00:00:00.000 Good morning everybody and what a special morning it is better than all the other mornings
00:00:08.060 and we've had a lot of mornings am I right let's say we take 365 we'll use that as our standard
00:00:16.420 multiply by 15 billion years and the number is anybody anybody I know a lot of you didn't take
00:00:25.220 higher level math so you can't do that math in your head like me I can't do that math in my head
00:00:31.140 either but if I could wouldn't that be impressive how about that that would be a show way better than
00:00:36.940 this one but how would you like to take it up a notch anybody this is the show of shows this is
00:00:44.980 the one that will blow your freaking minds this is the show that you will remember forever and to make
00:00:54.580 this uh really more of a spiritual uh journey let's uh enjoy a cup or a mug or a glass of tanker
00:01:02.060 chalice or cyan a cantine jug or flask a vessel of any kind fill it with the beverage that you believe
00:01:10.080 will take you to the next level I think for me that's coffee and join me now for the unparalleled
00:01:16.840 pleasure it's the dopamine hit of the day a little bit of oxytocin I wouldn't leave that out
00:01:22.900 and it's called the simultaneous sip and wow is it going to be good this time you ready you ready
00:01:28.800 you ready go
00:01:30.000 yeah that was as good as I promised
00:01:37.020 maybe a little better maybe a little better all right um the funniest news today
00:01:45.820 is uh there was a survey by the economist and you gov and they asked which media organizations
00:01:53.460 are trusted uh by democrats and also by republicans now we cannot trust any data I think we've all
00:02:04.300 learned that and and of the data we can trust the least uh polls surveys you know now I'm exaggerating
00:02:12.420 a little bit now the only thing I want to tell you is that I don't know if any of this data is correct
00:02:18.540 or this survey is valid but we're going to act like it is because that's going to be more fun
00:02:24.620 agreed if we act like it's real it's going to be way more fun so here's the uh the data that uh
00:02:33.320 it's totally real is there was a huge difference in the democrats and the republicans in terms of who
00:02:41.380 they trusted now not in the obvious way obviously the democrats were trusting cnn more than fox
00:02:49.640 obviously you know the republicans liked you know their bright barts you know more than their msnbcs right
00:02:57.740 so some of that's obvious and of course the survey showed that exactly like you'd expect but here's
00:03:03.880 the weird part republicans also don't trust their own side why and it's pretty striking so the so the
00:03:15.600 republicans definitely don't trust cnn but do you know who else they don't trust fox news news max
00:03:23.880 breitbart basically nothing they basically trust nothing who are the smart ones
00:03:31.780 let's just look at the last oh i don't know five years we'll just take the last five years keep it
00:03:40.760 correct who are the smart ones the one who didn't trust anything or the ones who trusted the news
00:03:47.740 like who got the better record for the last five years you know you i know because you know i'm
00:03:56.080 setting you up a little bit because i know the audience are you sure are you sure yeah it feels like
00:04:04.800 that to me right it feels like the people who are the most skeptical were also the most right
00:04:10.040 with some notable exceptions there there's some things that you were skeptical of that i still think
00:04:15.340 might be right you know who knows so we don't agree on all the skepticism but if you were just to
00:04:21.220 take a um you know a record with you know some hits and misses the people who doubted everything
00:04:28.640 came out pretty well am i wrong but has anybody done the following thing and could anybody is it even
00:04:38.460 possible has anybody ever taken let's let's just say an apples to apples comparison as best you could
00:04:45.320 in this case uh cnn to fox news you know let's call them peers roughly speaking that they would
00:04:52.400 be peers not in size fox news is bigger but in type roughly peers now has anybody ever made a list
00:05:01.300 of let's say again last five years because you know current matters more than anything else
00:05:07.460 the last five years the number of stories that each of the networks got wrong
00:05:12.960 now could you even make such a list now under the cnn list you'd have everything from russian
00:05:20.080 collusion to blah blah blah but wouldn't you also have some things on the fox news list
00:05:26.500 because the nature of the news business is everybody gets stuff wrong
00:05:31.640 right but i don't know of any case have you heard of a case where
00:05:37.380 fox news left legitimate news out of the news have they ever been accused of that i haven't heard of
00:05:45.260 that cnn gets accused of that so there are definitely some differences going on there but i would not
00:05:52.140 judge cnn nor fox news nor any other news by the fact that they got some stories wrong is that fair
00:06:01.220 can we all agree that getting some even major stories even getting major stories wrong you have
00:06:09.080 to kind of factor that into that's just the news business how can you possibly get them all right
00:06:13.780 all the time that's that's not a thing so if you're just being reasonable you know they're going to get
00:06:18.640 some big stories wrong no matter what kind of resources or intentions they put on it
00:06:24.260 but would the lists look similar you know if you made the list and you had some way to be objective
00:06:31.220 about it would there be you know three or four things under the fox news list three or four big
00:06:37.360 things under the cnn list would they look alike sort of the same and then you'd get down to the trivial
00:06:42.880 stuff and you know more were these the opinion people or the news people so it would get murky but
00:06:49.780 also unimportant after the first five or so and then you'd have to ask which ones are important
00:06:56.900 you know is the jesse smollett case important you know you could argue it is but you could also argue
00:07:07.540 it isn't so how do you so if one has some big stories that were wrong whichever side and the other had
00:07:14.320 maybe more stories that were wrong how could you ever compare them you know so i would just say that
00:07:20.580 you should have some humility about whether or not you can tell your own side is wrong which is
00:07:27.520 actually something that most of you are already at because the the big takeaway from this data which is
00:07:34.480 totally credible is that uh republicans are far more likely to be skeptical of all authority and
00:07:44.600 to me it looks like that's the right play more right than the other side i i think it's a mistake to
00:07:52.420 be an absolutist about it you know if you're just going to say everything's false well you know i'm not
00:07:58.760 going to take that path but you can't criticize its track record i don't think if you don't have data
00:08:05.880 to support it because anecdotally it would look like the doubters have the edge for the last several
00:08:13.780 years bill maher continues to be most valuable player you know i think i should start giving out the
00:08:22.520 most valuable player award for just americans who are being useful citizens and it would have nothing
00:08:31.160 to do with you know any of your past so it does it's not about anything you did up to this point but
00:08:36.940 how'd you do this week you know did you have a good week bill maher because he he has the ability
00:08:44.020 ability to call out his own side as well as what you might say is the other side i don't know if he
00:08:49.700 would say it that way but since he can call out people of all groups i think he's just doing a
00:08:57.240 service that's probably one of the most important things happening right now in terms of our
00:09:02.900 consciousness they're just a few people just a few who can kind of cross over and take the message
00:09:10.860 through the bubbles and so he's doing it again he was apparently on overtime on his show
00:09:16.620 uh he was asked a question and he said he was happy about uh elon musk taking over a stake in
00:09:24.060 twitter because he thought it'd be good for free speech and said something i've said a lot of you
00:09:29.920 have said that twitter is a private company uh meaning meaning that the government doesn't own them
00:09:36.960 um so since it's a non-government entity they're not really bound by free speech in the usual way
00:09:43.960 but as bill maher points out it's functionally the same as banning your speech if you get banned
