REAL AF with Andy Frisella - 113. #75HARD vs Lexi Tejcek

00:00:00.000 what is up guys you're listening to uh the show for the realist i can't remember our intro so i'm 0.62

00:00:21.000 just gonna make some shit up how about that now today we have is that good enough we're gonna 0.75

00:00:26.320 roll with that all right let's just fucking roll with that all right we don't get a real intro today 0.91

00:00:30.780 guys um today i do have an awesome show it's going to be a 75 hard focus show for those of you guys who

00:00:37.620 are doing 75 who are curious about 75 hard um or who are in the midst of 75 hard or any phase of the

00:00:47.680 live hard program this is going to be a show of interest um today i have a really cool guest i'm

00:00:53.940 to intro her in just a second but if you guys follow me on my stories you know that uh i i

00:00:59.700 promised you guys i was going to start bringing people in who had completed um various aspects

00:01:04.520 of the live hard program including 75 hard and interview them and just find out what they

00:01:10.960 thought about it and talk about it and get their story and that's what we're going to do today i

00:01:14.940 have my friend uh lexi take check is that right sounds great to check perfect check whatever you

00:01:21.500 want all right whatever i want um thanks for coming in thank you for having me this is

00:01:27.460 unbelievable it's really cool to have you here sorry we had to reschedule the first time yeah

00:01:32.960 totally fine so where are you guys from arkansas yeah we're at i'm from hot springs but i've been

00:01:38.460 living in fayetteville going to school there yeah and you're just getting ready to i so i just

00:01:43.880 graduated with my bachelor's degree and i will be moving to florida where i will start a pt school

00:01:49.140 physical therapy school at the university of florida that's awesome so that's awesome so you guys

00:01:54.780 probably wonder how i uh find people to bring in for the show and lexi made an awesome post she 1.00

00:02:02.820 talked about her journey um and talked about you know the ups and downs and what the program was

00:02:08.360 about and what she learned and that's what what really uh intrigues me guys you know it's not so

00:02:13.540 much just the before and after pictures it's how you explain what you learned and i'm excited to

00:02:19.060 talk to you today uh to basically you know unpack what what you learned and you know so let's just

00:02:25.140 start i mean where where did you come up with the idea that you were going to do this um so the first

00:02:31.720 time i heard about it was back in probably september and i heard about it on social media and i saw it

00:02:36.880 and i said that's crazy yeah i'm never going to do that yeah um and then i came across it again in

00:02:41.500 december and i said okay it's looking a little more intriguing and by that point i had um applied

00:02:50.180 to pt schools and i actually had already gotten into a couple schools at that point and my stepdad

00:02:56.600 actually talked to me and he said there's one thing i need you to do before you go to pt school

00:03:01.420 and he said i need you to get mentally tougher and i said that's not a coincidence that's like a sign

00:03:07.360 this is a sign and so i said all right i'm doing it i think i looked up your podcast listened to

00:03:14.720 the episode was 75 hard and stayed up till probably three or four o'clock in the morning doing all my

00:03:20.100 research writing everything out and i was like all right i need to do it yeah we got to do it and then

00:03:25.380 i started mid-january once i got back to fayetteville for school and so were you active like physically at

00:03:33.100 this like what kind of physical stuff were you doing at the time when you started um so i had

00:03:38.680 gotten pretty out of shape thanks to covet yeah man a lot of people did yeah um but i grew up fairly

00:03:44.160 active um i played actually a year of college basketball my freshman year and after that i um

00:03:51.620 transferred schools and then i just got into a rut where i was working out sometimes and then not

00:03:56.400 working out but it just got to where i was at my heaviest and was not doing hardly anything

00:04:03.380 and you knew it was time to change i needed something in this program it's unlike anything

00:04:10.820 else i've heard you say if you get a lot of slack for it and people think it's too much it's ridiculous

00:04:15.760 i think it's the best program out there because if you actually want to change your life yeah you're

00:04:20.340 actually going to do it yeah and like 30 day stuff is it's too fast it's too fast and it doesn't do

00:04:26.680 anything yeah man i'm gonna ask you about that while you were doing it did you get a lot of pushback

00:04:33.520 from like your friends or your like anybody close to you or social media or anything like that um i

00:04:38.480 really only told my close close friends that i saw on a regular basis that i was doing it and i mean i

00:04:44.160 didn't think my mom knew about it until probably a month or so in um so i really didn't broadcast it

00:04:50.900 by any means i was like i'm just gonna do it i don't want to tell anybody because a lot of times

00:04:56.060 in the past i feel like you start something and you kind of get going and then if you i mean it was

00:05:00.980 kind of hesitancy for me because i was like if i fail yeah he's gonna know but at the same time i was

00:05:05.120 like i need to do this for me not because because you're my mom was going to be like oh you're doing

00:05:09.940 great like i didn't need that i needed it all to come from inside yeah and so i really didn't tell

