Rebel News Podcast - DAVID MENZIES ｜ Chris Sky storms out of interview

00:00:00.000 we have always given you a platform we when we see allegations made i'm giving you in all fairness

00:00:06.600 time to respond to those and i did and you keep trying to and you keep trying to push the narrative

00:00:11.180 that i'm a denier and trying to push everything well six million jews were murdered is the biggest 0.60

00:00:16.820 lie created in the history that is why would you say that because six million people did not die

00:00:22.180 in the holocaust if six million many did then we have no idea of knowing from page news back in may

00:00:27.820 let me ask you point blank did you ever say that did you ever say that you wanted to kill

00:00:31.760 any politician no you're literally feeding every narrative that they're using to attack me right

00:00:38.800 now and you're playing into it so david i think i'm going to cut this interview with this and i

00:00:43.040 don't think i'm going to be talking to rebel news anymore really seriously yeah well okay well you

00:00:50.180 know bro if you were trying to give me a chance to refute it you wouldn't affect going into all the 0.96

00:00:54.260 ways that i was wrong you think i'm stupid like you're treating me like i'm a idiot david and i 0.96

00:00:58.580 actually had respect for you until today now i don't how did i say well it's been a frantic few 0.99

00:01:07.880 months for anti-lockdown crusader chris guy a man who is either beloved or hated depending on who you

00:01:15.220 talk to in any event there is so much to unpack when it comes to chris's recent cross canada speaking

00:01:23.160 trip so without further ado let's get a much needed update how are you doing chris i'm fantastic

00:01:30.280 absolutely well you're looking very healthy so glad to see you now i think i like i said there's so much

00:01:35.780 to unpack here um why don't we begin with the last time i saw you namely last week dominion day in

00:01:41.740 ottawa on the lawns of the supreme court um there was a kerfuffle that i was unaware of at the time

00:01:47.780 because i was interviewing uh maxine bernier the leader of the people's party of canada and literally

00:01:54.200 in the background i see uh in the footage that we captured some scuffling happening as i understand it

00:02:01.240 um you were supposed to speak at this event but others had other ideas what happened that day well

00:02:07.820 their narrative is that i was never invited to speak at the event i just showed up with my big ego and

00:02:13.840 decided to crash their event and take the speaking spots away from the poor nurses and other people 0.98

00:02:18.860 who had speaking spots and i was this big bad villain and they're just trying to save everybody

00:02:23.860 from me and try to save the movement for me because i'm going to destroy the whole anti-lockdown movement

00:02:28.340 now when you say reality when you say they just they is randy hillier the ppc all the politicians

00:02:33.840 all the politicians that are secretly trying to hijack the freedom movement and turn it into a failed and

00:02:39.420 irrelevant political campaign they don't want me to speak because my message is united non-compliance

00:02:45.160 it is and always has been it's the same thing gone to used to beat oppressive governments you simply

00:02:50.060 get the entire population together for a common good cause and for in this case it's take off your

00:02:55.960 mask open your business and that's it and the pandemic's over and you don't need a politician for

00:03:01.540 that you don't need an election for that and that's exactly why they didn't want me speaking

00:03:05.900 because they want you to need them if you don't need them if you don't give them your money and

00:03:10.220 your support they don't have a job they don't even exist and so they're trying to hijack this freedom

00:03:15.400 movement no more lockdowns is randy hillier's uh whatever organization they were throwing the event

00:03:22.140 in conjunction with a place called liberty coalition kelly ann wolf contacted them on my behalf

00:03:27.480 to verify that i would be able to speak there after i got notification from my lawyer that i was legally

00:03:32.480 allowed to they emailed back from the official no lockdown no more lockdowns email stating yes

00:03:39.260 chris is allowed to speak at the supreme court and i showed you that i told you i couldn't give it to

00:03:43.340 you and i'm not going to show it to anybody until two peters but i did show you that it exists so you

00:03:47.780 can confirm that i had an email stating that i was allowed to speak at the supreme court you saw it

00:03:52.340 i saw something i mean in this day and age of uh shenanigans online who knows but but chris the

00:03:58.240 bigger excuse me i'm gonna i'm gonna die back there did i not show you an email yes that said

00:04:04.860 chris was allowed to speak at the supreme court you did okay that's all i want to say but i'm just

00:04:08.720 not one of those technical uh fair persons that can verify well it will be there it'll be verified

