Rebel News Podcast - EZRA LEVANT ｜ Deplatforming only proves the conspiracy theory to be correct

00:00:00.000 Hello, my rebels. Today, I'm going to try and make sense of the Kanye West situation

00:00:03.120 and Dave Chappelle's magnificent monologue on Saturday Night Live. I'm going to play some

00:00:08.580 clips from him. I won't give away my thoughts on it, but I just think that Kanye West is a

00:00:14.380 deep intellectual. Did you know his mother was a Fulbright scholar, a professor? And they went to

00:00:20.320 China, and Kanye West went to China as a boy. He actually spoke Chinese as a kid. Did you know that?

00:00:25.560 So many things to know about him. He really is brilliant. But how wrong did he get his rants

00:00:32.200 about the Jews? We'll talk about it. But first, let me invite you to become a subscriber to Rebel News

00:00:37.400 Plus. That's the video version of this podcast. I think it would be a great value add for this

00:00:45.100 podcast to see the comedians in question. I'm talking about Dave Chappelle, and to see Kanye West

00:00:51.080 and the tweets I'm going to refer to. So please go to rebelnewsplus.com. Click subscribe. It's

00:00:56.860 eight bucks a month. Get the video version of my show and the other shows we publish. And it's

00:01:01.040 actually how we pay our bills around here, because we don't take any money from Justin Trudeau,

00:01:05.560 unlike most media. Rebelnewsplus.com. All right, here's today's show on Kanye and Dave Chappelle.

00:01:10.440 Tonight, is there a better way to deal with someone who says something vaguely anti-Semitic

00:01:31.100 than to destroy them? It's November 14th, and this is The Ezra LeVance Show.

00:01:35.680 He's ready to feed them. Shame on you, you censorious bug.

00:01:50.920 Dave Chappelle is this guy. He's one of the world's leading comedians, or at least America's

00:01:55.800 leading comedian. He has these massive Netflix specials, which do so well. They tried to cancel

00:02:03.140 him for some jokes he made about transgender people. That's certainly a red line you're not

00:02:08.460 allowed to cross these days. There even was talk about having Netflix banning him. Obviously, 0.99

00:02:14.820 there's too much money at play for that. I think that Dave Chappelle, he probably would deny it. It

00:02:21.240 would be bad for his reputation. But I think if it's possible, I think he's a conservative comedian.

00:02:28.640 I mean, I don't know if that's quite possible, but here, watch this segment he did a couple years ago

00:02:34.300 about Jussie Smollett, who faked a hate crime against himself. I want to play just a couple

00:02:41.700 minutes of him talking about Juicy Smollett. Even the fact he called him Juicy makes me laugh.

00:02:47.880 Take a look at this guy, and tell me he's not a conservative.

00:02:50.580 It happens to the best. Don't ever forget what happened to that French actor. You know 0.89

00:02:57.040 what I'm talking about? Juicy Smollett. He's a very French, very famous French actor.

00:03:02.480 Juicy Smollett. Y'all never heard of Juicy Smollett? Juicy Smollett is an actor from France.

00:03:19.040 Juicy Smollett. And he became famous on a show called Empire. One night, he was in Chicago

00:03:38.120 late at night, and was the victim. He was the victim of a racist and homophobic attack. You see,

00:03:56.500 Juicy Smollett is gay, and he is black, not just French. 0.99

00:04:08.120 Oh, it was a crazy story. Apparently, when he was walking down the street late at night, 0.97

00:04:15.940 two white men came out of the shadows with MAGA hats on, beat him up, tied a rope around his neck, 0.97

00:04:23.920 called him all kinds of niggas, and put some bleach on him, and ran off into the night. 1.00

00:04:29.260 This shit was like international news. And everybody was furious, especially in Hollywood. 1.00

00:04:38.640 It's all over everybody's Twitter feed and Instagram page. Justice for Juicy and all this shit. 0.99

00:04:47.580 The whole country was up in arms. He was talking about it all the time on the news. 0.99

00:04:51.100 And for some reason, African Americans, we were, like, oddly quiet. 1.00

00:05:00.760 We were so quiet about this shit that the gay community started accusing African American 0.99

00:05:07.020 community of being homophobic for not supporting him. What they didn't understand is that we were 1.00

00:05:13.860 supporting him with our silence. Because we understood that this nigga was clearly lying. 1.00

00:05:26.580 You know, I think Dave Chappelle today is very different than he was as a younger man when I 0.87

00:05:30.760 think he was much wilder. I think time and wisdom, I think Chappelle is very wise. And I get a real

00:05:40.480 chuckle out of what he says. He's got a great style. But I think I learned something from him,

00:05:45.680 too. And I don't say that with, I can't even think of a single other comedian I would say that about.

00:05:51.520 Anyways, over the weekend, Dave Chappelle guest hosted that iconic late night TV show called

00:05:57.740 Saturday Night Live. This has been on for decades, run by a Canadian named Lauren Maccles,

00:06:03.220 who founded the things decades ago. And of course, some of the writers of Saturday Night Live

00:06:08.420 wanted to boycott him. How dare we allow this anti-trans activist come? But of course,

00:06:14.260 Saturday Night Live loves ratings. And the thing about Saturday Night Live is I think it actually

00:06:20.520 is live, which is very rare for a premium show like that to go live. Mainly, they do things live to

00:06:29.160 tape. They pre-record them just to get it right. And just in case something goes a little askew.

00:06:34.420 And I'm not sure if it was part of their plans, but Dave Chappelle got on Saturday Night Live

00:06:40.360 and the opening monologue, which is a Saturday Night Live tradition, which is typically a few

00:06:46.020 minutes long. He went on for about 15 solid minutes, which I don't even know if you can do

00:06:52.440 that on TV. They had to move the commercial breaks around. I watched the whole thing and it went by

00:07:00.640 in a flash. It was so funny and so newsy. I think it was the funniest, most honest comedy that I had

00:07:09.220 seen on Saturday Night Live in decades. I mean, normally it's just Democrat Party talking points

00:07:15.340 set to laugh tracks like this, Hillary Clinton at the piano, sad song. I don't even know what this is.

