00:00:00.000 What is up guys, it's Andy Priscilla and this is the show for the realists, say goodbye
00:00:20.840 to the lies, the fakes and delusions of modern society and welcome to motherfucking reality.
00:00:25.600 Guys, today we have Q and AF, that's where you submit questions and I give you the answers.
00:00:31.720 Where do they submit the questions?
00:00:33.360 Guys, email those questions into askandy at andyfriscilla.com.
00:00:37.400 Ask Andy at andyfriscilla.com.
00:00:40.340 That's where we will select the intelligent questions and answer them, the stupid ones
00:00:44.440 we don't answer.
00:00:46.000 CTI is another format of a show that you may or may not have heard before and what that
00:00:51.180 stands for is Cruise the Internet.
00:00:52.540 And what we do is we throw three headlines up on the screen and then we dissect them
00:00:56.900 and we make fun of them and then we make fun of the people who believe them and then we
00:01:01.040 deduce the truth.
00:01:03.160 And we talk about the fundamental problem, which happens to be always us.
00:01:10.020 And that's why we have Q and AF.
00:01:12.300 We're going to help you be better, all right?
00:01:14.080 Then we have real talk and real talk is where I get on and I kind of yell and then, you know,
00:01:18.420 people post clips of it and then like 19 and 20 year old kids don't know fucking shit.
00:01:24.000 Say, don't yell at me, bro.
00:01:26.040 And and then they go on to lose their entire life.
00:01:28.940 But people who listen actually win.
00:01:30.680 So that's a good thing.
00:01:32.140 And then we have full length.
00:01:33.320 And by the way, I could care either way.
00:01:35.280 I really don't.
00:01:36.240 I'm here for the fucking winners, not the losers.
00:01:38.120 So if you think I'm yelling at you and you don't like it, turn a fucking channel.
00:01:41.820 Right.
00:01:42.060 Then we have full length, which is I interview badass, successful, kickass, interesting people,
00:01:49.560 sometimes people with different perspectives than me.
00:01:51.740 And we talk about how they did these badass, crazy things and also how they are just regular
00:01:57.100 people like me and you who have worked extremely hard to do really cool shit.
00:02:05.400 And then we talk about how you could do it, too.
00:02:07.140 So that's the basis of the show.
00:02:08.740 OK, guys, if you're new, you get lots of new people every week, every show.
00:02:12.440 And the reason that we get lots of new people every show is because of the fee.
00:02:16.900 The fee is very simple.
00:02:18.520 Please tell someone about the show.
00:02:20.300 That's the fee.
00:02:21.300 OK, we we don't run ads on the show.
00:02:23.260 We don't run ads for the show.
00:02:24.880 We work entirely off word of mouth because I believe in the value exchange.
00:02:29.740 So if I give you value, I ask in return that you share the show.
00:02:34.340 That's the fee.
00:02:35.460 OK, and the fee, our little deal that we have going on for eight years now is that that means
00:02:40.700 every episode that you find value in.
00:02:43.400 Not if you like don't be one of these people that listens to 400 episodes and be like, yeah,
00:02:47.460 that helped me and share it one time.
00:02:49.460 That's a that's not value exchange.
00:02:51.320 That's taking advantage.
00:02:52.840 So all I ask is value exchange.
00:02:55.500 All right.
00:02:55.980 I think that's fair.
00:02:56.920 I think that's the way we shall be.
00:02:58.100 I could make literally eight figures on the show easy based off the downloads.
00:03:03.920 And I don't do that because I think it's fucking annoying to tune into someone's show and hear
00:03:08.280 a third of the show be fucking bullshit ads about shit they probably don't even fucking use.
00:03:13.020 OK, so I'm not even going to insult people's intelligence, nor do I want my message to be
00:03:18.300 deluded.
00:03:20.240 Yeah.
00:03:20.540 I don't want people fucking telling me what to say or not to say because I don't deal with
00:03:24.480 that and I generally tell people to eat shit, which is why I'm fucking entrepreneur, because
00:03:29.580 I cannot fucking answer to people.
00:03:33.500 Unless it's our customers.
00:03:35.060 Yeah.
00:03:35.640 So anyway, what's up, dude?
00:03:38.380 What's going on, brother?
00:03:39.340 Nothing.
00:03:39.740 Hello, children.
00:03:40.560 Yeah.
00:03:41.380 We got a chef DJ here.
00:03:43.140 If you follow DJ, what's your Instagram?
00:03:45.940 Tell these people.
00:03:46.640 Guys, you follow me.
00:03:47.680 I'm on the IG is officially the Johnson.
00:03:51.840 Officially the Johnson.
00:03:52.720 If you follow DJ, cooks a lot.
00:03:57.520 Very good cook.
00:03:58.840 The other night he cooked a fish.
00:04:00.640 Whole fish was whole trout.
00:04:01.800 With the head on it.
00:04:02.420 Yeah.
00:04:02.800 And like all these people around the office been freaking out about the head, bro.
00:04:07.580 How does that make you feel?
00:04:08.860 I don't know.
00:04:09.300 Does it make you feel underappreciated?
00:04:11.300 I mean, a little oppressed.
00:04:12.780 Yeah.
00:04:13.060 Oppressed?
00:04:13.780 Yeah.
00:04:14.440 I mean, if that's what that feels like.
00:04:15.080 What made you feel more oppressed?
00:04:16.520 OK.
00:04:16.740 The backlash of cooking the fish with the whole head or the heat yesterday when we were working
00:04:25.140 out.
00:04:25.440 Oh, well.
00:04:26.440 Because I felt oppressed by the heat.
00:04:27.920 It's fucking hot out here, bro.
00:04:29.220 Yeah.
00:04:29.500 The sun was definitely oppressing me yesterday.
00:04:31.540 It's fucking hot.
00:04:31.740 They got that harp shit running full blast right now.
00:04:33.900 Yeah.
00:04:36.040 Sorry, guys.
00:04:36.740 That's for TTI.
00:04:37.240 I like the heat, though, because at least we're both oppressed.
00:04:40.660 Yeah, for sure.
00:04:41.160 Well, I'll tell you this.
00:04:41.780 I know that it's still better than the fucking two feet of snow we had to do cardio.
00:04:46.360 Bro.
00:04:46.660 So fuck that.
00:04:47.860 I'll take the heat.
00:04:49.020 You know what's funny?
00:04:50.060 Remember when I tried to quit halfway?
00:04:52.000 Yeah.
00:04:53.340 Like 10 minutes in, man.
00:04:54.560 The truth is, on that workout, I bitched out a little bit.
00:04:58.200 I'll be honest.
00:04:59.120 We got halfway through, and I'm like, you know what?
00:05:01.100 This is going to be 45 minutes, because we already are at halfway of 45 minutes.
