00:01:11.400 the news that we can we talk about the underlying problem and then tie it back to the solution which
00:01:17.160 always comes back to us that's why personal excellence is the ultimate rebellion sometimes
00:01:23.520 you tune in and we'll have real talk which is just five to 20 minutes of just a little speech i think
00:01:27.760 is relevant trying to share some info maybe kicking the ass a little bit most of those times i'm talking
00:01:33.340 to myself so don't take it too personal i struggle with the same things you all struggle with so a lot
00:01:39.020 of these times i'm just yelling at myself so don't take it personal uh then we have full length
00:01:43.300 episode full length episode is where we bring in uh someone who is doing well or has something
00:01:49.600 important to say or has a unique perspective we have a discussion and ultimately we uh break down
00:01:56.400 what makes them so amazing uh and we talk about how you have the same amazing shit inside of you and
00:02:03.000 then how to bring that out of you so uh yeah that's the whole concept of the show it's unlike other
00:02:08.740 shows um and we kind of just do what we fucking want here and guess what we can because it's us
00:02:14.120 so we have a fee for the show and the fee is to venmo me uh 400 per episode or or because let's face it
00:02:26.140 dude if you take one of these tips that i give you in this real af uh on the q and afs and you go
00:02:31.540 you're going to make 400 over the course of your life so it actually needs to be a little bit higher
00:02:35.160 yeah it's probably a little bit higher and i give out a lot of answers okay yeah so like
00:02:39.620 you know maybe it's like four grand i don't know but you gotta venmo it to me or you could just tell
00:02:45.980 someone about the show so that's your choices right and if you don't like you don't have to do either
00:02:50.340 one of those you can just tell me to fuck off plenty of people do i'm okay with that too all right
00:02:54.860 so what's going on dude man hey you know yeah not much were you about to get a plug no what were
00:03:02.480 you looking at huh no i was looking at my questions i got okay what's going on yeah not
00:03:06.380 much man chilling you're bitching about the weather man dude it is annoying what's what's so bad about
00:03:11.840 the weather well the pressure's starting to kick in a little bit oh it's dark but i noticed it out
00:03:16.000 there that was a protest going on but no it's just the weather because we're in fucking missouri
00:03:21.120 what's wrong with you no i'm just dude i hate it i need the blue skies bro bro you know what man i was
00:03:28.480 just talking to one of our guys who was in from arizona and we were talking about he
00:03:33.060 like it's not the cold it's not it's not anything it's the lack of sun dude like i don't know how
00:03:39.900 those people up in uh like washington and seattle and lasca bro yeah and like 24 hours like vancouver
00:03:45.960 canada like it's a beautiful place uh the most beautiful drive i've ever been on in my life was from
00:03:51.540 vancouver to whistler and um i just don't know how i like i love those places but when i'm there for
00:03:58.220 even a short amount of time uh it it you're drinking a fucking prime too bro i'm friends
00:04:05.020 with logan and jake paul okay um just so you know two of the guys here in the studio are drinking prime
00:04:10.920 uh that's good shit yeah the guys like it that's good shit yeah so if you're not drinking prime this
00:04:15.880 is your free plug for prime apparently it's pretty good shit that's good shit all right uh anyhow don't
00:04:21.480 taste like diabetes i guess that's good uh yeah i couldn't live up there bro i couldn't do it uh
00:04:29.200 like even when i'm there for four three four days it's like i start to get down you know what i'm
00:04:35.500 saying like i don't mind if it's three feet of snow outside i don't either the sun's out fucking sun
00:04:39.560 bro that's why i love it like out in colorado man like you go to colorado uh it's cold it's 19 degrees
00:04:46.140 there's fucking snow everywhere but it's sunny bro it's awesome it's also the best day drinking
00:04:51.060 the best day drinking the listen dude i'm gonna tell you this i'm i love breckenridge colorado yeah
00:04:56.900 like uh i love it like it's it's very far liberal like it's definitely like like i stick out there
00:05:03.340 all right they probably don't love me but i love breckenridge bro and my favorite thing about
00:05:08.580 breckenridge is sitting on the fucking patios during the day when it's 20 degrees out and the sun's
00:05:14.740 shining down and there's beer and you're there with your with your homies like bro it's just
00:05:20.380 huh good times yeah man it's just it's just awesome and uh you don't really drink too much anymore but
00:05:26.300 still dude like i need to get back out there yeah well you know i've never i've never been skiing or
00:05:31.980 anything like a shit like that really it's not too hard you figure it out just go to the top bro you