00:07:22.800 It wasn't comedy, but it was Saturday Night Live these past 20 years. Take a look.

00:07:27.760 I heard there was a secret chord that David played and it pleased the Lord. But you don't really care

00:07:46.040 for music for music, do you? Well, it goes like this, the fourth, the fifth, the minor fall,

00:07:56.040 and the major lift, the baffled king composing hallelujah. Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah.

00:08:18.040 Just appalling. I mean, Donald Trump is ripe for comedians. I mean, everything about him

00:08:33.220 can easily be caricatured and there's so many jokes to be had there. But instead of choosing

00:08:40.540 someone who would poke fun, they chose a human who was so full of raw hatred and rage that the way he

00:08:47.860 presented as Trump, it was never funny. It was just spewing insults. I mean, listen, I would truly

00:08:56.140 laugh at funny jokes at Trump's expense, but this is not that.

00:09:04.080 Hello.

00:09:07.400 Hello. Thank you for coming. I'd like to start by answering the question that's on everyone's mind.

00:09:12.280 Yes, this is real life. This is really happening.

00:09:14.320 On January 20th, I, Donald J. Trump, will become the 45th president of the United States.

00:09:21.500 And then, two months later, Mike Pence will become the 46th.

00:09:27.960 I am so excited to live in the White House. I'm even going to have a little pet,

00:09:31.960 like all the presidents do. Bill Clinton had socks, Barack Obama had bow,

00:09:36.300 and I'll have Paul Ryan. 0.71

00:09:37.180 I mean, I'm not gay, but I cannot wait to give it to that man for four years.

00:09:43.860 And guys, I mean, who is excited for my inauguration day?

00:09:48.560 Yes, thank you to those people over there who I definitely did not pay to do that.

00:09:53.140 20 years, it's been Democratic Party talking points. And then last night,

00:09:57.360 Dave Chappelle gets on the stage. And in the first few seconds, he had me hooked.

00:10:02.300 He started with a disclaimer. Take a look.

00:10:06.640 Before I start tonight, I just wanted to read a brief statement that I prepared.

00:10:14.640 I denounce anti-Semitism in all its forms.

00:10:19.640 And I stand with my friends in the Jewish community.

00:10:23.580 And that, Kanye, is how you buy yourself some time.

00:10:28.920 It is funny, but it is smart and true and wise that these days, if you're going to say anything

00:10:35.900 controversial, you have to bend the knee and say, I'm very tolerant. I'm going to do a land

00:10:41.120 acknowledgement to the Aboriginal people. I'm going to talk about my trans brothers and sisters.

00:10:45.500 I mean, Dave Chappelle was doing it as a joke, but he was actually doing it for real too.

00:10:49.880 Now, he started off fairly early by talking about Donald Trump. And he made a point of saying,

00:10:54.780 here in New York, you might think Trump is over, but not where I come from.

00:10:58.420 I want to play for you this Donald Trump story. Dave Chappelle,

00:11:01.380 I think he actually understands Donald Trump more than 90% people in showbiz and probably more than

00:11:10.260 80% of journalists in the news business who are headquartered in New York City or Washington.

00:11:15.940 Listen to Dave Chappelle talk about why people love Trump and still do and maybe always will.

00:11:23.960 Well, this guy's a comedian and he's really funny. His style, his voices, his timing, he's hilarious.

00:11:32.340 But tell me this isn't also outstanding political analysis about Donald Trump.

00:11:38.400 And I'm watching the news now, they're declaring the end of the Trump era. Now,

00:11:41.680 okay, I can see how in New York, you might believe this is the end of his era.

00:11:44.840 I'm, I'm just being honest with you. I live in Ohio amongst the poor whites. 1.00

00:11:49.160 A lot of you don't understand why Trump was so popular, but I, I get it because I hear it every

00:11:57.760 day. He's very loved. And the reason he's loved is because people in Ohio have never seen somebody

00:12:04.680 like him. He's what I call an honest liar. Well, I'm not joking right now. He's an honest liar. 0.97

00:12:12.780 That first debate, that first debate, I'd never seen anything like it. I've never seen a white 1.00

00:12:18.460 male billionaire screaming at the top of his lungs. This whole system is rigged, he said.

00:12:25.900 And across the stage was a white woman, Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama sitting over there looking 0.85

00:12:30.280 at him like, no, it's not. I said, now, wait a minute, bro. It's what he said. And the moderator said,

00:12:36.860 well, Mr. Trump, if in fact, the system is rigged, as you suggest, what would be your evidence?

00:12:44.720 Remember what he said, bro? He said, I know the system is rigged because I use it. I said,

00:12:53.920 God damn. And then he pulled out an Illuminati membership card and chopped a line of cocaine up 1.00

00:13:00.880 and did it right at the podium. No one ever heard someone say something that true. And then Hillary

00:13:10.160 Clinton tried to punch him in the taxes. She said, this man doesn't pay his taxes. He shot right back.

00:13:14.680 That makes me smart. And then he said, if you want me to pay my taxes, then change the tax code.

00:13:27.120 You won't. But I know you won't. Because your friends and your donors enjoy the same tax breaks

00:13:33.200 that I do. And with that, my friends, a star was born. No one had ever seen anything like that. No

00:13:42.120 one had ever seen somebody come from inside of that house, outside and tell all the commoners,

00:13:47.460 we are doing everything that you think we are doing inside of that house. They just went right

00:13:53.780 back in the house and started playing the game again. Democrats were sore losers. I'm a Democrat. 1.00

00:14:04.380 I'm telling you, as soon as he won, they started saying all that he's colluding with Russia. He's

00:14:08.520 colluding with Russia. It was very embarrassing as a Democrat. But as time went on, we all came to

00:14:14.900 learn. He was probably colluding with Russia. I enjoyed that. And I did not expect to learn 0.92

00:14:24.140 about Donald Trump to actually learn about him on Saturday Night Live. And I don't think Saturday

00:14:29.220 Night Live did. It seemed to me like his entire monologue was from memory. I don't think there was

