Transcript

00:00:00.000 The RCMP have lost more than 200 guns in the last four years.
00:00:06.680 The questions still remain on where have those guns gone and whether Mounties will be held responsible.
00:00:13.360 CDV's Kamal Karamali joins us now.
00:00:15.260 And Kamal, what do we know about these lost guns?
00:00:18.160 Hi, Heather. Yeah, so the exact number is 205 guns lost or missing by the RCMP since 2020.
00:00:26.380 So let's break those numbers down.
00:00:29.180 That includes 122 handguns, more than 50 shotguns, more than 20 rifles, three submachine guns and two machine guns reported loss from RCMP detachments across the country in the last four years.
00:00:42.960 Nearly half of those guns were lost in 2021 when 99 firearms were reported missing that year.
00:00:51.780 Fire in charge of the RCMP, I certainly would launch a criminal investigation on every single one of those missing firearms.
00:00:59.180 The RCMP saying very little in response, Heather, saying it can only determine specifically if a firearm was lost by a service member.
00:01:08.420 Rather, it cannot determine specifically if a firearm was lost by a service member.
00:01:12.540 Also not known if the firearms were ever recovered.
00:01:15.640 I'm going to gun control groups urging you to act swiftly on election promises on firearms.
00:01:21.620 Meantime, Alberta Premier Danielle Smith went on the record at one of her recent Alberta Next town halls.
00:01:27.020 I'm sure you've been briefed on it, saying that all levels of government and police within the province, including RCMP, have been instructed not to participate in any gun confiscation.
00:01:37.320 What do you intend to do on the firearms file specifically?
00:01:39.980 And what do you make of Premier Smith's position?
00:01:41.620 I'm not going to the exact quote.
00:01:43.880 Maybe I'll leave the quote aside, but I'll pick up one word there.
00:01:46.780 Confiscation.
00:01:47.380 This is not about confiscation.
00:01:48.680 This is about voluntary return of firearms for compensation, for compensation of these firearms.
00:01:58.980 And we'll run a process.
00:01:59.880 Look, we'll have different processes in different provinces.
00:02:03.240 What it is, is an opportunity for Canadians to return guns for compensation.
00:02:09.240 I'm starting to think that the old cliche saying that goes something like, how do you know when a politician is lying?
00:02:16.380 The answer being whenever their lips are moving was based on Mark Carney specifically.
00:02:22.580 I don't think this guy is physically capable of telling the truth.
00:02:26.840 Honestly, here's what I mean.
00:02:29.440 And I can't believe I'm about to say this, but it's true.
00:02:32.140 The guy who was in before him, Justin Trudeau, lied very often.
00:02:38.040 But every now and then, because of his stupidity and out-of-control narcissism, he would unwillingly tell the truth.
00:02:46.120 Or the truth would just kind of come out.
00:02:48.820 That ain't the case with Carney.
00:02:50.760 This guy is as methodical and calculated as a literal snake.
00:02:54.520 How could the gun buy-back program not be considered a confiscation program when it is mandatory that you sell your guns to the government at whatever price they determine, whether you want to sell them or not?
00:03:08.480 Explain that to me.
00:03:09.540 How is it that the government of Alberta had to put in place an order to its police telling them not to implement any sort of confiscation order from the federal government if the program is supposed to be voluntary?
00:03:21.920 It's pretty obvious that he's lying to Canadians, but that's just par for the course with liberal politicians.
00:03:31.200 And Kamal, a bit of a different story here, but also gun-related and making headlines.
00:03:35.660 The federal government's gun buy-back program is so far shooting blanks.
00:03:40.540 That's right.
00:03:41.080 So Ottawa has so far spent tens of millions of dollars on the firearm buy-back program with no results so far.
00:03:48.680 Let's take a look at what's happened.
00:03:49.960 We know that the program has cost taxpayers more than $67 million since it was announced more than four years ago, but so far it's resulted in zero guns collected.
00:03:59.960 It was back in May of 2020 the Liberals banned 1,500 models of assault-style firearms.
00:04:05.820 It began to work on a compensation program that would buy back those newly banned firearms.
00:04:11.240 Now, gun owners were given until October of next year to comply with the new law, but many details of the program have yet to be released.
00:04:18.520 Heather, including how much gun owners will be paid by the government for these firearms.
00:04:26.740 Back over to you.
00:04:27.600 And recently we've also learned that the Liberal government updated numbers is showing that currently the government's plan to confiscate lawfully owned firearms from the legal gun owner community is costing upwards of $75 million thus far.
00:04:42.220 We completely feel that the current gun ban buy-back program has zero impact on crime.
00:04:48.760 Zero impact on crime.
00:04:52.040 And yet the Liberals continue their efforts to confiscate and take away legally obtained firearms from law-abiding citizens.
