00:00:00.000 Behind our nation's defense is a powerful network of Canadian communities, supported by Lockheed Martin Canada.
00:00:06.620 It's a network of over 1,300 employees and over 1,000 local suppliers, from small family businesses to major tech firms.
00:00:14.480 Together, we've delivered a $3.6 billion boost to the Canadian economy over the past five years.
00:00:20.260 That's money that goes to securing our skies, our oceans, and the place we call home.

00:00:34.780 You gave up six goals last week, Steve.
00:00:37.420 Maybe play to win, huh?

00:01:05.560 Who is going to miss the simultaneous sip?
00:01:11.240 Not on my watch.
00:01:13.180 Hi, you guys.
00:01:15.600 Okay, whoever needs a little pre-sip because you can't stay, let's do it.
00:01:21.340 Don't tell anyone, okay?
00:01:23.740 I'm totally early.
00:01:25.820 I just happened to catch the chat.
00:01:27.620 There's things going on in here. You know it, gal, Lindy. Okay. Who said that they couldn't
00:01:37.280 stay for the simultaneous sip? I'm thinking we do a pre-sip beforehand. We don't tell anybody.
00:01:43.440 What do we think? Let me just fix my mode. I look pink. Okay. Okay, you guys, ready?
00:01:54.720 We won't do the preamble, but we'll simultaneously sip together, okay?
00:02:03.540 Oh, God.
00:02:04.940 All right, you guys.
00:02:06.180 For anyone who can't stay, had a bad day, their kid has strep throat, you just need a sip.
00:02:17.140 Let's do it.
00:02:18.180 Ready?
00:02:19.640 A one, a two, a three.
00:02:22.000 will say to Scott. Delicious. Lang, lang, no waiting. Good morning. I thought I'd pop on
00:02:43.420 and chitty chat. I'm like kind of done with my work. I'm never ready like this early. So,
00:02:48.660 Oh, you like the thumbnail? I thought it was a fun one today. And oh, hi, YouTube and Rumble
00:02:55.780 and X. I'm just hanging out. Marcella and Owen will be here shortly. I had this whole plan of
00:03:05.020 these thumbnails for the show leading up to Halloween, but then like Owen had a day off
00:03:11.840 and then Marcella had a day off. And I was like, oh, and I like to have the thumbnail reflect
00:03:17.080 who's on the show that day. So, um, oh my gosh, Lang. So, um, I was like, I still need to use
00:03:24.400 these. I still need to use them. Oh yes, they did. I remember my dad had that Newton's cradle,
00:03:33.320 the little magnet thing. Oh my God. It was so fun back in the day. Hey, Craig.
00:03:39.560 no Chris the clocks are not changed again I just popped on early because I was set up and ready
00:03:47.920 and then Owen and Marcella I'm just chitty chatting until they come here
00:03:52.100 oh Dexter I know I'm looking at everybody's chat right now
00:03:59.540 oh Fletch
00:04:01.360 oh I'll show it to you here hang on I'll show you the thumbnail
00:04:08.500 ta-da let's see here it is you make it bigger how cute
00:04:18.520 aren't we just the cutest so this was like you know one of my halloween costume ideas for the
00:04:29.240 fam. So that's that. You're homesick. Josie, tell me, why are you homesick?
00:04:43.960 I should provide. Oh, really? Okay. Well, maybe in the night cave. Cute CW.
00:04:54.660 You guys are funny. Good morning from Florida Bay Drive.
00:04:59.240 You love, love, love. Let me see. Hi, Magi. Josie, are you sick or homesick? Cough, cough.
00:05:12.000 Hi, Morgan. Ciao, Resort Dog.
00:05:17.360 vlog. You guys are cute. Turned off the world last night. Oh, you're sick. Oh, you're home
00:05:32.520 sick. Got it. I thought you were homesick. Like you missed being at home. When someone tells me
00:05:39.600 they're homesick, I am so sad because I used to get homesick and I hated it. It's nice to see you
00:05:45.640 too, Tresso. Yeah, you guys, we're calmer today. You know what I mean? Like, what are you going to
00:05:52.560 do? What are you going to do? Hello, Julie. Let's get stubborn and take our country back.
00:06:01.920 Oh, yeah, I agree. Hey, Karen. I just popped on early. I said, let me start the chat going.
00:06:11.380 And then I said to Owen and Marcella, I'm going to pop on and say hi to everyone. And when you're
00:06:15.340 ready, come on over and we'll just get the show going. Yes, yes, yes. Good morning, BD Lion.
00:06:23.560 Karen, Leah. Did everyone recover from their hangover? I honestly just went about my day later.
00:06:32.200 I did a lot. You know what? This is my thing. Does anyone else do this? I really don't have
00:06:36.420 a lot of time and maybe I could be better at time management, but I'll do so much laundry and then
00:06:43.020 i bring all the baskets upstairs to my bedroom and then i just don't fold it and put away and
00:06:48.200 so i'm like oh my god so yesterday it was fold and put away day i was like holy cow i gotta spend

00:13:35.100 75% better.
00:13:37.080 It's called the Simultaneous Sip.
00:13:38.260 It happens now.
00:13:38.900 Go.
00:13:42.560 Ah.
00:13:44.240 I feel science.
00:13:47.000 becoming more accurate. I feel data starting to be credible and that's just one sip. Imagine if
00:13:56.960 I finished that entire mug. Oh yeah. Oh yeah. Oh, that would be dangerous. If you finish that mug,
00:14:06.000 imagine what happened. Owen, how you doing over there? Did I just hear you
00:14:12.240 gulp your your liquid down yes you did oh look at scott ritchie with the memes you guys if you're
00:14:20.420 not on locals honestly consider subscribing it is hysterical over here it's i i can't remember
00:14:26.980 if it's 17 cents a day or 19 cents a day it's 70 for the year it's scottadams.locals.com
00:14:35.440 and it's just the best chat going they put the funniest memes they make real-time memes of us
00:14:41.380 all the time. Scott Ritchie, especially. I'll have my little hoop earrings on by the end of
00:14:46.140 the show. They're like this big and there's like a pineapple behind me. And then I've got big
00:14:50.240 bouffant hair. It's a fun time over here. Lots of animal pictures, lots of inappropriate memes.
00:14:57.400 You have to have a sense of humor to be over here. That's for sure. So welcome to the Scott Adams
00:15:03.360 School. I'm Erica. Next to me is Owen and there's Marcella and the home team. We are here together
00:15:09.240 again. You guys, Splashy Dog ran away, and I was like, here, boy, here, boy. I was looking
00:15:16.660 for him forever. Oh, my God. Did you find him? I did. He's a good boy. Look, he came
00:15:22.360 home. We needed him yesterday, but I found Splashy Dog, so he's back. I know everybody's
00:15:39.700 happy. Yay. So Marcella, since you were gone yesterday, I didn't tell you I was going to do
00:15:47.900 this, but if you would like to, you know, put in your two cents about yesterday in a way that makes
00:15:55.240 us all feel non-suicidal, we would love it. So I figured out what happened, you guys. I have the
00:16:04.540 solution. So yesterday, well, the day before that, did the Democrats win or did the Republicans lose?
00:16:14.740 The question is important to answer. Depending on which movie you're watching, on one movie, you have the Democrats winning because it was a rejection of Donald Trump policies, of Republican policies, everything associated with it, and a support for socialism.
00:16:38.700 On the second movie, we have Republicans losing because they failed to persuade that their lives were, that our lives were improving under them.
00:16:48.580 But if the Democrats didn't need to, what if I told you the Democrats didn't need to convince you that they had better policies?
00:16:56.040 Because that's not what they did.
00:16:57.500 No.
00:16:58.180 What if the only thing they needed to do was convince you that the people currently running things made your life worse?
00:17:05.880 That's the difference.
00:17:06.960 The difference is persuasion. The question is always persuasion. The answer is always persuasion.
00:17:12.860 So they had a better persuasion game than the Republicans than we did. I would say a lot of us
00:17:19.740 here are Republican. So I could say we. You cannot persuade people that they're winning
00:17:28.040 when their personal experience says otherwise. That was the other problem. Because you can ask
00:17:33.680 yourself you can show thousands of statistics that the economics is going to improve the stock
00:17:41.240 market is improving but your general folks they don't have stock in the stock market they don't
00:17:49.780 they have groceries they have gas they have bills to pay but if somebody stands in the grocery store
00:17:57.580 and their money doesn't go as far as it can,
00:18:01.360 your statistics, your persuasion doesn't cover that.
