00:01:14.280 Welcome to Rebel Roundup, ladies and gentlemen, and the rest of you,

00:01:32.620 in which we look back at some of the very best commentaries of the week by your favourite Rebels.

00:01:37.600 I'm your host, David Menzies.

00:01:39.140 Kian Bextie recently checked into one of those COVID quarantine hotels

00:01:43.980 upon returning to Canada from the great state of Florida.

00:01:47.860 And shockers, it was not a good experience.

00:01:52.460 Kian joins us to give us all the nitty-gritty details

00:01:55.320 on what it's like to stay at L'Hotel Justin Trudeau.

00:01:59.580 And while Kian had an awful time at the Calgary property he stayed at, 0.91

00:02:05.020 at least he wasn't sexually assaulted.

00:02:07.660 This allegedly happened to a woman staying at a Montreal quarantine hotel.

00:02:12.420 Jerea Humphrey was able to recently interview her.

00:02:15.600 And let's put it this way, folks.

00:02:17.400 If the allegations are indeed true,

00:02:19.860 what this woman experienced was downright shocking, disgraceful, and completely illegal.

00:02:25.960 And letters, we get your letters.

00:02:27.400 We get them every minute of every day.

00:02:29.420 And you had plenty to say about an essential worker

00:02:32.540 returning home to Sudbury, Ontario from California

00:02:35.840 for a very important doctor's appointment.

00:02:39.100 And not only did he miss that appointment,

00:02:41.760 he was forced to stay in that rat-bag Radisson quarantine hotel in Toronto. 0.75

00:02:46.520 And when he left early,

00:02:48.440 he received an almost $4,000 fine from police.

00:02:54.520 Unbelievable.

00:02:55.120 Those are your rebels.

00:02:56.840 Now let's round them up. 0.98

00:03:03.260 I don't give a s**t. 0.99

00:03:05.040 I'm going to go to a COVID jail. 0.98

00:03:06.840 I'm going to check in.

00:03:08.180 I paid for it.

00:03:09.680 It costs an insane amount of money.

00:03:12.360 If you want to help with that,

00:03:14.440 it's at nocovidjails.com.

00:03:16.520 I'm going to go there and see what's happening.

00:03:18.500 I'm going to go check in.

00:03:19.440 I'm going to document the whole thing.

00:03:21.440 And what are they going to say?

00:03:22.660 No, don't come to the hotel.

00:03:23.840 I paid for it.

00:03:25.100 I'm going.

00:03:26.500 I'm leaving the airport.

00:03:28.120 We're going to see what's going to happen.

00:03:38.360 Hi.

00:03:39.440 Just checking in.

00:03:40.380 Sorry?

00:03:40.980 Can I help you?

00:03:41.820 Yes, I have a room.

00:03:42.980 Here?

00:03:43.560 Yeah.

00:03:43.820 This is the quarantine place, right?

00:03:48.540 You will be assisted over here, sir?

00:03:52.820 Yeah, by Omkart.

00:03:56.220 By Omkart.

00:03:58.080 Yes?

00:03:59.420 I have someone checking in.

00:04:01.200 I can help you.

00:04:02.920 Is this form for you guys or for the government?

00:04:07.740 For us.

00:04:11.180 February 28th, eh?

00:04:14.640 Yep.

00:04:15.540 So I can't go to Lahata?

00:04:16.980 Yes.

00:04:18.380 But you get four fresh air breaks.

00:04:21.580 Four fresh air breaks.

00:04:22.620 Yes.

00:04:22.960 Four fresh air breaks.

00:04:24.140 Just call the front desk and schedule the time with them.

00:04:27.300 Per day?

00:04:28.040 Per day, yeah.

00:04:28.540 Eight zero, I call someone?

00:04:31.160 Yes.

00:04:32.420 So that you can place an order for the snack and for the dinner for tonight.

00:04:36.280 And they will also take your order for next day.

00:04:38.880 Okay.

00:04:44.080 Go ahead.

00:04:46.120 I'm so sorry.

00:04:47.020 It's a strange situation these days.

00:04:49.000 It's not your fault.

00:04:49.740 It's Justin Trudeau's fault.

00:04:53.240 Thinking he can put Canadians in jails.

00:04:56.820 This is basically jail.

00:04:57.860 Yeah, it sounds like that, but we'll treat you in a moment.

00:05:00.120 Oh, I'm sure he will.

00:05:02.120 But I should be allowed to go home, see my partner.