00:09:51.420 on twitter it's like for all practical purposes like what's the point of having a constitution
00:09:56.840 if you can find you know workarounds of this magnitude it sort of makes a joke of the constitution
00:10:03.040 so um i'm completely on that page completely on that page and i would hope most people are on that
00:10:13.280 page but he's certainly helping people to get on that page so i give him most valuable player award
00:10:19.360 good citizen again forget about anything else he did before this week because that's not part of
00:10:26.240 the mvp award this week great citizen and he even gave some uh examples of how uh discussion about the
00:10:34.940 wuhan lab was banned on twitter being being the potential source of uh the pandemic and uh again
00:10:43.980 and and then bill maher also being useful in helping people think by not saying that the virus came from
00:10:52.800 the lab saying that it we we can't rule it out which is the only thing you can say at this point
00:10:59.640 so again that's like just such a useful opinion so i said i'm gonna correct myself i'm issuing a
00:11:08.020 correction correction it's a rare thing so make sure you pay attention when i tell you i was wrong about
00:11:15.440 something so the college freshman who humiliated brian uh stelter at uh whatever that event was it was a
00:11:24.800 disinformation conference and then the freshman pointed out cnn's you know list of disinformation
00:11:30.540 and sort of embarrassed brian stelter and having to answer to that which he just appointed the
00:11:35.900 question uh and i said at the time that it looked like this the question was written by a professional
00:11:42.760 meaning that the student would be more of a setup yeah the student was on tucker carlson last night
00:11:49.460 that's that's why i'm updating my opinion apparently the freshman writes for the his college newspaper
00:11:54.760 so that fact uh that fact alone um suggests i'm going to reverse my opinion so my opinion is that
00:12:05.500 a student couldn't have written it it was just too well written but he has now a record of working for
00:12:12.180 the school paper um and so i'll say oh okay that that does suggest he has some writing talent
00:12:19.140 and so i'm going to say yes you are hearing my dog uh screaming in some kind of urgency
00:12:27.280 and i might have to leave here to find out what that is if she does it again are you okay with that
00:12:34.840 we have enough dog lovers here right if i hear her bark again i'm gonna have to go
00:12:39.780 i think she's barking at the cat but you'd all understand if i take a minute to do that right
00:12:44.900 so uh let me know if you hear it again uh so here's another example of democrats believing
00:12:52.280 whatever they're told uh true or false republicans were very early to say it sounds to me like this
00:12:59.780 black lives matter organization might be more about making money than it is about helping black people
00:13:07.160 am i right that was pretty much the republican point of view from the start now let's make a careful
00:13:15.360 distinction because these things get taken out of context i don't think any i don't think any
00:13:21.720 republican was saying uh black lives don't matter i didn't hear that right so nobody was disagreeing
00:13:29.400 with sort of the general idea that like everybody should be treated as you know equal and in every
00:13:35.540 ways that matters to black lives matter so you know just the general concept that we should all be
00:13:41.340 treated uh you know as valuable human beings everybody was on that page but but now we know
00:13:48.420 that the organization itself just you know the small group of people whose names were attached to it
00:13:53.880 it's starting to look like a little bit of sketchy stuff happened and what's important about this story
00:13:59.940 is it's coming from the huffington post so the huffington post is running stories essentially calling out
00:14:06.520 black okay there's my dog again i gotta go take care of this dog thing i will be right back
00:14:13.580 i can't find it
00:14:34.380 so she either fixed her problem
00:14:40.060 if i hear it again i'm gonna have to go take care of that again
00:14:44.860 all right so there's another non-story in cnn about uh don jr's texts
00:14:54.760 to mark meadows on november 5th um so right after the uh the election
00:15:01.180 election and don jr was passing along some legal strategies for overturning the election
00:15:09.240 and um so cnn is treating this like it's like a huge scandal and there's something really important
00:15:20.260 that happened etc let me turn on my uh my security cam so i can see the dog if she she's outdoors
00:15:30.060 she may have gotten out oh damn it that's what happened
00:15:40.960 open gate
00:15:46.980 that would suggest that my dog is at the front door where she shouldn't be
00:15:54.880 so what what is the most reliable rule of technology
00:16:04.180 that if you have video cameras all around your house
00:16:08.240 and there's one that you need to look at it'll be the one that's not working
00:16:12.460 now the camera works i look at it every day multiple times
00:16:18.220 but because it's because it's important like i really really want to see this right now
00:16:25.620 because i can't go look and my dog might be out there because it got that got out of the gate
00:16:30.140 it's the one thing that doesn't it's not working all the other cameras are working
00:16:35.060 how does that happen i'll be back
00:16:39.260 okay
00:16:48.220 yeah one of the one of the things uh
00:16:58.920 when i designed my house
00:17:03.200 i put in all kinds of uh really cool auto uh automation
00:17:08.940 none of it ever works
00:17:12.260 almost nothing that's automated in this house
00:17:16.180 works when it needs to
00:17:18.400 it all works sometimes
00:17:19.840 all right
00:17:22.360 um so i've got somebody uh
00:17:24.880 taking care of the dog thing
00:17:26.440 that's
00:17:27.680 should take care of itself
00:17:30.020 um so the cnn story is hilarious
00:17:32.360 because don jr is being let's say
00:17:36.440 attacked by cnn
00:17:39.060 for
00:17:40.980 doing the most normal thing that anybody ever did
00:17:44.420 so this is what don jr is accused of
00:17:48.020 someone sent around some suggestions
00:17:52.080 for how to legally
00:17:53.860 pause the process
00:17:56.580 i guess long enough to check things out
00:17:59.260 or
00:18:00.360 potential ways to have alternate
00:18:02.940 uh electorates or something like that
00:18:05.400 now
00:18:06.500 given that the list was
00:18:10.000 by design
00:18:11.160 things that should be legal
00:18:13.280 or could you know maybe tested
00:18:15.180 maybe they wouldn't stand the legal process
00:18:17.480 but they were
00:18:18.920 they had a legal theory behind them
00:18:20.620 now
00:18:22.380 is it illegal to send around somebody else's ideas
00:18:26.280 that are labeled as legal things to consider
00:18:29.800 legal things to consider
00:18:33.100 and then
00:18:34.260 they discard them
00:18:35.760 and don't do them
00:18:36.820 or i don't think they did
00:18:38.460 maybe they did
00:18:39.620 i can't remember
00:18:40.360 so
00:18:41.580 what
00:18:44.440 why does don jr always get in trouble
00:18:47.320 for doing uh
00:18:48.920 what all business people do
00:18:50.640 which is
00:18:52.300 remember he got in trouble
00:18:53.680 for taking a meeting with the russian
00:18:55.280 because she might have some information about
00:18:58.400 hillary clinton
00:18:59.180 and my argument was always
00:19:01.780 that's what anybody would do
00:19:04.540 anybody who had any experience in
00:19:07.420 business at all
00:19:08.820 the first thing you'd do
00:19:10.720 because it was just downstairs
00:19:12.180 the entire effort involved in going to the meeting
00:19:15.380 was taking the elevator in his own building
00:19:17.280 it was in his own building
00:19:18.920 there was somebody he knew
00:19:20.320 like a personal connection
00:19:22.640 so
00:19:23.980 who wouldn't take that meeting
00:19:25.460 because it
00:19:26.680 sounded like it could be something good
00:19:28.720 if it turned out that it was
00:19:30.680 you know
00:19:31.040 that the information came from a russian spy
00:19:33.880 then
00:19:35.060 maybe you get the fbi involved
00:19:37.500 but you're not going to call the fbi
00:19:40.000 on something that's almost certainly going to be bullshit
00:19:42.360 who does that
00:19:44.260 i wouldn't
00:19:45.880 would you
00:19:46.580 if you were almost sure
00:19:48.900 that it was really just
00:19:50.020 a meeting downstairs
00:19:51.280 and somebody knew
00:19:52.320 and
00:19:52.640 you know
00:19:53.380 you're just sort of humoring them a little bit
00:19:55.020 but you know
00:19:55.540 maybe
00:19:55.820 maybe there could be something