00:05:36.880 just go to the top and you fucking go down i mean i gotta get down somehow like every time you get
00:05:40.980 down without dying yeah you learn a little bit that's a win bro that's how i learned my dad you
00:05:45.380 gotta sell this shit when we were little kids we were like eight we went on these uh ski trips
00:05:50.100 and my dad would take us up the mountain and we fucking know how to ski yeah and he'd be like all
00:05:54.620 right see you at the bottom so dude the first time the first time he fucking took us up the mountain
00:06:00.440 i was dude i was always like very cautious like i wasn't as good of an athlete as sal is you know
00:06:05.940 i'm saying so like i was like a little bit less coordinated and uh i was very cautious and i was
00:06:12.180 i was shy i was a shy kid and so like i was uncertain of myself and i remember i remember the
00:06:17.100 fucking day like it was because it was a huge lesson in my life uh my dad i was like all right dad so
00:06:23.120 we're gonna go to ski school and he's like oh yeah ski school yep got you signed up it's like i'm so
00:06:28.500 so we're at the bottom of the lift i'm like all right well there's a ski school right there because
00:06:31.980 you can like see the ski school from the lift yeah at any reason i didn't know this the first
00:06:36.280 time ever we were at keystone and fucking uh he's like oh no there's another one up the top
00:06:41.160 knowing your dad this dude if we pulled him in here right now he's not here because he went to pick
00:06:46.000 up enzo from golf camp yeah but like bro if we pulled him in here right now this is 100% what he
00:06:51.300 did this is how he fucking raised me and sal bro this is why i'm not afraid to get my fucking ass
00:06:55.960 beat because i know i'm gonna get better yeah you know what i'm saying and uh my dad fucking he's
00:07:01.260 like oh yeah he's like don't worry there's another ski school up the top and it's an easy way down and
00:07:05.460 i'm like all right that sounds all right we get to the fucking top we get off the fucking lift no
00:07:09.740 ski like we both fall down you know because like the first time you're getting off a lift you fall
00:07:13.380 on your fucking face and uh you know i'm like wobbling around and shit and it was a good thing
00:07:18.620 because we knew how to ice skate so we picked it up quick it's very kind of a similar thing um
00:07:23.260 but anyhow uh he's like all right see you at the bottom and we're like and he fucking goes away and like
00:07:30.740 we're like at the top of the hill bro it took us like eight hours to get to the bottom
00:07:35.540 oh i was sore as fuck bro i can remember how fucking sore i was as a little you know how sore
00:07:39.860 you know how hard you gotta get your ass beat to be sore when you're eight yeah no shit you know
00:07:43.620 i'm saying like you have to like yeah like that's a beating fuck yeah and then i remember the next day
00:07:48.340 bro uh you know it instead of taking eight hours it took an hour and then on like the third day
00:07:53.280 we were going down blues and like that's how we learned how to do shit that was always how we learned
00:07:58.040 you gotta do it yeah and it's weird because society has now uh they don't allow kids to learn
00:08:04.940 like that it doesn't seem like you know i'm saying like you have to you have to go out and like fuck
00:08:10.320 up yeah you know that's how you get better you fall down you get better you fall down you get better
00:08:14.660 you get better you get better you fall down some more you get even met and that's how you have it's
00:08:19.140 really a great metaphor for how life works bro like you guys out there in business or you guys out
00:08:24.180 there uh whatever it is you're working on you know you're gonna fuck up you're gonna make mistakes
00:08:28.860 you're gonna fucking you know fall down and what do you do you learn you get better and the next time
00:08:35.800 you know you fall down you do the same thing you just keep doing it it's like it's like the most
00:08:40.220 simple concept and at some point in time we as humans lose the ability to do that and think about
00:08:48.980 this bro like you have a you have a little girl at home yeah that's just learning to really get
00:08:53.500 around yeah what if she had quit the first three times she fucking tried to walk what if you what
00:09:00.060 if any of you you motherfuckers listening yeah had quit the first three times you fell down or that
00:09:05.840 first time you fell down hit your head on the coffee table what if you had quit trying to walk yeah
00:09:10.660 yeah like that's life dude that's really what life is in every single aspect whether it be your
00:09:17.580 relationship whether it be your business whether it be your fitness your health whether it be your
00:09:23.000 mental development literally anything any of these your spirituality any of these things it's about
00:09:29.820 it's about learning you know being willing to try falling down and getting the fuck back up with your