00:05:15.820 anybody about it um until probably honestly halfway through yeah when you already when you knew no

00:05:21.680 matter what oh yeah i'm fucking finishing oh yeah yeah um and i remember my uh cousin got married and 0.92

00:05:28.560 so i was home a lot for bridal showers and whatnot and there was when i was home and i was waking up at 0.91

00:05:33.660 6 a.m to get my first workout in they were just kind of like what what is she doing yeah i was like

00:05:39.660 i'm i'm just doing i'm doing this right now and then we got to talking about it and i told them

00:05:45.000 and they were like you've been doing that for 35 days and i said yeah i have but yeah at first i

00:05:51.280 didn't really tell anybody but then a few of my friends i remember driving to my second workout at

00:05:56.520 11 o'clock at night and my friend was like i can't believe you're going to work out right now and i was

00:05:59.820 like i have to get it done like yeah what are you talking about so um i didn't get a whole lot of

00:06:05.740 pushback from it really because i just didn't really tell anybody yeah and then by the end of

00:06:11.420 it everyone was just kind of like that's crazy yeah i was like i don't care what you say it's

00:06:16.640 getting done yeah so yeah and dude that's a that's a necessity of the program you know the people

00:06:22.120 it forces you to realize how

00:06:26.300 flexible you are on things that shouldn't be negotiable you know what i mean oh yeah that's one

00:06:34.000 of the things about the program and usually something that people learn pretty quick they 0.96

00:06:38.140 see it in themselves in the first two or three weeks you know they're like holy shit just like

00:06:43.620 you said um where you know i can relate to that a lot where you know you you get to a point where 0.81

00:06:49.740 you're not you're so far not in control of your ability to finish things that you just don't even

00:06:55.980 want to tell anybody anymore because you've said 400 000 times i'm this is the time i'm doing it

00:07:02.400 i swear i'm doing it this time this is the time everything's changed i'm serious this time yeah

00:07:07.280 you know and that i could totally relate to to not not telling people for that reason because uh

00:07:13.580 i think we all get there i think we all find ourselves there at some point in our lives where

00:07:19.560 we feel like we're not in control we're not in uh and over basic shit too like like you start to 0.99

00:07:25.980 notice how easy it is um to just not put shit in your mouth that shouldn't be there you know what i mean 0.99

00:07:31.820 or uh how easy it is to actually just get up and go do the workout like it's way easier than having 0.99

00:07:37.660 to live with that like internal shame of knowing that you're weak you know and that's something that

00:07:44.940 you know i see a lot of people criticize the program they look at it from the outside they

00:07:50.260 haven't done any research into it they think it's an actual program that tells you how to eat and how to

00:07:55.580 work out which it doesn't um and so you know they they throw rocks at it but they don't understand

00:08:02.560 what's actually happening what's actually happening is is we're training out of you um your ability to

00:08:08.280 compromise situations that shouldn't be you know so we're the first couple weeks i know the first

00:08:14.420 time i did it dude i was sore yeah how was that um it was good i i like i said i played college

00:08:22.520 athletics and so i had done the two workouts a day and sometimes three and was used to that but

00:08:28.460 not every single day yeah yeah we may have had two or three workouts a day but we at least had one day

00:08:33.860 off yeah and so to do that every single day yeah i was sore and then i think a weekend i had gotten

00:08:39.780 about seven blisters on my feet yeah um and i was like what have i gotten myself into it's at that

00:08:47.820 point it was it's interesting i read your book um and the how you have the days marked out as

00:08:54.700 did you find that pretty accurate yes yeah there was i mean a few things here and there that were

00:08:59.180 different it's a little different on an individual basis but i mean i i'm always curious to find people

00:09:04.300 who i know actually did the program if they found that in line yes that's basically how it was for me i

00:09:10.080 took very detailed notes the first time through and that's how we came up with those brackets of time

00:09:15.580 yeah so yeah so that first week um because i was used to college athletics i was like okay i'm sore

00:09:24.040 i'm gonna be sore and was used to that but then yeah just doing it every single day and having to

00:09:30.000 keep going because a lot of days i'd be like well for for example the blisters normally i would have

00:09:35.460 been like okay just one workout we're just gonna do upper body keep impact but nope i taped them up

00:09:41.560 i went on my outdoor workout got my walk-in and what happened to blisters they went away that's

00:09:46.560 right yep just like it's um accredited to you i found i found out about uh iron cowboy james lawrence

00:09:54.420 and that man yeah is incredible he sure is um it's just like what he says you just make that decision

00:10:01.960 to take one step and one step will turn into two and two will eventually turn into 26.2 miles yeah

00:10:08.160 and another thing i took from him when i got those seven blisters i said you know what the man

00:10:13.140 lost feeling in his fingers and his toes but knew that his body would adapt yeah so i said okay i have

00:10:20.400 seven blisters now yeah they're gonna go away eventually yeah right now i just gotta deal with

00:10:24.100 it but um yeah that first week was excitement but yeah by the end of it you're like oh god yeah a lot