00:18:07.960 Every single time, and then there's the Iran war.
00:18:12.080 You can argue that we shouldn't have gone there. 0.99
00:18:14.640 You can argue that we should have gone there.
00:18:16.600 You can justify it. You cannot.
00:18:19.440 But voters don't evaluate these things as military strategists do
00:18:24.860 or even as we would do. Because when we talk about us, we are very informed, we know all the
00:18:33.320 ins and outs of how many ships have been blown off in Hormuz Strait. But the general people that are
00:18:41.080 voting, the majority don't really look into that. They see gasoline prices going up. They see
00:18:46.760 uncertainty. They see another international problem with no obvious ending. And then they
00:18:52.940 asked the simplest question, is my life better? And if the answer is no, that's a persuasion
00:19:00.040 problem. But you would ask yourself, if Donald Trump is the persuader in chief, if he is the
00:19:08.480 ultimate persuader, why did that not resolve the issue? Well, the problem that he encountered was
00:19:16.220 a problem the persuasion could not solve. The problem is that persuasion met reality.
00:19:24.800 And one of the issues that I see, and we can talk about what went wrong, but one of the issues that
00:19:32.280 we see here is that when you're telling people to sacrifice, to do high gasoline prices,
00:19:41.400 Americans have sacrificed for many wars. They've done World War One, World War Two,
00:19:48.120 Korea, Vietnam, not so well, you know, but Iraq, Afghanistan, and now Iran, and people will, 0.86
00:19:59.300 Americans will sacrifice, we will sacrifice. However, you have to explain the reasons beyond 0.64
00:20:05.620 saying, we're going there for nukes. You also have to win them over. You have to persuade them
00:20:13.120 that their sacrifice means something and that the end is inside. A lot of us, Owen, Erica,
00:20:19.920 a lot of us in the chat have spoken many times about, is it going to end in three months? Is
00:20:26.520 it going to end in two weeks? Is it going to, where are we going? What's next? You know,
00:20:32.980 We don't even know where it's going. So if you outline to the American people, perhaps not an end date because you can't do that, but you outline to the American people some semblance of a plan of, okay, now the high prices are high. This is what we're going to do to Hormuz. It's kind of like they left it there.
00:20:54.420 I saw a lot of Hormuz things that they wanted to do in the Strait of Hormuz to let the ships in, let the ships out, be able to do this, do that.
00:21:04.320 But they needed to verbalize it more to the American people because it doesn't matter.
00:21:07.980 We're the 1%.
00:21:08.960 And you're going to do what you just did in the chat. 0.99
00:21:13.740 You're going to do what losers do. 0.97
00:21:20.980 And we're not losers. 0.90
00:21:22.160 We're winners.
00:21:22.640 you're going to say that it's the media you're going to say that pundits and podcasters and
00:21:29.640 and just fraud and voter fraud and all this but when you lose texas when you lose georgia when
00:21:36.520 you i think lose kansas and mississippi places where we know are not liberal um the most dangerous
00:21:46.140 thing you can do as a republican is convince yourself that you don't have to do anything
00:21:50.800 that the fundamentals need not to change. Democrats have their own problem. They will
00:21:57.580 have this problem because they need to discover that being in opposition is considerably easier
00:22:03.100 than being responsible for results. And that is going to lead them into 2028 and it's going to
00:22:08.580 help us. But winning an election is not the same as governing successfully. So because
00:22:16.180 what losers do is they hide away from reality. They need to take account. We need to take 0.96
00:22:25.500 ownership of certain things. And it doesn't mean that the country became liberal overnight.
00:22:33.440 The country is not liberal. The country did not change just because of one election. It doesn't
00:22:41.000 mean Trump is finished politically. It doesn't, we can't make those assumptions. It doesn't mean
00:22:46.580 that, um, persuasion can't win again, but we have to take account of what's wrong and realize that
00:22:58.300 it's not, it's a systemic problem. Like, like Scott would say, it's the system itself. What
00:23:04.840 happens? You might want to stop blaming the individual candidates because when you lose in
00:23:09.580 places that where you thought you couldn't lose.
00:23:12.040 That's not just an election problem.
00:23:14.500 Like I said, it's a systematic problem.
00:23:18.400 Over the next few days, we're going to see a lot of people, uh, you know, go back
00:23:24.260 and forth about why the reasons of why these things are the way they are.
00:23:29.500 And as, as winners that we are, we're not going to act like losers, which
00:23:34.380 is protect the story that makes them feel comfortable.
00:23:37.000 we're going to take account of what happened. And I think J.D. Vance did that yesterday.
00:23:43.080 And we're going to take account further of how we can persuade better. And if in fact the Iran
00:23:51.080 war is necessary, as we are told, then they need to do that. They need to convince the voter.
00:23:57.680 They need to convince the voter that under their policies, their life is better. Me and you and
00:24:03.240 everybody else that has a thinking mind know that under communism,
00:24:08.120 down their socialism, your life will not be better, but it's not sufficient.
00:24:13.360 You actually have to prove that your policies under your policies,
00:24:17.800 life will be better and how that would be.
00:24:21.260 But ending in a more, um, in a more positive note, again, elections,
00:24:29.860 America is bigger than any election.
00:24:34.080 Just because these elections were the way that they were,
00:24:38.280 it doesn't mean that there is no future for America.
00:24:41.060 America is way bigger.
00:24:42.440 It belongs to you, to the American people,
00:24:45.360 not to the politicians in Washington,
00:24:47.380 not to any politicians whatsoever.
00:24:49.880 So when you feel down, do not feel down.
00:24:53.360 Your success in life is not determined by who wins elections.
00:24:57.440 Your success in life is determined by you.
00:25:00.340 You are the author of your own reality, as we know from Scott.
00:25:04.460 So get up, do what you need to do, control what you can and go in and keep on persuading
00:25:14.080 because your policies, the conservative policies are winning policies.
00:25:19.380 That's why I am a conservative, not because I'm part of the team and I
00:25:24.120 want to like cheer on everything that we do.
00:25:26.900 We have to go back to the conservative principles that got us together that
00:25:31.020 can improve America.
00:25:32.980 And that is individualism, that is capitalism, that is small government,
00:25:40.460 that is the constitution and continuing on with the constitution and allowing
00:25:47.060 us to have our second amendment rights.
00:25:50.220 And so I just, no, I'm not running.
00:25:54.360 And Estella has spoken. It's finished. But your success, again, is not determined by who wins elections. And it was just a persuasion problem.

00:27:09.080 All right, the end.
00:27:10.240 Did anybody fall asleep?
00:27:12.140 No.
00:27:12.660 I think Owen's asleep.
00:27:13.960 Go, Marcella, go.
00:27:16.040 All right, so Owen,
00:27:17.300 would you like to add on to that?
00:27:19.400 so everybody can also continue to feel better?
00:27:22.980 I like a lot of what Mursav said.
00:27:24.940 I mean, I do think that I hope the message
00:27:26.740 that people take away from this is we should not,
00:27:30.060 like some people are saying we should moderate
00:27:31.820 or we should move to the left.
00:27:34.640 And I don't think that's the right answer at all.
00:27:37.580 I think if anything, we need to double down on America first. 0.79
00:27:41.560 And I think that's consistent with what you were saying, Mursav.
00:27:43.760 I think that some of it was like energy,
00:27:48.440 You know, how much energy are you bringing to people getting inspired that if they elect this person, good things will happen? And I didn't see much of that on the right. You know, there were certainly the team sport sort of things like, hey, let's get our person instead of their really bad person. But mostly it was focused on how bad the other side was, as opposed to how good it would be on our side.
00:28:07.140 And, you know, I certainly do think the Iran war was probably the primary factor, but, you know, also just the economy. And I don't know that there was anything we could do about those things more than what Trump has done. I mean, maybe there was more.
