Summary

Tommy Robinson is appealing his conviction for terrorism and conspiracy to commit terrorism. The British authorities have so far refused to grant him bail, and have not even granted him a chance to consult with his legal team before sentencing him. What does this say about the British justice system and how it treats political prisoners?

00:00:00.000 Well, good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen, and the rest of you, and this is Wednesday, July 18th, and you are tuned into Battleground.
00:00:16.760 Well, I hope you're enjoying this beautiful summer. It is summer in southern Ontario, that's for sure, and I'm sure it is that way elsewhere.
00:00:24.800 And speaking of sunny skies, potentially some good news emanating from across the pond in the UK.
00:00:33.820 As you know, the head honcho of Rebel Media, Ezra Levent, he is in London covering the Tommy trial, and I think we should kick off the show with that.
00:00:46.900 In fact, why don't we go to one of Ezra's most recent reports, and I'll give you a more immediate updating from some of Ezra's tweets, because they have wrapped for the day over in London.
00:01:00.180 So, if I can call on Mr. Producer to go to Ezra's tweet.
00:01:07.000 I'm sorry, Ezra's video.
00:01:07.920 Ezra Levent here for the Rebel Dog Media. I am outside the Royal Courts of Justice on the Strand in Westminster, which is really just a neighbourhood of London.
00:01:15.360 Three of the most senior judges in the entire United Kingdom, including the Lord Chief Justice himself, are presiding over the appeal.
00:01:23.080 Tommy Robinson has four lawyers.
00:01:25.060 On the other side, a lawyer for the Attorney General of the United Kingdom.
00:01:29.380 We haven't heard from him yet. We'll hear that after this short break.
00:01:33.140 The two big headlines coming out of the case today so far are, number one, Tommy is not just appealing his sentence, but rather the conviction itself,
00:01:40.760 and he's actually appealing his Canterbury conviction from a year ago.
00:01:45.360 The second is the shocking treatment of Tommy by the authorities, especially in prison, refusing to allow him to meaningfully confer with his own lawyers.
00:01:57.640 The details were just amazing.
00:01:59.860 I'm pleased to say that the judges are allowing us to live tweet from the courtroom, subject only to a publication ban covering a rape gang trial in Leeds.
00:02:10.200 So if you want a lot of detail minute by minute, I encourage you to follow me on Twitter, or we'll post this and other videos as we make them at TommyTrial.com.
00:02:22.800 Well, there you have it, folks.
00:02:25.800 And of course, we have more recent news because they have wrapped for the day in London.
00:02:31.240 And Ezra has been tweeting out that the Chief Justice says they have a complicated task before them.
00:02:40.080 I'm not really sure why it's that complicated, given the facts of the matter, and given what's being stated at this trial, and given that, remember, his arrest dates back to, I believe it was May 25th,
00:02:54.080 when Tommy was first picked up outside that courtroom where that Muslim rape gang was going on trial.
00:03:02.000 So it's kind of funny when they talk about a complicated task.
00:03:06.020 It almost sounds to me like, well, we're the state, we're the chief justices, we really don't know the law that well.
00:03:14.660 And, you know, this has been thrust upon us in only, oh, you know, two and a half months.
00:03:18.660 So my spidey senses are kind of tingling there.
00:03:22.520 And as Ezra notes as well, they hope to complete it.
00:03:26.740 That's this complicated task before the end of this month, July.
00:03:32.440 I agree with Ezra here.
00:03:34.280 He has tweeted that this seems excessively slow and that you'd think if they have to take that much time,
00:03:44.500 why not grant Tommy bail in the meantime?
00:03:48.660 I mean, I don't think Tommy is a flight risk.
00:03:52.660 I don't think he is a danger to society at large.
00:03:57.480 So I guess what I'm saying here, folks, is that there seems to be a little bit of vindictiveness here
00:04:04.880 on the behalf of the British justice system when it comes to Tommy Robinson
00:04:09.920 that we really don't see being applied to anyone else.
00:04:14.440 Far from it, actually.
00:04:15.500 We see with certain individuals committing certain crimes, the justice system bending
00:04:22.120 over backwards to the point of leniency.
00:04:25.660 Why is there this double standard when it just comes to somebody who is the messenger?
00:04:31.460 And I think really what we've learned, and if you're honest about it, and much of the mainstream
00:04:38.620 media in Britain is not honest about this, it's that Tommy is a political prisoner.
00:04:44.840 I really believe that.
00:04:46.400 And I think that's a disgrace, especially for a country with such a rich history of freedom
00:04:54.440 and rights as the United Kingdom.
00:04:56.620 So that is what we have on Tommy.
00:05:00.460 It looks like we won't hear anything concrete until the end of the month.
00:05:05.880 I hope because his shoddy treatment has been highlighted in this court,
00:05:12.780 and the authorities should be absolutely ashamed of themselves that they've treated Tommy this way.
00:05:18.540 I hope that's going to end.
00:05:20.760 We have now shed some light on this, and at least in the meantime,
00:05:26.820 I know the end of July, that's literally less than two weeks away,
00:05:30.660 Tommy has a more comfortable run of it and has not denied his basic rights while in prison.
00:05:37.340 In the meantime, here's a few things you can do.
00:05:40.880 Number one, you can contribute to Tommy's legal fund.
00:05:47.100 That's TommyTrial.com, and all the money going there is indeed going to Tommy's trial.
00:05:55.620 Second, there is SaveTommy.com.
00:06:00.560 Oh, sorry.
00:06:01.920 Sorry, Mr. Producer, what is the proper...
00:06:04.840 Is it SaveTommy.com or TommyTrial.com for the Tommy legal fund?
00:06:10.340 TommyTrial.com, indeed, I had it right the first time.
00:06:14.180 And, of course, you can get your free Tommy ringtone at TommyRingtone.com.
00:06:21.580 And if you want to help Rebel report on this issue, you can make a donation.
00:06:26.900 That's a separate fund from the money that we're raising from Tommy.
00:06:30.420 And finally, if you want, you can tweet, hashtag FreeTommy, and get your opinions out there.
00:06:38.400 And let's see what is going on in the UK right now, according to our viewers.
00:06:48.160 SynthWorks says, I ain't paying no lawyers.
00:06:50.540 Well, the problem is, SynthWorks, if you don't pay lawyers, especially in a trial where the chief justice is calling it a complicated task.
00:07:02.380 Can you imagine a lay person?
00:07:04.560 And Tommy's a bright guy.
00:07:06.340 Could you imagine him defending himself in something that the chief justice calls a complicated task?
00:07:12.280 You need lawyers, and you need good lawyers.
00:07:15.060 You need sharks in a trial like this.
00:07:18.140 I mean, that's why we're raising this money.
00:07:21.360 It's not to make a buck off it.
00:07:23.060 It's to help Tommy get justice and get out of jail.
00:07:27.520 And let's see.
00:07:31.800 BMTV writes, Tommy can die in jail.
00:07:35.400 You're probably right.
00:07:36.520 I think that's why he is in solitary.