00:09:37.140 lesson let me let me ask you this man because you know when you think about that right like what time
00:09:43.360 do you think the fucking people quit like learn like where do they lose that
00:09:47.280 i well i think it's because you know losing sucks nobody wants to lose so would you rather like i'm
00:09:55.780 just not even gonna fucking try because my fear of losing is is more than my nah dude we're bullied
00:10:00.620 into it i think yeah i think we're bullied into it you know at when you're a little kid you know
00:10:05.500 you're told oh you know what you could be an astronaut you could be a doctor you could be
00:10:10.560 president you could be the president right and you know you go around by the time like just say
00:10:16.020 you're in first grade right and you know you're in class and you're like i'm gonna be the president
00:10:20.840 now they're saying well the usa is evil right but uh a little different now yeah but like when i was a
00:10:25.940 kid like you know being a president was something you really aspired to be yeah and uh you know but
00:10:31.260 then take that into 12th grade right like and andy for selling 12th grade walks around the hallways
00:10:36.000 saying i could be president i could be president bro i get laughed out of school
00:10:41.220 they say you say no you need to be realistic yeah that's what they say bro my my fucking guidance
00:10:46.880 counselor fucking said that yeah yeah i went to take my act and he was like you know because i was
00:10:53.980 not a very good student because i i'm very practical minded like if i don't understand how something is
00:11:00.100 going to benefit me and i'm not interested in learning it i just can't learn it yeah so i have to be like
00:11:05.200 focused on the right shit i'm exactly those people that that school fails like i'm one of
00:11:11.320 those people school failed me yeah um it it hurt me more than it helped me that's the truth yeah
00:11:16.440 einstein has this famous quote bro like if you judge a uh judge a fish's ability to climb a tree
00:11:21.040 that holds life thinking it's stupid bro that's the that was that's me yeah that was me and i learned
00:11:26.180 the difference um when i went when i my first semester of college i went to st louis university
00:11:32.400 and uh i took a political science class and the only because i registered late i took like a third
00:11:37.880 level class okay and they just like plugged me into this class um that i was like not qualified to be
00:11:44.900 in i was the only fucking student that got an a and i was like after that i was like holy fuck
00:11:51.420 because i was interested in right right shockingly enough here i am talking about this shit but
00:11:57.340 anyhow my point to all of you with all of this is is don't be afraid to get your fucking face beat in
00:12:02.420 you know take your fucking knocks no matter how hard they come get the fuck up and keep moving get
00:12:07.960 better and that's it yeah okay and if you do that uh you know eventually you're going to end up being
00:12:13.720 the guy who's skiing moguls down to black diamonds you know wonder and people like how did you learn how
00:12:19.440 to do that and you're going to be the guy saying dude i fell my ass a hundred thousand times exactly
00:12:22.940 it's just how it goes i was that's what i was going to ask you though man because it's like you know
00:12:26.460 you learn from these mistakes and ultimately the goal is to have fewer and fewer of those
00:12:31.080 fucking mistakes right sure but you know being around with you and then meeting a lot of these
00:12:36.000 other successful people there's a common denominator that i found i want you to see if you can touch on
00:12:40.440 this a little bit but it's almost like you guys embrace that shit because those failures don't
00:12:45.080 happen as often anymore when they do come it's like fuck yeah man i got a fucking i got a chance a
00:12:49.520 real another chance well look dude none like look dude if you look at everything as an opportunity
00:12:55.900 to learn and improve your skill set no matter fucking what happens like dude when i got stabbed
00:13:00.360 in the fucking face like the first two years as you guys know uh especially the first year i was very
00:13:06.220 very negative i thought my life was over uh you know my face was disfigured i was at an important
00:13:12.600 time in my life with like you know socially yeah yeah like where i was just kind of learning about
00:13:17.300 girls for real you know i'm saying and women and shit like that and uh you know it my face is the
00:13:23.020 size of a grapefruit it fucks with you you know i'm saying like you but but once i figured out that
00:13:28.480 i started seeing it as um an asset right i saw it as okay well what the fuck is good about this what's
00:13:35.420 good about it what's good about it and you know the thing that ended up being good about it actually
00:13:41.500 kind of like made my whole life you know i was instantly recognizable people remembered me yeah
