00:00:11.420 motherfucking CEO guys today we have a good podcast it's gonna talk about a lot of things 0.68

00:00:18.600 that we deal with as entrepreneurs emotionally mentally and mindset wise before I get into that 0.97

00:00:25.740 before we start talking about that I want to let you know like I got some comments on my Instagram

00:00:33.420 yesterday from a couple loyal listeners that I respect their opinion very much that were

00:00:41.020 regarding us providing the next level of content and I want to address that really quick I don't

00:00:51.080 get fucking paid to do this so you guys aren't paying me and I'm giving you literally hundreds 0.92

00:00:58.040 of thousands of millions of dollars worth of information for fucking free I don't hold 0.99

00:01:02.920 anything back I'm not holding the secret sauce from you uh I'm not you know keeping the the whatever 0.98

00:01:11.760 the secret recipe is for myself I'm telling you the facts and there's very few fucking people out there 0.74

00:01:18.160 that do this I would say I know of one other guy who does this and doesn't ask for it his name is

00:01:23.880 Gary V uh he gives out a ton of information for free both of us have our own perspectives on how

00:01:29.720 we operate and what we've done and if you go through the content that both of us have produced over the 0.79

00:01:35.480 last couple years you are likely going to find the fucking answer to your question okay we've covered 0.95

00:01:41.740 marketing we've covered sales we've covered culture we've covered uh you know retention we've covered how 0.99

00:01:47.680 to start a business I've had guests on here that have started a business from zero to fucking 0.95

00:01:51.960 literally hundreds of millions of dollars what the fuck else can I do for you and I'm asking that 0.92

00:01:58.200 legitimately because it really bothered me to get that comment that said hey I'm waiting for you to 0.94

00:02:04.320 get to the next level of content and uh your content's getting repetitive that fucking irritated me 0.95

00:02:11.420 because I felt like what I was getting asked for was the secret you know I went ask this person three

00:02:18.580 different times in the comments what do you want from me what do you want what do you want well here 0.99

00:02:23.660 guess what tell me what the fuck you want if you have a question I'll answer it but I'm telling you 0.99

00:02:29.660 that if you listen to the podcast from episode one to episode now 133 which is literally fucking 0.98

00:02:37.020 a thousand hours worth of fucking content you will find the answer and this is part of what we want to 0.98

00:02:44.300 talk about today is the mentality that there's some sort of thing that you don't fucking know 0.98

00:02:52.540 look man when I started in business I didn't have fucking google I didn't have all these resources I 0.76

00:03:01.280 couldn't connect with people on the internet or follow people or see what other people were doing 0.98

00:03:06.360 I had books I had people I knew personally but that was it you know you guys are so fucking equipped 1.00

00:03:13.940 to succeed in today's society and yet you still sit there with your hand under your fucking ass 1.00

00:03:22.400 and look for somebody to guide you all the way what else could somebody like me or somebody like Gary 1.00

00:03:29.060 fucking do for you do you want me to come to your fucking house and hold your fucking hand 1.00

00:03:33.920 and take you along the journey for you because I'm gonna tell you I'm not fucking doing that I'm 1.00

00:03:39.760 busy running my own shit I've got my own fucking family here to take care of and when I say family 0.98

00:03:44.760 I mean 130 employees I have to worry about their welfare so don't come at me and say oh I'm waiting 1.00

00:03:51.600 for the next level content because there isn't any next level content motherfucker there's the 0.98

00:03:56.660 fucking way it is and business is not complicated it's very fucking simple and I've told you the truth 0.98

00:04:02.920 from episode one to 133 business is fucking simple that doesn't mean it's easy but it's fucking simple 0.98

00:04:10.220 and if you master the simple things you could become very fucking successful the reason you 0.99

00:04:15.540 motherfuckers don't build any success it's because you're always looking for the more complicated way 1.00

00:04:20.320 to do something you're always looking for the secret you're always looking for that thing that we know 1.00

00:04:25.180 that you don't and I'm telling you that thing doesn't fucking exist the thing that you need to do 0.98

00:04:31.480 is go out and fucking do it that's the secret and you guys spend so much fucking time commenting and 1.00

00:04:40.860 emailing and saying this dumb fucking shit like we're going to the next level the fuck is the next 1.00

00:04:46.000 level motherfucker what am I telling you that you don't fucking that I haven't told you I'm sorry I'm not 1.00

00:04:51.680 going to give you forex bullshit tips or trading penny stocks because that's not what I fucking do 1.00

00:04:56.380 there's plenty of people on the internet that'll charge you five thousand dollars for some bullshit 0.99

00:05:01.120 program and fucking teach you how to trade fucking stocks I'm not a stock trader I build companies 1.00

00:05:07.660 get it so stop fucking telling me that you're not getting the information that you if you don't like 1.00

00:05:13.300 what we're giving you go fucking listen to someone else period if you have a legit suggestion please 0.99

00:05:21.140 let me know leave it in the comment on instagram fucking comment me on facebook message me the easiest 0.99

00:05:29.060 way for me to know what the fuck you want is to for you to leave a comment on my instagram and say hey 0.99

00:05:35.020 andy I would really like it if you guys would address this question if you guys did that I would be happy 0.98

00:05:40.300 to tackle anything that you fucking give me and I'm confident that I can give you a sufficient

00:05:44.940 answer now with that being said why don't we create Vaughn I'm pointing at Vaughn an email address 0.93

00:05:54.360 people can email just for topic ideas or questions we'll just call it questions at mfceo can we do that

00:06:01.360 right well we we actually have ask andy and I guess most people don't realize that that's really what

00:06:06.180 that's for okay let's let's start a new one I'm gonna start a new one yeah because that one gets 0.99

00:06:10.040 all kinds of will you invest in me or you fucking lend me this look motherfucker I'm not giving you 0.99

00:06:15.020 no money right I'm not investing your fucking idea I'm not investing your fucking app I'm not an angel 1.00

00:06:20.460 investor like every motherfucker on the internet tries to claim they are that's not me okay I fucking 1.00

00:06:26.600 keep my money I spend it on fucking cars I'll spend it on you can I have some no you get too much 1.00

00:06:34.020 anyway but dude we can do questions don't fucking hit me up asking me we're gonna start questions 0.99

00:06:41.500 questions at the mfco.com yeah if you have a topic idea or a question that you would like addressed

00:06:48.580 email it if you write in hey lend me some fucking money or invest in my app or invest in this we're 0.98

00:06:55.600 gonna fucking block you from the email list right because I don't fucking do that right go out and 0.98

00:07:00.000 make your own fucking money another thing I have to tell people is that if you want your question 0.98

00:07:05.540 answered just put it in the subject line and don't or at least a summary of it right and don't don't 0.99

00:07:12.160 take a page and a half to ask your question no I don't need to know your whole fucking story I 0.93

00:07:16.680 appreciate your life story but guess what I'm not gonna fucking read it period that's the thing okay 0.99

00:07:22.320 put your fucking question in a fucking one or two sentence three sentence fucking format and we'll 0.99

00:07:28.300 answer it but if you write some fucking five page email I'm not fucking looking at it you know why 1.00

00:07:34.400 because I don't have fucking time to do that that's reality and all these other motherfuckers on the 0.99

00:07:38.520 internet all these other motherfuckers on the internet talk about empathy and I listen and I read all your 1.00

00:07:43.240 shit bull fucking shit they do they don't read all your shit they got a fucking assistant or two 1.00

00:07:48.440 assistants that read your shit and fucking comment back and pretend they're that person and that's not 1.00

00:07:53.080 what I'm gonna do so I'm just sorry make a short sweet and I'll fucking answer if you take a long 0.99

00:07:59.800 time you're gonna get fucking ignored that's just that's the way it goes let me just add that there's 0.99

00:08:05.740 a huge difference between repetition and reinforcement look dude here's the thing these motherfuckers want 1.00

00:08:12.000 the fucking secret they want the fucking secret sauce the business is the fucking basic shit 1.00

00:08:18.260 mastered over and over and over and over and over and over and over again reinforcement yes and every 1.00

00:08:24.580 single time we have new what you guys have to realize is that you guys who have been listening from day

00:08:30.000 one we have new people that come into this podcast at episode 133 or episode 100 or episode 90 and some

00:08:37.220 of the things are gonna fucking overlap that's the nature of a podcast you know why they overlap Vaughn 0.89

