Real Coffee with Scott Adams - Episode 2863 CWSA 06⧸09⧸25

00:00:00.000 stock market is kind of flat so we don't have to worry about that yet let's uh get our comments

00:00:09.440 working and then we'll have a show get rid of that there we go

00:00:30.000 good morning everybody and welcome to the highlight of human civilization it's called

00:00:40.000 coffee with scott adams and you've never had a better time but if you'd like to take a chance

00:00:47.200 on improving your attitude to levels that nobody can even understand with their tiny shiny human

00:00:55.300 brains well all you need for that is a copper mug or a glass a tanker chelzer stein a canteen jug or

00:01:04.480 flask a vessel of any kind fill it with your favorite liquids i like coffee and join me now

00:01:11.900 for the unparalleled pleasure of the dopamine hit of the day the thing that makes everything better

00:01:18.260 it's called the simultaneous sip and it happens now

00:01:25.300 oh i feel sorry for the resistors

00:01:30.040 you know i hear that there are some people

00:01:34.060 i tried to talk before i was done swallowing 0.95

00:01:37.920 i'm a pig 0.80

00:01:40.600 i hear that some people are trying to resist 0.88

00:01:46.220 the simultaneous sip because you don't want to feel like you've been manipulated

00:01:52.100 well you also missed the thrill of being connected to thousands of people around the world at the

00:02:02.500 same time so you know i guess you can pick your fate all right so allegedly in science according to

00:02:13.940 wonderful engineering uh scientists have created light from empty space by manipulating time and space

00:02:25.620 or the other possibility is that it is total and nobody created any light whatsoever

00:02:32.820 i look at a story like that and i just think really really did they make light out of time and space

00:02:43.620 did that really happen i don't know it might have but uh i'm gonna say you're gonna need a little bit

00:02:52.500 more evidence before i say yes to that meanwhile in something way more fun there's a company called

00:03:02.180 kuda jet that makes an underwater jet pack it looks like it's obviously electric and you strap it to your back

00:03:11.540 and you can just go like hell on you know underwater and at the surface and i said to myself

00:03:21.460 this looks really fun it looks really really fun so i could easily imagine myself uh seeing lots of

00:03:31.220 people doing that i was gonna say me doing it but you know it's not like i'm gonna scuba either

00:03:38.900 so i don't think i'll be doing that but it looks like fun it can uh last 90 minutes which is probably

00:03:48.100 the hard part having the battery last long enough and it can recharge in 75 minutes and you can feel like

00:03:55.780 you're you're aquaman and superman at the same time well in uh important new york post news uh allegedly

00:04:08.660 the average penis size has increased and ozempic could be to blame 0.99

00:04:17.060 so anecdotally but not scientifically yet anecdotally people are reporting that their penises 0.93

00:04:25.860 are larger uh when they're on ozempic losing weight now may i uh may i address the npcs directly 0.84

00:04:38.660 npcs what you should say is the most obvious thing what's the most obvious thing

00:04:48.580 you would say oh it's not any bigger it's just that you can see it now

00:04:53.940 that's the most obvious thing you could say so if you were if you were already typing that

00:05:02.420 sorry you're an npc you're not programmed for creativity you're programmed for the most obvious

00:05:10.020 things so sorry about that uh when i see a story like this i have to wonder do you think the uh pr

00:05:20.660 department at the ozempic could possibly be behind this story now not that they you know made up the

00:05:28.660 story on nothing it could be that uh you know there were reports actual reports but they were anecdotal

00:05:38.020 so it didn't really mean anything but if you were the pr department and you had this potential story

00:05:45.300 do you think you would call up the new york post and say how would you like an exclusive story about 0.94

00:05:53.140 how penises get bigger when you take ozempic 0.53

00:05:55.940 now if the pr department at ozempic did not do that i think they all need to be fired because 0.98

00:06:07.060 i can't think of a way to sell more ozempic than that

00:06:10.580 i mean the weight loss is good but it doesn't really come close to the other thing meanwhile

00:06:17.140 apple uh has got a big event today and uh the general feeling is that we're all going to be

00:06:24.740 disappointed and that uh whatever they say about ai for example is going to be underwhelming my

00:06:34.500 understanding is i didn't see it personally but my understanding is that apple has recently made some

00:06:41.380 negative comments about ai in general just ai in general which would suggest

00:06:49.300 that they don't think it's either good enough or ready enough to be in their products now my guess is

00:06:57.780 that they tried really really hard to build ai into their products you know as prototypes just to

00:07:05.780 see what they could do and that they couldn't get past the uh hallucinations if you can't get past the