00:19:57.740 would you call the fbi
00:19:59.340 ahead of time
00:20:00.240 or would you find out what the information was
00:20:02.900 and
00:20:03.900 if it sounded sketchy
00:20:05.300 then call the fbi
00:20:07.040 right
00:20:08.480 so
00:20:12.940 every time
00:20:13.540 don jr
00:20:14.100 does exactly
00:20:14.880 what every smart person does
00:20:16.520 in every business setting
00:20:17.760 everywhere
00:20:18.260 all the time
00:20:19.320 on every topic
00:20:20.240 CNN can make it a scandal
00:20:23.140 so the most obvious thing
00:20:25.720 anybody does
00:20:26.420 on any topic
00:20:27.260 is take some ideas
00:20:28.620 that somebody has
00:20:29.400 and spread them
00:20:29.940 and you know
00:20:30.500 and pass them around
00:20:32.340 and then people discard the ones
00:20:34.580 that are clearly problematic
00:20:36.120 and then they maybe try one
00:20:38.460 that's the best of the bunch
00:20:39.760 like that
00:20:41.360 where's the problem
00:20:44.700 exactly
00:20:45.580 you know
00:20:46.660 it's not illegal to have
00:20:48.120 bad ideas
00:20:49.520 that you discard
00:20:50.840 is it
00:20:52.260 they're treating them
00:20:53.720 like they were bad ideas
00:20:54.920 that they accepted
00:20:55.720 but a bad idea
00:20:57.380 that you discard
00:20:58.180 is an example
00:20:59.080 of somebody doing
00:20:59.760 exactly
00:21:00.300 what everybody
00:21:01.260 should be doing
00:21:02.140 floating up
00:21:04.040 a bunch of ideas
00:21:05.000 and discarding
00:21:05.920 the bad ones
00:21:06.780 that's not a problem
00:21:09.280 that's a
00:21:09.900 that's a feature
00:21:10.580 all right
00:21:11.280 so CNN's
00:21:16.620 got more
00:21:17.340 reports on
00:21:18.640 and everybody does
00:21:20.720 I guess
00:21:21.040 about more civilian
00:21:21.980 attacks
00:21:22.560 and there's some
00:21:23.300 intercepted audio
00:21:25.040 of apparently
00:21:26.800 Russian military
00:21:27.660 talking about
00:21:28.660 killing the civilians
00:21:29.780 meaning that
00:21:31.260 they were doing it
00:21:31.900 intentionally
00:21:32.440 now
00:21:33.660 let us do
00:21:35.060 a little
00:21:35.580 check-in
00:21:36.400 with the skeptics
00:21:37.520 how many of you
00:21:39.220 would believe
00:21:39.920 a Russian language
00:21:42.020 audio
00:21:42.500 that the Ukrainians
00:21:44.980 have provided
00:21:46.180 so the source
00:21:47.100 is the Ukrainians
00:21:48.240 so the Ukrainians
00:21:49.780 have given you
00:21:50.300 an audio
00:21:51.480 that sounds like
00:21:52.880 Russian speaking
00:21:53.840 people
00:21:54.420 saying exactly
00:21:55.980 what
00:21:56.520 you'd expect
00:21:58.280 them to say
00:21:59.100 if you were
00:22:00.720 Ukraine
00:22:01.280 and you wanted
00:22:02.720 people to know
00:22:03.420 that the Russians
00:22:04.040 are doing
00:22:04.480 terrible war crimes
00:22:06.220 do you believe it
00:22:08.460 or don't believe it
00:22:10.020 of course
00:22:13.700 I said it
00:22:14.820 in a way
00:22:15.180 to set you up
00:22:15.920 not to believe it
00:22:16.660 right
00:22:16.880 but I did that
00:22:17.700 intentionally
00:22:18.160 a lot of you
00:22:19.220 don't believe it
00:22:20.020 I would say this
00:22:22.260 I would say
00:22:23.280 it's not
00:22:23.740 credible
00:22:24.400 but I'm
00:22:26.280 leaning toward
00:22:27.200 it maybe
00:22:27.720 being true
00:22:28.520 but you know
00:22:29.340 I wouldn't ask
00:22:29.980 you to believe it
00:22:30.740 yeah
00:22:32.340 see
00:22:32.960 here's the problem
00:22:34.060 the problem
00:22:35.600 is that the source
00:22:36.520 can't be trusted
00:22:37.360 at all
00:22:38.260 it is literally
00:22:39.700 the least
00:22:40.840 credible source
00:22:42.020 of all sources
00:22:43.720 the enemy
00:22:45.460 during a war
00:22:46.280 it's the least
00:22:47.860 credible source
00:22:48.720 an enemy
00:22:49.860 during the war
00:22:50.500 should be lying
00:22:51.200 as hard as they can
00:22:52.120 the only requirement
00:22:53.900 during war
00:22:55.020 that makes sense
00:22:56.660 is that your lies
00:22:58.180 are believable
00:22:58.840 or they have an impact
00:22:59.840 or they have some
00:23:00.640 military benefit
00:23:01.500 that's it
00:23:02.680 Ukraine has no
00:23:05.400 obligation to tell
00:23:06.340 the truth
00:23:06.860 do you agree
00:23:09.220 do you think
00:23:10.640 that Ukraine
00:23:11.420 under the current
00:23:12.580 situation
00:23:13.160 has some obligation
00:23:15.040 to the rest of the
00:23:15.860 world to tell the
00:23:16.520 truth
00:23:16.800 about what's going
00:23:18.140 on
00:23:18.400 I don't think so
00:23:19.200 because we're
00:23:21.560 adults
00:23:21.940 right
00:23:22.240 if we're
00:23:23.460 adults
00:23:23.920 and we see
00:23:24.620 that they're
00:23:24.980 in a war
00:23:25.580 we should not
00:23:28.540 believe anything
00:23:29.140 that either side
00:23:29.840 says
00:23:30.180 I certainly
00:23:31.420 don't believe
00:23:31.880 the Russian
00:23:32.300 version
00:23:32.700 that would be
00:23:33.820 ridiculous
00:23:34.260 but
00:23:35.300 skepticism
00:23:37.260 is warranted
00:23:37.940 now I do think
00:23:39.160 that it would be
00:23:40.420 going too far
00:23:41.180 to say
00:23:41.620 it's false
00:23:42.400 it would not
00:23:44.100 be going too far
00:23:44.900 to say
00:23:45.320 you don't know
00:23:46.240 one way or the
00:23:46.840 other
00:23:47.020 because the
00:23:47.560 source
00:23:47.920 has no
00:23:48.960 credibility
00:23:49.440 but
00:23:51.320 no matter
00:23:52.800 whether this
00:23:53.380 story is true
00:23:54.100 or not
00:23:54.520 can we agree
00:23:55.600 that atrocities
00:23:56.540 pretty much
00:23:58.000 are guaranteed
00:23:58.580 pretty much
00:24:00.200 because it's a
00:24:00.780 war
00:24:01.020 of course
00:24:02.180 there are
00:24:02.480 atrocities
00:24:03.000 of course
00:24:03.640 civilians
00:24:04.100 are being
00:24:05.120 killed
00:24:05.440 of course
00:24:06.280 they're not
00:24:06.620 being so
00:24:07.140 careful
00:24:07.500 of course
00:24:08.600 you don't
00:24:09.300 need these
00:24:09.720 anecdotes
00:24:10.300 to tell you
00:24:10.780 what you
00:24:11.000 already know
00:24:11.500 that can't
00:24:12.520 be avoided
00:24:12.940 that has
00:24:13.600 to be true
00:24:14.140 it's a war
00:24:15.340 MIT has
00:24:17.800 decided to
00:24:19.180 reinstate
00:24:19.700 the SATs
00:24:20.840 and I guess
00:24:21.940 the ACTs
00:24:22.580 as part of
00:24:24.600 their requirements
00:24:25.780 for getting in
00:24:26.500 and
00:24:28.180 interestingly
00:24:29.700 I wasn't
00:24:30.360 aware of this
00:24:30.940 but apparently
00:24:31.660 there are
00:24:32.260 studies that
00:24:32.800 say
00:24:33.020 that the
00:24:33.900 SATs
00:24:34.580 the people
00:24:34.940 who are
00:24:35.300 not in
00:24:35.740 favor of
00:24:36.120 them
00:24:36.280 they say
00:24:37.380 that the
00:24:37.880 only thing
00:24:38.320 that they
00:24:38.700 correlate
00:24:39.080 really well
00:24:39.920 with
00:24:40.200 is the
00:24:40.620 income
00:24:41.020 of the
00:24:41.260 person
00:24:41.480 who took
00:24:41.800 it
00:24:41.980 that they
00:24:43.120 don't
00:24:43.440 correlate
00:24:43.940 so well
00:24:44.820 with
00:24:45.260 I guess
00:24:46.180 future
00:24:46.900 success
00:24:47.580 and that
00:24:48.540 the thing
00:24:48.880 that does
00:24:49.260 correlate
00:24:49.600 well
00:24:49.960 is the
00:24:50.460 grades
00:24:50.800 you got
00:24:51.100 in high
00:24:51.420 school
00:24:51.640 I guess
00:24:52.060 so if
00:24:52.780 you got
00:24:53.000 good grades
00:24:53.520 in high
00:24:53.840 school
00:24:54.180 you probably
00:24:55.220 get good
00:24:55.640 grades
00:24:55.920 in college
00:24:56.420 it's fairly
00:24:57.060 predicted
00:24:57.500 but the
00:24:58.920 SATs
00:24:59.540 are not
00:25:00.040 but MIT
00:25:02.120 must disagree
00:25:03.060 or they just
00:25:03.740 like a brand
00:25:04.440 that says
00:25:04.840 you have to
00:25:05.200 be this
00:25:05.500 smart
00:25:05.740 to get in
00:25:06.220 so one
00:25:07.540 of those
00:25:07.740 two things
00:25:08.220 and what
00:25:09.900 do you
00:25:10.080 think
00:25:10.360 does it
00:25:11.000 make sense
00:25:11.520 to say
00:25:11.900 that the
00:25:12.440 the SAT
00:25:13.200 scores
00:25:13.840 correlate
00:25:15.060 with family
00:25:15.820 income
00:25:16.420 more than
00:25:17.400 future success
00:25:22.320 I'm not
00:25:25.560 sure I'm
00:25:26.440 buying that
00:25:27.020 I feel like
00:25:28.560 all of the
00:25:28.980 variables are
00:25:29.640 too bi-directional
00:25:31.240 and confounding
00:25:33.340 and stuff
00:25:33.940 I just don't
00:25:35.120 know that you
00:25:35.560 can suss
00:25:36.220 that out
00:25:36.800 if I had
00:25:38.920 a choice
00:25:39.340 of hiring
00:25:40.060 somebody
