00:01:14.420 Welcome to Rebel Roundup, ladies and gentlemen, and the rest of you,

00:01:32.500 in which we look back at some of the very best commentaries of the week by your favorite Rebels.

00:01:37.400 I'm your host, David Menzies.

00:01:39.220 Not again.

00:01:41.020 We caught the government lying.

00:01:42.760 Yes, again.

00:01:44.080 When it comes to Justin Trudeau's jet-setting ways.

00:01:47.980 So much for all that promised transparency.

00:01:51.300 And yet again, another example of Justin's leadership motto being,

00:01:56.080 Do as I say, not as I do.

00:01:58.200 Just will you hear what Sheila Gunn-Reed has to say about this egregious cover-up. 0.98

00:02:03.880 Remember how frontline workers like firefighters used to be lauded as heroes?

00:02:10.280 Well, that was a couple of months ago before the mandatory vaccine passports.

00:02:15.280 Now these heroes are zeros if they don't reveal their vax status or refuse to take the jabs.

00:02:22.520 Lincoln Jay will join me to chronicle a Toronto firefighter who is now suspended without pay

00:02:28.580 thanks to embracing medical privacy.

00:02:32.120 Shameful.

00:02:32.600 And letters, we get your letters.

00:02:34.900 We get them every minute of every day.

00:02:36.660 And you had plenty to say regarding my report on Dave Chappelle coming to Toronto's Scotiabank Arena

00:02:42.460 for a sold-out show on Monday.

00:02:44.960 But not everybody was happy. 0.77

00:02:47.500 The lunatic fringe of Toronto's transgender community had an online temper tantrum.

00:02:53.480 And of course, Pride Toronto condemned Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment for providing the venue. 0.88

00:02:58.860 But these social justice spirit unicorns failed to cancel the comedian.

00:03:04.640 And the show did go ahead as scheduled.

00:03:07.660 Here's your final score, sports fans.

00:03:10.000 Dave Chappelle, one.

00:03:11.660 Hogtown's cancel culture mob, zero.

00:03:15.200 Those are your rebels.

00:03:16.500 Now let's round them up.

00:03:17.800 Now normally I don't care about the government using the government jets to get around when they must.

00:03:29.740 But these are the same people who tell me that we're in some sort of climate change emergency

00:03:34.160 and so we should all become unemployed in the oil patch.

00:03:37.000 And I don't understand why the liberals and their public sector bureaucrat enablers insist on being totally wrong

00:03:42.780 or totally inept or purposefully misleading so shamelessly about the use of the jets

00:03:47.280 and why and when they're being used. 0.97

00:03:49.920 Because we keep catching them in this nonsense with their own paperwork.

00:03:55.200 Now the other day I showed you documents where the Department of National Defense told us

00:04:01.740 there were no Challenger jet records for December 2020 when we filed for access to them.

00:04:09.740 But then, four months later, the Department of National Defense told the House of Commons

00:04:14.940 another thing in an order paper response.

00:04:17.880 They said the Minister of National Defense had used the Challenger himself on December 18, 2020.

00:04:26.040 Now, you see, they could probably mislead access filers like us and get away with it.

00:04:31.980 But they couldn't lie to the House of Commons.

00:04:34.920 Well, these half-truth tellers in the D&D are back at it once again misleading us about the use of the Challenger.

00:04:43.220 We filed for the July 2021 Challenger flight records.

00:04:47.420 And yet, the Department of National Defense told us there just weren't any flight records.

00:04:52.980 No flights at all.

00:04:54.340 I guess Trudeau and the gang were, you know, staying home to stay safe.

00:04:58.800 Yeah, right.

00:04:59.980 Do you know why we filed for those exact flight records?

00:05:04.420 Because the Prime Minister's travel was widely reported in the mainstream media.

00:05:11.080 We know he traveled.

00:05:12.240 We know how he got there.

00:05:14.820 Just look at this.

00:05:15.920 Here's a video of Trudeau in Saskatchewan on July 6th.

00:05:20.520 Trudeau is speaking at the Cowess Nest First Nation.

00:05:23.620 Later today, I'll be visiting the site of unmarked graves to pay my respects

00:05:27.880 and sitting down with many of you to hear your stories as survivors.

00:05:32.680 And then, here's Trudeau meeting with Calgary Mayor Naheed Nenshi,

00:05:36.720 re-announcing and, of course, naturally taking credit for funding promised years ago

00:05:41.560 by Stephen Harper for a public transit initiative.

00:05:46.060 So, we sent the DND Trudeau's itinerary on July 6th.

00:05:51.140 And 7th, on July 6th, we know Trudeau was at the Museum of History in Gatineau, Quebec.

00:05:55.820 And then he flew to Saskatchewan and met with Saskatchewan Premier Scott Moe at the Cowess Nest First Nation

00:06:02.560 at a powwow that was taking place.

00:06:04.900 And then, July 7th, Trudeau was in Calgary.

00:06:08.760 And, frankly, he did an unusual amount of what we might loosely call work.

00:06:14.700 He did a radio show at 8.30 in the morning.

00:06:16.760 Then he was at a small business later on in the morning.

00:06:19.540 Then he met with Premier Jason Kenney.

00:06:22.120 And then he met, as we already showed you, outgoing Mayor Naheed Nenshi.

00:06:26.500 There were media at all of these things reporting it all

00:06:29.960 because that's what the media in Canada does.

00:06:32.080 They just follow Justin Trudeau around like puppies.

00:06:34.940 And yet, the weird misleaders in the DND bureaucracy

00:06:38.720 thought they could, I guess, get away with denying those records exist

00:06:43.740 for a widely reported trip.

00:06:46.280 Why?