00:07:13.060 hallucinations and you can't make it go get you information there's not much you can do except

00:07:20.260 it's really good to understand uh i'll tell you my my apple phone uh the fact that it understands

00:07:29.460 me when i talk to it which it did not a year ago is a really big deal i mean because i do talk to it a

00:07:37.140 lot but just setting alarms and stuff anyway so we'll see if apple excites us or disappoints us

00:07:47.780 here is the least surprising story of all time uh apparently there's new information that came out

00:07:58.500 that the cia was behind starting the stories that area 51 had some ufos because it turns out they were

00:08:08.500 just trying to have a cover story for the fact that there were some advanced aircraft that they were

00:08:15.220 working on and they didn't want people to think it was our stuff now

00:08:25.220 how many of you assumed that was true

00:08:31.140 because i remember i was reading the story and i said to myself doesn't everybody know that

00:08:38.580 but then i realized that i didn't know that i just assumed

00:08:42.100 because i start with the assumption there are no ufos and then i progressed to why would we think

00:08:50.900 there are ufos and who would ever have a you know any kind of benefit by saying there are ufos 0.99

00:08:59.220 and then i think oh well there there are other documents we've seen from the 80s maybe where the cia did

00:09:08.900 uh consciously say let's start a ufo story to hide some things we're doing now that was unrelated to

00:09:19.700 this but if it's a known strategy um it makes you wonder about all those drones we were worrying about

00:09:28.900 six months ago how long ago were we worrying about all the activity and then people started saying it's

00:09:37.300 this ufos this ufos you show me a uh claim of a ufo and i will automatically think that the cia might be behind

00:09:48.900 it even if they're not i mean it's just automatically where i go but here's a question i ask um first of all

00:09:58.820 is it really possible to know for sure that this is true because it's the cia so what if

00:10:09.540 the ufos are real but the cia is covering up for the real ufos by claiming that they're american aircraft

00:10:19.940 uh so you can't be so sure you don't know what's true um but i do wonder is there anybody who has

00:10:30.740 dedicated their adult life to learning about and pursuing the area 51 ufos who when they read

00:10:39.940 something like this and they see it was just all a big cia plot do they say to themselves oh wow i wasted

00:10:48.500 my adult life worrying about this thing that was totally made up and the answer is probably no one

00:10:58.980 because if you believed it was true before you're going to do what i did just a minute ago and you're

00:11:04.980 going to find a reason why it's still true despite all evidence to the contrary you'll say nope that's

00:11:12.420 exactly how they cover these things up that's what you'll say claudia was leaving for her pickleball 0.82

00:11:18.900 tournament i've been visualizing my match all week she was so focused on visualizing that she didn't 0.95

00:11:24.260 see the column behind her car on her backhand side good thing claudia's with intact the insurer with the 1.00

00:11:30.740 largest network of auto service centers in the country everything was taken care of under one roof and

00:11:35.700 she was on her way in a rental car in no time i made it to my tournament and lost in the first round 1.00

00:11:41.540 but you got there on time intact insurance your auto service ace certain conditions apply well apparently 0.97

00:11:49.220 there's this uh news person abc news person called terry moran uh not moron but moran and uh 0.97

00:11:59.540 uh he got i guess he got put on suspension because he got caught with some hate-filled rant about trump 0.62

00:12:09.700 uh no not about trump about stephen miller so here's what he said about stephen miller this is in an

00:12:16.980 article in the post millennial by victor davis antlin and moran moran wrote on uh on a post on x oh on

00:12:28.660 sunday he said quote the thing about stephen miller miller is not that these brains behind trumpism

00:12:36.260 yes he is one of the people who conceptualizes the impulses of the trumpist movement which is a

00:12:42.980 really good sentence by the way uh and translates them into policy that's a really good sentence um

00:12:49.780 but that's not what's interesting about miller so here comes the uh the bad part he says it's not

00:12:56.900 brains it's bile miller is a man who is richly endowed with the capacity for hatred he's a world

00:13:04.660 class hater you can see this just by looking at him because you can see that his hatreds are his

00:13:11.460 spiritual nourishment he eats his hate now imagine being abc news executives at one of your news people

00:13:22.820 people just imagine that he can look within the soul of a uh you know one of the key people in the

00:13:30.180 administration and they can look deep into his soul which is a capability we don't have by the way uh and

00:13:38.580 that he can see all this bile and the hatreds that are uh that are his spiritual nourishment he eats his hate

00:13:49.300 oh where does that even come from now i do understand that if you've been watching steven miller for a

00:13:58.740 while he's always the most hardcore on uh immigration but that has a reason it's not like he's doing it for