00:05:07.680 I was told that the locks had been removed from the doors.

00:05:13.280 Did you hear that?

00:05:13.920 I'm sorry?

00:05:14.380 The locks have been removed from the doors?

00:05:16.820 Locks.

00:05:17.540 Locks.

00:05:18.120 Like deadbolts? 0.99

00:05:20.000 Not really.

00:05:21.200 So that hasn't been the case here?

00:05:23.500 No.

00:05:23.960 Okay.

00:05:27.860 The risks of me being in this hotel are greater, you know, with me being here than if I just

00:05:42.040 went home.

00:05:43.120 These hotels should be closed down.

00:05:44.600 And actually, the conservative opposition has called for a suspension of this program.

00:05:48.260 I don't know why they didn't just call for an abolition of the whole thing, because this

00:05:52.500 is a joke.

00:05:53.600 Well, doggy, as Uncle Jed Clampett used to say.

00:05:57.940 Remember how the very idea of COVID-19 jails and quarantine camps used to be dismissed as

00:06:05.160 conspiracy theory stuff?

00:06:07.040 Remember how Ontario MPP Randy Hillier was mocked and laughed at in the legislature for

00:06:14.060 merely raising the idea?

00:06:15.820 Well, barely a few months later, it has all come to fruition, and no one knows that better

00:06:22.420 than our Calgary-based reporter, Kian Bextie.

00:06:26.000 So, Kian, welcome to Rebel Roundup. 0.92

00:06:27.840 And so many angles to pursue here, my friend.

00:06:31.160 That staffer said they were going to take really good care of you.

00:06:36.220 So tell us, if you were writing a review regarding this property, how many stars do you give it

00:06:41.900 out of five?

00:06:42.660 I'd give it zero stars out of five on account of the fact that my freedoms were confiscated

00:06:48.200 from me for about a day.

00:06:51.020 Well, you know, Kian, that was an unfair question.

00:06:52.960 I should have prefaced it by saying you're allowed to give negative numbers, too.

00:06:58.140 But anyhow, Kian, it was a fascinating report to see you in that hotel doing your daily dispatches.

00:07:07.060 Here, in the big picture scheme of things, this is what has me scratching my head.

00:07:11.940 But this month, we're approaching the one-year anniversary of all the lockdowns that we

00:07:17.460 endured in Canada.

00:07:18.880 And what I don't understand is, why wasn't there this due diligence of shutting down

00:07:25.420 international air travel a year ago from the COVID hotspots around the world?

00:07:31.540 That's what Taiwan did instead of shutting down their whole economy. 0.95

00:07:35.480 Why did it take the Justin Trudeau Liberals almost 12 months to put this plan into action?

00:07:42.100 Justin Trudeau has been behind the eight ball throughout this entire pandemic.

00:07:46.220 Right from the get-go, Justin Trudeau's advisers and bureaucrats were telling us one thing.

00:07:52.320 And then two months later, they come back with completely polar opposite 180 advice.

00:07:58.060 And whether it's his advisers telling him one thing and then changing the tune a little bit

00:08:04.920 later, or whether it's just pure incompetence at the very top, it's not clear.

00:08:08.920 But the only thing we can see right now, and looking back, and of course, we've seen since

00:08:16.220 the get-go that this has all just been almost a show.

00:08:19.220 So we haven't learned anything, it seems.

00:08:22.660 And secondly, there's just massive frustration with the government when it comes to anyone

00:08:28.120 who has to deal with them for any reason when it comes to the pandemic, and most especially

00:08:33.320 when it comes to these quarantine jails.

00:08:36.320 You know, I think you nailed it, Kian, when you said just a show.

00:08:40.780 That's what we're really talking about here, isn't it?

00:08:43.080 It's the optics.

00:08:44.000 It's the Justin Trudeau Liberals doing political street theatre, showing the Canadian public,

00:08:50.020 you see how much we care about your safety, you see the extent we're going to quarantine

00:08:55.160 this virus.

00:08:56.240 And there's probably some people there saying, yeah, people shouldn't be travelling anyways,

00:09:00.360 but there are people returning to Canada for cancer treatment appointments.

00:09:04.700 There are people returning to Canada after they had to bury their father or mother overseas.

00:09:12.020 The point I'm getting at is there is indeed essential travel, and yet they're almost being

00:09:18.040 made martyrs by this grotesque political street theatre we see playing out.

00:09:23.820 Who cares why they were travelling?