00:28:22.440 Iran. But I think the decision to enter and stay in the Iran war was probably, from a political
00:28:29.580 perspective, the mistake. And I said yesterday, and I posted online and people are arguing with
00:28:34.360 me about this, that if there was a real threat that Iran was going to have an nuclear weapon, 1.00
00:28:39.680 then it probably was worth it. To even say, okay, even if I lose the midterms, 0.98
00:28:44.560 I'm just going to do that because I can't allow Iran to get a nuclear weapon and then maybe bomb 0.94
00:28:48.700 Israel or even bomb us and maybe even start World War III. I mean, if I were in Trump's shoes and
00:28:55.160 if I thought we had solid information, and again, I have no way of knowing whether that information
00:29:01.240 is solid or how close they were. But if that was true, then I could see why you would say,
00:29:06.700 okay, I'm going to sacrifice even if it means I don't have a Republican Congress for two years
00:29:11.020 to make sure that, you know, that's not part of my legacy that I brought on the end of the world
00:29:17.060 or I brought on a nuclear war, or I allowed someone who was ready to use a nuclear weapon
00:29:21.200 on us or our allies to do that. So I think that was an element of this. But I think in terms of
00:29:28.060 how to move forward, I completely agree. I think we should try and have the right policies and
00:29:33.140 keep pushing to get good things done with executive orders or however we can. Obviously,
00:29:37.440 nothing good is going to happen in Congress. But I also think some of the things that happened
00:29:43.480 over the midterms may end up backfiring in 2028.
00:29:45.900 And that's my hope, certainly, is that we can basically show
00:29:50.780 that the Democrats didn't deliver on their promises
00:29:53.220 and they did a lot of the bad things we were predicting
00:29:55.600 and that the things we did were pushing things in the right direction
00:30:00.000 and the things they're pushing for are pushing in the wrong direction.
00:30:02.920 And if we can also improve the economy at the same time,
00:30:07.900 and in theory, the Democrats are saying they're going to help with affordability,
00:30:11.140 So let's see what they do. But if they're willing to actually make that happen, then that may actually help us too. And that's why I'm skeptical that the Democrats are actually going to do it. They're probably just going to spend all their time impeaching Trump and lawfare and all the other stuff. But that also might backfire. When you see that they said they were going to do all these great things, and then they spent all their time bringing Hegseth in front of a hearing or trying to impeach Trump, then people are going to say, what the hell? Why did I elect you if that's all you were going to do?
00:30:38.080 So I think there is a silver lining, but I think there certainly is also a lot of work to do.
00:30:43.640 Yeah. And like a lot of men are correctly, a lot of people are correctly saying the men stayed home.
00:30:50.360 I agree with that. And, you know, we villainized men too much. We're villainizing the wrong, not we, but people are villainizing the wrong people all the time.
00:31:00.920 um now it's going to be like let's go after elon and elon you know thought he safely landed in
00:31:07.800 texas and putting his giga factory there and everything else and now he's going to have a
00:31:12.640 hell of a problem in texas because who would have ever thought texas would turn
00:31:18.280 completely democrat slash communist socialist whatever ist um that i never thought would
00:31:26.460 happen. And I agree about persuasion. There was, there was like nothing persuasive from anyone
00:31:32.420 about anything. Actually, it was very lackluster. There was nothing inspiring. I didn't hear
00:31:37.940 anything from Ken Paxton and he had a lot of ground to make up with where he started. And again,
00:31:45.460 you know, I don't want to get too into the weeds because it's just going to piss people off.
00:31:50.060 I just can't do this again today. But I know. But, you know, anyone saying that it wasn't the war.
00:32:00.800 It was the war. Let me just say that it was it was the war. I mean, Sean Hannity here. Here's
00:32:06.300 Sean Hannity. Listen, if we as a country did not go into the war in Iran and that was not
00:32:13.180 on the agenda tonight is this a much different race tonight i think 100 i don't think there's 0.94
00:32:20.420 any doubt about it so i'm just saying like it would have been nice sean hannity since you've
00:32:26.140 said that uh trump is your best friend if you had said something sooner um you know and again it's
00:32:33.860 like hannity has this habit of like telling us the truth after the fact and it makes me so angry
00:32:41.580 but like I was talking to Marcella and I was like you know like okay let's just let's just say it's
00:32:47.700 not Israel and it's Italy I'm not freaking out over Italy because I'm Italian I'm not like yes
00:32:54.640 you know like put my country on the line for that other country you know I'm not like come on let's
00:32:59.720 go you know and I don't get that it's like what are we doing like where did America go so I'm
00:33:06.680 sorry. I'm sorry. I know. Like, listen, I do love President Trump. I have to say it so people don't
00:33:12.180 freak out on me, but he didn't do what he said he was going to do. And I felt just like I felt when
00:33:18.140 Obama was president, which is completely abandoned, ignored, not thought of, and just tossed aside.
00:33:26.160 And that's just how I've felt. And, um, that the, the polls reflected that. So it was,
00:33:32.780 it was Democrats and independents that put president in office, President Trump in office
00:33:38.380 this past time. And those same people were like, well, I'm not doing that again. So, you know,
00:33:43.540 they stayed home or they voted the other way. And I think a lot of Republicans also stayed home
00:33:49.440 and voted the other way. And actually, ironically, the Jewish vote went, I think, 4% more to the
00:33:56.500 Democrats. So, you know, it's just interesting, but we have to just get real about it and
00:34:02.980 understand 2028 is really important. Um, go ahead, Marcella. No, what I was going to say is like,
00:34:09.580 if in fact, like Owen was saying, um, and, and people have said that if Rand had a, we need to
00:34:17.180 get rid of it because it'd be our own destruction. Um, I get that. Okay. Then explain to the
00:34:26.280 American people where they need to sacrifice.
00:34:28.680 Don't just say, well, it's just a little bit of gas, you know?
00:34:32.300 So I think the dismissive language, the persuader in chief didn't get
00:34:37.020 persuasive with that, with the challenge of, Hey, we got to get together.
00:34:43.620 It's a mission.
00:34:44.440 We must, you know, sort of like the fire, I hate to say it FDR, I hate FDR, but
00:34:51.020 fire chats of like we must push together we must accomplish this goal together to destroy this
00:34:59.580 nuke because it'll destroy it so we're destroying destruction something further to the american
00:35:05.980 people when you are having issues at home putting food for your kids yeah to do anything i personally
00:35:15.180 am affected um and a lot of people are yeah um and you can't not be affected well some people
00:35:23.820 you know have the money to be affected you know well but even still like i was listening to chamath
00:35:29.580 and you know he's staying in california he's affected yeah he's staying in california for
00:35:34.620 his kids and um you know he's gonna get hit now with the that crazy wealth tax or billionaire
00:35:41.500 tax or whatever. And he's like, I have to eat it. Like I'm going to have to pay all that more tax
00:35:47.380 and whatever. And, you know, he's going to lose that money. And listen, he's also someone who
00:35:52.820 does really good things with his money. So having a lot of money doesn't mean you're a greedy
00:35:56.960 bastard. It also means like I can create more jobs, more opportunities and businesses. So you 0.96
00:36:03.140 can't look at it like money's bad. But the other thing I wanted to say is it would be different if
00:36:09.600 Um, and then Owen, I'm going to come to you, but it would be different.
00:36:14.200 So, you know, first of all, most people are here.
00:36:18.080 They're not thinking about the wars.
00:36:19.380 Like, like we always say, we're more informed here because we're people that tend to be
00:36:23.880 on X and we watch podcasts and you come to the Scott Adams school and you love Scott
00:36:27.920 and you paid attention to Scott.
00:36:29.500 So we, we just, we know so much more than the average person.
00:36:35.040 Like I'm not even like tooting our horns.
00:36:36.860 It's just a fact.
00:36:37.800 And so when you know things like, first of all, I don't have one friend who's not like, you know, in this sphere that was paying attention to a Venezuela war and thought it was good. You know what I mean? Like they're like a Venezuelan war. What are we doing? And then we go over to, you know, and the whole Gaza thing and the, you know, just going on and on and on and on.
00:36:59.060 and then they see the images of innocent children being blown to smithereens. It's not a good look.