00:14:09.060 fun and it's also not exactly uh something that's you know gonna nourish you you know if you're the one

00:14:18.980 who takes the least popular opinion or at least the one you know is gonna get you the most heat

00:14:27.540 i don't know but that seems like somebody who's uh stepping into the breach and doing the thing that

00:14:34.980 you and i wish would get done which is control of the border but we don't want to take the heat

00:14:41.780 for being the lead person on that but he takes the heat um i will say that he has one of these uh tv

00:14:50.900 personas that suggests you know if you're gonna cast him in a movie the same thing i said about rahm

00:14:58.820 emmanuel if you were gonna cast a movie with a let's say a um an evil super genius like lex luther

00:15:12.020 you can kind of see steven miller right you know even if we like him even if you like what he's doing

00:15:19.140 which i do um you can kind of see it right and unfortunately uh we're such a visual creatures

00:15:31.140 that if he looks one way uh but he talks another way you're you're mostly gonna be influenced by how he

00:15:39.300 looks i have that same question about cory booker when cory booker talks his eyes get so big that 0.99

00:15:49.460 they're a comical and he looks like i don't want to say he looks like an idiot but his eyes are too big 0.97

00:15:57.860 he just opens them too far and it it doesn't look like he's telling you the truth now i don't know if 0.99

00:16:07.220 he is sometimes he probably does but he's a politician so sometimes maybe not but how in the world did he

00:16:16.740 ever get elected with that face have you ever looked at anybody from let's say another state

00:16:24.180 where you know you weren't directly involved and you see the representative and you say how did that

00:16:30.580 representative get elected really with that look there's just some looks that you you think would

00:16:39.220 be hard to win an election anyway the san francisco police department arrested 60 people yesterday

00:16:49.060 amid a violent protest this is according to just the news and uh dozens of police officers responded and

00:16:57.940 it was this was also about the ice and deportation stuff so the the big protests and the riots are

00:17:05.460 happening in la and san francisco and new york that i know of uh are about reducing the power of ice to deport

00:17:17.860 people now how many of you think that's organic that the people were sitting at home and they thought to

00:17:27.300 themselves you know what of all the problems i have the one i really need to spend some time on

00:17:34.820 and the one that's the most dangerous because you know you end up in jail get a criminal record

00:17:40.660 is uh this issue of border control i want less border control i don't think anybody had that thought

00:17:50.500 this thing is so obviously artificial that it's you know sort of funny well when was it that uh

00:17:59.060 uh do you remember the first time i told you that this summer there would be protests

00:18:05.540 and i didn't know what the protests would be but if it's summer there will be protests and

00:18:12.660 uh so anyway san francisco was the smaller part of it the bigger part of it was in la

00:18:19.780 okay according to breitbart news uh there will be some more specially trained border patrol uh agents

00:18:29.540 deployed to los angeles to which my curiosity says to me specially trained you say specially trained to do

00:18:40.340 what to reduce tensions and riots or what so randy clark and breitbart news is writing about that

00:18:50.740 so we don't know what that's all about but uh trump has ordered 2000 national guard men

00:18:57.060 to respond and he said that the uh i think i think trump said that they'll be everywhere and

00:19:05.780 they'll take care of it um according to a cbs news poll

00:19:11.620 poll 54 percent of those uh surveyed support president trump's uh program for deportation

00:19:24.660 so not just the border security but 54 percent approve of his deportation program

00:19:32.740 um 42 percent to think uh the program has made america safer while 30 percent said it has made the

00:19:42.580 country less safe how in the world is the country as a whole less safe because we deported 10 000 criminals 0.99

00:19:54.500 what is even the point of having surveys if the answers that come back are so obviously stupid or 0.99

00:20:03.620 biased or political that they're just meaningless there's nobody who thinks the country 0.98

00:20:11.460 is is in more danger because the criminals were deported now i guess that you know there's there's the

00:20:18.660 risk during the uh ice raid that someone might get hurt i get that but even if you include all of that

00:20:29.140 getting rid of 10 000 i'm just picking a number but getting rid of 10 000 known repeat criminals

00:20:36.580 that's definitely going to make you safer getting rid of a known south american gang yeah that's uh that's

00:20:46.020 gonna make you safer yeah so everybody who had the wrong answer when i found out my friend got a

00:20:53.460 great deal on a wool coat from winners i started wondering is every fabulous item i see from winners

00:21:00.420 like that woman over there with the designer jeans are those from winners ooh are those beautiful gold 1.00

00:21:06.340 earrings did she pay full price or that leather tote or that cashmere sweater or those knee-high boots that 0.82