00:05:07.380 And DJ's like, no, let's do the whole thing.
00:05:09.080 Yeah.
00:05:09.500 And I'm like, all right.
00:05:10.340 So we did it.
00:05:11.580 I mean, that's the beautiful thing.
00:05:12.900 It took twice as long.
00:05:13.460 Yeah.
00:05:13.800 But fuck.
00:05:14.420 Every time we're out there in that oppressive heat, for real, dude.
00:05:16.840 Now we use that, yeah.
00:05:17.740 You're in St. Louis.
00:05:18.560 That shit is oppressive.
00:05:19.560 Yeah.
00:05:20.240 No, it's fucking like that heat is fucking robbing me.
00:05:23.800 Yeah.
00:05:23.960 We need to start a hashtag about it.
00:05:27.240 But I think that's the cool thing, man.
00:05:30.040 Because it's like, we now use that, no matter what the fuck's going on outside, we use that
00:05:35.080 one day.
00:05:36.080 As the stick.
00:05:37.340 Yeah.
00:05:37.920 Yeah, dude.
00:05:38.420 Every time it sucks, we're like, at least it ain't that one day.
00:05:41.560 Exactly.
00:05:41.900 When the snow is on the ground.
00:05:42.740 Exactly.
00:05:43.640 Bro, that's why it's important for you to push yourself, like real talk, like no joke.
00:05:48.360 That's why I talk about and tell you guys why it's so important to put yourself in difficult
00:05:53.500 situations.
00:05:54.880 Goggins talks about this a lot, too, bro.
00:05:56.840 He talks about it in terms of the cookie jar.
00:05:58.800 Yeah.
00:05:59.080 Right?
00:05:59.320 But you got to know that you can do hard shit to do hard shit.
00:06:03.520 So how are you going to learn that you can do hard shit if you don't intentionally put
00:06:08.220 that shit in front of you?
00:06:09.320 Right.
00:06:09.800 And it's no different than training in the gym.
00:06:12.020 And you have the resistance of the weights.
00:06:14.640 It's no different than learning how to be a good runner or fucking good at anything.
00:06:19.120 Yeah.
00:06:19.340 So like being mentally tough and being able to, those are skills that you develop by putting
00:06:26.080 yourself in difficult situations so that when things get difficult, you can look back on
00:06:31.540 those things and be like, no, dude, this ain't shit.
00:06:33.960 Exactly.
00:06:34.400 I got this.
00:06:35.320 And you push through because, dude, those moments of weakness, they're fucking less than
00:06:39.400 five seconds long.
00:06:40.460 They're fucking tiny little conversations that you have that say, like, oh, dude, you know,
00:06:46.480 we should go back to the beginning.
00:06:47.520 We start justifying.
00:06:48.720 And if we could just get through that five seconds, say, no, shut the fuck up.
00:06:51.840 I'm going to finish this.
00:06:53.100 We just get through that.
00:06:54.520 There's literally nothing that we can't do in life.
00:06:57.120 100 percent.
00:06:57.560 That's the truth, dude.
00:06:58.720 Yeah.
00:06:59.080 So like, I think the one of the most.
00:07:01.140 That's why I get so fucking pissed off at these fucking people who don't understand the program.
00:07:05.520 And then they're like, it's too hard.
00:07:08.740 Motherfucker is supposed to be hard.
00:07:10.740 Holy shit.
00:07:12.060 I think when I reflect on that day, bro, you know, what was the most like what I got the
00:07:16.800 most out of that, bro?
00:07:18.080 Is it because you guys got to understand, right?
00:07:19.480 Like I'm with Andy every day and like I, I still see, I see Andy just how you guys see
00:07:24.600 Andy, right?
00:07:24.940 He's a badass, the fucking most mentally tough motherfucker.
00:07:27.380 Out here, right?
00:07:28.520 Well, half of the people listening think it's bullshit.
00:07:31.120 Well, and the other half fucking.
00:07:32.800 I'm with you every fucking day.
00:07:33.880 Yeah, I know.
00:07:34.660 And like, I do.
00:07:35.220 I remember that day.
00:07:35.900 And I think the coolest thing about it was, it's like, I remember as soon as we fucking
00:07:39.060 got outside and we're looking around and like, there's nobody fucking out here.
00:07:43.300 Right.
00:07:43.700 And we're going and about five minutes in, I start having these thoughts in my head.
00:07:47.800 Now, I'm not saying nothing because, again, I'm walking with one of the baddest motherfucker.
00:07:50.880 Like, I'm not about to be a little bitch.
00:07:52.580 You know what I'm saying?
00:07:53.240 But like five minutes, 10 minutes in.
00:07:55.660 And then you say like, hey, man.
00:07:57.100 Well, no, we weren't 10 minutes in, bro.
00:07:58.580 What it was was we were 22 minutes away from here.
00:08:01.240 Right.
00:08:01.480 So I fucking counted it.
00:08:02.800 But it would have been like.
00:08:03.640 It would have been 45 minutes had we turned around there.
00:08:06.340 Right.
00:08:06.840 And then you suggested that we just do the regular thing.
00:08:09.400 Yeah.
00:08:10.400 And then I agree with you.
00:08:11.640 Yeah.
00:08:12.280 So we actually did like double the amount.
00:08:14.820 100%.
00:08:15.180 Because there was a literal foot of snow on the ground.
00:08:18.160 It fucking sucked, too.
00:08:19.460 But like the coolest thing was just like knowing that like these, these doubts and these thoughts,
00:08:24.160 you know what I'm saying?
00:08:24.680 Like that I have is like a person, average Joe, whatever you want to call it.
00:08:28.880 But like they're the same thoughts that everybody has.
00:08:30.660 No, bro.
00:08:31.060 You're not average.
00:08:31.940 We're the same.
00:08:33.060 I'm just fucking 16 years older than you, whatever the fuck it is.
00:08:36.080 Yeah.
00:08:36.160 You know what I'm saying?
00:08:36.780 So like, dude, that that's practice.
00:08:38.940 Yeah.
00:08:39.300 Like, bro, you're so much further ahead than I was at fucking 26 in that way.
00:08:43.240 And fucking 26 years over.
00:08:44.940 I wasn't even aware of this.
00:08:46.260 I wasn't even fucking aware of this.
00:08:48.580 So like what you when you just become aware of being able to conquer.
00:08:54.220 Now, I'm not talking about having the discipline to press through because that does take a lot of work because these conversations when you're mentally weak are frequent.
00:09:04.520 OK, and the stronger you get, they become less and less frequent.
00:09:09.060 Yeah.
00:09:09.300 So you have.
00:09:10.940 But they're still there.
00:09:12.040 Yes.