00:08:42.640 because there isn't that much shit to talk about it's really fucking simple it's mastery of those 0.92

00:08:48.240 concepts that's difficult go read all Tony Robbins books they're all the same they're just 0.99

00:08:55.220 reworded in a different way you know why because there is no new shit it's the same shit over and 0.99

00:09:00.940 over and over and over again and you guys who are looking for this fucking simple answer you're never 0.99

00:09:06.060 gonna fucking get it you know I get so worn out by people like I'm getting into one of my funks again 0.99

00:09:12.240 why don't you want to fucking do this show because people irritate the fuck out of me on their lack 0.99

00:09:18.180 of fucking initiative and real drive to do things instead they want to write emails and connect 0.99

00:09:24.220 and get attention you know and like like like it matters if I like your fucking comment really like 0.99

00:09:30.820 I'm nobody I'm a dude who's made some fucking money who's trying to tell you how to make some money 0.99

00:09:34.460 don't try to get my attention why don't you go out and make me get make you get my attention 0.99

00:09:39.720 by what you fucking do you know I'm saying like dude it's old I'm getting fucking tired of it you 1.00

00:09:46.520 guys can quit being fucking little delicate pussies and go out and fucking conquer shit instead of 1.00

00:09:51.240 talking about it or emailing me another question you don't need me to answer another fucking question 1.00

00:09:55.760 if you listen to the podcast from fucking one to one thirty three you can fucking go out and build 0.99

00:10:01.500 anything period you're just choosing not to or you didn't fucking listen or you're not listening 0.97

00:10:06.840 enough because there's nothing that there's nothing excluded it's just the way it is as always guys 0.93

00:10:14.780 I'm joined by my fucking co-host Vaughn the Impaler what's up dude it's good to be with you man yeah

00:10:21.000 sorry to get that off my chest man no no I feel you I I uh I think that if if people can say 0.97

00:10:26.960 well I'm just waiting for new information well it's funny that I fucking asked the guy three times

00:10:31.480 and he couldn't fucking answer me back right what he wanted right but you know if people can say well 0.92

00:10:35.280 I'm just waiting for that key information I'm waiting for that special sauce then they can delay 0.94

00:10:39.760 action and it gives them an excuse and so yeah no I absolutely agree oh it's my fault I'm not giving 0.99

00:10:45.080 you the information okay motherfucker you know how much money I make a fucking hour like just my time 0.98

00:10:50.600 right like it's insane you know like and I don't I'm not apologizing for that because I earn it 1.00

00:10:55.600 but like dude for me to sit down and do this shit for fucking free and have people say that to me 0.99

00:11:00.140 it makes me want to knock their fucking teeth out of their head right like for real no I know like 0.99

00:11:05.560 it's so fucking it's so fucking unappreciative and like just you know like I don't even I don't 0.99

00:11:11.840 think he meant it that way but that's how it comes across to me you know what I'm saying yeah like 0.99

00:11:15.940 dude what what the fuck else do you want from me like I'm doing more than fucking anybody like dude 0.99

00:11:22.200 Gary Gary would I would say Gary and I are only two people out there doing this everybody else is 0.99

00:11:28.700 charging you a bunch of fucking money you know and like dude I am gonna start some courses and I am 0.94

00:11:34.000 gonna make some money but as for right now I've done all this shit for fucking free so you know if 1.00

00:11:39.960 you want like micro detail hold your hand shit I'll happy to run through but I'm gonna get fucking paid 0.99

00:11:44.740 for it there's nothing wrong with that because dude I have fucking millions and millions and millions 0.99

00:11:48.940 and millions of dollars of education in my fucking brain that is worth something right I just think 0.95

00:11:56.260 most people I use the analogy most people are reservoirs they just want more and more and more 0.99

00:12:00.460 information and all that water does is it just it just rises and rises and just sits there and does

00:12:06.300 nothing whereas really truly successful people are like a river yeah the rivers the the information

00:12:11.720 comes in and it flows and it goes out in a particular direction and I just think again it's people just

00:12:18.140 want more and more information they want they want to provide themselves with excuse they want to 1.00

00:12:22.100 pretend to be a fucking entrepreneur right these are the same motherfuckers that you know you know 0.99

00:12:27.380 maybe maybe I don't know maybe I'm wrong but like I feel like they it's people that pretend they want 1.00

00:12:32.460 it they want to put entrepreneur in their fucking profile and right you know and really what that 0.98

00:12:37.160 means is unemployed you know what I'm saying like right it's just like dude go out and fucking do it 0.98

00:12:43.700 right like it really is that simple right have you ever heard that story like dude do you know 0.96

00:12:48.300 what do you know how fucking much money I would make or made have made had I like let's say I 0.75

00:12:54.180 started right now in business at 19 years like back when I was 19 all right let's say that was now 0.97

00:13:01.240 today in 2017 do you know how fucking much money I would have made already in my life it would be 0.90

00:13:07.340 10 fucking fold what I've already made 10 fucking fold because dude I did not have the information 0.97

00:13:14.020 I didn't have fucking Google I didn't have people I could follow on the fucking internet guess what the 1.00

00:13:19.620 internet was just being born social media didn't fucking exist and these motherfuckers cry about 1.00

00:13:25.680 fucking not getting enough information no you should be crying because you're too big of a bitch to go out 1.00

00:13:31.040 fucking act on it that's your fucking problem how did people back in the fucking 60s build businesses 1.00

00:13:37.500 or in the in the 80s you know what do they do do they reach out to write do they they write a million 1.00

00:13:43.200 letters to someone until finally they figured it out and went out and worked like dude you either just

00:13:48.300 do it or you don't fucking do it right and that's what you have to look yourself in the mirror for 1.00

00:13:52.420 you know like if you're an entrepreneur a real entrepreneur you go out and you fucking do shit 0.99

00:13:59.700 do you study do you read do you learn absolutely but at the end of the day you spend a lot more time 1.00

00:14:06.020 doing the shit you're doing than listening to motherfuckers like me get it absolutely got it 0.99

00:14:11.780 let me tell you this quick story about whoopie gold because I think it's right exactly down the line of 1.00

00:14:16.680 what you're talking about so somebody comes up to her and says oh I'm a huge fan I've always wanted

00:14:22.420 to be an actor tell me how to become an actor because I love acting and she says okay well have you felt

00:14:28.200 this way all your life yes so were you any plays in junior high uh no did you go try out for any

00:14:34.320 plays in high school no are you out of high school now yeah is there a community playhouse in your area

00:14:39.800 that you could get involved in yeah have you no well then you don't want to be an actor you want to be

00:14:47.080 famous and I think that's the she's like because if you if you really want to be an actor there's

00:14:52.100 all sorts of opportunities to act dude that's the you know what I'm saying yes they like the idea of

00:14:56.460 it dude exactly right exactly so people say they want to be an entrepreneur yes no no no no what they 0.93

00:15:02.900 really want to do is they watch my snapchat and they want to drive around in my fucking rolls royce 0.98

00:15:07.580 listen to rick ross right because that's what they think this is about right and they want to fly 0.99

00:15:12.240 somewhere on a private jet and they want to be on a stage and they want people to fucking see him 0.92

00:15:16.480 and they want you know they want to sit in front of a microphone and sound like they know what the 0.99

00:15:20.400 fuck they're talking about that's what they want they don't want to actually go fucking do it like 0.99

00:15:25.100 you know 1.00

00:15:27.180 it doesn't work that way and that's I just don't understand the mentality like 0.97

00:15:35.700 it's taken me fucking 17 years to get where we are 17 full fucking years and 0.98

00:15:43.260 I've forgotten most of the struggles like most of the struggles like people are like oh man you 0.97

00:15:49.280 talk about the struggles I've forgotten most of them like the ones I tell you like there was a

00:15:53.960 million more it wasn't just the ones I'm telling you it's every day you know and like people are

00:15:58.980 like oh I want to fucking build this business and then three months later they're fucking quit 0.96

00:16:02.540 like three months ain't shit you know what I mean like I just I just don't understand the problem 1.00

00:16:09.920 is you have all these motherfuckers on the internet teaching these fucking kids that that they could 1.00

00:16:15.120 get rich in 12 fucking months if they buy the fucking program you know oh make passive income if 1.00

