Summary

A growing number of Albertans are waking up to a very clear reality that they'd be better off as a part of the United States than staying in Canada. In today's report, we'll be taking a look at a recent video from American YouTuber Nick Johnson, where he spoke with people who support the idea of this Western province joining the U.S.

00:00:00.000 Start talking about investing in Alberta as a 51st state.
00:00:05.880 So to wake up under the U.S. Constitution,
00:00:11.140 that would be a big breath of fresh air.
00:00:16.840 But when it comes down to the basic framework of how you would separate and become part of the U.S.,
00:00:24.180 it's actually very simple.
00:00:25.840 So there you go.
00:00:27.080 Are these Amish?
00:00:27.660 No, those are girls that are exercising the horses.
00:00:33.680 Well, if that ain't some cowboy shit.
00:00:36.120 Yeah, it's cowboy country.
00:00:37.680 You're in cowboy country.
00:00:39.120 Well, I am in love with this place.
00:00:43.180 And I would, if there's anybody out there that can help make this happen, please do so.
00:00:48.020 I never thought I'd see a U.S. flag, stars and stripes on a house in Canada.
00:00:53.940 But there you go.
00:00:54.640 So I hope that Paul and his friends have success.
00:01:00.000 Because this place is wonderful.
00:01:09.480 Hey everybody, PJ here.
00:01:11.720 It'll come as no surprise to many of you that there's a significant percentage of Albertans in the independence movement
00:01:17.100 that very much like the idea of becoming a part of the United States.
00:01:21.100 There's talk of joining as a territory, an independent protectorate, or full-on statehood.
00:01:27.280 You name it.
00:01:27.760 As many of you will know, this is something I've talked about on this channel before,
00:01:31.900 as I am personally of the belief that Alberta would be better off as a part of the United States
00:01:36.560 than staying in Canada for multiple reasons.
00:01:40.180 In today's report, we'll be taking a look at a recent video from American YouTuber Nick Johnson,
00:01:45.700 where he came to Alberta and spoke with people who support the idea of this Western province joining the United States.
00:01:51.360 I'll leave a link to the full video in the description.
00:01:54.600 Let's watch.
00:01:55.220 And people want to complicate it, and I wonder sometimes if they want to complicate it
00:02:00.840 because they've infiltrated the independence movement to make sure it doesn't happen.
00:02:05.320 So with the Declaration of Independence, there was a clause in the Declaration of Independence
00:02:11.660 that said any Canadian colony or part of it will be allowed to become part of the union
00:02:18.680 without having to go to Congress you're in like Flynn.
00:02:22.320 Okay, I think that's, I'm probably going to mess it up.
00:02:26.500 Article 11?
00:02:27.180 11, yeah, I believe it's 11.
00:02:29.380 So as long as we would have a referendum of 50 plus 1, that meets international law,
00:02:36.160 it also meets Congress, recognizes 50 plus 1 as a majority,
00:02:41.460 and we would make application to the U.S., that would be it.
00:02:44.720 This has already been planned out.
00:02:46.020 I mean, there's already a clause for this in case it ever came up.
00:02:49.060 That's right.
00:02:49.380 You'll notice a pattern every time Alberta independence gets serious.
00:02:53.880 There's always a crowd ready to roll their eyes and say, it'll never happen.
00:02:58.880 These are the same folks who seem more interested in slowing the movement than understanding it.
00:03:04.120 But here's the thing they ignore.
00:03:06.320 The legal groundwork for Alberta joining the United States already exists.
00:03:11.100 Go back to the Articles of Confederation.
00:03:13.280 Yes, America's original framework.
00:03:17.080 And look at Article 11.
00:03:19.360 It explicitly opens up the door for parts of Canada, or all of Canada,
00:03:24.080 to join the Union without jumping through the usual congressional hoops.
00:03:28.920 The American Founding Fathers wanted Canada, or at least parts of it, in the American fold.
00:03:34.940 They've been drafted a path to make it happen.
00:03:37.120 Fast forward to today, Donald Trump brings this idea back into the spotlight,
00:03:42.680 reminding everyone that the American experiment was never meant to stop at 50 states.
00:03:47.940 Growth was part of the vision.
00:03:49.760 In Alberta, it fits the mold.
00:03:51.900 Well, I think it's, you know, I think that everybody's looking for an option.
00:03:58.260 And, you know, with Trump there saying to be the 51st state,
00:04:02.940 I think it opened up the conversation a lot more.
00:04:06.000 And, you know, is it a great idea?
00:04:07.620 It's probably not the worst I've heard.
00:04:09.740 You know, I think there's a lot of opportunities,
00:04:12.160 especially if you turn around and make the American dollar the same as the Canadian dollar.
00:04:19.160 You know, as far as Alberta and Saskatchewan go,
00:04:21.720 I think that would entice a lot of people.
00:04:24.660 And we could keep a lot of our traditions here
00:04:26.800 and maybe adapt a few from the United States.
00:04:29.680 And even if we weren't part of the United States,
00:04:32.120 we could be an independent part.
00:04:35.080 And, you know, as far as we'd be a powerhouse
00:04:37.780 if we were partners with the United States with all the oil
00:04:42.760 and all the stuff we have on the ground here.
00:04:47.420 Like, you know, we have so much stuff here.
00:04:50.440 We'd be a powerhouse.
00:04:51.800 And especially we would get access to the North and access to the South.
00:04:57.300 I don't think anybody would stop us.
00:04:59.460 A growing number of Albertans are waking up to a very clear reality
00:05:03.240 that they'd be better off economically under U.S. capitalism
00:05:07.120 than the centralized, bloated, socialist nightmare that Canada's pushing today.
00:05:12.420 And this is before any formal offer from Washington.
00:05:16.640 Now imagine this.
00:05:18.160 The Trump administration offers a one-to-one exchange.
00:05:22.000 Every Albertans Canadian dollar instantly becomes an American dollar.
00:05:26.220 That's a 40% boost in personal wealth overnight.
00:05:30.460 In return, America gains what amounts to a second Texas.
00:05:34.300 Energy rich, resource heavy, fiercely independent.
00:05:37.820 The U.S. would strengthen itself dramatically.
00:05:41.800 On the global stage, countries like China would never even have a chance to come close.
00:05:47.340 And Albertans, they keep their identity, their traditions,
00:05:51.160 just under a constitution that actually protects those freedoms.
00:05:55.040 Because in the U.S., every state governs like a country of its own.
00:05:59.460 In Canada, it's Ottawa's way or no way.
00:06:02.740 Hey everybody, very quickly.