00:09:12.360 But you have much less of a chance to fail when those conversations are less frequent.
00:09:18.960 Right.
00:09:19.640 Right.
00:09:19.920 This is part of the reason I do intermittent fasting, because my my ability to fuck it up is less.
00:09:26.700 Right.
00:09:27.840 That's that's the point.
00:09:29.060 So we want to minimize the contact points that we have the opportunity to fuck our lives up to bitch out.
00:09:35.180 All right.
00:09:35.580 So when you become mentally tough, like by doing hard things and putting yourself through a program like live hard, which takes a fucking full year commitment.
00:09:44.980 OK.
00:09:46.380 It's hard if you do it right.
00:09:48.000 It's hard as fuck.
00:09:49.460 Yeah.
00:09:49.720 OK, but when you do that and you raise the level of your ability to not bitch to fuck out to that bitch voice, now you are actually lessening the chance that you could fail by default because there's less of these conversations because you're conditioned not to talk to yourself that way.
00:10:07.000 Right.
00:10:07.260 So, like, it totally changes the trajectory of everything that you do and everything you're capable of once you can just learn this mental toughness.
00:10:16.800 And that is the whole point of 75 hard and live hard episode 208.
00:10:22.360 It's fucking free.
00:10:23.440 But these fucking idiots that look at the fucking thing and they get jealous because it's the most popular program ever fucking made ever.
00:10:31.860 Right.
00:10:32.180 OK.
00:10:33.280 And they didn't think of it.
00:10:34.100 Yes.
00:10:34.600 And they want to make money and they want to sell their shit.
00:10:36.940 This shit is fucking free.
00:10:38.220 It's 208.
00:10:39.260 You could do any diet.
00:10:40.540 You could buy any trainer's fucking program and put it in there.
00:10:43.980 You can still use your nutrition coach.
00:10:46.240 So all you stupid motherfuckers that don't know what you're talking about and make yourselves look stupid.
00:10:49.920 Yeah.
00:10:50.120 When you talk about it, consider that.
00:10:52.760 I made it so you could participate in this.
00:10:55.160 This will help your business, not hurt it.
00:10:57.500 Like, fuck, dude.
00:10:58.900 It's annoying.
00:10:59.720 Yeah.
00:11:00.380 I just remember all the shit we talked and as soon as we got done, though, we finished the conversation, but I'm glad we did it.
00:11:05.440 Yeah.
00:11:05.940 You know what I'm saying?
00:11:06.400 Dude, we said it yesterday.
00:11:07.760 Yeah.
00:11:08.300 We said it yesterday.
00:11:09.300 Man, I'm glad we did that fucking snow workout because it was hot as fuck yesterday, dude.
00:11:13.520 It's just like the heat just swallowed you.
00:11:15.520 Yeah, it was impressive.
00:11:16.480 Yeah.
00:11:17.140 Yeah.
00:11:17.500 It's fucking super.
00:11:18.100 So, yeah.
00:11:19.400 But, I mean, like, dude, that's the point, guys, is like you have to invest in your mental toughness and have it at the forefront of your mind all the time because, dude, life is hard.
00:11:32.360 Life is tough.
00:11:33.080 Unexpected circumstances arise every day, multiple times a day.
00:11:38.900 Now, more than ever.
00:11:39.900 Tell me one fucking day that goes the way you fucking plan.
00:11:42.960 They never go the way you plan.
00:11:44.600 There's always shit in the way.
00:11:46.600 So, you have to learn how to operate within that.
00:11:50.080 And that's the point of that program.
00:11:52.000 And, like, dude, to me, it's fucking hilarious how many people, like, these little fucking trainers say, say this shit online.
00:12:00.620 And then they get fucking blasted by every single person who's like, no, it fucking changed my life.
00:12:07.540 Right.
00:12:07.940 And then they got to delete their Instagram.
00:12:09.580 So, really, guys, I'm just trying to save you.
00:12:12.140 Right.
00:12:12.420 Like, would you get online and say, hey, all you motherfuckers did Iron Man, you're a bunch of pussies.
00:12:18.380 Right.
00:12:18.680 Would you do that?
00:12:19.460 Because that's what you're doing.
00:12:22.020 It's real shit, man.
00:12:23.140 So, like, think about that.
00:12:25.580 It's fucking free, too.
00:12:27.360 Like, it's fucking free, dude.
00:12:29.260 But I got some good ones for you, brother.
00:12:33.300 All right.
00:12:34.220 I thought that was the show.
00:12:35.760 Well, yeah, I mean, it can't be shit.
00:12:37.520 All right, let's do the show.
00:12:38.540 Got some good ones for you.
00:12:40.820 Yes, let's get into it.
00:12:42.240 Andy, question number one.
00:12:44.320 This actually kind of ties in with the conversation we just had.
00:12:46.580 But question number one says, several times over the years, you've talked about your long struggle with depression.
00:12:52.620 You say that you still have difficult days, but you seem to have a stronghold on your depression.
00:12:57.620 I've been to counseling, and I'm currently taking medication, which helps, but it's still a constant struggle for me.
00:13:02.900 Do you have any advice or insight as to how to manage and overcome this?
00:13:07.660 I can't give you advice on that because it's an issue.
00:13:11.080 Like, here's what I'm going to do.
00:13:12.000 I'm going to tell you what the fuck worked for me, and you can decide if you want to go that route.
00:13:16.460 First off, yeah, bro, I do still struggle with it, but it's personal struggle, bro.
00:13:24.100 And what I mean by personal is not it's private.
00:13:26.800 What I mean is I take it fucking personal, and it pisses me off, and I fucking look at it as the fucking enemy, and I don't let enemies defeat me ever.
00:13:34.960 So I take it personal, I get fucking pissed about it, and when I have those days, I make those motherfucking days the days I am the most fucking effective possible.
00:13:46.440 I get the most done.
00:13:48.240 It's like me sticking my two middle fingers up to it and be like, fuck you, you can't fuck with me.
00:13:52.700 And that comes from the conversation that we had before the first question, when I went on that little spiel about fucking 75 hard.
00:14:03.800 That's where that comes from.
00:14:05.600 So I was on medication for a long time.
00:14:10.280 Once I started becoming awake to the reality of the pharmaceutical industry,
00:14:20.180 I tried to remove as much shit from my life as possible, and I was able to wean myself off.
00:14:30.700 And now I feel much better.
00:14:35.260 That's the truth.
00:14:37.360 But the reason I feel better isn't just because I...
00:14:39.960 Because dude, that's a very dangerous thing to do.
00:14:43.220 So you need to talk through with the actual doctor to move off if that's where you choose to do.
00:14:49.320 I'm not recommending that because there's a lot of problems with that if you just fucking quit and shit.
