00:00:00.000 I'm sure Benjamin Netanyahu has a lot of Aryan DNA, and I'm almost positive that he has a lot of Semitic DNA that, if you look on a 23andMe chart, would place him in that area. 0.89
00:00:16.260 Or is it Israel for Mizrahi Jews only?
00:00:18.920 Yeah, you could make that argument according to Tucker's logic, which is the only Jews who have a right are the ones that have just been there forever, and they're the ones that are actually, like, indistinguishable from Palestinians and Arabs. 1.00
00:00:34.260 But it's basically the Ashkenazi Jews and the Sephardic Jews that are the straw that stirs the drink. 1.00
00:00:41.300 They've got some Aryan DNA. 1.00
00:00:43.220 A lot of them seem to have, like, 100% Aryan DNA. 0.78
00:00:46.880 They have blonde hair and blue eyes.
00:00:48.260 You can find plenty of Jews like that.
00:00:50.480 At the very least, they look very white, and they sort of are white. 0.58
00:00:54.440 And they want to do stuff like Zionism, which is many things, but in the original or a basic conception by Herzl is, like, part of the nationalist wave of the 19th century leading into the 20th century.
00:01:13.920 Every population should have a homeland.
00:01:16.920 We Jews, I wish we could assimilate, but we just can't.
00:01:22.480 And it's become embarrassing.
00:01:24.480 We've become a joke.
00:01:25.780 We're ghettoized.
00:01:27.100 We hate our neighbors.
00:01:28.540 We're weird, etc.
00:01:30.700 So we need our own homeland where we can ironically become more Aryan. 0.99
00:01:36.160 Like, we're not going to be bankers or playwrights like Herzl.
00:01:40.880 We're going to be farmers.
00:01:42.680 We're going to be badass.
00:01:43.840 This is the kind of contradictory impulse within Zionism.
00:01:50.700 And it is admirable in many ways.
00:01:54.860 It's understandable at the very least.
00:01:57.440 I mean, I think I mentioned this, this Carl Schorsky, I believe.
00:02:01.900 Yeah.
00:02:02.400 I haven't read this book in a while.
00:02:03.580 I should revisit it.
00:02:04.340 But he has a book on fantasy Echel Vienna.
00:02:08.280 And, yeah.
00:02:09.480 And it's, he has a number of different chapters.
00:02:11.660 It's kind of an elliptical book.
00:02:13.260 And he talked about this diary entry from Herzl that he listened to, I forgot which one, which opera it was.
00:02:23.440 It might have been, like, I think he might have listened to Tannheuser.
00:02:27.320 Yeah, it was Tannheuser by Wagner.
00:02:29.260 And he had an image of this march of Jews through Vienna.
00:02:34.900 And they would go to Stefan's Dome.
00:02:37.220 And they would all do a mass conversion to Catholicism.
00:02:41.420 And it would just basically be, like, we give up.
00:02:45.500 Like, we're no longer Jews.
00:02:47.980 We are fully assimilated here.
00:02:50.860 We're just giving over an identity to embrace this Christian, Catholic, Germanic, European identity.
00:02:59.200 And that was one, again, this is an unpublished thing.
00:03:03.760 But it's a kind of fantasy of Jews of just total assimilation that even Herzl would flirt with. 0.97
00:03:12.920 And he obviously, you know, in his explicit work went in a totally different direction, the opposite direction.
00:03:20.240 But you can almost, like, see that of, you know, like an internet atheist who writes in his journal, like, I just want to, ah, this is too hard.
00:03:29.440 I just want to give it up and just be like, Christ, take me.
00:03:33.820 I get it.
00:03:34.640 It's very human.
00:03:35.960 Anyway, these are the contradictory emotional and intellectual currents at the heart of Zionism. 0.61
00:03:44.500 It is an idealistic project.