00:09:26.060 I take, like, and I'm sure you agree, you know, there's people that are travelling for

00:09:32.380 extremely sympathetic reasons.

00:09:33.840 They're going to go see their dying brother in San Francisco, or they're attending the funeral

00:09:37.100 of their mother, or, you know, whatever it is.

00:09:39.840 But, you know, that's just the sympathetic cases.

00:09:42.880 We have, you know, anyone has a right to travel, and people saying otherwise, people who are

00:09:48.020 butthurt and supporting the government in this way and about this issue, they're just mad

00:09:55.540 that either, A, they don't have the courage to do anything that the government doesn't

00:09:59.800 tell them to do and holds their hand through, or B, they couldn't afford to travel and go

00:10:03.820 on vacation with their family.

00:10:05.140 That's basically what we're dealing with, right?

00:10:06.820 Either these super sympathetic cases or people who are going on vacation and living their

00:10:10.920 lives.

00:10:11.500 People are just envious and jealous and lame losers, frankly, if they are targeting these 0.92

00:10:17.080 people and think that they are, you know, somehow to blame for anything at all, right? 0.96

00:10:22.920 Like, they're not.

00:10:23.960 The evidence shows that people, A, either aren't bringing back COVID, or the people that are

00:10:28.940 and travelling are essential travellers who are exempt from this anyways.

00:10:31.860 And that's the vast majority of travellers anyway, so focusing in on these people who

00:10:36.820 are either going on vacation, good for them, or going to go see their dying mom, how do

00:10:43.660 these people sleep at night?

00:10:44.700 You know, like, it's none of their business.

00:10:46.420 No, absolutely, Kean.

00:10:47.540 And I would say that, you know, we have learned so much in the past year, haven't we?

00:10:51.920 I mean, I look at my streeters at Pearson International Airport from a year ago.

00:10:55.920 I was going there with gloves on, masks, goggles, because, you know, this was really serious.

00:11:02.580 They were shutting down the whole economy.

00:11:04.120 It was almost like this was Ebola we were dealing with.

00:11:07.540 We know now that's not the truth.

00:11:09.160 We know there is a very selective demographic that dies from this virus.

00:11:14.460 And, you know, so we've got all this knowledge which, first of all, would suggest that's when

00:11:20.300 the international travel should have been clamped down a year ago.

00:11:23.780 But to your point, you're right.

00:11:26.480 Who cares where you're traveling now because of what we do know about this virus?

00:11:31.760 During the Christmastime break, MLAs, MPs, MPPs, they were buggering off to the Caribbean, to Hawaii.

00:11:39.040 So obviously, they know that this is not danger.

00:11:42.660 Why would they put their friends, colleagues, and family members in jeopardy by going abroad

00:11:50.020 if they thought that they were going to be a super spreader upon their return?

00:11:55.140 Yeah, I mean, I've said this before.

00:11:57.600 I have, you know, I think I'm a good example of this.

00:12:00.520 I've traveled internationally twice.

00:12:02.580 I've been on about 100 flights on 100 different planes since the pandemic started.

00:12:07.400 I've been in a crowd of a million people with not a single person wearing a mask.

00:12:10.940 I've watched straight through it, beelined through it, actually, at the Washington day on January 6th.

00:12:17.020 I've interviewed hundreds of people, and I've not gotten sick.

00:12:22.360 Traveling doesn't just make you sick.

00:12:24.200 It doesn't make you a risk, even, I don't think.

00:12:27.460 It's just fear-mongering.

00:12:29.340 It's scapegoat politics.

00:12:31.340 And that's the exact kind of politics that Justin Trudeau tries to virtue signal that he opposes, right?

00:12:35.860 But when it comes to this group of people who are traveling or seeing their parents or going on vacation,

00:12:41.640 for some reason it's okay to scapegoat them and make an entire country feel like they somehow are being hurt,

00:12:50.920 either physically or financially through the country needing to stay locked down,

00:12:55.560 that somehow the responsibility for that lies at the hands and feet of these people who are traveling.

00:13:00.920 Obviously, that's not the case, but Justin Trudeau needs desperately someone to blame outside of his own incompetence.

00:13:07.080 You know, Kian, just like yourself, for the past year, I've been going to anti-lockdown protests.

00:13:13.240 I've been going to long-term care facilities.

00:13:15.820 I've been going to protests where there's large crowds of unmasked people.

00:13:21.580 So, technically, I should be dead right now.

