00:00:00.000 What is up guys, you're listening to the MFCEO Project. I'm Andy, I'm your host, and I am
00:00:13.640 the motherfucking CEO. Today is Tuesday, and I'm actually recording this on a Tuesday, 0.98
00:00:18.440 the day that this will be published, which is unusual for us. Usually we record a few
00:00:23.960 days in advance. We actually had, I was traveling, we had a lot of meetings going on today, yesterday,
00:00:31.080 and tomorrow regarding a bunch of things that have to do with my quote unquote real businesses.
00:00:37.260 And we were going to say to just pass up on doing a podcast today and just pick right back up on
00:00:43.320 Thursday. But you know what? I woke up this morning thinking about something, and instead of going
00:00:48.640 right to the gym like I do when I wake up, I came here to record this podcast because I feel like
00:00:54.060 the message is very important. Yesterday, I made some posts on my Insta story, and if you're not
00:01:02.280 following me at Andy Fursella on Instagram, you should be because it's fucking cool. But 0.92
00:01:07.480 it got me thinking. I made some posts about some of the things I've been hearing about material things,
00:01:14.880 and I just want to hit on this. It's not going to be a long message. It's going to be something
00:01:18.260 real short, real sweet, and hopefully it'll unlock some freedom of thought for you.
00:01:29.180 I, when I was, I don't know, I guess in 2011, I bought my first Lamborghini, and I think maybe
00:01:39.840 it was 2011, 12. I can't remember exactly the year. I bought my first Lambo, and I used to
00:01:46.060 drive, and before that, I had an Aston Martin and an R8 and some other cool shit, but nobody in my 0.99
00:01:53.820 company ever knew that I owned it, and nobody, none of my friends ever knew that I owned that shit. 0.81
00:01:58.220 Like, I would literally park those cars in my garage, drive them, like, you know, when I went 0.99
00:02:04.540 and did my own personal stuff, I would never drive them to work. I would never tell them anybody I had
00:02:09.180 them. I would never show it to anybody, and the reason that I never did that was because
00:02:14.900 of society's pressure on material things. You know, I didn't want people to think that I was,
00:02:21.220 A, materialistic, or B, you know, some people think, like, when you drive a nice car, other people 0.98
00:02:27.840 think you're making too much money, so they won't support you, which is bullshit. I've learned that 0.98
00:02:32.280 from experience. I just was embarrassed, and I was ashamed in a weird way, and I know it doesn't
00:02:39.480 really make sense, that I had nice shit, and I want to cover that topic this morning with you guys 0.95
00:02:46.080 and how I see it now versus how I saw it then. You know, society's going to tell you guys that 0.86
00:02:54.520 there's something morally wrong with having material goals. I did a poll on my Insta story yesterday.
00:03:00.600 I said, hey, does material objects motivate you? Do those things make you motivated? And I said,
00:03:07.000 don't lie, because there's nothing wrong with having cool shit, and, you know, like, I think it was 0.99
00:03:11.960 like 80% to 20%. 80% said yes, 20% said no, but then I had a bunch of people DM me and comment on my 0.98
00:03:20.080 page that said, well, I voted no because I really want to make a difference, and I voted no because I
00:03:27.500 don't really want a Lamborghini, but I want a truck, and I voted no because I want to make an
00:03:32.600 impact, and I don't really care about material things, and I voted no because I want to have
00:03:37.580 experiences over material things. All right, well, let me cover those fucking points for you guys and 0.91
00:03:42.160 make it real fucking clear. There is nothing wrong with having material goals, and there is absolutely 0.97
00:03:48.640 nothing wrong with you using those material goals to be motivated, and there's nothing wrong about
00:03:55.280 sharing that with people, okay? Are there going to be people who think that that's wrong? Yes. Are there
00:04:01.160 going to be people who think they're too noble, quote-unquote, to admit that they are driven by having