00:10:32.160 more to go but yeah yeah but you just uh the biggest thing for me was focusing on just today

00:10:38.040 yeah i could not think about tomorrow even yeah or the next workout yeah you just have to think about

00:10:44.540 what's in front of you and so that was hard at times i mean like getting halfway through you're kind

00:10:49.900 of like i'm halfway done i still have halfway to go but i was like you can't do it so let's talk about

00:10:55.960 that mental toughness for a second because we talked a lot about the physical of it so far

00:10:59.760 i mean the physical of it's hard that's it okay it doesn't matter but it's scalable like yes you

00:11:05.760 know if you're if you're 400 or 500 pounds there's things that you can do to work this 0.98

00:11:11.580 program so let's we all know okay it's hard as fuck to have to work out and do all this shit 0.95

00:11:20.080 let's talk about some of the things that the program is designed to do which is you know help 0.99

00:11:26.140 develop your grit help sharpen your mental toughness uh your fortitude your self-control

00:11:32.120 your self-esteem your self-worth uh your confidence let's talk about that for a minute you know what

00:11:38.580 did you notice mentally going through the program um because like at first you said like dude we're

00:11:45.960 all excited right the first week and we get through that for i think for a lot of people you know we've

00:11:50.880 had hundreds of thousands of people go through the program now a lot of people will say that first

00:11:55.860 week that on day seven or eight where they've gone a whole week with because that's a big day for them

00:12:01.440 and i get that because i had i don't think i've i had gone a full week without cheating on my diet

00:12:06.260 before this program so it was a huge deal for me to get to that day seven or eight i remember that

00:12:13.140 very clearly where i was like fuck dude this is a huge milestone for me yeah but then after that yeah it 0.91

00:12:18.920 was like what you said where i'm like holy shit like i barely started yeah so let's talk about that 0.93

00:12:25.540 i mean what what were some of the changes that you noticed you know in your confidence as you

00:12:32.100 progress through the program well to start um i have to bring in all the physical aspects of it for

00:12:39.560 sure because um it's a huge part but for me at first workout specifically it was like okay this is

00:12:47.400 what i think i'm gonna do and maybe i can do it maybe i'm not we'll just try and get it done

00:12:53.700 um but then as it progressed it was like all right i this was my previous mile time all right we're

00:12:59.480 beating it today yeah or um we did i did a circuit this fast i want to do it faster yeah you're

00:13:06.980 training with a tent now yeah oh yeah at first it was just get it done it was it was get it done with

00:13:12.760 but still with intention but then it turned into a competition and really like wanting to see

00:13:20.580 improvements yeah um but then yeah mentally for sure i actually um did the david goggins 4x4x48

00:13:28.380 around day 50 yeah and so you threw that right in the middle yep yeah that's cool it was it was

00:13:34.340 awesome a lot of people have done that that was really cool it was yeah horrible yeah um it's funny

00:13:39.720 though because the that those 48 hours really mimic the program itself yeah like you start i

00:13:45.100 remember when i was going to run those first four miles i was pumped i was like let's do this

00:13:49.300 and then after that first four i was like what have i done which they weren't even that bad but just

00:13:54.520 i think i had to do it that much more and then yeah you get through it and that was that's a whole

00:14:00.940 other story but um but i remember doing it and i was like yeah i'm gonna get it done i don't care if

00:14:06.420 i'm crawling those four miles yeah and a friend of mine was like i'm not gonna lie i didn't think

00:14:10.400 you were gonna make it and i was like what are you talking about yeah and that's something i noticed

00:14:16.040 was the and it just the program proves that the only person you can count on is yourself and anything

00:14:22.040 you do yeah and so mentally at that point that for me when my friend told me that i was like okay

00:14:27.520 i've seen a shift now where i was said i was going to do something yeah and you're not questioning it

00:14:33.040 right i was like i don't it didn't matter how i felt right um i had like a knee injury at the time

00:14:38.900 um and then that just lack of sleep and all of that just played in but yeah it was it was gonna get

00:14:45.940 done that's pretty cool dude because that's like your your friend sort of making an assumption based

00:14:51.740 off who you were previously to that point and that much difference had happened in that short a time

00:14:56.780 yeah 50 days you know what i mean because i could tell you this um you know i talked to a lot of

00:15:02.400 people about this program and you know this because i know you've actually done it you know 0.94

00:15:06.640 there's people that coast through that don't really you could just tell that they didn't fucking do it 0.73

00:15:11.240 um but one of the things i always hear is people are super surprised at how fast they make the switch 0.86

00:15:19.380 from not being able to control literally anything including a beer or a cheap food or french fries or

00:15:27.240 anything to that having zero impact on whether or not it affects them right and and dude when you

00:15:34.980 think about that and you think about all the decisions that we as humans um make in in in times

00:15:44.980 of like weakness right for the instant gratification and we think about all these decisions that we we