00:07:38.220 He has an incredible number of enemies in prison that would consider that a badge of honor to harm or do something even worse to Tommy.
00:07:49.620 Let's all pray that nothing like that does happen.
00:07:52.780 It hasn't happened.
00:07:53.700 But it doesn't excuse the fact that the people, the guards, the people running the prison are denying Tommy his rights.
00:08:00.840 That is egregious, and it shouldn't be happening.
00:08:05.160 And let's see.
00:08:08.000 We have Miss Green Eyes X.
00:08:11.120 The government should be ashamed of themselves.
00:08:13.820 Yeah, and you know something, Miss Green Eyes?
00:08:16.100 I don't think the British government realized what they were getting into.
00:08:20.660 I thought, you know, if we go back to May 25th, when those, I think it was seven police officers, if memory serves, descended upon Tommy and hustled him into a paddy wagon.
00:08:33.680 And in a matter of minutes, you know, found guilty, bang, contempt of court, in a prison.
00:08:40.680 I think they thought this was going to be the end of it.
00:08:43.560 And lo and behold, around the world, there has been free Tommy protests.
00:08:49.480 And in the UK, there's been some very vocal protests about freeing Tommy.
00:08:55.200 And I think it dawned on them that, my goodness, instead of shutting down this busybody, this motormouth, this messenger,
00:09:06.320 we're potentially turning him into a martyr.
00:09:09.820 And that's not going to serve the government for its own selfish needs.
00:09:17.140 And CP Nationals writes, we will never be silenced by our corrupt government.
00:09:22.480 Good point, CP.
00:09:24.580 As Ezra said, he thinks that Canada is maybe five years, ten years behind the UK.
00:09:31.560 I mean, when you see things like M103, the motion banning Islam and Islam, sorry, the motion banning, Freudian slip there, folks.
00:09:43.280 The motion banning racism, but especially Islamophobia.
00:09:47.620 And you see how that's being interpreted in Canada.
00:09:50.940 I think this is the proverbial thin edge of the wedge in terms of shutting down the opinions of people who have,
00:09:59.820 let's shall we say, impolite opinions of certain groups, certain faiths.
00:10:05.440 So let's watch that.
00:10:06.940 And I have a clarification from Mr. Producer.
00:10:09.340 It is actually SaveTommy.com for the legal fund.
00:10:14.140 So forgive me, folks, SaveTommy.com.
00:10:17.440 That is money for Tommy's legal fund.
00:10:20.340 There it is there.
00:10:23.260 And for Ezra's expenses, it is TommyTrial.com.
00:10:28.400 That is TommyTrial.com if you want to contribute to Ezra's expenses.
00:10:32.540 That's a completely separate fundraising initiative on behalf of Rebel.
00:10:37.660 We are not taking money from SaveTommy.com.
00:10:41.300 Every single penny is going towards Tommy's legal defense there.
00:10:46.160 And the reason why we need contributions and we need to ask, you know, rely upon your generous generosity
00:10:56.640 is that it's very expensive to go to London.
00:11:00.180 I mean, booking a flight in the last minute, which was the case in this scenario, hotel rooms, even cabs,
00:11:09.580 it is very expensive.
00:11:12.280 And that is why we're relying on the generosity of our viewers.
00:11:17.280 And you know what, folks?
00:11:18.000 You always come through.
00:11:19.060 So if you can give anything, a buck to $5, it all helps.
00:11:24.600 And I just saw a comment from David.
00:11:30.460 Canada is not crude get out and protest.
00:11:34.500 Well, we've been covering protests.
00:11:36.760 We covered my cameraman, Efren, and I.
00:11:40.080 We went down to the British Consulate at Bay and College last month.
00:11:47.500 And there was a group of, it was several dozen people.
00:11:52.680 And, you know, again, people will say, well, why aren't there hundreds there?
00:11:57.320 Well, it was a Friday around 1.30 if memory serves.
00:12:01.020 So many people are working just trying to, you know, make ends meet.
00:12:05.060 But I'll tell you, the people that were there, including war veterans, who had a lot to say.
00:12:11.960 I mean, they were very vocal.
00:12:13.380 They were very intelligent about their support for Tommy.
00:12:17.300 And, again, like I said, here is something that I believe the UK powers that be thought would go away on May 25th.
00:12:25.920 And instead, they have created a monster of Frankensteinian proportions.
00:12:31.760 And, let's see, let's see.
00:12:36.980 Elos X, so much of us back, Tommy.
00:12:39.880 It's just a shame so many feel scared to say so.
00:12:43.560 And, you know, you raise a very good point as well, as we've brought to your attention on this show previously.
00:12:51.860 Just imagine, not so much in Canada, but in the UK, 900 police officers.
00:12:57.900 900 police officers, not patrolling the streets, not going after rape gangs, you know, not showing a sense of public security.
00:13:06.880 But rather, at their desk, looking into a computer like this, and searching for any kind of what they deem to be irresponsible or hateful tweet or social media posting.
00:13:21.820 And they typically find people who are just venting or expressing an opinion that goes contrary to the politically correct, polite society of Britain.
00:13:32.620 And the next thing you know, it's usually three or four in the morning.
00:13:37.000 I don't know why they do that other than absolute pure intimidation and scare tactics.
00:13:42.100 They're knocking on your door and it's, hello, hello, did you send this out on the social media?
00:13:48.960 And then you've got some trouble.
00:13:51.140 I mean, even if you're not found guilty, there's an economic penalty.
00:13:56.560 Because going back to lawyers and legal fees, you need a lawyer to defend yourself or you're screwed.
00:14:02.300 Trust me on that, folks.
00:14:03.300 And so even if they can't get you by the letter of the law, they will economically discipline you for having a contrary opinion.
00:14:12.620 And again, that is more egregious behavior from a country that is should be all about freedom and rights.
00:14:21.720 And Terry, when Stanley writes, free Tommy if he has been denied his legal rights in prison, that is illegal.
00:14:32.020 Free Tommy and ban Islam and the Koran and Mosque in the UK.
00:14:35.640 Well, the ban on Islam and the Koran and Mosque in the UK, that's never going to happen.
00:14:40.220 And really, nor should it.
00:14:42.640 I think, you know, here's some radicalism from me, if you want, folks.
00:14:47.120 How about treating everybody equally under the law?
00:14:49.920 How about not showing special treatment and special privileges for certain groups?
00:14:56.540 And I think that's what's going on.
00:14:58.720 And to your first point about Tommy being denied legal rights, again, once he gets out and once this is behind him, I guess it's up to him to pursue that.
00:15:10.740 And once again, that's going to be a very costly proposition.
00:15:15.320 As they say, you know, it's very tough to fight City Hall.
00:15:20.900 And let's see.
00:15:24.320 Now, here's an interesting one.
00:15:26.900 Mickey Monkchunk, all Tommy haters are pedophiles.
00:15:30.940 Well, I wouldn't say that.
00:15:32.980 And you have to be careful with language like that, folks.
00:15:36.040 I mean, this reminds me of Elon Musk and the Thailand cave rescue for those young soccer players where he had developed this little mini submarine.