00:37:06.040 It's not a good look. And then it's like, okay, now we're going to Iran. And it's like, wait,
00:37:11.080 what is happening? Then you get like this, like I am hearing this stuff here and there. And like,
00:37:16.700 what did we sign up for? And now all you know in your head is like, all right, well, I don't like
00:37:22.020 any of this. And like my everything is tripling in price and I can't afford my life. And all I
00:37:28.780 hear about are these wars. And then you also hear that our intelligence told President Trump
00:37:35.160 that they were not on the cusp of having a nuclear weapon. They were like, we're in no
00:37:41.900 danger of that. We're not, we're not, we're not. And then you hear Beebe saying, yes, you are,
00:37:46.980 you are, you are. And it's like, well, whose intelligence are we listening to now? So if
00:37:51.800 our people are saying no, no, no, and another country's people are saying yes, yes, yes,
00:37:56.660 and then we go do that thing. Now I'm going to tell you right now, there's a lot of people that
00:38:00.900 could be listening to this that are just, like I said, pro-Israel. Like if I was pro-Italy and
00:38:07.180 they're going to be mad at me for saying that. But if you can't grasp the fact that the majority
00:38:12.320 of people in this country and probably this world that are paying attention feel this way,
00:38:17.640 you have a blind spot and you have a bubble. I swear, like, I love you all that are listening,
00:38:23.380 but i'm just telling you the truth the the iran war was the problem it drove prices up and it
00:38:31.420 drove people apart and and and the other thing that i want to say and then i'm done because i'm
00:38:36.820 going to be i'm not even looking at the chat because i'm going to be in so much trouble
00:38:39.400 but the other thing i want to say too like about the epstein files president trump did himself
00:38:45.620 no freaking favors by having pam bondy come out and be like i have it all i have it all it's too
00:38:52.340 gruesome to show. And then it's like, oh, I don't have anything. I was just saying whatever. And
00:38:56.960 then she's gone. And then Trump says, he says to his base, if you're still hung up on the Epstein
00:39:05.220 file and you're not moving on from it, I don't want your vote. I don't want you part of this
00:39:11.680 party. And I was like, did he actually just say that? And let me tell you what,
00:39:18.280 there are so many people that walked away that day. 0.99
00:39:22.340 Because it was like, yeah, sorry, but if we're going to be so pissed off about, I'll say the left, with the transgender and the drag queens and the disgusting pedo shit, and then as Republicans, we'll be like, oh, no, no, President Trump said to forget about all of the Epstein file children who have been trafficked and assaulted, allegedly, but we can't care about that. 0.99
00:39:48.660 you can go keep caring about the stuff the left's doing, but don't care about the stuff that the 0.99
00:39:53.040 Epstein files did. You lost the plot. So you either care about children, you care about
00:39:59.620 pedophilia, or you don't. And I'm sorry if this rubs you guys the wrong way, but now I got to say
00:40:03.920 it. It's off my chest. I wasn't planning on it, but there was a lot of issues at play. And so,
00:40:09.700 you know, I feel like president Trump did an about face on the majority of his base. And if
00:40:14.920 you didn't cling on to every little word he said and just go along with it he wanted no part of you 0.96
00:40:21.360 which to me sounds like the democrat party if you don't go along with every ridiculous thing that
00:40:26.440 they say and do and you don't abandon your own morals and feelings then then they don't want you
00:40:31.940 so all right that's the end of my scene owen what what would you like to say now to bring it home
00:40:37.620 oh i mean i think you both have good points and i think you know it's again it's done i think it's
00:40:44.660 time to move on and focus on what we need to do for 2028 in terms of politics. For anyone who is
00:40:50.020 really engaged in saying, how do we make a difference? That's what we need to focus on.
00:40:54.560 But I would go back to saying governing is different than winning elections. And I think
00:41:00.180 some people get wrapped up around just how do we get control or how do we get the next election?
00:41:06.400 And I really do think that at least in this case, from what I've heard from Trump, that just wasn't
00:41:11.100 his focus when he decided to go into Iran. I don't think he did it to try and win points
00:41:15.580 politically. I think it was the opposite, or not really the opposite, but I think he was just
00:41:19.440 thinking, how do I do the right thing here? How do I make sure that this nuclear weapon doesn't
00:41:24.260 get into the hands of our enemies so that they might use it against us? And so again, I feel
00:41:29.980 like he and all of us paid the price for that. And I would agree that he didn't do a good enough job
00:41:35.460 being persuasive about convincing us that this was necessary. But I do think he said a lot of
00:41:40.820 the things that you pointed out, Marcel, I think he did say, we need to do this to prevent them
00:41:45.600 from having a nuclear weapon. He just said it, I think, a day or two ago, saying I would even do
00:41:49.260 it again, even if I knew I was going to lose midterms. And, you know, people might not like
00:41:54.060 hearing that. And, you know, if you think that it was fake, and the intelligence was fake, then you
00:41:59.720 might be justifiably pissed off about it. But I don't have that information. I don't know what
00:42:05.440 classified information we have. So I would at least say there's a possibility that that was
00:42:11.420 true and that he did the right thing. And I'm not going to abandon Trump or hate Trump or any of
00:42:15.540 that because of this. I just hope that he does get back to focusing on domestic issues. And as I said
00:42:20.480 before, I wish we did get out of this in March or April. And I hope we end this thing soon,
00:42:26.100 whether it means we bomb the crap out of him again and end it, or whether we can kind of get
00:42:30.500 some peace deal diplomatically. However, it has to happen. I think we just need to do that very 0.79
00:42:34.620 quickly and move on to saying, let's focus on what's important to the American people,
00:42:38.980 affordability, get the gas prices down, get job growth, wage growth, all the things that
00:42:45.900 regular people care about. And I think that is the core platform that a lot of people elected
00:42:50.480 Trump to help with. And that's what they are going to vote based on. So no matter who runs
00:42:55.440 on the Republican side or the Democrat side, I think that's going to be one of the key issues
00:42:59.620 in 2028. I disagree that Trump spent a lot of his time talking about the Iran war. He said
00:43:07.240 one-liners, two-liners. The main speech he gave on Monday in front of the reflecting pool was in
00:43:15.080 regards to projects. And I know he mentioned it there in passing, but the projects that he's
00:43:20.640 doing, the ballroom, the this, the that, the people don't, you know, I understand what he's
00:43:27.240 doing. He, you know, and, and to be honest, I think Scott would think this is, this is his legacy
00:43:32.200 in the future. We're going to see these buildings and he's going to remain forever, you know, but
00:43:38.160 if you want to win a midterm, which I don't think he did, I don't think he wanted to win it so badly
00:43:44.660 because I think you focus on the people and how to persuade them to know that their life will
00:43:53.000 improve and their issues and they never gave much thought to the actual they never thought it was
00:44:00.880 really that bad because in their in our bubble or in their bubble it's not as bad so on on that
00:44:07.960 monday i think it was this monday that was a lot of time spent on talking about the projects of
00:44:15.480 how beautiful it is how this and that and at the end of the day that is also another nail in the
00:44:22.820 often because it's like oh okay yeah okay you have a nice building and i have no money to you know
00:44:32.460 do x y and z with it so um i think that that persuasion needs to keep on going while he is
00:44:42.580 president you know what i want to do the ballroom but don't talk about it just go do it i don't need
00:44:48.420 to see the beam being signed. Just do your ballroom. You did that yesterday. I know. Nobody
00:44:54.280 gives a shit. I think we could all agree we need a ballroom. Yes, a thousand percent. It'll be 0.99
00:45:00.640 great. I don't want to hear about it. I don't want to hear about it right now. You know what I want
00:45:06.280 to hear about? I want to hear about how we fix this. Here's New York City, okay? This is New
00:45:10.880 York. These are the Muslim elected officials in New York, okay? I don't care about the freaking
00:45:16.580 ballroom i don't want i don't care that you're standing in front of the freaking pool you know 1.00
00:45:22.420 it's like it's insulting like we're not stupid you can't be like look shiny object dumb people 0.98
00:45:28.020 look over here it's it's like enough okay but you know what we can we can we can overcome 0.91
00:45:35.060 we can overcome we're going to overcome we are going to overcome we have to we did not
00:45:40.260 We did not lose everybody. Nobody just became, oh, we're going to transition. All of us are
00:45:46.860 going to transition. And we love crazy ladies that are always drunk while talking. No, no, 1.00
00:45:53.720 no. They just need to be persuaded. And as we know, the Democrats will hang themselves with
00:45:59.960 their own policies. Marcella and I did not go on Amazon yesterday and order our hijabs. Okay.
00:46:06.080 it's not happening it's not happening i thought we were working on an arabic translation well
00:46:11.820 yeah i i you know maybe maybe i'll get i think yoan likes this whole like let's put let's
00:46:17.860 submissive women down yeah i don't know he's like oh i did see i think it was that comedian ben
00:46:25.100 ben is it i forget his last name it starts with a b but i don't remember but the you know he was
00:46:29.600 he's that conservative comedian that um has a lot of good things to say and he was just laughing
00:46:34.980 about how, you know, it'll be fun to watch as they take away all the women's rights and all
00:46:41.280 these places where they elected the Islamic people and to watch all the woke people realize
00:46:46.480 what they just voted for. Yeah, it would be interesting. Can I give you guys a moment of
00:46:52.540 Zen from the Jersey Shore? You know, I like to intermittent Zen. This is the Jersey Shore

00:48:03.860 okay i let it play out just just my real was that ai no that's real that's real that's really real
00:48:30.820 Oh, that's from my friend. Um, I always get his handle wrong. Oh shoot. I don't know if I have it.
