00:00:00.000 Hi, everybody. A bit of an inside story, but I think it affects you. We lost a court case in
00:00:04.140 the Court of Appeal today. We were challenging the Trudeau Kearney QCJO. That's the Qualified
00:00:10.660 Canadian Journalism Organization. It's the government license for journalists. We were
00:00:16.000 refused a license. I'll tell you why that should scare everyone in this country to have the
00:00:21.000 government choosing who is or is not allowed to report. But first, let me invite you to become
00:00:26.080 a subscriber to rebel news plus and that's extra important today because we don't rely on government
00:00:31.620 money we don't get a dime from government we get all our funds from you and we want to stay that
00:00:36.480 way please help us by going to rebelnewsplus.com clicking subscribe it's eight bucks a month
00:00:42.060 not only do you get great content but you keep us alive
00:00:56.080 tonight a federal court says a trudeau appointed panel can decide that rebel news is not journalism
00:01:07.680 we just lost in the court of appeal and i'm going to tell you why i'm not sorry we fought
00:01:13.060 it's october 8th and this is the ezra levant show
00:01:15.840 shame on you you censorious bug
00:01:26.080 Yesterday, the federal court of appeal handed down its decision in our case against the Canada
00:01:36.540 Revenue Agency. Three judges and it was unanimous. Our appeal was dismissed with costs, which means
00:01:42.800 we have to pay for at least a portion of the government's lawyers. Let me tell you what the
00:01:46.840 case was about because the other media might tell you it was about money or something like that,
00:01:51.660 but it wasn't. In 2019, Justin Trudeau created something called a Qualified Canadian Journalism
00:01:58.620 Organization, QCJO. It doesn't really trip off the tongue well. It's a government license
00:02:04.900 for journalism. If the CRA approves you as a QCJO, you get the goodies. If it doesn't,
00:02:12.960 you don't. What goodies? Well, for five years, if you subscribe to the Globe and Mail or
00:02:18.720 Toronto Star, you could write off your subscription on your taxes. But if you subscribe to Rebel News,
00:02:25.480 you couldn't. Two-tier treatment for media, depending on whether the government approves of
00:02:31.200 you and licenses you. And then there's the big one, the labor tax credit. Ottawa pays 35% of
00:02:39.840 every journalist's salary in this country, up to 85 grand a year. So that works out to 29,750 bucks
00:02:48.440 per reporter per year, every year from the liberal government. Post Media gets it. Toronto Star gets
00:02:55.240 it. Globe and Mail gets it. I hate to tell you, even the Western Standard takes it. I can count
00:03:00.380 on my fingers the media companies that don't. Rebel News, Juno News, Black Locks Reporter,
00:03:07.500 and I'm trying to think of any more. There's a handful of lone journalists too, but I can't
00:03:12.420 about any other journalistic companies that don't take the payoff. Now, Rebel News has never wanted
00:03:18.920 to check. I've said that from day one. What we applied for, the reason we applied for the license
00:03:23.980 in 2021 was for one reason, to find out whether a government panel would actually claim that it has
00:03:31.100 the power to decide who is and isn't a journalist in this country. And now we know. Here's how it
00:03:36.680 worked. The CRA has a thing called the Independent Advisory Board on Eligibility for Journalism Tax
00:03:44.080 Measures. It's a big bureaucratic name, except for it's not independent. That's the last thing
00:03:48.400 it is. They were handpicked by Trudeau. They're not journalism experts, whatever that would mean.
00:03:55.180 To judge us, they looked at three weeks of our reporting, and they reviewed 423 stories, they
00:04:01.180 say. And they claim that 98% of them weren't really news. By the way, the three weeks were
00:04:07.660 the January and February period in 2022 during the freedom convoy in Ottawa. The three weeks
00:04:14.040 when we had more viewers than the CBC did. When all we did was news. It's all we did.
00:04:19.980 News, news, news. We literally had hours of live stream coverage a day in what was going
00:04:25.360 on in Ottawa. The three weeks when we were the only camera on Wellington Street at two
00:04:30.700 in the morning when the police moved in with batons and horses. I mean, that's the period
00:04:34.800 the government's journalism experts looked at and said, not news. What was wrong with our news?