00:04:07.160 material success? Yes, but I'm going to tell you right now, being successful is fucking hard, and 0.97
00:04:13.880 becoming financially to a point where you can afford those luxuries that whatever they are for you 0.51
00:04:19.660 is going to take every ounce of your energy that you possibly have, so why would you not use all the
00:04:27.680 fuel that you have in your heart? Why would you not admit to yourself what you really want? Because
00:04:33.500 there's a problem with this, guys. When you really want something materialistic, but you deny it publicly,
00:04:40.600 you don't say it, it makes it that much harder to get. It puts the energy out in the universe that says,
00:04:46.060 I don't really like material things, okay? You're sending conflicting messages, and when you send
00:04:51.900 that, it makes it that much more of a grind to get, so you have to understand that there are a number
00:04:57.540 of things about this that you need to understand, okay? Lots of people are going to tell you it's not
00:05:05.580 okay. Lots of people are going to tell you you're greedy. Lots of people are going to tell you you're
00:05:09.380 materialistic. Lots of people are going to tell you you have your priorities out of whack, but I'm going
00:05:14.140 to tell you that they are all full of shit. Notice that that never comes from somebody who's actually 1.00
00:05:19.600 successful. You don't ever see a guy living in the house that you want to live in, or driving the car
00:05:24.500 you want to drive, or wearing the watch you want to wear, saying, oh man, you know what? You're fucked 1.00
00:05:29.960 up for thinking those goals, do you? You only see the people who are unsuccessful in their own goals. 1.00
00:05:35.900 You only see the people who use their lack of success as a shield of nobility and try to twist
00:05:45.960 it into some sort of message like, oh, well, I could have those things, but you know, I choose not to 0.98
00:05:50.880 have bullshit. You couldn't fucking cut it, and now you're telling other people that they shouldn't do 0.99
00:05:55.180 it either. That's the truth, okay? So, and I get it. Some people aren't motivated by material things, 0.99
00:06:02.420 but let me explain something to you. People that say this, oh, well, I'm more motivated by making an
00:06:10.680 impact. I'm more motivated by having experiences. Well, motherfucker, have you ever driven a different
00:06:15.580 exotic car to work every fucking day and had the experience and the thrill and the happiness of 1.00
00:06:21.020 actually appreciating that car and seeing people drive by you with thumbs up, or every time you pull 0.99
00:06:26.660 up to the gas station, 20 little fucking kids come up and want to take pictures with your car and sit in 0.97
00:06:32.000 the car and then they ask you how you afforded the car and you tell them your story about working 0.99
00:06:36.520 hard and then they walk away saying, you know what? I'm going to fucking work hard. I'm going to do 0.99
00:06:41.040 that. I'm going to become successful. I'm going to work. That's exactly what happened to me. When I
00:06:46.940 was fucking eight years old, I saw a white Lamborghini Countach at a gas station and it fucking changed my 0.99
00:06:51.900 life. That's when I decided I was going to be successful. When I was fucking eight, because I saw 0.99
00:06:56.760 somebody who had the fucking balls to buck what society says and drive a fucking Lamborghini. 1.00
00:07:04.520 It's inspiring. It impacts people. It changes people. Okay. Your success is a message to the 1.00
00:07:12.680 world that says, Hey, you can do this too. Look what I did. It shows people it's possible. And you know
00:07:21.260 what doesn't, you know, what shows people nothing is possible. Somebody who walks around saying, Oh,
00:07:26.160 you shouldn't have material things. Material things are bad. They don't have good experiences.
00:07:30.560 I would tell you right now that having material success, A, it's very motivating. B, it's okay.
00:07:37.240 C, it impacts people in a way that you cannot possibly impact any other way.