00:25:40.540 who did
00:25:41.320 well on
00:25:41.740 the SATs
00:25:42.520 versus
00:25:42.800 someone who
00:25:43.320 did not
00:25:43.920 I think
00:25:45.520 I'd take
00:25:45.900 the one
00:25:46.260 who did
00:25:46.740 now if
00:25:49.880 I had
00:25:50.200 both
00:25:50.440 if I had
00:25:50.940 their school
00:25:51.540 performance
00:25:52.360 and the
00:25:53.860 school performance
00:25:54.620 was opposite
00:25:55.440 of the SATs
00:25:56.480 which seems
00:25:57.600 kind of rare
00:25:58.300 to me
00:25:58.820 but maybe
00:25:59.860 I think
00:26:01.680 I might
00:26:02.060 weight the
00:26:02.700 school performance
00:26:03.520 higher
00:26:03.820 because you
00:26:04.180 can imagine
00:26:04.620 they had a
00:26:04.980 bad day
00:26:05.380 in the
00:26:05.620 SATs
00:26:06.160 or something
00:26:06.560 but
00:26:07.780 I don't
00:26:09.140 know
00:26:09.480 SAT
00:26:10.260 comes
00:26:10.700 I think
00:26:12.580 I'd trust
00:26:13.000 the SATs
00:26:13.900 I do
00:26:16.140 think that
00:26:16.560 there might
00:26:16.860 be like
00:26:17.240 a 20%
00:26:18.500 you know
00:26:20.600 racism
00:26:21.260 baked in
00:26:22.140 and
00:26:22.540 anti-poor
00:26:23.880 person
00:26:24.300 in general
00:26:25.760 built into
00:26:27.600 the SATs
00:26:28.720 that seems
00:26:29.140 true
00:26:29.460 but
00:26:30.580 sort of
00:26:31.720 directionally
00:26:32.380 I think
00:26:32.660 they're
00:26:33.340 reasonably
00:26:34.000 accurate
00:26:35.000 I would
00:26:35.380 imagine
00:26:35.740 so
00:26:36.720 Ali
00:26:37.280 Alexander
00:26:37.840 the
00:26:38.180 founder
00:26:39.300 I guess
00:26:39.940 he was
00:26:40.220 the
00:26:40.540 founder
00:26:41.500 of the
00:26:41.960 protest
00:26:42.680 on January
00:26:43.160 6th
00:26:44.100 and he's
00:26:44.980 going to
00:26:45.300 talk to
00:26:46.060 the
00:26:46.640 I guess
00:26:47.840 the committee
00:26:48.320 that's looking
00:26:48.820 into it
00:26:49.320 oh
00:26:50.360 the federal
00:26:50.880 grand jury
00:26:51.580 subpoenaed him
00:26:52.680 and he's
00:26:53.120 going to
00:26:54.080 talk to them
00:26:54.700 and I thought
00:26:55.860 it was interesting
00:26:56.380 how he
00:26:57.240 responded
00:26:58.600 so here are
00:27:00.140 some things
00:27:00.760 so he
00:27:01.500 created the
00:27:03.340 Save America
00:27:03.960 march
00:27:04.380 on January
00:27:05.060 6th
00:27:06.000 he denied
00:27:06.780 talking with
00:27:07.360 the White
00:27:07.660 House
00:27:08.020 about security
00:27:09.960 groups or
00:27:10.660 coordinating
00:27:11.280 plans with
00:27:12.360 the Proud Boys
00:27:12.960 so he denied
00:27:14.440 that
00:27:14.760 he says
00:27:15.600 I don't believe
00:27:16.080 I have
00:27:16.380 information that
00:27:17.080 will be useful
00:27:17.620 to them
00:27:18.060 but I'm
00:27:18.480 cooperating as
00:27:19.340 best I can
00:27:20.060 now that's
00:27:20.900 kind of perfect
00:27:21.500 isn't it
00:27:22.920 like if you're
00:27:23.540 in this situation
00:27:24.280 this is just
00:27:25.740 a perfect statement
00:27:26.520 I don't believe
00:27:27.660 I have information
00:27:28.440 that will be
00:27:29.020 useful to them
00:27:29.740 but I'm
00:27:30.540 cooperating
00:27:31.040 as best
00:27:31.460 I can
00:27:31.820 that's
00:27:32.120 that's
00:27:32.660 nice
00:27:32.980 that's
00:27:33.560 a nice
00:27:33.860 matter of
00:27:34.480 fact
00:27:34.800 it doesn't
00:27:36.480 provoke
00:27:36.960 it just says
00:27:38.700 just matter of
00:27:40.180 fact
00:27:40.400 that's a really
00:27:40.840 good take
00:27:41.560 on it
00:27:42.400 they said
00:27:44.340 quote
00:27:44.920 I did
00:27:45.300 nothing wrong
00:27:46.000 and I am
00:27:46.620 not in
00:27:46.920 possession of
00:27:47.380 evidence that
00:27:47.900 anyone else
00:27:48.580 had plans
00:27:49.260 to commit
00:27:49.720 unlawful
00:27:50.360 acts
00:27:50.820 okay
00:27:52.120 a good
00:27:52.660 clean
00:27:53.140 denial
00:27:53.640 don't you
00:27:54.600 like a
00:27:55.000 specific
00:27:55.480 and clean
00:27:56.080 denial
00:27:56.500 and that
00:27:57.440 that seemed
00:27:58.020 like I
00:27:58.620 don't see
00:27:58.880 any weaseling
00:27:59.460 in that
00:27:59.900 right
00:28:01.160 now I'm
00:28:01.760 just talking
00:28:02.120 about the
00:28:02.440 messaging
00:28:02.800 I have
00:28:03.880 no idea
00:28:04.300 what's in
00:28:04.840 anybody's
00:28:05.240 head
00:28:05.580 or what
00:28:06.440 actually
00:28:06.780 happened
00:28:07.160 that day
00:28:07.540 but in
00:28:08.120 terms of
00:28:08.440 messaging
00:28:08.800 this is
00:28:09.640 really good
00:28:10.240 and then
00:28:11.520 then he
00:28:12.760 goes on
00:28:13.200 he goes
00:28:13.540 quote
00:28:13.820 I denounce
00:28:14.660 anyone who
00:28:15.360 planned to
00:28:15.880 subvert
00:28:16.440 my permitted
00:28:17.340 event
00:28:17.820 a nice
00:28:19.200 contrast
00:28:19.780 there
00:28:20.100 subvert
00:28:21.100 his
00:28:21.380 permitted
00:28:21.920 event
00:28:22.380 and the
00:28:23.300 other
00:28:23.500 permitted
00:28:24.040 events
00:28:24.560 of that
00:28:25.040 day
00:28:25.360 on capital
00:28:26.440 grounds
00:28:26.880 to stage
00:28:27.400 any
00:28:27.760 counterproductive
00:28:28.680 activities
00:28:29.400 again
00:28:30.720 that's
00:28:31.860 really
00:28:32.100 well done
00:28:32.680 just in
00:28:34.500 terms of
00:28:34.880 communication
00:28:35.640 in public
00:28:37.440 relations
00:28:37.980 very clean
00:28:39.060 nicely done
00:28:40.040 but then
00:28:42.440 the New York
00:28:42.820 Times says
00:28:43.340 it's an
00:28:43.720 indication
00:28:44.160 that the
00:28:44.620 inquiry
00:28:45.000 could reach
00:28:45.600 into the
00:28:46.140 Trump
00:28:46.940 administration
00:28:47.580 maybe
00:28:49.300 we'll keep
00:28:50.360 an eye on
00:28:50.760 that and
00:28:51.200 see what's
00:28:51.920 up
00:28:52.760 but
00:28:53.660 now I
00:28:55.220 promised you
00:28:55.860 in the
00:28:56.260 title
00:28:56.520 and how
00:28:57.040 many of
00:28:57.300 you stayed
00:28:57.620 around
00:28:57.860 for this
00:28:58.280 okay
00:28:59.960 we've got
00:29:01.160 we've got
00:29:03.200 a weekend
00:29:03.860 sized group
00:29:04.760 I'm going to
00:29:06.300 give you a
00:29:07.260 mushroom like
00:29:09.120 experience
00:29:09.680 but without
00:29:10.160 any mushrooms
00:29:10.800 now everybody
00:29:12.200 asks
00:29:12.620 what's it
00:29:13.300 like
00:29:13.640 when people
00:29:15.220 have not
00:29:15.760 done any
00:29:16.400 kind of
00:29:16.780 psychedelic
00:29:17.500 ask people
00:29:18.520 have
00:29:18.980 it's a
00:29:20.220 horrible job
00:29:21.060 trying to
00:29:21.480 explain it
00:29:22.200 because it
00:29:23.640 defies
00:29:24.340 explanation
00:29:24.960 if you
00:29:25.660 could explain
00:29:26.220 it in
00:29:26.540 words
00:29:27.000 you wouldn't
00:29:28.120 need to
00:29:28.440 do it
00:29:28.840 you could
00:29:30.040 just read
00:29:30.420 a book
00:29:30.700 about it
00:29:31.260 so it
00:29:32.200 is by
00:29:32.660 definition
00:29:33.320 impossible
00:29:34.720 to explain
00:29:35.540 and I'm
00:29:36.680 sure everybody
00:29:37.200 has something
00:29:37.960 that's a little
00:29:38.540 bit unique
00:29:39.260 right
00:29:39.980 that their
00:29:41.980 own experience
00:29:42.620 is a little
00:29:43.040 bit unique
00:29:43.560 so I'm
00:29:46.740 going to
00:29:46.880 give you
00:29:47.340 just a
00:29:48.140 little taste
00:29:49.480 of something
00:29:50.040 that will
00:29:50.880 get you
00:29:51.320 in sort
00:29:52.420 of that
00:29:52.680 mindset
00:29:53.260 a little
00:29:54.760 bit
00:29:55.060 I'm going
00:29:56.340 to bend
00:29:56.860 your
00:29:57.320 assumptions
00:29:58.180 about reality
00:29:59.260 just a
00:30:00.860 little
00:30:01.040 and I'm
00:30:02.180 going to
00:30:02.300 start with
00:30:02.700 a story
00:30:03.180 and the
00:30:04.920 most provocative
00:30:05.700 first sentence
00:30:06.640 of a book
00:30:07.320 that could
00:30:08.040 ever be
00:30:08.540 I once
00:30:11.020 hypnotized
00:30:11.920 a psychic
00:30:12.600 wouldn't
00:30:14.060 that be a
00:30:14.460 good opening
00:30:14.920 line for a
00:30:15.480 book
00:30:15.660 I once
00:30:16.920 hypnotized
00:30:17.920 a psychic
00:30:18.620 true story
00:30:19.660 now the
00:30:20.440 psychic
00:30:20.700 claimed to
00:30:21.460 be a
00:30:21.700 psychic
00:30:21.960 you know
00:30:22.860 that was
00:30:23.340 her claim
00:30:23.780 and the
00:30:25.020 reason I
00:30:25.380 did it
00:30:25.640 was because
00:30:26.220 psychics
00:30:27.040 are
00:30:27.340 notoriously
00:30:28.660 easy to
00:30:29.380 hypnotize
00:30:30.020 anecdotally
00:30:31.820 don't know
00:30:32.340 if there's
00:30:32.620 any science
00:30:33.100 to that
00:30:33.460 and I
00:30:34.200 was a
00:30:34.600 trained
00:30:34.840 hypnotist
00:30:35.360 and I