00:15:48.800 And one of the experts on site basically said it was really a publicity stunt.
00:15:58.300 And Musk tweeted in response that this fellow was a, I think the words were pedo guy, you know, implying that he's a pedophile.
00:16:08.560 To me, that's actionable.
00:16:09.580 And here we are.
00:16:11.880 Elon Musk apologizes for calling Thai cave rescuer a pedo.
00:16:17.040 That's the first step in the right direction for Mr. Musk, because that is certainly an actionable thing.
00:16:24.380 And again, it comes down to this.
00:16:25.800 We don't have to, you know, resort to ad hominem attacks on those we oppose.
00:16:32.940 We just have to state the facts.
00:16:34.780 So let us not play that kind of game.
00:16:39.860 And real men fish writes, if Tommy was a confessed convicted terrorist like Omar Khadr, Trudeau would give them a pass and 10.5 million bucks.
00:16:55.680 Well, you know, I hope we're kind of conflating two separate issues here, but I'm really glad, real men fish, that you bring this up.
00:17:07.220 Let us, this payment to Khadr was made last summer, if I believe, last July, I think.
00:17:13.820 And let us always keep this top of mind, because next year, of course, is a federal election for Canada.
00:17:22.440 And we shouldn't forget about these kind of payments and other payments to people like Omar Khadr, who is a convicted terrorist.
00:17:31.240 And don't forget, not just a payment, but a public apology.
00:17:36.400 Can't remember, can anyone remember if Trudeau cried for that one?
00:17:39.800 I know he cries when he gives apologies to natives and to gays and cried meeting a Broadway, you know, cast of a play backstage.
00:17:51.520 I have no idea why he cried there.
00:17:53.320 He cried when he was given a photograph of his father.
00:17:56.520 Did he cry at that apology, too?
00:17:58.860 And I'm always still so miffed that the ostensible reason that the liberals say they gave that big juicy check of 10.5 million was the fact that, well, you know, to fight this in court, it would be, you know, in the tens of millions, maybe even the hundreds of millions.
00:18:19.760 And perhaps we're going to lose.
00:18:21.760 You know, it's funny, folks, isn't it, when it comes to Omar Khadr, that the liberals, the tax and spend liberals suddenly become fiscal conservatives with our money.
00:18:30.880 Suddenly they're worried about the bottom line and the budget, the deficit and doing the right thing financially.
00:18:36.920 So, yeah, I'm sorry.
00:18:38.240 I don't buy that.
00:18:39.380 And I would say this, being a fiscal conservative myself, that even if this was a fool's errand, I think on a matter of principle, they should have fought that hammer and tong, this idea of giving that rat, that sewer rat, any compensation.
00:18:57.680 By the way, am I going to get condemned for calling Omar Khadr a sewer rat?
00:19:01.240 I know, you know, if Desmond Cole's tuning in, he didn't like it when Mayor John Tory referred to a couple of gangbangers as sewer rats when they shot at some little girls on a playground.
00:19:15.880 Sewer rats have feelings, too.
00:19:17.860 So to the sewer rat community out there, I imagine I owe you an apology.
00:19:24.300 And I owe you one, but you're not going to get it.
00:19:27.380 And let's see.
00:19:28.540 Oh, I'm having some, you know, technical difficulties.
00:19:31.240 Maybe one of my Mr. Producers will come in and oh, no, it's it's back.
00:19:37.600 It's working again.
00:19:38.560 It's just me, folks.
00:19:39.520 By the way, I refer to my crew now is Mr. Producer because they don't want their names being used and they don't want their extracurricular activities being talked about.
00:19:48.940 I think we have a bunch of people at the rebel.media that are in the witness protection program, folks.
00:19:54.420 I mean, I'm even in the phone book.
00:19:56.660 I don't know what these guys are afraid of.
00:19:58.220 I only use their first name, too.
00:19:59.940 But things seem to be working.
00:20:02.720 So let's find something else to talk about on Tommy, if I can.
00:20:10.820 And I think I saw something up here.
00:20:13.520 Synthworks says sewer rat is acceptable.
00:20:16.640 OK, you have redeemed yourself.
00:20:18.600 Synthworks and real man fish again says also going into the next election.
00:20:24.640 Let's not forget Sergeant Spear and his widow and children.
00:20:28.520 Indeed.
00:20:29.160 You know, remember one of the guys putting him back together, losing his life for him as well.
00:20:34.760 And we have a super chat from Andy, two pounds.
00:20:38.440 Thank you so much for your generosity, Andy.
00:20:40.720 And Sadiq Khan baby balloon to fly every day over Luton.
00:20:45.200 Now, is is that an actual statement of fact, Andy?
00:20:48.980 Or is that something you hope for?
00:20:52.180 It's something I hope for.
00:20:54.260 And and therefore I do hope it's a statement of fact.
00:20:57.300 But if you have something recent on that crowdfunder for the Sadiq Khan balloon and there it is.
00:21:02.760 This never gets old and, you know, I hope it's that big because judging by the the perspective that would make the Sadiq Khan baby balloon about five times bigger than the so-called gigantic Donald Trump balloon,
00:21:22.600 which was actually between something like 15 and 20 feet tall, you know, bouncy castle size.
00:21:28.600 And let us see what we have here.
00:21:36.280 And Michael Seferoth, hope I pronounce your name correctly, Michael.
00:21:43.460 What are the facts behind moving Tommy from the initial prison to a fully Muslim and grooming gang member inmates?
00:21:52.480 Great question.
00:21:53.480 And when Ezra continues his reporting, maybe that will come up in the trial.
00:21:58.100 Maybe it won't.
00:22:00.080 I would say, again, this is the state using its power of intimidation.
00:22:07.480 I can't think of any good reason.
00:22:09.800 Like I said, it's not as though Tommy is a risk to society or anyone else for that matter.
00:22:16.920 And, oh, we got another super chat, I believe.
00:22:23.180 Let me just try to.
00:22:25.860 OK, from Nigel, two pounds again.
00:22:27.740 Thank you again, Nigel, for your generosity.
00:22:30.240 You are cursed if you say Jesus is God's son.
00:22:33.480 And that is according to the Koran.
00:22:37.060 You know what?
00:22:37.780 I don't know if that is a line or not from the Koran.
00:22:42.220 I'll have to look into it.
00:22:45.540 It's kind of funny, though, because I know in Islam, Jesus is indeed a revered prophet.
00:22:52.020 So it could be true.
00:22:55.400 I don't know.
00:22:57.180 And we have from Wayne McLaughlin at Bob Zembiko.
00:23:03.620 We don't all put up with Justin Trudeau.
00:23:06.840 A large portion of Canadians despises Justin Trader Trudeau.
00:23:11.800 So, yeah, I can't fault you there.
00:23:15.880 From what I've seen, there is a huge block of people that don't like what Trudeau and
00:23:21.840 the Liberals are doing.
00:23:23.080 I'm more worried, folks, about apathy going into the next election.
00:23:29.400 That is people that are still looking at the issues based on optics as opposed to the facts.
