00:02:57.720 the entire year. A lot of people think football is just like, oh, when the season comes around,
00:03:01.740 like no football never stops. That's right. And in that building in Tuscaloosa, it really
00:03:05.580 never stops. And you're always uncomfortable when you go in. But the reality is just like so
00:03:10.040 many people who have attempted 75 hard. You're thinking about 75 hard. What's going to hold you
00:03:14.880 back is your self-talk. It's the same thing at Alabama. What's going to hold those players
00:03:19.760 back from competing at their highest level or not? It's their self-talk. And for you listening,
00:03:24.600 it's your self-talk. For anybody in corporate America, it's your self-talk. Self-talk is what
00:03:28.640 holds us back. And so for me, what I think is kind of unique for people to hear, I had so much
00:03:33.740 self-talk around 75 hard because I have my unrequired workout that I've done forever. And I used
00:03:39.580 to tell myself, why do I need to do 75 hard? That was going to be my first question. I do my own
00:03:44.040 required work. Why do I need to do it? Right. And that was my self-talk. Yeah. And then I'm like,
00:03:48.980 well, shit. I mean, I've been friends with Andy forever. Look at the results Andy's getting. Why
00:03:53.340 would I not challenge myself? Because I'm a mental toughness coach. Like I'm, I don't need help
00:03:57.460 anymore. You know, hold on. Let's stop right there. Now I want you guys to recognize what we're
00:04:02.520 talking about here in terms of your own character and your own performance. This is a man who literally
00:04:08.480 teaches how to be mentally tough, who, who, who is able to look at it and say, no, I'm, I'm good

00:08:01.640 compound effect and you start surrounding yourself and you've got to, you've got to perform in the
00:08:06.660 environment that you're put in. If I walk into Alabama, right. And I'm overweight. I look like
00:08:11.880 I was eating donuts. I'm not doing my work. Those guys are not going to listen to me. And so when
00:08:16.400 practice ends, typically I'll go with the tight ends and we get a little lifting together for 10
00:08:20.500 or 15 minutes, get a little pumping. And when I'm lifting the same weight as them for them to get
00:08:24.540 their pump, there's a different connection I have with those. For sure. And so people don't realize
00:08:29.440 like the little work you do every day. When I started working out, I always worked out. But when I
00:08:34.600 started working out for that next level, I didn't know I was going to be working in Alabama. When
00:08:37.960 you and I met, I wasn't working in Alabama. No. Yeah. And so those are the little things
00:08:42.140 people. They just, they live in the, in the, just own the day rather than trying to control
00:08:47.020 the results that you have no control over. Yeah. Yeah. You have control over them. If you dominate
00:08:51.520 one day at a time, that's it. And most people lack the perspective, right? Like when you're,
00:08:58.640 when you, I promise we're going to get into 75 hearts, but like, I like these conversations.
00:09:03.280 So I think from what I've noticed, most people have a hard time committing to that concept of
00:09:11.960 day by day by day. Cause they've never actually done it. And it doesn't like see it. It's when
00:09:17.280 you're standing at the fucking foot of the mountain, bro, it seems impossible. You're like,
00:09:21.500 Oh dude, that's way too simple. That's not really how it's done. You mean you just execute today
00:09:26.780 and then you do it again tomorrow and then the next day. But, and people think like,

00:09:38.120 magical thing to it. There's no magic to it. The only fucking magic to it is the momentum that you
00:09:44.040 create that helps you push you even faster towards where you're going. And if you guys would just
00:09:49.120 commit, you know, to 75 days of intentional effort every single day to do this, you,
00:09:56.720 you will change tremendously. But my argument would be for most people. Now you already knew
00:10:03.000 this and I already knew this, but I think for most people, I think the big awakening that they
00:10:08.060 have during this program is that they, they get to look back and they say, Holy shit, it really is
00:10:13.500 that simple. So if I keep going, I'm going to get where I want to go. And so this is something that
00:10:19.800 you have to do to understand. And, you know, let's talk about that.
00:10:25.420 Before we get into it, I just want to mention, because I think it's really important to capture
00:10:28.580 this point. Why are Andy and I, and I'm just going to be direct. Why are we jerks and assholes?
00:10:34.460 Because we're challenging you to be your best. That's the part I don't understand. Right. So
00:10:39.000 people want to like, why would he create this? People come at me for this. Wait a second.
00:10:42.220 Why is it a bad thing for somebody to encourage you to experience something that may unlock the