00:14:34.400 a script. I don't think it was on the teleprompter. I could be wrong. But I think that he went up there

00:14:39.960 and riffed for 15 minutes. And I don't think he showed anyone when he was about to say. Now,

00:14:45.260 of course, Dave Chappelle is a proud black man and conversations about race and gender and sexuality

00:14:51.860 and difficult subjects like that. He talks about them quite a lot. Here's a very funny joke that

00:14:58.840 you're not allowed to say. But I think those are the funniest jokes. He talks about the atrocious and

00:15:05.720 terrible phenomenon of black people beating up Asian people in America. And there's nothing funny 1.00

00:15:12.800 about that. It's abusive. It is terrible. It's underreported by the media because the only violent

00:15:19.200 people are supposed to be white, racist, beating up black people. And Dave Chappelle made a joke about 0.99

00:15:27.300 that. And I think the joke was funny. Am I allowed to say that? But how he made the joke?

00:15:32.640 Well, that's Dave Chappelle. Take a look. And I hate to say this, but there was a lot of videos,

00:15:37.780 sadly, of black people beating up Asians for no reason. Oh, these attacks were unprovoked. I couldn't 0.98

00:15:43.180 believe it. And I was sitting in the room watching this shit. It was stressing me out. I was stressed 1.00

00:15:46.560 already because the whole time when you get coronavirus, at least the first five days, you wait,

00:15:51.720 see how sick you're going to get. And it turns out, and this is true, I didn't get sick at all. Not a cough,

00:15:56.080 not a booger, not a fever, nothing. Look at me. I am the magic Johnson of coronavirus.

00:16:05.540 I just sat in the crib and got strong all week. But I was stressed because I kept watching these

00:16:10.220 videos of my beloved black people beating up my beloved Asian people and being so cruel. 1.00

00:16:15.300 And the whole time I watched those videos, it was fucked up, but I couldn't help but feel like 0.99

00:16:18.960 when I saw these brothers beating these Asians up, it's probably what's happening inside of my body. 0.99

00:16:26.080 So he's not afraid to say edgy things. And who is in trouble? Who is in Dave Chappelle's

00:16:34.940 stratum but Kanye West, the rapper, the artist, the businessman, who recently had,

00:16:44.120 I think what could be called a meltdown online. He started tweeting about the Jews and saying he was

00:16:49.760 going to go to DEFCON on them. And he issued tweets like this, and he got more and more focused

00:16:56.020 on Jews and the Jews that were out to get him. And Dave Chappelle joked that Kanye was so audacious

00:17:03.120 and outrageous and atrocious that it not only undid Kanye, but it undid Kyrie Irving, an NBA star

00:17:10.800 as well. Take a listen to this joke by Dave Chappelle.

00:17:14.040 I gotta tell you guys, I've probably been doing this 35 years now. And early in my career, I learned that

00:17:23.000 there are two words in the English language that you should never say together in sequence. And those words

00:17:29.220 are the, and jukes. I've never heard someone do good after they said that.

00:17:43.400 Kanye's gotten into some scrapes before, and normally when he, when he's in trouble, I pull up,

00:17:47.440 I pull up immediately. But this time I was like, you know what, uh, let me see what's gonna happen

00:17:51.800 first. I just want to see, I just want to see where this is all going. I can't even remember how it started.

00:18:00.900 Vaguely, I remember it started with a tweet, strange tweet. It was like, uh, I'm feeling a little sleepy.

00:18:10.280 I'm gonna give me some rest, but when I wake up, I'm gonna go DEFCON 3 on the Jews. 1.00

00:18:21.800 And then he just went to bed.

00:18:26.460 I was up all night worried. What is he gonna do to the Jews?

00:18:38.020 I grew up around Jewish people.

00:18:40.620 I have a lot of Jewish friends, so I'm not freaked out by your culture.

00:18:44.080 I know a little bit about it just from hanging around.

00:18:45.720 I'd be like, yo, yo, let's go out after school tomorrow.

00:18:47.580 They'd be like, we can't go out. It's Sha-na-na tomorrow. 0.53

00:18:49.660 I'd be like, where am I?

00:18:51.800 What is Sha-na-na? 0.67

00:18:56.580 I had so many questions.

00:18:58.100 Why do some of your people dress like Run-D.M.C.?

00:19:00.460 Because I ain't got in so much trouble, Kyrie got in trouble.

00:19:03.460 Kyrie Irving posted a link to a movie that he had seen on Amazon.

00:19:21.460 No caption on the post or nothing like that.

00:19:23.800 But apparently this movie had some, I don't know, anti-Semitic tropes or something.

00:19:28.180 It was some weird title, like from Hebrew to Negro or something.

00:19:34.720 And the NBA told me you should apologize.

00:19:36.800 And he was slow to apologize.

00:19:38.700 And then the list of demands to get back in there, good graces, got longer and longer.

00:19:43.100 Well, what's he talking about? 0.58

00:19:44.220 I showed you one of the tweets that Kanye West did about how he's just going to go death con on the Jews.

00:19:50.380 He was talking about Kyrie Irving, a basketball star in New York City in the NBA, who I actually, I mean, listen, I don't follow the NBA.

00:19:59.360 I mean, Toronto has a pretty good team, but I just don't follow that.

00:20:02.780 But I know Kyrie Irving because of his extremely thoughtful, calm, intelligent comments about why he chose not to get vaccinated.

00:20:13.540 Let me show you really when I got introduced to and became a fan of Kyrie Irving.

00:20:19.780 Take a look at this.

00:20:20.520 I didn't appreciate how me being unvaccinated all of a sudden came to be a stigma within my career that I don't want to play or I'm willing to give up everything to be a voice for the voiceless.

00:20:37.240 And which I will stand on here and say that that wasn't the only intent that I had was to be in a voice of the voiceless.

00:20:43.980 It was to stand on something that was going to be bigger than myself and that I was going to understand probably far into the future.

00:20:50.340 You know, I don't I don't know when.

00:20:51.920 I think he described vaccine mandates and freedom of choice better than, again, most political commentators.