00:48:36.180 Oh yeah. Protect our coast. He's like, he's so great about like fighting the wind turbines and
00:48:41.840 the whales and Jersey shore guy. Um, yes, we're keeping our dogs, all of it, you people, you know
00:48:48.280 it. Okay. So, uh, not that I want to move on. I wanted to play, um, just a couple of little clips
00:48:56.900 to tie things up here or tie them together or put it in a bow or whatever. So here is Greg Gutfeld
00:49:05.980 of what we can expect for the next two years. I think he said this the day of the election,
00:49:10.480 but this is true. And this is like what Owen was saying too. This is what we're going to watch and
00:49:15.980 what's going to save us. Okay. The good news is what happened after Biden won? Democrat overreach
00:49:24.700 It's going to come, and it's going to be hilarious.
00:49:27.980 It's going to be glorious.
00:49:29.440 You're going to expect investigations, impeachment theater.
00:49:32.720 They're going to say they're not going to do it.
00:49:33.960 You're going to have a progressive pipe dream wish list untethered to reality like you've never seen.
00:49:39.600 They will immediately alienate the country.
00:49:42.060 People like Harold, as nice as they sound, will be rendered irrelevant like they always are.
00:49:47.760 The left will govern until the party dies.
00:49:52.460 The Dems have lost the House three out of four times the last cycles that they've held it.
00:49:57.820 Reagan's party got crushed in 82, came back to win 49 states in 84.
00:50:03.040 It's because when America gets a taste of the weirdness, they return to the fold.
00:50:08.900 And you know this, especially as you get older.
00:50:11.520 Two years is a blink.
00:50:13.980 What can the Democrats offer to the things that you voted for?
00:50:17.540 When they see free health care, every suggestion and solution makes it more expensive.
00:50:22.820 Nobody believes it.
00:50:23.900 Crime?
00:50:24.920 Felony crime is plunging under Trump.
00:50:26.800 Has nothing to do with Democrats.
00:50:28.340 They coddle the criminals. 0.94
00:50:29.880 The economics, what are they going to do for the cost of living?
00:50:33.120 Are you absolutely serious?
00:50:34.880 Projective growth of government's 5%.
00:50:36.720 Do you think the Dems have anything to do with that?
00:50:38.980 That's going to be about AI.
00:50:40.500 When they try to stop AI, oh, God help us all.
00:50:43.940 The Dems are really good at selling free stuff.
00:50:46.880 And when you're out of power, that's easy.
00:50:49.740 But once they get a taste of it, oh, it's going to be fun, fun, fun.
00:50:54.920 The economy, Iran, how do the Dems fix that?
00:50:58.160 They can't even fix their party. 0.75
00:51:01.000 It's true. 1.00
00:51:02.120 I think that's one of the least things that I, all right, Owen, fine, no hijab for us. 1.00
00:51:09.040 The one of the things I'm least looking forward to, because it's just to go through it again, 1.00
00:51:14.760 is all the lawfare.
00:51:15.920 It's just so exhausting. I have to tell you, here he comes. Um, so Marcella, what do you think about
00:51:22.060 what Greg said? I mean, I think, I think that he's exactly right. Well, I, I wish I could say
00:51:28.360 that he's exactly right, but the, the, the examples he used are not the losses that we had, um, this
00:51:36.220 time. This, these losses are a lot bigger. Um, some, someone was saying that Kansas, I think
00:51:43.080 when wizard of oz was going on they they didn't have the republican since then
00:51:48.120 oh there you see our thumbnail today just for you kansas oh and dog bird oh yeah it was a good um
00:51:57.640 so i would say i would hope that he's right however there is a few things that i do have
00:52:05.640 to point out and not to be negative nanny here but the senate has the majority democrat and that's
00:52:15.880 six years that's a lot more than four years that is a lot and on top of that the senate has that
00:52:23.080 beautiful job the constitution gave it which is to approve judges that go on to the supreme court
00:52:31.640 and there is a few justices and judges that are getting older that are conservative
00:52:39.960 and they will have to last six years i know we have a problem with the supreme or you do it now
00:52:45.320 or you do it now how are they going to push that through right now they should try problem yes the
00:52:51.960 problem that they they need to figure that out that because i know that justice alito wants to
00:52:57.880 retire and he said that as far as i know he's he's talked about it um not because he's older
00:53:05.480 just because you know people want to retire so um normal people um yeah so owen that's a problem
00:53:13.320 you know are you looking forward to the law fair although it is like i'm i'm saying is kind of a
00:53:19.800 this is what you can expect from democrats and hopefully for 2028 people won't vote for more
00:53:25.240 of that yeah well i mean that is what i'm expecting and that that's what i am hoping 0.96
00:53:30.520 will happen is that they'll they'll just make themselves look like fools they'll be out of
00:53:34.120 touch with the american people as they have been and they'll be doing what's best for them or what 0.79
00:53:40.520 they think is best for them and um as opposed to actually trying to help people and make people's
00:53:47.080 lives yeah and so i think i'm i'm expecting nothing to get through congress i think there
00:53:52.680 There may be some persuasion battles along the way, like they could do something like Medicare for all and try and convince everybody that's the best thing ever.
00:53:59.160 And we'll have to counter that sort of thing to make sure people recognize how much of a disaster it would be so that when Trump vetoes it, it doesn't spill over as bad things for other Republicans and the next candidate.
00:54:09.840 But I think, you know, it's still, I'm not worried about legislation getting through because I don't think Trump will let it. But I think there will be lots of that theater and lots of just lawfare, other things going on. And so it's going to be, you know, fun to watch as the Democrats fall on their face.
00:54:30.180 Yeah. One other, I think, important thing for us to to talk about, just because this is been all over the news, was yesterday J.D. Vance put out a long post about, you know, his postmortem on the election and what he thought, you know, went wrong.
00:54:46.680 And, of course, at the top was the war, that the war was a problem, he, I believe, correctly and accurately stated. 0.58
00:54:56.640 And it's just so funny.
00:54:58.380 Like, I have this clip of Mark Thiessen who, you know, all right, I'll save my commentary on this.
00:55:06.860 But anyway, you know, so, okay, let me just play it and then we'll talk and then I'll talk after.
00:55:12.440 Okay, here we go.
00:55:13.100 Well, first of all, I was kind of shocked by that statement that Vice President Vance
00:55:18.980 put out.
00:55:19.540 It was, quite frankly, disloyal to the president of the United States.
00:55:22.880 He heard what he just said.
00:55:24.620 He said, I did it and it might have affected the election, but I would have done it again
00:55:28.240 because it was the right thing to do for our national security.
00:55:30.240 Dasha called him on her show yesterday and he said the same thing.
00:55:33.240 He's been saying over and over again it was the right thing to do.
00:55:35.220 I didn't see Vice President Vance say it was the right thing to do.
00:55:38.140 I didn't see him say Donald Trump is one of the most courageous presidents in my lifetime
00:55:42.000 because he took this very difficult political decision and put the country
00:55:44.940 ahead of his own political interests. 47 years Iran has been waging war on us.
00:55:49.860 He's the first president to fight back. I didn't hear any of that. All I heard 0.99
00:55:52.680 was we lost because of the Iran war and if you want to defend that go ahead. But 0.99
00:55:56.280 but but you better make that case. Well that's the exact case that Donald Trump
00:56:01.140 is making. He's saying it was it was the right thing to do. Why is his vice
00:56:04.680 president saying something different? Because he wants to run for president.