00:04:59.940 That's a big red flag if I've ever seen one.
00:05:02.120 When you even have law enforcement telling you that your efforts to criminalize lawful gun owners are having zero impact on the public safety you claim to be worried about,
00:05:14.300 one can't help but wonder what your true motives are.
00:05:18.260 In today's video, we're going to be looking at Canada's obsession with disarming its own population,
00:05:23.900 from confiscation efforts to the so-called buyback program.
00:05:28.600 You're not going to want to miss this.
00:05:30.720 Let's get into it.
00:05:31.680 Very quickly though, if you enjoy these videos, please do me a solid and subscribe.
00:05:36.440 It's free and you can always unsubscribe later if you change your mind.
00:05:40.080 Thank you and back to the video.
00:05:41.780 Today, the government is adding a further 324 unique makes and models of assault-style firearms to the list of prohibited firearms in Canada.
00:05:58.160 This prohibition takes effect immediately.
00:06:02.340 Whoa, what happened there?
00:06:04.780 I thought it was supposed to be a voluntary purchase of something the government never owned to begin with?
00:06:12.540 Don't tell me you guys lied.
00:06:14.880 Oh boy, am I ever shocked.
00:06:17.380 Okay, so clearly they're showing what their intentions are, which is basically to see a disarmed population for whatever dark, self-serving purposes.
00:06:28.100 I'll leave it to you guys to drop theories in the comments section below of what you think they're trying to do.
00:06:34.240 But if history is any indication, it would seem that Canada is taking a page from Soviet-slash-communist regimes, which understood that a disarmed population is an obedient one.
00:06:47.420 Because, let's face it, what other choice do they have?
00:06:51.060 Here's the way the communists look at guns.
00:06:53.300 All political power comes from the barrel of a gun.
00:06:55.180 The Communist Party must command all the guns, that way no guns can ever be used to command the party.
00:07:00.220 So they're actually chasing you down for your guns.
00:07:03.420 They've got a minister that's going to come to your homes and get your guns.
00:07:08.140 And this is the way, I'm going to finish with this.
00:07:10.620 A well-regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state and the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.
00:07:18.960 And that is the way we're going to run the new Alberta.
00:07:21.640 Now, let's be honest.
00:07:23.320 This push to take guns didn't just fall out of the sky.
00:07:26.900 It ramped up under Justin Trudeau.
00:07:29.120 And frankly, no one's surprised.
00:07:31.640 A socialist government trying to disarm citizens?
00:07:34.860 What a plot twist, huh?
00:07:36.500 Sure, Canada's always had difficult gun laws.
00:07:39.020 But it wasn't until Trudeau that the government started banning and grabbing legally owned property like it was candy.
00:07:46.360 And if you know even a shred of history, you know how this ends.
00:07:50.060 Venezuela, Cuba, Communist China.
00:07:54.220 Same script, same outcome.
00:07:57.040 You have disarmed citizens, the government calling the shots, and criminals running free.
00:08:02.880 Canada really looks like it's auditioning for a role in a Soviet-era movie.
00:08:07.280 But Albertans can see right through it, and I'm really happy to see that.
00:08:12.320 Thank you, Mr. Campbell.
00:08:13.760 Recently, we've also learned that the Liberal government updated numbers as showing that currently the government's plan to confiscate lawfully owned firearms from the illegal gun owner community is costing upwards of $75 million thus far.
00:08:29.700 And yet not a single firearm has been purchased from a lawful owner.
00:08:33.460 In fact, no impact has been had, of course, on the criminals and illegal gun trade that's going on.
00:08:40.680 Can you comment on what the Toronto Police Service would do with $75 million to combat gun violence?
00:08:48.420 $75 million would go a long way.
00:08:50.320 So here you have one of the leaders of law enforcement in Canada informing the federal government that their ridiculous plan to confiscate the firearms from law-abiding citizens is doing nothing to stop the real criminals in the streets of Toronto, which have seen a sharp increase in violent crime recently.
00:09:15.100 This so-called buyback program isn't only ridiculous, but it's also ineffective because the real criminals would never hand their guns to the government, at least not voluntarily.
00:09:27.040 Makes you wonder what the real plan is if it really isn't for the sake of public safety.
00:09:33.480 The fact that they're so determined to take people's ability to defend themselves.
00:09:37.700 The good news is that those concrete steps that we spoke about in terms of buying back, retrieving and destroying, disposing of those military-style assault weapons that have no place on the streets of Canada, that will begin in the next month or month and a half.
00:09:58.300 We'll have more information, those concrete details that I know you're looking forward to in the coming weeks, but we're very much on track to fulfill that obligation.
00:10:08.140 Hey, if you've made it this far, thank you so much for watching.