00:13:47.360 it taught me perspective that no matter how bad shit is it can always be worse when i talk to that
00:13:53.160 woman in the grocery store you know like that's um you know i talked to a woman in the grocery store
00:13:59.900 changed my life who who was completely burned from top to bottom uh the story can be heard on multiple
00:14:05.580 shows but you know i'm not going to tell it here because it's a long story but the point is
00:14:08.980 is that these hard fucking things that you are going through if you see them through the right
00:14:15.440 lens will actually end up making you and i think that's an important part and i noticed that from
00:14:20.480 every successful person that i talked to like when i talked to ed my editor bro yeah when i talked to
00:14:25.460 ed my let or you know i talked to sal or i talked to chris or i talked to any of these other guys who
00:14:30.760 own these other uh you know these companies and have done really well um you know fuck any any of these
00:14:36.360 guys you know uh jocko fucking goggins like they'll all rogan they'll all fucking tell you all of them
00:14:43.360 will tell you that the hardest times in their life is when they learn the most it's when they learn the
00:14:48.880 most about themselves it's when they learn the most about everybody else and it's when they learn the
00:14:52.700 most skills and then the job for you guys is just to stand back up and go apply the skills
00:14:56.660 yeah it's that simple that's real yeah so anyway so that's the show share the show guys yeah uh so
00:15:04.040 we got some questions yeah we do got some questions man i got some good ones for you um so let's get
00:15:08.540 through these man and uh question number one actually going right from that right just these hard times
00:15:12.840 andy you've stated uh before that you know you've been through three major uh hard economic times in
00:15:19.240 business yes okay so what are some things as business owners we should be considerate of and how can
00:15:24.780 we move forward through uh this economic hard time that we're going through right now what are some
00:15:28.920 things you took away from it well the first thing that you have to understand is that it's hard on
00:15:32.880 your customers and it's hard on your employees okay um when the cost of living is up like it is
00:15:38.500 and inflation's up the way it is that's like a double a financial impact right prices go up and your
00:15:44.520 money's worth less so it's very painful when you're when you're on a limited budget and a lot of people
00:15:49.900 who are uh you know down the path of success you don't feel it the same way that it's felt by your
00:15:55.400 employees or or your your customers and without your employees and without your customers bro you
00:16:00.100 don't have shit okay so don't forget that i'm not saying i'm not telling you what to do about that
00:16:04.540 but i'm saying you should make decisions with that in mind um secondly and every hard economic time
00:16:13.140 that i've gone through in my business uh that's where we grew the most okay and the reason we were able to
00:16:18.880 grow the most during those times is because everybody else panics and decides and this is
00:16:24.900 what they think all right and this works for you by the way um in your benefit they think oh shit the
00:16:31.840 sky is falling sky is falling sky is falling and most of these business owners are not seasoned
00:16:36.700 operators they don't know and what's your natural reaction when shit goes bad it's to go into your shell
00:16:42.900 right you go to protect but that disobeys the natural law of business which is you are either
00:16:48.720 growing or you are dying there is no there is no staying still so the idea of going into your shell
00:16:56.740 and staying where you are is not even a possibility on the chessboard of success because there's enough
00:17:04.620 other people that are still trying that you will naturally regress so you have to understand
00:17:09.460 that the best way to survive in these sort of times is to actually get aggressive okay and the way you get
00:17:17.360 aggressive is not by spending more money but it's by putting more intent behind what it is that you
00:17:23.540 do do a better job take care of your customers better invest more in things that are free but take
00:17:30.300 effort because those things pay off in your word of mouth strategy all right so that's free marketing
00:17:36.820 that you'll get from just that's just free shit you can do okay now with everybody else not playing
00:17:43.400 at hand and they're not getting aggressive they're actually pulling back that means there is tons
00:17:49.000 of opportunity for you to gobble up market okay now you may not be equipped monetarily to go out and
00:17:56.240 spend a lot of money on advertising so how do you do this you have to do guerrilla marketing these are
00:18:01.640 things like these are little things like you know doing free of free seminars uh going door to door