00:15:50.880 make and how it negatively affects the big picture of our life to have the control that someone has in

00:15:59.460 just 50 days or 75 days to be able to look at a plate of food and say no i'm not doing that it's not

00:16:06.780 for me or to have be faced with an 11 p.m workout and say dude it's getting done yeah like that's an

00:16:13.020 extremely massive amount of progress to be made in a very short time especially when you think about

00:16:21.540 what it's going to be like after the program that now you know that you're in control of that there's

00:16:28.620 no more of the lexi who was um you know unsure that she was going to be able to finish something

00:16:36.520 you know for me i know that's been the biggest takeaway of living this lifestyle for me is knowing

00:16:43.560 like there is no like my confidence at this point in time it's it's immune from outside influences 0.50

00:16:53.980 you know what i mean like you can't fucking dent it and i don't care who you are you know what i mean 0.98

00:16:58.800 and how did you like how has it been since you finished the program so i so i have decided to go 0.88

00:17:08.180 on and do live hard yeah and i finished phase one and i can now start phase two but i think i'm gonna

00:17:12.980 wait until i move yeah anyway um i wasn't sure if i was going to do it yeah until day 76 um i felt i

00:17:23.000 obviously felt great from date from 75 hard and had seen all these benefits but then it wasn't

00:17:28.680 until the next day when i let like i mean i let myself have a cheat meal that day i didn't do

00:17:33.940 there's nothing wrong with that right yeah and so i did that and i just remember thinking

00:17:37.540 why yeah you and it right then and there i said i'm doing live hard it's getting done let me ask

00:17:45.960 you a question did it scare you a little bit a little bit yeah me too because i had gotten

00:17:52.140 not to make excuses but i had gotten sick and was dealing with a knee injury so i said i'm gonna give

00:17:58.320 myself a couple days if i'm feeling better i'll continue resting if not forget it yeah why why

00:18:04.980 waste my time but those next couple days i just remember thinking this is what i've let myself do 0.96

00:18:12.460 yeah and you get a real big slap in the face of reality you're like holy shit i used to live like 0.81

00:18:19.520 this every day you know it was yeah it was scary yeah it was and that scared me to the point where

00:18:27.280 like because the first time i did it i did have a day between my phase one and it was the same reason 0.92

00:18:32.100 that you did i was i was fucking my feet were fucked yeah like i couldn't do anything with them but that 1.00

00:18:38.420 next day i ate a meal and i remember thinking like dude it would be this quick for me to go back 0.97

00:18:45.460 exactly and i'm not fucking going back and that decision that was made on day 76 for me 0.97

00:18:51.240 was that i'm never ever ever fucking going back yeah ever i'm never going back to that life and uh 0.97

00:18:57.520 i think that meal that you know that one day off that i hear that a lot like a lot of people will 0.95

00:19:02.620 take one day and they're like oh fuck that i'm getting right back in yeah i i ended up taking about 0.89

00:19:07.000 a week yeah but that just that week too um yeah i was just laying around honestly a lot just trying to 0.90

00:19:14.540 feel better but at the same time i was like i feel awful at the same time and it was exactly

00:19:21.580 what you're saying it was i mean it was a it was a couple days and i was like i feel like i had

00:19:26.340 lost a month's worth of progress in those two days yeah because you're addicted to the progress now

00:19:33.340 yeah and so i was like yeah forget it because i remember the the cold shower for me was what i was

00:19:38.700 like do i want to do phase one yeah but then i said forget it it's yeah and it's um it's like

00:19:43.120 what you've said in the book too you feel the best about yourself when you've done hard things

00:19:47.180 and i said i felt great doing so just and i hadn't like physically changed i hadn't put on the 30

00:19:55.300 pounds that i lost in those two days yeah at the same time i felt like mentally like i had yeah and

00:20:01.840 i felt honestly embarrassed yeah you went right back to that same person that was on day one and 0.96

00:20:07.200 you're like fuck this i don't like this yeah i was i didn't want to walk out of my house i didn't 0.99

00:20:11.320 want to and i was like even though you look no different right like that's crazy yeah it shows 0.99

00:20:16.340 it's a big huge wake-up call for sure and so i said i'd rather feel physically in pain from soreness

00:20:24.400 and be proud of myself every day then maybe not be feel sore but like it's going to take a toll on

00:20:31.920 like my organs and whatnot and i said i'd i'll take the soreness in that pain over the mental pain

00:20:39.780 of not having my life together yeah essentially and so yeah day 76 i said yep i'm doing i'm

00:20:47.160 starting phase one that's awesome and we're getting it done dude i totally relate to that

00:20:50.940 that's exactly how it went for me too i went i remember i stopped my feet were i'm like i'm

00:20:56.480 taking at least a day to let my feet rest and i'll eat and i think i had like i think i had like

00:21:02.860 sushi and some french fries or something which really wasn't that bad considering like how i used

00:21:07.300 to eat before and i was like no i'm going right back in like i'm not risking going back to being

