Rebel News Podcast - Chinese Embassy threatens China Virus book launch： Will the show go on？

00:00:00.000 Hello, my Rebels. Today, I'm in Northern Alberta with Sheila Gunn-Reed and Kian Bextie.

00:00:03.640 We're here because we're having a book launch for China Virus.

00:00:06.520 What makes that more interesting than normal is that the Chinese consulate

00:00:10.080 has whipped up an attempt to deplatform us, to have the restaurant cancel us.

00:00:15.460 They even offered to bribe them. I'll tell you about that more.

00:00:17.740 But first, let me invite you to become a subscriber to Rebel News Plus.

00:00:20.480 It's only eight bucks a month. That's less than Netflix, people.

00:00:23.840 Just go to rebelnews.com, sign up there.

00:00:25.760 And in addition to my show, you get a show from Sheila Gunn-Reed and David Menzies every week.

00:00:31.200 All right, here's today's podcast.

00:00:45.280 Tonight, I'm here in Edmonton for our book launch.

00:00:50.140 But will the event be canceled by the Chinese embassy?

00:00:52.820 It's July 21st, and this is the Ezra LeVant Show.

00:00:58.260 Why should others go to jail when you're a biggest carbon consumer I know?

00:01:01.700 There's 8,500 customers here, and you won't give them an answer.

00:01:05.780 The only thing I have to say to the government, the wire publisher, is because it's my bloody right to do so.

00:01:11.620 I am standing in front of Buffet Royale in Sherwood Park, a community just across the highway from Edmonton proper.

00:01:23.160 Tonight, it's just about three hours from now, we're going to have 144 people who have registered in a sold-out event

00:01:31.940 for our first book launch of my own book, China Virus, how Justin Trudeau's pro-communist ideology is putting Canadians in danger.

00:01:39.920 This restaurant can actually hold more than double that number of people,

00:01:43.120 but social distancing rules for the reopening of restaurants in Alberta limits it to half capacity.

00:01:49.360 We already had a tour of the building, and it's a great buffet, so they have so many rules for how to be safe and food handling in a buffet.

00:02:00.560 They're really conscientious, but you know what?

00:02:03.520 We had a bite of lunch here in advance of tonight's event.

00:02:07.100 The number one feeling I had just being in a restaurant was normal.

00:02:12.000 Of course, because I come from Toronto, a city that is one of the most neurotic in the country,

00:02:16.980 they don't have open restaurants like this in Toronto.

00:02:20.080 Everyone's walking around terrified of themselves and each other.

00:02:23.380 Just to have an event tonight where we're with other Canadians just out being social creatures, which humans are.

00:02:31.960 I'm looking forward to that as much as anything to do with my book.

00:02:35.160 Now, I'm delighted that we are having a book launch because, as you know, Amazon banned my book for two months.

00:02:42.820 Then they unbanned it for a week.

00:02:44.960 It rocketed up the bestseller charts, and then they banned it again.

00:02:49.300 And then they unbanned it again.

00:02:50.920 So, for all I know, as you're seeing this, the book has been banned a third time.

00:02:55.200 We're not quite sure.

00:02:56.900 Our lawyers have written to Amazon on three occasions,

00:02:59.580 and not once have they even replied explaining themselves,

00:03:03.360 let alone apologizing or correcting for their glitch.

00:03:07.980 Anyways, we luckily purchased enough books in advance of the lockdown of Amazon

00:03:12.980 to have books for everybody here tonight.

00:03:15.620 Now, I'm coming to you in the mid-afternoon, and you'll be watching this at 8 p.m. Eastern Time,

00:03:19.520 which is in the middle of our to-do.

00:03:21.940 So, I have to say, as I'm recording this,

00:03:25.420 I don't know for sure that this event is going to happen.

00:03:29.580 Now, I had a great talk with the proprietors.

00:03:31.860 It's a mom-and-pop operation, one of four locations of Buffet Royale.

00:03:36.020 Very excited to have customers, paying customers to have some life,

00:03:40.020 come back to their business and their restaurant.

00:03:42.220 I talked to them, and they say that starting a few days ago,

00:03:45.680 they have had waves and waves of people calling the restaurant,

00:03:51.180 pleading, demanding, threatening, and even trying to bribe them to cancel tonight's event.

00:03:58.560 The strangest call was someone offering $3,000 to the restaurant if they simply rip up their contract with us.

00:04:07.120 But some of the other messages they had were much more ominous, 0.72

00:04:11.300 even if they were delivered in a ridiculous manner.

00:04:14.440 Here, take a look at a live stream I did yesterday from Calgary when I was given, 0.70

00:04:19.320 I was forwarded a copy of one of the crazier emails they received.

00:04:23.600 Take a look.

00:04:24.100 Let me read this letter.

00:04:26.580 I'm going to read this letter, and if you want to help, I think I'm going to need it.

00:04:30.160 Let me read this to you.

00:04:31.280 This could be a bluff, but this was a letter received by the restaurant in Sherwood Park.

00:04:36.580 Dear CEO, which is sort of weird, because I don't think most restaurants have a CEO.

00:04:43.040 I am writing to your executive team and let your management know,

00:04:47.540 I'm just reading it how it's written, I'm not correcting the grammar,

00:04:50.180 what might happen for scheduled event at your place on July 21, 2020 for book launch event,

00:04:57.240 especially during serious pandemic reopening uncertainty, protect Albertans, your business as well.

00:05:01.920 On other hand, this activity the author hosted at your place has been reported to RCMP and local police office

00:05:09.460 and Alberta Health Services for investigations.

00:05:12.640 So many legal and financial issues the author met unavoidably by court's order.

00:05:17.540 I don't know exactly what that means, but it sounds like this author,

00:05:21.640 whose name is Dr. Lian Zhao, has called the RCMP and the police, or at least is pretending to.

00:05:31.640 I don't know.

00:05:32.920 I let you know what the following very risky reasons.

00:05:37.380 One, can you business afford to potential lawsuit by PM office against the author?

00:05:43.040 I think that means Justin Trudeau might sue me.

00:05:45.900 I don't think that's going to happen, but it might.

00:05:48.000 One, I noticed that there are numerous misleading data and survey results

00:05:52.460 and disputable arguments cited public media and misunderstood context in Canada and China.

00:05:57.800 I'm not correcting the grammar here. Why would I do that?

00:06:00.280 I'm just telling you what the restaurant received.

00:06:02.700 And there's a picture of the billboard that we have up on Highway 2 in Alberta,

00:06:08.560 the largest highway in the province.

00:06:10.080 Let me move on to page two of this letter.

00:06:11.960 It's a three-page letter.