00:04:42.420 What was it if it wasn't news? Like, what on earth would you call that? It wasn't sports. It
00:04:49.000 wasn't, you know, the weather. It was news. Let me read you the actual findings because you should
00:04:54.580 hear it in their words, not mine. They said our stories weren't, quote, based on facts and multiple
00:04:59.540 perspectives analyzed and explained by a journalist. We pointed the camera at what
00:05:05.300 was going on, both the police and the protesters. They said we, quote, frequently failed to identify
00:05:10.480 the author. Well, sometimes our small items are unsigned, but most have our journalist names on
00:05:17.680 them. That's how it is with most news outlets, including the CBC. They quite often don't put
00:05:22.880 their reporter's name on it. And everything is signed. What's that got to do with whether or
00:05:28.080 not its news. And here's my favorite. They counted 58 stories out of the 400 or so they looked at
00:05:34.660 where we crowdfunded on the thing we were covering. And they held that against us
00:05:39.560 because we were asking you, our viewers, to pay for the reporting instead of asking
00:05:44.100 Trudeau to pay for it. That was a strike against us. Think about that. The government's test for
00:05:49.900 real journalism includes, did you take the government's money or the people's money?
00:05:55.600 But the line that got me was this one.
00:05:57.400 In our application for a government journalism license,
00:06:00.280 we told them what we are.
00:06:01.740 We said, quote,
00:06:02.780 at Rebel News, we tell the other side of the story, unquote.
00:06:05.420 That's literally our motto.
00:06:07.180 We said, legacy media reports one perspective,
00:06:09.960 and we were founded to report the other one.
00:06:13.220 The court took our mission statement
00:06:15.260 and used it as the evidence against us.
00:06:17.720 Telling the other side of the story in Canada in 2026
00:06:20.900 is now proof that you're not a journalist.
00:06:23.920 Now, before our enemies get all excited, that's actually just what Trudeau's handpicked journalism experts said.
00:06:30.760 The judges didn't actually say that.
00:06:32.280 They didn't say rebel is bad.
00:06:34.680 They said something narrower.
00:06:37.120 I don't know if it's worse or not.
00:06:38.460 They said it's not the court's job to decide whether we're journalists.
00:06:44.500 They're going to leave that up to Trudeau's handpicked CRA committee.
00:06:50.100 Or whatever club Trudeau and now Mark Carney puts in charge of it.
00:06:53.640 As long as their reasoning hangs together, as long as it's not patently insane, the court won't overturn it.
00:07:01.400 That's called judicial deference.
00:07:03.420 The judges say Parliament put Trudeau's journalism experts in charge, and who are the judges to second-guess the experts.
00:07:11.460 That's the whole theory of judicial deference.
00:07:14.860 We went into this case saying one thing.
00:07:17.880 The government must not be allowed to deny a journalism license because of a news outlet's point of view.
00:07:23.060 And even though they obviously didn't mean it, the government lawyers actually stood up in court and agreed with that for the public record.
00:07:30.180 They knew that if they honestly described what Trudeau's journalism panel was doing, that it's biased and anti-rebel.
00:07:37.860 They knew if they said that, they would lose.
00:07:40.860 Just like they lost when they tried to ban us from the leaders' debates in 2019 and 2021.
00:07:45.260 So to win this time, the Attorney General of Canada told the Court of Appeal that the
00:07:50.260 Liberal government now believes that an outlet's perspective to politics is irrelevant.
00:07:56.060 And the court actually wrote that down three times.
00:07:58.280 Paragraph 101, the problem is not, quote, the substance of the single cause or perspective
00:08:03.140 espoused by Rebel News.
00:08:04.500 Paragraph 113, the CRA agreed that, quote, a perspective that may be broadly discernible
00:08:09.800 in an organization's content is irrelevant.