00:16:21.000 anybody tells you to make passive income run for the fucking hills there is no fucking such thing 1.00

00:16:26.260 there is no fucking passive income where you sit around and fucking you know watch tv and chill 1.00

00:16:32.520 and fucking go out with your buddies and you're making millions of dollars anybody who says 1.00

00:16:37.120 passive income is selling you some bullshit you know the reason they get passive income is because 1.00

00:16:42.900 they're lying to you and they don't you know you're too dumb to fucking realize it like if you buy 1.00

00:16:47.400 something that says passive income you're a dumb motherfucker I'm serious right like no I was 1.00

00:16:53.040 gonna if you're listening to this and you buy something that says passive income you're dumb as fuck 1.00

00:16:59.040 as if all you have to do is check your bank you're fucking dumb yeah like you deserve to get fucking 1.00

00:17:03.300 ripped off maybe we should start a course on passive income I'd buy it I know you would you lazy 1.00

00:17:10.520 motherfucker well listen uh let me introduce our topic because I think this this actually is it about 0.98

00:17:15.400 passive income well it's because I know that's what everybody wants yeah no no so uh so you know 0.99

00:17:20.120 I'm a literature guy I'm a writing guy there's a great book classic epic called Dante's Inferno where

00:17:26.580 the main character goes through hell but he's he's accompanied by a guide who kind of gets him out

00:17:32.420 of hell and into heaven that's what we're going to do today because entrepreneur uh ship all the

00:17:38.320 things involved with building a business as you would agree there's days that you just feel like

00:17:42.960 hell right so you're going to be the guide that's going to navigate people through hell well I think 0.99

00:17:47.200 I should be the fucking guy I think you know why because you're the devil no because out of all the 1.00

00:17:52.660 motherfuckers that you guys watch and listen to and I watch you motherfuckers comment and like 1.00

00:17:56.440 other people's shit I'm the only one that's built a real fucking business right Gary's built a real 1.00

00:18:02.960 business but outside of that who else who else has built a fucking business that you could come to 0.99

00:18:08.120 and fucking see and recognize all over the world and is a recognized fucking brand you know what I'm 1.00

00:18:13.920 saying like why the fuck would you pay somebody money who has never built a fucking company the fuck is 1.00

00:18:20.880 wrong with you I mean what why like the first thing I look at when I like qualify people is like what 0.99

00:18:28.060 the fuck is this guy actually done what makes him qualified oh because he makes neat videos or he 0.99

00:18:32.920 fucking talks nice on the internet or he's well-spoken or fucking whatever how about this what the fuck did 1.00

00:18:39.460 you build what did you put out in real life how many people did you employ how much did you sell your 1.00

00:18:45.280 company for real shit how did you even make the money that you have now exactly you made it by 1.00

00:18:50.200 selling people lies about yourself and these fucking people buy it they buy it it's unbelievable to me 1.00

00:18:58.860 like unbelievable like dude I'm in the wrong fucking business if people are that fucking stupid 1.00

00:19:05.360 I'm serious we have ethics yeah that's true but I mean yeah I mean come on like how fucking dumb are I 1.00

00:19:13.460 mean like for real well people buy hope and that's what these guys give them yeah but it's it's not 0.94

00:19:23.680 accredited or qualified hope right you know if you're gonna buy hope you buy it for someone who's

00:19:29.500 gonna tell you the fucking truth or show you what they've done or has done something you know what I 0.99

00:19:33.780 mean like you don't buy it for some knucklehead who fucking who runs ads on fucking facebook and youtube 1.00

00:19:40.920 and fucking talks about you know how much money he made doing something he never fucking did 1.00

00:19:48.820 you know like dude these people it's just unbelievable to me it's unbelievable like unbelievable 0.99

00:19:53.940 it's like we talked about when gerard was here like gerard's built a real fucking company 0.97

00:19:58.240 you know i'm saying dan fleischman i was just thinking dan dan fleischman 20 fucking companies 0.99

00:20:03.640 you know mike dillard real company you know i'm saying we don't have people on this fucking show 0.99

00:20:08.800 that haven't built real shit you know why because i don't fucking like people that haven't been real 0.99

00:20:11.780 shit they try to pretend like the expert you know what i mean gary's been on the show yep like dude 1.00

00:20:19.280 i just don't understand how people can be so fucking dumb i just don't i don't get it 1.00

00:20:29.120 i agree if you're that dumb how the fuck do you get the thousand bucks to fucking pay for a program 1.00

00:20:32.560 you go into debt you put it on a credit card which is like double dumb yeah like they need 1.00

00:20:37.820 two fucking helmets yeah on a daily basis you know like in the nfl one of those cones no no no no no 0.99

00:20:43.520 they like you know in the nfl when someone's got a concussion they put one of them phone helmets 1.00

00:20:46.660 over the real helmet that's what those motherfuckers need a helmet's helmet you're all talking about 1.00

00:20:51.600 those fucking stupid looking ones what's funny is it's actually triple dumb because they should be 1.00

00:20:55.380 putting that thousand dollars into their business idea no but if they didn't buy it at least at least 1.00

00:20:59.820 they spend it on fucking something to try to learn instead of buy it because if it wasn't on that 1.00

00:21:03.700 it'd be on fucking jordan's some other dumb shit fucking yeezys dudes walking around make fucking 1.00

00:21:09.460 20 grand a year wearing 600 fucking sneakers the fuck out of here all for the gram yeah so obviously the 1.00

00:21:15.740 scam artists make the life of the entrepreneur into you know well dude they teach these kids the wrong 0.99

00:21:22.980 thing yeah you know and that's not cool right because that's not what this is right you know 0.83

00:21:29.800 this is a real fucking this is a real thing it's probably the hardest thing you could do it's 0.95

00:21:33.800 hard it's a it is the hardest profession it is harder than being an athlete it is harder than 0.97

00:21:39.300 being a doctor it's harder than being a fucking whatever way fucking harder way more stressful 0.99

00:21:44.680 way less certain way more risky it's the hardest thing you could possibly do but yet all these stupid 1.00

00:21:51.960 motherfuckers out there are buying these programs that tell them it's easy because they want they want 1.00

00:21:55.240 the easy way right simple simple solution you know what come and tell me how much money any 1.00

00:22:00.440 motherfuckers made on fucking penny stocks and fucking forex let me know because i guarantee you 1.00

00:22:05.900 not one motherfucker out of 1.3 something million people listening to this has made fucking money 1.00

00:22:11.020 the only motherfuckers making money are the ones selling the courses on it 1.00

00:22:14.040 all right okay so entrepreneurialism is hard 0.99

00:22:19.880 yeah it's really fucking hard so we've had quite a few emails actually from people who 0.77

00:22:25.920 uh are killing it but they're they're acting as if it's unusual for them to have days where they're 0.97

00:22:33.320 just beating their heads against the wall feeling alone feeling isolated feeling frustrated

00:22:39.760 really going through hell they're acting like this is abnormal welcome to entrepreneurship right 0.96

00:22:46.020 welcome so i want to talk about our fucking table yeah so now you're in a big boy seat you've been 0.99

00:22:52.160 through hell i want you to guide people through i go through it every day right dude every fucking 0.98

00:22:56.380 day every day every fucking day it's hard i don't go i don't have one dude i i haven't been on a 1.00

00:23:04.820 legit vacation since 2011 you know these motherfuckers think oh you've got all this money you do whatever 1.00

00:23:10.860 the fuck you want wrong oh you got you can have all this freedom wrong because you know what i 1.00

00:23:16.580 got a fucking cell phone these days and that cell phone connects me to every little fucking 1.00

00:23:20.720 disaster that happens on a fucking hourly basis which means exactly what was happening in the 30 0.99

00:23:25.900 minutes leading up to our program today yeah no we we started an hour and a half late yeah 0.99

00:23:30.600 because i was fucking dealing with shit but that's but do what you just saw me do that's my 0.98

00:23:35.060 whole day you know what i'm saying and like people don't understand that because you know 0.99

00:23:40.820 they're taught that entrepreneurship is this alternative thing that is fun and easy and great

00:23:44.900 you know what it can be fun and it can be great and there are moments that are fucking unbelievable 0.79

00:23:49.320 you know what i mean but they're not the moments you think you know the moments that are more 0.98