00:06:16.920 Thanks for watching and God bless you.
00:06:19.460 So, to wake up under the U.S. Constitution,
00:06:25.880 that would be a big breath of fresh air.
00:06:29.640 How would you feel if you wake up one morning and you're an American citizen?
00:06:39.640 Real happy.
00:06:42.220 Yeah.
00:06:43.720 Yeah.
00:06:44.960 Just, uh...
00:06:50.640 You're like tearing up right now.
00:06:54.400 You really want this really bad.
00:06:56.880 Yeah.
00:06:57.060 Is it more about becoming part of the U.S. or just getting the hell out of Canada?
00:07:06.260 It's about freedom.
00:07:08.860 You know?
00:07:14.700 So, there you go.
00:07:16.160 Are these Amish?
00:07:17.280 No.
00:07:17.980 Those are girls that are exercising the horses.
00:07:20.600 Yes.
00:07:21.000 Yes.
00:07:21.320 What?
00:07:21.720 Well, if that ain't some cowboy shit...
00:07:25.180 Yeah, it's cowboy country.
00:07:26.760 You're in cowboy country, so...
00:07:28.240 Did you arrange for the goats?
00:07:30.040 No, I didn't.
00:07:31.260 And the cattle movers?
00:07:31.920 I didn't have to.
00:07:33.340 That's par for the course.
00:07:34.820 It's almost like...
00:07:36.100 I was trying to show you some bison, but there's...
00:07:38.520 I don't...
00:07:38.860 They don't have...
00:07:39.520 The ranch, I think, is up north of here.
00:07:43.120 But anyway, it's...
00:07:44.920 Well, I am in love with this place, and I would...
00:07:50.340 If there's anybody out there that can help make this happen, please do so.
00:07:53.980 Yes.
00:07:55.140 Come on in.
00:07:56.140 This would be a wonderful addition.
00:07:57.600 Let's invest in AB51.
00:07:59.940 Let's get it going.
00:08:01.140 That's what we need.
00:08:02.660 Yeah.
00:08:03.000 So, what do we need to do?
00:08:03.980 We need America to come in and invite the Albertans in.
00:08:11.700 Start talking about investing in Alberta as a 51st state.
00:08:17.560 And that's really...
00:08:18.700 Come and visit.
00:08:20.020 It is gorgeous.
00:08:22.160 It really is.
00:08:25.520 It's like no other place in Canada in my mind.
00:08:29.200 All right.
00:08:29.840 Thanks for watching.
00:08:30.940 Thank you for subscribing.