00:04:13.960 because i will be giving the exact documents so the reality is but chris if i may interrupt go ahead

00:04:18.320 i find this a little sad and i'll tell you why whether you're mr hillier mr bernier pastor

00:04:25.480 hildebrandt yourself others you're all you all should be on the same page you you are all about

00:04:32.540 opening up the economy no we're not that's the problem we're not on the same page no they're on the 0.98

00:04:36.760 page where they want to turn the freedom movement which is simply people getting up off their ass 0.89

00:04:41.800 doing what they need to do to end this like take off their mask and open their business and they 0.85

00:04:45.940 want them to sit on their couch throw their money and their votes towards these politicians

00:04:50.500 wait for an election and then wait hopefully for their guy to win and then let that guy be the one

00:04:56.300 to tell them what to do that's the politicians thing and that's why they used me they invited me

00:05:01.580 to speak the same day i got the email that said i could speak a flyer went out with my name on it

00:05:06.320 they said it was on an unofficial flyer and it was i have a time-stamped email and i have time-stamped

00:05:12.080 showing when the flyer was posted and the flyer was created and posted after we got email

00:05:16.660 confirmation saying i was allowed to speak and then i promoted it on every single platform possible

00:05:21.360 so i brought a huge number of the people there so what do we have we have the politicians telling

00:05:26.400 me i can come speak we have me promoting the hell out of their event and me driving five hours to get

00:05:31.400 there and show up for the event then as soon as i got there i walked up to the stage and i politely asked

00:05:36.580 what time i would be speaking at because i was trying to coordinate a phone call with somebody in a

00:05:41.480 different country who wanted to record the event and one of the ppc members went up to me and said

00:05:46.440 oh well we and i said who's we and he declined to tell me who we was we had an internal risk

00:05:55.340 assessment and we decided it wasn't in our best interests to allow you to speak so instead we're

00:06:06.220 going to give you time at the end to do a shout out and then you can tell everybody to go to

00:06:11.300 parliament hill and you can speak there parliament hill wasn't in everyone wearing orange and anti

00:06:16.360 candidate event so obviously i didn't want to speak there obviously they knew i didn't want to

00:06:19.940 speak there so they basically invited me used me to promote their event and then set me up to

00:06:25.860 basically be cast aside so they could take my entire support base and transfer it from the freedom

00:06:31.260 movement into their own personal political campaign and then and then because i'm who i am and i fight

00:06:38.060 for freedom i fight for truth i fight for justice i fight for honor and i'm not going to let anybody take

00:06:43.080 advantage of me i stood up for myself and said you guys are the people's party right so why don't we

00:06:48.420 let the people decide if i should be allowed to speak and i said let me ask the people they said no

00:06:54.220 so the people's party didn't even want to allow me to ask the people for their opinion so i said guess

00:07:01.040 what now you don't have a choice i'm going to take that megaphone i'm going to walk up on the supreme

00:07:05.960 court steps i'm going to ask the audience if they want me to speak and when everybody says yes

00:07:10.620 i'm going to take over your event and then everyone's going to know you tried to silence me

00:07:14.860 and that's exactly what i did chris uh you said it yourself the e word ego as a neutral observer

00:07:20.940 that's kind of the vibe i'm getting i think we are witnessing in the anti-lockdown movement perhaps

00:07:27.980 a clash of egos it was ever thus when you have so many people vying to be the leader the spokesman

00:07:34.500 what have you this is what happens with that but i mean is that really what we're seeing what

00:07:39.200 we're seeing anti-lockdown movement what we're seeing now is that i'm starting to believe that

00:07:42.980 you might be part of this control opposition because you're trying to push their narrative

00:07:46.380 and you're trying to pretend like the truth doesn't matter it has nothing to do with ego

00:07:50.020 if somebody if i invited excuse me if i invited you to speak somewhere if i invited you to speak

00:07:55.500 somewhere that's an allegation because i'm saying what you just said if i invited you to speak

00:07:59.540 somewhere i have documented evidence and then you got there and i tried to tell you you weren't going

00:08:03.100 to speak and you stood up for yourself because that's what's right and that's what's true

00:08:06.880 am i going to say that that's your ego talking or i'm going to say you're just somebody who's

00:08:10.960 standing up for what's right well first of all it was just my observation and i can that's an

00:08:14.800 observation people can control that's an observation that's an observation people can

