REAL AF with Andy Frisella - 618. Real Talk： The Blueprint To Unlocking Your True Potential

00:00:00.000 what is up guys it's andy for selling this is the show for the realists say goodbye to the lies 0.98

00:00:21.080 the figness and delusions of modern society and welcome to motherfucking reality guys today we 0.94

00:00:26.240 have a real talk and as promised i have a big announcement before i have my announcement

00:00:31.580 with you guys um you know it's that time of year it's that time of year when everybody's talking

00:00:37.760 about what they're going to do next year and what they're going to become and what they're going to

00:00:41.760 achieve and how they're going to change and how they're going to do all these things that they

00:00:45.980 have failed at doing many previous years before this year and what makes you think that next year

00:00:55.520 is going to be any different what makes you think that when january 1st rolls around that all of a

00:01:01.960 sudden you're going to change everything about yourself and become this brand new version of

00:01:06.740 yourself haven't you told yourself this before haven't you told yourself this over and over and

00:01:13.980 over again how many mondays have you told yourself that you were going to start how many years have

00:01:20.940 you made the same resolutions that you failed to keep how many times have you had the conversation

00:01:26.380 when you say it's for real this time this time i mean it no seriously i mean it we're doing it this

00:01:32.160 time how many times have you told yourself that my guess is a lot and when you go look at yourself in

00:01:38.980 the mirror or you look at your life or you look at your bank account or you look at everything in

00:01:44.480 your life that you wish was different and you ask yourself why aren't things different i would like

00:01:51.600 to provide that answer to you today you have to understand that if you are to make a change in your

00:01:59.580 life you have to develop a very specific skill set and that is the skill set of discipline the ability

00:02:09.060 to adhere to a plan your problem is not that you don't know what to do that is nobody's problem

00:02:15.720 it's nobody's nobody with the amount of information that we have available to us is sitting around

00:02:22.700 wondering what the fuck they need to do you all understand that there is no secret you know what to do 0.84

00:02:32.280 to fix your body you know what to do to fix your relationships you know what to do to make more 0.99

00:02:39.200 money the problem is is that you're not able to do it and why can't you do it because for years and

00:02:48.800 years and years you have told yourself the same lie over and over and over again which is this

00:02:54.600 i lack the skills they have something that i don't have they were born with these traits that i

00:03:02.220 don't have that person just has it and i don't have it success comes easier for them none of which

00:03:09.900 are true the truth of the matter is this you've made some misjudgments and miscalculations or had

00:03:17.960 the misfortune of being told the wrong information and the correct information is all of these things

00:03:24.580 that you admire about other people their ability to stick to a plan their ability to follow through

00:03:30.380 their ability to build and create and become all of these things are within your ability as well

00:03:37.380 but it requires you intentionally developing those skill sets see i was like you guys for most of my

00:03:44.980 life for most of my life i looked around at everybody else and i thought why is it so easy for him

00:03:52.780 why can he show up and do all of these things and go out and win and why does it look so effortless when 0.50

00:03:59.980 i can't even get through a single fucking week without cheating on my diet or falling off my program 0.96

00:04:06.200 or going back to my old habits why can they do it and i can't they must have been born with this thing 0.96

00:04:12.180 they must have been gifted with a gift that i didn't receive and i lived a lot of my life that way

00:04:19.440 and it was frustrating and it made me bitter and it made me angry

00:04:24.300 but i met someone a number of years ago named james lawrence you guys might know him as the iron cowboy

00:04:35.260 when i met him he said something to me that made this click the key to winning the key to development

00:04:45.320 the key to progress is intentionally putting yourself in uncomfortable situations intentionally

00:04:51.580 putting yourself in uncomfortable and difficult situations why would you do that why would you

00:05:00.820 intentionally make things harder why would you intentionally make things more difficult because

00:05:07.180 when you make things more difficult intentionally you get the opportunity to gain the skill set that

00:05:14.980 is produced from the endurance through the difficult times and so i want you to realize

00:05:21.960 that as you make all these plans and as you make all these goals and as you say you're going to do this

00:05:28.740 and that and all these amazing things i want you to understand a couple things number one yes

00:05:36.120 it is possible you can do all those things you can become all those things your potential is actually

00:05:44.100 limitless but number two unless you develop the skill set of mental toughness unless you develop the

00:05:51.740 ability to adhere unless you develop the skill of discipline fortitude grit belief perseverance confidence

00:06:01.180 you will never do any of those things ever and you guys all know and you've heard of 75 hard and the live

00:06:13.080 hard program and this january 1st a little more than a week away from today there is a massive group of

00:06:21.700 people that are going to commit to changing this skill set within themselves and i am one of those people

00:06:30.740 and i hope that you will be as well because the reality is is that our dreams our desires our goals our

00:06:40.360 purpose our destiny is on the other side of the skill set of discipline and if we can develop the

00:06:48.000 discipline to adhere to a program to see things through when we can identify that the actual problem

00:06:55.160 that we all have is not that we don't know what to do but we lack the ability to actually do it now we're in

00:07:03.240 a position to actually go out and win we have identified the source problem we have identified the crack in

00:07:09.760 the foundation and we understand what we need to develop which brings me to my announcement

00:07:16.780 you guys know that i develop 75 hard and live hard and i've given it away for free i wrote a book it's on

00:07:25.880 my website called 75 hard a lot of you guys have read it but i've written another book and the book

00:07:35.640 is called the book on mental toughness and this is the book right here holding it in my hands

00:07:45.000 this is the book that includes the entire 75 hard program the entire live hard program