00:18:09.020 uh basically you have to get fucking creative okay you guys honestly are lazy as fuck yeah okay uh you guys
00:18:16.900 don't want to do the fucking shit that it really takes and you know the first fucking three years of my
00:18:21.900 business the only fucking marketing that we had was me going door to door and introducing myself and guess
00:18:28.320 what that did not only did it bring us people but it also taught me people skills so there was a double
00:18:34.820 benefit to doing this and a lot of you guys are so afraid of actually getting out and getting your
00:18:38.880 hands dirty that it keeps you from learning the skills that you need to know to win all right so
00:18:44.540 when it comes to these uh these these times where you know the economy's weak and people are buying less
00:18:52.620 uh because they can't they can't buy more it depends like there's no solid answer on this question
00:18:58.160 because i don't know what this person does because it's different for everyone but the best thing is is to
00:19:03.300 have the right mentality and the right mentality is to understand that there's a massive opportunity
00:19:07.440 for you to grow and to run through the recession and then come out the other side sprinting
00:19:13.220 okay um a lot of people also the reason opportunities come during these times is because a lot of people
00:19:19.840 are overextended financially they have to cut that off which creates opportunity for things like property
00:19:25.640 uh commercial or residential there's all kinds of things that happen in a recession
00:19:30.900 that when someone is positioned properly and they understand what's happening and how to net and
00:19:36.300 they have the courage to do it they actually come out the other side a big winner and i've been
00:19:40.340 fortunate enough um for that to be the case with our companies every single time we went through one of
00:19:45.480 these things uh the 2008 you know situation that happened a lot of you guys weren't old enough to
00:19:51.560 really understand but you know we we grew a hundred percent like five years in a row because we just got
00:19:57.560 really good at doing things that took effort that didn't take money and guess what those things we
00:20:04.400 learned during that time are still things that we try to live by the here today in our culture they
00:20:09.720 don't go away just because it's not raining no more yeah but you know and and obviously as you get bigger
00:20:14.220 you know it's harder to maintain that personal touch but i think for a big-ass company we do a pretty
00:20:19.320 fucking great job at it you know what i'm saying uh so but that didn't come from good times that came
00:20:26.120 from hard times right that came from the times when we fucking we didn't have shit and we had to get
00:20:30.960 creative so if you're going through a hard time right now you should be glad and you should be
00:20:36.040 asking yourself what skills is this going to teach me it'll serve me later not oh man you know what i'm
00:20:41.060 just going to write it out that's just an excuse for you to not do shit that's the truth and then those
00:20:46.720 are the same people that are telling stories five years from now saying oh yeah i had this business
00:20:51.380 but the economy got me recession got yeah and then there's still a guy there's a guy right next to him
00:20:55.860 who was also in business who's worth five times as much it's a fucking choice guys it's a choice
00:21:01.800 if you have it in your heart and you're willing to pay the fucking price you could push through
00:21:06.620 and you'll be better off for it that's what i'm going to do i would consider doing it as well
00:21:12.340 yeah let's walk around uh any question number two uh you we've talked uh especially i mean especially
00:21:20.040 recently about the idea this idea of humility right and your personal self as a business owner
00:21:26.280 how do you go about instilling and teaching your employees to practice humility and to be humble
00:21:31.360 well look man um i think people you know i think a lot of people misinterpret humility you know i
00:21:41.940 think it's it's framed the wrong way in culture it's framed like living a quiet little meek uh i'm a
00:21:48.200 nothing i own nothing i'm not successful um and people use that as an excuse a lot of people use
00:21:54.480 that as an excuse as to why they haven't executed well i don't need all that shit because i'm a humble
00:21:58.740 person right okay like that's not real bro you're not fooling anybody all right let's stop that shit
00:22:03.960 you could be humble and be successful and you could be humble and be not successful too um the real
00:22:10.480 humility is really not even about anything other than you understanding that there's always a long
00:22:17.300 way to go there's always more you can do and you're no better than any other single person on this
00:22:22.980 planet and you have the opportunity every single day to contribute to everything else and that's
00:22:28.720 actually the key to becoming financially successful too yeah because when you contribute to other