00:21:13.340 that it's almost like how um you know that the alcoholics anonymous like like where people quit 0.95

00:21:22.800 drinking forever that's almost how i feel like i'm just like dude i'm not fucking doing it yeah you 0.94

00:21:27.760 know i'm not going back like it's total abstinence for me now when it comes to like laziness you know 0.90

00:21:33.360 i can't fucking do it and i get a lot of people that reach out now and they're like you know dude 0.90

00:21:38.400 you could get better results if you just rested every yeah that might be true i might look a little 0.99

00:21:42.900 better but you don't see what's going on the inside you don't see how i feel mentally you don't see how

00:21:47.740 what my strengths are what right you know and i think to me that's way more important than what i

00:21:53.600 look like you know so um what books did you read let's see i started with james lawrence

00:22:01.940 his book um then i read david goggins can't hurt me um i read your book 75 hard i read gosh i have a

00:22:12.480 stack of them you think i'd remember well those are some good ones well those are four winners to read

00:22:17.780 during that program yeah yeah they were i mean all phenomenal and i hated reading growing up it was

00:22:24.460 um we had to for school and all that kind of stuff hated it but that was something that i really enjoyed

00:22:31.280 about this program because i was reading books that were helping me and i learned so much um reading those

00:22:39.300 books and that's something regardless of if i'm in a phase or if i'm not that's something i'll continue

00:22:44.580 for sure um but and it and it shows you along with the whole program like i'm i've learned so much

00:22:52.980 since that first day yeah but i also know now that there's so much more for me to learn yeah and i think

00:22:59.880 that's something that mentally i saw throughout the program and that's something that i would catch

00:23:06.580 myself doing beforehand i kind of would put on a front like i knew this i knew that or you don't want to

00:23:11.480 you don't want to seem weak and that you don't know things but now i know that it's right of me

00:23:19.200 to like want to learn and to like express that i need to learn these things and the books were

00:23:23.200 phenomenal dude that's such a huge thing to learn especially at your age like most people don't learn

00:23:29.960 that that ability to humble them i didn't learn that ability to humble myself until i was probably in 0.90

00:23:35.340 in my mid 30s where i i did the same thing where i thought i knew a lot more shit than i did

00:23:40.820 and i was afraid to show that there was stuff that i didn't know because i was looked at as like 1.00

00:23:45.740 the ceo still then you know what i'm saying like i have to know all the shit but the truth is is fuck 0.98

00:23:50.940 nobody knows all the shit and um you know i i think that's a that's an awesome thing to hear you say 0.99

00:23:56.940 especially for where you are in life that a lot of times i get you know interviewed on podcasts or 0.93

00:24:01.920 whatever i get q a and they're asking you know what what do i regret i think that's my one of

00:24:07.200 my only regrets is not learning how to learn earlier you know what i mean and the book thing 0.97

00:24:13.840 um fuck you know everything i fucking know i've learned from books you know i didn't learn any any 0.99

00:24:20.400 of the shit i know about business i didn't learn in school other than how to like make people laugh 1.00

00:24:24.360 and have a good time you know what i'm saying i learned that at school but uh but yeah man that is 0.98

00:24:29.460 awesome what what was your what do you think your biggest takeaway was that's that's a tough

00:24:35.940 question um i i think the biggest thing is just it goes back with just taking one step at a time

00:24:43.960 and not focusing on you like you need to have an end goal but you cannot focus on that every single

00:24:52.020 day right it's it's you have to win the day that's right all you have to do that's right and i think

00:24:57.720 just then having the confidence to take the first step in whatever it is you need to do like there's

00:25:04.080 going to be so like do do hard things do scary things i think and there's a lot of times in my

00:25:09.480 life where i had backed off from things like that and didn't want to do it but now just with the

00:25:15.480 confidence and the fortitude that i have just to be willing to take that first step and whatever it

00:25:22.360 may be yeah that's probably my biggest takeaway is i'm willing to do so much more now that's huge

00:25:28.140 because it's like your life you know i'm saying like so many people don't do things because they're

00:25:34.920 afraid they're going to look stupid or they're afraid they're not going to be any good or people 0.58

00:25:38.940 are going to laugh at them and once you start to have that confidence that you've built which you 0.98

00:25:43.840 have built um that stuff starts to not matter and you start to live in a more free way exactly you

00:25:51.420 know that's a that's a really cool takeaway what would you say to people who say it's too extreme

00:25:57.380 or it's too hard on one hand i'd want to just turn away and say you don't yeah you don't get it

00:26:03.980 you don't you don't need my time like i'm not gonna give you my time to explain that because you're

00:26:09.660 like and that's something i've noticed too is i can't deal with a lot of stuff now yeah excuses

00:26:16.160 yeah i'm like i zero tolerance zero tolerance yeah it's but um to people that say it's too extreme

00:26:23.580 i'd say okay well can you do it for one day yeah i said okay then go to bed and do it for another day

