00:00:00.000 Hello, my friends. The Ottawa Carleton School Board has decided not to participate in this
00:00:05.560 year's Pride Parade. Now, the media says it's because of those right-wingers. Well, I did a
00:00:10.180 little research, and you know what the number one religion reported by students at the Ottawa
00:00:16.240 Carleton Public School Board is? The number one religion. Well, I'll have to keep you guessing
00:00:21.760 for a moment. I'll tell you on my monologue today. It's actually incredible. But first,
00:00:27.180 let me invite you to become a subscriber to Rebel News Plus. That's the video version of this
00:00:30.780 podcast. And I've got two video clips I'm showing in that monologue of who exactly is literally
00:00:36.920 dancing on the pride flags. You've got to see it. To see it, you need the video version.
00:00:43.680 We call it Rebel News Plus. Go to rebelnewsplus.com. And Bob's your uncle.
00:00:57.180 Tonight, why did the Ottawa Public School Board really cancel their participation in
00:01:08.560 the Gay Pride Parade?
00:01:10.280 It's July 7th and this is The Ezra LeVant Show. 0.99
00:01:12.860 Shame on you, you sensorism bug!
00:01:27.180 I saw this story from CTV. So right away, you know, it's going to be propaganda. The headline
00:01:32.800 is Ottawa Public School Board will not participate in Capitol Pride Parade in August. Same story in
00:01:41.340 the CBC and a lot of other places. The CBC headline is OCDSB out of touch for sitting out
00:01:48.780 Pride Parade, says elected trustee. Despite marching in the past, school district now says
00:01:54.900 August pride events don't fall within the school year. So that's their excuse. It's not during the
00:02:00.100 school year. And that's correct. But it never has been. And from what I can tell, that's never
00:02:06.180 stopped them from participating before. Here's the Ottawa citizens version of the story. Their
00:02:11.420 headline is Ottawa Carleton District School Board pulls out of capital pride parade. They quote a
00:02:17.480 gay trustee who points out that it's always in August. So she's mad that they're not going this
00:02:22.720 year, and she thinks she's found the real culprit. Let me quote, her name is Trustee Blackburn.
00:02:30.760 We're currently in a time where we have to do a small, we have a small handful,
00:02:35.360 but loud group of far-right people who would want to push LGBTQ rights back, Blackburn said.
00:02:45.100 As a school board, as a public entity, they have an obligation to be doubling down against that.
00:02:50.800 Okay.
00:02:52.280 I'll read a little more.
00:02:53.400 This decision comes weeks after the board faced criticism
00:02:55.680 for canceling a planned drag story time
00:02:59.500 at much more public school in the Glebe.
00:03:01.760 Blackburn is calling on the OCDSB to reverse the decision,
00:03:05.380 saying she hopes public reaction will lead the board to reconsider.
00:03:10.640 Is that really why this was canceled?
00:03:12.800 A far-right group of people?
00:03:15.480 Small group, but loud group?
00:03:17.880 Is that really what happened?
00:03:19.260 Hey, let me show you a video from downtown Ottawa a few years ago.
00:03:24.020 Let me see if I can show you a bit about these far-right people.
00:03:27.980 Here's a video actually published by our friend Kian Bextie.
00:03:49.260 Leave our kids alone!
00:04:19.260 Here's another clip of the same thing.
00:04:26.880 All right, we're here currently at the protest.
00:04:29.960 We got a bunch of young kids here with their Arab parents,
00:04:34.240 and they are stomping the pride flag here at the protest. 0.57
00:04:38.140 The Arab community is sending a message, I believe, to the woke 0.78
00:04:41.180 that they are not accepting of this, ladies and gentlemen. 1.00
00:04:44.720 Yes, yes.
00:04:46.400 Yes, go, go, go.
00:04:48.460 any message you'd like to send today to just leave your kids alone what yes leave the kids
00:04:58.540 alone she says ladies and gentlemen leave the kids alone i think those are far right right wingers
00:05:04.620 let me give you a statistic not just a couple of anecdotal videos you're not going to believe this
00:05:10.060 but it's from the ontario public school board itself i got this from their website it's a
00:05:15.820 demographic report done by the school. Now it's a year and a half ago, so it's probably even more
00:05:21.400 pronounced now. Let me quote. Religion. The survey data reveals a diverse range of religious and
00:05:28.360 spiritual affiliations among students, with Muslims representing the largest group at 25%,
00:05:36.420 followed closely by Christians at 24%. So the number one religious group in Ottawa Public
00:05:43.940 schools is Islam. Did you know that? Now that's a 2024 stat, and we are in 2026. So I assume it's
00:05:51.640 grown, and I say that in part because of the five years before 2024. They have an interesting chart
00:05:58.240 showing that five years ago, the number of Muslims in the school was just 19.5%, still an enormous 1.00
00:06:04.820 number. So it jumped from 19.5% to 25% in five years. So it's growing by about a percent a year. 0.99
00:06:14.300 So it's probably up at 27% by now. Yeah, it's not the far right that canceled the gay pride parade.