00:22:32.880 people they pay you money for it okay um that's how business works there's a big misunderstanding about
00:22:39.720 how business works they think it's the you have to take advantage of people um when you operate a
00:22:47.500 business you can't sustain a business in today's techno technological environment without being pretty
00:22:54.620 fucking good yeah okay are you gonna miss things sometimes yeah you know that's the reality you
00:23:01.380 learn and move forward but the point is is that consistently you have to deliver high value and you
00:23:07.340 have to be what you say you will or you won't survive you know this isn't 19 fucking 85 where there was no
00:23:13.940 fucking internet and it took two years for the word to get around that you sucked right it happens instant
00:23:18.860 now right okay so the only way you can really build a big company or build big financial success is
00:23:24.600 having the humility to learn how to be better and to take every situation that happens and learn from
00:23:30.660 it and move forward with that new skill okay our company at while i'm proud of what we've done so far
00:23:37.080 we're fucking we're a booger on the nose of companies like amazon right you know what i'm saying like
00:23:42.360 we're a booger to fucking nike like we're an annoyance we're not you know like we're still nothing
00:23:47.620 right right right like and people see where we are and they think oh i have a fucking bro if you
00:23:52.620 really know what i thought about what we're doing here i'm actually you know i'm in reality i'm proud
00:23:59.240 because i think we do a great job but you know as far as like how far along i am i'm embarrassed
00:24:04.200 we're not a lot further and that's that's not a that's not on everybody else that's on myself like i
00:24:10.300 think about all the time i wasted thinking i knew shit that i didn't know you know i think about all the
00:24:14.800 time i wasted uh thinking i was a big deal when i really wasn't yeah you see what i'm saying and
00:24:19.720 those are the kind of things where humility serves you humility doesn't serve you when you sit at home
00:24:24.680 and say i don't need to be successful because i'm humble that's bullshit that's society framing it that
00:24:31.940 way so you grow up to be a good little worker bee okay true humility is understanding how small of a
00:24:38.140 spec you are and understanding how insignificant you really are and still going at it every
00:24:44.880 fucking day as hard as you can because you know that it sets the standard for other people to follow
00:24:49.360 that will make their fucking life better that's humility yeah okay so you know as far as like tools
00:24:56.460 of teaching people humility i would i would say you're the teacher i would say you should be the
00:25:03.760 one preaching the message i said you should learn the most you can about humility and talk to your
00:25:08.920 team about it consistently about what it really means there is no hack to that yeah you have to
00:25:13.480 practice it you have to think about it you have to talk about it because without open conversation
00:25:18.380 i doubt very many people even thought about humility the way i think about humility in that percent
00:25:23.240 nah you see what i'm saying yeah but that but but whenever i say this in front of a thousand people
00:25:28.020 they're all right now in their head like holy shit yeah right so like dude you have to remember
00:25:31.980 people use humility as a shield to why they're better than you when you've become successful
00:25:38.840 you see what i'm saying you can't let that shit bother you bro no just be you can be super fucking
00:25:44.040 humble and and fucking winning the financial game yeah you know and plus i could tell you when you win
00:25:51.120 the financial game you could do a lot more really good shit for people so you know don't let the false
00:25:57.400 humility fucking get you clouded yeah you know what i'm saying like learn how it's learn how things
00:26:02.000 serve you learn uh how much more you need to know remind yourself how you know on the good times when
00:26:08.580 shit's really good and you're kicking ass try to remind yourself like i'm still a booger on somebody's
00:26:13.480 nose fuck yeah you know what i'm saying okay and is that conversation the same for like let's say you
00:26:17.580 know uh an established company that had you know hiring new people every fucking day and these new people
00:26:22.620 didn't go through you know the building blocks they didn't see the just yeah that's why that's
00:26:27.520 why you have to learn the concept like in depth and be able to talk to your people about it because
00:26:33.260 there is this shit isn't where the fuck is that written right right okay so you have to become the
00:26:39.640 teacher like this is a big problem with entrepreneurship in general like a lot of you
00:26:43.760 guys email in shit and you ask about like for hacks and tools and this and that bro if you just learn