00:07:42.580 So when you're trying to morally justify your success, remember this, there's going to be a lot
00:07:46.940 of people who see what you want to, you know, what you're accomplishing and what you do. And they
00:07:51.960 don't care what the fuck you say that you could preach success all fucking day long. 0.99
00:07:55.840 But people are going to look at what you do. And this brings me to another point. There's 0.99
00:08:01.160 big name entrepreneurs out there right now that a lot of you guys fucking follow that 0.98
00:08:05.400 say shit like, well, I don't like stuff and I don't need stuff and I don't want stuff. 0.99
00:08:10.260 But if you pay attention to those motherfuckers, snap stories, they're flying on private jets. 1.00
00:08:14.800 They live in a nice fucking house. They live, they have extravagant offices. They spend money 1.00
00:08:19.660 on all these other things that are material things. You don't need to fly on private jets.
00:08:25.980 You don't need to fucking live in a fucking $4 million fucking house. You don't need to 1.00
00:08:31.300 have extravagant offices. That's material shit too. And all these people who are telling 0.99
00:08:35.880 you, oh, well, it's not about the stuff. Well, I agree. It's not about the stuff, but the
00:08:40.960 stuff can be a very powerful motivator and a very powerful way to impact people if you utilize
00:08:48.340 it correctly. Now I'm not talking about all you fake motherfuckers out there who are 19 0.99
00:08:52.140 years old thinking you're a life coach, renting shit, trying to take pictures. I'm talking 1.00
00:08:56.700 about you people who are legit entrepreneurs, who are going to grow businesses, who are going
00:09:02.080 to find success and who are going to live the life they designed. All right. Maybe you don't
00:09:07.600 want to drive a Lambo and that's fine. Maybe you don't want to drive a Ferrari. That's fine.
00:09:12.420 Maybe you don't want to travel private. That's fine too. But what I'm saying is this,
00:09:17.420 whatever your goals are, no matter what they are, they're okay. Okay. It's okay for you to have
00:09:25.300 those goals. You have to figure out what motivates you. You have to figure out what, what is going
00:09:30.500 to give you that extra drive when you don't feel like doing it. And I read something, um, I read
00:09:37.160 something funny the other day that said, if you're doing it for the stuff, you don't have a fucking 0.99
00:09:42.480 chance. Or if you like the stuff, you don't have a fucking chance. Bullshit. I like the fucking 0.99
00:09:46.620 stuff. And you know what? I'm doing all right. So there you go. Motherfucker. Keep telling people 1.00
00:09:52.440 that fucking ain't okay to like stuff. No, it's fucking a perfectly. Okay. I love my stuff. I love 1.00
00:09:58.080 walking into my garage every day and having the first world problem of deciding which fucking car 0.99
00:10:02.880 I'm going to drive. You know what? You're going to have problems either way. You're going to have 0.99
00:10:07.960 fucking problems where you could pay your bills. You're going to have problems where, you know, 1.00
00:10:11.640 what are you going to eat? Or can I order this off the menu? Or you could have problems
00:10:16.220 like this. I don't know which fucking Lambo to drive today. I don't know if I want to drive 1.00
00:10:21.280 the fucking Aventador or if I want to drive the rolls, which problems would you rather 1.00
00:10:25.900 fucking have? Cause I could tell you all day, cause I've had both problems, which ones I'd 0.99
00:10:31.040 rather fucking have. And they're the ones I have now. So don't let people who are, uh, you 0.93
00:10:37.300 know, holier than thou or more noble or, you know, they try to be this extra good person
00:10:41.840 in public eye saying that they don't like stuff and you don't need stuff and you shouldn't 0.99
00:10:45.880 want stuff because that's bullshit. A, those people like stuff. B, it's okay for you to 0.99
00:10:51.260 like stuff too. And if that's what motivates you, if cars motivate you, if watches motivate
00:10:56.300 you, if houses motivate you, if vacations motivate you, that's fine. But realize that you
00:11:01.160 do not have to choose between material goals and experience goals like society's trying to
00:11:06.280 paint it. Oh, I'm all about impact. I'm all about experience. Motherfucker. There's lots
00:11:10.900 of impact experience that comes with fucking material shit. You don't have to pick between 0.99
00:11:15.360 the two. You can have both. All right. And let me tell you something. The only way to make