00:30:35.600 was
00:30:35.720 practicing
00:30:36.440 now one
00:30:37.320 of the
00:30:37.480 things that
00:30:37.840 she said
00:30:38.360 once she
00:30:39.780 was under
00:30:40.400 hypnosis
00:30:40.980 was she
00:30:42.520 explained to
00:30:43.060 me that
00:30:43.520 in the
00:30:44.860 psychic
00:30:45.200 realm
00:30:45.780 if there
00:30:46.820 is such
00:30:47.140 a thing
00:30:47.460 that the
00:30:48.720 arrow of
00:30:49.280 time was
00:30:50.120 not one
00:30:50.920 directional
00:30:51.420 in other
00:30:52.720 words she
00:30:53.140 could not
00:30:53.600 tell if
00:30:54.640 she was
00:30:54.980 predicting
00:30:55.360 something that
00:30:55.980 was going
00:30:56.380 to happen
00:30:56.880 or she
00:30:58.040 was telling
00:30:58.440 you something
00:30:58.860 that had
00:30:59.380 happened that
00:31:00.400 she couldn't
00:31:00.840 know about
00:31:01.340 that those
00:31:02.960 two things
00:31:03.540 were identical
00:31:04.140 she could
00:31:05.080 only see
00:31:05.880 them but
00:31:07.000 she couldn't
00:31:07.480 put a timer
00:31:08.040 on them
00:31:08.560 and I
00:31:10.120 thought isn't
00:31:10.740 that interesting
00:31:11.240 now I'm not
00:31:12.300 telling you I
00:31:12.720 believe in
00:31:13.140 psychics
00:31:13.660 I'm just
00:31:15.120 telling you
00:31:15.500 what the
00:31:15.760 experience
00:31:16.200 was and
00:31:17.340 you can
00:31:17.620 make your
00:31:17.960 own
00:31:18.280 conclusions
00:31:18.920 about this
00:31:19.500 what I'm
00:31:20.320 really doing
00:31:20.740 is just
00:31:21.100 priming you
00:31:21.760 I'm just
00:31:23.100 putting your
00:31:23.540 mind in a
00:31:24.100 certain
00:31:24.380 mindset
00:31:25.280 just opening
00:31:26.520 up the
00:31:27.140 let's say
00:31:28.320 your imagination
00:31:29.080 so only
00:31:30.940 thing I'm
00:31:31.320 going to
00:31:31.480 ask for
00:31:32.020 you is
00:31:33.600 that you
00:31:34.160 imagine
00:31:34.900 it I
00:31:36.120 won't ask
00:31:36.560 you to
00:31:36.840 change your
00:31:37.300 mind about
00:31:37.740 anything
00:31:38.060 we're just
00:31:39.160 going to do
00:31:39.520 some
00:31:39.780 imagining
00:31:40.400 and
00:31:41.740 one of
00:31:43.520 the things
00:31:43.840 that mushrooms
00:31:44.520 did for
00:31:46.120 me
00:31:46.400 in the
00:31:47.860 one
00:31:48.200 example
00:31:49.060 that I
00:31:49.400 took
00:31:49.580 them
00:31:49.760 and by
00:31:50.100 the way
00:31:50.280 I don't
00:31:50.620 recommend
00:31:51.040 any drug
00:31:52.460 for anybody
00:31:53.220 right
00:31:53.920 that's
00:31:54.580 for your
00:31:55.140 doctor
00:31:55.460 and you
00:31:55.720 to figure
00:31:56.020 out
00:31:56.280 but
00:31:58.640 one of
00:31:59.260 the things
00:31:59.500 you find
00:31:59.900 out
00:32:00.200 is that
00:32:00.760 some of
00:32:01.040 your most
00:32:01.380 basic
00:32:01.840 assumptions
00:32:02.320 about
00:32:02.820 reality
00:32:03.520 may be
00:32:05.420 not so
00:32:06.080 right
00:32:06.580 and
00:32:08.160 you might
00:32:08.960 not find
00:32:09.420 out a
00:32:09.820 better
00:32:10.100 assumption
00:32:10.780 about
00:32:11.080 reality
00:32:11.480 because
00:32:11.820 you took
00:32:12.180 a
00:32:12.480 psychedelic
00:32:13.180 but
00:32:14.380 you might
00:32:14.760 come out
00:32:15.140 of it
00:32:15.360 thinking
00:32:15.680 that the
00:32:16.240 impression
00:32:16.780 of reality
00:32:17.380 you used
00:32:18.000 to have
00:32:18.440 is not
00:32:19.780 so stable
00:32:20.420 and that
00:32:21.780 could actually
00:32:22.240 be useful
00:32:22.820 because it
00:32:23.600 means you're
00:32:23.960 not locked
00:32:24.440 into whatever
00:32:25.060 is bothering
00:32:25.600 you
00:32:25.860 if you're
00:32:27.000 locked into
00:32:27.860 a mental
00:32:28.260 loop
00:32:28.680 the mushrooms
00:32:30.520 can just
00:32:31.040 tell you
00:32:31.420 you don't
00:32:31.800 have to be
00:32:32.520 there
00:32:32.740 and maybe
00:32:33.960 that's
00:32:34.200 enough
00:32:34.500 and then
00:32:35.040 you just
00:32:35.280 lose the
00:32:36.020 loop
00:32:36.260 or lose
00:32:36.720 that frame
00:32:37.220 so
00:32:38.460 I want
00:32:39.440 to talk
00:32:39.700 about
00:32:40.000 a prophecy
00:32:40.820 versus
00:32:41.380 a plan
00:32:41.960 prophecy
00:32:44.060 means that
00:32:44.920 you see
00:32:45.500 something
00:32:45.820 in your
00:32:46.400 mind
00:32:46.800 in the
00:32:47.120 future
00:32:47.440 now if
00:32:49.160 you prophesize
00:32:49.980 it
00:32:50.200 that just
00:32:51.420 means you
00:32:51.740 see it
00:32:52.220 right
00:32:52.640 it doesn't
00:32:53.000 mean you're
00:32:53.280 doing anything
00:32:53.640 about it
00:32:54.460 now what
00:32:55.580 would be the
00:32:55.960 difference between
00:32:56.460 that and a
00:32:57.120 plan
00:32:57.460 well a plan
00:32:59.380 would be
00:33:00.460 something where
00:33:00.960 you say okay
00:33:01.440 I see where
00:33:02.420 I'm going
00:33:02.880 but I also
00:33:03.400 see that I'm
00:33:04.020 going to need
00:33:04.340 these steps
00:33:04.960 and without
00:33:06.120 the steps
00:33:06.780 you know that
00:33:08.200 the vision
00:33:09.220 isn't going to
00:33:09.720 happen
00:33:10.020 right
00:33:11.000 so you'd
00:33:11.940 say those
00:33:12.300 are very
00:33:12.600 different
00:33:12.980 right
00:33:13.340 there's a
00:33:14.260 big difference
00:33:14.980 between just
00:33:16.000 having a vision
00:33:16.820 of something
00:33:17.480 versus having a
00:33:18.780 plan to get
00:33:19.500 there
00:33:19.740 now a third
00:33:21.720 thing that's
00:33:22.240 different from
00:33:22.760 those two
00:33:23.280 is imagination
00:33:24.760 suppose you
00:33:26.620 just like to
00:33:27.260 imagine yourself
00:33:28.640 in the future
00:33:29.280 it's not a
00:33:30.300 plan
00:33:30.640 it's not a
00:33:31.400 prophecy
00:33:31.760 you just
00:33:33.020 like to spend
00:33:33.740 time in your
00:33:34.340 imagination
00:33:34.880 you know
00:33:35.380 someday
00:33:36.720 wouldn't that
00:33:37.600 be cool
00:33:38.120 well imagine
00:33:38.820 if this
00:33:39.220 happened
00:33:39.620 imagine if
00:33:41.000 it happened
00:33:41.420 now I'm
00:33:42.480 going to
00:33:42.660 tell you a
00:33:43.080 true story
00:33:43.620 about me
00:33:44.180 from a
00:33:46.900 very young
00:33:47.380 age
00:33:47.720 probably
00:33:48.340 teenager
00:33:49.460 or so
00:33:50.180 I like to
00:33:52.000 imagine
00:33:52.500 something in
00:33:53.180 particular
00:33:53.600 now there
00:33:54.220 were a number
00:33:54.580 of things I
00:33:55.020 like to
00:33:55.300 imagine
00:33:55.580 I like to
00:33:56.020 imagine
00:33:56.320 I could
00:33:56.760 fly
00:33:57.180 I'd imagine
00:33:58.440 myself flying
00:33:59.200 over the
00:33:59.600 town
00:33:59.960 etc
00:34:00.440 and I
00:34:01.920 like to
00:34:02.200 imagine
00:34:02.520 that when
00:34:03.580 I was young
00:34:04.240 I like to
00:34:04.800 imagine that
00:34:05.260 I would
00:34:05.460 become a
00:34:05.960 famous
00:34:06.340 cartoonist
00:34:07.200 and I
00:34:09.380 would just
00:34:09.760 imagine what
00:34:10.900 that would
00:34:11.160 be like
00:34:11.700 oh wouldn't
00:34:12.560 that be
00:34:12.840 great if
00:34:13.340 my job
00:34:14.080 was just
00:34:14.900 like drawing
00:34:15.420 cartoons
00:34:16.040 and what
00:34:17.160 if it really
00:34:17.880 worked out
00:34:18.540 I'd be
00:34:19.720 thinking
00:34:20.080 now I
00:34:22.400 can't say
00:34:22.800 that I had
00:34:23.100 a plan
00:34:23.560 exactly
00:34:24.080 and I'm
00:34:24.880 not
00:34:25.080 it felt
00:34:26.600 like a
00:34:26.980 prophecy
00:34:27.360 sometimes
00:34:28.040 but what
00:34:29.160 I was
00:34:29.420 actually doing
00:34:30.060 was just
00:34:30.500 imagining it
00:34:31.200 I was just
00:34:32.380 taking a
00:34:32.980 pleasant thing
00:34:33.660 to imagine
00:34:34.200 and then
00:34:35.000 imagining it
00:34:35.720 now this
00:34:37.020 is the
00:34:37.320 point
00:34:37.560 where I'm
00:34:38.240 going to
00:34:38.400 tell you
00:34:38.700 why I'm
00:34:39.000 really
00:34:39.200 talking
00:34:39.520 about
00:34:39.740 this
00:34:40.060 some
00:34:42.180 people
00:34:42.940 watching
00:34:43.340 this
00:34:43.720 not the
00:34:44.860 majority
00:34:45.280 but some
00:34:46.420 of you
00:34:46.740 let's say
00:34:47.500 out of a
00:34:47.860 hundred
00:34:48.200 any hundred
00:34:49.900 a few
00:34:50.920 of you
00:34:51.300 are going
00:34:52.200 to have
00:34:52.400 a profound
00:34:52.960 experience
00:34:53.720 not all
00:34:55.080 of you
00:34:55.360 but you
00:34:56.040 get to
00:34:56.340 play along
00:34:56.800 as well
00:34:57.200 and the
00:34:59.440 profound
00:34:59.800 experience
00:35:00.340 is that
00:35:01.980 you believe
00:35:02.740 that there's
00:35:03.260 this big
00:35:03.660 difference
00:35:04.160 between