00:08:18.620 make without having the facts i just gave you the facts i even showed you the evidence and you

00:08:22.520 still brought up the exact same narrative that every single opposition person has been saying

00:08:28.260 trying to push the ego they push the ego thing and you just pushed it after we got documented

00:08:32.920 evidence and i just laid out exactly what happened so i i don't know now well um let's move on from

00:08:39.220 july 1st of course from page news back in may there there's the chris guy story and the massacre chris

00:08:45.940 guy allegedly threatened to kill ontario leader than all other premiers chris that that was a bombshell

00:08:53.940 story uh the man making the allegations rob carbone and that's and that's the only evidence they have

00:08:59.960 by the way allegations from somebody so that's the equivalent of me calling the police right now and

00:09:04.620 saying dave menzies wants to kill doug ford well first of all let me ask you point blank did you

00:09:10.980 ever say that did you ever say that you wanted to kill any politician no okay so now the other part of

00:09:17.560 this is you know uh rob carbone who he and you were buddy buddy for so many months i can tell you

00:09:24.440 exactly what happened with rob carbone in about five seconds and clear everything up rob carbone

00:09:28.200 presented himself as canada's donald trump he came across he presented himself with someone that

00:09:32.700 had international banking ties he had me putting contact with banking people around the world he

00:09:37.420 presented me with these bank bonds that on face value when checked out appeared to be real even

00:09:42.140 when verified by multiple uh multiple agencies that verify these kind of things however when it came down

00:09:48.420 to the actual paperwork for these things nobody could verify the paperwork so they were obviously

00:09:52.540 fraudulent in some way because they could not be used that was just part of the problem rob

00:09:57.280 lied about virtually everything he tried to hire a campaign team to register the republican party

00:10:02.300 and after about five weeks of working with these people they came to me and they confessed none of

00:10:06.860 them had been paying a dollar then his website i said he hadn't been paid then his merch guy told me

00:10:11.120 he hadn't been paid then i saw the notification that he hadn't even paid his friggin rent this is a

00:10:16.220 supposed billionaire that's going to run the country and save the country and he scammed a multiple

00:10:21.020 people for money and then when i found out that he committed fraud and i had actual evidence of a

00:10:26.080 retiree wire transferring fifteen thousand dollars to rob carbone from his why from his thing to rob's

00:10:32.680 thing and all the correspondence of rob coercing this man to do so for an investment that doesn't

00:10:38.060 even exist i came to rob and said rob not only did you not pay anybody that you were supposed to pay

00:10:43.200 now i find out you can't pay your rent and you're taking people's money for investments that don't

00:10:47.680 exist that's called fraud so so i'm not going to get in trouble for you i'm going to have to report

00:10:52.540 this and then within two days rob called the police and said oh my god chris is threatening

00:10:58.200 to kill me chris is threatening to kill doug ford and everybody else come get him quick and his 0.90

00:11:02.900 allegations and the story of course is that you wanted money from him oh yeah off the taps and 0.94

00:11:08.220 turned off the taps yeah he can't even pay his rent he turned off the taps good luck buddy and i have a

00:11:13.080 billionaire but i'm renting a condo okay anyway guys who exactly is rob carbone then chris i mean 0.56

00:11:19.000 you know there are allegations he's a liar and a fraud and i'm pretty sure easily and i would say

00:11:23.640 he's an informant with the police and i'll say that because of the way i was arrested because the way i

00:11:28.460 was arrested they lie in the media and say they came to my house and that uh i jumped in a car and

00:11:33.760 ran ran away from them and tried to run police officers over that's the allegations that they put in

00:11:37.900 all these newspapers that i saw reality check reality was i was driving to the gym i was on keel

00:11:44.240 street heading westbound from king road on a normal public road driving normally when a completely

00:11:52.280 innocuous gray sedan completely unmarked completely unidentified drove by me on the left-hand side

00:11:59.900 nobody identified themselves there was no markings on the vehicle or the occupants in the car

00:12:05.200 and when they passed me they got in front of me and they slammed on their brakes and as soon as

00:12:11.040 they slammed on their brakes i had to actually stop in the middle of the road on keel street heading

00:12:15.920 westbound and as soon as i stopped in the middle of the road two men not wearing uniforms in black

00:12:22.560 masks covering their face with guns drawn in their hands start running at my car like it's a colombian 0.55

