00:00:27.680 prolific manner thank you i'm humbled i'm grateful i'm thankful for all the love and support you guys 0.97

00:00:34.760 shared on my very first god bless this average home episode um you know one of the things that's

00:00:40.580 valuable or excuse me one of the things that's most important to me is making sure that my life

00:00:45.420 experience is able to create value for other people and it's it's through lessons it's through education

00:00:50.640 and understanding that the intangible asset the one that can be taught so that you can utilize

00:00:58.080 that asset to help better your life or maybe make a better decision with your day-to-day activity

00:01:02.900 that's what matters to me that's what makes that as long as i'm in that conversation at some point

00:01:08.780 in time understanding that i was able to bring you value teach you a lesson that's what's most

00:01:13.900 important to me and the share the love uh the support that you guys gave on my very first episode

00:01:19.660 of real talk i i just want to say thank you i appreciate it more than you'll ever know and i

00:01:24.920 hope i hope and the goal is to continue to bring you value in today's value i want to i want to i want

00:01:30.900 to share with you because it's there's two lessons that i want to bring you one's a personal lesson

00:01:34.980 one's a professional lesson but both of them are driven by the same fuel and that fuel is fear

00:01:41.400 and understanding that through fear is what everything you want in life that's where it

00:01:47.140 fucking resides it's through that that fear where most people will never walk they'll never face the

00:01:53.920 challenge they'll never step up to the plate and it's because they get anxiety it's because they 0.99

00:01:59.400 get scared it's because they get this little bitty phrase what if what if i fail what if they make fun

00:02:08.880 of me what if my friends don't like it what if they don't support me and i'm here to tell you

00:02:16.120 that it's not about what if it's about what if not what if you don't do it what if you don't chase

00:02:23.200 your dreams what if you don't stand up for yourself what if you do not step up to the plate and take

00:02:29.240 that challenge how much value are you going to be able to provide to your future family how much value

00:02:35.100 can you bring to your team how much value can you bring to your kids if you've never faced fear

00:02:42.420 yourself how do you expect to teach them how to face their biggest fears and understanding that in

00:02:47.540 life you break the mold through fear and why most people never become successful is because they're

00:02:54.400 afraid of the what if and that what if is driven by fear it's insecurity it's anxiety it's just flat out

00:03:00.760 being fucking scared and i'm going to share with you two experiences for me personally that have not 0.92

00:03:06.660 only shaped who i am it's shaped who i'll be it's shaped who my kids will be it's shaped what my 0.97

00:03:14.720 legacy will stand for it's shaped the leadership lessons that i've been able to teach the people

00:03:18.860 around me it's shaped my friendships it's shaped my marriage and that's simply standing in the face of

00:03:26.340 fear those two lessons are this one's personal and the personal one i'll share with you first

00:03:30.880 i was always able to get away with being i don't want to say in shape but i was a college athlete i

00:03:38.540 got drafted although it was like in the last pick of the last round of the mlb draft i was still 0.97

00:03:41.940 drafted i played professional sports believe it or not this fucking oompa loompa looking guy here 0.99

00:03:46.660 just kidding still handsome but that that i was always able because we trained so hard we were always in 0.97

00:03:53.260 a heat i was always in a weight room we were always doing something physical that i was always

00:03:57.140 able to kind of overcome my fat gene right and although i was always extremely extremely insecure

00:04:02.520 about it i never really had to face the fear because of the lifestyle that i lived but once i

00:04:08.420 got into the professional setting that lifestyle was no more and that fear and that anxiety and that

00:04:13.400 insecurity it's still there it was still there like i was i could never get away of man i never look

00:04:18.480 good in something i've never taken my shirt off and been proud of what looks back in the mirror no

00:04:21.920 matter how great of shape i've been in it i've always been afraid to take my shirt off at the 0.91

00:04:25.620 pool and i'm in the motherfucking fitness game think about that my whole life my whole life i 0.86

00:04:32.300 just went on vacation with my family i was nervous to take my shirt off at the beach with my own 0.99

00:04:35.880 fucking family but i know that that fear is something that i had to face if i was ever going 0.98

00:04:41.660 to share that lesson with other people and something that's important to me as i started on the front 0.99

00:04:46.660 end of this episode is my legacy my ability to help other people through their fears is

00:04:50.960 something that lights my fire it's something that i was driven to do i've always been and forever