00:23:37.520 And those people that still buy into, well, you know, he's a good looking guy.
00:23:41.140 He's got nice hair, great abs.
00:23:43.520 And they're really not drilling down any deeper than that.
00:23:48.540 That's what really scares me about the chances of this regime being reelected again.
00:23:54.200 It's a possibility.
00:23:55.480 You know, who knows?
00:23:56.620 But, you know, I've always agreed with Ezra's take on what happened in the last federal election.
00:24:04.120 And I think this, you know, speaks to some hope for those who support regime change in Ottawa.
00:24:10.060 And that is, it wasn't so much the Liberals doing outstandingly well or the Conservatives doing
00:24:16.580 outstandingly bad.
00:24:17.780 But it was about the NDP cratering in the province of Quebec.
00:24:23.320 Remember, going back two elections ago, the NDP had stunning gains.
00:24:31.520 And I think one of the big reasons they cratered in Quebec was a fatal flaw by their former leader,
00:24:38.840 Thomas Mulcair, who, as you recall, he went to bat for that woman in Mississauga who was
00:24:44.380 trying to get her citizenship sworn in wearing the niqab, the full face concealing Islamic garment.
00:24:54.260 And that doesn't play all that well in Quebec.
00:24:58.780 Remember, going back last year, Quebec passed the so-called anti-face mask bill.
00:25:04.980 And this was by a Liberal government in Quebec.
00:25:08.140 So I think Mulcair died on this issue.
00:25:13.020 I guess he's sticking to his principles.
00:25:15.380 I don't know what principle he's standing up for in terms of, you know, advocating that
00:25:20.380 somebody wears a facial disguise in public, especially at a citizenship swearing in.
00:25:26.960 But he did stick to his principle and he paid the price.
00:25:30.860 And you know what?
00:25:31.720 We're paying the price now.
00:25:33.020 We have the Justin Trudeau Liberals who are proving with every passing month that they
00:25:39.900 remain the not ready for primetime players.
00:25:43.680 And like I said, let's see if what happens in battleground Quebec come the next election.
00:25:51.040 And you know, it is one thing you can say about Quebec basically on any election is that
00:25:57.800 it is an incredibly fickle province.
00:26:00.400 They swing back and forth.
00:26:03.020 So let's see what else we have.
00:26:06.160 I think we might have another super chat.
00:26:10.320 Help needed five pounds.
00:26:12.180 Thank you for the five pound donation.
00:26:13.860 Help needed.
00:26:15.300 Can Tommy go into politics with his record?
00:26:18.080 For me, he should be immigration minister.
00:26:20.720 Oh, can you imagine?
00:26:21.560 You know, I don't know what the rules are in the UK if a criminal conviction precludes you
00:26:28.700 from running.
00:26:29.340 I don't think it would.
00:26:30.520 I guess if you've served your time, you've paid your debt to society.
00:26:33.680 I don't think it would.
00:26:35.040 But Tommy has had his experience in politics.
00:26:39.700 I don't think from when I've spoken to him, it's what he wants to do in the future.
00:26:45.600 It might be wrong about that.
00:26:46.660 Maybe things change.
00:26:47.980 I think he likes being a commentator.
00:26:50.640 I think he likes doing the social media thing of calling BS of what's happening in his country.
00:26:56.760 And maybe he's getting more attention that way.
00:26:59.000 And certainly, that would be the case right now, thanks to his incarceration.
00:27:04.700 Certainly, his story, his issue is getting out there.
00:27:09.520 And so, I think we've pretty much covered off the Tommy trial for now, folks.
00:27:16.760 If you want the most recent updates, please go on to Ezra Levine's Twitter feed.
00:27:23.620 He's got all the latest.
00:27:25.340 And as of now, just to recap, if you just joined as late, the court is out for the day across the pond.
00:27:33.120 And the Chief Justice says that they have a complicated task before them
00:27:37.280 and that they hope to complete this task before the end of July.
00:27:41.580 And as Ezra says, that seems excessively slow.
00:27:45.480 And you think they'd at least grant Tommy bail.
00:27:48.460 In the meantime, I agree.
00:27:50.540 I don't think Tommy's a risk, and especially since it's come out in the court about how shoddy his treatment has been in prison.
00:28:00.700 That would be a way of making amends, don't you think?
00:28:04.160 So, what else do we have?
00:28:06.460 Well, Trudeau came up in our discussion and just announced maybe two hours ago this morning,
00:28:13.300 there's a bit of a cabinet shuffle.
00:28:16.960 Trudeau is realigning the deck.
00:28:18.780 I guess it's in advance of going into the election for next year.
00:28:22.960 And look who we have.
00:28:25.480 We have Bill Blair, an MP who was not a cabinet minister,
00:28:29.780 and they've created a new position for him.
00:28:34.260 By the way, I should say that it's not really much of a shuffle.
00:28:39.980 All the senior cabinet ministers remain, you know, Morneau, Freeland, Sajan, Bryson, they're all there.
00:28:48.860 But Bill Blair is now, get this, he has the newly created role of Minister of Border Security
00:28:58.020 and organized crime reduction, and maybe that's saying the same thing with two different words
00:29:06.780 given who's coming over the border these days.
00:29:10.540 I've got to tell you, folks, this doesn't fill my sails with optimism.
00:29:16.660 I'm not a big Bill Blair fan going back to when he was the chief of police in Toronto.
00:29:23.640 And I'll tell you why.
00:29:24.440 I think it was, I'm going by memory here, and I'm only going to be paraphrasing, not using direct quotes.
00:29:30.240 But I remember Bill Blair having a press conference as the chief of police.
00:29:34.420 And I believe the press conference was about the sentencing coming up for a criminal
00:29:40.000 who had killed a Toronto police officer while on duty.
00:29:44.880 And what got my spidey senses tingling greatly was when Bill Blair said words to the effect of,
00:29:53.420 we can't just be concerned about the pursuit of justice, we have to be concerned about social
00:30:01.340 justice as well.
00:30:03.000 And I went, no, you're the chief of police of the largest police force in the country.
00:30:10.500 You're about law and order.
00:30:12.120 You're about preventing crime.
00:30:13.340 What are you talking about social justice?
00:30:16.360 This is the kind of crapola we hear on the campuses of U of T and Ryerson, you know, and other bastions of social justice warriorism.
00:30:26.980 To hear the chief of police speak like this.
00:30:30.120 So he played his cards, I think, with that one statement.
00:30:34.860 And suddenly, Bill Blair, who has a soft spot for social justice, whatever that means, and
00:30:43.280 if anyone can offer a definition, I would love to hear it.
00:30:46.600 He's now in the newly created role of Minister of Border Security and Organized Crime Reduction.
00:30:53.280 Are you happy about that, folks?
00:30:56.240 Please weigh in and I shall get to your comments.
00:31:01.720 And a super tweet here from Steep6, $5.
00:31:06.660 Thank you very much for that.
00:31:08.940 No comment, though.
00:31:10.280 So I'll just say thank you so much for the $5.
00:31:12.700 I do appreciate it.