00:12:30.360 drug cartel kidnapping and i'm somebody that gets death threats virtually every single day so what

00:12:36.440 would you or anybody with a brain in this situation do and what they acknowledge i did i put my truck in

00:12:43.300 reverse created a safe amount of distance put it in drive and drove around the two unidentified

00:12:49.840 assailants to get away that's what i did all of a sudden that got turned into i tried to run over a

00:12:56.280 police officer or assault with a deadly weapon on police out everything here is politically motivated

00:13:01.160 it was timed to coincide with my i was supposed to leave the next day for a tour and to launch my book

00:13:08.400 in canton in vancouver and coincidentally i get arrested the very night before and they put all

00:13:14.960 these conditions on me to try to prevent me i can't drive i can't fly i had to be with my bail surety

00:13:20.220 they got a warrant to go to my house and take all my legally owned firearms all based on the hearsay

00:13:27.500 of somebody making a phone call to the police and saying i said something chris uh switching gears

00:13:33.140 again moving on to the weird world of social media and i have to bring this up because it's a thing

00:13:38.000 we even get questions why do you give chris guy the time of day given that he is a holocaust denier and

00:13:46.860 i am not a holocaust denier i have been to the concentration camps how many of you so-called

00:13:52.720 holocaust proponents have actually gone to germany spent hours on a train hours more on a bus and then

00:13:59.500 hours more exploring saxon housing concentration camp i saw where they kept the jewish people i saw

00:14:05.620 where they kept the non-jewish people the only thing i've said about the holocaust is when they tell 0.94

00:14:11.080 you six million people died they that's a biblical reference and it's about fulfilling a prophecy for 0.69

00:14:17.520 the jews to come home to their homeland and they've used that reference multiple times in media well

00:14:24.840 before world war ii going back all the way to the early 1900s so that is not holocaust denial and the

00:14:31.700 only other thing i said about world war ii that people try to criticize is yes we know jews people

00:14:37.720 were persecuted we know they were killed and it's horrible but so were 30 million other people during

00:14:45.000 world war ii so we need to remember everybody and when i said we need to remember everybody

00:14:49.840 they're like oh my god you're a holocaust denier it's like when someone says all lives matter and

00:14:54.480 then someone screams oh that means you mean black lives don't matter no that's not what it means at

00:14:59.020 all so anyway that's complete bull well chris because the internet is forever i mean some of those posts

00:15:04.880 from years ago have been republished here's one uh quote six million jews were murdered is the

00:15:11.280 biggest lie created in the history of fake jew history end quote that is why would you say that 0.55

00:15:17.160 because six million people did not die in the holocaust if six million many did then we have no idea of

00:15:22.540 knowing but for them to claim an exact number when it's completely impossible of knowing it's completely

00:15:27.740 impossible of knowing and there's lots of there's lots of different references like the world almanac

00:15:32.800 that show the population before and after when israel was created between 1946 and 1948 with all the

00:15:39.800 stuff that was going on millions of jewish people habitated to there so six million people didn't

00:15:46.340 just die they relocated so when they say six million people like i said it's making reference to their

00:15:53.940 biblical prophecy that says once six million of us perish we will get our homeland back so that's why they 1.00

00:16:00.580 chose the number of six million because it's written in their book there is no way of knowing how many

00:16:06.060 people died in world war ii for someone to go and say 32 million people died in world war ii that's

00:16:10.720 complete hogwash so for someone to be able to go and say especially in concentration camps that this

00:16:17.420 many people died a specific number that's complete hogwash there's no way of knowing how many people died

00:16:22.460 well i would do we know they were persecuted i would just one million percent that's indisputable

00:16:26.440 do we know they killed a very large number of people probably in the millions yes do we know

00:16:33.100 that they killed six million on the dot or six million that number no and nobody can prove that

00:16:37.940 and that's what i am saying well chris have you ever reached out to yad vashem the holocaust

00:16:42.580 remembrance center in jerusalem who has done incredible decades worth of research i mean i've been there

00:16:48.780 several times uh i remember a curator once saying when they had the original number it was 18 million

00:16:53.840 and then they wanted to be bulletproof so they went through the records over and over and sometimes

00:16:59.220 people were double triple uh counted and they whittled it down to six million now if you had an

00:17:04.400 agenda to make the holocaust look worse you would have gone with the 18 million okay but so have you 0.98

