like if you say it with your mouth and you're alone,
01:09:24.220 I don't know.
01:09:24.860 I mean,
01:09:25.100 I'm just getting caught up on this idea of like saying it with your mouth and
01:09:28.920 you're alone versus saying it and it entering the ears and hearts of other
01:09:34.520 people and the way they then perceive you and how you identify who you're
01:09:38.640 aligned with is,
01:09:39.960 is more impactful.
01:09:41.340 You know what I mean?
01:09:41.980 It is because no one can hear your heart,
01:09:44.140 obviously.
01:09:44.720 So you can confess it with your mouth,
01:09:46.360 but you have to believe in that.
01:09:47.480 People can't hear that,
01:09:48.480 but you have to believe it in your heart as well.
01:09:50.360 And you may not,
01:09:50.860 that may not be the exact order.
01:09:52.240 Maybe you believe in your heart first.
01:09:53.520 Then you tell someone,
01:09:54.120 you know what?
01:09:54.360 I confess Jesus and I'm a Christian now.
01:09:55.920 So you've just confessed him with your mouth.
01:09:58.260 And yeah.
01:09:58.820 So,
01:09:59.020 so in the baptism thing,
01:10:00.340 you know,
01:10:00.600 again,
01:10:00.820 as an Albert simple,
01:10:01.600 I had a pastor when I was growing up,
01:10:03.060 he preached about this all the time that,
01:10:04.880 you know,
01:10:05.820 just being baptized as a savior.
01:10:07.060 He's his little,
01:10:08.000 his little joke was,
01:10:08.820 you know,
01:10:08.940 if you get baptized without believing,
01:10:10.360 he's like,
01:10:10.600 you know,
01:10:10.760 you go down a dry devil,
01:10:12.220 come up a wet devil.
01:10:13.360 It doesn't matter.
01:10:14.780 And then as far as just confessing Jesus without having it in your heart,
01:10:17.380 there's like the really funny story in the book of acts about the,
01:10:20.140 the seven sons of Skiba who tried to cast out a demon.
01:10:24.900 And they went into the demon's house and they said,
01:10:28.480 you know,
01:10:28.740 we cast you out in the name of the Paul of the Jesus who Paul preaches.
01:10:32.260 And the demon said,
01:10:33.420 Jesus,
01:10:33.860 I know Paul,
01:10:34.780 I know,
01:10:35.240 but who are you?
01:10:36.160 Then he jumps on and beats the crap out of him,
01:10:37.780 tears their clothes off and they run out of the house naked.
01:10:40.180 Why?
01:10:40.660 Because they said,
01:10:41.500 you know,
01:10:42.140 Jesus,
01:10:42.520 they didn't believe him in their heart.
01:10:44.100 It's like,
01:10:44.680 I'm saying like,
01:10:45.320 they were LARPing,
01:10:45.980 like they heard that it works.
01:10:47.400 So they go like,
01:10:48.240 yeah,
01:10:48.340 that guy that like you guys had to bend the knee to last time that,
01:10:51.260 that dude,
01:10:52.020 that dude,
01:10:52.460 cause that's going to work again.
01:10:53.260 Right.
01:10:54.060 Yeah,
01:10:54.240 that's exactly.
01:10:54.800 So yeah,
01:10:55.060 I know Jesus.
01:10:55.880 I know Paul,
01:10:56.340 but I don't know you.
01:10:58.400 Yeah.
01:10:58.840 Interesting.
01:10:59.160 Very interesting.
01:10:59.980 All right.
01:11:00.300 All right.
01:11:00.620 We got a,
01:11:01.220 I know,
01:11:01.460 I know you don't have that much more time with us.
01:11:03.460 I've got,
01:11:03.680 I've got about another 20 ish minutes.
01:11:06.220 Okay,
01:11:06.500 cool.
01:11:06.780 Oh,
01:11:06.980 okay.
01:11:07.300 All right.
01:11:08.580 All right.
01:11:08.780 So blappity blap,
01:11:10.180 blap asks,
01:11:12.700 just bear with us here.
01:11:14.140 And I'm sorry.
01:11:14.620 What are your thoughts on second Kings three 27,
01:11:18.320 referring to the King of Moab fighting against the Israelites.
01:11:21.480 It says,
01:11:22.260 then he took his firstborn son who was to succeed him as King and offered him as a sacrifice on the city wall.
01:11:28.580 The fury against Israel was great.
01:11:30.980 They withdrew and returned to their own land.
01:11:33.940 Shout out blappity blap,
01:11:35.260 blap.
01:11:37.680 That blood sacrifice has spiritual consequences.
01:11:42.240 And when he sacrificed his son,
01:11:44.420 was it the right thing to do?
01:11:45.260 No,
01:11:45.560 people have to,
01:11:46.180 one thing people have to keep in mind is that just because the Bible documents something doesn't mean God approves of it.
01:11:51.320 There was this thing I saw on YouTube a few weeks ago about this,
01:11:55.380 this lady who was,
01:11:57.120 I think she's on like the,
01:11:58.040 the Glenn Beckshaw or whatever.
01:11:59.280 She did like the whole 20 questions thing where,
01:12:01.100 you know,
01:12:01.320 you,
01:12:01.940 it's this popular thing on YouTube where someone is,
01:12:05.840 has answered a question from 20 different people.
01:12:07.980 I know she did.
01:12:08.400 Oh yeah.
01:12:09.880 Stucky Beth Lee.
01:12:11.540 Yeah.
01:12:11.760 Something like that.
01:12:12.360 Something like that.
01:12:12.920 Yeah.
01:12:13.160 So yeah.
01:12:13.740 So yeah.
01:12:13.980 Candace Owens did with a bunch of feminists,
01:12:15.720 Patrick Beck,
01:12:16.820 David,
01:12:17.140 who I'm still sketching on,
01:12:18.400 he did with a bunch of anti-capitalists and she did with a bunch of so-called progressive Christians.
01:12:23.220 And they were talking about marriage and half of them were,
01:12:26.860 were,
01:12:27.120 were gay and they were talking about how,
01:12:28.520 you know,
01:12:28.680 I'm,
01:12:28.860 I'm,
01:12:29.120 I'm married to my partner and we love each other,
01:12:31.320 blah,
01:12:31.540 blah,
01:12:31.740 blah.