00:21:12.340 dress that jacket those shoes is anyone paying full price for anything stop wondering start winning

00:21:19.780 winners find fabulous for less all right so what is the most important thing to know about the la riots

00:21:30.500 well other people will cover things like how many people were injured and you know what's the cost of

00:21:37.380 it all and how many how many law enforcement people have been surged and did they do a good good job but uh

00:21:46.980 i'm going to cover the wordplay

00:21:51.060 because somehow this is a sort of artificial event that's designed to create a lot of uh democrat friendly

00:22:00.500 wordplay so the first part is are they riots or protests well if you're the mainstream media you get to

00:22:09.300 call them protests if uh if they were talking about somebody they didn't like would they call it a protest

00:22:18.020 or would they call it a riot i don't know if they've uh has the mainstream

00:22:23.860 yet turned it into riot or are they still sticking with protests so that's the first wordplay thing to

00:22:31.700 watch out for to see if they treat it like it's a protest the other thing that um i don't know if

00:22:39.940 anybody else picked up on this but suppose you were somebody who planned let's say you were soros or

00:22:47.700 something and you plan to fund uh big riots in sam in la and san francisco so let's say your your idea

00:22:59.300 was that if you fund these riots you'll get some kind of benefit you know could be any kind of benefit

00:23:05.860 but you've decided to fund them what would you know would be the natural outcome to karen bass

00:23:14.660 the mayor of la and governor newsom is there any reasonable way that when this is done people are

00:23:25.780 going to say wow you two did a great job actually none because it's it's simply going to look like

00:23:35.460 they're in charge when uh you can't get to where you want to get because the you know the roads are

00:23:41.860 closed and you're going to see endless loops of whatever violence the cameras can pick up i don't

00:23:49.060 know how what it is as a percentage of activity but uh doesn't it seem to you that maybe

00:23:58.420 maybe whoever's in charge of funding this is trying to take karen bass and newsom off the 1.00

00:24:04.740 the the off the table at the same time in an unrelated story or or is it unrelated is this story related or

00:24:17.380 unrelated separately there's a story that kamala harris has remained unusually silent during the

00:24:25.700 uh during the protests now if you wanted kamala harris to either run for president or governor of 1.00

00:24:35.860 california and you didn't care too much about karen bass either because she wasn't helping you 0.97

00:24:44.500 it would be kind of clever to fund a bunch of riots that make newsom and bass look like they're completely

00:24:51.220 you know unable to run anything you know unable to run anything while having kamala harris just go quiet

00:24:57.540 don't say anything about anything and then she'll be fresh and unspoiled whenever the uh whenever the 1.00

00:25:06.260 dust settles so that's just my speculation there's no evidence that um so 2000 national guard

00:25:17.060 does it seem to you that this is another one of those 80 20 questions where uh trump is very solidly on

00:25:29.300 the 80. what is the last time you met anybody in the real world who thought it was a bad idea to send

00:25:37.300 them to the national guard to have a little bit more force than it might make sense because if you

00:25:44.820 threaten with enough force then you get what you want without the force how many of you like have

00:25:52.260 you even talked to anybody who thinks that's a bad idea it's got to be at least 80 20 right in favor of it

00:26:00.580 so once again the democrats have figured out how to find uh the most unpopular thing you could imagine

00:26:09.540 which is hey suppose we make your traffic worse we damage your downtowns so that you you lose your retail

00:26:20.580 business and uh we try to open up the border and keep as many criminals in the country as we can

00:26:30.340 that doesn't even really sound like it could be happening in the real world 0.98

00:26:35.380 it's so ridiculously stupid but it fits everything democrats have been doing for the last five years 1.00

00:26:46.980 right just unbelievably stupid but somehow they think they can get some wordplay out of it so here's some 1.00

00:26:55.220 more wordplay um chaotic remember i told you that uh the democrats were going 0.99

00:27:05.140 to say that the the uh riots and or protests were sort of a natural you know free speech but the chaos

00:27:17.620 the chaos would be coming from the people who are trying to stop the violence and the protests

00:27:25.140 i think they're trying to stop the violence not the protests and sure enough

00:27:30.340 sure enough sure enough you wake up and everybody's like it's chaotic uh trump trump is making everything

00:27:38.260 chaotic so chaotic all right wordplay the other thing we have to agree on is uh i think we need to have a

00:27:47.860 constitutional convention that's the wrong thing but just sounded funny uh to decide what the word most or

00:27:56.900 mostly means do you know how important that is hey scott how much violence is there at the protest