00:06:47.060 What's the point?

00:06:48.140 Do they not like us here at Rebel News?

00:06:49.700 I think I'll survive.

00:06:51.340 Do they think the public shouldn't know these things?

00:06:54.180 Or is this some sort of pathology?

00:06:56.360 I mean, who else are they misleading?

00:07:00.440 And about what?

00:07:02.080 Now, the response by the DND to our fact check of them

00:07:05.980 with the Prime Minister's own itinerary?

00:07:09.560 Oh, it must be some sort of administrative error.

00:07:13.660 I guess, if that's what we call a pattern of not telling the whole truth,

00:07:19.000 I suppose.

00:07:20.300 Would they call a paperwork problem, an administrative oopsie-daisy?

00:07:25.060 I would call a pattern of lies.

00:07:28.960 But what do I know?

00:07:29.860 I'm just some woman.

00:07:30.780 So, as you know, I could be experiencing this stuff differently,

00:07:34.940 as Justin Trudeau might put it, to excuse away general bad behavior.

00:07:39.900 Wow. 1.00

00:07:40.900 Talk about liar, liar, pants on fire. 0.99

00:07:44.020 And in the case of the polyester slacks Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is wearing these days, 0.98

00:07:49.360 we're talking a five-alarm towering inferno.

00:07:53.020 As for his lackeys in the bureaucracy, oh, ho-hum, another day, another administrative error.

00:08:02.600 Say, why do so many of these bumbling bureaucrats still have jobs to begin with? 1.00

00:08:07.680 Oh, yeah, I forgot.

00:08:09.840 The ones who are still gainfully employed in Ottawa are double-vaxxed, and they have a pulse.

00:08:16.880 That seems to be the benchmark for a federal government bureaucrat these days.

00:08:21.740 And joining me now for more on a story that is downright infuriating is our chief reporter,

00:08:29.340 Sheila Gunn-Reed.

00:08:30.360 Hey, Sheila, how are you?

00:08:32.380 I'm great, David.

00:08:33.540 Thanks for having me on the show.

00:08:34.860 It's always a pleasure.

00:08:35.920 Sheila, here's the issue.

00:08:38.700 When we are constantly lied to, that destroys, I think, the, you know, credibility of this

00:08:47.060 government.

00:08:47.560 Then again, given the number of scandals that can be attributed to this government over

00:08:53.820 the past six years, does anyone who is part of Team Trudeau even care about credibility

00:09:00.940 anymore?

00:09:02.560 Is this a trick question?

00:09:05.920 No, of course these people don't care about credibility.

00:09:11.060 I mean, every time I get a piece of paper back from this government, it smells like a

00:09:15.380 smoldering pile of cotton dockers. 0.99

00:09:18.060 Everybody knows their own life.

00:09:19.700 And sometimes I don't know who I'm being lied to right at that moment.

00:09:25.160 But sometimes I know I'm filing for records on a flight that you guys reported in the media.

00:09:31.760 So I know it exists, but lying to me.

00:09:34.480 And they just don't care.

00:09:36.120 They just say, oh, there's nothing, or oh, sorry, even though we said there's nothing,

00:09:44.000 I guess there is something because you just sent me the CBC article in the prime minister's

00:09:48.060 itinerary of the day saying that he did have a flight.

00:09:52.780 And then they just say it's an administrative error, which is an interesting way of saying

00:09:57.140 pattern of lies.

00:09:58.040 You know, Sheila, here's my question.

00:10:01.140 It's pure speculation, but I wonder how deep the rod is.

00:10:04.680 And by that, I mean, do you think Justin Trudeau tells the bureaucrats, by the way, if non-paid

00:10:10.480 off media phone about certain sensitive travel documents don't tell them the truth, or is

00:10:17.500 the bureaucracy so conditioned now to, you know, cover for this lying liar that they just

00:10:24.220 take it upon themselves to be difficult with the information that we are entitled to get

00:10:29.480 our hands on and see what's what?

00:10:32.460 I think six of one, half a dozen of another.

00:10:35.760 There are some people who, they've got orders from somebody to tell them, do not give out this

00:10:44.960 information to this group, but there are some other that are others that are just well-trained

00:10:52.300 and they see tone and tenor of this administration and they see how Justin Trudeau lies and lies

00:10:59.200 and not just gets away with it, gets reelected.

00:11:03.060 And so they know that this is the tone by which they can conduct business in the federal government

00:11:09.320 and completely get away with it.

00:11:11.140 In the third part of this video series about the Challenger manifest, we discovered where

00:11:18.780 the Barbados flight actually went over Christmas last year.

00:11:23.140 And there was no need to lie about it.

00:11:26.000 But they just decided we're going to lie anyway.

00:11:29.720 And we have it in writing where they say, if someone files for ATI, access to information,

00:11:36.560 we are going to say there's nothing significant to report.

00:11:41.180 I don't, but that's not how it works.

00:11:44.360 If I ask you a question, you give me the information and I'll decide if the information you're giving

00:11:49.000 me is not significant.

00:11:50.860 Just give me the information.

00:11:52.440 But when they lie and hide information from people, it creates conspiracy theories because

00:11:58.480 then people start filling in the blanks.

00:12:00.620 And who could blame them?

00:12:01.820 Because all the government does is lie to you these days.

00:12:04.420 And you know, Sheila, I think back to last December, our Ottawa friend Guy Annabelle reached

00:12:11.800 out to us.

00:12:12.500 He was doing tracking of flights in real time.

00:12:16.840 And yeah, and I mean, what he alleged, it's now all come true, hasn't it?

00:12:23.920 Well, sort of.

00:12:25.360 There was a flight to Barbados.