00:31:14.640 And let's see.
00:31:17.040 Go on.
00:31:17.300 So anyways, if you'd like to weigh in on the Trudeau cabinet shuffle and your opinions of Bill Blair in this, what should be an important role, please have your say.
00:31:29.040 It should also be noted that one of my Mr. Producers, whose name I cannot say, pointed out to me, because he has an eagle eye,
00:31:37.880 that with the shakeup in the cabinet, it is now 18 men and 17 women.
00:31:46.020 Uh-oh.
00:31:47.840 What happened to the 50-50 split?
00:31:51.620 And why is it that if it's an odd number, it's automatically a male MP?
00:31:57.760 I mean, remember Justin Trudeau when he was asked about this, the 50-50 gender quota cabinet?
00:32:06.080 It's because it's 2015.
00:32:08.460 Well, I guess because it's 2018, the 2015 rules don't apply.
00:32:13.000 And you know what else really irked me about that?
00:32:16.500 When you think about it, folks, if you're simply, you know, making the cabinet up based on gender,
00:32:24.860 well, maybe there's so much female talent there that they should actually be more than 50% of the cabinet ministers.
00:32:34.600 So in a way, sticking to that 50-50 split to begin with could have been discriminatory against females.
00:32:45.300 Who's to say?
00:32:46.560 So, yeah, so much for the gender equity cabinet.
00:32:50.960 I guess we'll have to bring that up to him on the campaign trail.
00:32:55.560 Well, and so let's see what, okay then, bear with me.
00:33:06.860 Okay, I guess we're getting more comments about Tommy.
00:33:10.040 Strong Exorcist says the punishment doesn't fit the crime.
00:33:13.540 Even if there was a crime, Tommy is a political prisoner.
00:33:17.260 Well, you know, Strong Exorcist, I agree with you there.
00:33:20.160 And if the crime was indeed contempt of court, I think what Ezra has done on so many occasions in this space
00:33:29.960 has shown that the precedence for contempt of court, and we're talking about repeat violators,
00:33:36.340 nobody got 13 months in jail.
00:33:38.580 Nobody.
00:33:39.560 I mean, it is so over the line.
00:33:41.800 All right, and we have Mr. Producer number one tells me we have two super chats, and I'm struggling to find them.
00:33:53.660 And maybe we can have one of the trained broadcast professionals come in,
00:33:57.960 because as you know, my feeling about machines, folks, is they are out to screw you.
00:34:04.240 So that's kind of frozen up in the meantime.
00:34:06.820 Anyways, welcome more thoughts on Tommy and more of your opinions on the cabinet shuffle,
00:34:17.060 which is no longer a gender equity cabinet anymore.
00:34:22.520 And from Eric Heaps,
00:34:25.360 And not one solicitor will defend him.
00:34:27.840 This is how deep it goes.
00:34:29.780 Well, you know, he does have a good lawyer, but you're quite right.
00:34:34.320 Ezra has outlined in the past that when we started shopping for lawyers,
00:34:41.760 how tough this was to get good legal talent to represent Tommy Robinson.
00:34:48.900 And these weren't schleppers.
00:34:50.820 These were guys getting, you know, a thousand pounds an hour.
00:34:53.860 But it was too much of a political hot potato for them to take on.
00:34:59.300 I mean, they wouldn't tell us that.
00:35:00.660 They would say some kind of legalese gobbledygook.
00:35:05.720 And so that, again, leads me to believe that he is a political prisoner at the end of the day.
00:35:13.160 And thanks to my trained broadcast professional that came in while you were looking at the Save Tommy graphic there,
00:35:20.100 I can now read the two super chats.
00:35:22.220 And from Nigel, again, two pounds.
00:35:24.020 Thank you, Nigel.
00:35:24.700 Free Jeremy Bamber, now 33 years of injustice.
00:35:30.340 I will have to research that, Nigel, to give you an informed opinion, if that is possible.
00:35:35.360 And from Bob Bartos, $2.
00:35:39.500 Thank you, Bob.
00:35:41.120 Canada sucks again.
00:35:42.560 Thanks, Justin.
00:35:44.040 Well, you know what?
00:35:45.000 You can always get your Make Canada Great Again caps.
00:35:50.960 We sell those here at the Rebel.
00:35:53.320 And whenever we have a Rebel live event, it is so nice to see those red Make Canada Great Again caps in the audience.
00:36:02.060 Because Canada shouldn't suck.
00:36:04.760 And it doesn't deserve to suck.
00:36:06.640 This is the greatest country in the world, despite who's in the seat of power in Ottawa right now.
00:36:11.620 And let's go on.
00:36:16.860 Jason Shardlow says Tommy does not deserve jail.
00:36:20.820 And I would agree with you that even if he is in contempt of court, he certainly doesn't deserve 13 months based on precedent in the UK.
00:36:31.840 That is overkill.
00:36:33.600 And, yeah, it looks like it's all Tommy all the time.
00:36:43.240 No one wants to talk about the Cabinet Shuffle.
00:36:47.100 Aside from PKE Racing, Junkie Ottawa is a city of leeches.
00:36:52.100 Because, yeah, I suppose that is where so many of our tax dollars end up.
00:36:58.520 But it always goes to good endeavors, doesn't it, folks?
00:37:01.940 Like $10.5 million to a convicted terrorist.
00:37:05.860 David Jeffrey Spetsch says, laughing out loud, 17 versus 18, I normally would comment, but since it is Trudeau being attacked, I'll just sit back and laugh, Menzies.
00:37:22.580 And laugh you should.
00:37:24.720 Because he is being, what's that phrase again?
00:37:27.060 Hoisted on his own petard.
00:37:28.720 I hope, you know, in an upcoming press conference that he's taken the task on this non-50-50 split anymore.
00:37:36.840 And don't let him off with, well, it's an odd number.
00:37:39.960 We really should push for that extra MP to be female.
00:37:46.440 Wouldn't that be part of Justin and his feminist ideology coming to the fore?
00:37:54.240 And, all right.
00:37:57.480 Okay.
00:37:58.040 All right.
00:37:59.160 So, moving right along, what else do we have here?
00:38:04.460 Okay, let's lighten it up a little bit, if that's possible.
00:38:08.980 Have you heard about a supermodel?
00:38:11.580 Her name is Mara Martin.
00:38:13.640 Well, you probably haven't heard about her until today.
00:38:16.160 And we're going to run a clip, which will show why suddenly everybody in the world, it seems, at least in the fashion business, is talking about her.
00:38:24.580 Let's check that out.
00:38:26.200 Mara Martin.
00:38:26.800 She's the swimsuit model creating a big splash for breastfeeding her baby on the runway.
00:38:33.640 30-year-old Mara Martin rocked a metallic gold bikini in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Runway show in Miami.
00:38:40.480 But getting just as much attention is her five-month-old daughter, Aria, nursing while wearing headphones to protect her little ears from the loud music.
00:38:50.160 And, look, she's wearing her own little bikini bottoms over her diaper.
00:38:57.000 Mara Martin told the Today Show that it wasn't planned to go like this.