00:14:54.560 Cold turkey, yeah.
00:14:55.280 Yeah, dude.
00:14:55.920 Be smart, okay?
00:14:57.180 So that's why I don't talk about this much because I don't want to give anybody the wrong advice.
00:15:01.680 So I'm telling you what I did.
00:15:04.360 And I manage it now with the things that I talk about in the podcast, which is discipline, purpose, and gratitude.
00:15:14.600 And when I'm depressed or I'm in a bad mood, and then also another thing is I quit alcohol completely.
00:15:23.120 Alcohol really fucked with me, dude.
00:15:24.700 I never realized it because alcohol was a part of our family's culture.
00:15:29.780 Like we come from a fucking family of socializers, right?
00:15:33.120 Like in my family, Italian family, you know, it's food and alcohol and good times.
00:15:38.540 And that's how I grew up.
00:15:40.000 And there's nothing wrong with that either.
00:15:41.160 I love that life.
00:15:42.040 Like my whole family, that's still how they live.
00:15:44.180 And I think it's great.
00:15:45.260 I just can't do it because it makes me crazy, okay?
00:15:48.500 So what I noticed when I started pulling alcohol out of my life, how much better I felt.
00:15:53.800 But then as I would try to go back to alcohol, like let's say like on my birthday, I get fucking hammered or something, right?
00:16:02.000 The next three or four days, bro, I was so fucking mentally fucked that it made me like remember why I fucking stopped in the first place and how much better.
00:16:14.020 And so now like I've come to a mental understanding of how good it is and how much better I am without that in my life.
00:16:24.900 So that is, so it makes it easy to keep out of my life.
00:16:29.400 Like I've recognized and learned the lesson because I've tried to go back a few times and then I was aware enough because I had put the time in to earn that awareness.
00:16:38.160 That, you know, I could tell, I'm like, dude, this is fucking poison for me.
00:16:46.260 Right.
00:16:46.500 What's the common denominator?
00:16:47.680 It's that.
00:16:48.160 So the alcohol thing for me was a big deal.
00:16:50.260 Getting rid of that.
00:16:52.040 I see a lot of people who struggle with depression, dude.
00:16:55.360 And, you know, they're drinking consistently.
00:16:59.680 And dude, the depressive hangover after alcohol is not like the day you're hungover when you have a headache.
00:17:05.580 It's the fucking week after.
00:17:06.940 Right.
00:17:07.220 Those, those effects are long lasting.
00:17:09.940 And so like you may drink, you know, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and then by Tuesday or Wednesday, you feel a normal again, except you feel really low.
00:17:19.080 And then Thursday you feel really low and then you're using alcohol again to get back.
00:17:22.840 And it's the same thing with any of these recreational drugs with the exception of cannabis that I found, you know, that people do.
00:17:31.480 And it really fucks up their brains.
00:17:33.580 And some people are effectively, are still effective and they're happy and all that.
00:17:39.360 And I'm not judging anybody.
00:17:40.240 I'm just telling you my story.
00:17:42.480 Right.
00:17:44.280 Because I still fucking, you know, every once in a while, and this is another thing, even though I know it's bad.
00:17:49.360 And there's still times I do drink.
00:17:51.480 Yeah.
00:17:52.080 Because I'm a fucking idiot.
00:17:53.740 All right.
00:17:54.660 But the point is like sometimes, but I choose to do it.
00:17:57.880 Right.
00:17:58.240 Right.
00:17:58.360 You know?
00:17:58.680 Yeah.
00:17:58.880 And now I get the value from choosing to do it, from remembering why I don't do it.
00:18:04.180 But those times are maybe like, dude, it's, I, I just had my first two beers in over a year.
00:18:10.640 Right.
00:18:11.000 So that, if that gives, and I had two beers and I stopped.
00:18:13.300 So that was, if that gives you an idea of how frequent that is now.
00:18:16.360 And then what I was saying before is the discipline, purpose, and gratitude formula.
00:18:20.920 I run discipline because I run live hard.
00:18:22.920 I run, my goal is to complete live hard every single year until I die.
00:18:26.360 Uh, the first two years I fucking completed it third year.
00:18:29.360 I failed it when I had my injury.
00:18:31.040 Um, this year I'm going to fucking complete it.
00:18:34.200 Um, and, and that's, that's, I run that program at all times in my life.
00:18:38.640 I'm always on live hard program.
00:18:40.480 Um, and that's why it's called live hard, not fucking two weeks hard, whatever.
00:18:44.600 Right.
00:18:45.880 Two minutes hard.
00:18:46.720 Two minutes.
00:18:49.400 Couldn't resist.
00:18:50.780 Uh, but.
00:18:52.400 You know, then the other thing is like, if I still feel bad,
00:18:56.360 and I'm still having a rough time, I, I, I know now I've learned, I've taught my brain
00:19:01.360 to look at those two areas of, of gratitude and purpose.
00:19:05.140 Am I in line with my purpose?
00:19:06.800 Am I into my purpose?
00:19:08.240 Am I, am I giving what I can to RTA syndicate?
00:19:12.220 If my giving what I can to first form, am I giving what I can on the show?
00:19:16.140 You see what I'm saying?
00:19:17.300 Right.
00:19:17.780 Everywhere.
00:19:18.380 I'm, I'm looking, uh, on my other companies, you know, am I giving what I can to supplement
00:19:22.880 super stores?
00:19:23.500 Am I giving what I can to the guys I invest in, uh, at these other places that they, all
00:19:30.120 those things have purpose to me.
00:19:32.000 And the purpose for me, um, is that we serve our customers the best way possible.
00:19:38.800 We, we serve our employees the best way possible.
00:19:42.080 And then we also, uh, innovate in a way that we do things originally, you know, so that
00:19:48.700 we can help the business landscape.
00:19:51.000 So I have to remind myself of why I'm here.
00:19:54.820 I'm here to fucking change shit.
00:19:56.300 That's what I'm here to do.
00:19:57.160 I'm here to fucking change lives and other people's lives suffer when I don't show the
00:20:02.020 fuck up.
00:20:02.540 So I remind myself of that purpose.
00:20:05.540 Um, or I check my gratitude.
00:20:08.700 Like, am I taking shit for granted?
00:20:10.880 Like, and when I went, you know, so that when I get overwhelmed, it's one of those two things
00:20:16.240 that's fucking me up and I can usually fix that.
00:20:19.000 So real, real that shit back in.
00:20:20.580 Yeah, dude.
00:20:21.060 So like, there's a lot of work that goes into this to, to, and a lot of awareness that comes
00:20:26.660 from like thinking about it step by step.