00:12:27.680 It was not the Prime Minister.

00:12:29.000 But if they had just told everybody, it's not the Prime Minister, this is what we were

00:12:34.000 doing.

00:12:34.780 Yeah.

00:12:35.900 Fine.

00:12:36.960 But why hide that information?

00:12:38.940 Why lie about this information?

00:12:40.860 And they actively joked in their communications about, oh, the conspiracy theorists are going

00:12:47.420 wild on social media.

00:12:49.380 Yeah. 1.00

00:12:49.800 Because they're filling in the blanks because you guys are a bunch of liars. 0.82

00:12:52.240 It was not the Prime Minister. 0.65

00:12:55.180 But it also was nothing to lie about.

00:12:58.080 Why didn't they just tell everybody?

00:12:59.660 I don't understand.

00:13:00.920 It's like they get off on withholding information and being weirdos.

00:13:04.840 You know, it's awful.

00:13:06.420 It almost sounds like they're playing games or at least they're taking mirth and merriment

00:13:10.400 out of this, you know, wild goose chase.

00:13:13.660 And in terms of what you just said, Sheila, that they were joking about all the conspiracy

00:13:19.340 theories going wild on the Internet.

00:13:22.540 And I think that's shameful because I don't know if these people realize it, but you, I

00:13:27.100 and 38 million other Canadians are paying their salaries with our tax dollars.

00:13:31.520 They don't have a right to act like this, Sheila.

00:13:34.000 No, and that was the point that I made in my video that has yet to come out, is that

00:13:39.880 just tell the truth, because not only are we entitled to this information, but would

00:13:45.540 it kill you to show a little respect for the people who pay salaries, bureaucrats?

00:13:51.920 Don't mock them because they're filling in the blanks because you guys are a bunch of 1.00

00:13:55.880 liars. 0.95

00:13:56.980 And usually, usually when I'm dealing with the federal government, because it's pretty 0.98

00:14:00.900 easy, they're the federal government, I assume ineptitude, right?

00:14:05.340 I assume that they're just don't know what they're doing, so they don't know how to give

00:14:08.260 me this information.

00:14:09.820 But when I see them plotting back and forth in text messages to lie to people, it's not

00:14:15.900 an aptitude.

00:14:16.580 That's malice and disrespect for the taxpayer.

00:14:19.840 But that attitude comes right down from the top.

00:14:23.140 If Justin Trudeau can do it, why can't they?

00:14:25.700 Yeah, the fish rots from the head, doesn't it?

00:14:28.300 You know, Sheila, it's amazing.

00:14:29.560 I don't think there's anyone better in Canada than you going through these voluminous

00:14:33.680 documents.

00:14:34.780 Some of it is just so boring and dry.

00:14:38.160 But then again, you come across nuggets that reveal the mindset of some of these people in

00:14:44.480 Ottawa.

00:14:44.820 I know what I remember, Sheila, remember that ridiculous multi-million dollar ice rink they

00:14:49.140 built for Canada's sesquicentennial on Parliament Hill?

00:14:52.500 And we went through those documents and there was some bureaucrat looking over the plans of

00:14:57.860 the rink and noticed there wasn't mesh around the end parts of the arena. 0.78

00:15:02.340 And he brought up the true story, the tragic true story of a 15-year-old girl that was killed

00:15:08.020 at a Columbus Blue Jackets game because a deflected puck hit her in the head.

00:15:12.280 But what the phrase he used was, imagine if we don't put that mesh and that happens again on

00:15:20.340 Parliament Hill.

00:15:21.680 Think of the horrible publicity.

00:15:23.940 Not think about the 15-year-old girl that died, but think about the bad publicity for

00:15:29.080 Justin Trudeau.

00:15:30.260 This is a special kind of crazy to me, Sheila.

00:15:34.160 I know.

00:15:34.580 And then I think that rink cost like $6 million and it was only for like a handful of days.

00:15:41.860 And you couldn't play shinny, you couldn't play a little pickup hockey.

00:15:48.320 But it was $6 million to play it in photos.

00:15:52.640 Yeah.

00:15:52.920 It wasn't like there was Brett Hall out there whipping off slap shots.

00:15:57.240 Sheila, we got to wrap it here.

00:15:58.280 You know, last question, exit question.

00:16:00.620 Once upon a time, and I don't mean going back to the Diefenbaker days, I mean going back 0.74

00:16:05.620 some 15 years ago to the Stephen Harper days, these kind of scandals would be front page,

00:16:11.240 i.e. Bev Oda's infamous $16 orange juice.

00:16:15.580 But with this stuff, and it's constant, it's almost a daily occurrence of scandal.

00:16:20.340 Nothing to see here, folks, says the media party.

00:16:23.740 Why?

00:16:24.240 Well, with Bev Oda, the sort of outrage about what he did, it came from the liberal media.

00:16:35.100 Yeah.

00:16:35.380 But what finally did Bev in was conservatives who said, Bev, come on, we don't do this.

00:16:41.700 The liberals do this.

00:16:42.920 You got to go.

00:16:44.640 The liberals don't have that sort of political hygiene on their side. 0.71

00:16:47.700 They will blindly follow the leader, excuse anything, three times blackface, maybe more, 1.00

00:16:53.080 lying bureaucrats, bureaucrats notting the lie on paper, we scandal, lab scandal, everything.

00:17:00.880 They'll excuse away all of that.

00:17:03.740 The folly of conservatives is, I suppose, their own high standards for who they allow to lead

00:17:12.720 them and represent them.

00:17:13.780 And it's what allows liberals to win and win and win.

00:17:18.420 Sheila, great analysis and great report, as always, my friend.

00:17:22.380 Thank you so much.