00:08:12.040 him. Paragraph 116, the CRA was, quote, not interpreting and applying the QCJO definition
00:08:18.700 based on an organization's perceived perspective. I mean, we know that's not true. We know they
00:08:24.060 were appointed. This law was actually nicknamed the anti-rebel or the get rebel bill. But I'm
00:08:30.180 glad they're forced to say it, I guess. This is what they really think. It is disappointing to
00:08:36.040 to see the Conservatives and the member opposites engage in peddling rebel media conspiracy theories.
00:08:45.040 It is disappointing to see the Conservatives engage in peddling rebel media conspiracy theories.
00:08:51.040 Any word, mister, about the Israeli government warning?
00:08:55.040 I don't talk to you. You're not a real gentleman.
00:08:58.040 Leave us alone.
00:08:59.040 I'm sorry, I'm sorry. Do you believe that the public servant should be accountable?
00:09:05.040 Do you believe on the freedom of press?
00:09:10.040 Do you believe on freedom of the press?
00:09:12.040 You're not a real journalist. Stop pretending to be one.
00:09:15.040 What do you mean we are not? We are bringing politicians accountable.
00:09:19.040 You're not a real journalist. Rebel News is not a real journalist.
00:09:22.040 So you don't believe on freedom of the press?
00:09:24.040 But you're not press. I'm press.
00:09:26.040 You're not. You're registered as a lobby.
00:09:29.040 So what is it for you a journalist?
00:09:31.040 You're not. What is it for you a journalist?
00:09:33.040 A non-partisan media house that's recognized.
00:09:35.820 So you think that CBC is completely neutral?
00:09:38.540 Rebel News is not a journalism outlet.
00:09:39.740 So you think that CBC is neutral?
00:09:41.380 You're not a journalist. Stop pretending to be one.
00:09:43.700 The only reason that I'm allowed to ask you this question is because today the federal court ruled
00:09:48.940 that the government doesn't have the right to determine who is or is not a journalist.
00:09:53.760 This is the second election in a row that the court had to overturn your government.
00:09:58.840 Do you still insist on being able to make that decision and won?
00:10:03.040 First of all, questions around accreditation were handled by the press gallery and the consortium of networks
00:10:12.200 who have strong perspectives on quality journalism and the important information that is shared with Canadians.
00:10:20.340 The reality is organizations like yours that continue to spread misinformation and disinformation
00:10:32.140 on the science around vaccines, around how we're going to actually get through this pandemic
00:10:39.480 and be there for each other and keep our kids safe, is part of why we're seeing such
00:10:45.080 unfortunate anger and lack of understanding of basic science. And quite frankly, your,
00:10:54.440 I won't call it a media organization, your group of individuals need to take accountability
00:11:01.780 for some of the polarization that we're seeing in this country.
00:11:07.240 And I think Canadians are cluing into the fact
00:11:10.640 that there is a really important decision we take
00:11:14.280 about the kind of country we want to see.
00:11:16.640 And I salute all extraordinary, hardworking journalists
00:11:20.200 that put science and facts at the heart of what they do
00:11:24.220 and ask me tough questions every day,
00:11:26.740 but make sure that they are educating and informing Canadians
00:11:31.980 from a broad range of perspectives, which is the last thing that you guys do.
00:11:36.700 So we lost the court case yesterday, but we got the government to put in a binding judgment
00:11:41.320 the one sentence we've been trying to extract from them for seven years,
00:11:44.960 being conservative should not be disqualifying.
00:11:47.640 Remember that the next time a Liberal cabinet minister says otherwise.
00:11:51.000 But the government won because the judges said they would defer to the experts on Trudeau's panel
00:11:57.100 I don't know what an expert on journalism and politics is, by the way.
00:11:59.940 Isn't it just someone that Trudeau and Carney likes?
00:12:02.840 I mean, how are they more expert on politics than you or me?
00:12:06.240 One more thing in that court judgment.
00:12:07.580 The court said that the bigger question, whether or not this whole QCJO government journalist licensing system, quote,
00:12:15.880 offends the freedom of the press by enabling the government to regulate journalism through
00:12:20.440 the selective distribution of tax benefits was never decided. It was not rejected. It was not
00:12:27.240 decided. The door is still open to a constitutional challenge. Because this is not our first time in
00:12:32.960 that building. I mean, let me remind you of some of our court cases fighting for freedom. As I
00:12:37.440 just mentioned, back in 2019, the Leaders Debates Commission, also a Trudeau invention,
00:12:42.340 barred our reporters from the election debates. We went to federal court, we won. The judge said
00:12:47.460 the commission's no activism rule was, quote, undefined and apparently unevenly applied.