00:56:07.980 Well he needs Donald Trump's endorsement to run for president or he's not going
00:56:11.820 to get the nomination and if i was the vice president i would not be taking a a line contrary
00:56:16.840 to donald trump when it comes to the iran war right now well he also said the president did
00:56:20.860 that ew okay first of all ew mark theseon okay what's wrong with that guy i i can't he's a neocon
00:56:31.360 just he's a hater um so what pisses me off look i'm getting hot for real is that so i mean maybe
00:56:40.300 JD is running for president. We don't know yet. Marcella likes this, you know, we don't know yet,
00:56:45.760 but first of all, to say that he needs the endorsement of president Trump to win is not
00:56:54.240 true. Okay. It's not true. It might've been true if this was, you know, another time, but it's not
00:57:00.340 true. And, you know, not being loyal to Trump, uh, is being, being loyal to someone to your own
00:57:09.400 detriment and to a fault it's just stupid and when you see an election come back like it did i mean 0.99
00:57:16.440 this was yes a bloodbath and you're gonna not admit what the problem was and then you want to 1.00
00:57:24.280 run for president you're not qualified then if you can't say the quiet part out loud then you're not
00:57:30.600 qualified to run you can't recognize a problem if you don't right oh and if you don't recognize
00:57:34.920 a problem how are you going to fix it um so wait wait a second what are the odds that vance posted
00:57:43.440 that without showing it to trump first oh yeah he showed it you know so that's if trump said
00:57:49.060 that's disloyal i don't think you could post that he wouldn't have done it absolutely he's giving
00:57:53.300 vance the space to have a different position he's saying let me take the hit on this i'll talk about
00:57:58.680 it this way you can say your different opinion you can set the new direction for the country
00:58:03.260 We all know the Iran war is going to be over in two years. So go ahead and say you're against it. It's not going to hurt me. It's not going to hurt you. And it'll give you a platform to run on for president. It's the exact opposite of what happened with Kamala, where she's like, couldn't name anything that was different than Biden. And everyone said how idiotic that was. Why would you turn around and say doing the exact opposite is a bad thing?
00:58:25.040 yeah oh yeah and trump knew about like he even said yes i i know about it i knew about it
00:58:30.640 and i think it was good he said yes and then this is what i said yesterday when i played the megan
00:58:36.600 kelly clip that flipped everyone out where she said i hope president trump gives vance and
00:58:42.580 perhaps rubio the space now to distance themselves from how he felt about the war because we know the
00:58:50.300 war is a big problem. So yes, this is the space he needs now to separate himself to run. And
00:58:57.880 the, the vice president, you guys would never write a lengthy post like that without running
00:59:06.160 it through the president's people on the president first. Okay. Like they coordinate everything
00:59:11.360 and, and Owen's right. Trump knows like for lack of better words, I hate the term, but he is a lame 0.98
00:59:17.380 duck you know well in another month and a half he'll be a lame duck um and so yeah you know it's 0.98
00:59:24.300 okay but mark these and so disingenuous because they just cannot bring themselves to say anything 0.90
00:59:30.380 negative about this war because they want the war to go on owen yeah i mean it's just i i think
00:59:38.460 me this was a very deliberate step to set jd vance up to run for president it was a it was a
00:59:45.420 calculated political statement to say this is my view i did you know and i don't think he said
00:59:50.700 anything explicit like i you know i fought trump on this or anything but i think he he was saying
00:59:55.760 look my position is different on this and he was making it clear that he thought the war was a bad
01:00:00.420 thing or a mistake or that we shouldn't be there and he was just basically again creating some
01:00:06.460 space for himself to say this is going to be my agenda if you elect me here are the things i think
01:00:11.460 we should be focusing on and it's just smart to do yeah marcella no and and that's one of the 0.94
01:00:18.680 reasons why i was like why is mark these insane all this he's not dumb enough to not to know that
01:00:24.540 jd vance when he posted this on x he's not going to run it by president trump it's kind of like 0.64
01:00:32.760 i don't know what game he's running but i don't understand why he would say the things he said
01:00:38.400 when we all know that nothing goes out from J.D. Vance without checking with the president. So
01:00:44.580 I don't know. My guess is Thiessen just doesn't like Vance. And so he was just doing that to
01:00:51.880 hurt Vance. He's a Rubio guy, I'm sure. Well, I think he might be someone else's guy, a complete
01:01:00.840 neocon maybe i don't think he's a rubio guy either um i i don't know i can't speak for him but
01:01:07.840 one thing is i would say is that what jd vance posted is not enough if it just stays there
01:01:15.280 uh as a post that there needs to be the things that he listed those need to be resolved those
01:01:22.160 things need to be resolved uh for it not to affect him and it was a thoughtful post i feel like and
01:01:30.500 yeah, it had, he had to put it out there, but for Mark Thiessen to be like, it was just loyal to
01:01:35.360 the president. Like, Oh, stop clutching your pearls, please. Um, Oh, what? He's splashing on
01:01:47.080 me. That sound is so good. I love it. Um, okay. So what else did I, I mean, we had a whole different
01:01:54.940 type of show plan but here we are um oh the only other thing okay so the only other clip i wanted
01:02:01.580 to make sure i got to um dave rubin was speaking with chris rufo who we've showed before i really
01:02:07.680 like him um and you know remember when aoc was like oh my god woke one was nuts and i'm like
01:02:15.840 if anyone did not interpret that as wait till you see woke two because that's how i took it
01:02:22.660 immediately people were like oh now she's admitting being woke i'm like no no no that was
01:02:27.380 like her pretense to like wait till you see woke too um that's my belief i said it then i'm saying
01:02:33.540 it now but here's uh dave and chris speaking and then marcel i'll come to you first did we make a
01:02:40.980 mistake i mean was there a hiccup here that our side didn't get right in in burying woke it's like
01:02:46.020 we sort of got rid of it it felt like oh it was kind of get you could turn on a disney movie
01:02:49.780 suddenly and it wasn't completely infected with this stuff. I mean, what else were we supposed
01:02:55.380 to do to not end up in this place that we seem to be in? Yeah, look, I mean, woke, you know,
01:03:00.320 we discredited the woke ideologies in the realm of public opinion, but we didn't, you know,
01:03:04.900 essentially get rid of all the personnel and the institutions. And so it's the same people. So just
01:03:10.140 like Tallarico, Tallarico kind of feigned a post-woke. He restrained his rhetoric. He dialed
01:03:17.300 back his campaign platform uh but fundamentally we have the same people in the institutions
01:03:22.900 and the president did a good job eliminating dei within the federal government pushing
01:03:27.780 corporations and other institutions to dial it back but ultimately for example in the universities
01:03:33.540 the people just went into hiding they changed the names they changed their language they they
01:03:38.660 they kind of took cover for a number of years um but fundamentally we didn't change the structure
01:03:45.700 of the state. We didn't change the structure of the institutions, universities, NGOs. We simply
01:03:52.240 tamped them down temporarily. And so this has been a critique that I've been trying to raise,
01:03:57.160 you know, since day one of the administration, we actually have to change the structure of the
01:04:02.020 institutions. That's unfortunately not easy to do. And so woke has been waiting, plotting,
01:04:09.700 stalking. And I think it's going to come roaring back and we're going to have another fight on
01:04:15.260 our hands go ahead marcella yeah woke has never woke has changed names you know i think sometimes
01:04:24.740 when when there was like oh we got rid of the dei program in this corporation and then they like
01:04:31.820 went in hiding or how wufo said it but also under a different name like diversity or inclusion
01:04:40.780 there's still in in california to be a lawyer some of the things that you have to do the classes
01:04:48.340 at the mcle's as we call them some of them have to be like diversity or inclusion the judges have
01:04:55.600 to watch all of that that's like law you know so like all of these things haven't gone away they
01:05:03.060 haven't tempered they what i would say is like he was saying talla rico did temper it down
01:05:10.820 If you didn't look close enough, you could potentially be misled as, you know, he did what he needed to do, right?
01:05:22.100 But I really think a lot of them are going to tone it down at first, but then they're going to show their true color.
01:05:28.560 I think it will be full force.
01:05:30.640 I think they're going to go full throttle, Owen.
01:05:32.600 What do you think?
01:05:33.360 Yeah.
01:05:34.260 Oh, I definitely think Rufo is right that they are biding their time.
01:05:37.480 They're really hoping that they're going to have a Democrat president so they can rewrite Title IX again and reverse every single executive order that Trump had.
01:05:45.460 And that's why I've been saying for a while that it would have been much better if we could have put this into law as opposed to just executive orders, because that's a lot harder to turn around.
01:05:54.420 So I think it's a huge risk because none of that has happened.
01:05:56.920 The Republicans were not effective in Congress when they had control of it.
01:05:59.580 They didn't pass all these laws that they should have passed.
01:06:01.860 And they could have.
01:06:02.920 They could have eliminated the filibuster.