00:23:54.180 unbelievable are like when you're when your main guy goes out and buys a fucking new house 0.75

00:23:57.840 or they have a kid and and they you know they upgrade their house or they they buy a new car 0.95

00:24:02.940 they have some success that's the cool shit but people people don't think they don't even realize 0.99

00:24:08.680 that because you have to go through the shit to understand that right but anyhow but that speaks 0.98

00:24:13.160 to another issue though which is once you really do make it and you get not make it but when you get 0.97

00:24:17.700 to a certain level you are you're not just bearing responsibility for your own life you do if you're a

00:24:23.580 if a person if you're a person with ethics you do feel responsible for all the people that are that

00:24:28.040 work for you which just adds to your stress it's a fact it's not a matter of perspective you are 0.99

00:24:32.520 responsible yeah you know what i mean the bigger and more people you employ the more you fucking 0.95

00:24:37.700 worry about them you know if you you know dude it's there's a lot man you know at the end of the

00:24:44.320 day anything worthwhile is going to be hard you know and and average people and people who don't 0.91

00:24:49.700 have shit going on and people who fucking point the finger and say oh they're so lucky dude they 0.96

00:24:54.420 don't ever have to fucking worry about feeling like shit because they don't ever attempt anything 1.00

00:24:58.880 great you know what i mean so like their lives are fucking they're living in ignorance they're 0.99

00:25:03.480 living in a place of like no uh comprehension of what it actually takes so they don't feel bad 0.97

00:25:10.660 and like dude you know i've talked to a lot of successful people and they're like man i feel bad

00:25:14.660 for these people who don't get it don't feel bad for those people because those people are happy

00:25:19.200 those people are in a box that confines them that they in their perspective in their mind and their

00:25:24.340 brain they're doing the right things and it's and really there's there's no reason you should go 0.53

00:25:28.660 fucking spoil that for them you know what i mean ignorance is bliss right like it's like the matrix 0.56

00:25:33.200 you take the red pill and the blue pill man you don't you don't go force somebody to have the 0.99

00:25:36.500 fucking blue pill so in your mind that feeling of frustration that feeling of just being embattled 0.92

00:25:41.960 that's actually indicative of a good thing i think if you want to be successful it is because dude 0.99

00:25:47.100 where does your drive come from where does the hunger come from where does everything come from it 0.87

00:25:51.480 comes from fear it comes from you you run a lot fucking faster when you're getting chased by a 0.90

00:25:57.080 lion as opposed when you're trying to go run to eat you know what i mean like it's it's about 0.88

00:26:01.380 leveraging your own emotion and understanding that and living with the uncertainty that nothing is 0.93

00:26:07.860 guaranteed for an entrepreneur and a lot of people just can't fucking mentally handle that 0.71

00:26:11.480 you know what i mean they just are not built for that kind of mental game and so they get stressed 0.78

00:26:17.280 they get angry they get depressed they get upset and they they just can't do it and you have to

00:26:23.180 realize and like this is a quote that i picked up from tony robbins a number of years ago that stuck

00:26:28.060 with me um and i don't know if i'm quoting him exactly but you know it's it's close uh he said

00:26:35.040 you're you're the success you'll see is in direct proportion to the uncertainty that you can live with

00:26:39.780 and there there's when i first heard that i didn't know what it meant but dude it's the truth

00:26:46.240 like the more uncomfortable the more uncertainty the more of that you can live with the more successful

00:26:51.680 you can be and like i've talked about before people spend so much time trying to run and be

00:26:58.280 comfortable because they see their friends who are ignorant to what it actually takes be happy and they

00:27:05.400 want to be that happy so they try to run and be comfortable with them but you can't run and be

00:27:09.340 comfortable with them and also build something at the same time you know what i mean it takes two

00:27:13.740 totally different action actionable courses of life to do that and you just can't and um

00:27:20.920 so i yeah i think that feeling anxiety stress and all those things i think those are good things i think

00:27:27.540 those are things that you know like you have to manage them you know you need to do things once in

00:27:32.560 a while to get them that frees you up from that but i think that's pretty i mean like when i say

00:27:37.440 welcome to entrepreneurship i'm being literal like i mean at least for me man i i don't know

00:27:43.800 like every entrepreneur i've ever talked to no matter how much money they make like if you get them

00:27:47.940 to talk to you on a real fucking like a real genuine authentic level they'll tell you the same thing 0.69

00:27:52.520 so tony's comment that you paraphrased is he essentially saying listen just get comfortable with 0.91

00:28:00.100 the fact that life is messy it just is there's going to be uncertainty there's going to be things

00:28:05.340 that you can't manage yeah but what but see and the cool thing is once you accept that it because

00:28:10.080 all that becomes less impactful on your mood and your stress and your anxiety because you just know

00:28:16.940 that's the way it is you know if you if you know when you get out of bed every single day that you're 0.96

00:28:22.720 going to get your ass kicked at least once today you know and you just accept it like today i'm getting 0.99

00:28:28.040 my ass beat like that's a lot different than getting surprised by the ass beating every day 1.00

00:28:32.680 you know what i mean yeah like if you eventually you just learn to live with it and and if you've 1.00

00:28:38.340 never ever learned to live with it or accept it then every day is ruined because you got your ass 0.98

00:28:42.760 beat yeah you know what i mean yeah so like so like so like now when i get up and i like i know like 0.99

00:28:48.220 today i'm probably getting my ass beat at least once and i'm but when it happens it happens i move on 0.90

00:28:53.880 you know i don't let it ruin my day like i go from that little thing to the next thing right away 0.95

00:28:58.800 but people who don't understand how to expect those challenges and those frustrations and you

00:29:04.920 know that i'm that i'm you know generalizing and the term ass beating you know they don't

00:29:11.080 those people never get used to it so like every time it happens whether it happens at 10 o'clock 0.94

00:29:15.780 in the morning or three o'clock in the afternoon or fucking six o'clock at night it the rest of their 0.97

00:29:20.140 day is fucking done you know what i mean and you can't be productive and successful with that 0.99

00:29:25.340 mentality because sometimes and a lot of times that shit does happen at 10 a.m and if you only 0.99

00:29:29.820 work from fucking eight o'clock till 10 o'clock every day and you let the your mood get ruined 0.98

00:29:34.260 the rest of the day and your productivity and all that you can't build anything you old enough to 0.95

00:29:38.920 have ever watched gi joe well for those of you who aren't it was one of the good cartoons it was

00:29:44.480 the best cartoon but it was i could never figure out when it was on it was like sporadically awesome

00:29:48.500 but it was back in those days when you actually had cartoons about you know soldiers as opposed to like

00:29:52.860 unicorns and stupid stuff like today but they used to have i don't know if you remember this

00:29:57.180 but they used to have public service announcements where like in between the middle of the episode 0.99

00:30:01.760 there'd be kids playing by like a downed power line and they were you know they'd have water in

00:30:06.220 their hands and everything and they're going to go near it and some gi joe guy would come along and

00:30:10.320 say hey you know it's dangerous to play by downed power lines because you could get fried and die

00:30:15.560 and they would say uh they would say oh we didn't know that and the tagline at the end of the

00:30:20.780 public service announcement this is what i thought of when you were talking was wait it was now you

00:30:24.700 know now you know right yeah knowing is half the battle yeah that's right right yeah and so that's

00:30:29.540 what you're saying now you know and knowing is half the battle and this is what you didn't have

00:30:34.160 like that rainbow logo yeah yeah well it wasn't a rainbow it was the it was the american flag oh is

00:30:38.680 that what it was yeah but um you were like 10 years older than me i know i know but you know what

00:30:42.840 i'm saying is that's what i hear you saying is that listen guys just understand that that struggle

00:30:48.020 that challenge that feeling of being beaten up that's part of it now you know right and now

00:30:52.380 he's half the battle damn right so i've on exactly that worked pretty well actually so my question

00:31:00.520 then is is it is another way to understand it is that if you are feeling that if you are feeling

00:31:06.580 beaten up frustrated at least it's an indication that you're in the game yeah you're not a spectator

00:31:12.280 yeah it's a good thing so when people are going through hell then yeah you know yeah yeah just 0.98

00:31:18.700 think what your life could be like yeah you could be working in a fucking cubicle what's that movie 0.99

00:31:22.920 office space office space yeah yeah we're fucking uh what's the guy's name that with the fucking tps 1.00