00:12:54.380 That's actually a quote in today's ruling, by the way. Today's appeal judges went out of their way
00:12:58.620 to say that win still stands. In 2021, they tried it again. Same Trudeau commission, same election
00:13:05.900 debates, same excuse. We went to court on an emergency basis and the judge ordered them to
00:13:10.560 let us in the night before the debate. Two for two. Then in 2023, Stephen Gilbeau, the environment
00:13:16.900 minister, blocked us on Twitter so I couldn't see or reply to the minister of the crown. We sued.
00:13:22.700 After two years, he signed a court order. Unblock me. Never block us again. Pay 20 grand for our
00:13:28.560 legal bills. The following year, 2024, three more liberal ministers, Yara Sachs, Marcia Ian,
00:13:35.000 Karina Gould, all blocked us, all sued, all ordered to unblock us for the rest of their careers.
00:13:39.860 Half a dozen cabinet ministers, in fact. Two debate commissions. That's the scoreboard.
00:13:45.120 And now one loss on a tax credit we never wanted to cash.
00:13:50.220 Ottawa now spends more than $1.7 billion a year on the media, counting the CBC.
00:13:55.780 Mark Carney promised the CBC another $150 million on top.
00:14:00.140 And this spring, Canadian Heritage quietly opened a review of every journalism subsidy program it has,
00:14:07.140 with 12 secret stakeholder meetings
00:14:10.420 and nothing posted on the public consultation page.
00:14:13.700 More secret deals with insider journalists.
00:14:17.400 So take today's ruling and turn it around.
00:14:20.580 If Rebel News, with its millions of viewers
00:14:22.600 and its reporters on the ground at every convoy,
00:14:25.440 every protest, every court case,
00:14:27.500 if we fail the government's test on journalism,
00:14:31.180 then think about who must be passing it
00:14:33.800 and what they must be giving to Trudeau and Carney
00:14:36.260 to keep getting paid. Every outlet with the QCJO stamp has been reviewed by that same Trudeau panel
00:14:44.560 and was found acceptable. They looked at three weeks of the Toronto Star and said, yeah, this
00:14:49.820 one's fine. They looked at three weeks of the Globe and Mail and said, yeah, that's our kind
00:14:53.240 of journalism. 35% of every reporter's salary in this country, straight from the finance minister.
00:14:59.700 That's not really a press gallery, is it? That's a government payroll now. How does a reporter
00:15:04.660 cover a government that signs your own paycheck? How do you ask Carney a hard question about the
00:15:09.200 carbon tax or Gilboa about his pipelines or Gould about the censorship bills when the very license
00:15:14.660 to exist as a journalism was handed to you by a panel they appointed? You don't, they don't. That's
00:15:20.780 not journalism. What we do is journalism. We're one of a handful of news outlets in the country
00:15:25.800 that has never taken the government money. Not the labor credit, not the periodical fund, not the
00:15:31.060 local journalism initiative, not the CBC's budget. The only people who pay for Rebel News are the
00:15:37.100 people watching right now. You. That's why they can call us activists, because we answer to you
00:15:44.100 and not to them. I'll take that trade every day. We'll be reviewing the ruling with our lawyers
00:15:48.920 this week. We may seek leave to appeal to the Supreme Court, but frankly, I think the battle
00:15:53.320 has moved on to new censorship battles on a new front line. Look at what Carney has done in just
00:15:58.520 the past six months, Bill C-9, the so-called Combating Hate Act. It's already law. It got
00:16:03.660 royal assent in June. For 50 years, the hate speech law had a defense for anyone who, in good faith,
00:16:10.100 expressed, quote, an opinion based on a belief in a religious text. Mark Carney's bill deleted it.