00:20:29.880 But unfortunately for those people that do suffer with these things, I really think the
00:20:34.320 solution can be found in the formula I just gave if you commit to it, but I can't recommend
00:20:40.400 that as some sort of solution, but that's how I manage it.
00:20:44.140 So those are all the things I do, uh, to really keep my mind where it needs to be.
00:20:48.540 That's where, and you, you, you touched on something real quick, because I think, I think
00:20:51.880 it's very, very powerful.
00:20:52.800 The power to turn negativity into like fucking amazing production.
00:20:58.560 Oh yeah.
00:20:59.080 You know what I'm saying?
00:20:59.560 Like, can you, can you just touch a little bit more on that?
00:21:01.420 Like, I mean, yeah, that's tapping into the dark side, bro.
00:21:03.640 Like, look, we're all going to have fucking negativity.
00:21:05.520 We're all going to have people that fucking have shit to say about us.
00:21:09.060 We're all going to have, and by the way, fuck those people.
00:21:11.880 And, and, and, um, we're all going to have, you know, difficult fucking relationships
00:21:16.860 with people.
00:21:17.660 We're all bro getting humans coordinated together to live in a civilized way, especially
00:21:23.580 in business or success is extremely difficult.
00:21:26.700 You're dealing with all different kinds of backgrounds, all different kinds of life perspectives,
00:21:31.440 all different kinds of personalities, all different kinds of beliefs that come from
00:21:36.160 literal, you know, and I don't use this word as a negative way.
00:21:39.700 I'm just telling the truth, indoctrination of generations of thinking in a certain way.
00:21:44.720 Like, okay, that's what I'm dealing with when I fucking try to coordinate 400 motherfuckers
00:21:50.020 in here, right?
00:21:50.820 That's a fucking hard job.
00:21:52.800 So, um, you're going to have negativity all the time, right?
00:21:57.860 And if you don't use negativity, however it's presented, whether it's just things are hard
00:22:03.600 or whether someone's attacking you or whether things aren't going your way, um, you know,
00:22:07.960 and a lot of times when you think things aren't going your way, you're just being a bitch.
00:22:11.140 It's not the truth.
00:22:11.960 Uh, but let's just say, um, fucking sometimes, bro, you kind of got to make up stories about
00:22:19.200 shit to get yourself fucking pissed off.
00:22:21.180 If you operate this way, like, like for me, I fucking, the worst thing you could do to
00:22:26.780 me is fucking attack me, bro, because I'm like the fucking black hole of negative energy
00:22:31.680 that will turn it into a focused beam.
00:22:34.120 And I don't focus the beam on you.
00:22:36.360 I focus the beam where it needs to be focused, which is on my own shit.
00:22:40.780 And then I just beat you by getting so far ahead.
00:22:43.960 That's the whole thing.
00:22:45.220 So you have to take the negative energy wherever the fuck it comes.
00:22:49.000 And then you have to let that click you into a mode of action.
00:22:53.580 All right.
00:22:54.440 And you have to then focus the action on the right place and the right, like a lot of
00:22:59.120 people that they amateurs fucking destroy you.
00:23:01.760 Amateur motherfuckers getting these little pissing contests.
00:23:05.180 The professional fucking dark side operators like myself, they take all that shit and they
00:23:10.820 take it in and they get, they take it in little by little by little by little by little by little
00:23:15.120 by little.
00:23:15.580 And they get fucking so fucking infuriated and so hungry to fucking show you and shove
00:23:22.900 it down your motherfucking throat that they folk.
00:23:26.040 And these people are smart.
00:23:27.420 They focus it on their own projects and they focus it on their own success and they fucking
00:23:33.520 destroy you because you won't stop attacking.
00:23:36.400 Yeah.
00:23:36.880 You're just feeding it.
00:23:37.680 Yeah.
00:23:37.880 It's I personally, the way I'm wired, that's the most powerful fucking thing I have.
00:23:45.560 I've learned over the last decade, maybe five years to a decade to really switch from that
00:23:55.380 over to the purpose side of it, because the purpose side of it is definitely I feel healthier
00:24:01.580 whenever I'm operating from that place.
00:24:04.220 It's it's more enjoyable because it's positive.
00:24:06.640 Uh, but I definitely don't run as hard for that as I do when motherfuckers come at me
00:24:11.840 like it's just me and some people love to win and some people hate to lose and I'm a
00:24:18.000 fucking hate to lose person all the way.
00:24:19.960 So like, that's just me.
00:24:21.800 And I'm not saying bro, not everybody's like that, but everybody has negativity and you
00:24:27.160 have to take a little bit of that from the dark side and say, you know what, motherfucker,
00:24:31.260 fuck you.
00:24:31.720 And that's what, like, when I was saying I get take a personal about depression, that's
00:24:37.320 what I'm saying.
00:24:38.360 Yeah.
00:24:38.620 Like you like the depression is creating the negativity.
00:24:41.420 And then I'm saying, you know what?
00:24:42.900 And in that case, I'm pointing it right at that.
00:24:45.100 And I'm like, you know what?
00:24:45.880 Fuck you.
00:24:46.280 I'm going to fucking accomplish every motherfucking thing that I was supposed to do today.
00:24:50.300 You ain't.
00:24:50.920 You are going to have zero fucking effect on my life at all.
00:24:54.120 And it's out of spite.
00:24:54.960 And sometimes that's what it takes.
00:24:57.080 That's fucking.
00:24:58.040 Yeah.
00:24:58.760 Love it.
00:24:59.860 Love it.
00:25:00.480 Guys, you won't fucking hear that on the motherfucking talk shows my life.
00:25:04.120 OK, this is the real shit.
00:25:05.700 That's why we call it a real AF.
00:25:07.260 Yeah.
00:25:07.740 That's fucking 91 say.
00:25:11.160 Guru Ray.
00:25:12.000 No, I was going to say something else.
00:25:14.840 Guys, we want question number two.
00:25:16.460 Andy, question number two.
00:25:17.960 I'm starting a business and I was curious about building systems.
00:25:22.380 I heard you say in the past that eventually you should work on your business instead of
00:25:26.460 in your business.
00:25:27.800 What tips or advice do you have for me to get my employees to a point where the company
00:25:31.600 can operate at a high level, allowing me to work more on the business instead of being
00:25:35.680 in the trenches every day?
00:25:36.740 Oh, dude, that's a huge.
00:25:37.940 That's listen.
00:25:38.780 That person belongs in Artisan.
00:25:41.320 That's a massive involved question.
00:25:44.360 Top to bottom.
00:25:45.560 That fucking question I could talk about for a week.
00:25:49.100 OK, so that's how big that question is.
00:25:50.920 Um, the best thing you could do right now is to, uh, is to apply it to that fucking
00:25:57.020 group and get in it because there's tons of motherfuckers in it that can fucking answer
00:26:01.120 that question and help these people do this.