00:31:29.900 reports you could ask some motherfucker over your shoulder like that ask for tps reports all fucking 0.99

00:31:34.740 day lumber or whatever his name was exactly i'm gonna i'm gonna need you to uh go ahead and i'll work 0.99

00:31:40.980 on saturdays too and sundays like it's been a long time since i've seen that movie you're the 0.98

00:31:45.980 fucking white guy rapping in the car i am the white guy rapping in the car but with the windows rolled 0.99

00:31:50.560 up i'm like eminem when you when the windows roll up when you see a black guy that's you yeah exactly 1.00

00:31:55.260 um okay so people going through hell feelings of frustration those are good things you can reframe

00:32:03.060 that to say hey i'm in the game and this is kind of all part of it it's kind of all part of the

00:32:07.880 process so what about because i feel like we get this a lot and actually i got this a lot on ig

00:32:12.320 lately is people saying it's always funny because they always qualify it they feel bad for admitting

00:32:18.340 this but they'll say hey man i feel sorry but could you guys talk a little bit about what it feels like

00:32:23.180 to to feel like you're alone or isolated and they almost like again they're apologizing for it and i

00:32:30.400 want to say don't apologize for it i think it's a pretty standard experience well being an entrepreneur

00:32:36.720 by statistic statistics is very rare so of course you're gonna fucking feel alone you know how many 0.73

00:32:45.980 people do i know like out of the thousands of people i know that are actually entrepreneurs it's

00:32:51.220 like a dozen you know what i mean uh so by the path you take by nature you're gonna have a hard time

00:33:00.180 relating to everybody else you know because they're living in that box and that's what we you know i made a

00:33:06.400 couple posts on instagram about this over the last couple weeks about relationships being in

00:33:11.300 transition and you know you have to realize that that is also like we said part of the process

00:33:17.940 and when you you know when you start to not relate to the people that you've been in your circle

00:33:25.020 um you're gonna go through a period where you feel isolated you feel alone and and that's that's

00:33:31.140 another normal thing uh and then you're gonna get to a time where you meet other people who are

00:33:36.260 similar to what you're doing similar mindsets you're gonna become friends with them and

00:33:40.160 it's a temporary thing but i mean i think every single person who is an entrepreneur goes through

00:33:46.080 that you can't look at it like it's the end of the world and you're going to be alone forever it's

00:33:51.140 just a fucking transition mentally and again if you have the proper perspective of what we're talking 0.86

00:33:56.760 about gi like gi vaughn said you know what'd you say now you know and knowing's half the battle and 0.99

00:34:04.740 if you have that perspective like we're talking about you understand that this is also a good

00:34:09.860 thing it means you're on the right path it means you're seeing a level of commitment and success and 0.79

00:34:14.600 dedication that other people cannot relate to anymore and that means you're on the right fucking path 0.92

00:34:20.400 right you're moving away from the mediocre average mentality into a more aggressive ambitious 0.75

00:34:27.180 success mentality and you know eventually you're going to crack your way into a network of people

00:34:32.640 that are that are also like that and those people are not only going to be for you there for you

00:34:36.820 socially but you're going to do business with those people you're going to become friends with 0.91

00:34:39.680 those people they're going to be at your fucking kid's birthday but they're also going to be at your 0.99

00:34:43.300 fucking office and you're going to make money together things like that happen it's not that's how it 0.99

00:34:47.900 works you know what i mean yeah so you you can't look at it as a bad thing i remember you telling 0.99

00:34:53.080 the guy the other day that we were talking to that that feeling of loneliness that feeling of isolation

00:34:57.840 is literally part of the process of detaching from the common lot of people yeah like that's yeah it's

00:35:06.880 almost like you breaking out of the box it's you it's you separating yourself right from the average

00:35:12.520 crowd and literally becoming exceptional yes and that's and it feels lonely it's because it like

00:35:18.220 dude your your whole life you're used to the same thing you're used to you know hanging out the same

00:35:22.680 people seeing the same people doing the same things going to birthday parties christmases weekends off 0.99

00:35:27.640 at the lake going to the bars with your buddies this this this this this all of a sudden the shit stops 0.99

00:35:32.320 well anytime you stop something you've been doing for fucking years it's going to feel uncomfortable 0.99

00:35:36.340 you're going to go into withdrawal you're literally going to go into withdrawal yeah man and that's 0.97

00:35:40.520 just you you have to be prepared you know it's hard to prepare somebody for that but at least now

00:35:46.640 if you're listening to this and you're going through that and you understand that like that's

00:35:49.700 that's just part of the deal and it should be an indication that you are becoming more aware

00:35:54.880 and and it should be an indication that you should be happy about you know let's not miss this

00:36:01.040 because i think this is huge i mean laziness mediocrity complacency they are like drugs so when you

00:36:07.740 stop going it's when you stop taking those drugs like i said you will feel withdrawal yes and it and

00:36:13.940 and it's like any addict that starts getting freedom there's that period of just like

00:36:17.880 fogginess and and and literal pain and and feeling like you're empty inside and then you get through

00:36:24.220 it well you know what you feel you feel like there's something wrong with you yeah you feel

00:36:27.440 like there's something wrong with you like you look at everybody else and you look how everybody

00:36:31.420 else interacts like you'll go through this phase you'll look at everybody else you'll see how they 0.99

00:36:35.600 interact you'll see how they live you'll realize that the shit that they're doing means very little 0.61

00:36:39.960 to you and you're gonna and you start second guessing yourself instead of second guessing them 0.95

00:36:46.700 and it's really it really should be neither you should just realize that they're staying where they

00:36:52.660 are comfortable and you are moving on to a new phase and it doesn't mean there's something wrong

00:36:56.960 with them because if if you know if they all thought like you they'd be entrepreneurs too which they

00:37:03.940 aren't you know what i mean right so you have to understand that it's a very specific thought

00:37:09.180 process that you are advancing through that is ultimately going to help you get where you want

00:37:16.500 to be but but it doesn't mean there's something wrong with those people and it doesn't mean there's

00:37:20.840 something wrong with you it just means you're different and there's nothing wrong with that you

00:37:25.320 know what i mean absolutely so you've talked a little bit in the past about your own struggles

00:37:30.240 with depression kind of being down um i mean i know there's a i think clinically there's a difference

00:37:37.360 between just being discouraged because some things in your life aren't going well and being clinically

00:37:41.800 depressed but talk a little bit about like how people need to deal with their feelings when it comes

00:37:48.860 to just they wake up and they just feel like they're they're just sucking everything up

00:37:53.280 i think in a business sense um it's interesting to me my personal my personal experiences with people

00:38:05.100 have been that when people are very successful they always feel like they're not successful they

00:38:12.220 always feel like they're not doing enough or haven't done enough or way far behind and i feel like

00:38:19.260 that is what drives their ambition and their hunger and what what causes them to get up every day is 0.99

00:38:26.420 they feel like that and on the flip side of that i see a lot of fucking mediocre fucking dudes and 0.99

00:38:31.460 girls who haven't done shit in their life in any way that think they're fucking killing it right 1.00

00:38:36.600 you know and they feel great about themselves they have great self-esteem right which also drives 0.98

00:38:41.040 their their work ethic which is why it's very little because when you're comfortable and you're not 0.72

00:38:45.860 scared and you're not terrified you don't fucking work you know you kick your feet up and enjoy life 0.93

00:38:50.660 and like i said if you if if you are one of these people which if you're listening to this you're 0.95

00:38:56.020 probably not but if you're one of these people who's okay with that life let them be let them be

00:39:00.940 that way because dude they're fucking happy you know what i mean don't try to ruin somebody's happiness 0.94

00:39:06.520 because you fucking think differently than they do you know they might try to ruin yours but remember 0.99

00:39:11.200 you're more enlightened and more aware than they are so just let them fucking be you know what i mean 0.99

00:39:15.520 you need some fucking employees right right yeah exactly it is funny how that works though like 0.99

00:39:20.820 dude well let me let me let me say this to be a successful employee you also have to have an 0.99

00:39:26.800 entrepreneur mindset you just do so like i was i was saying that in jest so nobody that's listening 0.98

00:39:32.180 to this as an employee there is no fucking shame in that either you need to be fucking executing on a 0.99

00:39:38.020 massive level because you'll become a high income earner without all the extra stress of going out 0.96

