00:00:00.000 up guys. Welcome to the Just Apparently Things YouTube channel. Today I want to talk about
00:00:05.900 why as a female athlete I don't care at all, not even in the slightest, about men playing
00:00:15.920 in women's sports. So for those of you that don't know, I realize there's some new people
00:00:21.820 on my channel. I played volleyball from the time I was 10 years old until like a year
00:00:28.920 ago. And my plan was actually to go overseas and play semi-professional. And then after
00:00:36.600 a year, I was going to go play professional. When my YouTube channel took off, I was looking
00:00:42.380 at different offers to play overseas. And I ended up just doing the, I mean, before I got
00:00:51.340 demonetized, this made a lot more money than professional volleyball. But I was really good.
00:00:56.780 I could have played. And I mean, as anyone is going to be after like 15 years, right? So
00:01:05.220 anyways, long story short, one time there was a spring tournament for volleyball. And at
00:01:16.240 this tournament, they, the Volleyball League Association, whatever, had a bunch of trans
00:01:23.000 people playing in this tournament. And so it was basically dudes with a bunch of boob jobs
00:01:31.640 playing in this tournament. And what happened was, I actually went around interviewing people
00:01:40.280 asking like the women asking their thoughts on it. And I was the one complaining to the tournament
00:01:46.460 director about, you know, these guys playing. And to make a long story short, for every one woman
00:01:58.280 that was supporting me in this or like agreeing with me, there was probably 10 that were complaining
00:02:08.100 about me going around complaining to the director, complaining about me doing the interviews, rather
00:02:17.840 than these dudes with boob jobs playing in the tournament. And at that moment, guys, I just
00:02:27.340 did not care. I said, do you know what, women vote for this and will die on this and are too
00:02:36.020 scared to say no. I don't care. I don't care in the slightest. If they let in men and they destroy
00:02:50.320 women's sports. The other thing, and I've wanted to do a video of the pros and cons of women's
00:02:55.940 sports. It is very difficult to have if you don't meet the person you're going to date in
00:03:04.440 the sport, like from the men's team or something like that. It's very difficult to have like
00:03:13.120 a normal life and like a normal social life and play sports. I'm not saying that it can't
00:03:22.820 happen. But it's just very time consuming. And at the end of the day, women's sports operates
00:03:32.580 at a loss. So none of the leagues make any money. And all the women, like there's another
00:03:41.060 girl on one of my teams a couple of years ago. And I was trying to explain to her that
00:03:46.460 women's sports just don't make money. And it just like would not compute. I don't know,
00:03:57.400 it did not go through her head. She kept complaining about how we didn't get equal pay and how men
00:04:03.080 make more money and dah, dah, dah, dah, dah. And I just thought if you guys are so stupid
00:04:09.340 that you guys can't do math, like you can't, like you don't know the difference between profits
00:04:15.500 and revenue. Like, yeah, the revenue might be up, but if we don't have any profits,
00:04:19.660 it makes sense that we're not going to get paid as much of the men. And I would just look at the
00:04:26.440 stands and I'd be like, guys, there's nobody here. Like, how do you think we're making money?
00:04:34.460 And in a way, women's sports, as much as I love it, loved it, and I still like to play.
00:04:41.300 And it does build character. I will say that that's like the one positive is
00:04:45.240 you learn to take orders. You learn to be coachable. You learn to work hard. Like those
00:04:49.740 are good things, right? But it's really just play pretend, um, kind of like babysitting adults
00:04:56.960 in a way because it, like it doesn't make any money and all the women in it are convinced that
00:05:08.720 they deserve more money when, and like that they're oppressed, but it makes $0. Um,
00:05:18.740 so as far as I'm concerned, if they cut women's sports altogether, I don't really care. If women
00:05:31.220 want to play sports, why don't you just play in a league that you can pay to play in? Like there's
00:05:37.540 leagues where you can pay money and you're into the tournament or whatever, or do co-ed.
00:05:45.380 But if we're just going to take the men's money and complain after, the lack of gratitude is so
00:05:52.940 appalling that I just hope, to be honest, they should cut the WNBA altogether. Until these women
00:06:01.700 stop complaining about pay, they should be thanking the men for allowing them to have a league to begin
00:06:08.360 with. And for every one girl that complains about women's sports, sorry, about men and women's sports,
00:06:17.860 there's probably 10 women fighting to keep them there.
00:06:22.840 Um, so I hope it crashes and burns. I think politicians should focus on different issues.
00:06:30.640 Um, I think there's way bigger issues than dude, a dude playing in a league that doesn't make any
00:06:38.520 money anyways. So that's my two cents. Let me know what you guys think in the comments.
00:06:43.120 Um, like the video on your way out, subscribe, and I'll see you next time.