01:12:32.560 And one of the things they said was when she said,
01:12:35.860 you know,
01:12:36.000 marriage is between one man and one woman.
01:12:37.420 And they said,
01:12:37.920 well,
01:12:38.020 what about some of the Kings of Israel who had multiple wives?
01:12:41.280 Like Solomon had hundreds of wives and King David had hundreds of wives.
01:12:45.040 And so,
01:12:45.900 you know,
01:12:46.580 is if,
01:12:47.100 if that's okay,
01:12:47.840 why,
01:12:48.340 why can you,
01:12:48.980 how can you say marriage is between one man and one woman?
01:12:50.820 When you have these people in the Bible,
01:12:51.900 we had multiple wives.
01:12:53.320 Well,
01:12:53.700 just because something's recorded in the Bible doesn't mean God approved of it.
01:12:56.800 All these people who had multiple wives,
01:12:58.880 all it always ended in disaster.
01:13:00.180 Solomon's wives turned him away from God.
01:13:04.060 David's multiple wives,
01:13:05.380 you know,
01:13:05.600 he,
01:13:06.140 they,
01:13:06.380 they,
01:13:06.440 they turned him away.
01:13:07.600 They,
01:13:07.800 they never ended well when you have multiple wives because you,
01:13:11.180 it is intended to be one person.
01:13:12.840 So one man,
01:13:14.420 one woman.
01:13:15.100 So just because the,
01:13:17.140 the sacrifice of,
01:13:18.240 of this Moabite King's child happened,
01:13:21.440 it didn't mean God approved of it.
01:13:22.720 It's just documenting it.
01:13:23.840 And it's showing that,
01:13:25.460 yes,
01:13:25.900 these,
01:13:26.340 the reason that these pagans and these evil people sacrifice children is not just
01:13:30.080 because they have a blood lust.
01:13:31.460 They do,
01:13:32.140 but it's because it actually does bring about spiritual power.
01:13:36.460 It does do it.
01:13:37.860 And what it also was saying that the Israelites were not in line with God,
01:13:41.060 because if they were that sacrifice,
01:13:43.180 wouldn't.
01:13:45.460 It's insinuated that it's in the Borat voice.
01:13:47.920 It's like my wives,
01:13:49.100 King David.
01:13:50.020 It's like my wives.
01:13:53.420 So,
01:13:53.860 so basically,
01:13:54.360 so doing that sacrifice did imbue them with extra power.
01:13:58.880 And that,
01:13:59.540 that caused them to overcome the Israelites because they weren't right with God.
01:14:02.680 If they were right with Jehovah,
01:14:04.580 then it wouldn't,
01:14:05.140 then the power within us,
01:14:06.800 and this is the whole thing with spiritual warfare,
01:14:08.080 the power we have in us through Jesus,
01:14:09.720 through the Holy spirit is vastly more powerful than any spiritual evil.
01:14:14.280 But if you're not in line with it,
01:14:16.300 then spiritual evil can actually overcome you.
01:14:18.940 So that's what happened there.
01:14:20.720 People will often do that though.
01:14:22.440 They'll be like,
01:14:22.800 look at this character in the Bible.
01:14:24.360 They did this horrifying thing or that horrifying thing.
01:14:26.520 It's like,
01:14:26.780 you're dealing with severely imperfect people.
01:14:29.900 And that's a really consistent theme throughout the Bible is that,
01:14:33.080 you know,
01:14:33.700 you're dealing with sinners and,
01:14:35.200 and God uses broken people.
01:14:37.140 And there's stories of redemption and,
01:14:39.380 and you know,
01:14:40.100 the changing of people's hearts and them falling away again.
01:14:43.320 You know,
01:14:43.460 it's like this idea that you can point to a character in the Bible who,
01:14:46.600 who,
01:14:47.160 you know,
01:14:47.520 does a thing that's immoral or whatever.
01:14:49.980 And,
01:14:50.340 and use as an example of maybe it's not so bad to do that thing is,
01:14:53.360 you know,
01:14:54.140 it's no,
01:14:54.620 I mean,
01:14:54.740 we talked about David before King David,
01:14:56.780 he saw Bathsheba.
01:14:57.780 He took,
01:14:58.440 he had sex with her and then,
01:15:00.040 and she got pregnant.
01:15:00.740 What happened to that baby?
01:15:01.800 It was stillborn.
01:15:03.120 So yes,
01:15:03.880 he did it.
01:15:04.520 And he,
01:15:05.020 yeah,
01:15:05.160 David was a man after God's own heart because they were in alignment,
01:15:08.320 but David was not perfect.
01:15:10.500 He sent a lot.
01:15:11.740 And this was a sin.
01:15:12.640 It was a consequence.
01:15:13.320 So when you see something happen in the Bible and you're not sure if it's
01:15:15.460 good or bad,
01:15:16.000 look at the consequences,
01:15:17.380 the consequences of David basically being a murderer because he had her
01:15:20.380 real husband killed.
01:15:21.260 He put him in the front lines that had to be justice.
01:15:24.980 And that baby was stillborn because of that.
01:15:28.780 Yeah.
01:15:29.200 Yeah.
01:15:29.900 Speaking of David,
01:15:31.560 we have another question.
01:15:33.240 Do you watch the house of David?
01:15:35.280 Does he think it's Jewish propaganda?
01:15:37.040 I watch the house of David.
01:15:38.160 This is sorry.
01:15:38.760 Greg asked this.
01:15:39.640 You should answer because I haven't watched it.
01:15:42.080 It's on my list,
01:15:43.100 but I don't watch much TV.
01:15:44.740 My wife wants,
01:15:45.360 wants to watch and we will eventually.
01:15:46.860 It just,
01:15:47.680 we're like,
01:15:48.240 we're way backed up.
01:15:49.260 And like all of the,
01:15:49.980 all of the shows we want to watch.
01:15:52.620 I've watched it and I'm,
01:15:53.820 I'm caught up with it.
01:15:54.660 Actually.
01:15:55.540 I enjoy it.
01:15:56.400 I think it's good.