01:06:04.200 I heard recently that Chuck Schumer is about to eliminate the filibuster, so they may be doing it anyway on the Democrat side now that they have control. And so I think that was a mistake. I wish we would have gotten rid of Thune earlier and fixed that and gotten rid of the filibuster where we could have actually pushed legislation through and made a lot of these things permanent as opposed to just executive orders that can potentially be reversed.
01:06:27.260 And so I think it is something we need to watch out for.
01:06:29.920 And I fully expect that if someone, if a Democrat does win in 2028, that's exactly what we're going to see.
01:06:35.440 I'm really hoping, and that's why 2020 is so important, that if a Republican wins, at least all the executive orders can stay roughly the same.
01:06:43.480 And, you know, if the Republican wins, that probably means we'll also get control of Congress again.
01:06:49.540 So, you know, we would have another at least two years to get some good things done.
01:06:54.480 But, again, that's not an easy task. There's a lot of work to do. I think we need to run the right candidates. We need to run America First candidates, none of these rhinos. I heard that Speaker Johnson is stepping down as a minority speaker. He doesn't want to do it. So I think Jim Jordan has put his hat in the ring, which would be –
01:07:15.580 And Steve Scalise.
01:07:16.540 Yeah, and again, I don't know that they're going to be able to do much as a minority leader, but my point is, if you could get people that actually would do effective things into these positions, and if we did regain control of Congress in 2028, then it could be a very good thing for the country.
01:07:33.100 And so I think we should be focusing on that from a politics perspective, but certainly from a DEI woke perspective, I don't think they went away. I don't think they're gone. I think they're just hiding.
01:07:45.240 And so as soon as they can get the funding back and everything else, they're going to do it.
01:07:50.080 Yeah, for sure.
01:07:51.520 I put a poll up on my Twitter page that says, you know, who do you want for a speaker?
01:07:59.120 And then it says Brandon Gill or not Jim Jordan.
01:08:04.900 That's your choices.
01:08:05.620 Okay.
01:08:08.660 You know what?
01:08:09.400 I'm going to squeeze one more clip in because it's from a couple of days ago and it's just
01:08:13.500 going to become obsolete if I don't, because Ron DeSantis is making a lot of news right
01:08:19.960 now.
01:08:20.440 So I do want to play one clip of him because he's obviously going to run.
01:08:24.640 Or I heard perhaps he wants the job replacing Pete Hegsa.
01:08:31.720 We'll see.
01:08:33.020 But let's take a listen to him.
01:08:34.540 I don't think a tech company should be able to just hotline a hyperscale data center into a community that doesn't want it.
01:08:41.680 And I certainly don't think you should have to pay higher electricity rates for that.
01:08:45.740 So we're in a situation where I embrace technology that enhances the human experience. 0.92
01:08:52.820 But I don't want to empower transhumanists who want technology to supplant the human experience.
01:08:59.060 And some of these people in Silicon Valley, you ask them, hey, would it be better if machine just emplaced the human race entirely?
01:09:06.580 And they'll be like, well, they can't answer the question.
01:09:09.080 No, it's an easy answer.
01:09:10.160 That would not be a good thing.
01:09:11.720 So if technology is enhancing our ability to get jobs, start businesses, earn income, communicate, great.
01:09:19.460 I'm all for it.
01:09:20.640 National defense.
01:09:21.540 But if it's just trying to replace Americans, if it's saying, oh, yeah, you're all just going to be on a universal basic income and you're going to get a check.
01:09:29.760 So I think we need to bring some more some balance to the Republican view of how you handle big tech.
01:09:35.940 And here's the thing. They'll throw these. I just don't like to be gaslit.
01:09:39.880 Like, tell me the truth. So during covid, you had all this crap people were spewing Fauci. 0.99
01:09:44.480 And it wasn't true. One of the things they'll say with the tech stuff is, oh, well, we've got to beat China. 0.98
01:09:49.180 We've got to be China. Now, look, I'm a China hawk. Like I think the CCP is a threat. But,
01:09:53.920 you know, you have some of these big companies like Oracle. They built the biggest data center
01:09:58.200 in Asia and Singapore for the Chinese AI stuff. I mean, NVIDIA, they want to sell chips to China.
01:10:04.320 So like Silicon Valley is not trying to beat China and trying to join them. Silicon Valley
01:10:09.340 is trying to make money. And honestly, I don't blame them because they have fiduciary responsibility.
01:10:13.780 Their shareholders, if they're a public company, especially to maximize value. So don't tell me
01:10:18.640 that's the reason so i just think we need some balance i think the democrats have been able to
01:10:22.740 outflank the republicans they're running ads in florida and in other that we don't have any
01:10:27.660 hyperscale data centers in florida but but they're using that against our candidates and in place
01:10:32.340 like ohio we may lose the u.s senate race there because of the hyperscale data center issue so i
01:10:39.280 in florida i got the legislature to pass a law to say local governments have a right to reject them
01:10:45.080 outright for whatever reason they want and utilities cannot increase anybody's rates because
01:10:50.520 of a large load customer like a hyperscale so we don't have any in florida because they did want
01:10:54.780 subsidies you do it so we got to have some balance we got to recognize that there's potential harms
01:11:00.000 from the technology and i don't think you shut it down like bernie said but to just say that
01:11:05.040 they should be able to have it basically an amnesty from accountability that's not the right policy
01:11:10.540 It's also not popular. So as Republicans go into the next election cycle, if the Dems are on offense on this, they're going to be able to get voters who had traditionally been more conservative.
01:11:21.500 See, during the Biden years, if you were center right, they weren't offering anything for you.
01:11:26.120 And it was woke this woke that. Well, if they're going to now go, hey, we're going to we're going to stand up for you, protect you against some of the excesses of big tech.
01:11:33.940 the flock cameras you know i ordered those i ordered those down off um off the thing because
01:11:39.160 you know that we we used to have license plate readers at like a toll booth and they would send
01:11:42.880 you things now they're collecting all the data of everyone that passes that camera and they know
01:11:48.680 hey yeah you go to wawa twice a week and all that what the hell do they have a right a private
01:11:52.920 company be collecting this data so there's the issue sets are changing and i just think republicans
01:11:58.540 need to be wise to that we do best as a party when we are standing for small business folks
01:12:05.200 you know people that are working hard when we get into corporatism that's when you really start to
01:12:11.460 lose people don't be a corporatist don't just be aligned with a handful of big companies don't be
01:12:16.320 a crony capitalist you know the best way to end up in a socialist country is to push crony capitalism
01:12:23.420 OK, because that will take all these young people.
01:12:26.140 They're going to choose Mindami over a crony capitalist any day of the week. 1.00
01:12:30.940 Let's go.
01:12:33.960 Like, oh, my God, holy riffing.
01:12:37.400 Yeah, I think he found some charisma.
01:12:39.540 You know, he's on fire.
01:12:40.780 I think, you know, he ran the first time Trump was running or the second time Trump was running.
01:12:48.060 And I think he learned a lot since then.
01:12:51.440 And I think he's grown a lot as a speaker and presenter. 0.98
01:12:54.820 And I saw a lot of the comments in the chat were like, damn, like, okay, like he found 0.98
01:12:59.460 his charisma. 0.98
01:13:00.400 So he's got the riz, Marcella.
01:13:02.080 What'd you think?
01:13:04.160 Yeah, I think he's saying the right things, but more importantly, he's done the right
01:13:08.140 things.
01:13:08.900 Yeah.
01:13:09.480 He's not just talk, you know?
01:13:11.280 So I think that really resonates with the Republican party is that he can show that
01:13:16.440 out of all the states in the nation in the election florida was able to hold their their
01:13:23.240 republicanism their their uh they're conservative conservative and they stayed conservative even
01:13:29.880 after all of this even after the the issues that everybody else face it's not in not that
01:13:37.000 in florida gas prices haven't gone up it's yeah they were able to persuade their um their citizens
01:13:44.680 to vote for them because things are better with them than their lives are better. So I think he
01:13:52.660 really has a great chance. He had a great chance before. Now he has an ultimate chance.
01:13:58.620 Now with Trump out of his way, he has a way better chance. And he's not tied to any of
01:14:03.200 this nonsense that just went on. Owen, what are your thoughts?