00:26:30.760 yeah and that's it and that's something too a lot of people talk to me i have the well the coolest

00:26:37.060 thing is like friends of mine or family members that have been inspired by me doing this yeah

00:26:43.280 was not a goal by any means but i had a friend tell me that she wanted to do it and she said well i'm

00:26:49.700 not going to be able to do it like like i can't run like you or do this and that i said you don't have

00:26:54.340 to that's not and that's like what you said about it being scalable i find so many people say well does

00:26:58.580 he have certain workouts you're supposed to do does he sell a diet i said no it's a free program

00:27:04.560 and all you have to do is make up your mind to do it yeah and if all you can do is march your legs

00:27:10.880 in place for 45 minutes and do that that's it you got to start somewhere man exactly i mean i started

00:27:15.880 and all of my outdoor workouts were walking and then um i'd incorporate some running when i was

00:27:22.240 actually in the gym but i couldn't run for more than three or four minutes at a time and then by the

00:27:26.820 end of it i was running five six miles that's awesome and so i mean i didn't it's i didn't start

00:27:32.840 yeah at where i'm at now and you're not going to either yeah um so that i'm with you dude like i

00:27:41.260 don't i don't have it anymore like this is part of the reason why i don't do much social anymore

00:27:45.640 it's part of the reason why i don't post anymore i do my shit here i come here and talk and then 0.81

00:27:51.580 if you're going to pay me a whole bunch of money i'll come talk to your people too 0.98

00:27:54.420 but i'm not doing this shit of like hearing your bullshit and let's talk about that for a minute 0.97

00:28:00.740 because for me that was it really helped me weed out some of the weaker uh influences in my life 0.97

00:28:07.140 not that i it's almost weird well that's not almost weird it is it is kind of weird like a lot

00:28:16.120 of the people who i had maintained friendships with over the course of my life and this is going 0.99

00:28:22.780 to sound really fucked up but it's the truth i just realized they're fucking weak people dude 0.99

00:28:27.140 and me spending any time literally entertaining it for any fucking reason was holding me back 1.00

00:28:34.140 you know what i'm saying going to dinner with friends who are going to sit there and bitch about 0.99

00:28:38.160 how hard their life is it's not something i'm going to do anymore at all and i think you know for me and

00:28:44.720 i found this consensus amongst uh the people who have finished this program to be true is that

00:28:50.560 because we're holding ourselves to such a higher standard we automatically see when other people

00:28:56.400 aren't and it's very frustrating especially when you care about other people and you're like bro 0.99

00:29:01.520 you're fucking doing this shit to yourself you know what i mean but i used to want to be the person 0.99

00:29:07.900 who was going to like be there and fix them and do all the shit and now i realize like dude i can't 1.00

00:29:13.180 do that like i have to focus on me just like you didn't tell anybody about the program for the 0.92

00:29:18.820 first 30 days but then you went and inspired your whole family and all your circle to at least make

00:29:24.240 some sort of improvements now maybe they didn't do the whole program maybe they did something else

00:29:29.240 right but maybe they stopped drinking for a while or maybe they stopped uh you know um eating out or

00:29:35.880 they just you know what i'm saying those little changes are what lead to big commitments like this

00:29:40.340 program and and dude you didn't go out and talk about it you just did it you know and that's what we

00:29:46.180 got to talk when you guys who are listening now you know a lot of you guys are entrepreneurial minded

00:29:52.080 uh because that's what the show's about or you're very into conspiracy theories because that's what 1.00

00:29:57.300 our show is about too conspiracy facts um but yeah conspiracy fucking facts motherfuckers you're 0.99

00:30:03.140 gonna have a whole show on that coming up just so you know um keith write that shit down conspiracy 0.99

00:30:07.600 facts all right so i'm coming hard with that by the way i'm getting off track but please do it 0.99

00:30:13.660 your ears are gonna fucking bleed and it's gonna be great it needs to be heard bro it does man it 0.90

00:30:19.240 is insane should we just do it now no we'll keep it on target here uh because i know there's a big 0.99

00:30:26.640 there's a there's a whole lot of you guys that appreciate the personal development but don't

00:30:30.620 necessarily jive with the uh with the politics and that's fine with me too man i'm arguing for your

00:30:36.260 rights to disagree with me that's what you don't understand thank you yeah it needs to be heard 0.99

00:30:39.820 that's it dude like i'm arguing for your right to have the freedom to say what the fuck you say 0.93

00:30:45.060 about me that's it so but anyhow um that's so cool about the inspiration of the people around um 0.96

00:30:55.060 that's something that people soon discover i think once they start getting into the program

00:31:01.540 you start to realize how many other people are doing it and how many how willing those people are to

00:31:06.520 like be your friend or help you or talk to you or cheer you on uh the community of 75 hard is

00:31:13.060 something that i'm really proud of it's it was incredible when you reposted my post i the people

00:31:18.220 that took the time to not only click on my post and then like and then comment yeah was and that