00:06:13.540 Point two, can you afford to get involved in crime and investigations?

00:06:18.000 regarding systemic racial discrimination down the road by RCMP

00:06:22.400 because his book misleading readers by, say, Chinese Cold War.

00:06:25.720 Chinese coronavirus, as shown in several pages in the book.

00:06:29.020 I have compared China's approach to Canada to the Cold War.

00:06:34.720 I think it's a reasonable comparison.

00:06:37.040 I also compare it to apartheid. 0.57

00:06:39.480 And in some ways, I compare it to Nazi Germany, but I don't go overboard there

00:06:43.400 because, of course, Mao Zedong killed up to 85 million of his own countrymen.

00:06:50.600 And China right now has ethnic cleansing of Tibetans, Uyghurs, Christians, etc.

00:06:54.880 So there are some comparisons with Nazi Germany.

00:06:57.880 There are some comparisons with the Soviet Union during the Cold War.

00:07:01.220 I think an apt comparison is South African apartheid. 0.82

00:07:07.200 So in that regard, this letter writer is correct.

00:07:10.780 I'll continue reading the letter that the restaurant received. 0.93

00:07:14.660 And other factual statements in the book, such as Chinese Cold War and Pro-China Fools. 0.94

00:07:18.400 All right, I stand by those.

00:07:20.180 Four, Alberta Health Services watchdog will go to your place

00:07:23.340 and investigate any chances to cause herd infection during the massive meeting.

00:07:28.800 It is not worthwhile for your business to support an author

00:07:31.680 who's putting Canadian in danger

00:07:34.560 and taking unappreciated risk at special period of human beings over the world.

00:07:39.620 It is time to fight against COVID-19.

00:07:41.420 It is truly not a time to punish PM.

00:07:44.200 Don't punish PM.

00:07:45.200 Don't punish little poodle Justin Trudeau.

00:07:48.360 The author is doing hate crimes against Canadian.

00:07:51.000 I am doing hate crimes against Canadians. 1.00

00:07:53.940 Um, that's so delicious.

00:07:57.340 I don't even want to dispute that.

00:07:58.940 It's, I, I'm doing hate crimes against Canadians. 1.00

00:08:02.360 I'm not sure if the person who wrote this letter is Canadian,

00:08:05.400 but they care about Canadians a lot.

00:08:08.140 Five, there's a lot of points in this letter to this restaurant,

00:08:12.100 the CEO of the restaurant.

00:08:13.400 I think maybe that means like chef.

00:08:15.960 Maybe they think the chef is like the chief or something.

00:08:19.160 Five, publishing book is hurting Canadian society.

00:08:22.660 CEPRO Foundations Inc.

00:08:24.000 as a Canadian registered not-for-profit organization,

00:08:26.340 have committed to stand up the crime hates against Canadian.

00:08:30.520 Someone's got to stop Ezra Levant from hating Canadians.

00:08:32.940 And maybe this is the person who's going to do it.

00:08:37.140 Could be.

00:08:38.660 Let me conclude.

00:08:40.720 Anyway, I am reminding your management team for unprecedented risks

00:08:44.360 you are facing by providing access to Ezra's book launch.

00:08:47.720 Hey, that's Mr. Ezra to you.

00:08:49.360 We do understand that you are running conscientious business

00:08:52.980 and you should avoid any hurts and damages for the public

00:08:56.320 and your local communities.

00:08:58.640 Okay, there is just a little bit on the fourth page here.

00:09:00.880 So I'm just reading the letter.

00:09:03.240 Meanwhile, you have obligation as a Canadian business

00:09:06.320 to stop any racial discrimination situation

00:09:08.940 since you have been noticed,

00:09:10.780 or any crime investigation will be underway

00:09:12.720 from various parties I mentioned here.

00:09:14.320 I wish that you can stop any risky business

00:09:17.800 and serve your community better.

00:09:19.440 Sincerely, Dr. Lian Zhao,

00:09:21.680 President, CEPRO Foundations Inc.

00:09:24.820 P.S.

00:09:26.000 There's a P.S. here.

00:09:27.900 I always read the P.S.

00:09:29.560 P.S.

00:09:30.800 So many protesters will be at sense

00:09:33.600 at that time

00:09:35.200 if the event still exists.

00:09:37.660 It will be your business' very bad reputation.

00:09:39.840 Wow.

00:09:43.300 So that was signed

00:09:45.180 by Dr. Lian Zhao,

00:09:49.220 President of CEPRO,

00:09:51.700 which here she says is a non-profit

00:09:55.200 and very fancy.

00:09:57.860 It's written on their stationery

00:09:59.340 and they could have run it through Grammarly or something,

00:10:03.080 but I think the message is clear.

00:10:04.560 Don't let that anti-Canadian hate crime guy,

00:10:10.820 Ezra Levant,

00:10:11.940 continue his anti-Canadian hate crimings

00:10:14.620 or the PM will sue him for hate crimings

00:10:18.260 against Canadians, etc.

00:10:20.840 So I had a good chuckle at that email,

00:10:23.800 partly because it was written

00:10:24.940 in that clunky Chinese Communist Party style.

00:10:28.580 I don't even know

00:10:29.440 if that letter was written in Canada

00:10:31.100 or written in Beijing

00:10:32.380 by some Communist Party propagandists

00:10:34.460 when it talked about

00:10:35.140 the police shutting us down for crimes.

00:10:38.620 I knew they weren't serious,

00:10:40.280 but I'm not 100% sure.

00:10:42.800 Like I say,

00:10:43.380 they threatened to have a massive protest.

00:10:45.580 I don't see anyone here,

00:10:46.720 but the night is still young.

00:10:48.520 They threatened to have

00:10:49.520 all sorts of legal action.

00:10:51.240 I don't buy it.

00:10:52.160 We're in Canada, not Beijing.

00:10:53.500 But then again,

00:10:54.120 you might recall earlier this year,

00:10:56.080 Justin Trudeau actually did

00:10:57.640 sick two former RCMP officers against me

00:11:00.700 for a book.

00:11:01.920 I did that happened to have 0.93

00:11:03.260 his ugly mug on the cover.

00:11:05.340 Same thing with this one. 0.94

00:11:06.180 Look at that cover.

00:11:07.740 That's Justin Trudeau

00:11:08.760 with his vacation beard.

00:11:10.260 He's still just phoning it in.

00:11:11.920 Trudeau hates this book.

00:11:13.860 We know that.

00:11:15.100 So, you know,

00:11:15.760 maybe that communist propaganda threat,

00:11:17.720 maybe it's real after all.

00:11:19.500 I want to say one thing

00:11:21.000 about the restaurant.