00:13:24.840 So, but wrap-up question, my friend, this is being done for political reasons, not public safety reasons.

00:13:32.920 We know that's the truth.

00:13:35.060 My question to you, Kian, is that at the end of the day, when it comes to these quarantine hotels,

00:13:41.340 is this a political win or a political loss for the Justin Trudeau Liberals?

00:13:46.280 This is a huge, huge blow to Trudeau, and I think it's a blow in a way that he hasn't typically seen.

00:13:55.960 When it comes to SNC-Lavalin or the WE scam, those people who were sharing those stories and who were upset by it

00:14:02.560 were people who were already upset with Justin Trudeau and already knew that he was a corrupt insider politician.

00:14:09.540 The people who were upset about this travel ban and this hotel scam are his base.

00:14:16.620 You know, I'll refer to a tweet by Amanda Alarvo or whatever her name is.

00:14:21.880 She's this Liberal Party pundit, like the definition of a Liberal Party hack,

00:14:27.280 taking to Twitter to talk about how embarrassing Justin Trudeau is and how embarrassing this policy is, this scheme is.

00:14:34.940 That's his base. His base are people who travel, you know, these elites who go on vacation all the time.

00:14:41.380 That's his base.

00:14:42.300 And additionally, the people who are returning and going into these COVID hotels are people typically

00:14:48.100 who have dual citizenship and family in another country.

00:14:51.240 And you know what that means.

00:14:52.260 It's typically people from immigrants, basically, which, of course, are Justin Trudeau's base.

00:14:57.960 If you look at that video of people telling those hotel staff that they're not animals and they deserve lunch

00:15:04.420 and they deserve food, that was all minorities. 1.00

00:15:07.260 And that is a huge amount of people who formerly would have voted Justin Trudeau without a second thought.

00:15:13.060 But now that Justin Trudeau is getting between them and their family, getting between them and their freedom,

00:15:18.460 Justin Trudeau is going to have to answer the polls for this.

00:15:20.800 You know, I hope you're right, Kian.

00:15:21.920 But as we've seen in the past with the numerous scandals, Blackface, Gropegate, SNC-Lavalin,

00:15:28.140 this guy seems to be made of Teflon when it comes to anything sticking to him.

00:15:32.140 But time will tell, I suppose, in the next federal election.

00:15:35.620 Kian, great to see you back at home and out of that horrible hotel. 0.99

00:15:39.100 And thanks for weighing in regarding your experience.

00:15:42.200 No problem. Thanks, David.

00:15:43.700 And that was Kian Bexte in Calgary.

00:15:46.220 Keep it here, folks.

00:15:47.040 More of Rebel Roundup to come right after this.

00:15:51.920 Why don't you tell us what happened when things got even more scarier for you?

00:16:00.380 And you're saying somebody entered your room.

00:16:03.240 Yeah, that was the following day.

00:16:05.960 I had opened my door.

00:16:08.040 I did not walk out of my door.

00:16:10.000 I opened my door to get some attention for the bottle of water that I had asked for since yesterday

00:16:16.800 and then like a couple of hours before the situation.

00:16:19.000 And there was no one there except this guy across me waiting outside his door as well.

00:16:27.960 Like he was at the door as well.

00:16:30.140 Just looked like a normal guy my age, you know.

00:16:33.440 Just started talking about coronavirus.

00:16:35.940 I said, were you here against your own will?

00:16:37.860 Where do you come from?

00:16:38.800 You know, like, are you positive?

00:16:40.100 Did you test, you know?

00:16:41.300 Things like that. 0.99

00:16:41.840 And that's when he kind of switched the conversation to like, oh, it sucks. 0.83

00:16:45.860 Like, let's keep each other company. 0.69

00:16:47.520 Come into my room.

00:16:48.700 And obviously, I refused.

00:16:50.580 At first, it wasn't like so serious.

00:16:52.160 And I was like, haha, you know, I have a boyfriend.

00:16:54.000 Like, we can't do that anyways, you know?

00:16:55.420 Like, yeah, there's that.

00:16:57.140 And then I think the conversation just continued for like a little bit.

00:17:01.180 I tried to change the subject.

00:17:03.160 And he kind of just like let go of his door, which closes automatically, right?

00:17:06.820 And it takes him like two steps to get into my room.

00:17:09.120 Oh, wow.

00:17:09.600 So he kind of just like, my door was already open, right?

00:17:11.920 It was like leaning on me kind of thing.

00:17:13.320 So he kind of just like pushed it.