00:26:49.720 the shit like in and out to where you could teach it you'll become the fucking expert on humility for
00:26:55.280 your whole team you know or whatever you want to talk about yeah you know they're like stop trying
00:27:00.400 to like stop trying to take somebody's info and feed it to your team you know like take andy for
00:27:06.560 sell is this yeah and then say hey guys i you know andy for sell is this instead what i want you to do
00:27:14.080 is to take the shit learn it and then teach it from your own voice to them because that's what's
00:27:19.000 really going to stick to them not you passing off uh you know like take ed my let's book and uh
00:27:25.080 absorb the information and learn it so good that you can teach it right and then teach it to your
00:27:30.820 fucking team and then if they want to read the book they can read the book right that's how you
00:27:35.380 should be doing it this whole thing of like you guys passing personal development shit from from the
00:27:41.920 author or the creator uh to your employees and like you you're missing a golden opportunity there
00:27:48.060 to become the teacher and the mentor and the leader just by you learning the information and
00:27:53.400 teaching it okay yeah people bro people miss big opportunity there and you you could credit those
00:27:59.980 people and say hey you know i learned this from this or i learned i try to do that as much as possible
00:28:03.680 but at the end of the day bro there's only so much shit out there and it's like a law like there's
00:28:09.520 there's there's the the the components of success are consistent and if you want to be and like a lot
00:28:16.680 of guys doing podcasts you guys should follow this rule too okay doing success coaching and all this
00:28:21.600 shit that some of you shouldn't even be doing but i'm gonna tell you how to be good at it at least
00:28:25.580 learn the information and teach it in your own voice you know what i'm saying try to quit trying to
00:28:30.540 quit missing the opportunity it's like a hack don't be verbatim yeah no bro it's like a hack it's like
00:28:36.120 okay well i don't want to really learn it myself so hey guys just read some emmy let's shit like
00:28:40.760 that's good they'll probably get better but they're going to get better than you and just
00:28:44.800 fucking leave you know there's not going to be a bond created there because you show them how to
00:28:50.360 improve because you understand the content so fucking well that's what you should be shooting for
00:28:55.500 that's real man that's real guys our third and final question uh andy question number three
00:29:01.920 uh you said before that you started and failed eight businesses before getting one business to
00:29:08.440 be successful uh how did you continue to believe that your business would be successful after 10
00:29:13.640 years of making almost nothing what was the difference uh with the business that took off
00:29:18.080 versus the other eight that failed what what was the biggest change for you there was only one
00:29:22.100 difference it was that i was at a point in my life where i had no other options that was the only
00:29:27.420 difference when i failed those eight businesses before they were you know baseball card shop
00:29:33.240 fucking lemonade stand like i'm talking basic shit light bulbs door to door like you know uh some other
00:29:40.460 things that you know we're we're not going to talk about you know i'm saying like just like just stupid
00:29:46.140 shit and um i was never successful at any of those things because um i and by the way that doesn't
00:29:57.300 mean drugs i'm just talking i want to clarify no cartel shit no it doesn't i wasn't i was a good kid
00:30:03.080 yeah okay my parents didn't i didn't you know did i smoke some weed yeah do i still smoke some weed
00:30:08.200 fuck yeah but i wasn't uh like i wouldn't sell that's not what i meant it's just other embarrassing
00:30:13.720 it's more embarrassing shit than anything else but anyhow um you know when i started
00:30:19.160 supplement super stores our first company with chris you know we were 19 years old and um
00:30:27.260 you know we were adults um all those other times you know i still was i could still go home at night
00:30:34.920 um and and so there was more i didn't really have an option okay and i really wasn't good at
00:30:43.460 school i didn't have any other interests than running businesses um i knew that was what i wanted
00:30:49.980 to do but i i guess dude i really think that's the only difference the difference was like i just
00:30:58.260 couldn't quit because i fucking couldn't quit you know what i'm saying and that's why i talk so much
00:31:02.880 about and i i try to maintain that mentality today like i try to remember like bro like i know this
00:31:10.380 sounds fucking stupid from where i'm coming from today but in my mind i tell myself every day i'm
00:31:17.420 like bro if you don't get out of bed and go fucking do your shit you're gonna be digging fucking ditches