00:39:00.640 Mara was holding her baby and was nursing her.
00:39:04.780 I was like, do you want to just nurse when you walk down the runway?
00:39:07.640 She was like, I would love to do that.
00:39:09.960 Take me back to that moment when you step out.
00:39:12.060 The magazine editor came over to me and said, if you want to continue feeding your baby and walk down the runway, I completely support you.
00:39:18.900 Social media reaction was swift and mostly supportive.
00:39:23.120 Love this.
00:39:24.060 Mothers are super women and that should be celebrated.
00:39:26.460 You know, I'm not one of these guys, folks, that gets upset when a woman is breastfeeding in public and, you know, sometimes nature calls and you're in a restaurant or at a shopping mall and I have absolutely zero problem with that.
00:39:43.100 But why do I get the idea that we're being gamed here, that this was really an elaborate publicity stunt?
00:39:50.760 I mean, I'm reading the newspaper story in The Sun and Mara says she was pleased to receive so many positive comments, but she questioned why her actions were deemed as newsworthy.
00:40:04.440 Well, I think it's because if you're a supermodel and your job is to spend a couple of minutes strutting on stage, surely there was some other time in which you could have breastfed your baby.
00:40:16.960 I mean, the idea that this just organically came about, that, oh, I have to do my strutting of my gold bikini and Junior needs feeding right now.
00:40:30.620 What an unfortunate coincidence.
00:40:32.820 Oh, no, I'm not buying that.
00:40:34.280 In fact, I think it kind of belittles the whole idea of a mother breastfeeding her child.
00:40:40.480 It's almost as though she was holding this baby as, I don't know, a Chanel bag.
00:40:47.220 Look at my latest accessory.
00:40:49.620 Yes, it's a designer baby that came out of my womb.
00:40:52.420 Isn't she beautiful?
00:40:54.680 By the way, I can't, you know, you saw that clip, folks.
00:40:58.420 They were doing some fuzzy blue dot effect on her rear end.
00:41:03.020 But she is, correct me if I'm wrong, guys, she was wearing bottoms, right?
00:41:09.500 Yeah?
00:41:10.140 Okay.
00:41:10.940 Yeah, so I don't know why that blue dot was there.
00:41:14.000 Anyways, and that was the back, not the front.
00:41:17.940 So I, you know, it kind of reminds me of, I can't remember her name.
00:41:23.640 It was a liberal MP, I believe, in the House of Commons that brought her child to a vote and breastfed her there.
00:41:32.040 Like I said, not against, here we are, Karina Gould applauded for breastfeeding son in the House of Commons.
00:41:39.600 Now, the thing is, wouldn't you think that there's like a quiet place for that?
00:41:44.940 Or wouldn't you think that maybe on this day the husband or the father could take care of the child or maybe the nanny?
00:41:51.980 Or that there could be some other kind of arrangement?
00:41:53.960 Again, I think this is a stunt, essentially, to, you know, say to everybody, look at me, look at me, I'm breastfeeding in public.
00:42:06.180 So take that.
00:42:07.260 And again, I think the vast majority of people are not against anyone breastfeeding in public.
00:42:12.780 Like every, I don't know, year, two years, there's always some story of somebody losing their stuff in a restaurant because, you know, a woman had the temerity to discreetly breastfeed her child.
00:42:25.280 But I think for most of us, that's not the case.
00:42:28.760 But this, this, come on, this is a publicity stunt.
00:42:31.580 And I would love to see what you have to say about this as well.
00:42:35.960 Well, we have some super chats, folks.
00:42:38.420 So we have one here from Elaine Finn, $15, but no comment.
00:42:44.160 Well, Elaine, please weigh in.
00:42:46.740 But thank you so much for your generous donation.
00:42:49.600 Greatly appreciate that.
00:42:52.200 And Mr. Producer number one is saying there is one above that in green.
00:42:57.640 You know, I'm telling you, when they come out here, this computer doesn't freeze, but it is freezing right now.
00:43:02.640 Or maybe it's not registering any body heat from my fingers.
00:43:06.620 Maybe I'm in a stage of zombification because this mouse is not moving along.
00:43:13.320 And I'm so sorry to bore you with my technical difficulties, folks.
00:43:17.760 Click in the window.
00:43:19.700 Okay.
00:43:20.660 I am doing that, Mr. Producer.
00:43:22.960 And how about we...
00:43:24.980 Oh, here we go.
00:43:25.800 Okay.
00:43:26.200 Okay.
00:43:26.260 All right.
00:43:32.340 It is working again.
00:43:36.200 Okay.
00:43:37.920 So from John Singus, I hope I pronounced your name right, John.
00:43:44.380 A donation of $2.
00:43:45.580 Thank you so much for that.
00:43:47.400 O-O-G scribbled on your ticket and then blamed you.
00:43:51.220 Nuts.
00:43:52.260 Wow.
00:43:53.600 That's completely off topic, but I'm happy to discuss this.
00:43:57.660 Yeah.
00:43:57.940 I had an incredible thing happen to me.
00:44:01.920 I think it's going back to last year.
00:44:04.980 And it was about the O-L-G, which is the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation.
00:44:10.340 And I was trying to claim a winning lottery ticket.
00:44:14.800 And it wasn't a jackpot of Lotto Max proportions by any means.
00:44:21.500 It was actually about $1,100.
00:44:23.940 And the way the rules are in Ontario, if you're claiming a lottery win of over $1,000, you have
00:44:30.960 to go through the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation.
00:44:34.780 Otherwise, you can get a retailer to pay you up to $999.99.
00:44:40.120 So, I go in there.
00:44:42.280 First of all, I couldn't remember the precise retail location where I bought the ticket.
00:44:49.040 I told them it was the town of Richmond Hill, which turned out to be right.
00:44:52.960 And despite the fact that I think there's over 400 municipalities in Ontario, lo and behold,
00:44:59.340 I did get the right municipality for them.
00:45:01.200 That wasn't good enough for the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation.
00:45:06.600 So, what they did is not only, folks, did they not pay me my $1,100.
00:45:12.480 I had to, sorry, they confiscated the winning ticket as well.
00:45:19.020 Now, this is my property.
00:45:20.520 This is my possession.
00:45:22.020 In law, possession is nine-tenths of the law.
00:45:25.780 And, but according to O-L-G regulations, that is apparently above the law.
00:45:30.440 And what this individual is referring to here about the O-L-G scribbling on my ticket,
00:45:38.760 I actually had to file, I'm not making this up, I had to file a small claims lawsuit to
00:45:45.300 get my money back, money of a winning ticket that I legitimately won.
00:45:50.300 And what came up as evidence is that the ticket was defaced with scribbles.
00:45:56.140 And actually, it was more than just scribbles, it was black magic marker lines that were drawn
00:46:03.100 through all of the ticket.
00:46:04.820 But here's the thing, folks, not a single, you know, micron of ink came from my pen or
00:46:11.980 my marker.
00:46:12.760 It was all the O-L-G's doing.