00:17:08.600 ever reached out to the experts in the field okay so the experts first said there were 18 million and

00:17:14.140 then the experts then said there were six million so were they right when they said they wanted to be

00:17:18.400 bulletproof oh so they wanted to so now because they said they're really really sure that means

00:17:23.100 they're 100 the first it was 18 million that's triple the number now they're really sure that

00:17:28.980 it was six million does that mean they're 100 sure explain excuse me some people were counted three or

00:17:34.240 four times that's wonderful so does that mean that they missed any more that could have been double

00:17:37.960 counted or some people that were counted that weren't really dead does that mean that the six

00:17:41.500 million number that they came up with is 100 can you tell me can we contact them right now and

00:17:45.640 they're going to say the six million number is 100 or will they say it's an estimation will they say

00:17:50.000 it's our best estimate well you know uh chris it's i asked you a question will they say it's

00:17:54.260 a hundred percent or will they say it's an estimation when their previous estimation was

00:17:58.520 18 million they believe this is the most accurate figure okay they believe they believe they believe

00:18:04.160 so it's not a figure it's something that they're literally making up like i said and they're saying

00:18:09.020 this is our best guess but but a guess is still a guess a guess is still something you made up so

00:18:13.880 when you quote me and say the you're denying the experts the experts themselves are telling you

00:18:19.160 this is a number that we're making up based on the information we have available based on the

00:18:25.760 information we had available we thought it was 18 million now we're guessing it's six million so

00:18:30.760 that's all i'm saying it's doing decades and decades worth of research that's wonderful

00:18:35.200 you can say whatever you want regardless you admitted that it's their best guess well i didn't say

00:18:41.800 guess i their best belief sorry a belief is still a guess well i i think based on decades worth of

00:18:47.620 scholarly and now i'm 100 sure that you guys have changed your stripes because this started about an

00:18:53.040 interview about anti-lockdown and it turned into let's assassinate the character of chris sky and try

00:18:58.640 to make the jewish community not like him when i have very high support from the jewish community

00:19:02.960 because some of my best friends are jewish no no i know exactly what's going on now david and now i know

00:19:07.520 i didn't get contact with rebel news for a couple months and now i also know why you guys got

00:19:11.780 demonetized off of youtube and you lost all your income yet somehow you started hiring all these

00:19:17.400 new people and somehow your station keeps growing and now when i go on your feeds on twitter and stuff

00:19:21.740 it reads more like a mainstream media platform instead of the rebel news of old well you guys

00:19:26.180 are starting to disappoint me david no chris listen we and i hope you don't edit this out to make it look

00:19:30.920 at to make it uh to try to make this actually uh this attack on me and my organization it's not an

00:19:36.300 attack it's just an observation if i may speak if i may speak um we have always given you a platform

00:19:41.520 we when we see allegations made i'm giving you in all fairness time to respond to those and i did and

00:19:48.620 you keep trying to and you keep trying to push the narrative that i'm a denier and trying to push

00:19:52.300 everything you even tried to push the narrative that it didn't matter that they lied about ottawa

00:19:56.180 you tried to pretend like i didn't show you an email you said oh it could have been anything

00:19:59.520 you're literally feeding every narrative that they're using to attack me right now

00:20:05.340 and you're playing into it so david i think i'm going to cut this interview at this and i don't

00:20:09.380 think i'm going to be talking to rebel news anymore really seriously yeah well have a nice day david

00:20:14.780 okay well you know what can i say folks we were trying to give uh chris an opportunity to refute some

00:20:23.060 of these allegations um some of these social media media postings that have been made by him

00:20:29.940 and um i guess he didn't want to uh pursue that i had many more questions and many more directions to

00:20:37.260 go on this i'm sorry that uh chris has taken such a stance as this but maybe with the passage of time

00:20:45.360 uh he will come back we'll see yeah you guys just got motto and now you guys have to do certain

00:20:52.520 things like trying to make you look sad it's okay though have a nice day

00:20:56.460 sorry you guys probably won't be seeing me anymore because it's not worth it i thought it was important

00:21:04.540 to address this because we receive um feedback from viewers saying how do you give a holocaust denier

00:21:14.880 a platform and i just wanted to find out what his side of the story was but uh i guess i'm off

00:21:21.700 chris guy's christmas card list it's too bad because i had a lot more questions to ask him