00:26:03.820 But my practical advice for right now is, uh, to create the systems that you need to create
00:26:08.720 is only part of the problem that you need to solve.
00:26:11.560 The other part is you need to define your mission.
00:26:13.680 You need to have a set of core values and you put it.
00:26:15.780 There's all kinds of these things that have to go in to creating the, the, the answer
00:26:21.060 that you're looking for.
00:26:22.240 You asked about systems.
00:26:23.980 That seems like the focus of the question.
00:26:25.980 So that's how I'm going to answer it.
00:26:27.780 Um, we started our systems on fucking literal pieces of paper that had no lines on it.
00:26:34.420 Then we moved to lined paper.
00:26:36.420 Right.
00:26:36.760 OK.
00:26:37.120 Right.
00:26:37.580 Um, that's a big step up.
00:26:38.900 Yeah.
00:26:39.040 Right.
00:26:39.300 It was a college rule or wide rule.
00:26:40.780 It was yellow notepad, legal pad.
00:26:43.120 Yeah.
00:26:43.480 All right.
00:26:43.840 And the reason we use legal pad is so we could go back and see the days before.
00:26:47.000 That's how fucking sophisticated our company was on the first day we opened.
00:26:51.580 Yeah.
00:26:51.760 We were so sophisticated on the first day that we opened that we literally used an actual
00:26:57.860 cash register.
00:26:59.100 And I'm not talking about these fucking POS systems where they fucking have the chip reader
00:27:04.680 of a fucking little scanner and they scan it.
00:27:06.920 I'm talking about you fucking put your fingers on the motherfucker and type the price in.
00:27:11.020 Right.
00:27:11.360 And you say fucking seven 99 ding and the fucking drawer opens like a place.
00:27:15.780 Like that's what the fuck we had in 1999, bro.
00:27:19.060 So we were living, this is a, listen, this is why I'm good at what I do because I built
00:27:24.900 successful shit in that era and I built real successful shit in this era.
00:27:29.440 OK.
00:27:30.220 I'm just tooting my own motherfucking horn.
00:27:32.280 Toot toot.
00:27:32.620 Toot toot, bitch.
00:27:33.680 All right.
00:27:34.640 But here's the thing.
00:27:36.820 Um, the systems, most business owners really feel like imposters when it comes to developing
00:27:45.580 the systems because there's not really anybody out there that shows you how to do it.
00:27:50.740 Um, there's companies that you can pay to consult you to do it, but they're too expensive
00:27:56.360 and you can't afford them.
00:27:57.860 Um, and the truth is you don't want those people anyway, because by hiring this shit
00:28:03.100 out, you steal a major lesson that you need to know in business, which is how to identify
00:28:08.140 holes in the system.
00:28:09.560 And the only way that you can identify holes in the system is if you build them from fucking
00:28:13.740 scratch.
00:28:14.260 Yeah.
00:28:14.580 All right.
00:28:15.000 Yourself.
00:28:15.880 So don't be afraid of where you start.
00:28:20.920 We did most of our shit on Excel.
00:28:22.980 OK.
00:28:23.380 And so what you need to do is you need to evaluate whatever the fuck you do.
00:28:27.140 OK.
00:28:27.520 Whether you're selling something or servicing something or whatever the process is, start
00:28:32.800 with what a successful transaction would look like.
00:28:35.440 Step to step by step by step by step and write out the conversation exactly how it would happen
00:28:41.820 if it was fucking perfect and start there.
00:28:44.720 So you could start with with literally having these fake conversations like sales scripts
00:28:51.200 to train employees on how to handle things.
00:28:54.680 And then, you know, as you get better, you'll you'll add little parts off of this.
00:28:59.440 So if the person says this, say this, right, says that, say this and you start to learn.
00:29:04.920 But here's what you can do better than the sales script and better than anything else to
00:29:11.020 bring this process as fast as possible is you can beat it into your motherfucking employee's
00:29:19.140 head because it's the fucking truth that if they just solve these motherfuckers problems
00:29:24.280 the best way possible, the business will grow and we'll have more transactions.
00:29:28.580 If you can get everybody on your team to buy into the idea that the more they help people,
00:29:34.060 the more money the business will bring in, that will speed up the process tremendously because
00:29:40.560 it's true.
00:29:41.220 Right.
00:29:41.800 When you solve people's fucking problems, they tell people about it.
00:29:45.760 When you go above and beyond, they tell people about it.
00:29:49.300 This is how businesses grow.
00:29:51.360 It's the only way they grow.
00:29:53.060 And really, it's the only way they continue to grow after the fucking new has worn off
00:29:57.960 of which happens to every brand, by the way.
00:30:01.260 OK, so you have to be the real motherfucking deal.
00:30:04.500 And the only way to get to become the real motherfucking deal is by starting from writing
00:30:08.960 out what you think ideal is and then teaching your people to simultaneously just do the right
00:30:15.680 thing.
00:30:15.980 If you don't know, fucking do what's right.
00:30:17.880 Right.
00:30:18.100 Like, do what you would want done to you.
00:30:19.980 If you teach them those two things from the start, now you're off and running and you
00:30:24.460 can build the systems back from there.
00:30:26.400 We're to the point now where, you know, bro, our systems are pretty fucking custom built.
00:30:33.380 You know, we got, but dude, some of our shit is still in Excel.
00:30:36.620 You know what I mean?
00:30:37.460 Um, so there's no right or wrong way to build these systems out, but you have to have them
00:30:46.460 if you're going to scale and you should start now and you should do it yourself because it'll
00:30:50.820 teach you the process, which then makes you better at standing in front of people and
00:30:56.060 teaching the fucking process, which you're going to have to do a gazillion times if you're
00:31:01.200 going to be successful.
00:31:02.000 All right, guys, our third and final question, Andy, question number three, uh, within the
00:31:07.760 next year, I will inherit a little over a million dollars worth of real estate.
00:31:12.500 I'm 34 currently, uh, have a normal job and I'm not the best when it comes to money.
00:31:17.620 What steps can I take to make sure I don't fuck this up and squander it all?
00:31:23.660 Nothing.
00:31:24.900 When you don't know what to do, do nothing until you know what to do.
00:31:29.920 Super valuable thing.
00:31:31.420 Okay.
00:31:32.560 Um, don't go out and fucking liquidate it.
00:31:37.740 Don't go out and spend money on shit.
00:31:39.660 Don't change fucking anything until you understand clearly what you want to do.
00:31:44.220 The best thing to do when you don't know what to do is to not do anything until you know
00:31:48.120 what to do.
00:31:49.180 All right.
00:31:49.820 It sounds so fucking simple, but it is that simple.
00:31:51.980 It is that simple.
