The RCMP has lost more than 200 guns in the last four years, and questions still remain on where those guns have gone, and who will be responsible for them. Meanwhile, Alberta Premier Danielle Smith says that all levels of government, including the RCMP, have been instructed not to participate in any gun confiscation efforts.
00:00:29.180That includes 122 handguns, more than 50 shotguns, more than 20 rifles, three submachine guns and two machine guns reported loss from RCMP detachments across the country in the last four years.
00:00:42.960Nearly half of those guns were lost in 2021 when 99 firearms were reported missing that year.
00:00:51.780Fire in charge of the RCMP, I certainly would launch a criminal investigation on every single one of those missing firearms.
00:00:59.180The RCMP saying very little in response, Heather, saying it can only determine specifically if a firearm was lost by a service member.
00:01:08.420Rather, it cannot determine specifically if a firearm was lost by a service member.
00:01:12.540Also not known if the firearms were ever recovered.
00:01:15.640I'm going to gun control groups urging you to act swiftly on election promises on firearms.
00:01:21.620Meantime, Alberta Premier Danielle Smith went on the record at one of her recent Alberta Next town halls.
00:01:27.020I'm sure you've been briefed on it, saying that all levels of government and police within the province, including RCMP, have been instructed not to participate in any gun confiscation.
00:01:37.320What do you intend to do on the firearms file specifically?
00:01:39.980And what do you make of Premier Smith's position?
00:02:50.760This guy is as methodical and calculated as a literal snake.
00:02:54.520How could the gun buy-back program not be considered a confiscation program when it is mandatory that you sell your guns to the government at whatever price they determine, whether you want to sell them or not?
00:03:09.540How is it that the government of Alberta had to put in place an order to its police telling them not to implement any sort of confiscation order from the federal government if the program is supposed to be voluntary?
00:03:21.920It's pretty obvious that he's lying to Canadians, but that's just par for the course with liberal politicians.
00:03:31.200And Kamal, a bit of a different story here, but also gun-related and making headlines.
00:03:35.660The federal government's gun buy-back program is so far shooting blanks.
00:03:49.960We know that the program has cost taxpayers more than $67 million since it was announced more than four years ago, but so far it's resulted in zero guns collected.
00:03:59.960It was back in May of 2020 the Liberals banned 1,500 models of assault-style firearms.
00:04:05.820It began to work on a compensation program that would buy back those newly banned firearms.
00:04:11.240Now, gun owners were given until October of next year to comply with the new law, but many details of the program have yet to be released.
00:04:18.520Heather, including how much gun owners will be paid by the government for these firearms.
00:04:27.600And recently we've also learned that the Liberal government updated numbers is showing that currently the government's plan to confiscate lawfully owned firearms from the legal gun owner community is costing upwards of $75 million thus far.
00:04:42.220We completely feel that the current gun ban buy-back program has zero impact on crime.
00:04:52.040And yet the Liberals continue their efforts to confiscate and take away legally obtained firearms from law-abiding citizens.
00:04:59.940That's a big red flag if I've ever seen one.
00:05:02.120When you even have law enforcement telling you that your efforts to criminalize lawful gun owners are having zero impact on the public safety you claim to be worried about,
00:05:14.300one can't help but wonder what your true motives are.
00:05:18.260In today's video, we're going to be looking at Canada's obsession with disarming its own population,
00:05:23.900from confiscation efforts to the so-called buyback program.
00:05:28.600You're not going to want to miss this.
00:05:41.780Today, the government is adding a further 324 unique makes and models of assault-style firearms to the list of prohibited firearms in Canada.
00:06:17.380Okay, so clearly they're showing what their intentions are, which is basically to see a disarmed population for whatever dark, self-serving purposes.
00:06:28.100I'll leave it to you guys to drop theories in the comments section below of what you think they're trying to do.
00:06:34.240But if history is any indication, it would seem that Canada is taking a page from Soviet-slash-communist regimes, which understood that a disarmed population is an obedient one.
00:06:47.420Because, let's face it, what other choice do they have?
00:06:51.060Here's the way the communists look at guns.
00:06:53.300All political power comes from the barrel of a gun.
00:06:55.180The Communist Party must command all the guns, that way no guns can ever be used to command the party.
00:07:00.220So they're actually chasing you down for your guns.
00:07:03.420They've got a minister that's going to come to your homes and get your guns.
00:07:08.140And this is the way, I'm going to finish with this.
00:07:10.620A well-regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state and the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.
00:07:18.960And that is the way we're going to run the new Alberta.
00:08:13.760Recently, we've also learned that the Liberal government updated numbers as showing that currently the government's plan to confiscate lawfully owned firearms from the illegal gun owner community is costing upwards of $75 million thus far.
00:08:29.700And yet not a single firearm has been purchased from a lawful owner.
00:08:33.460In fact, no impact has been had, of course, on the criminals and illegal gun trade that's going on.
00:08:40.680Can you comment on what the Toronto Police Service would do with $75 million to combat gun violence?
00:08:50.320So here you have one of the leaders of law enforcement in Canada informing the federal government that their ridiculous plan to confiscate the firearms from law-abiding citizens is doing nothing to stop the real criminals in the streets of Toronto, which have seen a sharp increase in violent crime recently.
00:09:15.100This so-called buyback program isn't only ridiculous, but it's also ineffective because the real criminals would never hand their guns to the government, at least not voluntarily.
00:09:27.040Makes you wonder what the real plan is if it really isn't for the sake of public safety.
00:09:33.480The fact that they're so determined to take people's ability to defend themselves.
00:09:37.700The good news is that those concrete steps that we spoke about in terms of buying back, retrieving and destroying, disposing of those military-style assault weapons that have no place on the streets of Canada, that will begin in the next month or month and a half.
00:09:58.300We'll have more information, those concrete details that I know you're looking forward to in the coming weeks, but we're very much on track to fulfill that obligation.
00:10:08.140Hey, if you've made it this far, thank you so much for watching.