00:11:00.680 dollar organizations that have the blessing of coaching. And I'll say to them, your people are
00:11:05.460 getting so frustrated when all you're doing as a leader is encouraging them to live their best life.
00:11:10.620 Why is that so wrong? Well, society is dictating. You encourage somebody to be their best.
00:11:16.000 And it's like, why are you coming at me like this? So I just, I just wanted to open up by saying
00:11:19.980 when we have this conversation, say just know like Andy and I, DJ, all of us, like we want you to just
00:11:26.880 experience what it means for you to be your best. Yeah. So don't take this the wrong way. Don't take
00:11:31.340 it. We're too challenging. Take it for what it is. Like Andy created this because he wants people to feel
00:11:37.120 what it is to be your best. I mean, is that right? No, it's right. But it's like, you know, at this
00:11:43.080 point, bro, you know, I'm, you know, I'll be, I'll be real back. You know, I'm fucking, I'm not doing
00:11:48.400 this for the motherfuckers. I got to convince to do it. You know, if you don't, if you don't figure

00:12:59.640 mirror and saying, I'm fucking proud of the life I have of who I am and what I'm about.

00:13:44.760 do I think it's a shame? Sure. Do I think it's a tragedy? Yeah, I do. Because there's a lot of wasted
00:13:50.060 lives out there. But at the same time, you and I both know, dude, we can't really convince anybody
00:13:56.280 to do anything. We can point you there. We can tell you what it's like. We can show you the results,
00:14:02.580 but unless you truly want it, I mean, it's a waste of breath and energy to try to convince.
00:14:09.340 That's something I've been started realizing lately. Like I, and it's brought me some peace,

00:14:51.300 going to suck. It could be a lot of those things, you know, but I'm not going to get angry at somebody
00:14:55.920 if they don't want to do it. But I could tell you this, the gap between me and you is going to get
00:15:00.580 a lot fucking wider. The gap between you and everybody else going to get a lot wider if they decide to

00:16:05.300 days, I've had six days off my program, whether I was doing it like for counting or whether people
00:16:12.700 thought I was just out living, I'm still doing this shit. You know what I'm saying? So, and I told
00:16:18.600 people at the beginning of the lockdowns, I said, look, this is a tremendous opportunity. Everybody's
00:16:22.820 going to go in their shell because remember in the recession back in 08, 9, 10, during that time,
00:16:31.240 everybody in business went in their shell. They stopped trying to be aggressive. And, and I learned
00:16:38.020 a valuable lesson at that time because we stayed aggressive because we had to, because we were on
00:16:43.700 the pivot point of making it in business or not making it in business. And so we had to stay
00:16:48.980 aggressive and by staying aggressive, when everybody else pulled back, we were able to
00:16:52.840 create a huge gap. And that's what this situation is going on right now in the world. How many of
00:16:58.640 your friends have gone backwards in terms of their health, in terms of their physique, in terms of
00:17:02.820 their mentality? You know, this is a time in history that is unprecedented for opportunity. That's how I
00:17:09.980 see it. Everybody else is slowing down. Everybody else is taking the excuses of, you know, well, I can't go to
00:17:17.060 the gym or, you know, I can't go here or I can't, I can't do this. Or, you know, they they're getting
00:17:23.720 lazy because they don't have to go into the office. There's all kinds of things. And so I saw this time
00:17:28.540 as an opportunity when everybody else is quitting, I can go through triple in and make a big gap
00:17:34.280 difference. And guys, it's fucking happening. Okay. So this is how you should be looking at it as well.
00:17:40.720 You should be looking at this, this whole situation that we have of the hardships and the, uh,
00:17:47.640 the lockdowns and all this crazy shit that everybody keeps like, dude, while the world goes
00:17:52.860 crazy, you should be getting focused and you'll create a huge gap between you and whoever else
00:17:56.900 you're competing with. And don't get it wrong, dude. You are competing with people, whether you
00:18:01.460 want to admit it or not, that's the nature of the society that we live in. So, you know,
00:18:07.080 that's your choices. Your choices is you can either be like everybody else and go backwards
00:18:11.160 or you could get focused. And while everybody else is, you know, justifying every excuse in the book,
00:18:18.160 you're at, you have the opportunity to move forward. And that, that's, that's what creating the,
00:18:22.440 the, what you're talking about, you know, champions create distance. The distance is
00:18:27.120 everybody else clocks out on Thursday night, a happy hour. You know, if you don't do that,
00:18:32.080 you're getting an extra, you're in extra two months a year, 52 days a year that you're winning.
00:18:36.760 And if you add Saturday onto that, that's an extra four months a year that you're beating
00:18:41.360 over these motherfuckers that are going out and going to happy hour on Thursday night and not
00:18:46.000 sobering up until fucking Monday afternoon. And the other part I don't understand about it is
00:18:50.460 they get the Saturday and they can't even focus on being with their families or their significant
00:18:55.200 others or the people that they love because they're like beating themselves up that they didn't
00:18:59.100 do more on Friday. It's like, well, that was your choice to be undisciplined on Friday. And it's
00:19:03.980 your choice to do that every Friday, talking about how excited you are. And then you get to
00:19:08.840 Saturday, then you get to Sunday and you're terrified for Monday as a result of your choices.
00:19:14.060 Nobody did this to you. And that's where I encourage everybody start 75 hard. Don't think
00:19:20.240 about it. Don't say, I'm going to try it. I encourage you to do it because you'll stop doing
00:19:26.020 that on Friday. Yeah. You're going to say, I now recognize that every day is an opportunity.
00:19:30.380 And especially on a day where my competition is going to slow down when I kill this day,
00:19:35.020 like I do every other day, I will create that distance. And when I get to Saturday,
00:19:39.180 I'm going to be locked in and focus with my kids. Yeah. When I'm at their game, I'm going
00:19:42.500 to be like locked in being like so happy that I'm sitting there with peace. My legs are crossed.