00:11:21.900 It's called Buffet Royale.

00:11:23.300 I've actually never eaten here before

00:11:24.740 because I lived in Edmonton

00:11:28.420 for four years,

00:11:28.960 but I never came here.

00:11:29.940 I lived in Calgary.

00:11:30.740 I live in Toronto now.

00:11:32.260 But not only is it delicious food,

00:11:34.680 I had lunch here,

00:11:35.840 but I think anyone

00:11:36.940 in the Edmonton area,

00:11:39.820 if you believe in freedom

00:11:41.160 and fighting against cancel culture,

00:11:42.840 may I respectfully suggest

00:11:44.600 that you give Buffet Royale a chance.

00:11:48.880 You know, speaking food-wise,

00:11:49.940 it's great,

00:11:51.000 but here we have

00:11:52.400 a principled family business

00:11:54.980 that was threatened,

00:11:56.540 cajoled,

00:11:57.340 bribed,

00:11:57.980 harassed,

00:11:58.640 and they stood firm.

00:12:01.040 And for that alone,

00:12:02.700 may I respectfully suggest

00:12:05.260 that we ought to support them.

00:12:07.200 By the way,

00:12:07.560 I don't know their politics.

00:12:08.660 I did not ask them.

00:12:10.160 In fact,

00:12:10.440 when I talked to them,

00:12:11.060 I said,

00:12:11.380 you feed everyone,

00:12:12.040 liberal, conservative,

00:12:13.440 even a new Democrat,

00:12:14.880 I'm sure,

00:12:15.480 would be fed

00:12:16.240 if they came here.

00:12:17.980 I'm joking around.

00:12:19.040 A restaurant gives food

00:12:20.380 to human beings.

00:12:21.820 They don't have a political test

00:12:23.620 before you're served.

00:12:24.460 In fact,

00:12:24.800 I think that might even be illegal

00:12:25.920 under some human rights law.

00:12:27.800 So whether you're a conservative,

00:12:29.540 liberal,

00:12:29.840 New Democrat,

00:12:30.400 whatever,

00:12:30.980 here are people standing for

00:12:32.940 freedom to eat,

00:12:35.440 freedom to snack,

00:12:36.640 freedom to have a book event

00:12:37.720 in Canada.

00:12:38.940 As we discussed

00:12:39.900 with the owners

00:12:40.860 earlier this afternoon,

00:12:42.180 if someone has another book

00:12:43.320 with another point of view,

00:12:44.280 let them come

00:12:44.980 and have their book launch here.

00:12:47.420 So it's going to be

00:12:48.300 an interesting night,

00:12:49.280 I hope.

00:12:50.560 I'd still say

00:12:51.680 there's a chance

00:12:52.960 that someone tries

00:12:54.840 to shut it down.

00:12:56.040 Whether it's bust in

00:12:57.320 Antifa thugs,

00:12:58.420 we've seen that before.

00:12:59.980 Whether,

00:13:00.420 who knows,

00:13:00.800 maybe the Chinese Communist Party

00:13:01.980 really does bust people up here.

00:13:04.140 I don't think that

00:13:05.300 any Canadian authorities

00:13:06.300 would take those steps,

00:13:07.360 but like I say,

00:13:08.100 I was shocked when Trudeau

00:13:09.380 came after my last book.

00:13:10.840 So I'll give you

00:13:12.080 an update tomorrow.

00:13:13.800 The reason it'll have

00:13:14.340 to be tomorrow

00:13:14.780 is because by the time

00:13:15.660 we're done here,

00:13:16.300 it'll be very late

00:13:17.260 out east.

00:13:17.800 Let me take a short break

00:13:19.600 and introduce a couple

00:13:21.040 of the rebel friends

00:13:22.140 who are here with me

00:13:23.120 because besides having

00:13:24.680 a great meal

00:13:25.480 and everyone getting

00:13:26.680 a book and a book signing,

00:13:28.160 we've got sort of,

00:13:29.660 you know,

00:13:30.200 when the Avengers

00:13:31.080 or the Justice League

00:13:32.620 all comes together.

00:13:33.820 So come right back

00:13:34.620 because my friends

00:13:35.540 Sheila Gunn-Reed

00:13:36.320 and Kian Bexte

00:13:37.160 are up here.

00:13:38.380 Don't miss that.

00:13:39.300 Here we go.

00:13:39.640 Here we go.

00:13:39.720 Here we go.

00:13:43.640 Here we go.

00:13:44.640 Here we go.

00:13:45.640 Here we go.

00:13:47.640 Well, ticket sales

00:13:52.820 were moving along

00:13:53.860 until I told people

00:13:55.180 that I would be joined

00:13:56.640 up here in Sherwood Park

00:13:57.700 by Kian Bexte,

00:13:59.940 our bright young reporter

00:14:01.000 from Calgary

00:14:01.580 and my favoritest

00:14:03.480 of the reporters.

00:14:04.040 I have no favorites.

00:14:04.760 I love them all.

00:14:05.720 But our chief reporter,

00:14:06.640 Sheila Gunn-Reed,

00:14:07.360 is here.

00:14:08.000 And when I let that news

00:14:09.260 be known, boom,

00:14:10.180 we sold out.

00:14:11.400 Sheila, how are you doing?

00:14:12.520 Hey, I'm great.

00:14:13.300 I'm very glad to be here

00:14:14.740 for the event tonight.

00:14:16.640 Hopefully it goes off

00:14:17.460 without a hitch.

00:14:18.760 Our restaurant

00:14:20.000 had some threats.

00:14:22.620 Threats to call

00:14:23.480 the police,

00:14:24.640 to call the health inspector

00:14:26.200 to have the event shut down.

00:14:28.000 They were,

00:14:28.660 as you pointed out,

00:14:29.900 attempted bribe.

00:14:33.140 You know,

00:14:33.540 it sure seems like intimidation

00:14:35.060 and it sure looks organized

00:14:36.860 based on where the numbers

00:14:38.240 were coming from

00:14:39.060 and how the people sounded.

00:14:40.720 All the numbers

00:14:41.380 were coming from

00:14:41.980 a Calgary area code.

00:14:43.940 The restaurant owner

00:14:44.540 told us many of them

00:14:45.680 had Asian accents.

00:14:46.640 It seems like

00:14:47.760 it's a coordinated effort

00:14:48.920 from the consulate

00:14:50.360 or some of Beijing's fingers

00:14:52.360 that are in China

00:14:54.240 or are here in Canada.

00:14:56.160 Yeah, of course,

00:14:56.800 people with a Chinese accent

00:14:58.280 are,

00:15:00.100 they may be

00:15:02.020 Chinese Canadians.