00:21:26.740 and the thing is we're not on anyone's team as a journalistic organization we're kind of like the

00:21:33.560 umpire folks behind home plate we're calling balls and strikes and um listen just like a ref calling

00:21:39.960 offside when you see something that is offside um you gotta raise it especially since it has been

00:21:47.380 raised in the popular media and um he could have had a i was giving an opportunity to refute that or

00:21:55.340 maybe to have a different opinion on this but chris chose to leave so there you have it unfortunate

00:22:03.920 especially in concentration caps that this many people the Nazis were pretty methodical they did 0.76

00:22:10.040 oh yeah i was trying to make them say that Nazis were great record speakers i felt that because

00:22:16.120 we are generally sympathetic to him we would be a good forum for him to say oh that thing i wrote 0.93

00:22:24.800 years ago well i was just a hothead or i was stupid but i just watched the tape of you having an 0.55

00:22:31.600 argue-bargue with him and he he sort of doubled down and then he stormed out what do you make of

00:22:36.200 that whole thing yeah i like you ezra i i like chris um he's larger than life uh he's he's almost a

00:22:43.360 cartoon figure i say that in a good way um he's great on camera and what the situation we're in

00:22:50.940 is we've had emails i've had emails personally sent to me saying how can you give a holocaust denier

00:22:57.920 a platform how can you not even have the gonads to address these odious views and you know what

00:23:04.620 they're right the if the you know first of all i wanted to find out if he was the author of these

00:23:09.500 posts he doesn't deny it secondly like you i was hoping to hear you know what uh i was on a rant uh

00:23:16.100 i i it was late at night and i was knee-breathed what what what have you um but no he was doubling

00:23:21.840 down on it and and and i mean when you look at you know the words in his own words uh ezra you

00:23:28.480 know six million being the biggest lie in the history of fake jewish history what does that even 0.89

00:23:35.220 mean who's writing the fake yeah and i didn't understand what he was saying about the jews

00:23:39.520 in their book and six million i don't know what book that is i mean i don't read all the jewish books

00:23:43.520 but i don't know what that is you know what i think let me tell you what i think happened when you

00:23:47.560 know one of the things i like the best about chris sky and one of the reasons he's been so successful

00:23:51.900 is he's so stubborn he does not be pushed back and that stubbornness which is probably

00:24:02.380 other than his it's a form of audacity so just like he won't wear a mask no matter what just like he

00:24:10.300 won't go to a quarantine hotel no matter what just like he won't you know social distance no matter

00:24:16.140 what because he has such a sense of personal resolve when you ask him these questions and i

00:24:22.780 saw you ask them you put them in the gentlest way you could put such spicy comments by him i think that

00:24:30.940 pricked that part of his brain that says push back don't give an inch yeah no i agree and i mean there

00:24:36.100 were other comments we never got to them of course because he left but um you know comments that could

00:24:40.800 be looked upon as being anti-black anti-muslim anti-gay and um and and maybe uh his opinion has

00:24:48.440 changed you know in uh four or five six years however old these posts are as well but you know

00:24:53.680 what's important i think our role here we're not cheerleaders uh for anybody we're kind of like the

00:25:00.520 umpire behind home plate we're calling balls and strikes if it's a hockey analogy where the linesman

00:25:06.220 saying on side off side and sometimes you know i really didn't want to raise this because i like

00:25:12.100 chris guy so much but it's a piece of ugliness i think look i'm not jewish myself but i i think um

00:25:19.520 you know what he said uh would be deeply offensive uh to the jewish community and it and and it wasn't

00:25:26.580 the only thing and by the way as an important thing this was not a gotcha moment several weeks ago i had

00:25:31.620 a phone conversation must have been over 20 minutes on this very subject who you were talking

00:25:36.380 about absolutely and we also talked about the alleged death threats he's made to um doug ford

00:25:42.620 and other premiers this is on the basis of rob carbone nothing has been proven in a court of law

00:25:47.240 chris of course denies it but there were so many things to unpack over the last couple months

00:25:52.660 and when he said your first sit down with him in a while yeah i mean i would have interviewed him

00:25:57.540 in ottawa but after his speech he literally ran for the hills because uh he thought he was about

00:26:03.280 to be arrested by the ottawa police i think one of the reasons why people trust rebel news

00:26:07.820 so very deeply and to answer chris guy's comment about the money our funding is 80 crowdfunding you