00:17:23.100 And you have a good weekend.

00:17:25.000 I will, David.

00:17:25.720 You too.

00:17:26.400 Thank you.

00:17:27.200 And that was Sheila Gunn-Reed somewhere in the northern hinterland of Alberta.

00:17:32.280 Keep it here, folks.

00:17:33.300 More of Rebel Roundup to come right after this.

00:17:41.040 Lincoln J for Rebel News here in Toronto.

00:17:43.200 Now, for the past 20 months, frontline workers have been declared heroes for their continuous

00:17:48.960 work throughout the pandemic.

00:17:51.140 Those same heroes are now being put out of work for simply refusing to take the COVID-19

00:17:56.960 vaccine.

00:17:57.840 I had the chance to speak with one of those frontline workers, Andrew Mason, a Toronto

00:18:01.880 firefighter who has been placed on suspension without pay for not disclosing his vaccination

00:18:07.300 status.

00:18:08.240 Andrew has a family to provide for and bills to pay.

00:18:11.560 He has worked without second thought through the entire pandemic and is now being left

00:18:16.320 out to dry.

00:18:16.980 Have a listen to Andrew's story.

00:18:19.480 Well, I'm from Jamaica.

00:18:20.740 Moved to Canada in 2001.

00:18:23.520 Went to high school on a Western technical and commercial school.

00:18:26.280 From that point on, I just got into the working field after I graduated from high school.

00:18:33.820 I had a friend of mine that introduced me to firefighting through the newspaper.

00:18:38.240 So, he told me to give it a go.

00:18:41.700 So, I said, you know what?

00:18:42.460 I would.

00:18:43.800 I went out to the seminar, got into it, spoke to a few guys.

00:18:48.040 They got me really interested because it was more like a brotherhood.

00:18:51.180 So, I was really interested in getting someone like that where you could feel like a close

00:18:55.100 to a family while you're doing your work.

00:18:56.500 And it gets you motivated, helping people and being close to the guys that you're working

00:18:59.840 with at the same time.

00:19:00.580 So, that's how I got into it.

00:19:03.540 Fell in love with it from that point on.

00:19:05.740 I've been active duty firefighter for five years, going on six.

00:19:08.100 It's coming March.

00:19:09.460 With the mandatory vaccine requirements in place for Toronto Fire Services, where does

00:19:13.800 this leave you?

00:19:15.300 Well, it leaves me basically hopeless because I'm not sure what I'm going to be doing to

00:19:19.040 take care of my family, to do whatever I need to do to ensure that the future is secure.

00:19:24.300 As it stands right now, I'm currently suspended without pay.

00:19:27.440 I have no income coming in.

00:19:28.560 I have no clue what I'll be doing.

00:19:32.720 It's leaving me in uncertainty because we have no idea what's really going on between

00:19:35.420 the negotiation, between the council and the union.

00:19:40.020 We're basically left in the dark.

00:19:42.040 There's no releases.

00:19:43.100 There's nothing really updating us of what's really going on.

00:19:46.340 From the bit of information that I did have, is that city council is being very hard in terms

00:19:52.040 of making any kind of compromises towards us or having any kind of sympathy for us to be

00:19:57.620 able to exercise our freedoms in not disclosing our vaccination status or whatever the case

00:20:04.940 may be when it comes to that.

00:20:06.760 So with that information that we do have and what we don't, it's just very, very depressing.

00:20:13.560 What were your interactions like with your superiors, your colleagues on your final days of work

00:20:19.360 before the suspension?

00:20:20.220 Well, my superiors, like with my captains and such, that we have constant interaction with, they were fantastic.

00:20:29.000 The guys that I worked with, they were great.

00:20:30.940 They were very supportive.

00:20:31.700 And they basically supported me to make whatever decision that I needed to make, whatever I thought was right.

00:20:39.600 The guys were looking out for me, so they were just like, you know, do what's best for your family.

00:20:43.980 If you can, go ahead and do it, just so you know that you're safe and secure.

00:20:48.360 They did it just with the purest of hearts.

00:20:50.420 It wasn't like they were talking down to me or trying to force me to get it or looking at my side or any kind of way that was negative.

00:20:58.740 It's just that you could see it that they were just looking out for me.

00:21:03.120 So even though the decision that I've made, which is very tough, they've still been giving me phone calls, texts,

00:21:08.240 and just saying that we support the decision, wish you all the best, and if you need any help, that will be there for you.

00:21:13.220 So I really appreciate my guys and my guys around the city, not the ones that I work with immediately,

00:21:18.620 but the guys around the city that's been calling and showing support as well.

00:21:21.940 There's a lot of people that would say, why don't you just get the jab?

00:21:25.700 Is it really worth it for you to lose your job?

00:21:28.000 Why not just get the vaccine?

00:21:29.300 What's really going to happen to you?

00:21:31.480 But it's different for you.

00:21:32.800 Why is it important for you to stay true to your beliefs?

00:21:36.600 Because I believe the last point of domain that any man has is the physical being, right?

00:21:42.860 If anything that passes beyond that, then you have no control.

00:21:47.480 You have utterly no control over your life.

00:21:49.460 You have no control of what goes inside your body.

00:21:51.900 And I'm not willing to give that up.

00:21:54.580 Isn't it just so perverse, folks?

00:21:56.500 Just two months ago, during the 20th anniversary of 9-11,

00:22:00.960 our elected officials the world over were justifiably lauding first responders.

00:22:06.480 You know, firefighters and police officers and paramedics.

00:22:09.660 The type of people who are running into the Twin Towers as citizens were running out of those skyscrapers.

00:22:17.520 And many of those first responders paid the ultimate price.