00:20:57.760 But the thing is, he made a tweet with no commentary, simply showing a movie that was for sale on Amazon.

00:21:09.240 So he's not selling it.

00:21:11.820 Amazon is.

00:21:12.760 It's called Hebrews to Negroes. 0.98

00:21:15.600 Again, challenging words to use.

00:21:18.160 And it makes the case about the black Hebrew Israelites who claim to be the true Jews. 0.95

00:21:24.780 Jeff Bezos, who owns the Washington Post, is selling this on Amazon.com.

00:21:29.520 All Kyrie did was link to it.

00:21:31.220 And that set in motion a series of condemnations groveling before everyone out there, paying an enormous fine, and essentially having his career implode for a second time.

00:21:51.020 Kanye West and Kyrie Irving, are they allowed to talk about certain subjects?

00:21:56.360 Well, Kanye, no one can stop him.

00:21:58.020 He tweeted about his Jewish personal trainer, which I thought was a strange thing to do.

00:22:05.560 But what he said about the trainer, showing text messages from the trainer about how if Kanye didn't obey him, he would load him up with drugs and put him in a mental hospital and he wouldn't see his kids again.

00:22:18.460 That's a shocking thing, and it looks like an actual text from his trainer, a Jewish man who looks more like a handler than a personal trainer. 0.90

00:22:30.560 As you know, Kanye West was put in a mental hospital or a mental ward a few years ago against his wishes.

00:22:36.560 Here's some headlines about that.

00:22:38.580 Kanye West has had a very challenging time in the last year.

00:22:41.580 He's a fascinating man, I should tell you, that he's no ordinary man.

00:22:47.060 His mother was a Fulbright scholar, a brilliant professor, taught 0.1%, genius, and went to Nanjing, China to teach and brought young Kanye with her.

00:23:01.500 And he was the only non-Chinese person in the class other than his mom.

00:23:06.660 Kanye West, as a child, spoke Chinese.

00:23:11.200 He says he's forgotten most of it.

00:23:13.380 But when he was a boy, he was living in China with his professor mom, speaking Chinese to the Chinese kids.

00:23:20.700 He's not an ordinary person.

00:23:22.360 At a very tender age, he was traveling the world, seeing new things, his mind being full of ideas.

00:23:27.280 He's the son of Donda West, a professor who, by nature, challenges, asks, interrogates, is curious, is skeptical.

00:23:36.400 And Kanye West got in trouble for asking questions and coming to conclusions about the Jews that, quite fairly, could be called anti-Semitic. 0.65

00:23:48.080 Now, I'm going to come back to that later.

00:23:49.760 What's the right way to deal with someone who talks about Jewish conspiracies, conspiracy theories, in Hollywood, in the music business, in entertainment, in sports business?

00:24:01.120 I'll come back to that.

00:24:02.360 But let me get back to what Dave Chappelle did, because Dave wanted to treat this subject, too.

00:24:08.460 But he didn't want to get canceled either.

00:24:10.380 But there was one joke that he said that really hit home to me.

00:24:16.340 What do you talk about, how do you describe a group of black people?

00:24:20.780 How do you describe a group of Italian people?

00:24:24.260 How do you describe a group of Jews?

00:24:26.200 And I thought that was a brilliant point to make.

00:24:29.040 Take a look at this.

00:24:30.540 It's a big deal.

00:24:33.360 The Brooklyn show business rules.

00:24:36.080 It's just a rule.

00:24:36.880 You know, the rules of perception. 0.98

00:24:39.280 If they're black, then it's a gang. 1.00

00:24:41.680 If they're Italian, it's a mob. 1.00

00:24:43.140 But if they're Jewish, it's a coincidence, and he should never speak about it. 0.75

00:24:51.020 It's true, though, isn't it?

00:24:54.100 I mean, even to raise questions about Jewish influence, the questions alone, and there could be good answers, or they could be bad answers, but there could be answers.

00:25:00.960 But even to ask the question has a whiff of anti-Semitism, too.

00:25:04.620 And I understand why.

00:25:05.700 I mean, I'm a Jew myself, and if someone were to say, oh, your money, your power, your journalism, that's, you're part of a Jewish Kabbalah, I'd say, what you're doing is you're denying me my individuality.

00:25:16.380 I'm Ezra Levant.

00:25:17.520 Yes, I'm Jewish, but I'm also right-handed.

00:25:19.760 I'm born in Alberta.

00:25:20.900 I'm a family man.

00:25:22.040 I did this, I did that.

00:25:22.880 I'm many things, and to ascribe to me all my actions, to take away my personal choices as an individual, and say I'm just doing this because I'm a Jew, and I'm acting as some part of a larger organism, like ants in an ant colony that are somehow working in collusion with each other.

00:25:41.460 That takes away my free agency, takes away my meritocracy as a person and as a man.

00:25:46.880 If you were to define everything I did simply as my membership in the Jewish community, my genetic heritage or the synagogue I go to once a year, you would do me an injustice because you would take away any of my successes and ascribe it to my Judaism.

00:26:00.640 And I can assure you there's not.

00:26:05.900 Rebel News talks about countless different subjects, and Jewish themes wouldn't even make the top 50.

00:26:13.460 And so I understand if someone would say, well, the Jews control the media, or the Jews are, yes, there are a disproportionate number of Jews in media and law and medicine and things like that.

00:26:22.680 In the Nobel Prizes, sometimes Jews take great pride in that. 0.57

00:26:26.080 Adam Sandler sings a song about Jews and taking pride in which famous people are Jewish.

00:26:35.900 Remember this song?

00:26:37.920 Put on your yarmulke, here comes Hanukkah. 0.94

00:26:42.660 So much fanukkah to celebrate Hanukkah.

00:26:47.740 Hanukkah is the festival of lights.

00:26:51.280 Instead of one day of presents, we have eight crazy nights.

00:26:57.480 But when you feel like the only kid in town without a Christmas tree, here's a list of people who are Jewish, just like you and me.

00:27:08.700 David Lee Roth lights the menorah.

00:27:16.340 So do Kirk Douglas, James Kahn, and the late Dinah Shurah.