01:15:57.040 I think they take,
01:15:57.640 uh,
01:15:58.460 like most of these,
01:15:59.460 uh,
01:15:59.720 biblical or Christian shows,
01:16:00.820 they take liberties because the Bible is like,
01:16:03.440 he was here.
01:16:04.560 Then he was here.
01:16:05.600 And it's like years later.
01:16:06.860 So you got to fill in some of the,
01:16:08.320 yeah,
01:16:08.680 I enjoy it.
01:16:09.880 I enjoy it for what it is.
01:16:11.100 Uh,
01:16:11.620 when they did the,
01:16:12.300 the battle and like,
01:16:14.120 you know,
01:16:14.420 everybody knows how that goes.
01:16:15.880 And David's fighting Goliath.
01:16:17.540 You could see where some of the liberties are taken,
01:16:19.160 where he's like,
01:16:19.740 he's zigzagging past the spheres and he's,
01:16:23.500 does he have nunchucks or anything?
01:16:25.220 He doesn't have nunchucks.
01:16:26.320 I mean,
01:16:26.620 I liked it.
01:16:27.440 I thought it was good,
01:16:28.400 but I don't have,
01:16:29.500 Matt would say,
01:16:30.580 read the Bible.
01:16:31.580 Just read the Bible.
01:16:32.200 Open up your Bible.
01:16:33.140 Straight Bible.
01:16:33.700 Straight Bible.
01:16:34.160 Just read the Bible.
01:16:34.960 Yeah.
01:16:35.320 Yeah.
01:16:35.480 Most of you guys are LARPing.
01:16:36.700 You're out here with the Cardassians and,
01:16:38.080 and Justin Bieber on the Twitter on the Twitter.
01:16:40.380 Yeah.
01:16:40.820 Yeah.
01:16:41.040 Read the Bible,
01:16:41.600 but it is,
01:16:42.420 it's fun for me.
01:16:44.340 The stories like that and the chosen shows like that make it come to life a little bit
01:16:48.960 more.
01:16:49.380 Yeah.
01:16:50.060 My,
01:16:50.500 uh,
01:16:51.000 imagine,
01:16:51.440 I have a hard time with my imagination,
01:16:52.980 like making this stuff come to life.
01:16:55.020 And I think they do a really good job,
01:16:56.560 like specifically,
01:16:57.660 uh,
01:16:58.260 let's say in the chosen when,
01:16:59.880 uh,
01:17:00.500 they're in,
01:17:01.160 uh,
01:17:01.320 they're in Jerusalem for,
01:17:02.760 for the,
01:17:03.240 uh,
01:17:04.040 for the holiday where obviously where Jesus gets killed.
01:17:07.860 I,
01:17:08.240 it's hard for me to understand when there's like the Bible is like,
01:17:11.100 there's a lot of people in the city at this time it's filled.
01:17:13.840 And you're like,
01:17:14.440 yeah,
01:17:14.560 yeah.
01:17:14.760 So what's that mean?
01:17:15.860 But they do a good job of like,
01:17:17.460 Oh,
01:17:17.600 it's bustling.
01:17:18.280 They're like,
01:17:18.660 you can't walk.
01:17:19.740 And you kind of understand how like Jesus could kind of get away from people in this
01:17:25.020 big place.
01:17:25.740 And it would be hard if you don't know what he looks like.
01:17:28.380 It's like that,
01:17:28.940 these logistical parts of it make a lot of sense.
01:17:31.320 And if you could add that historical,
01:17:32.940 cultural context in flesh out what a place looked like,
01:17:36.340 what the atmosphere might've been,
01:17:37.720 that does,
01:17:38.320 it helps a lot.
01:17:39.200 Even with,
01:17:39.660 with,
01:17:40.000 uh,
01:17:40.280 the story with,
01:17:41.280 what is this called?
01:17:41.880 The house of David.
01:17:42.620 What I think they do good is like the battles,
01:17:45.580 like the Bible's like,
01:17:46.460 then there was a great battle and they killed like mad people.
01:17:50.080 And then they took over the land and you're like,
01:17:52.080 okay,
01:17:52.400 next verse.
01:17:53.300 But it's like,
01:17:53.760 no,
01:17:53.920 they're showing you there's,
01:17:54.760 then there was a battle.
01:17:55.480 And I think it's cool.
01:17:56.260 These dudes are out there with swords.
01:17:57.800 I thought what was really cool was being able to see like,
01:18:00.380 you know,
01:18:00.880 what 200 foreskins looks like.
01:18:03.160 No,
01:18:03.600 we're not up to that part yet.
01:18:05.520 They didn't do that.
01:18:06.700 We already had our show on foreskin.
01:18:10.180 So I'm not,
01:18:10.600 I want to,
01:18:12.220 um,
01:18:12.460 ask you something real quick too.
01:18:13.520 I know I keep going back to this,
01:18:14.720 but obviously,
01:18:15.380 uh,
01:18:16.060 I just got baptized recently.
01:18:17.640 So,
01:18:18.100 you know,
01:18:18.580 the fact that it came up is,
01:18:19.580 is fascinating to me.
01:18:20.540 And,
01:18:21.160 um,
01:18:21.840 you know,
01:18:22.440 Matt was talking about afterwards,
01:18:24.080 he was like,
01:18:24.560 yeah,
01:18:24.680 like Exodus when,
01:18:26.120 when they part the Red Sea.
01:18:27.560 And,
01:18:27.680 and Pharaoh's on the other side.
01:18:28.980 And,
01:18:29.300 and then,
01:18:30.140 uh,
01:18:30.600 you know,
01:18:31.300 after they get across the water,
01:18:32.920 the water collapses back into itself.
01:18:34.740 It takes out Pharaoh and his army.
01:18:36.320 And,
01:18:36.660 and then there are remainder of enemies on that side.
01:18:39.680 So old enemies are now on that side of the water.
01:18:42.980 In the heat of battle,
01:18:43.900 your squad relies on you.
01:18:45.540 Don't let them down.

01:19:05.980 Power up at Lenovo.com.
01:19:08.220 Lenovo.
01:19:09.420 Lenovo.
01:19:09.900 You know,
01:19:13.580 uh,
01:19:13.880 metaphorically and,
01:19:14.840 but there are new enemies that will be on the other side.