00:04:56.160 will always be the person like i'll help you move i'll help you cut your grass i'll help take a tree

00:05:00.140 down like i love to help and i understood that that fear that anxiety my ability to help in that

00:05:07.920 fashion that was that was what i was meant to do i understood that if i was going to win at that

00:05:13.200 game that i had to go first and i had to take my shirt off i had to stand in front of the

00:05:19.080 internet i had to show them that i was scared shitless just like they are and it was through

00:05:24.320 that fear that i was able to shape who i am today was able to shape the people's lives that i've that

00:05:30.360 we as a company have been able to change all through just simply taking the first step and that first 0.77

00:05:35.400 step although it'd be the most scary insecure fucking afraid step i've ever had to take from a 0.93

00:05:40.540 personal standpoint in my entire life i look back as just simply facing that fear is one of the best 0.92

00:05:46.760 things that i ever chose to do because i chose to face that step i've been able to fulfill my own

00:05:53.340 narcissism my own drive by helping other people change their lives because i can look them in the

00:05:59.380 eyes and i can tell them what it's like to face that fear i can tell them what it's like to take

00:06:05.700 your shirt off and take a picture of yourself put it on the internet accept the challenge i can look

00:06:10.560 them in the eyeballs and i can speak to them i can speak to their soul because i speak fat like i

00:06:16.060 understand it no matter if you're a guy or girl like i understand that piece of life that insecurity 0.99

00:06:22.540 and i knew that i could help but i could only help them if i faced up and fucking took the challenge 0.94

00:06:27.580 myself and it was through that sense of fear facing that challenge of fear that i've been able to

00:06:33.340 reshape my career been able to reshape my life i've been able to reshape a message that i can teach

00:06:39.380 my children on how to overcome their fear so that they can fucking make the most of their life 0.89

00:06:44.340 my second lesson i want to teach you is a professional lesson one that we all have 0.96

00:06:49.560 thought of and you're probably thinking of if you listen to this show you've been in these shoes at 0.61

00:06:53.820 one point in time or the other and maybe you're in them right fucking now i was 28 years old i had 0.98

00:06:59.740 quote unquote life by the balls i worked for the arguably the best fortune 100 company in the planet 0.96

00:07:05.580 earth johnson and johnson i sold med device i had the job that all of my friends wanted they all chased 0.98

00:07:11.680 everybody thought i had the fucking gig and i did i made three four hundred thousand dollars i was 0.95

00:07:16.860 27 26 27 28 29 years old man i had life by the balls i had company car i had 401k i had retirement 0.99

00:07:24.020 i had expense account i did i did whatever i wanted whenever i wanted with whoever i wanted and i made a

00:07:30.300 lot of money doing it but what i realized is like i wasn't fulfilling what drove me like they tell you

00:07:38.100 these things that they tell you that you're helping these people change their life oh you're gonna have

00:07:42.740 the most lightweight mesh so you can help them live a comfortable life but like in my brain like i knew

00:07:47.440 man like that's not what fulfilled me i never met that human that human when i walked in they were on

00:07:51.900 a table they were knocked out like i was talking to the doctor and i was able to sell but i was ever

00:07:57.180 able to fulfill like what i loved about life which is helping people like i was never able to deliver

00:08:03.040 that product no matter how good i was at my job i couldn't fill that bucket

00:08:06.820 and i remember starting to have the conversations with andrew and chris about you know hey we're

00:08:12.800 going to start first form we're going to get it moving you know we're going to do this thing

00:08:16.320 together what and i remember the anxiety and the and the what ifs and i remember the drinking and

00:08:22.060 the nervousness and all these things that were built up in my brain because i was afraid because of 0.96

00:08:28.720 the fear that fear was only driven by one fucking question it's what if what if i fail 0.96

00:08:35.620 what if i don't succeed what if all my friends are right what if i have to go back and face him 0.98

00:08:43.400 listen to him tell me i told you so what if i had to do that but i understood and this is the one

00:08:50.700 thing that i'm i'm most thankful that my dad taught me is about competitiveness is you can use that for 0.99

00:08:55.080 you or against you and i learned to choose and i chose to use it for me he's like no no motherfucker 0.98

00:08:59.060 what if not that ain't gonna those words are not going to be spoken to me you're not going to tell 0.99

00:09:04.660 me i told you so i'm going to fucking tell it to you and in that face of adversity like i understood 0.98