00:27:21.080 Guess who eats together at the Carnegie Deli?

00:27:25.740 Bowser from Shanana and Arthur Fonzarelli.

00:27:30.480 Paul Newman's half Jewish and Goldie Hawn's half two.

00:27:34.340 Put them together, what a fine-looking Jew.

00:27:46.340 You, you don't need Deck the Halls or Jingle Bell Rock.

00:27:53.560 Cause you can spin a dreidel with Captain Kirk and Mr. Spock.

00:27:57.520 Both Jewish.

00:27:59.340 Put on your yarmulke, here comes Hanukkah. 0.94

00:28:03.700 The owner of the Seattle Supersonica celebrates Hanukkah.

00:28:09.400 O.J. Simpson.

00:28:11.440 Not a Jew. 1.00

00:28:13.880 But guess who is?

00:28:15.760 Hall of Famer Rod Carew.

00:28:17.880 He converted.

00:28:19.300 We got Ann Landers and her sister, dear Abby.

00:28:23.940 Harrison Ford's a quarter Jewish. 0.94

00:28:26.180 Not too shabby.

00:28:28.100 Some people think that Ebenezer Scrooge is.

00:28:35.560 Well, he's not.

00:28:36.520 But guess who is?

00:28:37.760 All three Stooges.

00:28:39.840 So many Jews are in showbiz.

00:28:50.900 Tom Cruise isn't, but I think his agent is.

00:28:55.320 Tell your friend Veronica, it's time to celebrate Hanukkah.

00:28:59.660 I hope I get a harmonica on this lovely, lovely Hanukkah.

00:29:04.180 So drink your gin and Hanukkah. 0.83

00:29:06.460 But don't smoke marijuana-ka. 1.00

00:29:08.620 If you really, really want to go.

00:29:11.040 Have a happy, happy, happy, happy Hanukkah.

00:29:15.540 Happy Hanukkah.

00:29:16.340 But that same thing, counting how many Jews won Nobel Prizes and looking at the disproportionate 0.83

00:29:22.080 number, counting how many successful people are Jewish, Jewish people take pride in that.

00:29:27.160 But I suppose it's like owning a stereotype.

00:29:30.820 If you talk about your own community that way, it's fine.

00:29:33.700 But when other people start to do that same thing, it feels uncomfortable.

00:29:37.000 And I know how that would feel.

00:29:39.400 But there was a very powerful thing that Dave Chappelle said that is just plain old true.

00:29:44.560 The Jews have suffered tremendously over the years, but it was not at the hands of American

00:29:49.980 blacks. 0.68

00:29:50.360 I thought that was very poignant.

00:29:51.560 Listen to him say it.

00:29:53.100 I know the Jewish people have been through terrible things all over the world, but you 0.98

00:29:57.680 can't blame that on black Americans. 0.98

00:29:59.540 You just can't. 0.98

00:30:02.560 You know what I mean?

00:30:03.820 Thanks to the one person that said that.

00:30:08.500 A fair punishment would be you should just post a link to Schindler's List and y'all write

00:30:12.000 your own captions. 0.99

00:30:14.560 It's Kyrie Irving's black ass was nowhere near the Holocaust. 1.00

00:30:21.780 In fact, he's not even certain it existed. 0.99

00:30:29.640 I want to play just a little bit more about Dave Chappelle, talking about Kanye West and

00:30:33.940 how he undid himself, how those foolish tweets destroyed more than a billion dollars in business

00:30:40.800 deals and endorsements, including with Adidas. 0.62

00:30:43.660 And Dave Chappelle didn't miss the fact that Adidas was actually founded by a real, actual

00:30:49.420 Nazi.

00:30:50.960 Dave Chappelle found a joke in there.

00:30:52.640 Take a look.

00:30:53.120 He said, I can say anti-Semitic things and Adidas can't drop me.

00:31:00.300 Now what?

00:31:02.680 Adidas dropped that immediately.

00:31:04.020 Ironically, Adidas was founded by Nazis.

00:31:13.300 And they were offended.

00:31:16.540 I guess the students have passed the teacher.

00:31:18.720 He ended, I'm not going to play all of it, but you really should watch all 15 minutes.

00:31:24.580 And he ended with a note about being canceled, but he didn't say by whom.

00:31:29.540 And there was a cleverness there.

00:31:31.420 You could say, oh, he didn't want to mention the Jews because he'd get fired.

00:31:35.200 But maybe he's challenging to say, no, why would you think you would be the Jews?

00:31:39.440 Why are you?

00:31:40.520 Why is your mind going to that?

00:31:42.040 I thought Dave Chappelle did a brilliant job of being funny and entertaining and contrarian

00:31:47.540 and making you think about real things.

00:31:49.840 And I think part of it comes from Dave Chappelle's identity as a black man.

00:31:55.080 He talks about being black a lot.

00:31:56.960 It's a theme he says.

00:31:57.980 I mean, there's this wonderful clip I saw about him saying the difference between being

00:32:02.300 poor if you're black and poor if you're white. 0.60

00:32:04.600 And he's got a very interesting class and race understanding of America is that whites 0.79

00:32:09.620 who are poor say this shouldn't be happening to us.

00:32:11.660 I mean, I thought there's a beautiful poignancy to Dave Chappelle's political observations.

00:32:16.100 Dave Chappelle is obviously a contrarian himself.

00:32:18.820 He would never admit that he's a Republican, but he is a conservative.

00:32:22.700 I'll just tell you that he is.

00:32:24.440 And he's a contrarian.

00:32:26.580 And so I think he feels an affiliation or an affection or a patience or a tolerance for

00:32:31.720 other contrarians.

00:32:33.860 Dave Chappelle is always obviously a brilliant man.

00:32:35.880 You can't be that funny and that perceptive without being brilliant.

00:32:38.400 And so too is Kanye West.

00:32:40.600 I mentioned how he comes from it honestly.

00:32:42.980 And part of being brilliant is to observe patterns. 0.99

00:32:47.260 And you can miss patterns by being stupid or you can miss patterns on purpose by being 0.99

00:32:52.720 politically correct. 1.00

00:32:55.060 Is it politically incorrect to mention how many professional sports players are black?