00:31:26.320 seems simple to do but at the same time they still had to take their time to do and it was they care

00:31:30.840 they care and they get it yes because we've all done it together yes it was that was the coolest

00:31:36.540 thing and then i mean i had a page full of dms from just people i i'm never going to meet them

00:31:42.080 probably but just the support and then other people saying that they were in the middle of it

00:31:46.720 and asking for advice like that was that was awesome was there a phase like of days that you

00:31:52.080 found to be the hardest or harder than the other days not necessarily harder but i would say um

00:32:02.280 around two-thirds in yeah around day 50 when i did the dude yeah you're just kind of like

00:32:10.140 you're over it a little bit you know you're gonna do it yeah there's no way you're not but you're

00:32:16.680 still like i still have 25 days to go yeah um so that's where the grind comes that's where you start

00:32:23.480 learning about grit and a lot of people will message me and they're like dude i'm halfway done

00:32:28.980 there's no way there's no way i'm failing now i'm killing it and i'm like bro just wait yeah because 0.98

00:32:34.500 what's going to happen is you're going to get to this point where you're like fuck i get it right 0.97

00:32:39.520 except you don't get it right and that's the part like where you're talking about that's actually 0.85

00:32:44.340 what i was wanting you to get to because i feel like that's a super common answer that the 50s

00:32:49.920 day 50 through 59 are terrible because you're like at that mental point where you're like i know i'm

00:32:56.180 going to finish i'm kicking ass i'm doing good i get it but what you don't get is that that monotonous 0.94

00:33:02.200 grind that you learn from day 50 to 75 is really the most important part because what are you going 0.78

00:33:08.040 to do when you don't feel like this anymore and you don't want it's not exciting anymore and you

00:33:11.980 think you get it you know and think about that in in our lives right like you know uh playing

00:33:19.320 athletics or or you know going to school or having a job dude there's points in time where you just

00:33:25.960 have to grit it the fuck out and society has groomed our our um culture to be a throwaway culture right 0.79

00:33:34.760 like it gets too hard quit um you don't like your job get a new one you don't like how this is going 0.71

00:33:40.800 start over and the point is how it relates to this program is that that's what happens when they

00:33:47.520 get to the day 50 in their lives right like they get there's a day 50 in their in their you know the 0.57

00:33:53.240 the theoretical day 50 right um and they say well fuck this i'm done but dude the the winners the 0.98

00:34:00.520 people who truly win in life and kick ass those are the people who can pass that point and continue 0.98

00:34:06.660 to move when everybody else falls off you know i just talked about this on one of my blogs about

00:34:11.460 you know when everybody else goes and sits on the bench that's when it's your time to keep moving

00:34:15.340 and that usually happens around day 50 for sure for sure and it was like i was gonna finish it

00:34:21.400 regardless but it was like okay i can't just go essentially be a success zombie i can't go in

00:34:27.420 and just get it done no no no it had to be the same intention that you started with on days one

00:34:33.360 two and three yeah and that was another big um another big factor to it was and that's kind of

00:34:38.220 why i did the the four by four by 48 was perfect right there it tuned you up yeah and kind of the

00:34:44.640 same thing with that program i got to where i had uh three runs left and i was like i'm almost done but

00:34:49.940 you're like i still have to do this three more times yeah um so yeah i think yeah day 50 you know

00:34:56.920 you're gonna finish but it's just making sure you're still going as hard as you can every day

00:35:02.320 yeah for sure i you know the one thing that impresses me the most about people who do this program and who

00:35:09.500 who who understand it is how

00:35:13.260 different they describe their situations as the time goes on meaning like you know in the beginning

00:35:24.180 they're like oh you know my friends they're having this birthday party and you know it's going to be

00:35:29.320 hard because i can't drink or i can't eat this and this and that and then after like 40 days you're

00:35:35.600 like yeah so yeah exactly so what you know what i'm saying so i i just i don't know man like i'm

00:35:42.580 getting hyped just talking about it because i'm like in a i just finished phase one for this year

00:35:46.820 and i'm like in the lull like i'm still doing everything but it's just different when you're

00:35:51.240 not checking that thing every day you know but i fucking love it what do um when you talk about 0.83

00:35:58.560 winning the day i'm sure that's something that has probably continued to stick with you right 0.77

00:36:03.600 how's that going for you um it i have like in other in in other regards yeah like like your

00:36:10.420 you know your school and what you're building with your career and all those things how is how

00:36:14.820 have the lessons that you've learned uh regarding winning the day helped you there so in phase one

00:36:21.060 with the powerless specifically i doing 75 hard i just used the app um the app was great clicking

00:36:26.900 everything but then in phase one i got myself a notebook and every day you know wrote out my three

00:36:31.940 additional tasks and um i just noticed my productivity went way up even though it already

00:36:39.560 had was 75 hard you learn to manage your time better but then i just noticed little things just