00:28:07.060 it's mostly mostly peaceful

00:28:12.500 so what did you just learn from that nothing

00:28:18.580 most most uh protests no matter how violent they get

00:28:24.660 i would bet you that even in the worst situation no more than 20 percent of the participants would be

00:28:32.660 breaking things and setting them on fire and hurting people in the worst situation and we're not anywhere near

00:28:38.420 that we're more in the you know two percent five percent situation but uh no we should decide does

00:28:46.820 mostly mean more than 50 percent does mostly mean uh less than 10 percent of the people are being violent

00:29:00.420 we we can't even talk about these things without knowing what that word means

00:29:06.020 so democrats wordplay that's all they got all right so we got some uh waymo cars are on fire

00:29:16.900 um and here's another word that uh is sort of a governor newsom wordplay he said uh this is a serious moment

00:29:26.260 and it requires serious leadership and where's your decency mr president blah blah blah blah blah it's immoral

00:29:39.380 those are all words aren't they uh do you think that trump was unaware that this was a serious situation

00:29:48.740 do you think that governor newsom was actually under the belief that trump didn't understand that a

00:29:56.580 major riot and in la and other other cities was a major serious thing if trump is not taking it seriously

00:30:07.940 what are those 2000 national guard people doing are they just having fun playing beer pong and waiting for

00:30:17.060 things to settle down no i think he's taking it pretty seriously but again the democrats don't have

00:30:25.220 arguments they just have wordplay so it's a chaotic situation and uh it's mostly peaceful and trump

00:30:36.260 isn't taking it seriously which part of that told you anything none of it there's no information in any

00:30:45.300 of that it's completely content free communication there's no argument there's no data there's nothing to

00:30:55.220 agree with there's nothing to disagree with it's literally just wordplay anyway where's your decency mr

00:31:04.900 president i'll say it again it's immoral all right maybe you should say it more than once it's immoral

00:31:12.660 what part of it is immoral is it immoral to try to protect the innocent people whose storefronts might be

00:31:22.900 destroyed by a mob is that immoral is it immoral to deport people who at this point are criminal

00:31:32.420 is it immoral is it immoral to have a border i think even the pope is in favor of a little bit of law and order

00:33:25.140 for details please play responsibly uh meanwhile we've got a tough guy competition uh where uh governor

00:33:33.940 newsom um is saying that uh he's daring tom holman to arrest him he says come after me arrest me let's

00:33:45.220 just get it over with tough guy that's what uh that's what newsom said and that's because uh tom

00:33:52.900 holman has said that if anybody interferes with the work of ice that they might arrest him and then

00:34:00.660 newsom is like come after me big boy yeah come after me i feel like uh nothing would make newsom happier

00:34:12.660 than getting arrested because it would take him off the field when there's nothing he can do on the

00:34:19.060 field that's helping whatsoever but it would be this great visual you know if you saw him like perp

00:34:25.380 walked with the handcuffs on and you say to yourself my god that trump has overreached he's going to

00:34:34.100 full authoritarianism so i don't think tom holman needs any advice because he's been pretty awesome

00:34:43.220 but let me give you some advice tom holman don't arrest that guy arrest anybody else you want but don't

00:34:51.140 arrest the guy who wants to be arrested yeah you don't want that he's a theater kid and uh he would

00:35:00.340 enjoy it too much well jonathan turley has a uh article today that uh is very similar to something i've said

00:35:10.740 recently and so therefore i like it extra but he was uh writing uh i forgot where he was writing it but

00:35:18.580 it's a jonathan turley um article and he's saying that uh that uh executives around the country

00:35:28.900 are getting to do things they wanted to do but they didn't want to be seen as being in favor of it

00:35:38.340 such as getting rid of dei but apparently at least anecdotally there are a bunch of executives who

00:35:47.140 definitely wanted to get rid of dei but they couldn't do it until they could blame trump so now it's

00:35:54.420 well you know trump made me do it i really didn't want to i wanted extra dei not not less of it but uh 0.92

00:36:04.740 that damn trump he just made me get rid of it because otherwise our insurance would go up too much and 0.78

00:36:12.020 well we just couldn't afford it as much as we wanted it so i agree i think uh i think trump made me do it 0.98

00:36:22.340 might be helping a lot of people that we don't know about

00:36:26.500 well the new head of the social security administration um says that they want to become a

00:36:34.100 digital first department meaning get everything digitized in a way that uh i think most of us

00:36:42.660 assumed had already been done didn't you kind of assume that the big government programs like social

00:36:51.140 security were uh you know first rate technology i i never really thought about it too hard but if you

00:37:00.340 would stop me and say how good do you think the technology is for social security and i always