00:39:43.100 and doing your own thing so like i say that as a joke so realize i was kidding when i said that

00:39:47.940 tyler you were saying i was just saying it's it like you just said it applies to employees too

00:39:54.520 100 my last pay raise like i was it allowed me to breathe easier but i was like kind of depressed

00:40:00.800 it's like fuck yeah it's gonna take a lot of work to get to the next level exactly right but i mean dude 0.98

00:40:05.340 you know there's two kinds of people there's people that get pay raises and then they fucking shut 0.99

00:40:09.340 down and get lazy and get comfortable and go back to living with their with their they go back to 0.98

00:40:14.220 their old ways and with the with a little bit more fucking dough and there's the people who think like 0.99

00:40:18.940 you do and they're like fuck that i want way more than that dude i stopped going out right exactly like 0.99

00:40:23.760 it took me like dude that's a winner's mindset you know what i mean and you know again it comes down 0.99

00:40:30.400 to the standards that are set for society you know like when i when i was growing up through college

00:40:34.360 and and uh high school and shit you know people were like oh man dude's make 80 grand a year he's 0.81

00:40:39.200 fucking killing it you know and like people are taught these standards of like they're they're 0.97

00:40:44.620 most people if you ask them what they would like to make they'll tell you 100 grand let's say i'm 1.00

00:40:49.280 gonna make 100 grand 100 grand is shit if you want to make 100 grand you should be like trying to make 0.99

00:40:55.600 like 10 million for real because i'm gonna tell you right now your first 100 grand is the hardest fuck to 1.00

00:41:01.240 make and second of all what you're gonna find out is that you're gonna spend it very fucking fast 0.98

00:41:06.540 so what i'm saying is the standard society puts on what quote unquote good money is is is very low

00:41:12.540 and so people set their goals low and then they achieve low you know but um getting back to the the

00:41:18.740 question about being depressed um it's a very inverse paradoxical weird thing that you know very

00:41:26.080 successful people always feel negative about where they are and then the people who who aren't very

00:41:31.540 successful look at those people and think they're killing it but then they also think they're killing

00:41:35.500 it you know what i mean like it's just a weird it's a weird thing and um you know there's definitely a

00:41:43.240 difference between feeling bad about what you know and not being frustrated or discouraged or angry about

00:41:48.840 where you're at which is a great thing and being actually depressed that's a people don't understand 0.95

00:41:54.000 that depression is an actual fucking disease you know what i mean it's an affliction and uh you know 0.92

00:41:59.640 i've dealt with it for 20 fucking years but um and no amount of success fixes that that's something 0.99

00:42:06.360 that you have to go get treated for and by the way if you're one of those people there's no shame in 0.97

00:42:11.340 that you know i'll tell you right now that's something that i deal with on a daily basis and dealt with

00:42:15.040 for a long time uh and it is what it is you know what i mean you got it's no different than having a 0.93

00:42:21.520 fucking uh you know some more some other side of sort of affliction you know like you know eczema or 0.97

00:42:29.100 fucking uh psoriasis or you got you know what i'm saying like cavities like you gotta yeah herpes 0.99

00:42:35.320 right i mean i'm just saying you've got to go get it fucking treated you know it's it's uh i think a 0.99

00:42:41.820 big problem with depression is that a lot of people aren't willing to go fucking get treated for it 0.99

00:42:46.100 you know what i mean and they think that they've got it under control especially fucking type a 0.98

00:42:49.880 entrepreneur people they think that like they're in control of everything because you are in control 0.99

00:42:54.100 of everything and they think they can fix that and uh you know it's a biochemistry fucking you know 0.91

00:43:00.220 brain chemical issue that you know it'd be no different than having a heart issue right and you

00:43:05.560 have to get it fixed and that's why i made the distinction between depression and discouragement

00:43:09.360 because i think you could be treated for depression you could be on wellbutrin or whatever zoloft

00:43:13.300 and that doesn't mean you're not gonna exactly you're not gonna be discouraged off about work

00:43:16.860 right exactly or that you're just gonna have bad days where you feel exactly exactly and so i what 0.52

00:43:22.140 i so that is a great that is a great fucking delineation because just because you're clinically 0.94

00:43:27.520 depressed or have depression doesn't mean you're still not going to be pissed off daily about being 0.96

00:43:32.080 an entrepreneur right because you are and there's a big difference like dude i feel fucking great about 0.79

00:43:37.020 my depression especially now for the last year because i'm gonna get my fitness in shape uh and

00:43:42.100 taking care of those issues right right fitness is a huge fucking deal with that it'll fix a lot of 0.90

00:43:46.740 things right but uh but i feel great right now but i'm still fucking pissed off about business 0.97

00:43:52.460 yeah you know and we're doing very well yeah and i'm still pissed but what i think one of the things

00:43:57.360 that i really want to get your feedback from or on is uh is it seems like we are so emotion driven

00:44:05.060 in america to where like if you're just having a crappy day or if you don't feel like things are 0.97

00:44:09.920 going well well then it's okay oh dude yeah fuck you know fuck yeah of course or that your emotions 1.00

00:44:15.940 dude all these every motherfucker listening right now thinks that way they think that somehow their 1.00

00:44:21.560 fucking emotions and how they feel and they're sad or depressed or upset or angry or this or that 1.00

00:44:27.940 somehow gives them a fucking reason not to do x y and z on a daily basis do you know how much 0.99

00:44:34.300 fucking less success we would have as a company if i didn't do x y and z when i was pissed off 0.98

00:44:39.840 you know what i'm saying like dude i wrote this with my employees sometimes like dude we'll have 0.99

00:44:44.200 employees that go off the fucking deep end performance wise and i'm like what the fuck is 0.98

00:44:48.500 going on with you and they're like oh well um i'm i'm upset because of i didn't get promoted 0.99

00:44:54.340 so wait let me get this straight so you're upset you didn't get fucking promoted so now you're just 0.99

00:44:59.980 going to do a shitty fucking job so you get fucking fired it doesn't make fucking sense right why would 1.00

00:45:05.640 you not sack the fuck up and show your whole fucking company that that was a mistake promoting 1.00

00:45:10.820 the other guy over you you know what i mean absolutely in my fucking 17 years of running a 0.99

00:45:16.580 business i have never ever ever ever ever ever promoted someone and then thought i should have 0.98

00:45:24.140 promoted someone else because the people's nature is not that way their nature is to fucking go in a 0.98

00:45:29.760 ball and pout like a little fucking girl and and and say oh well why didn't i get that that's what 1.00

00:45:36.580 fucking losers do man if you're a winner and you want the fucking job and you want the opportunity 1.00

00:45:41.100 you got to go out and fucking take initiative which is a core value of our company and make it 1.00

00:45:46.320 fucking happen on your own you have to become so fucking good that it is impossible for the company 0.98

00:45:52.540 to deny your progression that is how you have to do this and that is if you're an employee how you 0.99

00:45:58.700 should be looking at it not looking at it like oh poor me i got fucking passed over so i'm not going 1.00

00:46:03.180 to try anymore no you should be looking at it like you're going to shove it up the motherfucker's ass 1.00

00:46:07.560 who made that decision and i guess guess what if you do that you're going to get paid a lot of fucking 0.99

00:46:12.080 money that's how it works and so you know but but but part of doing that is going to be you doing 0.80

00:46:20.080 the things you need to do at a high level even when you're pissed off even when you're angry even

00:46:25.160 when you're upset and you've been talking a lot about those emotions that's a massive skill dude

00:46:30.280 a massive massive massive trait slash skill of an entrepreneur is doing the things that need to be 0.98

00:46:36.540 done at a very fucking high level even when they don't feel like it right even when they're fucking 0.99

00:46:41.340 their dog dies even when their fucking parents die even when they're sick even when they're in a 1.00

00:46:47.580 car accident they do not make fucking excuses no matter what they own every fucking thing and they get 1.00

00:46:54.260 every fucking thing done no matter what no matter what no matter what right and you've been talking 0.99

00:47:01.520 a lot about the anger but you've also in the past mentioned tombstone days yeah which are not angry 0.98

00:47:06.900 days they're just days where you're like where you want to quit i just want to quit yeah right and so

00:47:11.740 emotions are irrelevant they are they're irrelevant they are irrelevant and so many people especially now 0.99