00:16:15.940 Now quote the wrong verse of the Bible or the Torah, and that defense is gone. Bill C-22,
00:16:21.800 the laughably named Lawful Access Act. Police can demand that your phone or internet company
00:16:27.460 confirm you're a customer, no warrant, and every electronic service provider, Google,
00:16:32.260 Meta, WhatsApp, has to build in the capability for the government to get at your data, test it
00:16:37.500 for the police on demand, and this is the part that gets me, keep those requests a secret from you.
00:16:44.560 That bill is through the House of Commons, it's in the Senate right now. Bill C-34, the Safe
00:16:48.960 Social Media Act, Mark Miller's bill, it creates a brand new regulator, the Digital Safety Commission
00:16:54.200 of Canada with the power to order platforms to take down what it calls hate fomenting content
00:17:00.220 within 24 hours and find them 10 million bucks or 3% of their worldwide revenue. If they don't,
00:17:06.100 that's the online harms bill back from the dead with a friendlier name. I think that's probably
00:17:10.460 the front line. Now, those are the battles. Now, a panel that decides who's a journalist.
00:17:16.620 Yeah. A law that decides which scripture you can quote a commission that decides what comes down
00:17:22.760 off the internet and how many hours it has to come down in. Either way, this fight doesn't end
00:17:27.320 because the fight isn't about a tax credit. It's about who gets to decide what journalism
00:17:31.660 it is in Canada, a panel in Ottawa, or you. By the way, the court didn't just rule against us.
00:17:39.240 It ordered us to pay the government's legal costs too. Not their full costs, thankfully, but it will
00:17:45.220 be thousands of dollars, but that's on top of our own legal bills. Five years, two court cases,
00:17:51.600 a 51-page judgment that says the government panel gets the last word.
00:17:56.580 Our legal fees on this one with our current law firm alone are now more than $105,000.
00:18:03.180 Not $1 of that came from a tax credit.
00:18:06.040 Every dollar came from voluntary donations.
00:18:09.140 So if you want to help us cover the court's costs and help us
00:18:11.940 settle up our tab with our lawyers and prepare for the next round,
00:18:16.460 go to LetUsReport.com.
00:18:18.820 Every dollar comes from a viewer, not a cabinet minister.
00:18:23.000 And we're going to keep it that way.
00:18:25.120 So here's my question for you tonight.
00:18:27.100 Trudeau's panel looked at Rebel and said, no.
00:18:31.140 They looked at the CBC, the Star of the Globe and said, yes.
00:18:35.600 After today, when you read one of them, how could you ever trust them?
00:18:41.960 Please go to LettuceReport.com.
00:18:44.600 Thanks.
00:18:48.820 Oh, hi, everybody. 0.84
00:18:54.260 Yesterday was October 7th, the third anniversary of the day where Hamas terrorists from Gaza
00:19:00.320 broke into Israel, massacred 1,200 people, raped, tortured, and took more than 200 hostages
00:19:07.860 down to Gaza to keep them underground in tunnels for months. 0.99
00:19:12.340 Well, that was a cause for celebration by pro-Hamas activists across Canada and even 1.00
00:19:18.260 around the world. What follows is some of our coverage of this, starting with Abiyamini in
00:19:23.500 Australia, going to Montreal for two of our new young journalists, and what happened in Toronto.
00:19:30.020 Massive coverage of a massive story. Here, take a look.
00:19:38.620 I'm Anastasia Zocensky reporting live for Rebel News from McGill University in Montreal.
00:19:48.260 So the fact that pro-Hamas, pro-Palestinians decided to take the day of October 7th to
00:19:58.940 protest and celebrate this attack is the most disgusting thing I think I've ever heard of.
00:20:05.900 Three years ago today, Hamas terrorists blew through Israel's border wall at dawn.
00:20:10.640 They murdered 1,200 people, civilians, in their homes at a music festival in their beds.
00:20:15.500 They dragged 251 hostages into Gaza.
00:20:18.260 Hamas gave that massacre a name, Al-Aqsa Flood.
00:20:21.420 That's not a neutral term, it's the brand Hamas invented for its own attack.