00:07:53.120 and a shit ton of case studies and information as to what mental toughness is and why you need it

00:08:02.720 and why it is the key to unlocking your true potential in your life and this book

00:08:10.820 is on pre-sale today you can go to my website andy for seller.com and you can order this book

00:08:19.500 you don't have to order it the program is still free you can get the program for free at episode 208

00:08:26.920 that's on the audio feed only that's not on youtube it was on audio only

00:08:34.860 now the reason i wrote this book is because i understand very clearly that the biggest thing

00:08:44.300 that we are all missing in our pursuit of excellence in the pursuit of our dreams

00:08:47.980 in the pursuit of our true destiny as human beings is the ability to adhere to the plans that we set out

00:08:54.440 for ourselves and like you i spent a lot of my life bitter and frustrated and angry that i did not

00:09:01.720 naturally have those skills some people do have those skills a little more naturally than others

00:09:06.600 but the reality is is that all the people that you witness all the people that you look at all the

00:09:12.220 people that you wish you were like have the skill of mental toughness and discipline they are able to

00:09:17.760 execute when they don't feel like it they are able to do the things they need to do when it is the last

00:09:23.540 thing that they want to do this is the magic you are missing this is the skill you are missing

00:09:29.700 this is the power you are missing and once you develop it you become unstoppable and it's my hope

00:09:37.100 that whether you buy the book or not that you will understand that the key to your entire 0.88

00:09:45.960 fucking existence and becoming who it is that you want to become is going to come down to your 0.94

00:09:53.240 commitment to become a mentally harder more disciplined individual i want that for you 0.99

00:10:00.520 i want that for all of you and whether you buy this book or not the information is still free

00:10:06.760 you can get most of the information in episode 208 on the audio feed or a lot of the other podcasts

00:10:14.080 that i've done but we have taken most of the relevant information that we can come up with and

00:10:18.600 we put it in this book that you can buy on my website right now you can pre-order it right now

00:10:23.820 will launch on january 1st it will begin shipping on january 2nd and i believe that you will love

00:10:28.740 this book i believe this is a book that you will not just use once but you will go back to over and

00:10:34.780 over and over again over the course of your life to help guide you and sharpen your blade so that you

00:10:40.760 can stay on top of your mental game and continue to execute and continue to win this is why i'm here

00:10:47.620 this is what i'm here to do and my hope is that you'll do your part when you guys think about what

00:10:56.680 it is that creates greatness and when you think about all the things that you wish you could be

00:11:02.040 and wish you were and wish you could become you have to understand that that requires effort from you

00:11:09.860 that requires you doing things intentionally that are going to make you uncomfortable that are going

00:11:17.040 to help develop skills that skills that you can then apply to any plan that you move forward one of

00:11:24.680 the things that you need to understand is that the live hard program 75 hard program is not the end

00:11:32.000 this is the beginning this is the boot camp this is the skill development program and you are to use

00:11:39.460 these skills on a different plan a lot of people think just doing this over and over and over again

00:11:46.260 is going to somehow get you there no it won't you are to take what you learn here and you are to apply

00:11:53.240 it to a life plan that you have thought out that you are committed to that you are dedicated to and this

00:12:00.100 program will give you the skills to follow that plan whatever that plan may be it doesn't have to be

00:12:06.100 the same path everybody walks it doesn't have to be the same journey that everybody goes on but no matter what

00:12:13.460 you pick for your journey no matter what you pick for your plan or your path for life you are going to

00:12:19.840 need to follow the plan and your ability to follow that plan or not follow that plan will determine your

00:12:27.340 outcome so remember no matter what your goals are no matter what your outcome is that you desire

00:12:35.020 if you cannot adhere and follow a plan day in and day out day in and day out day in and day out and

00:12:46.200 continue on that path

00:12:47.780 for much much much longer

00:12:52.720 past the time that it is fun past the time that you have excitement past the time that it is easy and

00:13:01.400 you have momentum if you can't continue on that path past those times you can't do anything in life

00:13:09.480 which is most people's problem

00:13:11.580 so guys when you set out at the beginning of this year make it your mission to sharpen those skills

00:13:21.920 make it your mission to become more disciplined make it your mission to become more mentally hardened

00:13:27.780 make it your mission to become someone who exemplifies what discipline actually is and what it looks like

00:13:35.880 and what it can build and what it can become because the reality is is the world is starving for examples of

00:13:42.820 excellence and it is our duty as individuals to be that example to be that light for the people that are coming

00:13:51.160 behind us and a lot of us are failing that and i say us because whether we win or lose is going to come

00:13:59.400 down to the collective winning or losing

00:14:01.840 this burden cannot be put on just certain people

00:14:07.560 this burden has to be carried by the collective

00:14:11.240 personal excellence is the ultimate rebellion

00:14:14.740 it is the way that we are going to fix what's going on in the world

00:14:18.460 it is the way that we are going to fix what's going on in our household

00:14:22.200 in our communities

00:14:23.460 in our cities

00:14:25.020 in our states

00:14:26.480 and in our country

00:14:27.540 and in the world

00:14:28.320 we must take that obligation and that duty seriously

00:14:33.440 and that starts with us

00:14:35.040 so guys

00:14:37.240 if you make one resolution this year

00:14:40.200 if you make one promise to yourself this year make it this

00:14:44.480 that you are going to solve the fundamental problem

00:14:48.460 that has kept you in this place of dissatisfaction for so long

00:14:52.300 you are going to address the core issue

00:14:55.380 and the core issue is that you lack the ability

00:14:59.180 to do things when you don't feel like doing them

00:15:05.080 and what i've given you for free in episode 208