00:17:14.920 I moved a little bit out of the way.

00:17:17.040 And he just walked into my room.

00:17:21.380 The door automatically closed behind him.

00:17:23.340 I did not say, hey, enter my room and close the door.

00:17:25.700 No, it's a hotel door.

00:17:27.780 It closes once it's pushed, you know, and I move.

00:17:29.560 And so he made himself at home, then just started like touching me, asking me, like

00:17:36.760 cornering me in the bathroom, had pulled out a condom, had asked me to sleep with him 0.86

00:17:42.200 many times and pretty much begging me, telling me he hasn't had sexual intercourse in a really 0.65

00:17:48.300 long time, which is not anyways, I don't know.

00:17:53.760 And finally, I like kind of like moved him to get out of the bathroom.

00:17:59.240 And I like, I kept repeating myself, you need to get out.

00:18:02.480 And that's when I started videotaping because he was not getting out and I was scared and

00:18:05.640 I didn't know what to do.

00:18:07.260 So I started videotaping him secretly.

00:18:09.760 So you only kind of get the bottom view, but you hear everything.

00:18:13.500 He kept telling me like, oh, yeah, come on, like, just like trying to push me into all

00:18:19.360 this and I doesn't want to leave my room.

00:18:21.280 So that's when I kind of like escorted him to the front and he wasn't leaving.

00:18:25.180 He was behind me and he's like, I'll leave.

00:18:27.840 Like, if you make sure there's no security for like for me to get in trouble.

00:18:30.460 Right.

00:18:31.080 So I said, I'll do as you ask.

00:18:33.320 You know what I'm saying?

00:18:33.740 I open the door.

00:18:34.880 I look, whatever.

00:18:36.200 We hear some noise.

00:18:37.080 So I waited two seconds.

00:18:39.260 And then when I turned around, he was like, oh, I'm already turned on. 0.97

00:18:43.660 And he's looking at himself in the mirror like a psychopath. 0.97

00:18:45.800 Oh, God. 0.97

00:18:46.740 I'm already turned on.

00:18:48.020 I have a boner.

00:18:48.760 And then I was like getting more irritated, scared.

00:18:51.880 And I'm like, distance.

00:18:53.280 You need to get out like now, you know.

00:18:55.780 Wow.

00:18:56.300 What a downright terrifying story.

00:18:59.420 And if these allegations are indeed proven true, then what happened here is both egregious

00:19:06.800 and disgraceful.

00:19:08.560 And it raises a whole new raft of questions regarding how it could have even occurred in

00:19:15.340 the first place.

00:19:16.740 Joining us now for the latest chapter regarding yet another lotel quarantine.

00:19:22.240 And what an ugly chapter it is indeed, is Drea Humphrey. 1.00

00:19:26.980 Welcome to Rebel Roundup, Drea.

00:19:28.940 Hi, everyone.

00:19:30.000 So, Drea, before we get into the gist of this story, we had to blur the face of the victim

00:19:36.320 and give her a different name. 0.98

00:19:38.560 Because there's a publication ban on this story.

00:19:41.780 But if the alleged victim is willing to go on camera and be fully identified, why is there

00:19:48.600 a publication ban in the first place?

00:19:51.180 You know, that's a really good question.

00:19:52.920 I asked Sarah that and she wasn't sure why as well.

00:19:57.340 She's such a brave woman and she really wanted to get her story out to help prevent it from

00:20:04.040 happening to other people.

00:20:05.740 And she's not afraid of showing her face while she does that.

00:20:09.620 So, yeah, it's hard because there's so much going on and you don't know from one province

00:20:14.100 to the next what the rules are.

00:20:15.780 But it seems very peculiar to me that that's happening.

00:20:20.540 You know, Drea, I got to tell you, I mean, in the realm of publication bans, it used to

00:20:26.700 be so rare.

00:20:27.680 But now judges seem to be handing them out like candy at Halloween.

00:20:34.900 It's inexplicable, especially in a case like this one where the victim, the alleged victim

00:20:39.580 at least, is willing to go forward.

00:20:41.060 But enough about that.

00:20:42.980 Drea, that was a heck of a story she told.

00:20:45.420 This idea of the doors being, you know, unlockable or non-lockable, whatever the right word is,

00:20:53.440 whoever thought that would be a good idea, especially for, say, a single woman staying 0.63

00:20:58.580 in one of these suites?

00:21:00.520 I have no idea.