00:15:02.980 They may be

00:15:04.020 Chinese agents

00:15:05.240 of Beijing.

00:15:06.140 I count myself

00:15:07.840 very fortunate

00:15:08.480 to have a great number

00:15:09.600 of Chinese democracy activists

00:15:11.620 as my buddies.

00:15:13.660 And in fact,

00:15:14.900 I can understand

00:15:15.800 someone saying,

00:15:16.300 oh, China virus,

00:15:17.100 that book is very critical,

00:15:18.520 but it's critical

00:15:19.220 of the Chinese Communist Party.

00:15:21.340 You know,

00:15:21.660 when Justin Trudeau

00:15:22.620 was asked,

00:15:23.860 what country

00:15:24.240 do you most admire?

00:15:25.340 He said,

00:15:26.260 China,

00:15:27.300 okay,

00:15:28.460 but then he said,

00:15:29.380 for its basic dictatorship.

00:15:31.060 I would say

00:15:32.720 I find China fascinating,

00:15:34.600 interesting,

00:15:35.380 and I would even use

00:15:36.500 the word admirable

00:15:38.580 and in some ways

00:15:42.500 lovable.

00:15:43.540 It's very different

00:15:44.260 than our culture.

00:15:44.980 If you're talking

00:15:45.780 about the Chinese people,

00:15:47.140 Chinese culture,

00:15:48.100 history,

00:15:48.680 architecture,

00:15:49.260 art,

00:15:49.700 language,

00:15:50.220 food,

00:15:50.960 obviously,

00:15:52.020 geography,

00:15:52.940 there's so many things

00:15:54.260 to love about China

00:15:55.600 or to admire,

00:15:57.340 to like.

00:15:58.760 The people

00:15:59.560 are different

00:16:01.220 from the Communist

00:16:01.940 dictatorship.

00:16:03.260 And I think my book

00:16:04.160 tries to make that clear.

00:16:06.380 I think,

00:16:07.360 and here's the thing,

00:16:07.980 I was talking to the proprietor

00:16:09.160 of the event today.

00:16:10.620 He said he fielded

00:16:11.600 about six or seven

00:16:12.360 phone calls yesterday.

00:16:13.800 He said not a single

00:16:15.220 one of them

00:16:15.820 had actually read the book.

00:16:17.620 So they were just

00:16:18.560 criticizing it

00:16:19.440 either based on its title

00:16:20.820 or more likely

00:16:21.960 it was part of

00:16:22.460 an organized campaign.

00:16:23.480 If it was all coming

00:16:24.240 out of Calgary,

00:16:24.860 I think it was

00:16:25.200 an organized campaign.

00:16:26.200 But you know what?

00:16:27.360 It's not just

00:16:28.060 a hypothetical situation

00:16:30.060 that we could be

00:16:30.700 canceled in three hours.

00:16:33.100 We had our last

00:16:34.160 Edmonton book launch

00:16:35.200 canceled.

00:16:36.220 We had a paid contract

00:16:37.340 in full with the

00:16:38.100 Princess Theater

00:16:38.680 and he,

00:16:40.140 that guy was bullied

00:16:41.000 out of it.

00:16:41.800 They're trying to do

00:16:42.340 the same tonight.

00:16:43.260 Yeah,

00:16:43.420 they are.

00:16:44.300 Luckily,

00:16:44.920 the restaurateur

00:16:45.420 is standing firm.

00:16:46.720 They say they don't care

00:16:48.060 what anybody's

00:16:48.780 political beliefs are.

00:16:50.040 They just want to

00:16:51.100 serve you good food.

00:16:52.560 And for the people

00:16:53.240 who are trying to

00:16:54.000 bully this restaurant owner,

00:16:55.480 they don't really know

00:16:56.640 what a booking

00:16:57.640 this size

00:16:58.440 might mean

00:16:59.400 for this family.

00:17:00.780 Because it is

00:17:01.260 a family-run operation,

00:17:02.280 they have four restaurants,

00:17:03.940 but their kids

00:17:04.740 are here helping today,

00:17:05.820 helping organize.

00:17:06.780 Everybody's involved.

00:17:08.040 They are still

00:17:08.700 a small business.

00:17:10.080 And the people

00:17:11.600 who are trying

00:17:12.040 to cancel this event,

00:17:12.980 they don't know

00:17:13.700 if this is a life

00:17:14.880 or death booking

00:17:15.500 for them, 0.99

00:17:15.940 if it's the difference

00:17:16.800 between hanging

00:17:17.400 onto staff

00:17:18.080 or laying off staff

00:17:19.080 or keeping their doors open.

00:17:20.380 And they don't care.

00:17:21.640 And I think

00:17:21.920 that's the point.

00:17:23.060 Yeah, go ahead.

00:17:24.200 They're either on the CERB

00:17:25.720 getting the dole

00:17:26.460 from Justin Trudeau

00:17:27.160 or they're getting

00:17:27.660 paid by Beijing

00:17:28.300 so they really don't care.

00:17:29.260 They don't understand

00:17:29.860 the financial situation

00:17:31.140 that most Albertans are in.

00:17:32.580 And we were talking

00:17:33.960 about this earlier

00:17:34.460 before we were filming,

00:17:35.280 but the people

00:17:35.720 that are here

00:17:36.140 in Sherwood Park,

00:17:37.560 these Albertans,

00:17:38.600 are the same kind

00:17:39.160 of Albertans

00:17:39.640 that were in Innisfail

00:17:40.860 just a few weeks ago

00:17:42.900 when I was there

00:17:43.400 at that protest

00:17:43.920 when Antifa came

00:17:44.720 and invaded that town.

00:17:45.820 It's very similar

00:17:46.540 what's going on here

00:17:47.460 because here we have

00:17:49.700 agents, I think,

00:17:51.160 I'm convinced.

00:17:51.980 It's agents

00:17:52.520 of the Chinese consulate

00:17:53.960 in Calgary

00:17:54.380 calling here,

00:17:55.020 harassing here,

00:17:55.860 bribing these people

00:17:56.600 to cancel this event.

00:17:57.740 Just like in Innisfail,

00:17:59.400 we had yuppies,

00:18:01.440 these leftist radicals

00:18:03.240 coming in

00:18:03.880 to harass these people

00:18:06.480 of small town Innisfail

00:18:07.420 to tell them

00:18:07.900 that they were racist,

00:18:08.760 that they needed

00:18:09.160 to change their ways

00:18:10.080 and that because 0.75

00:18:10.920 they were white, 0.98

00:18:11.640 they were part of the problem. 0.94

00:18:12.620 And it's the same situation,

00:18:13.800 just different current

00:18:15.540 political problems.