00:09:09.340 that doesn't eliminate the fear it just gives you the fucking determination to continue to take 0.99

00:09:14.620 one fucking step at a time and just like a marathon it doesn't matter that you run it in two hours you 0.98

00:09:20.520 don't have to set the world record it simply matters that you ran it simply matters that you had the 0.99

00:09:26.120 courage to fucking step up to the starting line and put one motherfucking foot in front of the other 0.96

00:09:31.600 that's the fear you got to overcome and if you can learn to look at the mirror and respect the human 0.99

00:09:38.380 that looks back at you because you put in the work from overcoming the fear that's the feeling that you

00:09:43.360 want out of life you don't want you don't want to live the life that everybody else has you want to 0.99

00:09:48.760 live your fucking life and fucking write your story and that's only going to come through you 0.99

00:09:52.700 facing your fears and your fears are different than my fears but we all have them their insecurities 1.00

00:09:58.660 they're wrapped up in different blankets they have different disguises but we all fucking have them

00:10:03.220 i just chose to use mine for what fuels me so that i can go help people change their lives 0.96

00:10:08.900 and when i look about at taking that challenge that fear and facing it fucking head on i was able to 0.91

00:10:18.080 write on both sides personal and professional what my legacy is going to stand for the lessons that i'm 0.53

00:10:24.100 going to teach my kids the value that i want to provide to the world through building young men and

00:10:28.340 women young leaders and better brothers mothers sisters fathers husbands and helping them change 0.83

00:10:34.040 their their personal lives helping them just just knowing that my fucking positive message of facing that fear 0.98

00:10:41.200 could simply be the difference of whether that person decides to fucking take the challenge or not 0.97

00:10:47.260 just letting them know that it's okay to be vulnerable it's okay to be scared but it's not 0.98

00:10:53.320 okay to fucking not face it not okay to fucking not go after it it's not okay to fucking let somebody 0.99

00:11:00.740 else's what if dictate your fucking story you need to control that narrative by saying what if not 1.00

00:11:06.580 motherfucker understand that mediocre people don't like high achievers and high achievers don't like 1.00

00:11:13.480 mediocre people and what i mean by that is your ability to get outside your comfort zone makes 0.99

00:11:19.740 everybody else a little bit squirmy it makes them nervous makes them feel a little bit more mediocre

00:11:26.040 your what if thought that they're going to have about you cannot be controlled by somebody else's 0.83

00:11:32.800 mediocre thinking you're designed to be fucking great as humans we're designed to face adversity that's

00:11:39.620 our goal that's our mission that's what we're designed to do and if you're ever going to live 0.99

00:11:43.100 a life full of fucking of that fullness that completeness that respect that looks back at you 0.98

00:11:47.620 in the mirror it's only going to be earned through the fucking work of facing your fears that i promise 0.99

00:11:52.640 you and i don't share with you this lesson because it's like some hokey pokey bullshit up on the 0.99

00:11:57.800 internet i share with you this lesson because this is what has helped me most in my life taking that

00:12:03.540 challenge facing my fears both personal and professional they're the two things that have shaped who i am as a

00:12:08.580 human right now but for who i am as a human when i won't be here the lessons that they'll teach my kids

00:12:15.700 the lessons that they'll tell my family the lessons that'll be told about me in these walls 0.89

00:12:19.920 that's through facing the motherfucking fear and if you want those stories to be about you i suggest 1.00

00:12:24.780 that you saddle up you put one foot in front of the other and you start attacking your motherfucking 0.98

00:12:28.660 fears today and so i'm going to leave you with this this is the value this is the lesson whether you 0.98

00:12:34.540 choose to face it or not it's on you that's not on me i chose to face mine and it's the most proud

00:12:39.060 decisions that i've made in my entire life don't let the what ifs control your story don't let the

00:12:44.920 what if i fail what if they make fun of me don't let those control your narrative your job your 0.94

00:12:51.840 opportunity your obligation on this earth given by god is to make the best motherfucking life that you 0.98

00:12:58.080 have the best fucking life that you could possibly live is your obligation to the society and if you 0.99

00:13:04.360 want to be the best husband mother brother sister you're only going to get there if you learn to face 0.99

00:13:11.420 your fucking fears and that's it for today ladies and gentlemen i hope again my goal is to provide as 0.98

00:13:19.220 much value as physically possible and i hope that today made you think that's my goal my goal is to help 0.99