00:31:21.940 which is absurd for me to say like it's absurd knowing where you yeah yeah from where i'm standing
00:31:27.580 now telling yourself you're gonna lose it all and i'm not disrespecting anybody to dig his ditches
00:31:31.480 because that's what i did before this right right right okay i just don't want to do it it's just
00:31:34.860 fucking hard you know what i'm saying yeah and and i'm kind of a pussy with that shit just being
00:31:39.520 real i don't like that kind of hard work yeah for real yeah like i did enough of it growing up yeah
00:31:44.580 you know i'm all very thankful for my my uh my parents um both of them for making me do things
00:31:50.800 that were hard like that but uh but yeah dude it's zero option mentality bro like if you if you adopt
00:31:56.760 that's what i talk about zero compromise zero options right these are things that you have to
00:32:03.100 implant in your brain like your back is against the fucking wall bro you know i'm saying so there
00:32:08.700 is no other choice for me like there is no other choice like when i talk about where we're gonna
00:32:12.720 go with first swarm there's no fucking i'm not there's no fucking options like that's what the
00:32:16.420 fuck we're doing yeah like we're doing that that's it and it will get there and no matter what comes in
00:32:23.440 front of that it doesn't matter because i'm gonna be here every day fucking doing it um and so is
00:32:28.180 everybody else here you know what i'm saying yeah and so whatever it is you do whether whether
00:32:34.380 it's you know you're on 75 hard or you're on some other program that requires discipline like a regular
00:32:40.400 diet or whatever fucking whatever for an iron man you're training for iron man you're fucking uh
00:32:44.620 you're you're fucking building a business you're you're building a podcast you're fucking uh i don't
00:32:50.100 know whatever it is the fuck you do right pick where it is you want to go and and make it a
00:32:56.520 non-negotiable thing like i'm this is what the fuck i'm doing yeah and then show up every day
00:33:00.820 with that same attitude like i'm doing this i'm doing this and that's that's you know that zero
00:33:06.920 options mentality that's part of the benefit of the live hard program you know which you can find for
00:33:12.340 free at uh uh episode 80 okay it's free but that's part of the benefit of what you learn through that
00:33:18.700 program is you learn like dude i have to fucking do this i have no fucking options or i fail yeah and bro
00:33:26.420 i'm not willing to accept failure i'm not so so in my life i'm not willing to accept going back to
00:33:31.840 dig ditches you understand yeah so so so in live hard the failure of the program is equivalent to me
00:33:39.360 going back and digging ditches in real life so i'm willing to show up every motherfucking day and do
00:33:44.340 whatever the fuck i gotta do okay learn every day whatever the fuck whatever whatever the fuck it
00:33:49.800 takes we are fucking getting there and that's in every project i take on that's why i don't invest
00:33:55.160 in a hundred different companies because i i can only operate one way and only have so much
00:33:59.540 bandwidth for that that's why i can only do so many projects you see what i'm saying right right
00:34:04.440 right dude it makes me think too because i feel like it's like once people give themselves a plan b
00:34:11.340 and put that safety net down right like no matter how big you thought out plan b plan b in your mind
00:34:17.680 it's plan b the problem with plan b bro and people get so upset when i say this but the problem with
00:34:24.520 plan b is that it gives you options and that's the problem yeah you cannot win at a big goal or a
00:34:32.320 difficult uh lifelong mission having options because it's going to get so fucking hard bro that you're
00:34:39.140 going to take it at some point yeah if you have one just to stop the pain that's right yeah there can
00:34:44.300 be no fucking options and people get so upset and they take it literally like oh well this guy's a
00:34:49.840 fucking idiot like of course you got to have this yeah coming from the motherfucker that took the
00:34:55.040 fucking plan b right right you know what i'm saying right like bro i'm just telling you shit's going to be
00:35:03.280 hard as fuck if you give yourself options of any other sort there's going to be a time where you want to
00:35:09.140 take them and that dude listen that reply that that that just so you know applies in every area
00:35:15.440 of your life in every single fucking area that's how you get where you want to go you remove the
00:35:22.640 other fucking options zero option mentality that's how we fucking get it fucking love it guys andy
00:35:29.620 that's three pay the fee yeah guys appreciate you guys love you guys talk to you next time
00:35:34.200 went from sleeping on the floor now my jewelry box froze fuck a bowl fuck a stove counted millions in
00:35:41.660 the cold bad bitch booted swole got her on bankroll can't fold doesn't know headshot case closed
00:35:48.880 you