00:18:16.720 Here, you know

00:18:17.200 that video you're referring to,

00:18:18.800 Innisfail is a great town,

00:18:19.880 8,000 folks.

00:18:20.540 We've had wonderful events

00:18:21.720 there before.

00:18:22.300 It really is probably

00:18:24.040 one of the most

00:18:24.600 pro-rebel places

00:18:25.480 in the country.

00:18:26.900 The number of rebel subscribers

00:18:28.260 there in a town

00:18:28.860 of 8,000 is unbelievable.

00:18:31.820 It is not a town

00:18:32.940 where Antifa

00:18:33.900 or radicals

00:18:34.780 naturally occur,

00:18:35.620 so they had to bust them

00:18:36.600 all in from Calgary.

00:18:38.200 And I think it was

00:18:38.760 that invasion

00:18:39.620 by people who didn't

00:18:40.480 know anything about them,

00:18:41.900 didn't want to know

00:18:42.800 anything about them,

00:18:43.500 but were there

00:18:43.900 to crook their finger

00:18:44.780 at them.

00:18:45.580 All paid professional

00:18:47.000 protesters.

00:18:48.080 There was something

00:18:48.540 about that video

00:18:49.140 that obviously clicked

00:18:50.100 with viewers

00:18:50.480 not only here in Canada,

00:18:51.520 but that video

00:18:52.040 actually did well

00:18:52.720 around the world

00:18:53.260 because it went

00:18:54.000 to that common theme

00:18:54.860 of Antifa

00:18:55.600 or fake bullies.

00:18:57.180 That video is on track

00:18:58.520 to be a million view video,

00:19:00.960 our number one video

00:19:01.720 of 2020

00:19:02.440 in terms of views.

00:19:03.420 I just want to show

00:19:04.080 viewers a couple minutes

00:19:05.420 of that in case you missed it.

00:19:06.560 I don't think you missed it

00:19:07.480 because it's done so well,

00:19:08.560 but just a refresher.

00:19:09.820 Here's when Antifa

00:19:11.100 tried to roll

00:19:12.500 the town of Innisfail, Alberta.

00:19:14.160 Take a look.

00:19:14.480 Are you here

00:19:15.200 to support the rally?

00:19:16.080 Yes.

00:19:16.620 Okay.

00:19:16.960 Would you be able

00:19:17.480 to give me any examples

00:19:18.320 of... 1.00

00:19:19.120 You racist piece of shit. 1.00

00:19:21.500 Get the fuck out of here. 1.00

00:19:22.900 Are you... 1.00

00:19:23.820 I'm not a Nazi.

00:19:28.220 Do you have an example

00:19:31.860 of racism

00:19:32.860 or police brutality

00:19:33.560 here in Innisfail?

00:19:34.700 I don't know.

00:19:36.560 I don't know

00:19:37.360 if anything's happened

00:19:38.040 in Innisfail,

00:19:38.580 but I do know

00:19:39.080 there were threats

00:19:39.580 against a small,

00:19:40.820 little group.

00:19:41.320 Did you forget

00:19:41.620 to say you said

00:19:42.120 rebel news

00:19:42.620 or are you okay with that?

00:19:43.420 I really don't care.

00:19:44.960 It's just you

00:19:45.700 that has a stick 1.00

00:19:46.660 over their butt. 1.00

00:19:47.300 What is black excellence? 1.00

00:19:48.580 Black excellence

00:19:49.160 actually is...

00:19:50.140 We are...

00:19:51.420 We're some of our students.

00:19:53.040 We actually have this

00:19:54.200 show is that

00:19:55.120 black people excellences. 0.95

00:19:57.540 What would you... 0.97

00:19:58.400 How would you respond

00:19:58.960 to a shirt that said

00:19:59.660 white excellence?

00:20:01.120 White people... 0.98

00:20:01.780 Yeah, the white people 0.90

00:20:02.480 always promote excellence.

00:20:03.580 They don't need to be promoted,

00:20:04.540 but we promote black excellences.

00:20:06.940 Hi there.

00:20:07.600 Are you from Innisfail?

00:20:08.960 Huh?

00:20:09.460 Are you from Innisfail?

00:20:10.580 This is Rebel Beattie.

00:20:11.840 I wouldn't talk to him

00:20:12.740 to follow you.

00:20:14.000 It's okay.

00:20:14.560 Don't worry about her.

00:20:15.240 Are you from Innisfail?

00:20:17.640 I'm from Canada.

00:20:18.800 It doesn't matter.

00:20:20.260 But not from Innisfail.

00:20:21.600 The reason I want...

00:20:22.500 No, the reason I ask

00:20:24.540 is I just want to know

00:20:25.140 if you have any example

00:20:26.080 of systemic racism

00:20:27.020 in this town.

00:20:27.820 Why did you choose

00:20:28.480 this town specifically?

00:20:30.500 I don't want to answer that.

00:20:31.660 Thank you.

00:20:31.980 Well, you know what's interesting,

00:20:34.500 Kian,

00:20:34.700 is all those antagonists

00:20:37.000 had to be bussed in.

00:20:38.840 And that was detected

00:20:40.320 because they were organizing

00:20:41.500 on Facebook

00:20:42.220 and a little bit on Twitter,

00:20:43.680 and that's where

00:20:44.240 Canadians organized.

00:20:45.120 But people who would be

00:20:46.680 following Beijing

00:20:47.920 or the consulate's instruction,

00:20:49.920 they're probably not active

00:20:50.760 on Facebook or Twitter.

00:20:52.120 They're probably on the Chinese 1.00

00:20:53.560 Communist Party-controlled

00:20:55.840 and regulated apps,

00:20:57.340 a very famous one.

00:20:58.840 It's called WeChat.

00:21:00.180 So you and I

00:21:00.940 wouldn't even really know

00:21:02.280 if there was a bus

00:21:04.020 of 100 people

00:21:04.800 coming to this buffet tonight.

00:21:06.080 We wouldn't know

00:21:06.760 because we're not on WeChat,

00:21:07.780 at least I'm not.

00:21:08.720 So although I think

00:21:10.180 we're going to be okay tonight,

00:21:11.740 for all I know,

00:21:12.640 there's a bus of,

00:21:13.920 you know,

00:21:14.480 50 Communist Party agitators

00:21:16.940 on their way

00:21:17.840 to Sherwood Park right now.

00:21:19.940 WeChat is a good point 1.00

00:21:21.320 that you make.

00:21:21.700 It's a really interesting app

00:21:22.640 because the...