00:22:21.520 And yet, just mere weeks after those glowing tributes to our emergency services personnel,

00:22:28.720 these very same officials who lauded firefighters and police and paramedics

00:22:33.400 are now telling them to either get the jab or lose their job.

00:22:38.160 Talk about what have you done for me lately.

00:22:42.440 And joining me now with more on this story is our ace photojournalist, Lincoln Jay.

00:22:47.720 Lincoln, whatever the hell happened to, you know, reasonable accommodation

00:22:53.480 when it comes to a frontline hero such as Andrew Mason?

00:22:58.240 It just seems like there's no options for them.

00:23:01.720 It's just do it our way or the highway.

00:23:04.320 You know, get the jab or you're out of a job.

00:23:06.060 It's as simple as that.

00:23:06.960 But what is the unspoken strategy here?

00:23:11.480 You know, for years we've been given the talking points from the left,

00:23:16.520 reasonable accommodation, my body, my choice.

00:23:19.920 If there are a few percentage points of firefighters not getting vaccinated

00:23:25.300 and everybody else has been vaccinated,

00:23:28.160 what is really the tangible danger to members of that department?

00:23:34.220 Beats me.

00:23:35.060 I mean, I don't know if there is a danger.

00:23:36.260 I just think that the powers that be just want this vaccine pushed at all costs.

00:23:42.740 And they're putting in these restrictions, these mandates, all across the board,

00:23:46.440 all sectors, it seems like.

00:23:48.400 And they're just not budging.

00:23:50.420 It just seems like they're doing anything they can to push these and coercing people to coercing workers with vaccine mandates,

00:23:59.080 saying that you have to get the jab or you're out of a job.

00:24:03.240 That's just the way they want to do it.

00:24:04.740 And it's a way that they think they're going to get more people vaccinated.

00:24:07.260 That's just my opinion.

00:24:08.100 Yeah. And, you know, when it comes to, say, a firefighter versus an office worker, Lincoln,

00:24:14.760 here's what I don't get.

00:24:16.380 These people, I'm not saying this happens every day, every shift on the job,

00:24:20.540 but there are those times where there's the proverbial five alarm fire.

00:24:24.740 It's a very dangerous situation.

00:24:27.240 They're going into fires.

00:24:28.900 They're trying to rescue people.

00:24:31.040 They could literally put their lives on the line, as so many did in 9-11 on that dark day.

00:24:38.260 What I'm getting at is they're already accepting a high degree of danger on the job,

00:24:45.040 physical danger, fighting fires.

00:24:47.300 How is it a virus with a recovery rate of 99.7% is considered an even bigger danger than, say,

00:24:57.100 you know, a fire, a major fire?

00:24:59.960 It's unbelievable.

00:25:02.060 They were frontline heroes, right, for the past, I believe it's 20 months now,

00:25:08.220 since the pandemic had begun.

00:25:12.760 And he worked, Andrew worked, without a problem, you know, the entire pandemic,

00:25:19.620 up until he was suspended without pay recently, you know, no questions asked,

00:25:24.700 went to work, just like every other frontline worker.

00:25:27.100 And now those same frontline workers are out of work.

00:25:32.380 Simple as that.

00:25:33.300 And Andrew's just one example of the many Canadians that are dealing with this.

00:25:40.160 It's sad.

00:25:41.500 I kind of, you know, perversely laugh at that phrase, suspended without pay.

00:25:46.560 That kind of sounds like being fired to me.

00:25:49.320 Yeah, it is.

00:25:50.220 And it's, I guess they're, this is a step towards termination,

00:25:55.280 because they basically are suspended without pay,

00:25:59.620 giving them a little bit more time to potentially get the vaccine.

00:26:03.880 I think that's what the, that's the idea behind it.

00:26:06.560 I see.

00:26:06.920 And termination is coming, unfortunately.

00:26:10.000 So they're kind of in the penalty box now, to use a hockey analogy.

00:26:13.540 You're going to serve your 10-minute misconduct.

00:26:16.200 But if you don't reform your ways, you're suspended from the league, i.e. fired outright.

00:26:22.800 Absolutely shameful.

00:26:23.500 What is Mr. Mason's union doing for him, Lincoln?

00:26:31.100 Not much.

00:26:32.160 It just seems that, as he mentioned in my report, that they're just not budging, right, in any way.

00:26:40.020 So there's a lot of turmoil with communication.

00:26:44.060 And he's basically just, he's kind of just left in the dark.

00:26:46.800 You know, this is the other fascinating thing.

00:26:48.600 We have seen in so many cases, whether it's firefighters, law enforcement, rail workers,

00:26:54.000 flight attendants at Air Canada, Unifor employees, you know, the auto assembly plants.

00:26:59.820 The unions and management are like this.

00:27:02.660 I've never seen such a thing.

00:27:04.660 Why is it that the unions are so much on the bandwagon of mandatory jabs in the first place?

00:27:12.900 This whole vaccine craze is just, I don't know.

00:27:16.560 I've never seen anything like it.

00:27:19.620 It's just, everybody has just kind of completely changed, you know.

00:27:23.820 And everything and everyone and every business, it seems like not every business,

00:27:29.560 is just centered around these mandates.

00:27:32.020 And basically, I feel like a lot of these companies and unions, et cetera,

00:27:37.080 if they don't go with the majority, they feel like they're, I don't know,

00:27:41.540 they just don't want to take that risk of separating themselves from the crowd.

00:27:44.940 You know, I'm baffled because they've never been, you know,

00:27:50.120 reserved or reluctant to take a hard line against management when it comes to higher wages,

00:27:58.600 more benefits, vacation days whatsoever.