00:35:05.340 imagining
00:35:06.380 something
00:35:06.900 having a
00:35:08.640 vision
00:35:08.960 or a
00:35:09.840 prophecy
00:35:10.240 whatever
00:35:10.620 word you
00:35:11.060 want to
00:35:11.260 put on
00:35:11.580 it
00:35:11.820 just
00:35:12.280 seeing
00:35:12.820 it
00:35:13.080 you
00:35:13.460 don't
00:35:13.620 know
00:35:13.760 why
00:35:14.000 well
00:35:14.260 it's
00:35:14.480 just
00:35:14.640 there
00:35:14.920 and
00:35:16.040 planning
00:35:16.440 to get
00:35:16.860 somewhere
00:35:17.160 also
00:35:21.140 from about
00:35:22.660 my teenage
00:35:23.220 years
00:35:23.780 I had
00:35:24.700 this
00:35:24.960 cool
00:35:25.580 imaginary
00:35:26.360 thought
00:35:26.960 that
00:35:28.200 someday
00:35:28.600 through
00:35:29.700 it didn't
00:35:30.400 matter
00:35:30.640 how the
00:35:31.060 sequence
00:35:31.460 of events
00:35:31.860 happened
00:35:32.220 I would
00:35:33.360 be asked
00:35:33.840 to visit
00:35:34.540 the
00:35:34.900 president
00:35:35.380 of the
00:35:35.680 united
00:35:35.920 states
00:35:36.340 in the
00:35:36.740 oval
00:35:36.980 office
00:35:37.420 and he
00:35:38.680 would
00:35:38.820 ask
00:35:39.080 my
00:35:39.540 advice
00:35:39.900 on
00:35:40.100 something
00:35:40.420 and
00:35:42.660 there
00:35:43.840 wasn't
00:35:44.060 any
00:35:44.200 reason
00:35:44.520 for it
00:35:44.920 it was
00:35:45.160 just
00:35:45.340 like
00:35:45.540 a
00:35:45.800 pleasant
00:35:46.080 cool
00:35:46.460 thing
00:35:46.740 to
00:35:46.920 think
00:35:47.120 of
00:35:47.340 and so
00:35:48.460 I've
00:35:48.700 been
00:35:48.840 thinking
00:35:49.100 of that
00:35:49.380 since
00:35:49.620 I was
00:35:49.860 a
00:35:50.000 teenager
00:35:50.340 now
00:35:52.200 some
00:35:53.820 of you
00:35:54.060 know
00:35:54.220 that
00:35:54.400 happened
00:35:54.780 in
00:35:55.560 2018
00:35:56.080 I was
00:35:57.020 in the
00:35:57.440 oval
00:35:57.640 office
00:35:58.060 chatting
00:35:58.720 with
00:35:58.960 Trump
00:35:59.260 and
00:36:00.460 I told
00:36:01.300 you
00:36:01.460 he asked
00:36:01.740 my opinion
00:36:02.220 about who
00:36:02.760 he'd
00:36:03.020 end up
00:36:03.780 running
00:36:04.040 against
00:36:04.400 I said
00:36:04.800 Kamala
00:36:05.120 Harris
00:36:05.460 he said
00:36:06.640 Joe
00:36:06.960 Biden
00:36:07.320 was his
00:36:07.860 guess
00:36:08.180 he was
00:36:09.200 a better
00:36:09.460 guesser
00:36:09.860 than me
00:36:10.240 so that's
00:36:12.220 why I can
00:36:12.620 tell you
00:36:12.900 the story
00:36:13.340 I know
00:36:14.300 he wouldn't
00:36:14.720 mind
00:36:15.120 you know
00:36:16.460 that's the
00:36:17.040 one thing
00:36:17.360 I can tell
00:36:17.800 you
00:36:17.960 because he
00:36:18.540 wouldn't
00:36:18.760 mind
00:36:19.120 that I
00:36:19.800 told you
00:36:20.120 that he
00:36:20.420 knew years
00:36:20.940 in advance
00:36:21.360 what was
00:36:21.700 going to
00:36:21.900 happen
00:36:22.180 right
00:36:23.100 I mean
00:36:23.380 he called
00:36:23.720 it
00:36:23.960 so
00:36:24.680 that special
00:36:25.680 case
00:36:26.100 I think
00:36:26.480 I think
00:36:26.920 I could
00:36:27.200 tell you
00:36:27.500 what happened
00:36:27.880 so in
00:36:29.700 so in
00:36:31.060 truth
00:36:31.400 that actually
00:36:32.860 happened
00:36:33.180 now
00:36:34.100 did I do
00:36:35.760 anything
00:36:36.300 intentionally
00:36:38.420 to make
00:36:39.020 that happen
00:36:39.540 I don't
00:36:41.800 know
00:36:42.100 I do
00:36:43.260 know
00:36:43.480 that I
00:36:43.820 was always
00:36:44.160 interested in
00:36:44.720 politics
00:36:45.240 as a
00:36:46.140 hobby
00:36:46.400 I do
00:36:47.420 know
00:36:47.700 that I
00:36:48.300 was drawn
00:36:48.720 into this
00:36:49.200 live streaming
00:36:49.900 stuff
00:36:50.320 and I do
00:36:50.800 know
00:36:50.960 that I
00:36:51.200 started
00:36:51.520 tweeting
00:36:51.940 and I
00:36:52.960 do know
00:36:53.320 that when
00:36:53.700 Trump
00:36:54.240 came on
00:36:54.620 the scene
00:36:55.060 I thought
00:36:55.540 he was
00:36:55.720 more
00:36:55.920 interesting
00:36:56.340 than other
00:36:56.820 people
00:36:57.160 in the
00:36:57.560 persuasion
00:36:58.020 world
00:36:58.440 and it
00:36:59.260 fit with
00:36:59.660 what I
00:36:59.980 already
00:37:00.220 knew
00:37:00.540 and so
00:37:00.900 I wrote
00:37:01.220 about it
00:37:01.720 and one
00:37:03.080 thing led
00:37:03.480 to another
00:37:03.940 and there
00:37:05.200 I was
00:37:05.620 literally
00:37:06.940 in the
00:37:07.240 Oval
00:37:07.480 Office
00:37:07.900 it was
00:37:08.920 just the
00:37:09.260 damnedest
00:37:09.660 thing
00:37:09.880 now
00:37:10.700 the two
00:37:12.020 examples
00:37:12.660 I gave
00:37:13.080 you
00:37:13.320 aren't
00:37:13.960 even the
00:37:14.360 only ones
00:37:15.020 I mean
00:37:16.240 if they
00:37:16.480 were the
00:37:16.720 only ones
00:37:17.120 it would
00:37:17.300 be a
00:37:17.920 good enough
00:37:18.240 story
00:37:18.560 by itself
00:37:19.160 but
00:37:19.960 consistently
00:37:20.640 I find
00:37:21.900 that
00:37:22.220 things I
00:37:23.200 simply imagined
00:37:24.080 for fun
00:37:24.920 literally
00:37:26.300 just to
00:37:26.820 feel good
00:37:27.440 before I
00:37:28.680 go to
00:37:28.940 sleep
00:37:29.180 usually
00:37:29.500 it was
00:37:30.260 a trick
00:37:30.740 I would
00:37:31.000 do
00:37:31.240 trying to
00:37:31.800 fall asleep
00:37:32.420 instead of
00:37:33.640 thinking of
00:37:34.060 the past
00:37:34.660 and instead
00:37:35.780 of thinking of
00:37:36.360 the real
00:37:36.760 future
00:37:37.160 like my
00:37:37.760 to-do list
00:37:38.300 for tomorrow
00:37:38.880 I never
00:37:40.020 think about
00:37:40.400 the past
00:37:40.880 I never
00:37:41.220 think about
00:37:41.620 the to-do list
00:37:42.420 I imagine
00:37:43.700 something that
00:37:44.380 would just
00:37:44.720 really be cool
00:37:45.600 someday in the
00:37:46.380 future
00:37:46.660 and I don't
00:37:47.860 try to imagine
00:37:48.740 something tomorrow
00:37:49.660 because that's
00:37:51.360 too easy
00:37:51.700 to falsify
00:37:52.500 like your
00:37:53.440 brain won't
00:37:53.920 let you
00:37:54.200 imagine
00:37:54.580 something
00:37:54.940 that you
00:37:55.180 think
00:37:55.320 that's
00:37:55.560 not
00:37:55.680 going to
00:37:55.820 happen
00:37:56.000 tomorrow
00:37:56.480 but if
00:37:57.420 you say
00:37:57.640 you know
00:37:57.960 in years
00:37:58.440 from now
00:37:59.020 some years
00:38:00.100 from now
00:38:00.500 this cool
00:38:01.100 thing might
00:38:01.560 be happening
00:38:02.060 you can
00:38:03.160 embrace that
00:38:04.260 now here's
00:38:06.480 the tip
00:38:06.820 that's going
00:38:07.180 to change
00:38:07.460 some of
00:38:07.720 your lives
00:38:08.260 you cannot
00:38:08.940 stop thinking
00:38:09.960 about something
00:38:10.640 you don't
00:38:11.780 have the
00:38:12.100 power
00:38:12.400 brains
00:38:13.200 don't work
00:38:13.640 that way
00:38:13.980 you can't
00:38:15.080 say
00:38:15.320 stop thinking
00:38:16.420 about the
00:38:16.820 elephant
00:38:17.140 don't
00:38:18.440 no
00:38:18.620 don't think
00:38:19.100 of that
00:38:19.340 elephant
00:38:19.720 stop
00:38:20.700 thinking
00:38:21.200 about the
00:38:21.560 elephant
00:38:21.940 the more
00:38:22.960 you say
00:38:23.280 stop thinking
00:38:23.840 about the
00:38:24.160 elephant
00:38:24.420 the more
00:38:24.800 you think
00:38:25.100 about the
00:38:25.400 damn
00:38:25.600 elephant
00:38:25.920 you can't
00:38:26.940 stop thinking
00:38:27.480 about things
00:38:28.000 but what you
00:38:29.240 can do
00:38:29.720 is fill up
00:38:31.000 your shelf
00:38:31.420 space
00:38:31.860 you can fill
00:38:33.540 your mind
00:38:34.020 with something
00:38:34.500 pleasant
00:38:34.900 and then there's
00:38:36.160 just not as
00:38:36.760 much room
00:38:37.420 oh yeah
00:38:38.240 the bad
00:38:39.180 thing will get
00:38:39.680 in and it'll
00:38:40.620 keep chipping
00:38:41.100 away
00:38:41.460 it's going
00:38:42.160 to keep
00:38:42.400 opening the
00:38:42.960 door
00:38:43.260 it's going
00:38:43.920 to keep
00:38:44.160 trying to
00:38:44.600 pry up the
00:38:45.260 window
00:38:45.540 it's going
00:38:46.180 to be trying
00:38:46.520 to get in
00:38:46.940 from every
00:38:47.400 angle
00:38:47.800 but hold
00:38:48.980 it off
00:38:49.440 if you get
00:38:50.340 a strong
00:38:50.820 enough
00:38:51.180 positive
00:38:52.100 imaginary
00:38:53.400 this is the
00:38:54.120 key
00:38:54.360 imaginary
00:38:55.400 future
00:38:56.180 image
00:38:57.280 that's really
00:38:58.040 pleasant
00:38:58.520 you can live
00:38:59.740 in it
00:39:00.120 and keep
00:39:02.140 the cooties
00:39:02.700 out
00:39:03.020 you know
00:39:03.400 you can keep
00:39:03.880 the monsters
00:39:04.380 out
00:39:04.780 and the longer
00:39:05.940 you do it
00:39:06.640 the less power