00:21:24.100 And I'm sure it's a project

00:21:25.460 of the Communist Party

00:21:26.500 because not only does it

00:21:27.860 track everything

00:21:28.720 that the people are saying

00:21:29.960 in Hong Kong

00:21:30.680 and in mainland China,

00:21:32.120 but it also tracks

00:21:33.040 the commerce.

00:21:33.960 They use it to pay people.

00:21:35.300 You know,

00:21:35.420 they use it to go

00:21:36.160 to small businesses

00:21:36.780 and buy an ice cream cone.

00:21:38.180 So the Chinese, 0.97

00:21:39.480 maybe it's worthwhile

00:21:41.140 getting our feelers out on it

00:21:42.320 so that we're aware

00:21:42.960 of what's going on.

00:21:43.500 We need a translator,

00:21:44.700 though, I suppose.

00:21:45.360 Well, it's such a powerful app

00:21:46.460 because it adds

00:21:47.360 everything you write,

00:21:48.520 say, hear, watch

00:21:49.700 to everything you buy

00:21:51.140 and add your GPS location

00:21:52.960 on top of that.

00:21:53.840 It's a total

00:21:54.500 human surveillance system.

00:21:55.800 Speaking of human surveillance,

00:21:57.320 Sheila, I was reminded

00:21:58.160 of when you went out

00:21:59.580 to Vancouver

00:22:00.160 for the trial

00:22:00.880 of Meng Wanzhou,

00:22:02.360 the CFO and daughter

00:22:03.460 of the founder of Huawei,

00:22:04.960 the Chinese tech giant

00:22:06.300 that wants to build

00:22:07.200 our 5G networks,

00:22:08.200 which I find a terrible

00:22:09.500 and terrifying scenario.

00:22:11.820 Now, you saw

00:22:13.700 a Chinese ethnic minority

00:22:16.040 called the Uyghurs.

00:22:17.700 Why don't you set that up

00:22:18.540 and then we'll play

00:22:19.060 a quick clip of that

00:22:20.220 from when you went

00:22:21.120 to Vancouver.

00:22:22.120 Sure.

00:22:22.340 I was there the day

00:22:23.340 of the decision

00:22:24.440 for Meng Wanzhou's

00:22:25.700 extradition to the United States

00:22:28.280 for bank fraud.

00:22:29.680 And while I was there,

00:22:31.200 on the steps

00:22:31.980 of the courthouse,

00:22:33.400 there were Huawei executives.

00:22:37.040 And we know that Huawei

00:22:38.040 acts as the high-tech surveillance arm

00:22:39.660 of the Chinese state.

00:22:40.900 That's indisputable.

00:22:42.620 And we also know

00:22:43.840 that consulate officials

00:22:45.240 were there.

00:22:45.720 And Uyghurs were on the steps 1.00

00:22:47.820 of the courthouse,

00:22:49.900 some of them

00:22:50.460 without their face covered.

00:22:52.040 And they were protesting

00:22:53.180 for the two Michaels

00:22:54.580 that are held

00:22:55.420 in a dark, dank, 1.00

00:22:57.580 miserable Chinese prison. 0.99

00:22:59.040 Two Canadian hostages.

00:23:00.140 The two Canadian hostages.

00:23:01.340 They were taken hostage

00:23:02.080 in retaliation

00:23:02.920 to the arrest

00:23:03.480 of Meng Wanzhou.

00:23:04.760 And the Uyghurs 1.00

00:23:06.860 were there

00:23:07.420 knowing that

00:23:09.180 if the Chinese officials

00:23:11.800 figured out

00:23:12.560 who they were,

00:23:13.460 their families at home

00:23:14.560 would be sent

00:23:15.320 to those Uyghur 1.00

00:23:16.000 concentration camps

00:23:17.000 so that they would be

00:23:17.940 forced to make masks

00:23:19.380 for people here

00:23:20.560 in North America.

00:23:21.820 That's incredible.

00:23:22.600 Here's a flashback

00:23:23.880 to when Sheila

00:23:24.480 was in Vancouver.

00:23:25.720 And you can see

00:23:26.860 the embassy,

00:23:28.000 the consulate,

00:23:29.400 filming the protesters.

00:23:31.300 And of course,

00:23:31.760 China is very advanced 0.95

00:23:32.820 with facial recognition.

00:23:34.060 So they were literally

00:23:35.020 building a database

00:23:36.040 of any democracy protesters

00:23:38.440 or protesters

00:23:39.820 against the Uyghur 0.99

00:23:40.660 concentration camps

00:23:41.760 in China.

00:23:43.240 Take a look.

00:23:43.600 Now, telecom giant Huawei

00:23:45.820 is a tool

00:23:46.940 of the Chinese

00:23:47.820 communist government

00:23:48.660 to oppress and spy

00:23:49.940 on the Chinese people.

00:23:52.240 And there seems

00:23:53.020 to have been

00:23:53.600 some old school

00:23:54.820 spying and monitoring

00:23:56.300 going on here

00:23:57.260 from the Chinese

00:23:58.540 consulate types

00:23:59.620 and the Huawei executives

00:24:01.040 who were lined up

00:24:02.120 along the wall

00:24:03.160 at the courthouse here.

00:24:04.500 They were photographing

00:24:05.820 and filming

00:24:06.440 the dissident Chinese

00:24:07.960 and religious minority Uyghurs

00:24:09.840 who were on the steps

00:24:11.320 of the courthouse

00:24:12.080 protesting Chinese oppression

00:24:13.740 in China

00:24:14.740 but also across the world.

00:24:16.900 I asked these protesters

00:24:18.140 about how they felt

00:24:19.560 about being monitored

00:24:20.860 by the Chinese

00:24:22.240 here on Canadian soil.

00:24:24.860 Just watch.

00:24:26.160 Freedom and democracy

00:24:27.160 for Uyghurs.

00:24:28.540 Freedom and democracy

00:24:29.660 for Uyghurs.

00:24:30.920 Free to Canadians. 0.94

00:24:32.380 Free to Canadians. 0.94

00:24:33.660 There were Chinese embassy officials

00:24:35.560 and Huawei executives

00:24:36.740 today watching the crowd

00:24:38.400 and they were taking pictures

00:24:39.720 of the crowd

00:24:40.400 and the protesters.

00:24:41.460 Yeah, they do.

00:24:42.160 Are you concerned

00:24:42.960 with what they might do

00:24:44.400 if they knew who you were?

