Summary

00:02:20.000 But in my tentative reading of Disney's The Little Mermaid

00:02:36.000 You know, the immortal soul is this driving aspect of the plot
00:02:40.000 And it actually is a story about intermarriage
00:02:47.000 And the, I haven't seen the new one yet, of course, no one has
00:02:52.000 But the black Ariel was no doubt a conscious choice
00:02:58.000 And it was, and there was also no doubt a kind of element of political correctness

00:03:07.000 Where some executive signed off on a creative's decision
00:03:12.000 That, okay, Ariel's going to be black
00:03:14.000 And let's find a black singer to do this