00:39:08.200 the monsters
00:39:08.820 have
00:39:09.200 because here's
00:39:10.380 the most
00:39:10.720 important thing
00:39:11.480 you need to
00:39:11.900 know about
00:39:12.300 a brain
00:39:12.840 what it
00:39:14.900 thinks about
00:39:15.740 it thinks
00:39:17.020 matters
00:39:17.520 it doesn't
00:39:19.880 think about
00:39:20.400 the things
00:39:20.820 that matter
00:39:21.380 what it
00:39:22.780 thinks about
00:39:23.460 is what
00:39:25.060 matters
00:39:25.520 if you
00:39:26.860 understand
00:39:27.240 that
00:39:27.680 you understand
00:39:28.660 the most
00:39:28.940 basic thing
00:39:29.620 about the
00:39:30.000 brain
00:39:30.300 and how
00:39:30.680 to reprogram
00:39:31.340 it
00:39:31.620 that's how
00:39:32.900 a hypnotist
00:39:33.460 can reprogram
00:39:34.260 you
00:39:34.420 just the
00:39:34.860 basic
00:39:35.160 truth
00:39:35.620 whatever
00:39:36.520 I make
00:39:37.080 you think
00:39:37.580 about
00:39:37.920 is what
00:39:38.480 matters
00:39:38.880 if you
00:39:40.360 think
00:39:40.600 that
00:39:40.780 the
00:39:40.920 things
00:39:41.120 you
00:39:41.320 think
00:39:41.580 about
00:39:41.840 are
00:39:42.020 because
00:39:42.280 there
00:39:42.480 are
00:39:42.560 good
00:39:42.760 reasons
00:39:43.300 sometimes
00:39:44.940 I mean
00:39:45.300 if it's
00:39:45.560 a national
00:39:46.000 emergency
00:39:46.400 yeah
00:39:46.680 there's
00:39:46.920 a good
00:39:47.100 reason
00:39:47.360 but most
00:39:48.740 of the
00:39:49.020 stuff
00:39:49.260 you think
00:39:49.680 about
00:39:50.000 it's
00:39:51.020 because
00:39:51.220 you're
00:39:51.480 thinking
00:39:51.700 about
00:39:52.020 it
00:39:52.240 it's
00:39:52.980 not
00:39:53.260 because
00:39:53.540 it's
00:39:53.780 important
00:39:54.200 that's
00:39:55.440 the most
00:39:55.760 important
00:39:56.100 thing
00:39:56.380 so
00:39:56.920 simply
00:39:57.320 make
00:39:57.640 yourself
00:39:58.020 think
00:39:58.520 about
00:39:58.840 more
00:39:59.420 minutes
00:39:59.920 of
00:40:00.240 something
00:40:00.580 else
00:40:00.980 because
00:40:02.060 the more
00:40:02.420 minutes
00:40:02.880 you can
00:40:03.200 make yourself
00:40:03.700 think
00:40:04.000 about
00:40:04.300 something
00:40:04.860 else
00:40:05.320 the fewer
00:40:06.400 minutes
00:40:06.800 to that
00:40:07.180 other
00:40:07.340 thing
00:40:07.660 and it
00:40:07.940 just
00:40:08.100 starts
00:40:08.340 to
00:40:08.520 shrink
00:40:08.820 and you
00:40:09.860 can
00:40:09.960 just
00:40:10.120 shrink
00:40:10.360 it
00:40:10.540 shrink
00:40:10.920 it
00:40:11.040 shrink
00:40:11.280 it
00:40:11.400 and the
00:40:12.460 beauty
00:40:12.720 of this
00:40:13.120 is that
00:40:13.680 you can
00:40:13.920 take
00:40:14.140 control
00:40:14.580 over your
00:40:15.020 mind
00:40:15.400 and your
00:40:15.740 life
00:40:16.120 because
00:40:16.960 thinking
00:40:17.420 about
00:40:17.700 something
00:40:18.020 really
00:40:18.420 cool
00:40:18.800 that
00:40:19.000 might
00:40:19.240 happen
00:40:19.560 to you
00:40:19.800 in the
00:40:20.000 future
00:40:20.340 is
00:40:21.180 something
00:40:21.440 everybody
00:40:21.800 can
00:40:22.040 do
00:40:22.300 you
00:40:23.320 can
00:40:23.460 do
00:40:23.580 it
00:40:23.680 a lot
00:40:24.140 you
00:40:24.680 can
00:40:24.800 do
00:40:24.920 it
00:40:25.020 all
00:40:25.120 the
00:40:25.280 time
00:40:25.620 you
00:40:26.060 can
00:40:26.180 do
00:40:26.320 it
00:40:26.400 while
00:40:26.520 you're
00:40:26.680 stuck
00:40:26.900 in
00:40:27.060 line
00:40:27.260 you
00:40:27.420 can
00:40:27.520 do
00:40:27.620 it
00:40:27.700 while
00:40:37.180 imagine
00:40:37.400 them
00:40:37.700 remember
00:40:38.360 the
00:40:38.580 visual
00:40:38.960 part
00:40:39.260 of
00:40:39.340 your
00:40:39.460 brain
00:40:39.720 is
00:40:39.900 the
00:40:40.000 important
00:40:40.280 part
00:40:40.580 so
00:40:41.040 you've
00:40:41.220 got
00:40:41.340 to
00:40:41.460 imagine
00:40:41.760 it
00:40:41.980 in
00:40:42.280 vision
00:40:43.520 don't
00:40:44.360 imagine
00:40:44.700 it
00:40:44.860 in
00:40:44.900 words
00:40:45.180 don't
00:40:45.440 imagine
00:40:45.740 it
00:40:45.880 just
00:40:46.060 in
00:40:46.200 sound
00:40:46.540 you
00:40:46.780 could
00:40:46.940 as
00:40:47.140 smell
00:40:47.500 smells
00:40:48.320 good
00:40:48.580 imagine
00:40:48.980 a smell
00:40:49.360 that's
00:40:50.020 very
00:40:50.180 powerful
00:40:50.520 but
00:40:51.140 just
00:40:51.380 visualize
00:40:51.880 yourself
00:40:52.360 there
00:40:52.660 feel
00:40:52.980 the
00:40:53.140 people
00:40:53.420 feel
00:40:53.700 the
00:40:53.840 handshakes
00:40:54.320 feel
00:40:54.540 the
00:40:54.720 looks
00:40:55.020 feel
00:40:55.600 just
00:40:55.820 feel
00:40:56.100 yourself
00:40:56.460 in
00:40:56.620 that
00:40:56.780 future
00:40:57.100 and
00:40:57.700 that
00:40:57.880 becomes
00:40:58.380 the
00:40:58.540 thing
00:40:58.740 that's
00:40:58.940 important
00:40:59.320 and
00:41:00.420 everything
00:41:00.660 else
00:41:00.900 will
00:41:01.020 start
00:41:01.180 to
00:41:01.340 fade
00:41:01.620 now
00:41:02.920 if
00:41:03.040 you're
00:41:03.200 lucky
00:41:03.460 and
00:41:03.720 you
00:41:03.820 thought
00:41:04.000 of
00:41:04.100 something
00:41:04.380 that's
00:41:04.660 cool
00:41:05.260 and
00:41:06.040 maybe
00:41:06.280 possible
00:41:06.880 you
00:41:08.580 may
00:41:08.760 have
00:41:08.880 discovered
00:41:09.280 that
00:41:09.740 you
00:41:10.020 live
00:41:10.540 in
00:41:10.660 a
00:41:10.800 simulation
00:41:11.280 or
00:41:12.300 that
00:41:12.680 reality
00:41:13.720 doesn't
00:41:14.120 work
00:41:14.360 exactly
00:41:14.840 the way
00:41:15.140 you
00:41:15.260 thought
00:41:15.540 that
00:41:16.240 wouldn't
00:41:16.460 be
00:41:16.580 a
00:41:16.680 big
00:41:16.820 surprise
00:41:17.220 would
00:41:17.440 it
00:41:17.880 suppose
00:41:18.440 you
00:41:18.680 found
00:41:18.920 out
00:41:19.100 that
00:41:19.260 reality
00:41:19.740 wasn't
00:41:20.180 quite
00:41:20.480 wired
00:41:20.940 the way
00:41:21.320 you
00:41:21.480 thought
00:41:21.780 it's
00:41:23.040 still
00:41:23.200 mostly
00:41:23.560 intact
00:41:24.000 but
00:41:24.220 there's
00:41:24.440 something
00:41:24.780 about
00:41:25.060 it
00:41:25.160 you
00:41:25.240 didn't
00:41:25.420 know
00:41:25.620 that
00:41:25.800 wouldn't
00:41:26.000 be
00:41:26.140 surprising
00:41:26.540 would
00:41:26.880 it
00:41:27.060 we
00:41:28.240 find
00:41:28.500 out
00:41:28.640 surprising
00:41:29.040 things
00:41:29.420 about
00:41:29.660 the
00:41:29.900 nature
00:41:30.100 of
00:41:30.260 reality
00:41:30.540 fairly
00:41:30.920 often
00:41:31.240 so
00:41:32.800 here's
00:41:33.120 one
00:41:33.260 that's
00:41:33.440 going to
00:41:33.640 blow
00:41:33.860 your
00:41:34.080 mind
00:41:34.520 people
00:41:36.860 who
00:41:37.060 take
00:41:37.320 mushrooms
00:41:37.900 sometimes
00:41:39.760 not
00:41:40.700 every
00:41:40.940 person
00:41:41.300 but
00:41:42.400 this
00:41:42.700 is
00:41:42.840 the
00:41:42.980 sort
00:41:43.160 of
00:41:43.260 thing
00:41:43.420 you
00:41:43.560 might
00:41:43.820 understand
00:41:44.460 there's
00:41:47.500 no
00:41:47.660 difference
00:41:48.200 between
00:41:49.660 a
00:41:49.860 plan
00:41:50.320 a
00:41:52.580 prophecy
00:41:53.100 and
00:41:55.900 your
00:41:56.080 imagination
00:41:56.700 there's
00:41:58.560 no
00:41:58.720 difference
00:41:59.140 and
00:42:01.080 here's
00:42:01.320 why
00:42:01.600 if
00:42:02.620 you
00:42:02.780 imagine
00:42:03.180 something
00:42:03.620 long
00:42:03.940 enough
00:42:04.260 you
00:42:06.500 end
00:42:06.740 up
00:42:06.920 gravitating
00:42:07.640 toward
00:42:08.020 the
00:42:08.200 things
00:42:08.460 that
00:42:08.640 make
00:42:08.840 it
00:42:08.980 happen
00:42:09.340 and
00:42:10.260 it's
00:42:10.460 unconscious
00:42:11.080 you
00:42:12.900 can't
00:42:13.240 tell the
00:42:13.560 difference
00:42:13.860 between
00:42:14.320 imagining
00:42:14.980 it
00:42:15.300 and
00:42:16.460 having
00:42:16.740 a
00:42:16.880 plan
00:42:17.160 for
00:42:17.440 it
00:42:17.600 because
00:42:17.860 in
00:42:18.040 both
00:42:18.260 cases
00:42:18.600 you're
00:42:18.880 imagining
00:42:19.260 it
00:42:19.540 and
00:42:19.980 in
00:42:20.100 both
00:42:20.300 cases
00:42:20.700 a
00:42:21.020 bunch
00:42:21.200 of
00:42:21.340 steps
00:42:21.600 happen
00:42:21.940 and
00:42:22.120 it
00:42:22.260 happens
00:42:22.640 you
00:42:23.900 can't
00:42:24.260 tell
00:42:24.400 the
00:42:24.580 difference
00:42:25.020 between
00:42:26.000 having
00:42:26.480 a
00:42:26.680 prophecy
00:42:27.120 in
00:42:29.560 the
00:42:29.700 case
00:42:29.920 that
00:42:30.060 the
00:42:30.200 prophecy
00:42:30.540 is
00:42:30.760 something
00:42:30.980 that
00:42:31.180 you
00:42:31.260 would
00:42:31.380 also
00:42:31.600 enjoy
00:42:32.040 something
00:42:33.000 that
00:42:33.200 you