01:14:06.760 Well, DeSantis won the midterms. I mean, I think that's one of the bigger stories out of it is
01:14:11.620 that all the odds markets are nothing. He's like a contender for the Republican candidate. I think
01:14:16.540 Rubio and Vance were both in the 20 to 30% range. So that basically means it's probably one of the
01:14:22.340 two of them. And I think suddenly now DeSantis is like 19%. So he's still in third place according
01:14:28.360 to the odds. But again, that makes sense because the Trump endorsement is probably going to Vance
01:14:32.380 or Rubio, though he would still be the dark horse. But I think a lot of people are recognizing that
01:14:37.160 he might be a candidate and that he might have a chance. Now, you know, I do agree that it's
01:14:41.780 probably what he just said is a better charisma than I've seen from him in the past. I don't know
01:14:45.940 whether he has enough of it, but I still have some questions about his electability. But I think
01:14:50.560 I would absolutely love to see the policies that he's been passing, no matter who the president
01:14:56.200 was. So like if he could, you know, I think he's great at governance. Now, I would also, you know,
01:15:01.320 qualify that by saying I'm guessing that means he had enough support in the legislature and the
01:15:05.480 state level, that he could pass all the laws to do all those things. I'm sure he did some things
01:15:09.860 with executive orders, but I think there probably was a lot of support from the legislature to say
01:15:14.960 they're going to put bills through that would be the types of things DeSantis wants to sign.
01:15:20.540 And so, you know, that just seems like probably the most effective conservative state government
01:15:26.580 in the country. And I wish more of our conservative states would follow that example and say,
01:15:32.280 let's pass all these types of laws. Let's pass all these types of things that will make it more
01:15:37.020 attractive for people who are conservative to want to live here and for people who are super
01:15:40.300 progressive to not want to live here. And I think that's what I see out of Florida. And I wish we
01:15:44.520 had more states that would follow that example. And I'd love to see some of that same effectiveness
01:15:48.260 at the federal level, but I do think it's a different picture. You're not necessarily going
01:15:53.020 to have the same support from Congress. If he comes in and he's just as populist or however
01:15:58.620 you want to look at what he's done at the federal level, he's going to be facing the
01:16:02.260 same rhinos that Trump did. 0.86
01:16:03.940 Right.
01:16:04.060 So like, it's a different game.
01:16:06.180 And, you know, you'd have to question a little bit, is he going to be as effective in that
01:16:10.920 seat as he was in Florida?
01:16:12.980 So, you know, I'll have to see how it plays out.
01:16:15.120 But I just think, you know, I'm not as anti-DeSantis as some people.
01:16:20.040 I'd love to see him elected.
01:16:21.420 My biggest concern would be, can he actually get elected?
01:16:24.000 Would he be able to appeal to that independent voter or even some of the liberals or people
01:16:28.360 who consider themselves moderate Democrats.
01:16:30.860 And that's really what you're looking for here
01:16:32.380 as the most electable person
01:16:34.140 is not who can appeal to the Republican base
01:16:36.260 that's always going to vote Republican.
01:16:37.820 It's who can swing those swing states his way.
01:16:42.620 All right, good analysis all around today.
01:16:45.840 You guys, amazing show.
01:16:47.300 You guys, if you liked any part of this show,
01:16:49.400 even if it was Splashy Dog or the ocean moment,
01:16:53.580 please give us a like, a thumbs up.
01:16:56.480 Um, and on YouTube, if you could subscribe to the page, it's just, it's just a button.
01:17:01.320 It's not a fee and ring the notification bell.
01:17:03.980 So you never miss a show.
01:17:05.340 We would appreciate it.
01:17:06.860 And, um, the home team returns tomorrow for Friday.
01:17:11.140 Yay.
01:17:12.440 And, uh, we'll have some, uh, lighter news and more Scott.
01:17:18.200 We had a Scott thing planned for today, but we just went off on tangent.
01:17:21.440 So, um, Scott will be here tomorrow with a lesson for us.
01:17:26.480 And, um, the best part was Stella interrupting Erica.
01:17:30.180 Stella had a lot to say today and she is not finished.
01:17:34.340 Um, okay.
01:17:35.300 So thank you so, so much, Marcella and Owen.
01:17:38.100 Great, great show.
01:17:38.960 And, um, I will stay for an Akira song.
01:17:42.900 If anyone wants to stay, if not skedaddle on out and let's say thank you to Scott and
01:17:48.540 Shelly for allowing the Scott Adams school to be here and to continue.
01:17:52.940 and um as always a closing sip to our most beloved scott adams to scott it's good
01:18:00.220 okay okay if you guys have to go go ahead if you want to stay stay with me
01:18:08.780 i gotta be all tomorrow bye guys bye you guys bye and then there's me okay what are we doing
01:18:18.940 oh, I got chasing meaning in. So how about some chasing meaning? What do you think? What do you
01:18:25.300 think? Chasing meaning or the universe owes me? Because somebody requested that. Let me make sure
01:18:30.180 I even have it. You know how that goes. I do. I have both. No, I don't. Yes, I do.
01:18:36.720 Do, do, do. Okay. The universe owes me. Let's go. The usual frame, the old way of thinking
01:18:43.560 is that if things are going wrong,
01:18:45.820 the universe is acting against you.
01:18:49.700 Have you ever thought that?
01:18:51.020 Have you ever thought, my God,
01:18:53.140 the whole universe is acting against me.
01:18:54.860 Nobody could have this much bad luck,
01:18:56.900 one thing after another.
01:18:59.580 Right?
01:19:00.420 Ever had that?
01:19:02.220 Very, very suboptimal way of seeing your world.
01:19:09.000 Now I'm gonna reframe it.
01:19:10.120 The universe owes me
01:19:13.840 The universe owes me
01:19:20.260 If you had a bad childhood
01:19:31.420 The universe owes you
01:19:33.500 If you had a bad divorce
01:19:35.480 The universe owes you
01:19:37.000 It's your turn
01:19:38.240 It is almost impossible for anybody to have bad luck all the time.
01:19:50.760 So if you have a string of bad luck, it is the surest sign that some good luck is on the way.
01:19:57.260 Does that make sense?
01:19:58.600 Because luck always gets to the average.
01:20:01.920 People have average luck over time.
01:20:03.960 In any small period of time, they might have extraordinary luck.
01:20:07.260 Or bad luck
01:20:08.460 But over time, it's definitely going to go back to something like average
01:20:12.700 So if you're in one of those, man, I can't believe how bad this is
01:20:15.900 This week, this week, this week
01:20:17.320 It's the surest sign that the universe owes you
01:20:21.360 And it's going to pay you all that
01:20:22.900 The universe owes me
01:20:37.260 The universe owes me
01:20:43.980 I know
01:20:48.260 The universe owes me
01:21:07.260 Ah, it's just like a little lullaby. I love it. The universe owes me. So, you know, Scott would
01:21:14.460 say, like, if you're going through all these hard times and things keep happening and, you know,
01:21:19.760 there's challenges, the universe owes you. Like, now the universe owes you. So expect it and go
01:21:27.440 after it because the universe owes you. It owes all of us. Oh, God, does it owe us now, right?
01:21:32.040 Um, so yeah, you're so right insight. Um, Akira captured him so well. And I have to say Akira is
01:21:40.380 a really, really great student of Scott Adams teachings and he really knows Scott's stuff.
01:21:47.180 Um, so it's, uh, it's, it's extra special. Um, if the universe owes me, then I would be a
01:21:55.940 billionaire. Listen, J-Spot, the universe owes you and it might not translate in money. Maybe it's
01:22:02.640 health or relationships or having a roof over your head, whatever it is. But, you know,
01:22:10.380 think good things are coming everyone's way. Thanks, you guys. Oh, I'm glad you enjoyed the
01:22:16.960 show. I'm just checking out your comments. I'll read all the comments later. But you guys are a
01:22:25.020 special group, let me tell you. So we'll be back tomorrow to finish the week. These weeks go flying
01:22:31.400 by. Holy cannoli. So we'll see you tomorrow, okay? Get out there, be useful. And anything that's
01:22:40.140 bothering you, just put it out of your head for now. It'll be there later when you want to think
01:22:45.180 about it, but don't ruminate on things that aren't going to change just because you're ruminating,
01:22:51.100 Okay. Oh, and Andy Wang, I will try to remember to pull that Alec Baldwin clip in for you,
01:22:57.340 but man, does he look like shit? Woo. Yeah. This one has not stopped the whole time. I'm 1.00
01:23:05.380 going to go give her a big smooches and her fourth breakfast. Bye guys. Bye-bye, Kevin.
01:23:13.080 Bye-bye now.
01:23:21.100 Thank you.