00:33:00.980 I don't think it is because it's a positive trait.

00:33:04.640 Is it politically incorrect to point out how many Jews there are in Hollywood in the studios

00:33:10.640 as agents?

00:33:11.980 Well, I don't know if you're a Jew taking pride in it, then it's a positive thing. 1.00

00:33:15.020 But what if you're criticizing it?

00:33:16.860 Or what if you're inferring that there's some group decision making going on?

00:33:21.520 Dave Chappelle talked about that.

00:33:22.780 I love the joke about Ferguson, Missouri.

00:33:27.440 Well, I've been to Hollywood.

00:33:29.860 No one wants y'all to get mad at me.

00:33:31.120 I'm just telling you, I've been to Hollywood.

00:33:32.980 This is just what I saw.

00:33:34.020 Well, it's a lot of Jews. 0.97

00:33:43.360 Like a lot.

00:33:47.780 But that didn't mean anything.

00:33:49.140 You know what I mean?

00:33:49.700 There's a lot of black people in Ferguson, Missouri. 0.99

00:33:51.700 Doesn't even run the place. 0.98

00:33:52.740 I could see if you had some kind of issue, you know what I mean?

00:34:04.240 You might go out to Hollywood and your mind might start connecting some kind of lines

00:34:08.100 and you could maybe adopt the delusion that the Jews run show business.

00:34:13.220 It's not a crazy thing to think.

00:34:16.560 But it's a crazy thing to say out loud in a climate like this.

00:34:19.740 Look, I've been a fan of Kanye West for a long time.

00:34:23.920 I truly find his music amazing.

00:34:26.400 I can't believe how productive he is, what a fountain of ideas he is, how artistic he is,

00:34:30.700 how many styles he has, his command of the vocabulary.

00:34:34.160 I think one sign of intelligence is the size of your vocabulary.

00:34:37.460 And I think Kanye West is a lot brighter than maybe he lets on.

00:34:42.680 But what happens if someone is brilliant and perhaps troubled

00:34:46.840 and perhaps hopped up on medicine prescribed to him by his handler

00:34:50.460 and stressed out by a divorce

00:34:52.640 and the sight of his ex-wife and children

00:34:57.660 with a discreditable successor?

00:35:01.320 What about a man like that who's stressed

00:35:03.600 and contrarian and skeptical?

00:35:06.440 And he starts asking questions about the fact that everyone

00:35:09.700 who happens to be involved in his demise

00:35:12.420 just happens to be Jewish.

00:35:15.180 Now, I'm sure many of the people who helped his rise

00:35:19.640 in showbiz and commerce were Jewish, too.

00:35:23.980 But if everyone who is attacking him,

00:35:25.940 or at least a disproportionate number of the people

00:35:28.060 who were attacking him,

00:35:29.900 from his business associates to his personal trainer,

00:35:32.700 just happened to be Jewish,

00:35:35.580 I'm sure someone could intellectually say,

00:35:37.800 well, that's just a coincidence.

00:35:39.000 That wasn't the motivation for their attacks.

00:35:41.820 Well, what would happen if you were attacked 0.98

00:35:45.020 by a group of people who all happened to be black? 0.97

00:35:48.840 Even if it was just a coincidence

00:35:50.420 and their blackness had nothing to do with the attack,

00:35:52.440 how could you not think this is a function 0.96

00:35:55.860 of their being black?

00:35:56.840 I think that's what happened to Kanye West.

00:36:00.200 I think he's in such a stressful position.

00:36:02.960 And every time he floats an idea,

00:36:06.740 a controversial, contrarian idea,

00:36:08.740 he's jumped on by people who are proving

00:36:11.340 his hypothesis is true,

00:36:13.380 proving you can't talk about something.

00:36:17.160 You know, I've seen this with other people

00:36:18.700 who are independent thinkers, contrarians.

00:36:20.840 I've seen, for example, questions about the Holocaust.

00:36:24.020 Did six million Jews really die?

00:36:26.120 Now, I know that that is true.

00:36:28.440 When I went to grade school at Jewish school

00:36:30.780 when I was a kid in the 70s, my teachers,

00:36:33.680 two of them, were Holocaust survivors.

00:36:37.280 I know that this happened from their personal stories.

00:36:40.120 I know this happened because I've studied history.

00:36:42.600 I know this happened because I've been

00:36:43.820 to a Nazi death camp.

00:36:46.260 And I know this because I've been

00:36:48.060 to Holocaust museums in Washington, D.C.

00:36:51.260 and in Israel at Yad Vashem.

00:36:52.800 I know this to be a fact without a doubt.

00:36:55.980 But that's because I was born in 1972,

00:36:58.840 not in the year 2000.

00:37:00.760 I know this because I'm Jewish

00:37:01.920 and I went to the Jewish school I just described.

00:37:03.840 What if that is not your experience?

00:37:06.320 How do you know the Holocaust happened 0.88

00:37:08.540 and six million died?

00:37:10.620 Well, you don't know, either than you read it.

00:37:12.340 But can you ask a skeptical question

00:37:14.440 without being jumped on?

00:37:15.480 What if someone simply didn't know?

00:37:17.780 And they said, well, how do you know it's six million

00:37:19.540 and not five million or not seven million?

00:37:21.820 And how do you answer these skeptical questions

00:37:27.340 or challenges?

00:37:29.140 Those answers, even if they're asked

00:37:31.340 with a little bit of edge,

00:37:33.280 are probably legitimate questions

00:37:35.260 from someone who doesn't grow up

00:37:36.740 knowing those things.

00:37:38.620 It would be like a white person 0.99

00:37:40.240 who doesn't know the history of slavery

00:37:42.660 and the history of Jim Crow laws.

00:37:44.400 You might ask a question, a genuine question,

00:37:47.160 but the question might come out 1.00

00:37:48.300 a little aggressive or mean or stupid. 0.99

00:37:50.460 But you just genuinely want to know 1.00

00:37:52.720 about those things.