00:21:02.900 I mean, it's not safe for anyone to stay in a suite with a whole bunch of people and they

00:21:09.680 can somehow get into your room if they work there.

00:21:11.840 I mean, that's never been safe.

00:21:13.280 So who ordered that is such a good question.

00:21:17.720 And we even saw in another report that Yankee just did that it wasn't just her that that 1.00

00:21:23.020 was happening with, too.

00:21:24.180 There's sometimes there's rooms without locks and all of that.

00:21:27.740 You know, Drea, when I went out to one of the Toronto Airport hotels and at least I finally

00:21:33.860 got a manager to come on camera, although he really wasn't that good at providing tangible

00:21:40.840 answers.

00:21:41.340 One of my queries was who's doing the training and what kind of training are these security

00:21:47.720 people getting?

00:21:49.440 Because, again, if these allegations are true and we should stress nothing's been proven

00:21:53.620 in a court of law.

00:21:55.140 This would suggest to me that there's not a lot of screening going on.

00:21:59.800 And that's crazy because if you're a Boy Scout leader, if you're a hockey coach, you've got

00:22:04.740 to go through some screening.

00:22:06.020 You've got to make sure that you pass the criminal background check.

00:22:09.540 And I don't know if that's being done here.

00:22:12.560 I don't know if it is either.

00:22:14.580 And that's something that we're definitely going to have to get to the bottom of for sure.

00:22:18.580 And if anybody has the answers, but they're scared of letting us know, you know, we love

00:22:23.300 whistleblowers.

00:22:24.300 We're happy to work with you and keep you in confidence.

00:22:28.440 Yeah.

00:22:29.060 And, you know, the authorities should be given these answers.

00:22:31.600 I mean, I've gone to Public Safety Canada.

00:22:33.900 They deferred my calls to the Public Health Agency of Canada.

00:22:38.240 They've never gotten back in touch with me.

00:22:39.840 You phone that 1-800-Quarantine-Hotel line, Drea, I don't know anyone who has ever successfully

00:22:46.980 spoken to a human being there before being disconnected.

00:22:51.040 But, I mean, I think this is enough grist for the mill for the federal government to acquiesce

00:23:00.240 basically to what Michelle Rempel-Garner has been saying.

00:23:03.580 Shut this program down now because this is unacceptable.

00:23:07.440 Sexual assault in the name of we're protecting you?

00:23:12.280 Healthy and asymptomatic people at that. 0.97

00:23:15.240 And, yeah, what more do they need to make the right decision?

00:23:19.100 Like, who else is going to be hurt because of this?

00:23:22.000 You know, and that's a good point too.

00:23:23.940 And I would suggest as well that I wonder if someone could make a personal safety statement

00:23:31.020 in terms of, especially if you are a single woman going to one of these hotels and saying,

00:23:36.800 I'm sorry, based on what I've heard, I don't feel safe here.

00:23:42.060 I can quarantine for the 14 days at home.

00:23:45.420 Why am I in this hotel to begin with that doesn't even have locks on the doors?

00:23:49.880 I think that's a valid excuse or argument to say, I don't want to be here.

00:23:56.200 Yeah, actually, I have a report coming up with a woman who did just that. 1.00

00:24:01.860 So make sure you guys are subscribed.

00:24:04.360 But again, I mean, Kian, in a way, did that. 0.70

00:24:06.960 He went and then he left.

00:24:09.160 And what happened to her out here in Vancouver was a completely different experience than that.

00:24:14.640 So it just seems like nothing is organized.

00:24:17.160 Nothing has been thought through.

00:24:18.620 And, you know, that puts people at risk.

00:24:20.620 Yeah, it is amazing.

00:24:22.600 We're coming up on the one-year anniversary of the lockdowns going into effect.

00:24:28.180 And so they've had almost a year to think about these quarantine hotels.

00:24:32.080 And evidently for the federal government, that's not enough time.

00:24:35.460 Unbelievable.

00:24:36.520 But, you know, I want to see this next report of yours because what I see, Drea,

00:24:40.720 is the Public Health Agency of Canada using fear and intimidation tactics if you don't go to these hotels.

00:24:48.100 For example, you stand to be fined $1,800 per person per day if you don't go to the hotel.

00:24:56.300 And if you're found to be in breach of the Quarantine Act, you face a penalty of up to $750,000.

00:25:03.560 In other words, you're going to lose your house and six months in jail.

00:25:07.700 So these are the tactics, the economic penalization that is probably making people think otherwise of just hopping in an Uber and going home.

