00:01:11.860 And she got People's deemed most sexiest man alive, right?

00:01:21.000 I mean, maybe she's higher, but like, you know.
00:01:24.420 Okay, after getting her career started as a publicist in the 1990s,
00:01:28.020 Yeager has since switched roles and become a producer and screenwriter.
00:01:31.200 In 2017, Yeager and Rudd collaborated on the film Fun Mom Dinner,
00:01:35.400 which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival.
00:01:38.040 Yeager wrote the screenplay while her and her husband served as executive producer
00:01:41.760 and made a cameo in the movie.
00:01:44.560 She met Rudd in his publicist's office.
00:01:47.100 Talk about the perfect meet-cute.
00:01:48.660 Shortly after the success of Clueless,
00:01:52.200 Rudd set himself up in New York to get a publicist.
00:01:54.860 When he walked into the office, he was introduced to Yeager,
00:01:57.600 who was working at the office at the time.
00:02:00.440 He took her to lunch a few days later and their romance blossomed.
00:02:03.540 She was the first person I met in New York City, he explained to Marie Claire UK in 2018.
00:02:10.120 When we started talking and there was a maturity with her,
00:02:14.120 she had experienced some tragedy in her life, and I had too.
00:02:17.440 And the impression I got was, wow, this is a woman, this isn't a girl.
00:02:21.940 She and Rudd have been married for 20 years.
00:02:28.700 Those are cute kids, look at that, cute kids.
00:02:31.420 All right, the couple tied the knot in a private ceremony in 2003
00:02:34.560 and have since welcomed two kids together.
00:02:36.400 Their son, John Sullivan, was born in 2006, followed by their daughter, Darby, in 2010.
00:02:42.060 In 2015, the family posed for a sweet photo
00:02:45.740 while Rudd was presented with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
00:02:50.860 However, as the actor told Marie Claire UK,
00:02:53.540 his and Yeager's children are anything but impressed by their dad's fame.
00:02:57.320 Oh, I'm still the embarrassing dad, he says.
00:02:59.520 My daughter is eight and thinks I'm the bee's knees. 1.00
00:03:02.620 My son is 13 and doesn't even want me going to his school.
00:03:06.820 I make jokes to a series of eye rules.
00:03:08.900 On February 6, 2023, Rudd confirmed that his kids still aren't too impressed with his work.
00:03:13.920 I think I'm dad more than I'm Ant-Man or the MCU.
00:03:18.160 Yeah, they don't care, nor should they, he said.
00:03:20.440 During the Ant-Man and the Wasp premiere in LA.
00:03:25.400 Later that month, Rudd spoke about Jack and Darby again
00:03:29.060 when he revealed that the kids only recently realized that their dad is in fact an actor.
00:03:34.920 When my kids were very young, I'm not going to sit my kids down when they're three
00:03:38.020 and say, you know, I've got some DVDs to show you, he said.
00:03:41.060 In an interview, I didn't really explain what I did.
00:03:44.120 He recalled when his son was about four or five and went to a movie theater
00:03:47.340 to see a movie with his friends.
00:03:49.460 We were all going and there was a movie poster that I was on in the lobby, the actor said.
00:03:54.960 And they all just thought that I worked at the movie theater, which I thought was very cute.
00:04:00.360 She and Rudd are business partners.
00:04:02.020 That's a mistake.
00:04:05.020 Oh, Rudd, don't do it.
00:04:09.740 Don't do it.
00:04:11.120 Okay, not only are Yeager and Rudd business partners in marriage and parenthood,
00:04:15.380 but they also happen to be business partners too.
00:04:18.240 After Rudd kept finding himself walking into a store
00:04:20.620 called the Samuel Sweet Shop in Rhinebeck, New York,
00:04:24.540 he decided to purchase the store after the previous owner died.
00:04:28.940 However, he and Yeager aren't the only celebrities involved.
00:04:31.920 They co-owned the shop with The Walking Dead star,
00:04:34.640 Jeffrey Dean Morgan and his wife, Hillary Burton.
00:04:38.200 Rudd says he's happiest at home with Yeager and their children.
00:04:41.940 Despite his high profile career, Rudd told people in 2021
00:04:45.300 that the couple's home life is pretty low key.
00:04:47.500 When I think that about myself, I think of myself as a husband and a father,
00:04:51.480 they're like, I'm that, he said.
00:04:53.260 I just hang out with my family when I'm not working,
00:04:55.880 and that's what I kind of like the most.
00:04:57.880 Back in 2011, Rudd revealed to Ellie that he doesn't think his personal life
00:05:02.960 is going to sell a lot of tabloids.
00:05:05.040 My wife and I have been together for 16 years.
00:05:07.900 My parents were married my whole life until my father passed away a few years ago.
00:05:12.140 Their marriage inspired parts of This is 40 and Knocked Up.
00:05:16.580 While Yeager and Rudd might keep their private lives out of the tabloids,
00:05:20.180 they're not against using their relationship to inform their actor's role.
00:05:24.020 In a 2012 interview with the LA Times director,
00:05:28.660 Judd Apatow revealed that Yeager and Judd's marriage,
00:05:32.100 along with his own relationship with his wife, Leslie Mann,
00:05:35.380 inspired some of the scenes in This is 40 and Knocked Up.
00:05:38.680 Rudd and Apatow would sit with their wives during rehearsal
00:05:41.860 and ask them to share their biggest pet peeves about their partner

00:05:48.240 We'll have the what is annoying you about each other conversation.
00:05:54.080 And that's a lot of what makes it into the movie, he says.
00:05:56.620 In an interview with the Jewish Journal,
00:05:59.420 Rudd shared a specific quote from Yeager that made it into Knocked Up.
00:06:05.840 When Judd was writing the movie, my wife once said,
00:06:08.100 I'm so sick of looking at your back because I was just on the computer all day
00:06:11.440 checking my fantasy football scores. 0.98
00:06:14.780 She is Rudd's, okay, we got 63% real on the boobs. 1.00
00:06:19.720 Thanks, guys.
00:06:20.420 That's very important feedback.
00:06:22.300 She is Rudd's biggest supporter.
00:06:24.360 When it comes to Rudd's career,
00:06:25.780 Yeager is nothing but supportive of her husband's achievements.
00:06:29.160 But when the actor was named People's Sexiest Man Alive in November of 2021,
00:06:33.440 Rudd said that his wife was momentarily stupefied.
00:06:38.140 But, you know, she was very sweet about it, he shared.
00:06:40.760 After some giggling and shock, she said,
00:06:42.960 Oh, they got it right.
00:06:44.820 Rudd also joked that if Yeager had a choice,
00:06:46.960 she would have put another actor on the cover instead.
00:06:50.660 No, she would have voted for Canoe Reeves.
00:06:55.280 Come on, Canoe, I'd vote for him.
00:06:58.180 Rudd calls Yeager his most attractive feature.
00:07:01.100 Okay, so again, oh my gosh, that is such a looks difference.
00:07:06.360 Wow.
00:07:08.140 But hey, they seem happy.
00:07:09.720 Look at, you see he's smiling.
00:07:11.480 You can't really fake these pictures.