00:31:53.300 People think that because big changes come or certain situations happen that they must react
00:31:59.500 immediately.
00:32:00.680 And in reality, that's just not true.
00:32:03.460 Sometimes you need to give yourself a minute.
00:32:05.840 Uh, sometimes you need to give yourself however long it takes.
00:32:09.320 Um, real estate, they're only making so much of it.
00:32:14.420 So that's good for you.
00:32:16.340 Uh, there's always going to be a limited supply.
00:32:18.320 It's good for you.
00:32:19.100 So it's a safe way just to fucking let it sit there until you know what the fuck to do
00:32:23.400 with it.
00:32:24.000 Do we see that happen all the time?
00:32:25.220 Like we're fucking like the, the, the, the athletes, the pro athletes, right?
00:32:28.260 I'm not going to sit here and tell, yeah, I'm not going to tell someone, you know, where
00:32:31.240 to take your money or what to do.
00:32:32.820 Like, I don't fucking know anything about you, bro.
00:32:34.460 Like, I don't know if this is the best thing that's ever going to happen to you, or I don't
00:32:37.540 know if this is the seed that's going to turn you into the next fucking Elon Musk.
00:32:40.660 I don't know shit.
00:32:41.980 Here's what I know.
00:32:42.980 You got a million dollars worth of real estate and they only make so much fucking real estate.
00:32:47.240 And if you don't know what to fucking do with that real estate, don't change shit
00:32:50.160 until you know what to do.
00:32:51.540 It's real fucking simple.
00:32:52.880 Yeah.
00:32:53.020 Where, when you, when you started like, like when your finances really started going up
00:32:57.560 Andy, like, did you, did it change how you had to handle the people around you?
00:33:01.840 Like what were, did the relationships change?
00:33:04.300 You know what I'm saying?
00:33:05.020 Like, I think there was a, there's a quote in the song I like.
00:33:07.140 It says, you know, the money changed the people around me faster than it changed me.
00:33:10.900 Do you have any like, like words of advice on that?
00:33:13.460 Did you see any of that change at all for you?
00:33:15.600 Yeah.
00:33:16.060 I mean, dude, look, people look at you completely different.
00:33:18.620 That's reality.
00:33:19.300 Yeah.
00:33:19.660 Um, you know, I, I don't have high expectations of people.
00:33:30.100 And I don't mean that in a negative way.
00:33:31.720 I mean that.
00:33:32.580 And I, I'm not a high maintenance person.
00:33:34.740 I'm okay on my own.
00:33:36.340 Um, I've been taking care of myself essentially since I was fucking probably 10 years old.
00:33:40.340 You know what I'm saying?
00:33:41.200 Yeah.
00:33:41.480 Do my own laundry fucking, you know, do like, I don't know, maybe 12.
00:33:45.500 I don't know, but like pretty early on I was doing my own shit and, um, I'm cool, like
00:33:52.080 on my own.
00:33:53.240 So like, you know, I don't expect a lot from other people.
00:33:58.600 Um, so like, I'm still cool with like people that I was cool with 20 years ago or fucking
00:34:04.100 whatever.
00:34:04.680 Right.
00:34:05.660 Um, but like, because I'm low maintenance, I don't put a lot into other relationships,
00:34:11.980 which makes people think that I'm a dick and it's, that's not the truth.
00:34:16.760 It's the truth is I just don't expect much.
00:34:19.300 So I don't do much.
00:34:21.440 And that's a, that's a thing I've tried to work on as like a friend that I've not been
00:34:25.740 good at my whole life.
00:34:27.320 Um, but yeah, dude, I mean, that probably has more to do with it than like me becoming
00:34:32.120 successful, um, financially.
00:34:34.580 Yeah.
00:34:35.080 But you know, that, so that's kind of a me problem.
00:34:37.920 That makes sense.
00:34:38.780 Um, but you know, yeah, people look at you different, but I mean, I mean, it's not fucking
00:34:47.700 worth not becoming it.
00:34:49.100 You know what I'm saying?
00:34:49.940 Like it's better to be that way than it is before.
00:34:52.820 Um, you know, like these motherfuckers make these rap songs about how everybody's fucking,
00:34:57.160 you know, no, everybody's fake.
00:35:00.480 Now motherfuckers were fake then.
00:35:02.400 Like, so like, you know, I think people generally have too high of expectations of other people
00:35:10.440 based upon how other people should treat them.
00:35:13.660 And when really it's, you're going to get what the fuck you get.
00:35:17.360 You got to accept it.
00:35:18.040 Yeah.
00:35:18.440 So like, you know, um, if you're an over giver and you're above the line of what most people
00:35:24.820 give, you're going to constantly feel disappointed.
00:35:26.700 You know what I'm saying?
00:35:28.160 Like that's real shit, right?
00:35:30.460 Yeah.
00:35:30.740 I mean, so like, dude, I don't put like, I don't expect like, dude, bro, like you have
00:35:36.760 a barbecue.
00:35:37.340 Do I really fucking give a fuck?
00:35:39.040 Like, am I really getting upset about it?
00:35:41.280 Like, like, like out there in the fucking real world, bro, people fucking like be mean
00:35:46.800 as fuck to each other over shit like that.
00:35:48.460 Like, I, it's just like, dude, you guys don't have enough to worry about or something enough
00:35:53.140 responsibility.
00:35:53.800 Like the shit that normal people get mad about.
00:35:55.840 I don't give a fuck about, you know what I'm saying?
00:35:58.560 Like, bro, if you guys all got together tonight and fucking drank beer and didn't call me,
00:36:02.980 I, I don't care.
00:36:04.520 Like would do no.
00:36:06.760 Tell the truth.
00:36:07.320 We're not giving a fuck.
00:36:08.040 No.
00:36:08.680 What would I say?
00:36:09.360 So you guys have fun.
00:36:10.220 Right.
00:36:10.840 Right.
00:36:11.160 Was it s'mores?
00:36:11.920 Yeah.
00:36:12.180 Like, yeah.
00:36:12.900 Right.
00:36:13.520 Cause we only do that shit in Missouri.
00:36:15.800 But my point is, is that fucking, you know, I, I just feel like people let shit bother
00:36:22.000 them that really shouldn't bother them.
00:36:24.560 And it causes a tremendous amount of anxiety and frustration in their lives.
00:36:29.140 Um, and I just think that's because the expectations are too high.
00:36:32.600 So I keep mine low.
00:36:33.740 I, we're all cool.
00:36:34.700 I'm cool with whoever like, bro, Hawk Newsome come on the show.
00:36:38.400 You disagree with every motherfucking thing.
00:36:39.800 I said, we're still cool.
00:36:41.480 We'll go eat.
00:36:42.080 Yeah.