00:20:26.020 In the afternoon, Jewish students held a vigil to remember the victims of the terrorist massacre.
00:20:31.500 Simultaneously, the Quebecois and Iranian community came to protect the students from terrorism
00:20:37.020 because on the anniversary, an October 7th rally is being held at the Roda Gates of McGill University
00:20:42.760 by ACEPHR, which stands for Students for Palestine Honor and Resistance.
00:20:46.760 Their rally photo is from the morning of October 7th, 2023, near the Erez crossing.
00:20:52.880 That's the same crossing where Hamas detonated the wall, stormed the checkpoint, killed people, and led hostages back into Gaza.
00:21:00.400 The archive that holds this photo captions it, El Aqsa flood operation.
00:21:05.420 Above the post, in Arabic, is from water to water, Palestine is Arab.
00:21:09.800 I really wonder where they want the Jews, Christians, Druze, and every other community to go.
00:21:13.760 Last October 7th, protesters burned an Israeli flag with red handprints right in the middle of the McGill campus.
00:21:20.000 And when Jewish students, including myself, held up their own flags, police didn't move the people burning the flag.
00:21:25.960 They moved us and threatened to arrest us.
00:21:28.220 We're asking you to leave. If not, we will arrest you guys.
00:21:31.620 You're telling me that. You're going to officially work.
00:21:34.480 We're obstructing to our work.
00:21:36.480 We have a job to do right now. We're trying to maintain peace in the area.
00:21:39.620 And right now you're causing a conflict by your presence and they're not leaving because of your presence.
00:21:43.760 And just a few weeks ago, Concordia Student Union handed ASPHR $1,875 in student money, approving it as the Community Affinity Group.
00:21:53.900 That category was created by a policy brought forward by Dana Ballantyne, the union's former External Affairs Coordinator and a formal ASPHR executive.
00:22:03.560 When I tried to amend that policy to bar groups tied to terrorist organizations or that glorify October 7th, it was voted down.
00:22:10.560 I am here live asking people, what do they think about those who celebrate the October 7th massacre attack?
00:22:16.380 Let's see what they have to say.
00:22:24.260 Why are you here today?
00:22:25.860 I am here to commemorate the atrocities that were committed on October 7th,
00:22:30.840 to commemorate those who were lost, and to really make sure that never again is a real thing.
00:22:35.800 So I'm here because today is the third anniversary of the October 7th attack.
00:22:40.560 against Israel by Hamas terrorists, and I feel the need to be with my community today.
00:22:46.280 I'm a Jewish student on campus, so being around other Jewish students here today
00:22:51.120 makes me feel very united, close to my people when I'm so far away from home, from Israel.
00:22:56.480 It's very nice to be here.
00:22:57.600 So we're here for the memory of the people who lost their lives on the 7th of October, three years ago.
00:23:04.880 And we have always been condemning the terrorists who were supporting that
00:23:10.240 the people who are actually taking sides with the people who did it and like it
00:23:17.260 can be Hamas Hezbollah and IRGC and the regime of the Ayatollahs in Tehran and
00:23:21.700 as all of those lead to the regime in Tehran as an Iranian we feel
00:23:28.360 responsible and we're always here with you the Jewish community to say that we
00:23:33.760 are with you I'm here because three years ago it was the day that changed
00:23:38.500 our life forever. The world before and the world after. It was October 7, 2023, where Hamas and
00:23:45.880 other terrorist group, including civilians from Gaza, came to Israel and massacred, murdered
00:23:52.420 children, babies, fathers, mothers, elderly. They kidnapped over 200 people to Gaza. And today,
00:24:01.740 it's the first year that after the release of all the hostages, the dead ones and the living ones,
00:24:07.020 and we're here to mourn the dead finally and we're here to think what we can do to
00:24:13.780 keep our safety and make the world better for everyone. Today I'm here
00:24:19.260 remembering my friends who died on 10-7. So as you can see the police behind me
00:24:24.960 there's a heightened security and police presence right now because the walkout
00:24:29.080 from the college Set-Jep Dawson has just arrived and on the other side you can
00:24:34.680 see the pro-quebecois side right over there knowing that there's a protest in a few hours
00:24:57.660 celebrating october 7th um actually encourages me to be here even more so since october 7th
00:25:03.440 2023, Jewish students have lost their right to mourn their dead. They've lost their rights to 0.64
00:25:08.420 commemorate the tragedy of October 7th. They've lost their rights to support their country. And
00:25:15.140 I think it's a horrible, horrible thing. And we need to consistently show up and say, no,
00:25:19.740 we are here. We are going to commemorate our dead. And we are going to be a community. And so by
00:25:24.860 being here today, I think that we're making that statement. And secondly, we're also showing that
00:25:30.220 We will not capitulate to a side that might be louder than us and is certainly more aggressive and violent.