00:28:01.140 And by the way, Lincoln, the reason why I'm so focused on the unionization factor

00:28:05.940 is because when you are a member of the union,

00:28:09.220 when you are part of that collective bargaining agreement,

00:28:12.280 you give up so many of the labor rights so that if you were to do some kind of wrongful dismissal

00:28:18.080 claim, in many instances, it's just not going to fly because you are unionized.

00:28:23.280 So the guy you expect to go to bat for you, he's hanging out to dry.

00:28:29.300 Yeah, I don't know.

00:28:30.080 I know I keep kind of repeating this,

00:28:31.580 but the whole push with everything with COVID and with the vaccines is that if you're getting the vaccine,

00:28:36.940 you're doing your part, you're keeping others safe.

00:28:39.620 And people really have kind of bought into that, like a love spell.

00:28:43.140 And they all believe that they're doing the right thing with these mandates.

00:28:48.660 It's a sad reality.

00:28:50.160 People, they honestly, they're either doing it because they feel coerced to,

00:28:54.560 or they believe it's the right thing.

00:28:57.240 It just all confuses me.

00:28:58.820 And it confuses me too, because they were the frontline heroes before there were such a thing as a COVID vaccine.

00:29:05.960 Now in this day and age of Pfizer, Johnson and Johnson and the rest,

00:29:09.720 you are a frontline zero unless you get this experimental vaccine put into your arm.

00:29:16.020 It's a shame.

00:29:16.980 I just wonder, last question, how many Andrew Masons do we have?

00:29:20.660 I know I interviewed another Ontario firefighter.

00:29:24.000 He was dismissed from his job simply for making a video about his decision to not to reveal his vac status at the fire hall.

00:29:33.520 That was good enough for his, you know, department to throw him under the hook and ladder, if you will.

00:29:40.060 I'm just wondering how many of these people there are, Lincoln,

00:29:43.680 because if there's a critical mass being fired, then isn't that a safety issue?

00:29:50.700 I mean, aren't fire departments going to be short-staffed?

00:29:53.920 These are well-trained, experienced firefighters.

00:29:57.040 You just can't go to the local manpower outlet and ask for a temporary worker to fill that role.

00:30:03.320 So could this result in, you know, a fire not being attended to in the future the way it should be,

00:30:09.580 because there's a shortage of qualified firefighters?

00:30:13.260 I can't comment on that exactly from the conversations that me and Andrew had, or that Andrew and I had off camera.

00:30:21.320 It seems like, it honestly seems like, there was no exact numbers or anything,

00:30:26.800 but it seems like when it came down to it, there was a lot of people against it,

00:30:31.800 a lot of people in the fire department, in his department, that were against it.

00:30:36.520 They were against the coercion, against the mandatory vaccination.

00:30:39.460 But when it came down to it, they gave in.

00:30:43.820 And that's, I think that's the reality.

00:30:47.060 So I don't know exactly how many people, how many situations,

00:30:51.440 but I think a lot of people do give in to the coercion, unfortunately.

00:30:55.140 And I do get that part, Lincoln, of giving in to the coercion,

00:30:58.760 not in terms of bending the knee just because someone is bullying you,

00:31:03.880 but at the end of the day, you've got to put groceries on the table,

00:31:06.860 you've got to pay the mortgage, and people are facing financial ruin.

00:31:09.960 So it is just despicable.

00:31:12.040 Excellent report.

00:31:12.920 Thank you very much, Lincoln.

00:31:13.840 And there you go.

00:31:14.340 And for all you elected officials who just, back in September 11th of this year,

00:31:19.440 lauding these emergency personnel as the frontline heroes,

00:31:23.500 those who are prepared to give the ultimate sacrifice,

00:31:26.260 how fortunate we are for them.

00:31:28.520 Like I said earlier, folks, just weeks later,

00:31:31.900 it's get the jabs or you lose your jobs. 0.99

00:31:34.800 You are despicable. 1.00

00:31:36.440 You are hypocrites. 1.00

00:31:37.960 And you should give them their jobs back along with an apology. 1.00

00:31:42.160 Keep it here.

00:31:42.940 More of Rebel Roundup to come right after this.

00:31:50.700 Dave Chappelle gets to speak.

00:31:53.160 I, Jason Bard, get to speak.

00:31:55.380 You get to speak.

00:31:56.600 We all get to speak.

00:31:57.980 You don't have a right to cancel me.

00:31:59.820 I don't have a right to cancel you.

00:32:01.560 You see, this is how we get progress in life.

00:32:07.060 I think if there's anything worse than censorship, it's self-censorship.

00:32:10.700 For sure.

00:32:11.260 No, I completely agree with that.

00:32:12.940 And at the end of the day, you can't make every single person happy.

00:32:16.100 You know, with every decision I've ever made,

00:32:18.900 there's always been someone that's, like, upset about it.

00:32:21.220 So, like, at the end of the day, I don't know.

00:32:24.580 I don't really know what to say.

00:32:26.160 I can't.

00:32:26.620 Why?

00:32:27.180 Like, do you want me living on the street, homeless, having no way to make money?

00:32:34.440 Like, is that what you want from people that disagree with you?

00:32:38.600 What Dave's trying to do is he's talking about it because there's a conversation to be had.

00:32:43.480 And if people are getting mad, then that means there's a conversation.

00:32:45.780 He invites the controversy, but he doesn't think there's a need to be canceled for it.

00:32:49.800 You know, let's take it to the extreme.

00:32:56.880 Folks, if you think I'm exaggerating about how the COVID protocols in terms of the vaccine passports

00:33:04.840 is making life miserable, it is now 7.30.

00:33:08.960 There are hundreds of people inside Scotiabank Arena waiting to get out.