00:36:42.860 You want to go shoot guns?
00:36:44.280 You want to fuck like, fuck, dude.
00:36:45.900 Like not each other.
00:36:47.140 I don't know.
00:36:47.760 That's just, that's just, no, dude, we're cool.
00:36:51.080 Yeah.
00:36:51.320 No, we are.
00:36:51.720 Hawk's got a good heart, bro.
00:36:53.260 Um, the, uh, but the point is, is that, you know, I just feel like everybody, I think
00:36:59.360 that could solve a lot of problems for people if they would just realize the reality again,
00:37:04.080 reality.
00:37:05.020 This is, I'm a realist, bro.
00:37:07.260 The reality of, of fucking relationships, bro.
00:37:09.860 Everybody's got their own life going on, man.
00:37:11.880 Like you can't get mad about every little fucking thing.
00:37:14.120 Like not every little fucking thing is some sort of personal insult to you, you know,
00:37:18.760 like, Oh, my feelings got, this is why I don't get offended.
00:37:21.260 Like I don't like, bro.
00:37:22.840 Oh, really?
00:37:23.440 You're that fucking ignorant to say this or that.
00:37:25.420 Right.
00:37:25.820 Okay.
00:37:26.260 I just go over here.
00:37:27.360 Like I don't fucking care.
00:37:29.360 Right.
00:37:29.760 Right.
00:37:29.920 And, and so like, I just see things for what the fuck they are, bro.
00:37:33.080 Um, but yeah, you're going to have people that try to like take from you or leverage you or
00:37:40.040 fucking threaten you, you know, and, and treat like there's those kinds of things too, but
00:37:45.000 still, again, um, those things are easy to handle when you're intelligent and you have
00:37:49.520 to be intelligent to get the money in the first place.
00:37:51.520 And like, it's hard for like dumb motherfuckers to try and fucking hurt you.
00:37:56.220 Right.
00:37:56.920 Um, so you're smart already.
00:37:59.240 I, you know, I, I don't know, man.
00:38:01.720 I just, I think a lot of people make too big of a deal out of it.
00:38:05.020 You know, like, Oh, these dudes are used to like me, but now they hate on me because
00:38:08.740 I'm successful.
00:38:10.000 Like what you talk, did they really, are you making it up?
00:38:13.440 Right.
00:38:14.000 Like, are they really saying the shit?
00:38:15.460 Because the truth of the matter is, bro, is that most of the fucking hater shit is ourselves.
00:38:20.900 It's ourselves making up fucking dialogue or stories about what people might say that
00:38:26.460 we don't know if they ever actually really said.
00:38:29.380 And then we tell ourselves that they feel a way that we don't know they feel.
00:38:33.840 So really, who's the fucking hater?
00:38:35.760 It's fucking you, dude.
00:38:37.600 It's you.
00:38:38.200 That's fucking real, man.
00:38:38.560 Yeah, you're the hater of yourself.
00:38:40.740 So like, if you become aware of that, you know, I, I, I don't know.
00:38:45.120 I, I think it's awesome to be a wealthy dude versus not being a wealthy dude.
00:38:49.080 Yeah.
00:38:49.400 No matter how the fuck people think about it.
00:38:51.420 Yeah.
00:38:51.760 That's fucking real.
00:38:52.120 So that's at the end of the day, that's how I feel.
00:38:53.800 Like, do people see you different?
00:38:54.920 Yeah.
00:38:55.080 Some people do.
00:38:56.320 Uh, how's it affect your life?
00:38:57.580 It doesn't.
00:38:58.160 Cause I don't fucking care.
00:38:59.780 Right.
00:39:00.780 Does that make sense?
00:39:01.600 I'm going to go to fucking Aruba.
00:39:03.240 Yeah.
00:39:04.720 I don't even think about it.
00:39:06.220 Like, so like these people are like, Oh, I don't.
00:39:08.040 I'm afraid of success.
00:39:09.440 Cause I'm afraid of bro.
00:39:10.840 You're a fucking fool.
00:39:12.000 Yeah.
00:39:12.560 Like your life will be infinitely better.
00:39:14.340 Like in every fucking way.
00:39:15.700 And not only that, the fucking friends that you had back then are still going to be cool
00:39:20.820 with you.
00:39:21.500 Like, like bro.
00:39:23.420 If they're your real friend.
00:39:24.600 Yeah.
00:39:24.940 And you should look at it as a good thing.
00:39:27.040 If you find out they're not right.
00:39:28.560 Because it thins the herd and you've got a fucking smaller circle.
00:39:31.220 That's better.
00:39:32.060 Dude, a smaller, better, higher quality friend circle beats a fucking Mr. Popularity all fucking
00:39:39.200 day.
00:39:39.780 Twice on Sundays.
00:39:40.940 100 man entourage.
00:39:42.480 Yeah, bro.
00:39:43.040 That's bullshit.
00:39:44.500 You know?
00:39:44.820 So I think it's, you know, and then the cool thing is though, is when you get to a certain
00:39:48.680 place, you make these newer friends, um, they have more in common with you.
00:39:54.520 You're able to work together and build together.
00:39:56.680 So this idea of like, you know, oh, it's success is such a lonely place.
00:40:02.800 That's always people who are either not successful and they're just saying the shit, right.
00:40:09.560 As an excuse, or it's people who are in the middle of those two spots and they haven't
00:40:14.300 figured out yet that they're in what I call no man's land.
00:40:17.740 Right.
00:40:17.820 Okay.
00:40:18.200 And that's the place between where you were and where you're going to go.
00:40:22.180 And you will go through those periods two or three times in your life.
00:40:24.960 If you keep going, because you'll outgrow your circle, um, because your interests will
00:40:29.700 be bigger.
00:40:30.060 Your dreams will be bigger.
00:40:31.180 It is just, it's just a different fucking way of life.
00:40:33.980 And you connect with other people.
00:40:36.300 Um, once you go through that a little bit, they have the same mission and drive and goals
00:40:41.100 that you have, and they become your new circle.
00:40:43.280 And then your new circle helps you build and you go on from there.
00:40:46.160 And that's how this social dynamic works.
00:40:48.140 So the only people that ever really say, Oh, it's fucking lonely at the top are motherfuckers
00:40:52.560 that ain't at the top.
00:40:53.680 Okay.
00:40:54.440 Or motherfuckers who are in between the first phase from where they started to the next
00:40:58.960 phase.
00:40:59.320 Because what everybody realizes eventually is that it's not lonely at the top.
00:41:04.060 It's actually pretty fucking cool.
00:41:05.720 It's fucking real, man.
00:41:06.900 So I love it.
00:41:08.500 The people, when, when I hear that shit, I'm like, I look at them and I'm like, all right,