01:19:17.380 And so he's talking about that within the context of,
01:19:19.520 of baptism.
01:19:20.460 And then that,
01:19:21.400 that like,
01:19:22.100 you know,
01:19:22.520 water theme is very interesting.
01:19:24.000 I saw somebody in one of the chats earlier say this idea of killing off the
01:19:28.360 Nephilim in the flood.
01:19:30.560 And then,
01:19:30.980 you know,
01:19:31.500 baptism being partly an exorcism,
01:19:33.780 at least in orthodoxy.
01:19:35.500 Um,
01:19:36.320 I asked pastor Rick about that and he was like,
01:19:38.020 we don't look at it as this.
01:19:39.280 And then he kind of went on to explain about like the washing out of the old
01:19:43.560 and the ceremony of like the renewing of the earth.
01:19:45.760 And I was like,
01:19:46.180 yeah,
01:19:46.320 I was like,
01:19:46.500 you know what happened with that?
01:19:47.560 Right.
01:19:48.440 And he's like,
01:19:49.720 well,
01:19:49.920 yeah,
01:19:50.100 I guess we could look at it like that too.
01:19:51.460 But he,
01:19:51.840 he did,
01:19:52.360 he wasn't ready.
01:19:53.160 Cause I,
01:19:53.620 I guess in the,
01:19:54.520 the modern church,
01:19:55.960 like they want to give you the more flowery stuff.
01:19:58.380 Yeah.
01:19:58.860 And I'm,
01:19:59.440 and I get that.
01:20:00.140 Cause most people don't want to,
01:20:01.300 they don't want to talk about this,
01:20:02.620 but I was like,
01:20:03.080 nah,
01:20:03.260 dude,
01:20:03.400 let's talk about the Nephilim.
01:20:04.440 That's a fascinating angle to look at.
01:20:06.720 Like you being baptized in water and shedding,
01:20:09.660 you know,
01:20:10.160 these potentially entities.
01:20:13.260 Well,
01:20:13.760 if you look at it,
01:20:14.320 the water has been used consistently in the Bible as a punishment for
01:20:18.360 spiritual evil.
01:20:19.040 You can go all the way back to Genesis chapter one,
01:20:22.880 where,
01:20:23.640 you know,
01:20:23.940 I believe,
01:20:24.480 and I've,
01:20:24.760 I've,
01:20:25.060 we've talked about this before,
01:20:26.640 where I think,
01:20:27.240 I believe there's a primordial rebellion,
01:20:29.360 you know,
01:20:30.800 and you know,
01:20:31.940 beforehand,
01:20:32.260 because he didn't,
01:20:32.900 he didn't create the world chaotic to who,
01:20:35.220 which we see in Isaiah.
01:20:37.160 He says,
01:20:37.520 I didn't create it.
01:20:38.460 He says,
01:20:39.100 I didn't create it that way,
01:20:40.080 meaning that something happened.
01:20:41.040 So that's where we put an angelic rebellion.
01:20:42.960 And what was that?
01:20:43.800 There was water everywhere.
01:20:45.260 Water was part of that judgment.
01:20:46.380 And then,
01:20:47.000 and then he had to,
01:20:47.980 and he had to do,
01:20:48.640 you know,
01:20:48.800 get rid of the water and then bring for,
01:20:51.260 divide the waters up and bring forth the land so that,
01:20:53.560 you know,
01:20:54.060 you could have life.
01:20:54.900 And then of course,
01:20:55.360 the Nephilim getting destroyed in the flood and then Pharaoh's army.
01:20:59.880 But also remember that when the,
01:21:02.220 when the Jews entered the Israelites into the promised land,
01:21:04.940 they crossed the Jordan river.
01:21:06.100 There was another one.
01:21:07.440 And that's where John the Baptist was baptizing people because the Jordan river
01:21:11.740 also represented because I mean,
01:21:13.320 they wandered in the wilderness for 40 years because they were screwing up.
01:21:16.060 So,
01:21:16.580 and they were still worshiping these idols.
01:21:18.120 So they had to basically be baptized again through the Jordan river to leave
01:21:23.280 the,
01:21:24.000 the evil behind them and go into the promised land.
01:21:26.240 So that was another crossing of the water.
01:21:27.880 And then of course,
01:21:28.540 that's where John the Baptist was baptizing people in that same river.
01:21:32.480 That's fascinating.
01:21:33.380 It acts almost like a barrier for entry,
01:21:35.000 like to,
01:21:35.720 to come in here,
01:21:36.540 you got to leave this behind.
01:21:37.720 And it's like,
01:21:38.260 you,
01:21:38.500 you have to cross over this river anyway.
01:21:40.140 So like get washed in it,
01:21:42.280 you know,
01:21:42.640 that's fascinating.
01:21:44.220 You know,
01:21:44.380 it's even more fascinating.
01:21:45.420 And you know,
01:21:46.680 in the Euphrates,
01:21:47.460 you see in revelation,
01:21:48.300 there were angels bound in the,
01:21:49.600 in the Euphrates river.
01:21:51.060 Have you guys ever seen the movie signs?
01:21:53.500 Yeah.
01:21:54.080 Oh,
01:21:54.500 they didn't like water.
01:21:56.240 Have you seen that with Mel Gibson,
01:21:57.540 Ed?
01:21:57.820 Yeah.
01:21:58.000 Yeah.
01:21:58.140 I saw it.
01:21:58.440 It was,
01:21:58.660 yeah.
01:21:59.120 I think I saw it when it first came out.
01:22:00.320 So I was like,
01:22:00.680 swing away Merle.
01:22:01.680 Yeah.
01:22:02.300 Yeah.
01:22:02.520 So like,
01:22:03.160 yeah,
01:22:03.420 we don't know how to defeat these aliens and it just turns out that it's water.
01:22:06.760 And I never thought about it until now.
01:22:08.320 It's like,
01:22:08.800 interesting.
01:22:10.140 What do these people know?
01:22:11.260 What does Mel Gibson know?
01:22:12.560 I don't know.
01:22:13.320 Is he really that buff these days?
01:22:14.600 He's pretty buff these days.
01:22:16.000 Is he?