00:47:18.480 with the delicate snowflake culture of fucking being in touch with all your fucking feelings 0.99

00:47:23.320 feel that 1.00

00:47:25.160 their emotional 0.99

00:47:28.840 state somehow dictates their actionable fucking tasks you know oh i don't i don't fucking feel good 0.99

00:47:39.200 today so uh like dude that might have worked when you were in fucking grade school and you go to the 0.99

00:47:43.980 nurse and get sent home but that doesn't work in life you know like there is no fucking nurse in life 0.99

00:47:49.480 that comes and says oh here let me have your fucking mom come get you and we'll still you know you're 1.00

00:47:54.100 still okay you won't be okay you know but people do it they do it every day we see it every day you ask 0.99

00:48:01.960 people why they aren't where they want to be oh dude i've been depressed do i've been depressed for 0.93

00:48:06.360 20 fucking years i built 150 fucking million dollar business 0.98

00:48:09.200 i take medication i'm diagnosed depressed get it it's not a fucking excuse that's the money quote of 0.99

00:48:18.320 the episode what is what you just said i you said i've been you said i've been depressed for 17 years 0.95

00:48:27.780 and built 150 million dollar yeah company right well it's true i it's insane yeah you know but

00:48:33.660 there's a lot of ceos that are depressed they just don't fucking talk about it you know it's it has 0.98

00:48:39.140 nothing to do it has nothing to do with fucking uh you know people people see i was saying this 0.99

00:48:45.960 right now there's gonna be people listening they're gonna say see there's another fucking dude who makes 0.93

00:48:49.860 a lot of money who's fucking unhappy you know what i'm saying that is not the case that is not the 0.95

00:48:55.520 case and it had nothing to do with what was going on with me nothing right so okay in terms of 0.97

00:49:01.760 entrepreneurial hell we've talked about uh feelings of frustration feelings of isolation or loneliness

00:49:07.440 uh you've talked about depression and discouragement let's talk about final thing that i would would

00:49:13.360 lump into the entrepreneurial hell which is which is people's constant chronic almost obsessive

00:49:20.560 compulsive second guessing and doubting that they made the right decision or they're gonna do 0.97

00:49:25.760 everything person i've been going through that bad yeah yeah man i've been trying to fucking figure 0.93

00:49:30.640 out what color lamborghini i want to order i'm not joking true story yeah i'm like hey dude render 0.95

00:49:37.600 this up this color render this up this color no darker windows yeah so like dude i'm fucking 0.98

00:49:43.040 second guessing myself big time man they need a decision today huh yeah i gotta tell them today

00:49:49.600 but i mean no i mean all joking aside like yeah that's natural you know the the thing that i think

00:49:56.160 successful entrepreneurs do better than people who aren't successful is that once they make a decision

00:50:01.600 to commit to that decision you know what i mean they don't they leave the second guessing out of it

00:50:06.720 until they're proven that maybe the other decision was the right decision so for example you make a

00:50:12.560 decision you give it all you have and it doesn't work out exactly the way you want and you think

00:50:17.440 man you know what in hindsight i would have done it this other way and that's healthy that's good

00:50:22.320 that means you learn but what's not healthy is doing it like this well i don't know let's just try

00:50:31.440 let's let's try this idea just a little bit and like let's let's just try it a little bit and see if 0.97

00:50:37.440 it works nothing that you try a little bit fucking works nothing not a fucking diet not a fitness 0.98

00:50:44.000 program not a career not a business not a relationship nothing that you put a little bit 0.98

00:50:50.080 or try a little bit at is going to produce the outcome you want and that's where people get caught

00:50:55.120 up in second guessing they think that they can just try something a little bit test it and then oh

00:51:01.040 you know if it works we'll fucking we'll do it all the way that doesn't work the the better ways to go all 1.00

00:51:06.160 in take your fucking beatings if you're going to get beat and then learn the lesson on the backside 1.00

00:51:10.240 and then improve because then you know for sure because what second guessing begets more second 1.00

00:51:16.240 guessing right so like if you don't commit and you don't know for sure let's say you got a and b

00:51:20.720 and you do the the little try a little bit with b okay then you go down the road and then you're like 0.87

00:51:26.420 fuck i don't think that's working let's go back to a and then you try a little bit right and then you're 0.94

00:51:30.740 like oh that's not working either maybe we should stick with b and you go back and forth 0.99

00:51:34.720 back and forth back and forth and that's where people get caught up in the in the second guessing

00:51:38.480 begets more second guessing and that's why they get like that so you know when you make a decision 0.88

00:51:43.660 fucking make the best decision dude people don't make the best decisions because they're afraid 0.99

00:51:48.840 that they're so afraid of making the wrong decision again like this whole fucking podcast 1.00

00:51:55.740 making wrong decisions is part of being an entrepreneur right i've made a fucking ton of wrong 1.00

00:52:02.860 decisions man a ton like i hired fucking tyler like this motherfucker like who the fuck will hire 1.00

00:52:08.660 this guy you know then i fired him then i hired him back stupid twice yeah dude i need one of those 1.00

00:52:16.180 fucking helmets we were talking about but no but like what i'm saying you know it really is just 0.99

00:52:20.860 the tip yeah dude jesus yeah you can't give him just a tip you got to give him the whole fucking 0.99

00:52:25.560 you gotta go all in yeah you gotta pound it out you know try just the tip it doesn't yeah if you 0.97

00:52:30.480 try just the tip it's no fun you gotta you gotta be committed you can't make a baby just the tip 0.99

00:52:34.920 you know what i'm saying and maybe you can but i'm sure there's dudes out there like bullshit 0.94

00:52:39.460 dude but but seriously though like you have to commit and and learn the lesson on the backside as 0.83

00:52:47.180 opposed to like learning from just barely committing you know what i mean absolutely and that's that's

00:52:51.600 what cures indecision if you understand that not only a it's a part of the process but b you're

00:52:57.720 going to learn something from whatever decision you make and just commit to it and then learn the

00:53:00.920 lesson and fucking adjust you know it goes back to people thinking that entrepreneurship is some 0.97

00:53:05.760 mapped out perfect fucking plan right exactly yes and it's not and once once you understand that it's 0.99

00:53:11.480 not and accept it you know it's just like i was saying about getting your ass beat you know if you 0.98

00:53:15.560 if you accept that it's going to be rough and you're going to have to make weird decisions and 0.99

00:53:19.320 shit's going to go wrong and all that it becomes pretty easy to fucking deal with but it's when 0.99

00:53:23.680 you think that it should be smooth and and this again goes back to the internet fuck faces who do 1.00

00:53:28.460 all this shit right and tell people it's fucking easy and people believe that shit and so then what 1.00

00:53:34.840 they do is they go out and they try shit and it doesn't go smooth and they think there's something 0.99

00:53:38.000 wrong with them that's that's fucking terrible right like from a moral standpoint like how many people 0.99

00:53:45.240 have given up on their potential in themselves because they've heard from seven other fucking 0.99

00:53:49.840 entrepreneurs that this shit is easy you know probably a lot yes man yes a lot it's amazing to 0.99

00:53:57.720 me how these principles applied a lot of different areas of life when i was a pastor i used to run into 0.99

00:54:02.300 this happens with young young people is that they want to know god's will so so they're so worried 0.51

00:54:08.480 well i'll tell you guys will and i'm not even fucking pastor you know i'm serious well yeah but let me 0.98

00:54:13.320 make my point let me make my point okay you know what god's will is what's that for you to be as 0.99

00:54:17.420 successful as fucking possible if you were a fucking dad vaughn do you want your kids to be as 0.99

00:54:23.000 successful as possible absolutely why wouldn't you absolutely you see what i'm saying yeah so if god 0.99

00:54:28.420 is the father and he's looking over us we have a moral obligation to make him happy so go out and 0.98

00:54:33.320 fucking be as successful as possible absolutely i absolutely agree with that all these fucking bible 0.98

00:54:37.340 thumpers that say otherwise they're fucking wrong absolutely god wants us to be happy i think 0.99

00:54:42.460 when people i think the way that people twist that is that they can do anything they want in 0.96

00:54:48.800 the pursuit of happiness that's where it gets right that's where it gets wrong but what i was

00:54:52.160 going to say though is that it's very common for somebody you know yes some young christian when