00:25:20.340 Well, of course.

00:25:21.340 I mean, it's quite frightening to hear those things.

00:25:23.980 But something that as a woman I was taught, I passed that down on to my daughter as well,

00:25:30.300 is if you're being kidnapped, you do everything you can to avoid going to the second location.

00:25:37.260 And I'm sorry, I am not going into some sort of facility.

00:25:40.220 That's how I am.

00:25:42.180 I will fight tooth and nail if I have to fight the fine or what have you and plead my case.

00:25:46.800 I will do that.

00:25:47.840 You know, talk to your lawyer if you're thinking of that.

00:25:50.540 But that's how I roll.

00:25:52.180 Yeah, 100 percent, Drea.

00:25:54.200 We'll wrap it here.

00:25:54.940 And I guess if we ever got Justin Trudeau to weigh in on this, I'm just wondering what he would say.

00:26:00.600 Oh, probably something like, well, she experienced it differently.

00:26:06.760 Exactly.

00:26:07.620 Oh, my God.

00:26:08.540 What a disgrace.

00:26:09.880 Well, Drea, thank you so much for a great report.

00:26:11.940 And I look forward to your next installment in the days ahead.

00:26:15.080 I just want to add one more thing to follow up on the story of the alleged assault.

00:26:20.140 We are officially representing Sarah now.

00:26:24.180 So if you are just as upset about what you heard there and you want to make a difference there,

00:26:29.080 please go to NoCovidJails.com and donate whatever you can.

00:26:33.500 So that will go directly towards her legal defense or whatever the right term is for that. 0.96

00:26:38.920 Wow, that is fantastic, Drea.

00:26:40.800 Thanks for reminding us about that.

00:26:42.360 And I can hardly wait to see the follow up on this story.

00:26:45.580 And there will be a follow up, won't there, my friend?

00:26:48.420 There will be.

00:26:49.260 Fantastic.

00:26:49.700 Okay, thank you so much, Drea.

00:26:51.600 Bye.

00:26:52.720 And that was Drea Humphrey in Vancouver.

00:26:55.940 Keep it here, folks.

00:26:57.000 More Rebel Roundup to come right after this.

00:27:04.120 David Menzies for Rebel News here in Sudbury, Ontario.

00:27:07.800 And I'm with Terry and Mike Bedard.

00:27:10.460 And folks, Mike, unfortunately, is suffering from cancer.

00:27:14.280 He works in the United States, in California.

00:27:16.740 He returned to Toronto last week.

00:27:20.880 The reason for him coming back to Canada was he had a very important appointment with his doctor regarding his cancer treatment.

00:27:29.780 And if you can imagine, thanks to these cockamamie quarantine rules, Mike was not only prevented from going to that medical appointment, he was put in one of those ratty Radisson hotels.

00:27:43.940 Folks, just wait till you hear this story.

00:27:46.660 You work as a lineman in Southern California.

00:27:49.560 You're unfortunately suffering from cancer.

00:27:53.020 You had to come back to Toronto last week.

00:27:57.400 And this is, I think, the timeline was Wednesday.

00:28:00.000 You had completed a COVID test on Saturday.

00:28:04.900 And it turned out negative.

00:28:06.780 And yet, when you arrived, when you landed in Toronto, and you were expected to being picked up by your wife to go to a regular hotel, what were you told?

00:28:17.860 I was told that my test was no longer valid because it was not within the 72 hours.

00:28:23.100 Obviously, we either read it wrong or they have to rewrite it, saying that the test has to be done in that 72 hours.

00:28:31.140 So, what I did is I did it on Saturday.

00:28:33.500 It took two to three days to get the results.

00:28:35.420 I got the results on Tuesday.

00:28:38.020 And I was on the flight Wednesday morning.

00:28:40.660 So, in other words, if you had the test done on Sunday, according to their math, you would have got the results on Wednesday.

00:28:46.760 And then everything would have been okay.

00:28:48.360 So, we're talking just the space of one day.

00:28:51.360 Correct.

00:28:51.720 Okay.

00:28:52.860 So, they were taking issue with the test.

00:28:56.600 And because they're not accepting the COVID test, Mike, they're saying to you, now you have to go to one of those lovely government quarantine hotels?

00:29:06.620 Correct.

00:29:07.380 And they escorted me there.

00:29:09.640 There was two people in a small van and they escorted me to that hotel.

00:29:14.260 But before that, they did make me do a COVID test at the airport.