01:22:16.360 Is he like,
01:22:17.360 you know,
01:22:17.540 old man rocked out?
01:22:19.900 Okay.
01:22:20.460 I'm not mad at him.
01:22:21.340 I need,
01:22:21.500 I need to do that.
01:22:22.320 It's pretty jacked.
01:22:23.000 Very jacked.
01:22:24.240 Um,
01:22:24.580 all right.
01:22:24.880 So I'm working on,
01:22:25.480 I'm working on matching my deep squats.
01:22:27.040 I can't,
01:22:27.240 I'm just,
01:22:27.960 I said,
01:22:30.600 are you in the gym,
01:22:31.360 Ed?
01:22:32.360 Um,
01:22:32.760 not as much as I should be.
01:22:33.640 I'm,
01:22:33.780 I'm working on like,
01:22:34.780 like mobility right now.
01:22:36.020 And there is this,
01:22:36.880 and I was told by my chiropractor to that,
01:22:38.880 you know,
01:22:39.280 the main thing I should do is like,
01:22:41.240 get comfortable with just being in a deep squat,
01:22:43.400 like on the regular.
01:22:44.980 And this is like really healthy as you age deep,
01:22:47.380 he said deep,
01:22:47.960 doing deep squats and also like hanging,
01:22:49.660 like,
01:22:49.820 you know,
01:22:50.120 I have a pull-up bar in a garage and,
01:22:51.960 you know,
01:22:52.280 do pull-ups,
01:22:52.840 but she said,
01:22:53.260 just hang there.
01:22:53.940 And it's going to help your shoulder mobility,
01:22:55.180 your spine and all those sorts of things.
01:22:57.000 So he's a good idea.
01:22:57.960 She wants me to do that and get like all my mobility back and then start
01:23:00.900 lifting.
01:23:01.200 Because if you do that,
01:23:01.960 otherwise you're going to start getting tight.
01:23:03.340 So the goal is to,
01:23:05.560 you know,
01:23:06.040 be able to,
01:23:06.760 you know,
01:23:07.020 get in deep squat and be there for like several minutes.
01:23:10.680 And that,
01:23:11.300 that opens up the hip mobility and you can start doing squats and stuff like
01:23:13.800 that.
01:23:14.400 I've unfortunately gotten to the age finally,
01:23:16.540 where if I don't warm up before I start lifting,
01:23:18.680 I will tweak something.
01:23:19.780 Oh yeah.
01:23:20.120 And I just like,
01:23:21.140 man,
01:23:21.260 remember those days where you're like warm up,
01:23:22.780 warm up.
01:23:23.300 Are you kidding me?
01:23:23.960 Just go and do whatever the hell you want.
01:23:25.720 And you'd immediately,
01:23:26.520 yeah,
01:23:26.800 now we don't,
01:23:27.700 we don't have that much more time with Ed.
01:23:29.000 So we have two more quick questions or,
01:23:31.400 well,
01:23:31.460 one's not a question.
01:23:33.320 Schizofriend says,
01:23:34.000 no questions.
01:23:34.660 Just let Ed know he's appreciated.
01:23:37.620 You're appreciated.
01:23:38.740 Ed.
01:23:38.940 Awesome.
01:23:39.180 Schizofriend is appreciated.
01:23:40.500 I like Schizofriend.
01:23:41.020 He's going to come down to hang out at the shop.
01:23:42.640 One of these weeks.
01:23:43.120 Let's go.
01:23:45.120 And I guess the last question and we could wrap it up here is what is Ed's
01:23:49.000 favorite book of the Bible?
01:23:51.380 This is a good question.
01:23:53.820 Wow.
01:23:54.840 Yeah.
01:23:55.580 I got to pick one.
01:23:59.060 I'm going to cheat and pick three.
01:24:01.480 What?
01:24:01.920 That's not fair.
01:24:02.840 I know it's totally not,
01:24:03.880 but they're different,
01:24:04.460 very different reasons.
01:24:06.800 And one is,
01:24:08.420 I love the book of Daniel.
01:24:11.100 Daniel is like one of my favorite books because it,
01:24:13.420 there's so much there about God's nature and also the nature of,
01:24:17.220 of,
01:24:17.460 of the spiritual realm and the Elohim.
01:24:19.900 No,
01:24:20.080 that's the greatest prophecy of Jesus is in chapter nine,
01:24:23.020 the 70th week,
01:24:23.780 the 70 weeks prophecy.
01:24:25.740 It gets behind the scenes into what's going on in the spiritual realm with,
01:24:29.420 with the,
01:24:30.440 with his vision of,
01:24:31.760 of those four beasts and talking about how they represent all,
01:24:35.020 they represent all the empires.
01:24:36.120 And then chapter 10,
01:24:37.160 where you have the battle between the,
01:24:39.060 the,
01:24:40.060 the angel who's coming down to give him a message.
01:24:42.120 And he has to fight the Prince of Persia.
01:24:44.540 And then after that,
01:24:45.480 he says,
01:24:45.800 I've got to go back and fight this guy again.
01:24:47.780 And then I've got to fight the Prince of Greece.
01:24:49.520 And that's letting you know that it,
01:24:51.060 and again,
01:24:51.600 the Greek empire was like 200 years later.
01:24:54.180 And so you,
01:24:54.940 so you,
01:24:55.460 so first of all,
01:24:56.120 they knew that Greece would be the next major empire.
01:24:58.680 And,
01:24:59.120 and it's a spiritual battle going on behind the scenes,
01:25:01.280 not just what's happening on the surface.
01:25:04.280 And so what happens in the spiritual realm happens first,
01:25:06.620 then it happens in the,
01:25:08.160 in the physical realm.
01:25:09.580 So that was,
01:25:10.320 so I love Daniel.
01:25:11.800 The other one is the book of Romans,
01:25:13.800 because if you ever want the book of Romans is systematic theology.
01:25:18.640 Paul starts at the very beginning and just explains Christianity.
01:25:21.940 The first eight chapters of the book of Romans is the greatest explanation of
01:25:27.900 the Christian faith that you're ever going to find.
01:25:30.420 It starts with original sin and goes all the way to salvation and why it's
01:25:35.160 important.
01:25:36.620 So I love that.