00:37:05.860 said well obviously if it's on a date they would have fixed that a long time ago because it's such an

00:37:12.500 important system so my guess would be uh it's pretty advanced well nothing like that's true it turns out that

00:37:20.500 the social security system uh is aging and uh needs a total overhaul to be digital first and so the new head

00:37:31.460 of social security is going to use uh some of the doge staffers and the doge process i think to get that done

00:37:42.900 so that's actually kind of exciting because if they design the system right

00:37:48.900 you don't have to go looking for all the fraud it would just prevent the fraud from happening in the

00:37:54.820 first place so that'd be good all right the funniest story of the day

00:38:02.340 i think it's the funniest story of the day even funnier than the yosemping story is that as you know

00:38:08.340 the dnc has uh co-chairs so it's not one person who's the head of the dnc it's two uh one of them is

00:38:17.460 david hogg what's the name of the other one how many of you can name the co-chair

00:38:25.860 who is not david hogg in the comments go

00:38:31.860 well while you're doing that it'll take take a while for your comments to show up

00:38:36.420 while you're doing that uh the reporting is if you want to believe the reporting

00:38:41.460 um according to politico they got a copy of the recording uh that the uh the co-chair his name is

00:38:50.980 ken martin he was addressing hogg directly during a recent zoom meeting and he said quote i'll be very

00:38:59.140 honest with you for the first time in my hundred days on this job the other night i said to myself

00:39:04.900 for the first time i don't know if i want to do this anymore martin said and then he said no one

00:39:11.780 knew no one knows who the hell i am right

00:39:18.180 no one knows who the hell i am can you imagine being ken martin you're trying to do the business of

00:39:25.140 the dnc and you call somebody up and you say hey this is ken martin and whoever answers the phone has no

00:39:32.580 idea who you are but if david hogg called they'd be like oh david hogg co-chair of the dnc

00:39:41.780 so in one way you could look at this as a slight condemnation of ken martin because he hasn't done

00:39:51.940 enough to distinguish himself but on the other hand it's sort of a compliment to david hogg 0.98

00:39:58.740 who sucked all the energy out of the room now you know when trump does it when trump sucks all the 0.89

00:40:05.940 energy out of the room i compliment him so i'm going to be consistent you don't have to love what

00:40:12.820 david hogg is doing you don't have to love his opinions or anything about him but when he he goes

00:40:19.700 into a situation and sucks all the energy out of the room so you don't even know who his co-chair is

00:40:26.340 well that does suggest a level of skill which is not an accident so i would keep an eye on him he's i

00:40:34.740 i think his flaws are almost entirely based on being young and that is self-healing so i hate to tell

00:40:44.100 you but as ineffective as david hogg seems today his raw skill level and his just personality and charisma

00:40:57.060 really do make him a threat for the future so if someday there's a president uh hog 0.86

00:41:03.540 don't be don't be shocked i don't think it'll happen for you know 30 years but he's got plenty

00:41:12.660 of time to mature and learn all the uh the smart ways to do stuff so remember he's not dumb

00:41:20.580 um so some of the uh democrats that you you like to criticize are actually not very smart

00:41:28.020 but he's not one of those he's he's actually very smart he's just inexperienced and that

00:41:36.420 as i say is self-healing so watch out for him um

00:41:45.780 bank more encores when you switch to a scotia bank banking package

00:41:49.220 learn more at scotia bank dot com slash banking packages conditions apply scotia bank you're richer

00:41:56.740 than you think let's talk about cash patel and epstein as we have a hundred times uh

00:42:05.380 so cash patel says that there are no videos of uh let's say famous people doing horrible things

00:42:14.660 to victims on epstein island but my question would be how would we ever know if such things existed at

00:42:24.340 one time and somebody just took them away that wouldn't be knowable would it well wasn't there like

00:42:31.540 a a room that cash patel recently found that had a whole bunch of documents in it

00:42:37.540 that nobody even knew was a storage room for sensitive documents well what if they never found that

00:42:44.420 room we would just assume that all the stuff in that room was non-existent because nobody could find it

00:42:53.700 so i don't think it means anything when cash patel says these you know there's no documents that exist

00:43:02.820 that would show that uh epstein was murdered or that uh any celebrities did any terrible crimes on the

00:43:10.100 island the only thing we know for sure well we don't even know that for sure but probably i would

00:43:17.700 give him the benefit of a doubt the one thing we know for sure uh or mostly for sure is that he doesn't

00:43:26.660 have it so i do believe him when he says i don't have any you know damning evidence of famous people