00:06:22.120 It's the Muslim mums wearing burkas. You could see them in those video clips. 0.95
00:06:26.580 That's what did it. I keep laughing at all the feminists who just ate up the Margaret Atwood 1.00
00:06:31.860 novel and the tv show based on it called the handmaid's tale atwood acknowledged at the time 0.89
00:06:37.880 that she based that story on iran and the images of women being thrown into burqas that's what she
00:06:44.160 says but she didn't have the courage to take on islam itself so she made it about christianity
00:06:50.420 even though there is no christian theocracy anywhere in the world hasn't been for centuries 1.00
00:06:56.440 the feminist left claimed that george w bush or donald trump would uh put women into burkas and 0.74
00:07:03.560 that kind of thing yeah no they didn't and uh that christian burka thing managed to distract
00:07:11.060 the feminists while the country was being loaded up with misogynists wasn't it i mean 1.00
00:07:16.040 maybe they chose to distract themselves because they couldn't like margaret atwood take on the 1.00
00:07:21.260 truth i saw something at the same time as this uh other side of the country take a look at this
00:07:27.500 just watch one minute of this video from bc actually let's make it shorter watch 30 seconds
00:07:33.380 that is a registered political party leader in british columbia called the freedom party
00:07:48.720 And that's their leader and candidate, Amrit Behring.
00:07:52.600 Now, he later tied it up as Behring.
00:07:54.640 He looked quite dramatic there, didn't it?
00:07:56.640 Can I show you some news about Amrit Behring and the Freedom Party, which is a great name?
00:08:02.960 Here's a story also on CTV News.
00:08:06.380 The headline tells you what to expect.
00:08:10.400 B.C. political party leader criminally charged after rainbow crosswalk vandalism.
00:08:15.860 And there's a short video.
00:08:16.860 Take a look.
00:08:17.260 58-year-old Amrit Beering posted a video to social media of himself and another man spray-painting a pride crosswalk at the intersection of Old Yale Road and University Drive back in May.
00:08:29.520 Beering, who is the leader of the Freedom Party of B.C., was arrested and released with conditions a week later.
00:08:35.880 On June 26th, Beering and 67-year-old Errol Pova were formally charged with mischief over 5,000.
00:08:43.520 police say pova defaced the same crosswalk again the day after the charges were approved an act
00:08:50.000 that was also captured on video and posted online so yeah now i don't know much about amory biering
00:08:55.820 i didn't hear i didn't know about him until today you can see he's trimmed his beard a bit but it's
00:09:00.620 the same guy he doesn't like those lgbt2qsl plus rainbow crosswalks he thinks they're propaganda 1.00
00:09:08.980 and he's right. And it's really weird that this one political movement has public sidewalks. And 0.99
00:09:15.620 by the way, if you scuff your feet on them, that's apparently a crime. Now, whether or not the
00:09:20.200 correct way to protest these sidewalks is through spray paint, we'll find out after his criminal
00:09:25.740 trial. But he's not a far right conservative, at least not in the way the regime media and the
00:09:32.240 leftist activists use that term. And no, the Ottawa school board isn't canceling their pride parade
00:09:39.200 and their transgender story hour because of right-wing white guys. They're doing it because
00:09:46.140 they're a Muslim school board now, at least politically. When you invite millions of people
00:09:52.580 into your country from places like India or Pakistan or Afghanistan or Somalia, and then
00:09:59.080 they live in enclaves like mississauga or brampton or surrey or a dozen other places i mean so many
00:10:04.060 people come in it's almost always an enclave so they're amongst themselves and they recreate
00:10:08.640 their societies from back home including their religions and their cultures and their language
00:10:13.100 can you really be surprised by this how is this surprising at all now i'm worried in particular
00:10:20.400 about anti-semitic violence from jew haters who are being brought here by the hundreds of thousands
00:10:25.960 but whether or not you care about the jews you must understand that demographics is destiny
00:10:33.200 if a quarter of the kids in school are muslim you can predict where they will be in 20 years they
00:10:40.640 won't be in school anymore they'll be in the city working doing other things ruling the city they'll 0.93
00:10:46.760 be prosecutors and judges and police and mps demographics is about the most certain thing
00:10:52.980 You can predict the future perfectly by adding 10 or 20 years to everyone's age.
00:11:00.000 Ottawa, Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal, those were all lovely little cities.
00:11:04.760 And they were lovely because of their history and their culture and the language and the law and the people.
00:11:10.440 And now we're changing the people.
00:11:12.980 The history and culture and language and the law, that's going to change too.
00:11:17.260 Even if the media tries to hide why.
00:11:21.040 Stay with us for more.
00:11:22.980 Hey, welcome back.