00:19:59.320 people you choose to do this to yourself. And that's the part, like we're going to be direct
00:20:03.480 today because we care that much because it's your self-talk. It's all, it's on you and you have to

00:20:16.140 well, why, like legitimately, like why the fuck even do it if you're you? Cause you're already in
00:20:21.340 shape. You're pretty good shape. All right. Now you're fucking jacked. Okay. That's the benefit of
00:20:26.200 the program. Right. Um, well, one of the, it's actually one of the fourth or fifth benefits of
00:20:31.240 the program, but let's talk about that, dude. Like, I mean, what, what was it that you said?
00:20:36.140 You said, Hey dude, I want to, I want to do this. Well, I, I literally just asked myself the question,
00:20:41.720 why would I not do it? Yeah. And I had the self-talk, no reason for me to do it. No reason
00:20:46.540 for me to do it. And then finally I said, why would I not do this? And I really did see your results
00:20:51.240 because I remember conversations that you and I had where it was like, I'm about to make some
00:20:55.820 changes and you were like, people are going to see the changes that I make. Yeah. And at that
00:20:59.920 point in time, there was no 75 hard. This is years ago. You and I haven't launched. I remember saying,
00:21:03.800 I know I've seen it on the stage when we spoke together at, uh, Virgin islands and we were up
00:21:11.060 there on stage and I was 350 fucking pounds. And I said to everybody there, cause I was embarrassed.
00:21:16.180 I said, Hey, um, I know you guys probably won't believe what I'm about to tell you,
00:21:21.560 but I'm going to get fucking jacked. And the next time you all see me, I ain't going to look like
00:21:25.840 this. Cause I was pissed off to you. Like I was, we were there, we were in the, we were in the beach,
00:21:30.300 we were going on the boat, you know, I'm fucking fat as shit. I let myself go and it pissed me off.
00:21:37.660 And like, I knew that wasn't a representation of my knowledge set that I'm sitting there teaching

00:22:18.260 working my way down. And I, on January 4th, when I started the actual thing with the video
00:22:23.120 on first form of shit, I was three 20. So I lost, or I'm sorry, three 30. So I lost 20 pounds during

00:38:58.180 you find out when you're uncomfortable, when you experience pain, that's where your real strength