00:46:15.300 And I could prove that by their own surveillance camera footage, which showed that I gave them
00:46:21.740 a clean ticket that was completely unmarked.
00:46:26.080 I guess, you know, just to wrap this story, the O-L-G, as you may know, going back almost
00:46:31.820 10 years, it was the recipient of the most scathing report ever from a provincial ombudsman
00:46:41.380 in terms of corruption, in terms of fraud, in terms of looking the other way when they
00:46:47.900 came across corruption and fraud.
00:46:50.420 And my experience is this government monopoly, which is only answerable to itself, is still
00:46:57.660 acting in this kind of fashion.
00:47:02.080 Okay, then.
00:47:04.340 All right, then.
00:47:05.400 And so, but thank you for remembering that, because you got my blood boiling again.
00:47:10.420 And, okay, oops.
00:47:16.400 And I'm being told by Mr. Producer that there is a, and Mr. Producer, you are going to have
00:47:21.620 to come back into this studio, because.
00:47:30.120 Okay, then.
00:47:31.180 So the statement is, Tommy Robinson is Australia's champion too.
00:47:37.220 And that's a super chat from Steep6, and Steep6, I want to thank you for your contribution.
00:47:45.600 And yeah, Tommy Robinson, I would argue, should be a champion for every Western democracy.
00:47:51.320 In fact, Tommy Robinson should be a champion for anyone, anywhere in the world, that cares
00:47:57.180 about free speech and freedom of expression and freedom of the press and all the other
00:48:03.700 freedoms that we take for granted, freedoms that are steadily being chipped away at, especially
00:48:11.300 in a country like the UK.
00:48:13.060 And I really hope Ezra is wrong that, you know, Canada is, you know, 10 years away from
00:48:18.860 UK draconianism.
00:48:21.080 But I don't think he is, unless we take a stance.
00:48:25.940 Two more at the bottom, I'm told.
00:48:28.080 And Mr. Producer, the computer is completely frozen, so I'm going to have to depend on you
00:48:35.080 to come in here.
00:48:36.300 Oh boy, I'm getting that stink eye.
00:48:38.540 I swear, folks, the computer is completely frozen in a way I've never seen it before.
00:48:45.480 Well, I'll see if we have any chats on the breastfeeding on the catwalk story of Mara Martin.
00:48:53.640 In the meantime, I found this an interesting story yesterday.
00:48:59.240 The Conservative Party pulled an attack ad depicting a black man illegally crossing the
00:49:06.520 border.
00:49:08.460 I don't know if you came across this story, folks.
00:49:10.860 It was an attack ad and it showed it was it was all about the porous border that we have
00:49:17.740 in Canada today.
00:49:19.320 And evidently, because the the individual crossing the border illegally was black, therefore, that
00:49:29.860 made this racist.
00:49:31.980 And I don't understand why.
00:49:34.880 I mean, were they supposed to use a white person to avoid the charges of racism?
00:49:41.160 And when you look at a lot of the people that are crossing the border, oh, I don't know,
00:49:46.380 Haitians, Nigerians, we're talking about countries that are indeed predominantly black.
00:49:53.800 So, you know, what is the issue?
00:49:56.220 And I'm sorry to report that the Conservatives caved Andrew Scheer.
00:50:04.000 Well, he did it again.
00:50:04.960 He decided that he was going to capitulate rather than make the case and that this was
00:50:12.880 completely fine.
00:50:15.520 And but or is it?
00:50:17.060 I mean, are these the new rules when it comes to diversity is our strength, except when it
00:50:22.500 isn't that if you are ever showing someone committing an illicit or illegal act, you cannot
00:50:29.240 show somebody of color that it has to be, I suppose, a white person.
00:50:34.000 Is this maybe more penance for those of us with this kind of complexion for our supposed
00:50:41.400 white privilege and white supremacy and all that other stuff that the liberal left fires
00:50:47.580 back at us?
00:50:48.940 So, again, I by the way, the what the the tweet showed, what the ad showed was that the black
00:50:57.160 man was carrying a suitcase, walking over a tweet from Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
00:51:04.140 The tweet is rolled out as a carpet entering a broken fence.
00:51:08.120 And the words faith and diversity are visible.
00:51:12.020 You know, to be quite frank, I think that's quite clever.
00:51:14.880 And I don't think the and I don't know, do we have Mr. Producer number two, number three,
00:51:20.980 do we have a image of that tweet that we can put up?
00:51:26.860 Because maybe it's taken down and expunged from history once and for all.
00:51:33.800 But we'll we'll see if we can get that for you.
00:51:36.120 But again, why is it necessarily racist just because the person being shown is black?
00:51:45.060 I don't get that.
00:51:46.400 It's it's again the sewer rat analogy when Mayor John Tory called those two gangbangers shooting
00:51:53.600 at two little girls in the playground sewer rats.
00:51:55.960 And Desmond Cole basically charging John Tory with racism because, you know, you're equating
00:52:03.440 black people to sewer rats.
00:52:05.420 Well, the fact of the matter, the joke was on Desmond Cole.
00:52:09.200 Mayor Tory didn't even know the race of the shooters at the time.
00:52:13.320 But again, sewer rats have feelings from flat, dark earth.
00:52:20.180 I don't know if that's the earth or earth, but we'll go with earth.
00:52:23.280 Ten dollars.
00:52:24.720 Thank you so much for that.
00:52:27.140 Love rebel media.
00:52:28.240 Honest question.
00:52:29.460 Why do you disparage millennials when you are more economically conservative than boomers?
00:52:35.500 Oh, sorry, when they are more economically conservative than boomers.
00:52:38.640 I'd rather have someone enforce gay marriage than a 20 trillion dollar debt.
00:52:45.220 Well, you know what?
00:52:46.160 It would indeed be wrong to judge a group en masse by the actions of a percentage.
00:52:55.380 But it just seems to me.
00:52:57.540 And I mean, like, you know, when we when we look upon stories that emanate from the press,
00:53:03.520 regardless of their political stripes, so much is about millennials are upset about this
00:53:10.540 or millennials are upset about that.
00:53:12.080 I mean, one that comes to mind is, you know, millennials are triggered by friends.
00:53:19.460 Do you remember that story?
00:53:20.340 It was from a UK newspaper.
00:53:22.980 And they thought that some of the themes that were in friends, which to me is one of the
00:53:27.760 most innocuous sitcoms ever.
00:53:32.140 I mean, what's to get upset about?
00:53:34.300 But they said it was there was homophobia, sexism, transphobia.
00:53:39.700 And so there's always these trigger points.
00:53:43.820 And so we call them as we see them.
00:53:46.900 And I have to say, too, that a lot of millennials will weigh in in the comment section and they'll
00:53:53.140 say, I'm a millennial.
00:53:54.680 Oh, God, please don't lump me in with the rest of this brethren.
00:53:58.980 I'm not part of that.
00:54:00.240 So good for you.
00:54:01.280 But for some reason, this particular generation seems more sensitive, more triggered than those
00:54:08.680 before it and those after it.
00:54:10.660 I might be wrong, but this is what I'm interpreting by the stories that are out there.