01:25:37.180 And of course my,
01:25:38.160 so I guess if you want to nail me down,
01:25:39.540 my favorite book is revelation.
01:25:40.380 I just,
01:25:40.840 I,
01:25:41.400 I just dig and I've done a whole series on it.
01:25:43.760 So that,
01:25:44.180 so I guess my favorite book would be revelation and honorable mention goes to
01:25:48.220 Daniel and Romans.
01:25:49.140 And the reason I love revelation is because it helps you understand,
01:25:52.420 first of all,
01:25:52.760 because you have to know the rest of the Bible in order to understand
01:25:55.740 revelation.
01:25:57.000 And it's the last chapter is the grand finale.
01:25:59.500 It's,
01:25:59.680 it's,
01:25:59.920 you know,
01:26:00.060 it's the,
01:26:00.260 it's the final lightsaber duel.
01:26:01.680 It's the end of every good movie has that climactic scene where everything
01:26:06.520 comes together and the hero gets what he wants.
01:26:09.920 And,
01:26:10.400 and the revelations at the end of revelation,
01:26:12.680 God gets what he wants in the end.
01:26:14.820 I never understood people who said like,
01:26:16.880 there's a lot of people like devout Christians who go,
01:26:19.080 I don't really care too much about the book of revelation.
01:26:21.100 I'm not an end times guy.
01:26:22.120 I'm like,
01:26:22.720 how could you not be at an end times?
01:26:24.680 It is the God's telling you his story.
01:26:27.780 And that's the part where you go.
01:26:30.760 There's a part in the Stephen King book where he,
01:26:32.560 he goes before you end this story,
01:26:34.240 the dark tower,
01:26:34.740 he goes,
01:26:35.120 you could stop here and just be happy with the journey or you could turn the
01:26:38.620 page and finish the story.
01:26:39.760 And everybody finishes the story.
01:26:41.960 I was like,
01:26:42.440 how could you,
01:26:43.700 this is the end of the story.
01:26:44.840 Like this is the part.
01:26:46.300 And this is the part of the story that you're in.
01:26:48.140 We are in that.
01:26:49.300 I think I believe we're in a church age.
01:26:51.500 So we're in that chapters two and three of revelation.
01:26:53.820 We're in the church age.
01:26:54.780 And then,
01:26:55.080 you know,
01:26:55.340 why wouldn't you want to know what's going to happen next?
01:26:57.680 Right.
01:26:58.100 In the world.
01:26:59.680 The reason people don't get into,
01:27:01.040 it's a tough read.
01:27:02.140 I mean,
01:27:02.300 that's why I did 60 bloody episodes on it.
01:27:05.260 Yeah.
01:27:05.660 And even then I still think I just only scratched the surface.
01:27:08.460 It's very complex.
01:27:09.480 And some people just don't,
01:27:10.940 they want to read the Beatitudes.
01:27:12.640 Blessed are they who do this,
01:27:14.160 which is fine.
01:27:14.780 Don't get me wrong.
01:27:15.500 And the parables are great,
01:27:16.460 but some people just don't want to take that deeper dive.
01:27:19.740 It takes a lot of effort to understand revelation.
01:27:22.380 And if you don't want to put forth the effort,
01:27:23.580 then you're like,
01:27:23.920 I don't care about that.
01:27:24.840 It's weird.
01:27:26.460 It's like people don't like conspiracies.
01:27:27.700 What's wrong with you?
01:27:28.940 Yeah.
01:27:29.220 Get out of here.
01:27:29.640 Well,
01:27:29.780 here's a weird conspiracy.
01:27:31.060 I have a weird conspiracy.
01:27:32.360 I can't help it.
01:27:33.140 I just noticed patterns.
01:27:34.220 You know,
01:27:34.340 we go through revelation with Ed.
01:27:36.140 We go through the book of Daniel with Matt.
01:27:39.180 Ed says bloody,
01:27:41.520 which is like a kind of an English.
01:27:43.160 And Matt says wanker.
01:27:45.440 What the heck is going on?
01:27:46.780 He's got like British spies or something.
01:27:48.580 That's weird,
01:27:49.360 dude.
01:27:49.440 No,
01:27:49.740 if you do.
01:27:50.320 Okay.
01:27:51.100 Here's something I'm going to say that's not,
01:27:52.460 it's not very kind,
01:27:53.380 but I've never really liked Brits that much.
01:27:55.460 I don't know what it is about Brits.
01:27:58.080 It's just a widely accepted thing.
01:28:00.400 It's so funny.
01:28:01.060 When I was talking to,
01:28:02.380 when I was a couple months ago,
01:28:03.720 when I was talking to Murko,
01:28:05.120 when I was,
01:28:05.580 he flew me out there to talk to him.
01:28:07.200 We both have that in common.
01:28:08.920 Totally off the cuff.
01:28:09.720 He's like,
01:28:09.980 you know what?
01:28:10.240 I just can't stand Brits.
01:28:11.400 I'm like,
01:28:11.620 me too.
01:28:12.100 Me too.
01:28:12.520 Not into them.
01:28:13.360 Me too.
01:28:14.120 Here's the thing.
01:28:14.600 And I will act with yes.
01:28:16.420 Every time,
01:28:17.020 because every interaction I've had with a Brit,
01:28:18.720 they've been an a-hole.
01:28:20.460 Now,
01:28:20.860 I will totally admit that maybe like 95% of Brits are wonderful people.
01:28:25.240 And I've just by sheer luck only run into the 5% that are wankers.
01:28:30.440 You know what?
01:28:31.400 Here's the reality.
01:28:32.500 Wankers.
01:28:33.060 I don't deal with losers.
01:28:35.120 They're big losers.
01:28:36.100 They just lose.
01:28:36.680 Like when I look at them,
01:28:37.540 I just go 1776.
01:28:39.880 You know,
01:28:40.320 what are we talking about here?
01:28:41.720 They're bad losers too.
01:28:43.020 No,
01:28:43.180 they're good.
01:28:43.500 They're good.
01:28:43.780 Just stay over there.
01:28:44.700 Well,
01:28:44.820 I mean like,
01:28:45.180 you know,
01:28:45.360 you lose and you have some like,
01:28:46.580 Hey,
01:28:46.740 good game.