00:25:36.560 We will not fear them. We will show up. We will be respectful as we always are.
00:25:40.980 But we will not let another group get in the way of us mourning our death.
00:25:44.160 So the fact that pro-Hamas, pro-Palestinians decided to take the day of October 7th to protest and celebrate this attack
00:25:55.180 is the most disgusting thing I think I've ever heard of.
00:25:58.620 They literally took the day of, the day that so many innocent lives were taken,
00:26:05.060 so many of our brothers and sisters who were murdered by these terrorists,
00:26:09.440 they chose this day to protest.
00:26:12.500 And it's very intimidating, especially as a Jewish student, to see this on campus,
00:26:16.660 which is why I think this is beautiful.
00:26:18.620 We're here together to show that we're not intimidated and that we're not going to be quiet
00:26:22.400 and that we're proud to be here, proud to be Jewish.
00:26:25.060 And when you see Canadian students cheering for Hamas or for Palestine, as they say, on October 7th, protesting and planning a rally on this day, what do you think about that?
00:26:36.600 I think they've been doing this. They've been having this propaganda for like more than five years now to just whitewashing, like to just say that Hamas, Hezbollah and all of those terrorist groups are the right side, which is not true.
00:26:51.060 We have seen what they are capable of doing.
00:26:53.220 We have seen what they have been doing in here.
00:26:55.100 We have seen Canadian students supporting people who are burning Canadian flag in Canada.
00:27:00.380 This is not respectful and this is not what we like to see.
00:27:06.160 And I've been seeing lots of Canadian students in McGill, in Concordia, all of Montreal and other cities of Canada
00:27:12.460 who have been somehow brainwashed by this.
00:27:15.200 and they don't know that most of the demonstrators who are doing this against Canada, against the whole West,
00:27:21.500 they are actually being funded, and they're paid protesters.
00:27:24.780 I think it's absolutely insane.
00:27:26.520 I think that they tried since the first day to normalize slowly, slowly these actions,
00:27:34.180 the idea that Jewish life don't matter, that Jewish blood doesn't matter, 0.57
00:27:40.980 that they can just do whatever and get away with it. 0.90
00:27:43.680 these ideas they are taking over uh the world the society people are not realizing it yet
00:27:51.240 um but i hope that people will wake up and soon they will understand but this is really horrible
00:27:57.500 and give me the goosebumps and how do you feel about the fact that there's a protest today
00:28:01.780 celebrating october 7th uh pretty bad you know they're like pretty they're overtly pro-war with
00:28:08.460 no ifs or any questions about what they think and if you ask them like what are the groups on the
00:28:13.980 ground they support they think it's a trick question because you're trying to get them to
00:28:16.700 say hamas the idea that you're asking them like oh who's like the equal of the anc and nelson
00:28:22.700 mandela lapses their mind they really have they don't only oppose the israelis and palestinians
00:28:29.020 who went pieced on the ground, but they like never even heard of them.
00:28:37.000 No, it's on your phone. Your phone is the one reporting, no?
00:28:46.000 If you think that people who are not Canadian citizens and support terrorist groups here in 0.50
00:28:50.820 Canada should be deported, sign the petition DeportHamas.com. Again, DeportHamas.com.
00:28:57.840 Do you feel like Quebec has sufficiently dealt with the extremism and the terrorism problem here?