00:43:36.260 but even that could be you know something that's a state secret wouldn't it be a state secret if we had

00:43:46.260 some other head of state doing bad things on the island do you think that cash patel

00:43:55.220 would have the authority uh or even would think it's a good idea to out some other head of state or a

00:44:03.220 family member of a head of state that would be a terrible idea because we would create this whole uh

00:44:12.420 this whole animosity with some other countries that we didn't really need to

00:44:16.500 do now would justice be served nope but when you're dealing with international uh relations

00:44:26.020 you end up doing all these terrible trade-offs you know people die if you do this but people die if

00:44:31.700 you do the other thing so international relations is uh contact sport so even though there might be a

00:44:40.820 situation where uh justice would not be satisfied you can imagine that that would be a state secret

00:44:51.460 because it's a messy world so if it sounds like i'm in favor of that then check yourself because i

00:45:00.340 didn't say that i'm just saying that that might be the reality of it

00:45:07.460 anyway um what else we got going on oh cash patel also said they found the missing fauci phone

00:45:18.660 i guess one of his older phones hadn't been able to find for years but somehow magically they found it

00:45:24.020 it do you think there's going to be anything on fauci's phone by now that uh would cause trouble

00:45:34.900 i don't know i'm i'm so jaded even though this has nothing to do with the epstein files you know the

00:45:40.340 fauci phone and the epstein files no connection you know if you imagined anything about one that affected

00:45:48.180 the other would be analogy thinking so it wouldn't even be good thinking

00:45:52.740 but there's something about just what we've been observing for the last several years

00:45:59.700 that makes me think that there will be nothing interesting on fauci's phone

00:46:04.500 because every time we think we've got something it's like ah we got him we found the secret documents

00:46:12.340 we've you know it just doesn't really work out that way does it

00:46:16.820 so i'm going to say that there will be no major fauci revelations unless they're just sort of

00:46:25.540 embarrassing or interesting or funny but nothing that's going to make him go to jail

00:46:31.300 all right um according to federal appeals court uh trump will be allowed to ban the

00:46:41.140 the ap the associated press from the oval office a two-to-one ruling that uh block the lower courts uh

00:46:51.140 block or something um so what do you think of that do you think it's uh do you think it's fair

00:46:59.620 that trump can block one part of the major media well here's a little uh persuasion lesson for you

00:47:10.900 if he blocked all of the major media that said things that were untrue and maybe they even knew

00:47:19.140 they were untrue then there would be no media left for his press events if he blocked nobody

00:47:27.780 just nobody got any pushback then the the bad media would feel free to make up more lies about them

00:47:36.740 and not worry about it but if you can take one of them in this case the ap and drive a stake through their

00:47:46.100 heart and say this could be you you know if you do the same thing that they did

00:47:54.660 will drive a stake through your heart too because you don't have automatic access to the white house

00:48:02.100 and so persuasion wise uh putting a stake through the heart of one major

00:48:09.940 you know brand name media enterprise is the very smartest thing you could do because it's going to

00:48:17.540 make all the rest of them say uh maybe we should look twice at the way we're wording this and that's

00:48:23.700 what he would want so smart um meanwhile in uh news is a little bit alarming the trump administration

00:48:37.460 has allegedly according to the new york post diverted 20 000 anti-drone missiles uh that were meant for

00:48:45.940 ukraine and they're being sent to u.s troops in the middle east now why would u.s troops in the middle east

00:48:56.180 suddenly need 20 000 anti-drone missiles do we need them more than we needed them a month ago is it just a

00:49:08.180 uh ordinary uh ordinary increase in capacity and a change in priorities where trump says okay ukraine is

00:49:18.020 less important u.s is more important so we're going to move them all right you're way ahead of me in the

00:49:23.700 comments you're way ahead of me yeah it kind of suggests that we're preparing for war with iran

00:49:32.500 now i always i always tell you this preparing for war does not mean war preparing for war just means

00:49:42.820 you have a military if your military has not prepared for every you know likely or even potential war

00:49:51.540 they're not really doing their job so would it make sense even if we had no intention of starting a war

00:49:59.620 would it make sense for us to move a bunch of weapons into the u.s control away from ukraine and the 0.72

00:50:06.500 answer is probably probably makes sense to move those weapons um but it also makes a uh a good warning for

00:50:17.220 iran so if iran thinks we're preparing for war do you think they'll be a little more flexible

00:50:24.260 they should you know they're not super flexible right now but um it's got to feel different

00:50:33.780 if you're if the only thing happening is the boats are setting off the coast i mean that's scary enough

00:50:41.620 but if the boats are you know the ships if they're sitting off the coast of your country