00:54:57.140 they're in high school or college to say oh i just don't know if god wants me to be a fireman or a

00:55:02.720 or a i don't know an executive or something like that and they think it's this very mechanistic like

00:55:07.340 there's this one thing that you have to do and don't make the wrong decision that's what they're

00:55:11.660 taught right right and and i love there's this great quote from a saint years back he said love 0.54

00:55:18.460 god and do as you please in other words the main point god didn't want us to fucking do as we please 0.93

00:55:23.860 he wouldn't give us free will right right and the point but the point is is if you're loving god we're

00:55:27.840 given lots of free will we're given lots of freedom to explore what we're what we're meant to do in

00:55:32.280 life and i think the application here in in entrepreneurialism is keep the principles sound

00:55:38.300 do the right thing work hard have a moral base and beyond that make it you know take a swing at a

00:55:44.680 wild pitch and if you screw it up it's fine just adapt right and i think and just embrace the

00:55:49.320 messiness embrace the evolution because there's no other way to do it no there isn't literally i think

00:55:55.000 that's a great point because and i want to add to that like dude most people spend their whole entire 0.84

00:56:02.820 life swinging at the wild pitches because there's glory in it right there's a fucking glory in like 0.89

00:56:08.180 like they do they do entrepreneur math you know entrepreneur math is that's like whenever you you 0.98

00:56:13.440 get your fucking iphone calculator out you're like oh dude if i sell a thousand units of this at this 0.96

00:56:18.320 much money i'll have this much money guilty and then i can buy this this and this like that's what they 1.00

00:56:22.920 fucking think yeah and they're always swinging for these big fucking swings and and they spend their 0.97

00:56:27.920 whole life swinging at the wild pitch because that's what they see other people doing they see 1.00

00:56:31.760 other people who are lying telling them that they hit the wild pitch for a 700 foot fucking home run 1.00

00:56:37.880 when in reality those motherfuckers didn't even get in the fucking batter's box you see what i mean 0.99

00:56:42.440 like dude you can't have you can't have it all today it's got to be built man it's got to be built 1.00

00:56:48.800 and i was thinking about this on the drive-in man like today this morning like i don't very often

00:56:54.580 reflect back on like our our history but like me and chris been doing this for a long fucking time 0.92

00:56:59.240 like a long time like it doesn't it doesn't feel long but man when i like go back and like count the 0.96

00:57:04.060 years i'm like fuck 18 years 18 years that's a long fucking time man it is that's almost as old as i was 0.99

00:57:11.080 when i started the company like my whole entire life before that that's that length you know what i mean 0.99

00:57:16.120 i've spent i've spent almost almost an equal amount of time in my life in business as out of

00:57:24.000 business in this business that's a weird fucking thought it is but but but you have to understand 0.87

00:57:30.400 that when you're building something no matter if it's your body or your business or a career or 0.97

00:57:38.060 whatever that shit all takes time man you know like it is gonna take you years it's gonna take you 0.88

00:57:45.680 years to perfect the physique you want it's gonna take you years to perfect your career or your 0.98

00:57:50.860 business and i feel like the instant gratification that our world you know like dude you want a real 0.99

00:57:57.900 world example of instant gratification what how people think go to the fucking gym on monday on 0.98

00:58:02.640 monday afternoon at fucking four o'clock or five o'clock go again on wednesday at four o'clock or five o'clock 0.99

00:58:07.200 and go again on friday at four or five you'll see you'll see what you'll see who thinks like 0.98

00:58:12.440 fucking instant gratification who doesn't for real and most of the people that are in there on friday 0.99

00:58:17.280 five o'clock are the same motherfuckers that are making a lot of money yeah think about that yeah 1.00

00:58:23.880 because they understand something that most people don't is that shit doesn't come overnight right and 0.99

00:58:28.520 quit expecting it overnight andy for me what it comes down to is whether people are struggling with 0.96

00:58:34.080 like depression discouragement you know feelings of isolation second guessing themselves i feel like

00:58:40.840 no matter what it is or or if it's the guy that posted about wanting the secret sauce

00:58:45.680 it all comes down to this everyone finds an excuse not to act and what i think the overall message of

00:58:53.960 this podcast and really in some ways every podcast we've ever we've ever published is you have to trust

00:59:00.200 the action yeah to do the work you have to trust the action you gotta have faith there will be there

00:59:04.380 will be results like we talked like we talked about uh in in the the luck versus faith or you

00:59:09.980 know faith and belief you know you you have to do some work not knowing if it's going to pay off and

00:59:16.200 you have to be willing to do that and that requires faith and when you do that work for a little bit

00:59:20.200 of time you're going to get a little bit of result and then you're going to have a little

00:59:23.220 belief you're going to repeat that process you're going to do a little more work you're going to get a

00:59:26.940 little more result you're going to get a little more belief you know until eventually

00:59:30.380 you completely understand that if you do the work that the result will 1000% be there and that's 0.73

00:59:37.480 when your belief becomes fucking it becomes galvanized where you just know that you could 0.90

00:59:42.500 get wherever you want to go that's like when people say oh you're really trying to build a 0.98

00:59:46.380 billion dollar company huh well people laughed at me too when i told them i wanted to build a

00:59:50.200 million dollar company right and then a 10 million dollar company and then a 20 and then 30 and then

00:59:54.960 50 your little vitamin shop yeah yeah seriously no i know so like i don't have doubts about that 0.95

01:00:02.840 you know what i mean like like like when i say that i'm saying that with absolute fucking certainty 0.88

01:00:09.140 because you've set a pattern of achievement right you could look at i just know that that fuels your

01:00:15.080 no like even like we said on the last point you're my emotional state my my if i'm depressed if i have

01:00:20.140 this issue or that issue or this or that or this happens it doesn't matter because i know the rest 0.99

01:00:24.920 the recipe is do your fucking five critical tasks like episode 107 and do them every fucking day 0.99

01:00:30.560 and if you do them every fucking day you're gonna fucking win that's it a plus b equals c and i know 0.98

01:00:36.920 it's a math i know it's a situation success is math and i know that i trust that and believe that 100 0.99

01:00:42.080 so i don't have fucking doubts right so it doesn't matter what mood i'm in or what you know where i live 0.98

01:00:47.520 or what the fuck happens externally as long as i do my shit shit's gonna happen and that's what people 0.98

01:00:52.560 need to start you know trying to grasp and it takes time to grasp that and believe that but i'm telling 0.99

01:00:59.340 you as somebody who's been on both sides of the fucking mountain you know when you're in the 0.97

01:01:03.320 beginning you're looking up that fucking mountain and you do the top like come on one step from the 1.00

01:01:07.940 other you're like fuck that guy you know what i mean yeah that's a fucking big mountain yeah but 0.99

01:01:12.860 eventually you'd be the guy on the other side telling the people to come on up it isn't that 0.99

01:01:17.200 big of a deal it's very simple it's just hard so okay so with that being said i want to also remind

01:01:25.080 people if you have topic discussion question questions or question questions plural at the

01:01:33.660 mfceo.com i'll have that email your questions slash topic ideas because i really want some i really want

01:01:50.940 if they're stupid i just call you stupid i'm just kidding it's that old saying there are no stupid 1.00

01:01:56.360 questions we'll just call you we'll just call you stupid when the mics are off exactly all right so 1.00

01:02:00.980 guys if you're going through hell here's your prescription to make it through now for real guys 0.99

01:02:06.080 if you have real questions we're not gonna call you stupid like i'm joking i will yeah okay because 0.99

01:02:11.040 i'm the mean one yeah all right so if you feel crappy if you uh if you're experiencing frustration 0.98

01:02:16.740 just remember it means you're attempting something great if you feel alone it's because you're in the

01:02:21.980 process of becoming exceptional if you are paralyzed by second guessing yourself you have a fundamentally

01:02:28.360 messed up understanding of the process of success it's messy that is not what the notes say the notes 0.98

01:02:33.880 clearly says fucked up you said messed up i did i said messed up he typed the notes didn't he thanks 0.98

01:02:45.320 the vaughn i'm just hey i'm just writing down what my boss wants to wants to read you know and then if

01:02:50.700 you're depressed you need to know that your feelings are irrelevant to success i like it key yep

01:02:56.100 that's key hey guys uh tyler tell them a little bit more about the episodes on youtube because we