00:24:45.560 I came here

00:24:46.340 a little bit earlier

00:24:47.260 and they take a video,

00:24:49.720 take pictures

00:24:50.480 and if I'm afraid

00:24:53.860 to speak up

00:24:55.360 and that's what

00:24:56.640 the Chinese government

00:24:57.480 wants to do with us

00:24:58.700 and I'm afraid

00:25:00.940 my family members,

00:25:02.020 I love them

00:25:02.600 but I have millions

00:25:03.740 of people there

00:25:04.720 and we need to speak up

00:25:06.740 as a human first.

00:25:08.320 We've worried

00:25:09.020 for a long time.

00:25:11.500 I've been in Canada

00:25:12.500 for 12, 13 years.

00:25:15.360 We never dare

00:25:16.200 to go out

00:25:16.900 for protests 0.67

00:25:17.760 because these terrorist people

00:25:20.660 kidnap our family

00:25:22.540 back home.

00:25:23.720 Anytime we do

00:25:24.640 against them,

00:25:26.100 they kidnap our parents

00:25:28.120 and make them call us

00:25:30.200 and say stay quiet.

00:25:32.740 That's how they work.

00:25:33.800 But we're no longer

00:25:35.780 afraid anymore

00:25:37.260 because more than

00:25:38.280 3 million people

00:25:39.420 in a concentration camp

00:25:41.220 just like

00:25:41.880 Nazi concentration camp.

00:25:44.720 It's no use

00:25:45.820 to be stayed silent.

00:25:47.860 Well, that's incredible

00:25:48.960 and that's happening

00:25:49.540 in Canada

00:25:50.000 and I want to say

00:25:50.660 there's a chapter

00:25:51.200 in my book

00:25:51.800 about how China

00:25:53.780 continues to surveil

00:25:55.640 people in Canada

00:25:56.540 and harass 0.99

00:25:58.080 people in Canada

00:25:59.240 who are Chinese

00:25:59.860 democracy activists

00:26:00.680 and often the people

00:26:01.920 they're harassing

00:26:02.620 don't know

00:26:03.420 that they have

00:26:04.300 the right to stand up

00:26:05.280 and push back

00:26:05.760 because they're still

00:26:06.340 you know,

00:26:07.300 they're still

00:26:07.620 I mean,

00:26:07.960 they're recent immigrants

00:26:08.740 perhaps.

00:26:09.640 There's a chapter

00:26:10.460 in my book

00:26:10.840 where I discuss

00:26:11.480 there was a group

00:26:12.240 of democracy activists

00:26:13.280 in a church

00:26:14.440 in Vancouver

00:26:15.920 and pro-Beijing activists

00:26:18.700 here in Canada

00:26:19.440 surrounded the church

00:26:21.000 and they actually

00:26:22.440 wouldn't let them out

00:26:23.480 until Vancouver

00:26:24.380 police came.

00:26:26.320 Incredible.

00:26:27.480 Kian, I want to ask you

00:26:28.580 based on your experience

00:26:31.520 I mean, you're in Calgary

00:26:32.760 Sheila's here

00:26:33.400 in Northern Alberta

00:26:34.060 do you think

00:26:36.160 that the kind of harassment

00:26:39.300 that Buffet Royale

00:26:41.380 has received

00:26:42.560 over the last couple days

00:26:44.500 do you think

00:26:45.980 that's just

00:26:46.660 a completely

00:26:48.760 manufactured thing?

00:26:50.900 Do you think

00:26:51.640 that Albertans

00:26:52.300 generally

00:26:52.900 are critical

00:26:54.080 of Communist China

00:26:55.080 Huawei

00:26:55.980 the kidnapping

00:26:57.220 of the two Canadians

00:26:58.460 and Justin Trudeau

00:27:00.460 rolling over

00:27:01.900 Beijing

00:27:02.540 every time?

00:27:03.880 Like that

00:27:04.100 please tell me

00:27:05.140 that the people

00:27:06.360 harassing this restaurant

00:27:07.520 are a fringe.

00:27:08.780 They are fringe

00:27:09.320 they're not normal Albertans 0.60

00:27:10.420 normal Albertans

00:27:11.340 aren't

00:27:12.420 don't fantasize

00:27:13.880 about how great

00:27:14.680 the Communist Party

00:27:15.540 of China is

00:27:16.380 and how dangerous

00:27:17.500 it is to criticize them

00:27:18.920 it's a normal thing

00:27:20.020 for Albertans

00:27:20.580 to criticize

00:27:21.060 it's basically

00:27:22.020 their day job

00:27:22.720 is to criticize

00:27:23.480 our federal government

00:27:24.560 and their provincial government

00:27:26.020 and criticizing

00:27:26.920 a foreign government

00:27:27.660 is just par for the course.

00:27:29.020 Now you

00:27:29.480 went to Hong Kong

00:27:31.140 for us last year

00:27:32.140 we had a whole series

00:27:33.380 of videos you did

00:27:34.160 at HongKongReports.com

00:27:35.880 I want to

00:27:36.940 show some of those

00:27:39.000 because again

00:27:39.460 maybe people forgot

00:27:40.320 or they didn't see

00:27:41.060 we didn't put it

00:27:42.160 on our paywall shows

00:27:43.100 that this is on

00:27:43.720 give me a one minute

00:27:45.440 set up for when

00:27:46.440 you were actually

00:27:47.640 in Hong Kong

00:27:48.720 for the democracy

00:27:50.540 protest before

00:27:51.320 China crushed it.