00:54:16.240 And we have a very generous super chat for $22 or 22 Norwegian kroner.
00:54:23.080 Wow.
00:54:23.760 What do you think that works out to in Canadian dollars?
00:54:26.720 Norwegian kroner from Copa Dezoa.
00:54:30.480 I hope I have pronounced your name right, Copa.
00:54:33.200 I think Copa is right.
00:54:35.160 And the chat is this.
00:54:36.580 Better be careful.
00:54:39.360 McMingy's the MacBook may bite.
00:54:43.180 You know what?
00:54:44.040 I wouldn't be surprised.
00:54:45.980 I think it's the other way around, my friend, Copa.
00:54:49.100 I think I'm about to bite this MacBook.
00:54:51.900 It's frustrating me to no end.
00:54:54.560 I don't know how Ezra can so dutifully multitask the way he does.
00:55:01.020 And he'll be back on Friday, by the way.
00:55:02.800 You only have one more day of me putting up with technical difficulties.
00:55:06.680 So, anyways, I see it is working again.
00:55:10.680 And why don't we check out what's being said from David KTVR.
00:55:18.200 Rempel has a social media presence.
00:55:20.440 Scheer doesn't exist outside of the Parliament lunchroom.
00:55:23.960 You know, I'm a fan of Rempel.
00:55:25.880 Well, I sure hope Scheer picks up his game.
00:55:30.320 And, I mean, the clock is ticking.
00:55:32.520 But this capitulation yesterday over a tweet being condemned as racist
00:55:38.000 when I don't see the racism in it, it's just, it's more spinelessness.
00:55:45.020 Let's call it as we see it, eh, folks?
00:55:47.740 So, let's see what happens in the weeks and months to come.
00:55:51.660 And, let's see, Love Roscoe.
00:55:57.580 Wealthy white neighbourhoods, even if they're black or Hispanic.
00:56:00.580 That's right.
00:56:01.540 Not sure what that means, but if you can fill me in, I'm happy to flesh that out.
00:56:09.300 Let's go on ahead.
00:56:13.400 Okay, David Jeffrey Spetsch, again, writes,
00:56:16.720 a lot of people who you might think oppose the globalists
00:56:19.400 at the same time are promoting globalist lies used to create war and divide.
00:56:24.860 People need to wake up.
00:56:26.420 Well, one step at a time.
00:56:27.660 Let's wake up next year and have regime change in Ottawa.
00:56:30.580 That's for sure.
00:56:32.040 And, from Tammy, again, we have,
00:56:34.460 Bernier should not have been kicked out.
00:56:36.460 Scheer is a big baby.
00:56:38.760 Well, I agree.
00:56:40.240 I think it's tragic what happened with Bernier.
00:56:43.640 And, let's not forget, going back to the leadership convention,
00:56:47.000 what were we talking about?
00:56:49.120 I think it went to the 13th ballot between Bernier and Scheer.
00:56:53.860 And, we were talking about less than a percent in terms of the margin of victory.
00:57:00.640 And, I really wonder, folks, how things would have been different
00:57:04.720 with Bernier and Scheer's position.
00:57:07.600 I think it would have been for the better.
00:57:09.440 You know, I know I've talked about that with Sheila Gunn-Reed.
00:57:13.240 She thinks so, too.
00:57:15.120 But, it's a hypothetical question.
00:57:18.120 And, Scheer will get his chance next year.
00:57:20.380 But, like I said, please, Andrew, pick up your game already.
00:57:24.900 I mean, I think there's been so many faux pas by this government,
00:57:30.400 so many fiascos, that these are lob balls coming over home plate
00:57:35.500 just waiting to be hit out of the ballpark.
00:57:37.480 And, the guy is AWOL.
00:57:41.460 I don't get it.
00:57:43.080 If you want to be prime minister, this is not the approach to take.
00:57:48.560 And, Lupus writes, the plot to flood Europe with 200 million Africans by 2050.
00:57:55.820 Well, you know what?
00:57:56.660 I don't know if that is a plot.
00:57:58.640 But, certainly, in terms of demographics,
00:58:03.280 there are, I guess, millions of migrants in the European continent right now,
00:58:09.520 if you added up all the countries.
00:58:12.040 And, then you just let, I guess, demographics do their stuff in terms of birth rates.
00:58:18.960 And, slowly but surely, you will see the profile of these nations change.
00:58:24.300 And, it's disturbing.
00:58:28.940 And, again, I guess, just for us speaking about that, that's a measure of racism.
00:58:35.420 Let's see.
00:58:36.320 Love Roscoe says,
00:58:37.240 The government supports welfare state caliphate seekers and illegals to collapse nations.
00:58:43.220 It's just that simple.
00:58:45.000 If you don't think they believe their own rhetoric, do you?
00:58:47.780 Ha, ha, ha.
00:58:48.400 They all live in.
00:58:50.620 And, you know what?
00:58:51.600 What it is costing us, right now, the cost, and it's increasing on a daily basis,
00:58:58.160 for Ontario alone, putting up with migrants, is $174 million.
00:59:04.380 And, as we discussed yesterday, a lot of those migrants are in hockey rinks that are out of service.
00:59:10.940 They're in student dormitories that are out of service, at least until the day after Labor Day.
00:59:15.680 And, the question arises, what happens when September comes, and hockey players want to play hockey,
00:59:24.000 and students want to reside on campus?
00:59:26.280 This is a real mess, folks.
00:59:28.740 And, from Observer Dude, five pounds.
00:59:31.140 Thank you so much, Observer Dude, for your generosity.
00:59:34.040 A few months ago, I nearly got kicked out of a pub just for mentioning Tommy Robinson.
00:59:39.600 The owner threatened to kick me out.
00:59:42.060 They got triggered so easily.
00:59:44.040 You know, again, this is really a despicable new trend.
00:59:50.600 We talked about this yesterday with people with MAGA hats, for example,
00:59:56.520 or talking conservative politics, getting into Uber rides,
01:00:00.600 and the driver just saying, get out of the car.
01:00:03.540 And, now here you, Observer Dude, getting out of a pub just for, you know,
01:00:08.540 and I'm assuming you were just talking about having support for Tommy Robinson.
01:00:13.380 You weren't, you know, creating a commotion or a disturbance.
01:00:17.140 I think that is despicable that you'd be kicked out of a pub for doing that.
01:00:22.420 And, you know, if you can, we're almost out of time.
01:00:24.740 I see we're, you know, right at the finish line, folks.
01:00:27.960 But, Observer Dude, if you can communicate tomorrow about the details of what led to you being kicked out,
01:00:38.140 and what the other pub patrons were saying when this happened, I would love to read that.
01:00:44.340 I would love to know more about your story.
01:00:46.320 Well, folks, that is it for Wednesday, July 18th, 2018.
01:00:50.760 Thank you so much for tuning into Battleground.
01:00:53.240 I'll be here tomorrow.
01:00:54.560 Ezra's back on Friday.
01:00:55.820 And never forget, without risk, there could be no glory.
01:00:58.940 Good afternoon.