00:33:13.420 There are actually a couple of thousand outside.

00:33:19.800 Dave Chappelle is here today.

00:33:22.440 Yeah.

00:33:22.880 And he's made observations, jokes that has offended some in the radical transgender community.

00:33:30.440 And they want him canceled.

00:33:32.040 What do you think about that?

00:33:33.620 Yeah, I think he screwed up big time. 0.99

00:33:36.420 And this is ridiculous. 0.99

00:33:39.640 Oh, so Dave Chappelle screwed up big time by making... 0.98

00:33:42.440 Oh, yeah. 1.00

00:33:42.740 Well, why would you say that shit, man? 1.00

00:33:44.620 Like, I know everybody on the street. 1.00

00:33:47.020 I'm not going to put down nobody. 0.97

00:33:48.680 I think it's all silly. 0.64

00:33:51.180 Well, I'm not following it too closely. 0.77

00:33:53.840 Like, it's comedy.

00:33:55.140 I watch the shows.

00:33:56.100 They're not offensive as far as I'm concerned.

00:33:58.720 Did you see his last show, sir?

00:34:00.020 Of course.

00:34:00.540 I've seen every one of Chappelle's shows.

00:34:02.160 Did you see anything remotely offensive in that last show?

00:34:05.600 Because...

00:34:05.880 It's not a comedy show.

00:34:06.960 Okay, then.

00:34:08.080 And even if comedy is offensive, does anyone really have a right not to be offended?

00:34:12.640 No, freedom of speech.

00:34:13.520 Well, he's speaking of his own personal experience in a comedy format.

00:34:17.980 I don't think he's political in that sense.

00:34:20.940 And his views, he has friends of all sorts.

00:34:23.600 Well, folks, as you can see, as the night gets later, still so many hundreds of people waiting to get in.

00:34:37.060 That's the new reality when it comes to the Vax Pass.

00:34:39.840 But a couple of sad observations.

00:34:42.020 One is, we were going around prior to people getting in line to get into the Dave Chappelle show.

00:34:49.580 You would think that Dave Chappelle fans would be full of bluster when it comes to taking a stand against the cancel culture mobsters.

00:34:58.680 But no, so many people said to me, listen, we love Chappelle, we love Rebel News, but I can't come on camera because I run a business and I don't want to be segregated.

00:35:10.740 I don't want to be pointed out by the cancel culture mob and have my livelihood destroyed.

00:35:16.040 Such is the sad, sad reality of 2021.

00:35:19.720 And although we didn't encounter any protesters as part of the spirit unicorn community, Pride Toronto issued a release condemning the Dave Chappelle show here in Toronto.

00:35:35.220 And it's very funny, isn't it, folks?

00:35:36.860 It's perversely ironic to me that the LGBT community for decades has asked for more acceptance, more tolerance.

00:35:47.320 And yet when you have Mr. Chappelle make jokes or makes even observations about certain members of that community, there is no tolerance.

00:35:57.040 There is no acceptance.

00:35:58.580 He should be cancelled. 1.00

00:35:59.820 He should be given an economic death sentence. 0.76

00:36:02.840 I guess when it comes to the alphabet soup community or at least the radical elements of it, acceptance and tolerance in 2021 is a one-way street.

00:36:15.800 Well, Dave Chappelle dropped by Hogtown on Monday.

00:36:19.020 And of course, the radical trans community had their knickers in a knot because Mr. Chappelle is allegedly transphobic.

00:36:27.320 Translation, Dave made some witty observations about this uber-sensitive community in his Netflix comedy special, The Closer.

00:36:36.420 And evidently, that's offside because, well, because radical trans people are special.

00:36:44.600 Oh, they're special, all right.

00:36:46.720 And even though Pride Toronto condemned Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment for giving Chappelle a stage, the show, thank God, went on as planned.

00:36:57.860 In any event, you had plenty to say about Dave Chappelle versus the transgendered cancel culture mobsters. 1.00

00:37:06.460 Jason H. writes,

00:37:07.700 Dave is the funniest bloke I have ever watched.

00:37:10.380 Why would you want to cancel his show?

00:37:13.040 His racist jokes are hilarious.

00:37:15.340 And I'm white.

00:37:16.380 Indeed, Jason, in The Closer, Netflix show that caused the controversy, Dave not only targets the trans community, but he makes jokes about Jews, about white men and black women.

00:37:29.100 He's pretty much an equal opportunity offender.

00:37:32.120 But why does it seem that in this day and age that only certain groups must be considered sacred cows when it comes to comedy?

00:37:42.240 What happened to equality when it comes to the humorphile? 0.98

00:37:48.000 Handsome Fat Boy writes,

00:37:50.060 It's like the left is getting stronger and weirder.

00:37:53.400 Well, for sure, the left is getting weirder, weirder by the hour.

00:37:58.400 As for stronger, I don't know about that one. 0.96

00:38:00.980 And check out those U.S. election results earlier this month when so many sure thing Democrats got their arses handed to them.

00:38:08.860 People are waking up and be it critical race theory or the perverse agenda espoused by those in the radical transgender community. 0.99

00:38:17.980 Patriotic citizens are demonstrating that they are getting weary of this ideological crap. 0.97

00:38:25.080 By the way, can't wait to see the results of the U.S. midterm elections next year. 0.93

00:38:32.040 Sergio Reggi writes,

00:38:33.900 Too many oversensitive, fragile buttercups out there.

00:38:37.960 Go, Dave Chappelle.

00:38:39.680 Oh, I agree, Sergio.

00:38:40.760 But here's the thing.