00:37:54.820 And if asking a question

00:37:56.240 in a not perfect way

00:37:58.340 gets you jumped on by people,

00:38:01.300 that confirms all of your suspicions.

00:38:03.300 And here's my point.

00:38:04.700 I think Conway A. West

00:38:05.980 is a deeply intellectual people.

00:38:07.920 He studies, he reads.

00:38:10.560 He reads different sources.

00:38:12.340 You know, he was tweeting pictures

00:38:13.900 a year ago of him himself

00:38:15.960 watching Jordan Peterson videos.

00:38:18.880 You know, philosophical videos.

00:38:21.620 Here's an outtake from about a year ago

00:38:24.780 when he was deeply Christian.

00:38:26.820 He was going on tour

00:38:28.060 with a hundred backup singers

00:38:30.180 doing a kind of religious service.

00:38:35.060 Take a look at him talking to James Corden,

00:38:37.280 who couldn't even believe it.

00:38:38.880 Here's a few clips of Kanye West

00:38:40.540 talking about his deep intellectual belief

00:38:43.200 in Christianity.

00:38:44.240 Yes, and God's always had a plan for me

00:38:47.160 and he always wanted to use me.

00:38:50.360 But I think he wanted me to suffer more

00:38:53.700 and wanted people to see my suffering

00:38:56.480 and see my pain

00:38:58.280 and put stigmas on me

00:39:01.240 and have me go through all the experiences,

00:39:04.160 the human experiences.

00:39:05.760 So now when I talk about how Jesus saved me,

00:39:08.960 more people can relate to that experience.

00:39:10.980 If it was just, oh, we grew up with this guy's music

00:39:13.980 and now he's a superstar,

00:39:16.020 it's less compelling than,

00:39:18.200 oh, this guy had a mental breakdown,

00:39:19.660 this guy was in debt,

00:39:20.760 this guy's been through, you know,

00:39:23.220 not been through,

00:39:24.060 but this guy has a beautiful five years of marriage,

00:39:26.480 which, you know,

00:39:27.600 marriage years are different than human,

00:39:29.500 like, you know, dog years,

00:39:30.500 what is it, seven years?

00:39:31.760 See, yeah, why a marriage is different than human years?

00:39:33.760 Every marriage is like a hundred years.

00:39:35.440 It's like 500 years of marriage.

00:39:37.440 Look, Kanye West is very smart.

00:39:40.280 Wouldn't it be better to have

00:39:41.480 an intellectual conversation with him

00:39:44.000 instead of an attack on him?

00:39:45.900 I think that he was going in the wrong direction.

00:39:48.340 I think he was going in an edgy-seminic direction.

00:39:50.880 But the answer wasn't to smash him

00:39:52.940 and to prove his conspiracy theories right 0.91

00:39:56.800 by having Jews de-platform him 0.97

00:39:59.200 and there were Jews involved in those de-platformings.

00:40:01.620 Wouldn't the answer have been kindness and education

00:40:04.620 and say, well, here's actually the real answers

00:40:06.600 to your question.

00:40:08.000 And, you know, there is a phenomenon here,

00:40:10.940 but here's how we would answer it.

00:40:12.340 There's nothing, you know,

00:40:14.240 cosmically or eternally evil about the Jews.

00:40:18.380 Like just to give him an answer

00:40:20.980 other than the one he has been taught secondhand,

00:40:24.080 which is, yes, the Jews control what you can say 0.95

00:40:26.340 and will prove this because challenging them,

00:40:28.900 you will lose everything you have.

00:40:30.580 He's a polymath.

00:40:32.260 He's an independent thinker.

00:40:33.400 He's a leader.

00:40:35.900 Millions of black people,

00:40:37.440 especially black men, look up to him

00:40:38.980 because they see he's smart and successful.

00:40:41.380 And for heaven's sakes, he married Kim Kardashian

00:40:44.060 and he's a star rapper.

00:40:47.660 I mean, he was a leader. 0.89

00:40:48.680 And to take him and smash him down

00:40:50.780 because he strayed from the path,

00:40:53.500 I think, I do not think that he was deeply wedded

00:40:56.560 to his anti-Semitic comments.

00:40:58.020 I think he was trying them out,

00:41:00.160 brainstorming them, floating them out there.

00:41:02.380 But the reaction to him was so heavy-handed

00:41:06.020 that it cemented those as his final views.

00:41:09.080 Now he's being destroyed.

00:41:11.580 And Kyrie Irving, huh. 0.81

00:41:14.220 And maybe they'll take a run at Dave Chappelle next.

00:41:16.420 I don't know.

00:41:17.720 And what have they proved?

00:41:19.600 The people who ripped up his contracts,

00:41:21.920 humiliated him, condemned him as an anti-Semitic.

00:41:25.340 Well, they proved his theories to be correct

00:41:27.600 about things you can't talk about.

00:41:29.440 Dave Chappelle did his best to talk about them

00:41:32.380 without getting canceled.

00:41:33.940 Be interesting to see if he gets away with it.

00:41:35.860 I'm not defending anti-Semitism.

00:41:37.580 I just know that there are many people out there

00:41:40.860 who have questions about the Jews

00:41:42.380 the same way they have questions about the blacks 0.88

00:41:44.160 and women and transgender people.

00:41:47.020 And just because you ask a question in a rough way

00:41:49.200 or even a way that's prejudiced

00:41:50.540 doesn't mean that's deeply in your heart.

00:41:52.200 But now Kanye West has lost everything

00:41:55.680 and a million black men have seen what happened to him.

00:41:59.020 I don't think they've disproved Kanye West's theory

00:42:02.100 about Jews controlling the media. 0.89

00:42:04.120 I think they've actually proved it.

00:42:05.800 Even if it doesn't exist,

00:42:06.920 well, they just made it true.

00:42:08.860 What do you think?

00:42:10.600 Stay with me for more.

00:42:11.500 Well, there's this cult classic.

00:42:24.320 It's a comedy with Nicolas Cage,

00:42:25.820 I don't know, about 20 years ago,

00:42:27.180 called Raising Arizona.

