00:05:48.300 article reads, former Georgia gubernatorial candidate, Stacy Abrams is in Nigeria watching
00:05:55.720 the presidential elections as an international observer. Abrams who infamously cast doubt on
00:06:02.240 the 2018 gubernatorial election in the peach state, uh, spoke with Al Jazeera English on Saturday
00:06:08.660 and described her feelings on the election saying there was quote, strong enthusiasm at the polling
00:06:14.360 stations, uh, quote, despite a slow start, we have seen orderly lines. We have seen long lines
00:06:20.740 signaling strong enthusiasm, but we have also seen a great deal of cooperation and a very peaceful

00:17:56.640 conceded defeat in a stunning election Tuesday in America's third largest city after failing to
00:18:02.660 qualify for the spring runoff, former public school chief, Paul Vallis and cook County commissioner
00:18:07.980 Brandon Johnson, uh, are the top vote getters, uh, who now head into an April 4th runoff election
00:18:14.100 that will likely be fraught, uh, fraught with racial tensions and divisiveness. Um, uh, the article
00:18:20.480 continues Chicagoans haven't ousted an elected mayor in 40 years when Jane Byrne, Chicago's first female

00:19:19.800 who was a police commissioner, he, he, he stepped down as he, as he should be in jail. He should be in
00:19:25.240 jail. Um, and, uh, Brown said in his letter of resignation that he was going to be taking a job
00:19:30.500 at a personal injury law firm based in Texas. The Chicago Tribune reported, he says, quote,

00:22:39.620 different jurisdiction. They claim the guards were receiving orders from higher ups and were just
00:22:45.300 quote, doing what I'm told when confronted over the move. One inmate who spoke on the condition of
00:22:51.200 anonymity told dailymail.com, the guards didn't seem to care. They might be breaking the law. Uh,
00:22:57.160 he said, quote, I asked him being the guard, did you ask people first if they're registered to vote?
00:23:03.160 And he said, no, uh, quote, I said, but you should, because if I'm registered to vote somewhere else,
00:23:08.800 like I am, you're asking me and enticing me to vote, even though I'm registered somewhere else.
