In this episode, I talk about the role of heroes in our culture, and why they are so important. I discuss the role that heroes play in our society, and how they have a role in shaping our ideas of God and what he really is. I also talk about why we are attracted to heroes, and what makes them so compelling.

00:00:00.000 But the serotonin system governs both love and psychedelic experience and status at the same time.
00:00:11.040 And I can tell from personal experience, too, if you really hit the system hard, you might experience yourself as the son of God and be perfectly loving, be perfectly powerful at the same time.
00:00:22.580 So there's this hardwired system that's innate, that makes us love heroes. It makes us love you sociality. You sociality, the hero we are attracted to and want to raise up whoever is truly of service to the good.
00:00:47.000 So servant leadership is Darwinianly built in that we don't want to watch any kind of story where there's not a really, really good guy who's fighting hard battles for everybody.
00:01:05.420 Who else should we want to shower status upon than this kind of social individual?
00:01:12.820 And also, maybe this trigger, which we want to see play out in movies all the time, is the innate virality of the gospel message.
00:01:25.600 It triumphed because it just hits us so hard.
00:01:31.940 This drama where it looks like he's lost it all at the end, but lo and behold, deus ex max, now he's alive again. Wow, that really took our limbic system for a wild ride. Maybe I can go be that hero as well. No, I think servant leadership is true.
00:01:52.720 these christians in opposition to aryan leadership and i i i don't doubt that because 0.66
00:01:59.940 what we're dealing with here are sort of two separate things and there is the european
00:02:06.320 tradition of christianity that has been around well we could date it in some way but it may be
00:02:15.700 1,500 at the most, 1,000 in many cases. It's been around a long time. The European history of
00:02:22.860 Christianity, where we have added these components to things, and we might very well have imagined
00:02:29.660 Jesus as heroic and so on. And then the actual Bible itself, where it's very clear that Jesus
00:02:40.540 is not just hostile towards the Pharisees, but he represents something fundamentally different
00:02:46.800 than the Roman. That Jacob and Esau, even though they're twin brothers, they seem to be 0.91
00:02:55.160 brothers of another mother. They're not the same type of figure. There is the outdoorsman,
00:03:01.820 powerful Esau, and the trickster Jacob. It's Jacob, and these might have racial archetypal 0.65
00:03:08.700 components to them in the sense and that's actually explicitly declared in the bible that
00:03:14.100 esau is edom edom is rome that yeah there are people who say that to this day that edom needs
00:03:21.800 to be destroyed and everything but yeah i know but that's in your holy book what i'm saying is that
00:03:26.940 the hero these righteous heroes even if they're very compelling in many ways i'll grant you that
00:03:33.240 You know, I think Mercury is compelling. Certainly, Jacob is a compelling. Joseph is a fascinating figure. They're very compelling. Moses, etc. But they're in opposition in so many cases to Aryan.
00:03:46.600 They're, you know, Moses is in opposition to what in effect is a Caucasian or Aryan pharaoh. And so you're rooting for the other team. Now, on some level, there's this history of European Christianity where we've sort of reinterpreted these things and assimilated them and mixed them up a little bit. 0.99
00:04:13.180 But on some level, particularly when we live at this kind of end of history type situation, we're almost coming back to origins. We're almost better understanding what these things are really about at the end of the day.
00:04:29.240 We have the ability to use the internet to engage in research, the ability to communicate. We can actually know something in a way that our ancestors didn't know something 500 or 1,000 years ago.
00:04:43.180 and this is what it's really about. Esau is Arian. Jacob is Jewish. It is a story about
00:04:52.200 overthrowing, stealing the birthright of Arian, of Edom, of Rome, which Christianity accomplished. 0.99
00:05:00.440 This is what these stories are really about. Now, it doesn't mean that I don't value them on some 0.91
00:05:06.820 level or find them fascinating and so on, and I understand the way in which Europeans have
00:05:12.420 assimilated Christianity into our way of thinking for so long. But we know more now than we did
00:05:21.960 500, 1,000 years ago. We can uncover the true essence of this, the true Jewish essence
00:05:32.420 of the Bible and Christianity, and really look at it straight on. And we can start to determine
00:05:41.220 other things for ourselves, is this what is the best for us? Is Jesus the only God of truth and
00:05:48.720 light out there? The answer is absolutely not. Apollo is also a God of truth and light. He's a
00:05:58.560 polymath. He's a warrior. He's a musician. He is a healer. He is certainly an archer.