00:11:31.900 You know, about a decade ago, a little bit more, actually,
00:11:34.740 I wrote a book called Ethical Oil, The Case for Canada's Oil Sands.
00:11:39.020 And I described something called demarketing. 0.97
00:11:42.640 And this was a strategy by the environmentalist left, funded by foreigners,
00:11:48.500 to, they thought they couldn't stop the oil sands itself from being produced,
00:11:52.420 but they could demarket it. They could stop it from getting to market. And of course,
00:11:57.040 the number one way it gets to market is by pipelines. And there was a map in this strategy
00:12:02.380 document from the Tides Foundation, a communist foundation in San Francisco that had a map of
00:12:08.640 the proposed pipelines, including the Keystone XL pipeline into the States and the Northern
00:12:13.720 Gateway pipeline to the West Coast. And a few years later, a pipeline idea called Energy East
00:12:19.500 came up that would have taken oil from Alberta all the way across to New Brunswick, where
00:12:24.960 Canada's largest refinery is.
00:12:26.740 And that refinery feeds on OPEC oil that's brought in by tankership.
00:12:30.720 So there were three big pipeline proposals in Trans Mountain.
00:12:34.580 But here's the thing about all of them.
00:12:36.880 All of them were viable private sector projects.
00:12:40.420 The goal of the Taj Foundation was to kill these pipelines, not by turning off some supply 0.51
00:12:46.840 money, but through regulatory abuses by simply banning them. And they worked because Gerald 0.91
00:12:53.700 Butts, who was really the point man in this project, went on to become Justin Trudeau's
00:12:58.620 senior advisor. So all these pipeline projects were killed. Northern Gateway was killed by
00:13:04.060 Trudeau. Energy East was killed by Trudeau. And the Keystone XL was actually killed by Barack
00:13:09.380 Obama. So here we are more than a decade later, and we've paid the price for it. The oil sands
00:13:15.160 have not grown as much as they should have.
00:13:17.440 Canada has missed out on hundreds of billions of dollars
00:13:20.440 and other countries are entering the ring where we should be.
00:13:24.480 Not just traditionally hostile countries like Iran,
00:13:27.940 but Venezuela, which is ramping back up
00:13:30.500 since the deposed Nicolas Maduro, its tyrant.
00:13:34.700 So I'm worried that we're in this spot again
00:13:37.460 where Alberta and Canada are missing out.
00:13:40.420 But this time the proposed solution from the Liberals
00:13:43.660 is not to stop the red tape and the laws that killed the pipelines in the first place,
00:13:48.980 but rather to offer some sort of government subsidy. So they're going to keep the tanker
00:13:53.080 ban. They're going to keep other laws and taxes and requirements that kill the oil sands.
00:13:59.120 But then they're going to have some sort of subsidy on top of it. I say again, a dozen years
00:14:05.880 ago, no company needed any money from the government to build a pipeline. It was an
00:14:10.780 inherently profitable thing to do and the oil sands were considered winners. It's only after
00:14:16.220 a decade of red tape that the idea of pipelines in Canada is unfeasible and uneconomic. Joining us
00:14:24.340 now to talk about this bizarre turn of events and how taxpayers are being pressed to pay for
00:14:30.080 these pipeline projects at inflated rates, I should say, is our old friend Noah Jarvis, who's
00:14:35.260 the Ontario Director of the Canadian Taxpayers Federation.
00:14:38.820 Noah, great to see you again.
00:14:40.560 You're not old enough to know,
00:14:42.100 but there was a time when oil companies would line up,
00:14:45.520 and there was four of them at one point,
00:14:47.440 all of them wanting to build pipelines,
00:14:49.440 all of them having enough private money
00:14:51.220 to do it without a dime of taxpayers.
00:14:53.620 All they wanted is for the government to get out of the way.
00:14:57.080 Tell us the state of affairs now.
00:14:58.720 What's your view on these proposed pipelines
00:15:00.680 and the government requirement to fund them?
00:15:03.380 well the story is the government is very much in the way right now the ford ford and premier
00:15:12.720 smith decided that they were going they want to build out a pipeline to ontario great idea
00:15:19.060 absolutely great it's probably going to create a lot of jobs and make a lot of money for taxpayers
00:15:23.920 in alberta and ontario but the problem is that they are looking to subsidize this pipeline the
00:15:30.500 only reason why subsidies are on the table for a pipeline from Alberta to Ontario or from Alberta
00:15:36.480 to BC is that the government is very much getting in the way. That is through anti-pipeline laws
00:15:43.500 like the Impact Assessment Act that the Trudeau government passed back in 2019, and also the
00:15:49.620 industrial carbon tax that is driving up the price of producing a barrel of oil. And it makes
00:15:57.900 Ontario or Alberta's oil very much uncompetitive compared to other oil producing jurisdictions
00:16:04.280 that don't levy an industrial carbon tax. So when the government is getting in the way and driving
00:16:09.940 up the price.