01:28:47.500 They lost,
01:28:48.080 like they lost dentistry.
01:28:49.860 And like,
01:28:50.320 they just keep making bad food.
01:28:52.340 Okay.
01:28:52.940 Here's real quick.
01:28:54.460 How come,
01:28:55.540 why are all of our actors Brits?
01:28:57.260 I mean,
01:28:57.620 Spider-Man's a Brit.
01:28:58.760 Superman.
01:28:59.340 I don't like that.
01:29:00.180 I don't like that either.
01:29:00.980 Did we run out of American actors?
01:29:02.700 The guy from house,
01:29:03.600 the guy from,
01:29:04.180 uh,
01:29:04.640 uh,
01:29:05.280 the walking dead is British.
01:29:06.780 Is Christian Bale British?
01:29:08.300 Honestly,
01:29:08.620 they might be.
01:29:09.700 See what I mean?
01:29:10.400 No,
01:29:10.600 Christian Bale's a Brit.
01:29:12.020 Why are they trying to take like super people and make them Brit?
01:29:14.840 Like British people are far from super,
01:29:16.820 like genetically speaking,
01:29:17.840 they're a mess.
01:29:18.500 The teeth thing,
01:29:19.340 everything.
01:29:20.140 And also they put them with a different,
01:29:21.680 this is like,
01:29:22.220 we've gone off the road.
01:29:23.660 They put them with a different accent.
01:29:24.920 Rick Grimes has a British accent.
01:29:26.920 And they put them in a country accent.
01:29:28.620 Yeah.
01:29:28.840 What are you doing?
01:29:29.460 We got country people here.
01:29:30.620 We have plenty of country.
01:29:31.640 You wouldn't hire me to do a British accent for a British role.
01:29:34.280 Makes no sense.
01:29:35.060 I mean,
01:29:35.240 you have an Island the size of what?
01:29:36.880 Like,
01:29:37.120 I don't know.
01:29:37.660 Maybe it's the size of not,
01:29:39.740 not even New York,
01:29:40.320 maybe Virginia or something.
01:29:41.720 And you have this whole country and you,
01:29:43.220 and you can't come.
01:29:44.160 It's so weird.
01:29:44.980 But when you're hearing an actor,
01:29:46.080 you know,
01:29:46.260 they're doing their,
01:29:46.920 they're doing their thing on stage or whatever.
01:29:48.300 And then you hear them interviewed and like,
01:29:49.520 they have the accent.
01:29:51.000 I'm like,
01:29:51.400 you're a Brit too.
01:29:53.440 Yeah.
01:29:54.060 Always disappoint.
01:29:54.720 I think we should bomb them.
01:29:56.200 No,
01:29:56.400 David,
01:29:57.760 David,
01:29:59.040 no,
01:29:59.780 but all that to say,
01:30:01.920 I use,
01:30:02.360 I just say bloody because I don't want to,
01:30:03.740 I'm trying not to use profanity.
01:30:05.700 Not that I,
01:30:06.400 not that I've been working on that.
01:30:07.360 It's not,
01:30:07.920 but it's,
01:30:08.280 it can be a stumbling block.
01:30:09.780 That's why I don't use profanity on faith by reason.
01:30:12.760 Not because I don't use it in real life.
01:30:14.300 You drive with me and you will hear me cursing like a sailor,
01:30:16.720 but I don't want it to be a stumbling block to certain people who believe
01:30:20.000 that it's wrong to curse.
01:30:21.920 I just,
01:30:22.200 just like Paul said,
01:30:23.000 I don't,
01:30:23.220 don't eat meat,
01:30:23.820 sacrifice idols.
01:30:24.560 It's going to be a stumbling block.
01:30:25.520 I try my best not to use profanity when I'm talking on a show about Christ.
01:30:30.080 Just that reason.
01:30:31.160 I,
01:30:31.600 I've been trying.
01:30:32.840 I'm not so good at it.
01:30:34.220 I was,
01:30:34.600 I was doing the Raven the other day and I was saying some choice words,
01:30:38.020 but I'm,
01:30:38.320 I'm really getting,
01:30:38.960 I'm getting better.
01:30:39.480 I think I've been doing better.
01:30:40.380 I do the editing on it and I look,
01:30:42.000 we look,
01:30:42.500 we look at the slurs.
01:30:43.920 And you can see it used to be like 32 times.
01:30:46.720 I count them.
01:30:47.320 I said,
01:30:47.600 David did that one.
01:30:48.460 But all right,
01:30:48.700 we got to get out of here.
01:30:49.860 All right.
01:30:50.200 And thank you for joining us one more time before you get out of here though.
01:30:52.800 Where can everybody find your,
01:30:54.180 your work?
01:30:55.880 Find me on faithbyreason.net.
01:30:58.180 You can be,
01:30:59.500 you can read the stuff there for free.
01:31:00.820 Some,
01:31:01.460 a lot of stuff's going behind the paywall there.
01:31:03.440 And if you go behind the paywall,
01:31:05.420 you can,
01:31:05.540 you know,
01:31:05.720 you can get,
01:31:06.280 you know,
01:31:06.380 the discounts on the books.
01:31:07.220 You can get all of the revelation series.
01:31:09.360 When I do the spiritual warfare class,
01:31:11.180 it's going to be,
01:31:13.000 you know,
01:31:13.180 you have access to it.
01:31:14.120 If you want to pay through patron as well,
01:31:15.800 but it'll be through this because it's through WordPress.
01:31:18.240 I'll be,
01:31:18.480 I'll be doing there using their membership stuff there to,
01:31:21.520 to have the course available because it's a little easier to doing it on
01:31:24.300 Patreon.
01:31:24.720 So you have access to that there.
01:31:27.800 And so on Patreon at faith by reason,
01:31:30.380 of patreon.com slash faith by reason.
01:31:31.980 That's where you do the,
01:31:33.180 get the Q and A's and you get content dropping there first and the revelation
01:31:36.560 series and the Bible study and all that great stuff.
01:31:39.520 And,
01:31:40.000 Oh,
01:31:40.060 I have to do one more thing.
01:31:41.680 There are different tiers of Patreons.