00:38:42.260 The problem isn't the rank and file of Buttercup Nation. 0.90

00:38:45.740 No, the problem is those people in charge who are bending the knee to these buttercups and spirit unicorns and gender benders and what have you. 1.00

00:38:56.300 These creeps shouldn't be calling the shots when it comes to what is and what is not permissible in the public square.

00:39:04.120 Rather, many of them should just be residing in an asylum. 0.97

00:39:08.120 Rorschach writes, 1.00

00:39:11.760 They are so stupid. 1.00

00:39:13.140 By trying to cancel him, they just advertised him for free. 1.00

00:39:17.440 Indeed, sir, I believe this phenomenon is known as the Barbra Streisand effect.

00:39:22.800 And sometimes you just gotta love the law of unintended consequences.

00:39:29.860 Face Like Dog writes,

00:39:31.880 LGBTQ equals let's get Biden to quit. 1.00

00:39:35.860 Wow, that's my kind of LGBTQ.

00:39:40.040 Hey, that's even better than let's go, Brandon.

00:39:43.440 Let's hope that gets on a bumper sticker sometime soon.

00:39:47.840 Ryan Oterum writes,

00:39:50.080 Why the F do I care?

00:39:52.120 Rebel not news.

00:39:53.400 Well, here's why you should care, Ryan.

00:39:56.320 Two years ago, it was beloved Canadian icon Don Cherry that got cancelled.

00:40:00.980 Earlier, it was Las Vegas Raiders coach John Gruden

00:40:05.020 who was shown the door.

00:40:07.280 Now the insatiable cancel culture mob

00:40:10.500 has its sights set on primo comedian Dave Chappelle.

00:40:14.080 How long will it be before maybe you are cancelled

00:40:19.680 for something you wrote or something you've said?

00:40:23.400 Maybe when you have some skin in the game, Ryan,

00:40:26.620 that's when you'll give an F.

00:40:29.280 Big Steve-O writes, 0.99

00:40:31.700 Even YouTube is scared of trans people, lol. 0.89

00:40:35.160 Try and say something about them. 0.94

00:40:37.120 It will get deleted in 17 seconds.

00:40:40.260 Indeed, talk about the tyranny of the minority.

00:40:43.880 And, you know, as I watched The Closer earlier this month, folks,

00:40:47.760 I was champing at the bit

00:40:49.580 to witness all this horrible transphobic content

00:40:54.420 that certain people were fussing over.

00:40:57.800 And you know what?

00:40:58.600 The so-called hate speech never materialized.

00:41:02.640 In fact, the one observation that Chappelle made

00:41:05.860 that seems to be the catalyst

00:41:07.400 for the radical trans people losing their minds is this.

00:41:11.680 Quote,

00:41:12.220 Gender is a fact. 1.00

00:41:13.660 Every human being in this room,

00:41:15.680 every human being on Earth 0.98

00:41:17.800 had to pass through the legs of a woman 1.00

00:41:20.080 to be on Earth.

00:41:22.120 That is a fact.

00:41:23.160 End quote.

00:41:24.680 Why is this factual statement

00:41:27.060 pertaining to Biology 101

00:41:29.920 so bloody offensive to these people?

00:41:33.040 What else will they be offended by

00:41:35.260 in the days and weeks ahead?

00:41:37.260 The theory of gravity?

00:41:39.600 Sandy Hoffman writes,

00:41:41.580 Comedy would be completely dead

00:41:43.840 if it wasn't for guys like Chappelle.

00:41:46.320 Well, you know what, Sandy?

00:41:47.520 We came this close

00:41:49.620 to comedy being effectively killed

00:41:51.960 earlier this month in Canada

00:41:53.540 when the Supreme Court delivered

00:41:55.860 a favorable verdict

00:41:57.420 for comedian Mike Ward

00:41:59.300 by a single vote,

00:42:01.040 five to four.

00:42:02.340 Ward was accused of hurting

00:42:03.960 somebody's feelings

00:42:05.320 and had a single justice

00:42:08.420 voted the other way,

00:42:09.940 there would have been

00:42:10.900 a very dangerous new precedent set

00:42:13.620 for free speech

00:42:15.340 in our great dominion.

00:42:16.420 It is scary

00:42:18.020 that four Supreme Court justices

00:42:20.620 actually believe

00:42:22.380 that people have the right

00:42:24.660 not to be offended.

00:42:27.080 Amazing.

00:42:28.080 And finally, Cricket writes,

00:42:30.200 If people actually watch the show,

00:42:32.700 they'd understand

00:42:33.560 he is not anti-trans.

00:42:36.420 Watch.

00:42:37.260 Listen.

00:42:38.240 But they'd rather scream

00:42:39.620 and lose their tiny little minds.

00:42:42.080 That's much easier

00:42:43.200 than thinking.

00:42:44.500 Well, you nailed it, Cricket.

00:42:46.780 But I'm betting at least

00:42:48.220 half of Chappelle's detractors

00:42:50.020 never even bothered

00:42:51.460 to watch the closer.

00:42:53.500 They are being told

00:42:54.360 by their social justice ringleaders

00:42:56.620 how to think

00:42:57.740 and how to react.

00:42:59.720 And to paraphrase Tina Turner,

00:43:02.440 what's truth got to do with it?

00:43:05.240 Well, that wraps up

00:43:06.520 another edition of Rebel Roundup.

00:43:08.260 Thanks so much for joining us.

00:43:09.780 See you next week.

00:43:10.660 And hey, folks, never forget,

00:43:12.380 without risk,

00:43:13.160 there can be no glory.

00:43:14.560 Good night.

00:43:14.980 Good night.

00:43:15.440 Good night.

00:43:16.120 Good night.

00:43:16.240 Good night.

00:43:16.660 Good night.