00:50:46.980 and their warships and you just heard that 20 000 anti-drone missiles just got delivered

00:50:54.900 then you're going to be a little bit more worried so i always wonder if the sort of story is planted

00:51:02.580 and that the real customer for it is iran so that they can look at it and say whoa looks like they're

00:51:09.380 changing their focus to us so but it could be unrelated um russia is apparently increasing their

00:51:20.820 offensive into ukraine and they're going into the dnipropetrokova region now if you're wondering how to

00:51:32.180 pronounce that correctly um that's why you come to me it's called dnipropetrovsk region and that's very

00:51:44.580 important um and apparently the uh it's just above crimea somebody said so if you're walking you know

00:51:53.700 toward the center of ukraine you start in crimea and then you would have to pass through

00:51:58.580 the dnipropetrovsk region and uh russia really wants that apparently so it's making a major push

00:52:10.260 um to try to get it so that sort of suggests that putin is not planning for peace anytime soon

00:52:19.620 um um i always tell you about all the uh you know i always well i one more thing about the um

00:52:32.500 russian incursion do you think the ukrainians are saying to themselves you know what we'd really

00:52:39.300 we could use right now 20 000 anti-drone missiles that would really help us right now anyway

00:52:47.540 um i always tell you these stories about uh electric batteries that are you know new technology i don't

00:52:56.580 tell you all of them because there's probably more than one of them every day and when i do tell you

00:53:04.100 about them i remind you it's not that this particular one is going to become the standard in the future

00:53:11.700 but once you get a sense of how many battery related breakthroughs there are like just major breakthroughs

00:53:20.740 then you just add to that all you need is some big car company to want to use that technology and

00:53:28.980 operationalize it but interesting engineering is talking about a new battery breakthrough

00:53:35.540 um a serbian company so they've they've got this battery that you can get an 80 charge in 12 minutes

00:53:47.700 and it will last 310 000 miles uh i mean that's that's the lifespan of the battery and

00:53:56.420 it can charge that 80 in just 12 minutes 12 minutes

00:54:05.620 that's pretty impressive anyway so the battery stuff is what um those breakthroughs are what make your e-bikes

00:54:14.500 work and your your electric cars and your your underwater uh jet packs and very soon your aircraft

00:54:25.140 aircraft so i'm pretty sure aircraft will alter an electric at some point seems impossible because

00:54:34.900 you know aircraft require a well not jets well i don't think you'd be able to replace jets but you'd

00:54:42.180 probably be be able to replace a lot of local you know short haul aircraft stuff

00:54:48.580 well there's a story that says uh china and the u.s are meeting on monday

00:54:57.540 in london to talk about a rare earth deal now how does that fit with the news we were already told

00:55:06.100 which is that trump said that he made a deal with xi for rare earth minerals

00:55:12.260 what was that about because you know at the time i thought to myself well not really there's not

00:55:22.180 really any chance that the two of them hashed down a mineral deal or was there some particular sticking

00:55:29.060 point that trump removed that allowed them to have serious negotiations but what we don't have

00:55:38.020 is any kind of a mineral deal with china and i don't really understand why there would be

00:55:44.420 um unless they also felt like they could make deals on all the other stuff because the mineral deal

00:55:52.020 you know the rare earth stuff that feels like where they've really got us by the

00:55:57.700 gonads if you know what i mean like more so than anything else that they do so why would they give

00:56:03.940 that up first in what world would you negotiate by giving up your main leverage before you even talk

00:56:14.500 about your other stuff so there's something going on here with this story that i don't understand

00:56:21.220 doesn't make sense with what i know about negotiations or people or trump or president xi or china

00:56:29.060 it doesn't make sense so if somebody can figure out what is it i don't understand about this story

00:56:36.420 which might be just everything i don't know uh let me know because i'm very curious because we under no

00:56:44.100 circumstances does it make sense that china and the us would be negotiating the the highest leverage part

00:56:51.940 of the trade deal unless china just went crazy and decided that they don't want their best leverage

00:57:02.580 i don't know it doesn't make sense so ladies and gentlemen that is what i want to tell you today

00:57:11.300 and uh hope you enjoyed the show i'm going to say hi to the uh local subscribers privately

00:57:20.020 and the rest of you have a wonderful monday i think it's a perfect summer day and uh you'll enjoy it so

00:57:29.140 locals here i come in 30 seconds everybody else i'll see you tomorrow same time same place

00:57:49.220 you

00:58:19.220 Thank you.

00:58:49.220 Thank you.

00:59:19.220 Thank you.

00:59:49.220 Thank you.