00:42:33.280 would
00:42:33.400 like
00:42:33.640 imagining
00:42:34.100 so
00:42:34.400 when
00:42:34.540 your
00:42:34.700 prophecy
00:42:35.120 matches
00:42:35.840 what
00:42:36.140 you
00:42:36.280 would
00:42:36.440 like
00:42:36.700 to
00:42:36.880 imagine
00:42:37.300 your
00:42:38.160 prophecy
00:42:38.680 is
00:42:38.900 going
00:42:39.040 to
00:42:39.100 act
00:42:39.300 like
00:42:39.520 an
00:42:39.660 imagination
00:42:40.200 it's
00:42:41.220 going
00:42:41.360 to
00:42:41.480 drive
00:42:41.760 you
00:42:41.980 subconsciously
00:42:42.900 to
00:42:43.980 do
00:42:44.220 the
00:42:44.440 things
00:42:44.840 learn
00:42:45.600 the
00:42:45.820 things
00:42:46.260 associate
00:42:47.160 with
00:42:47.560 the
00:42:47.720 people
00:42:48.080 care
00:42:49.360 about
00:42:49.620 the
00:42:49.820 things
00:42:50.140 notice
00:42:50.580 the
00:42:50.820 things
00:42:51.240 that
00:42:52.100 get
00:42:52.300 you
00:42:52.440 to
00:42:52.560 the
00:42:52.700 same
00:42:52.900 place
00:42:53.340 these
00:42:55.080 are
00:42:56.240 the
00:42:56.440 same
00:42:56.800 when
00:42:57.840 I
00:42:58.000 teach
00:42:58.300 you
00:42:58.520 as
00:42:58.900 I
00:42:59.040 have
00:42:59.220 in
00:42:59.340 my
00:42:59.500 book
00:42:59.800 how to
00:43:00.260 fail
00:43:00.440 almost
00:43:00.740 everything
00:43:01.080 is
00:43:01.220 still
00:43:01.360 one
00:43:01.500 big
00:43:01.700 that
00:43:02.280 a
00:43:02.480 system
00:43:02.840 is
00:43:03.280 better
00:43:03.480 than
00:43:03.720 a
00:43:03.900 goal
00:43:04.260 and
00:43:05.680 this
00:43:06.320 is
00:43:06.460 the
00:43:06.600 point
00:43:06.760 where
00:43:06.920 you
00:43:07.000 say
00:43:07.200 but
00:43:07.420 Scott
00:43:07.760 you
00:43:08.520 say
00:43:08.740 goals
00:43:09.300 are
00:43:09.660 for
00:43:09.840 losers
00:43:10.160 you
00:43:10.440 should
00:43:10.580 have
00:43:10.720 a
00:43:10.860 system
00:43:11.180 do
00:43:11.920 you
00:43:11.980 know
00:43:12.080 what
00:43:12.180 a
00:43:12.300 system
00:43:12.600 is
00:43:13.020 right
00:43:16.260 there
00:43:16.520 that's
00:43:17.900 the
00:43:18.020 system
00:43:18.360 every
00:43:19.360 day
00:43:19.740 fill
00:43:20.960 up
00:43:21.120 your
00:43:21.280 shelf
00:43:21.820 space
00:43:22.220 as
00:43:22.460 many
00:43:22.700 times
00:43:23.020 as
00:43:23.180 possible
00:43:23.640 with
00:43:24.460 a
00:43:24.660 positive
00:43:25.340 imaginary
00:43:26.320 future
00:43:26.940 that's
00:43:27.640 far
00:43:27.940 enough
00:43:28.160 away
00:43:28.580 that
00:43:29.340 your
00:43:29.500 brain
00:43:29.760 isn't
00:43:30.020 going
00:43:30.160 to
00:43:30.240 say
00:43:30.380 that's
00:43:30.640 not
00:43:30.760 going
00:43:30.860 happen
00:43:31.060 tomorrow
00:43:31.460 well
00:43:32.700 you
00:43:32.860 know
00:43:32.980 five
00:43:33.260 years
00:43:33.480 from
00:43:33.620 now
00:43:33.840 three
00:43:34.700 years
00:43:34.960 from
00:43:35.120 now
00:43:36.160 who
00:43:36.840 knows
00:43:37.240 how
00:43:38.360 do
00:43:38.460 you
00:43:38.560 get
00:43:38.720 there
00:43:39.000 this
00:43:40.300 is
00:43:40.440 why
00:43:40.600 I
00:43:40.760 don't
00:43:40.920 say
00:43:41.140 have
00:43:41.440 a
00:43:41.700 goal
00:43:42.100 because
00:43:43.100 step
00:43:43.640 one
00:43:43.920 might
00:43:44.500 not
00:43:44.800 be
00:43:44.980 the
00:43:45.160 thing
00:43:45.500 and
00:43:45.700 maybe
00:43:45.900 the
00:43:46.100 goal
00:43:46.380 will
00:43:46.600 change
00:43:47.020 and
00:43:47.200 maybe
00:43:47.760 you're
00:43:47.940 imagining
00:43:48.320 more
00:43:48.660 than
00:43:48.820 one
00:43:49.000 thing
00:43:49.380 and
00:43:49.720 why
00:43:50.180 would
00:43:50.900 you
00:43:51.060 assume
00:43:51.240 that
00:43:51.400 one
00:43:51.660 of
00:43:51.780 the
00:43:51.880 things
00:43:52.080 you
00:43:52.220 imagine
00:43:52.540 is
00:43:52.740 the
00:43:52.840 one
00:43:52.940 you
00:43:53.060 want
00:43:53.300 so
00:43:54.160 imagination
00:43:54.720 is
00:43:55.160 more
00:43:55.320 like
00:43:55.500 a
00:43:55.620 system
00:43:55.920 it
00:43:56.200 allows
00:43:56.500 you
00:43:56.760 to
00:43:57.080 get
00:43:57.460 not
00:43:57.740 just
00:43:57.980 this
00:43:58.220 goal
00:43:58.540 but
00:43:59.040 it
00:43:59.180 might
00:43:59.340 turn
00:43:59.540 out
00:43:59.780 that
00:44:00.640 one
00:44:00.840 of
00:44:00.960 your
00:44:01.120 other
00:44:01.360 imagined
00:44:01.800 goals
00:44:02.180 or
00:44:02.560 imagined
00:44:03.380 realities
00:44:04.080 is
00:44:04.800 the
00:44:04.940 one
00:44:05.140 now
00:44:07.340 in
00:44:10.020 the
00:44:10.160 comments
00:44:10.680 how
00:44:12.740 many
00:44:13.000 of
00:44:13.160 you
00:44:13.380 just
00:44:14.640 had
00:44:14.820 your
00:44:14.940 mind
00:44:15.200 blown
00:44:15.540 because
00:44:18.100 I
00:44:18.300 just
00:44:18.500 told
00:44:18.780 you
00:44:19.100 how
00:44:20.680 to
00:44:20.820 get
00:44:20.960 everything
00:44:21.280 you
00:44:21.500 want
00:44:21.840 how
00:44:23.300 to
00:44:23.400 get
00:44:23.560 rid
00:44:23.720 of
00:44:23.820 the
00:44:23.920 bad
00:44:24.180 thoughts
00:44:24.680 how to
00:44:25.460 program
00:44:25.840 the
00:44:26.040 good
00:44:26.220 thoughts
00:44:26.640 in
00:44:26.920 the
00:44:27.080 simplest
00:44:27.360 possible
00:44:27.860 way
00:44:28.200 in
00:44:28.820 a
00:44:28.920 way
00:44:29.060 that's
00:44:29.340 not
00:44:29.540 only
00:44:29.760 easy
00:44:30.140 but
00:44:30.520 you'll
00:44:30.800 enjoy
00:44:31.260 every
00:44:31.780 part
00:44:32.140 of
00:44:32.300 it
00:44:32.560 you'll
00:44:33.380 enjoy
00:44:33.780 it
00:44:34.100 and
00:44:36.120 all
00:44:36.260 you
00:44:36.360 have
00:44:36.480 to
00:44:36.560 do
00:44:36.680 is
00:44:36.820 your
00:44:36.940 imagination
00:44:37.540 activate
00:44:38.620 especially
00:44:39.480 your
00:44:39.760 visual
00:44:40.300 sense
00:44:41.120 and
00:44:42.360 the
00:44:42.540 more
00:44:42.680 clearly
00:44:43.200 you
00:44:43.500 can
00:44:43.760 imagine
00:44:44.300 it
00:44:44.520 and
00:44:44.680 the
00:44:44.800 more
00:44:44.960 often
00:44:45.340 you
00:44:45.520 imagine
00:44:45.880 it
00:44:46.120 and
00:44:46.560 especially
00:44:47.040 if
00:44:47.240 you
00:44:47.320 give
00:44:47.460 yourself
00:44:47.740 enough
00:44:48.000 time
00:44:48.360 to
00:44:48.700 get
00:44:48.860 there
00:44:49.120 you're
00:44:52.560 going
00:44:52.640 to
00:44:52.740 find
00:44:53.080 that
00:44:54.220 it
00:44:54.380 feels
00:44:54.840 like
00:44:55.340 magic
00:44:56.680 that's
00:44:58.480 the
00:44:58.600 problem
00:44:58.860 with
00:44:59.100 explaining
00:44:59.560 affirmations
00:45:00.400 people
00:45:00.820 ask me
00:45:01.220 all the
00:45:01.440 time
00:45:01.720 you
00:45:02.580 say
00:45:02.800 you
00:45:02.940 used
00:45:03.140 affirmations
00:45:03.780 and
00:45:04.040 you
00:45:04.140 got
00:45:04.280 these
00:45:04.580 seemingly
00:45:05.580 amazing
00:45:06.120 results
00:45:06.620 like
00:45:07.200 how
00:45:07.340 does
00:45:07.500 that
00:45:07.680 work
00:45:08.100 like
00:45:09.140 what
00:45:09.580 in
00:45:09.700 the
00:45:09.820 world
00:45:10.200 would
00:45:11.380 writing
00:45:11.820 down
00:45:12.120 what
00:45:12.340 you
00:45:12.480 want
00:45:12.720 15
00:45:13.180 times
00:45:13.560 a
00:45:13.700 day
00:45:13.840 while
00:45:14.120 visualizing
00:45:14.760 it
00:45:14.940 how
00:45:15.560 in
00:45:15.740 the
00:45:15.840 world
00:45:16.080 could
00:45:16.320 that
00:45:16.520 make
00:45:16.820 an
00:45:17.200 actual
00:45:17.660 thing
00:45:18.080 happen
00:45:18.600 this
00:45:20.040 is
00:45:20.180 how
00:45:20.380 not
00:45:21.680 only
00:45:22.040 this
00:45:22.560 is
00:45:22.700 how
00:45:23.000 it
00:45:24.000 could
00:45:24.200 not
00:45:24.500 happen
00:45:24.900 the
00:45:26.500 mechanisms
00:45:27.360 I'm
00:45:27.700 explaining
00:45:28.120 here
00:45:28.440 you
00:45:28.980 can
00:45:29.140 see
00:45:29.360 for
00:45:29.640 yourself
00:45:30.120 I
00:45:30.620 think
00:45:30.940 with
00:45:31.140 no
00:45:31.320 argument
00:45:31.680 whatsoever
00:45:32.260 that
00:45:33.580 these
00:45:33.920 are
00:45:34.100 functionally
00:45:34.660 the
00:45:34.840 same
00:45:35.100 in
00:45:36.120 my
00:45:36.540 life
00:45:36.880 they
00:45:37.180 absolutely
00:45:37.800 have
00:45:38.100 acted
00:45:38.380 the
00:45:38.600 same
00:45:38.840 that
00:45:40.120 if
00:45:40.660 I
00:45:40.800 can
00:45:40.940 imagine
00:45:41.300 it
00:45:41.560 I'm
00:45:41.960 drifting
00:45:42.600 toward
00:45:42.920 it
00:45:43.120 and
00:45:43.980 if
00:45:44.120 I
00:45:44.260 don't
00:45:44.520 imagine
00:45:44.900 it
00:45:45.080 I
00:45:45.240 don't
00:45:45.480 drift
00:45:45.700 toward
00:45:45.920 it
00:45:46.160 and
00:45:47.320 it
00:45:47.460 just
00:45:47.640 works
00:45:47.900 every
00:45:48.200 time
00:45:48.520 all
00:45:48.760 the
00:45:48.900 time
00:45:49.160 on
00:45:49.340 every
00:45:49.540 topic