00:11:22.660 the money that you can make to have the material things that you want is to make an impact is
00:11:29.300 to create an awesome experience is to solve people's problems is to help people. That's the
00:11:34.940 only way you can make the money. So if you get to a point where you're able to afford this cool
00:11:40.060 shit that you secretly want, that you're too afraid to tell anybody that you want because society 0.99
00:11:43.960 fucking shits on it, I'm going to tell you that you're already making an impact, making a great 1.00
00:11:49.280 experience, solving problems and helping people because that's the only way to fucking make real 1.00
00:11:53.600 money these days. One comes from the other. Okay. And you don't see one motherfucker out there that 0.73
00:12:03.300 has all the material shit that is constantly fucking people over and screwing people nowadays. 1.00
00:12:07.600 It doesn't happen. If somebody can afford to drive a fucking Lambo, if somebody can afford to fucking 1.00
00:12:13.280 have 20 fucking exotic cars and live in a nice fucking house and fly private everywhere they want to 1.00
00:12:18.780 go and go on good vacations and do things for their friends, like bail them out of debt and fucking 1.00
00:12:23.780 help them get their life started. And I do all those things. Guess what? The reason I'm able to do all 0.89
00:12:29.660 those things is because I make an impact on the other side. I provide positive experience. I give
00:12:35.580 tremendous value and I solve fucking problems better than fucking anyone else in my, in my area. 1.00
00:12:42.460 That's why I'm able to do that shit. So quit thinking it's one or the other. Quit thinking that 1.00
00:12:48.340 you're a bad person for wanting material shit. Quit thinking that you're, there's something wrong 0.99
00:12:52.740 with your motivation. There's nothing wrong with your motivation. You know what's wrong? There's
00:12:56.980 something wrong with the people who are telling you there's something wrong with that motivation. 0.89
00:13:02.260 Anybody who's truly built something from zero to fucking whatever, not walking into a business 0.56
00:13:09.180 at X million dollars, not inheriting their mom's business. I'm talking about somebody who's built 0.94
00:13:14.160 something from scratch. You will never hear that motherfucker say to you, well, that you 1.00
00:13:19.120 shouldn't have that goal. You shouldn't have that. You shouldn't have, you shouldn't want material 1.00
00:13:22.700 things. That's not, that's not the right thing. You should be doing it because of this. You'll never
00:13:26.440 hear those persons say that. You know why? Because those motherfuckers know how hard it is.
00:13:30.560 And they know that you should use every fucking ounce of motivation that you possibly can 1.00
00:13:34.780 to get where you want to go. And they don't know that you even should use that. They know that 0.98
00:13:39.520 you're going to have to use that. They know that you are going to have to pull from every possible
00:13:45.540 area of motivation that you could possibly have, whether that be people telling you you can't, 0.95
00:13:50.820 whether it be the positive impact you're going to make, whether it be material shit, whether it be 0.53
00:13:55.220 the vacations you want to go on, the life you want to live, or the dreams you want to have.
00:13:59.640 All of those things are going to have to contribute to your motivation at some point or another.
00:14:04.840 You're going to have to pull from all of that. And anybody who's built something from zero to
00:14:10.640 success, wherever that success is that they can afford to live the life they want, they will tell
00:14:16.560 you, you are going to need all of those motivations. So don't hide your motivations because you think
00:14:25.040 other people that you may look up to on online shit on them or think, or don't think it's cool. 0.95
00:14:30.160 You're going to need those and there's nothing wrong with those. And remember, the only way you're 0.97
00:14:37.140 ever going to be able to afford those is if you make the impact with people, if you solve fucking 0.91
00:14:40.820 problems, if you help people, if you provide real value, it all goes together. So if you're doing 0.51
00:14:48.220 all those things, what's wrong with having material shit for yourself? Nothing. 0.98
00:14:51.800 You're going to be like, don't you?
00:14:52.640 No.
00:14:53.520 You're going to be like, don't you?
00:15:06.440 No.
00:15:06.760 No.
