00:00:00.000 Let me ask you a question. So we talked about the fourth political theory, what's next? So
00:00:05.200 liberalism's old, communism's dead, fascism's really dead. So what's next? In your dealings
00:00:12.780 with the Silicon Valley types, what do they want? Because this is something that we've
00:00:21.400 talked about. It was a number of months ago on this podcast, but we've talked about this.
00:00:26.100 There's this notion of accelerationism, which is different than like Leninist accelerationism,
00:00:33.380 you know, the worse, the better, let the capitalist contradictions work themselves out or something.
00:00:39.060 Accelerationism in a Nick Land style of thinking is accelerating towards a cyberpunk future,
00:00:48.220 accelerating towards the combination of humanity and technology or biology and technology.
00:00:54.060 And we need to just tear down the guardrails for that. The liberals are going to try to stop you. 0.99
00:01:01.080 The trad conservatives are going to try to stop you. The regulatory bodies are going to try to stop
00:01:06.600 you. But we just need to go full steam ahead. We don't know where this train is headed, but
00:01:11.460 it's headed somewhere. Let's find out. And you can see some of this thinking. You see a lot of this
00:01:18.360 thinking actually in AI advocates. You can see a lot of this thinking in AI doomers who warned that this
00:01:24.340 train is headed off a cliff. It's going to kill humanity, et cetera. You can even see this sort of in
00:01:30.700 something as a seeming failure like Doge, where it's take a chainsaw to regulations, like full steam ahead.
00:01:39.060 Don't even think about cracking down an AI kind of thing. But is that the kind of like secret
00:01:47.580 in the heart of hearts of Peter Thiel? I mean, I'm not expecting you to have gone to a Peter Thiel
00:01:53.400 party and swilled whiskey and he told you. It's good you never went to one of those because you
00:01:58.260 might have been thrown off a roof. That was a joke. What does he want?
00:02:02.040 I mean, I think like if you want to go back to acceleration and you want to go back to Nick
00:02:07.780 Land. Sure. And then you have to talk about the creative forces behind accelerationism, the
00:02:16.800 visionary technologists who are building a future by merging art and technology together.
00:02:23.480 That was how the CCRU at Warwick started with Nick Land and his colleagues. They were these
00:02:33.320 dissident academic types who formed their own lab. And the theory of acceleration is not the same as
00:02:42.880 transhumanism. I think that people, they conflate the two. Accelerationism is just capitalism taken to
00:02:50.160 its logical extent. You're just moving things forward as fast as you can. And Sigma comes out
00:02:58.720 the other end. Where transhumanism is, according to Thiel's sphere, it's just about life extension and
00:03:05.760 paying a bunch of money to live forever by freezing your brain so you can live a million years. Not the
00:03:13.980 same thing as acceleration. Yeah, so I'm not going to gossip about the Thiel sphere and name a bunch of
00:03:19.860 characters and be like, oh, this person doesn't battle it. Okay, so I'm going to give a shit about 0.99
00:03:23.940 any of that. But I can tell you how it works on a topological level. It's not really that much 0.99
00:03:29.940 different from how an intelligence agency works. Data is extracted and the things that do well are
00:03:39.380 replicated through new copies of people who are more manageable assets. The
00:03:48.740 manageable assets are replicated into new hires who join the sector and march on through mimesis,
00:04:05.940 which is a Travardian concept of ideas being propagated. The manageable assets become dumber 0.92
00:04:15.380 and dumber, leaning all the way down to, well, red scare groupies and their fans. We're talking about 0.98
00:04:23.860 fans of red scare groupies. Okay, so these are like the manageable assets, the lowest pinnacle of
00:04:30.180 intelligence, right? It all does stream upward, but we're not talking about some conspiracy of
00:04:37.460 people in the room. We're just talking about asset management. We're talking about basic
00:04:44.020 bitch asset management. And the curators and the producers of the original scenes, 0.95
00:04:52.340 they often will get the worded out by more manageable assets that are better at brokerage.
00:05:02.500 That's the teal network, like any other network. There's nothing really mysterious about it. It
00:05:09.620 isn't as exciting as people think. I don't understand why people are so like, are they new?
00:05:15.380 Where were they born yesterday? I'm not trying to be an asshole, but it's just not as exciting as people 0.97
00:05:21.780 think it is. Do you think they did that to what was the alt-right in effect? And the red scare girls 0.94
00:05:31.300 are a part of that. BAP is a part of that. Although from what, I mean, look, I'm just reading the tea
00:05:38.740 leaves here, but it almost seems like BAP is getting marginalized, to me at least.
00:05:46.820 Yeah.
00:05:47.220 But like Jonathan Kepperman or whoever these people, it's creating a simulation of what the alt-right would be,
00:05:58.100 but putting in figures who sort of resemble other figures in some kind of funny way and
00:06:06.340 making it, I don't even know. It's not even more palatable necessarily. Making it more useful in the
00:06:14.740 sense that you can manage an asset to push in one direction or not. I mean, the fact that all of these
00:06:22.340 people pushed in the direction of Vance is something that I still am just amazed by.
00:06:27.860 Yeah. You have to hand it to them for strategic acumen, but nothing that they did was actually
00:06:34.900 new or innovative. When you have people like BAP or the Red Scare Girls, and I'm not going to say that
00:06:45.860 they're on Peter Thiel's payroll because I do not have evidence to confirm that. But when you have
00:06:53.620 them gatekeeping out new talent and you have them thwarting out the original creators because
00:07:04.900 they're too volatile or honest and they become the center of everything and all these news articles,
00:07:16.820 they come out featuring their names and everything gets funneled through them. You're going to have
00:07:23.460 people that are very angry and that react to the gatekeeping and a million gripers bloom. But I don't think
00:07:32.340 this is unique to this period of time. I think this is a pattern that occurs throughout history. It's a Spenglarian cycle. 0.89
00:07:44.820 And I don't believe that anything that happened during this era was unique on a historical timeline.
00:07:52.420 I think that they were just players in a game and that you should view it anthropologically rather than getting
00:08:04.100 too sucked into it.
