Summary

Summaries generated with gmurro/bart-large-finetuned-filtered-spotify-podcast-summ .

Number of people being deported from Canada is at its highest level in more than a decade. More than 18,000 people were deported from the country in 2024, the highest number since 2012. Canada has been a sucker for people, or as a country, for people who want to squat and show up and enjoy all the benefits of this country. That's not to say we shouldn't be welcoming, but you have to come here lawfully and legally.

00:00:00.000 Canada has been a sucker for people, or as a country, for people who want to squat and show up 0.98
00:00:05.900 and enjoy all the benefits of this country. That's not to say we shouldn't be welcoming, 0.93
00:00:11.700 but you know, you have to come here lawfully and legally.
00:00:14.400 The number of people being deported from Canada is at its highest level in more than a decade.
00:00:18.540 According to the Canada Border Services Agency, more than 18,000 people were deported from Canada
00:00:24.900 in 2024. That is the highest number of people since 2012.
00:00:28.780 So I guess the enforcement is going to be chapter two, but chapter one, the government actually taking action, actually sending letters, actually communicating their intent to enforce.
00:00:38.640 That's a good thing.
00:00:39.360 There are way too many people who are not adapting.
00:00:42.400 They're not contributing. 0.80
00:00:43.740 They're only here taking and trying to turn Canada into the shitholes that they left behind. 0.89
00:00:48.960 And Canadians have had enough. 0.58
00:00:50.680 So here you have a video clip that perfectly exemplifies what I'm talking about.
00:00:54.260 The fact that Calgary, Alberta's biggest city, is unrecognizable.
00:00:58.780 it does not look like alberta anymore it looks more like a third world country somewhere in india
00:01:03.580 or pakistan or something like that have a look that's a transit station out in calgary look at
00:01:09.280 that look at that overcrowded unbelievably overcrowded people are fighting to get on a
00:01:19.580 freaking bus look at that look at that this is beyond insane look at that people are actually 0.94
00:01:26.180 pushing each other onto the bus ridiculous screaming that's that's calgary alberta my friend
00:01:34.420 unbelievable this is happening all over canada it's actually a lot worse in toronto ontario
00:01:40.780 it's a lot worse in montreal quebec just a lot worse out east it's terrible in vancouver vancouver
00:01:47.280 is unrecognizable as well but alberta is not immune to this it's the same in edmonton it's
00:01:52.600 the same in Calgary, the big cities, and it's working its way into small-town Alberta.
00:01:57.620 Take it from me, someone who lives in a rural town, very small town,
00:02:01.800 it's creeping its way out here into small-town Alberta.
00:02:05.020 The current government, under its border plan, already gave CBSA an additional $30 million
00:02:09.460 to pay for up to 20,000 removals per year this year and next.
00:02:14.160 The agency says it's on track to deport even more than that.
00:02:17.620 Not all deportees came as asylum seekers.
00:02:19.980 Some came as foreign workers and international students, only to see the rules get tighter.
00:02:25.140 We might say, well, there are just more and more people who are removable and we have to deal with them.
00:02:28.960 It's important to think about how policy choices create more deportable people.
00:02:34.520 The Kearney government has said it wants to slow population growth in Canada, and it appears to be succeeding.
00:02:40.500 Canada's population actually dropped in the last fiscal quarter by 76,000 people, the largest quarterly drop ever recorded.
00:02:47.780 20,000 people is nowhere near enough
00:02:50.080 They gotta do a lot more
00:02:51.620 They gotta do at least 100,000 people
00:02:53.720 Trudeau brought in millions
00:02:56.300 There's an estimated
00:02:58.140 5 million people
00:02:59.780 With expired status in Canada
00:03:02.200 Which means 1.00
00:03:03.660 They're here illegally 1.00
00:03:04.680 There's over 5 million illegals 0.99
00:03:06.960 And to those of you south of the border
00:03:08.500 That may not sound like a lot
00:03:09.640 But you gotta remember
00:03:10.320 Canada has a population of around 40 million people
00:03:12.840 So that is a lot for Canada 0.83
00:03:15.480 Huge numbers
00:03:16.960 and anyone living in canada can see it and can feel it every every time you go to a hospital
00:03:22.480 every time you go to a grocery store every time you go to the local tim hortons which if you're 1.00
00:03:27.560 still going to tim hortons for food you're an idiot every time you go anywhere in canada you 0.99
00:03:32.500 can see it you can see the amount of uncontrolled immigration that has been imposed on this country 1.00