00:29:03.760 I would say that they've done an insufficient job and I think that the best way to tell that is by the fact that we're three years into this and we're still seeing a lot of those same issues with violent protests on our streets, with the taking over of our school system by these nefarious actors, these anti-Western actors.
00:29:23.480 And I think that ultimately what we're seeing is that the laws on the book exist to keep us safe
00:29:30.840 and in theory exist to prevent these kinds of things from happening, especially for three years in a row.
00:29:35.940 And so it's all about just needing to enforce those laws.
00:29:39.820 And oftentimes we see that those laws, unfortunately, are not being enforced, which is causing the issues we have.
00:29:45.500 It's not to say that the government is not doing anything at all, because of course they are,
00:29:49.120 but it's to say that their efforts up till now have been largely insufficient.
00:29:52.480 Absolutely not. I shouldn't see any protests on October 7th.
00:29:56.200 The fact that I see that from the other side, from the pro-Palestine, pro-Hamas side,
00:30:00.760 just proves that Quebec has not done their job and has not done what they can and everything they can to stop this
00:30:07.820 because we literally have terrorists walking in our streets as we speak. So, absolutely not.
00:30:14.380 I believe that those pro-Islamist people, those pro-Hamas, pro-Hizballah people,
00:30:20.460 they're actually taking advantage of the freedom of speech we have in here in Quebec and like we
00:30:27.540 have laicite in here in Quebec but like it seems like they haven't been respecting that we have
00:30:33.940 we have seen them doing prayers outdoors in front of the churches which is not respectful at all
00:30:40.520 and I believe that Quebec is one of the places one of the provinces which is actually in danger
00:30:46.600 of losing its advantages and the benefits it has?
00:30:51.020 I don't think they do enough.
00:30:53.060 I think some of them, they're starting to wake up.
00:30:55.840 I think there are some voices that I would like them to be stronger.
00:31:01.660 Some voices they're aligning with us.
00:31:04.000 They're aligning with the real values of Quebec,
00:31:07.180 of a good society who keeps its identity
00:31:11.480 while letting everyone to live in safety.
00:31:15.100 I think that's what's important and I hope that more voices will be brave enough to say
00:31:21.860 how society really should look like and not the masks that we see at the moment.
00:31:28.260 Do you think that Quebec is dealing with its extremism and terrorism problems sufficiently?
00:31:33.400 I don't know enough about the Quebec government to answer.
00:31:35.780 is there something that quebec could do that would be sufficient enough to deal with this problem
00:31:47.720 i don't think that you know i think free speech is one thing but when there are people glorifying
00:31:54.420 terror and glorifying terrorists and are affiliated with terrorist organizations i think that should
00:32:00.640 be illegal i don't think that that should be allowed on our streets here in canada so
00:32:04.980 it is illegal it is illegal okay so they should enforce that because it is illegal and
00:32:11.820 yeah it's dangerous this is very dangerous i think first they have to point out the people
00:32:19.660 the ideas that these people are bringing to the streets the propaganda that they bring to the
00:32:28.100 streets i think they need they have to point out all these things first so people will understand
00:32:34.600 what is right what is wrong not to let these things go with the free speech I
00:32:43.000 know some people they are afraid because they don't want to be racist they don't
00:32:47.980 want to be to be pictured as such but we live in a world where we have to be
00:32:52.900 brave and we have to to face reality and and and to say the truth yeah they
00:32:59.800 could enforce the existing laws, which they clearly don't, as well as they could do forced
00:33:07.320 intergroup contact programming on campuses. Here we have Jewish events and stuff, but
00:33:13.500 you and I have tried to walk up and make friends with the people who hate us,
00:33:17.440 and they won't even get coffee with you. The university needs to do these things.
00:33:24.340 well that's our show for the day hey did you see that kind of coverage that kind of footage
00:33:32.160 of what the pro-hamas protesters are doing did you see that on the ctv or ct cbc or some other
00:33:38.360 regime media i bet you didn't because they do their best to cover up just how dangerous
00:33:42.840 and radical those hamas supporters are until next time on behalf of all of us here at rebel
00:33:49.000 world headquarters to you at home good night and keep fighting for freedom
00:33:54.340 You