00:27:52.540 It was just such a strange

00:27:53.580 type of politics

00:27:54.900 in Hong Kong

00:27:55.340 it was totally different

00:27:56.200 and the people

00:27:57.160 were fairly similar

00:27:58.600 to what I would consider

00:27:59.460 to be Albertans

00:28:00.020 they're freedom loving

00:28:00.760 they're kind people

00:28:02.580 they love commerce

00:28:03.820 and they have a rich culture

00:28:05.280 same as Alberta

00:28:06.160 the only difference

00:28:06.800 is the politics

00:28:07.520 I was in a protest

00:28:10.520 in the middle of a protest

00:28:11.400 in the financial district

00:28:12.440 and this was the day

00:28:14.060 after the general

00:28:15.300 district election

00:28:16.620 of Hong Kong

00:28:17.500 when the democracy

00:28:18.240 camp steamrolled

00:28:20.320 the CCP

00:28:20.900 and they couldn't have it

00:28:21.860 they were so angry

00:28:22.600 that they actually

00:28:23.560 took a senior cabinet

00:28:24.580 member of Carrie Lam's cabinet

00:28:26.280 and took her

00:28:27.360 physically

00:28:27.860 and walked her

00:28:29.040 through the middle

00:28:29.540 of a protest

00:28:30.120 baiting protesters 0.99

00:28:31.340 to punch her 0.96

00:28:31.940 that's what it was 0.88

00:28:32.560 she was surrounded

00:28:33.300 by security

00:28:33.920 but they were just

00:28:34.500 doing it as a show

00:28:35.160 of force to show

00:28:35.780 look who is really powerful

00:28:37.480 we might have lost

00:28:38.080 the election

00:28:38.440 but we are still

00:28:39.200 the ones running the street

00:28:40.380 and I just

00:28:41.440 the energy

00:28:42.580 in that street

00:28:43.880 was something

00:28:44.280 that I just couldn't believe

00:28:45.680 luckily I just happened

00:28:47.140 to recognize her

00:28:47.760 because my friend

00:28:48.320 from Hong Kong

00:28:48.940 pointed out who that was

00:28:50.140 and what was going on

00:28:50.960 because it just

00:28:52.080 things erupted

00:28:53.020 the moment she stepped

00:28:53.820 on the street

00:28:54.280 but it was one of

00:28:55.700 the most tense moments

00:28:56.960 of my life

00:28:57.500 seeing CCP police

00:28:59.940 Hong Kong police

00:29:00.880 just start marching

00:29:03.160 through the street

00:29:03.720 plowing down people 0.72

00:29:04.660 it's almost like

00:29:05.220 what you'd expect

00:29:06.040 the royal guard

00:29:09.240 outside of the Queen's Palace

00:29:11.440 in the UK

00:29:12.900 to sort of ceremonially

00:29:14.140 push someone away

00:29:15.120 because it's their job

00:29:16.020 to walk

00:29:16.320 they were doing this

00:29:17.160 but through the middle

00:29:17.800 of a protest

00:29:18.500 violently

00:29:19.280 it's worth watching

00:29:20.080 let's take a look at that

00:29:21.140 we're in the central district

00:29:22.300 of Hong Kong

00:29:23.060 documenting a protest

00:29:24.220 that was unfolding

00:29:25.000 at noon

00:29:25.520 a protest full of business people

00:29:27.160 they were in high heels

00:29:28.340 in business suits

00:29:29.060 this wasn't the regular protests

00:29:30.620 that you've seen

00:29:31.600 typically in international media

00:29:33.360 this is basically the Wall Street

00:29:34.760 of Hong Kong

00:29:35.480 and while they were protesting

00:29:37.780 in a show of strength

00:29:39.220 following an embarrassing defeat

00:29:41.440 of the pro-Beijing loyalists

00:29:43.240 last night

00:29:44.020 Regina Ip

00:29:45.040 with her squadron 0.99

00:29:46.120 of Hong Kong police force

00:29:47.740 pushed their way through

00:29:48.900 an entire group

00:29:50.160 an entire block full

00:29:51.860 of peaceful protesters

00:29:53.100 in maybe a show of strength

00:29:55.160 you could call it

00:29:56.040 even though last night

00:29:57.160 her party

00:29:58.180 met an embarrassing defeat

00:30:00.600 how does it feel

00:30:01.920 to betray the people

00:30:02.820 of Hong Kong

00:30:03.520 are you excited

00:30:08.380 for the sanctions

00:30:09.200 how does it feel

00:30:13.060 to betray

00:30:13.540 the people of Hong Kong

00:30:14.640 now as she left

00:30:18.940 she got into a taxi cab

00:30:20.460 a nondescript taxi cab

00:30:21.680 it was very well orchestrated

00:30:23.720 this was a pre-planned provocation

00:30:26.220 of these peaceful protesters

00:30:27.940 she got into this taxi cab

00:30:29.820 and fled

00:30:30.560 and the police got into their van

00:30:34.300 and as they did

00:30:35.540 the crowd went nuts

00:30:37.040 booing the police officers

00:30:38.480 in fact

00:30:38.880 and they eventually left

00:30:40.260 and the crowd

00:30:41.020 almost immediately dispersed

00:30:42.780 to get back to work

00:30:44.060 this is the Wall Street

00:30:45.460 of Hong Kong effectively

00:30:46.600 and these are not

00:30:48.140 the typical protesters

00:30:49.160 that you see

00:30:49.860 wearing black

00:30:50.840 graffitiing the streets

00:30:54.580 these are people

00:30:56.060 who sit at desks

00:30:57.220 at work

00:30:57.740 throughout the day

00:30:58.900 and they came out

00:31:00.320 to protest

00:31:01.020 and celebrate even

00:31:02.240 the victory

00:31:03.020 that the democracy movement

00:31:04.360 had last night

00:31:05.340 well I'm very proud

00:31:06.860 that we sent

00:31:07.740 a reporter

00:31:08.520 into the heart

00:31:09.260 of Hong Kong

00:31:09.960 when the rest of the media

00:31:11.180 was ignoring it

00:31:11.820 I note that the CBC

00:31:12.880 at that time

00:31:13.600 virtually ignored the story

00:31:15.500 we through your support

00:31:17.160 crowdfunding

00:31:17.720 sent Kian there 1.00

00:31:18.840 and we also sent

00:31:19.540 our friend from Australia

00:31:20.500 Avi Yemini there

00:31:21.900 so I feel like

00:31:22.500 we did some good work

00:31:23.180 we won't know

00:31:23.860 how tonight ends

00:31:25.040 in time for my show tonight

00:31:27.240 because we have to upload it

00:31:28.400 to the internet

00:31:28.860 by 8pm eastern time

00:31:31.020 that's really when things

00:31:32.300 will hit the swing

00:31:32.920 I'm fairly confident

00:31:34.760 we're going to go ahead

00:31:35.680 because

00:31:36.400 you know

00:31:37.980 standing up

00:31:39.120 for the dictatorship

00:31:40.020 of China

00:31:40.500 I know that's cool

00:31:41.360 for Justin Trudeau

00:31:42.820 and his circles

00:31:43.480 but I think in Alberta

00:31:44.960 it's not

00:31:45.600 and I think thankfully

00:31:46.760 a great many Chinese Canadians

00:31:49.200 love Canada

00:31:50.840 because it's free

00:31:52.620 and they long for the day

00:31:55.000 that China will be free

00:31:56.800 like Poland became free

00:31:58.940 after being released

00:32:00.640 from the Soviet Union's domination

00:32:02.540 well there you have it folks

00:32:03.880 I'll let you know

00:32:04.600 how it ends

00:32:05.400 I'm grateful to my two friends

00:32:07.220 for being here tonight

00:32:08.200 and we got more

00:32:09.320 we got 144 folks

00:32:17.540 won't ban it again

00:32:20.180 won't stop the buffet

00:32:21.740 until next time