00:03:39.560 imagine if you were indian and you were living in the hell hole that is india and you realize 0.99
00:03:46.040 that America had allowed a situation to develop 0.98
00:03:48.500 where you could buy a degree for $1,000,
00:03:51.780 get yourself into the H-1B pipeline,
00:03:54.360 and find yourself living in pristine first world America, 0.86
00:03:59.460 why exactly wouldn't you do that? 0.94
00:04:03.720 Nobody hates living in India like Indians do. 1.00
00:04:06.640 That's why they fight so desperately not to be sent back. 1.00
00:04:10.340 Nobody wants to live in that hellhole. 1.00
00:04:11.940 so every incentive they have is to defraud the system i'm convinced if we had a doge type 0.98
00:04:21.080 committee that would review carefully every visa application from india every green card
00:04:29.840 application from india every citizen naturalization application from india we would find there's not
00:04:36.480 Not one in 10,000 that's completely lacking in fraud.
00:04:49.800 This is exactly what happens when you let ideology run the country instead of enforcement.
00:04:56.040 For years, the Liberal government opened the floodgates and now we're finding out that
00:05:01.080 thousands of student applications were built on fake acceptance letters.
00:05:06.060 couple of letters either over 1500 flagged over 2000 of them reviewed entire diploma mills illegal
00:05:16.220 activity from overseas charging people 25 grand for forged documents and apparently nobody here
00:05:23.500 caught it i mean come on this isn't some minor paperwork error this is a government failing at
00:05:30.700 enforcing the law or worse didn't want to enforce it at all. In November the provincial government
00:05:36.860 suddenly paused the skills trade immigration stream after identifying systematic misrepresentation
00:05:43.660 and fraud affecting the ability to determine whether applicants meet eligibility criteria.
00:05:50.220 Now you have this massive number of individuals that really don't have a pathway and thought
00:05:55.900 their future was in Canada so it's creating a lot of stress on the system a lot of questions about
00:06:02.300 integrity of why we rolled out a program in this way. Tool and die maker Koljinder Singh was invited
00:06:09.980 by the province to apply to the program which nominates people who have skills and experience
00:06:15.820 needed in the Ontario economy to the federal government for permanent residence. There's
00:06:21.500 families and lives behind those five numbers.
00:06:25.240 Last fall, after waiting almost two years,
00:06:28.220 Singh's application was returned without a decision
00:06:30.520 after the program was suspended.
00:06:33.240 My applications and with other hundreds of applications
00:06:37.400 were returned stating that the skill trade stream
00:06:42.520 under OANP has been suspended
00:06:44.620 as they have found some fraud in the system
00:06:48.100 and they want to protect the integrity of the system.
00:06:52.920 Singh says Ontario needs workers like him,
00:06:55.900 noting that many skilled laborers at his company are nearing retirement age.
00:06:59.840 For years here in Canada, we've been told that compassion means never saying no,
00:07:05.060 that enforcing immigration law somehow makes you heartless,
00:07:09.000 and that questioning record numbers makes you anti-immigrant, apparently.
00:07:13.200 But what about compassion for young Canadians who can't even find a part-time job in their own country?
00:07:20.000 What about the high school and college students sending out dozens of resumes and hearing nothing back,
00:07:25.160 while millions of temporary foreign workers and international students flood the same job market?
00:07:31.220 We now have some of the highest youth unemployment rates in modern Canadian history.
00:07:36.140 And somehow, we're still told that the problem is a labor shortage.
00:07:40.820 Compassion is not the same thing as chaos.
00:07:43.200 And it's not compassionate to young Canadians to import unlimited labor while their own opportunities disappear.
00:07:50.820 A country can welcome newcomers and still enforce limits.
00:07:55.000 It can be generous without being reckless.
00:07:57.520 And it can protect its future generations instead of sacrificing them for political optics.
00:08:03.020 What do you guys think? Let me know in the comments.
00:08:05.400 Is this a good thing to hear? Should the numbers be jacked way up? I think so.
00:08:09.460 I think they should be deporting a lot more people, especially considering the fact that there are over 5 million people with expired status in Canada. 1.00
00:08:17.200 There's just way too many of them. 0.99
00:08:19.000 Let me know what you think in the comments.