00:36:45.200 getting different assignments done for school work or mainly school because that was my main focus um

00:36:52.040 during that phase but i just noticed you you create more time for yourself talk about that for a minute

00:36:58.880 because the the the initial thing as you know that everybody says is i don't have time there's no way

00:37:04.700 i could get this all done so let's talk about how the program actually creates time i'll let you handle

00:37:09.860 that so yeah at first you're like gosh two workouts they have to be separate you can't do them back to

00:37:15.960 back and then just figuring everything out you think yeah initially you're like this is i'm gonna be up

00:37:22.140 at 6 a.m every day and i'm gonna have to go to bed at midnight and while that's true in some cases

00:37:28.260 um it's for the most part it's not and you realize when is it where when is it true yeah when is it true 0.91

00:37:37.000 that you find yourself out doing cardio at 1 a.m it's usually when you fucked up and didn't do the 0.92

00:37:42.120 you're supposed to do yeah during the day a lot of time right um so it teaches you real quick 0.99

00:37:47.560 like hey let's stay on the plan um but you start to realize all the extra garbage you were doing

00:37:57.860 yeah you're like okay well here where i would sit for two hours watching tv or scrolling on social

00:38:04.220 media cut that out yeah um yeah just overall though time management you learn to actually use it well

00:38:12.880 um did that natural um like pivot start to happen for you where you started to catch yourself like

00:38:21.140 scrolling and you're like fuck it i gotta go work out like here i am i caught my like you started to 0.99

00:38:25.280 catch yourself yeah i and i probably made way through the program just with social media can be a great 0.99

00:38:35.460 tool but there's also just so much crap out there and i said this is like i basically i get on

00:38:44.500 instagram and i look at your posts i look at like james lawrence posts maybe look at david scoggins and

00:38:50.220 then i'm i'm done and i set a limit on my phone and when time's up time's up i don't need to 0.67

00:38:55.260 like you i mean it's amazing how long you can just sit it's an energy suck it is for sure and you

00:39:01.920 and there's so much negativity out there that you just don't need yeah and so and you don't realize 0.60

00:39:07.900 it until you got other shit to do yeah and so yeah it for me it was i gosh i don't even know but 0.68

00:39:17.940 yeah i would just set a time limit yeah and when time was up it was time to go and i would catch

00:39:23.300 myself sometimes maybe getting ready for a workout and i'd get a notification and i'd look on it and i was

00:39:28.980 like can't do it i don't need to it's it's a lot of it is worthless yeah it is it's not contributing

00:39:37.600 what you did was you you started to edit your whole entire habit into um you know the content

00:39:43.640 that made you better you know yeah exactly that's that's what we have to do you think the program

00:39:49.780 helped you figure that out or is that something you just figured out because you were busy or like

00:39:54.020 how did because people people have a hard time seeing that i think i think i kind of knew it in

00:40:00.260 the back of my head yeah um but i think doing this program i was like yeah this is yeah that's a hard

00:40:08.120 habit to cut it is yeah especially i mean i'm a 21 year old right i mean we've grown up on it but

00:40:13.580 and that's hard for me man that's what's frustrating it's like that's what my generation

00:40:18.600 has been built on and it's it's a it's a scary thing to think about honestly i know i know yeah

00:40:27.980 but the cool thing is is that there's people like you out there doing things and showing what it looks

00:40:34.100 like to actually improve and actually get better and actually pursue goals and uh that's a very noble

00:40:39.800 thing that i commend you on uh tremendously you know not many people at your age are already looking

00:40:46.740 introspectively to say hey how here's an issue i have here's how i need to fix it and this is where

00:40:53.660 i need to be mentally um you know there's a reason i brought you on the show and and it's not because

00:41:01.760 you know you you when i read your caption on completing the post i knew that you had actually

00:41:07.040 done the program and uh hearing you talk about how it inspired the other people around you

00:41:12.940 i mean what's better than that you know what i mean yeah and you don't have to talk about it if

00:41:18.300 you just do it you know a lot of people they they're a lot of people hit me up and they're like

00:41:23.480 dude why don't you talk more on your stories like you used to or why don't you do this or that it's

00:41:26.740 like dude because honestly i'm making a bigger impact by just showing people that i'm doing the 0.88

00:41:30.440 shit you know what i mean and that's that's something that all of you listening should remember is 0.94

00:41:35.680 you know as you go through this program and as you start to progress you know preaching about it 0.97

00:41:42.360 it that's cool and everything but at the end of the day people are going to watch what you do

00:41:48.080 and they're going to they're going to mimic what you do because humans by nature are looking for

00:41:55.340 paths to follow that have already been gone down most people don't want to go down a whole new path on

00:42:01.480 their own but if they see lexi do it they say oh dude she's a different person i'm going to try 0.81

00:42:06.220 that i'm going to do that and um what you're doing and what you've done is super powerful so i hope you

00:42:13.020 i hope you really take a lot of pride in that because it not many people um lead you know what i mean