01:31:43.800 And one of the things I promised for my people who are my Patreons who are at
01:31:47.520 the higher tier,
01:31:48.080 I said,
01:31:48.300 I will start giving them shout outs.
01:31:49.520 So I do a quick shout out to a few,
01:31:51.940 to my upper tier Patreons.
01:31:53.480 That's Alex,
01:31:54.800 Trevor Erno,
01:31:56.420 Contra and Nishi group.
01:31:58.520 Those,
01:31:59.100 those folks are supporting me at a higher level.
01:32:02.020 I really appreciate the support.
01:32:03.660 And if you want to get a shout out here and on some of my other stuff,
01:32:07.580 Hey,
01:32:08.020 go to the different tiers.
01:32:12.020 Appreciation benefactor.
01:32:13.300 And then he goes in the cornerstone.
01:32:14.500 He's like sugar daddy.
01:32:15.700 I love it.
01:32:17.080 Yeah.
01:32:17.200 If you go,
01:32:17.780 if you go to that level,
01:32:18.660 I will call you,
01:32:19.520 I will refer to you as sugar daddy or sugar mama on every single.
01:32:22.600 We have a daddy tier.
01:32:24.520 Yeah.
01:32:24.840 We got one too.
01:32:25.560 We got a daddy tier and a mommy tier.
01:32:28.300 And you're a wild man.
01:32:30.220 Yeah.
01:32:30.380 And at one of the levels I give you,
01:32:31.340 you know,
01:32:31.460 signed copies of my book actually need to send those out pretty soon.
01:32:33.760 I got to sign those and mail them to those folks.
01:32:36.940 So yeah,
01:32:37.180 it's just some people have asked,
01:32:38.440 we want to support you more.
01:32:39.420 I'm like,
01:32:39.620 Oh yeah,
01:32:39.740 great.
01:32:39.960 Yeah.
01:32:40.100 I will give you the opportunity to do that.
01:32:42.960 And I will try to give you something a little special.
01:32:45.080 And if you're at the hundred,
01:32:46.380 at the,
01:32:46.800 um,
01:32:46.980 the,
01:32:47.380 what the cornerstone tier,
01:32:48.480 and I,
01:32:49.200 you know,
01:32:49.640 we get a monthly one-on-one with me where I can,
01:32:52.340 we'll just talk about whatever we want to talk about.
01:32:55.220 Um,
01:32:55.780 by the way,
01:32:56.320 on the way out 75%,
01:32:58.360 it held strong,
01:32:59.160 a lot more votes,
01:33:00.080 but it held strong.
01:33:00.920 75% of the dangerous retards say,
01:33:02.840 no,
01:33:03.900 Christians should not celebrate.
01:33:05.160 You're going to have to get your sour candies at the store.
01:33:08.400 Yeah.
01:33:09.160 You got to know your own path though.
01:33:10.600 You got to know where you are as a Christian.
01:33:12.240 That's,
01:33:12.480 that's what it is.
01:33:12.960 Don't do it.
01:33:13.340 If,
01:33:13.540 if,
01:33:13.780 if you don't want to do it,
01:33:14.800 then absolutely all 75% of you don't absolutely not.
01:33:18.540 And that's no problem with that.
01:33:19.540 I,
01:33:20.080 like I said,
01:33:20.640 if you,
01:33:21.020 if you are doing it and you're just having fun,
01:33:23.120 don't feel guilty.
01:33:23.920 But if you don't want to do it,
01:33:25.080 then do not.
01:33:27.340 All right.
01:33:28.040 You guys heard it.
01:33:28.560 Awesome.
01:33:29.200 Uh,
01:33:29.520 uh,
01:33:29.780 Halloween episode,
01:33:30.700 Ed,
01:33:30.880 thanks again.
01:33:31.440 Always a blessing when you come on and I'm encouraged.
01:33:34.240 I see the fact that you've opened up the tears means that people have asked.
01:33:38.300 That means that they're supporting you.
01:33:39.640 And that is awesome.
01:33:41.260 That is awesome.
01:33:41.960 It's all.
01:33:42.320 It's yeah,
01:33:42.800 dude.
01:33:43.620 Yeah.
01:33:43.900 I,
01:33:44.100 you can't,
01:33:45.300 you can only open the thing up and show the people,
01:33:47.900 but they are the ones that have to choose it.
01:33:49.860 And they're choosing,
01:33:50.700 uh,
01:33:51.500 correctly.
01:33:54.300 And,
01:33:54.700 you know,
01:33:55.260 I,
01:33:55.540 like I said,
01:33:55.800 I offered it at that,
01:33:56.820 at the a hundred dollar tier that,
01:33:58.080 you know,
01:33:58.260 we,
01:33:59.060 you get an hour with,
01:34:00.320 yeah,
01:34:00.680 something like an hour,
01:34:01.400 45 minutes,
01:34:01.860 whatever.
01:34:02.160 And they,
01:34:02.500 and they want the time.
01:34:03.560 And I actually had that with folks.
01:34:05.240 I'm like,
01:34:05.420 Hey,
01:34:05.560 thank you.
01:34:06.000 I appreciate it.
01:34:06.560 And I will,
01:34:07.140 I will be happy to spend time with you directly and talk about whatever you want to talk about.
01:34:11.140 There's been some questions,
01:34:12.360 some spiritual warfare stuff.
01:34:14.640 And,
01:34:15.140 you know,
01:34:15.560 I value,
01:34:16.680 I appreciate you valuing my time.
01:34:18.420 And so,
01:34:18.900 yeah,
01:34:19.200 if you want to do that,
01:34:19.920 then join that tier.
01:34:20.700 If you don't join,
01:34:21.620 whatever you want to do.
01:34:23.900 Onward and upward.
01:34:24.680 I think only good things are coming soon.
01:34:26.600 By the way,
01:34:27.000 guys.
01:34:27.560 Yeah.
01:34:28.380 Blappy Halloween.
01:34:29.300 Oh,
01:34:29.420 Blappy.
01:34:29.660 Blappy Halloween.
01:34:31.060 And we will see you probably sometimes next week.
01:34:34.340 Don't forget to obey,
01:34:35.740 submit,
01:34:36.160 and comply.
01:34:36.940 Goodbye,