00:29:17.180 Okay.

00:29:17.840 An additional COVID test.

00:29:19.020 And were those, I take it the results weren't immediately available, right?

00:29:22.400 No, they told me 24 to 48 hours.

00:29:26.420 And I did not get the results until Saturday, 10-ish.

00:29:31.960 And then they tell me it's going to take another 12 to 24 hours to get out because there's only one quarantine officer on duty to fill out the paperwork.

00:29:39.840 And I take it the hotel you were taken to was the infamous Radisson on 640 Dixon Road?

00:29:45.300 I believe it is the Radisson.

00:29:46.720 It's right by Tim Horton's shop.

00:29:48.280 Oh, okay.

00:29:48.740 That's definitely it.

00:29:49.500 And folks, you know this Radisson.

00:29:51.220 Radisson, I visited it before.

00:29:53.500 Well, I'm not visiting it, you know, the actual property because I've already got one trespass ticket.

00:29:58.720 But every Thursday at 4, Patriots show up to try to spring the inmates.

00:30:03.760 I mean the guests out of this Radisson.

00:30:05.720 Here's some previous footage.

00:30:07.100 Two negative tests before he returns.

00:30:11.500 So why are you pointing it?

00:30:16.020 Radisson!

00:30:17.660 We live in Canada!

00:30:19.820 We live in a free country!

00:30:23.960 I have just spoken to two people who have proven that they do not have COVID!

00:30:32.500 Why is it possible that they are being held against their will?

00:30:36.980 Well, folks, not only was Mike Bedard held against his will,

00:30:40.260 this essential worker also missed his doctor's appointment to have his cancer treated.

00:30:44.960 But I guess that was for his own safety and well-being too, right?

00:30:49.820 Unbelievable.

00:30:51.140 In any event, you had plenty to say about this man who received zero compassion,

00:30:56.140 but plenty of aggravation and disrespect from government workers and members of law enforcement,

00:31:02.220 and all for no good reason.

00:31:04.000 Paul Tompkins writes,

00:31:05.000 Well, thank God we have Rebel News giving us the truth.

00:31:07.820 Well, thank you, sir, but the real person you need to thank is Ezra Levent, the driving force behind this company.

00:31:14.540 Oh, and by the way, the local media outlet, Sudbury.com, they completely botched this story,

00:31:21.640 making it seem like Mike was the bad guy, if you can believe it.

00:31:25.840 Neil Kay writes, 0.91

00:31:28.160 Absolutely disgusting.

00:31:29.760 There should be a massive lawsuit filed against the Liberal government for what they're doing to Canadian citizens.

00:31:35.940 Oh, Neil, as sure as the sun sets in the West, those lawsuits are coming, my friend.

00:31:41.960 D-V-V-D-C-E-X-Y-V-N-U writes, 0.90

00:31:47.620 The Quarantine Act, with a stroke of a pen, we lose our rights.

00:31:52.020 Indeed, and the people dishing out this misery tend to be public health officials.

00:31:56.980 In other words, unelected, non-accountable bureaucrats earning high six-figure salaries. 0.50

00:32:04.100 One angry Canadian writes,

00:32:07.680 I actually just called Sudbury.com and spoke to a reporter.

00:32:11.460 I asked why they would not tell the whole story and why they didn't check the facts.

00:32:15.620 He said, why would they?

00:32:17.720 They printed what the police stated.

00:32:20.540 I said, and there is always two sides to the story and why they wouldn't check before they printed it.

00:32:27.240 I asked if they were going to print a retraction and he said no.

00:32:30.160 I told them they have screwed this poor fellow's life and they have been getting threats.

00:32:36.240 He didn't seem to care. 0.94

00:32:37.300 Well, one angry Canadian, I can tell you this. 1.00

00:32:40.220 The media release Sudbury.com printed from the Sudbury Police Service was also riddled with inaccuracies.

00:32:48.260 Talk about the blind leading the blind.

00:32:51.280 And Michael Jimenez writes,

00:32:53.340 Yes, Michael, that pretty much nails it when it comes to how the Justin Trudeau Liberals are completely mismanaging this pandemic.

00:33:12.160 Well, that wraps up another edition of Rebel Roundup.

00:33:15.400 Thanks so much for joining us.

00:33:16.740 See you next week.

00:33:17.440 And hey, folks, never forget, without risk, there can be no glory.

00:33:21.420 Good night.

00:33:23.340 Good night.