00:26:14.500 know that that's the only way we survive is our trust that's right the reason people trust us

00:26:20.220 is because i mean doug ford sat in this very chair here oh yeah doug ford spoke at our rebel live

00:26:25.660 conference a few years ago people trust us because when doug ford goes off course we criticize him

00:26:32.040 jason kenny and i were we're very close friends back in the day but i have to be honest with my

00:26:37.540 viewers and say he's doing things that are very wrong and i would criticize him if it was rachel

00:26:41.920 notley the reason people trust us i believe david and you in particular you're very authentic

00:26:47.620 is because we call it like we see we follow the facts where they lead we tell the other side of the

00:26:51.840 story and i like chris sky i don't like what he said on those social media posts i think it was 0.93

00:26:57.420 stupid i actually don't think he's a racist in his bones maybe he is deep in his heart i don't know 0.84

00:27:03.640 we gave him a chance to deal with these in a non-gotcha way you are the friendliest journalist 1.00

00:27:10.300 in canada towards him there's no two ways about it well you know and ezra on the let me just close

00:27:15.060 by saying yes our job is not to be his cheerleader our job is to tell the story but we're not

00:27:19.540 his we're not like in the you know those motorcycles that have a little jump seat we're

00:27:24.060 not the little buddy in the jump seat chris sky will likely remain a newsmaker and i'm sure you

00:27:28.380 will continue to cover it he may not even like that but so what we cover people who don't like

00:27:33.100 us all the time 100 and one thing if chris guy is watching this uh all i have to say is uh my door

00:27:38.960 is open uh you can email me phone me um you know it maybe there's some kind of reconciliation

00:27:45.260 here um but uh it's too bad he stormed away i had so many other important questions to ask about the

00:27:52.600 lockdowns in general but all i was trying to do as you said was not to ambush chris guy because we had

00:27:58.800 talked about this on the phone but to give him a platform to you know clear the air to and

00:28:05.160 unfortunately didn't go so well you know when some you lose i have a terrible joke that i sometimes tell

00:28:10.720 my wife which is i apologize once a year whether i need to or not and uh the joke of course being

00:28:16.980 of course we do things that that are much more frequently than once a year and and it's not in

00:28:22.780 chris guy's nature to ever admit defeat or that he did something wrong that's why he's such a good 0.99

00:28:28.380 fighter but i think on these stupid internet holocaust comments they were so dumb and he's digging in 0.98

00:28:35.640 on them as if it's a enormous point of principle to save them i don't even think he i don't know if 1.00

00:28:40.520 he means it i don't know what's in his heart but i think it was a stupid thing for him to storm out

00:28:44.840 of here on i think you're right he should have reconciled i'm going to continue to watch his

00:28:48.480 antics because he's such an interesting newsmaker i agree well he said he's off to sudbury uh so i'll

00:28:54.400 we'll see how that goes and yet it's another i guess cautionary tale isn't it ezra the old saying

00:29:00.020 the internet is forever you might post things that have gone back years and years that you've

00:29:05.280 even forgotten about but your enemies out there will search those up will use your words to discredit

00:29:12.160 you if they get the chance i i know how you feel about twitter well let me let me close with one

00:29:18.840 thought here and and again i'm trying to i'm doing too much amateur psychoanalysis why was chris so mad

00:29:24.840 it's not because this was an ambush you've talked to him about it before it's not because you were

00:29:28.940 unfair you you put the questions gently uh partly it's because he's a stubborn guy which is what we

00:29:34.460 like about him but i think the reason why chris guy stormed out of here is because he deeply loves

00:29:41.600 your reporting and rebel news because we have been his most um uh frequent and fair journalists

00:29:53.860 and so i think he feels like he has a breach with us on this issue and i think that causes him some

00:30:00.180 pain because he has loved uh the fact that we've reported on him so in in a in a strange way you

00:30:07.640 know the opposite of um love isn't it the opposite of love isn't hate the opposite of love is complete

00:30:17.160 coldness i actually don't think he's a jew hater i just don't think he is you know that's good enough

00:30:21.500 for me and i never called him that i know you didn't i just i just don't think he is okay but 0.96

00:30:25.800 he just won't he just won't say i don't know that's a stupid thing yeah what a shame all right i'll 0.64

00:30:29.900 let go because you're great journalism here i'll get out of the way thank you that's right 0.97