00:42:29.580 And it was just a great show.

00:42:31.480 Here's some B-roll of it.

00:42:34.140 If you know it, you know it.

00:42:35.600 And it was such a great character play.

00:42:38.180 We have a website called Watching Arizona

00:42:43.080 because we are riveted by the fact

00:42:46.240 that a state in a first world country

00:42:48.180 like the United States

00:42:49.420 is now at the one week mark

00:42:53.340 and they have yet to finish counting the ballots,

00:42:57.140 more than 100,000 ballots not yet counted.

00:43:01.320 And wouldn't you know it

00:43:02.660 that the political officer

00:43:05.480 in charge of counting the votes in that state,

00:43:09.360 the title is the Secretary of State,

00:43:12.240 just happens to be the Democrat

00:43:14.040 who's running for governor

00:43:15.960 and is just a hair ahead

00:43:19.620 of her Republican challenger.

00:43:21.980 What on earth is going?

00:43:23.720 Well, we are Watching Arizona.

00:43:25.940 We've set up a website

00:43:27.240 called WatchingArizona.com

00:43:30.060 and our eyes and ears on the ground.

00:43:33.940 Well, there belong to our friend Katie Davis-Court,

00:43:37.140 our Seattle-based Rebel News reporter

00:43:39.200 who joins us now in Phoenix, Arizona.

00:43:42.380 Great to see you again, Katie.

00:43:44.440 Yes, thank you for having me on.

00:43:46.380 Well, it's my pleasure.

00:43:47.160 Now, there you are in front of a big building.

00:43:50.100 That's the County Tabulation Center.

00:43:54.240 Am I right?

00:43:54.820 That's where all the votes

00:43:56.200 are taken from all over the city,

00:43:58.360 maybe even all over the county

00:44:00.220 and put in that big warehouse

00:44:01.500 and slowly counted, right?

00:44:03.520 Yes, you're absolutely correct.

00:44:06.600 It seems that history

00:44:07.940 is repeating itself here in Maricopa County.

00:44:11.120 As you can see behind me,

00:44:12.560 this is the Maricopa County's

00:44:13.880 Election Tabulation Center.

00:44:15.760 And the same thing is happening here

00:44:17.500 in 2022 as it did in 2020.

00:44:21.000 And people are absolutely fed up

00:44:22.960 with how this county

00:44:23.720 is running their elections.

00:44:25.140 I saw your report over the weekend.

00:44:27.260 And one gentleman pointed out

00:44:28.980 that instead of counting the votes

00:44:30.980 at the local precinct level,

00:44:34.660 you know, they have different names

00:44:36.580 for that in different countries.

00:44:39.880 You know, a district could be broken up

00:44:42.220 into a hundred or more precincts.

00:44:45.560 In Canada, that's called a poll.

00:44:48.060 And there might only be a couple

00:44:49.520 of hundred votes for each precinct

00:44:51.160 or each poll.

00:44:51.820 And those traditionally

00:44:53.540 are counted by the people there,

00:44:56.600 scrutinized there.

00:44:58.180 They never leave the room.

00:44:59.860 They never leave what's called

00:45:01.400 the chain of custody.

00:45:03.400 You have scrutineers watching it.

00:45:05.840 It's counted that night

00:45:06.960 because you're not counting

00:45:07.720 a million votes.

00:45:08.420 You're just counting a few hundred

00:45:09.480 or maybe a thousand

00:45:10.700 in your little poll area,

00:45:12.760 your little precinct.

00:45:13.460 And you phone in the results.

00:45:15.540 But I saw one fella 0.92

00:45:16.780 say that each ballot

00:45:19.000 in that tabulation center

00:45:20.700 has been handled

00:45:21.740 by six different people.

00:45:25.140 And here it is a week later.

00:45:26.780 Who knows what's happened

00:45:28.400 inside that building

00:45:29.560 in the last week?

00:45:31.140 Right.

00:45:31.700 You know, it's like law enforcement

00:45:33.980 when they have evidence,

00:45:35.600 they tell no one to touch anything

00:45:37.360 because the chain of custody

00:45:38.960 gets disrupted.

00:45:40.280 And that is what's happening here.

00:45:41.920 After you vote,

00:45:42.820 all of the votes get shipped

00:45:44.060 to this Maricopa County

00:45:45.780 tabulation center.

00:45:47.020 But not just that.

00:45:47.900 They are also contracting services

00:45:50.460 out from other printing centers

00:45:52.500 where they're also feeding

00:45:53.860 through the ballots

00:45:54.720 and counting the ballots there

00:45:56.540 and then loading

00:45:57.500 whatever they find

00:45:59.100 after they tabulate the ballots

00:46:01.300 on Penske trucks,

00:46:02.520 which are then also getting shipped

00:46:04.260 to Maricopa County.

00:46:05.500 So I don't think that you can even

00:46:07.280 investigate the chain of command

00:46:10.000 at this point.

00:46:10.680 It's just too many people.

00:46:13.680 You know, it's very interesting

00:46:14.980 because, of course,

00:46:15.580 none of that is proof

00:46:16.800 that tampering

00:46:18.360 or vote rigging is happening,

00:46:19.800 but all of it is opportunities

00:46:21.560 for vote rigging to happen.

00:46:24.040 And every day of delay

00:46:25.840 makes it more suspicious.

00:46:27.620 I mean, mighty states

00:46:28.940 like Texas and Florida.

00:46:30.200 Well, heck, even California,

00:46:31.960 New York counted their ballots

00:46:33.320 the night of.

00:46:34.620 It's called Election Day,

00:46:35.840 not Election Week

00:46:36.860 or Election Month

00:46:37.720 or Election Season.

00:46:39.220 I don't know.

00:46:40.020 I find it,

00:46:41.060 if I was an Arizonan,

00:46:42.240 I would be embarrassed

00:46:43.360 and I would say

00:46:44.200 this looks terrible,

00:46:45.380 but the local officials

00:46:47.520 just keep smiling

00:46:48.680 and saying,

00:46:49.280 yeah, sorry,

00:46:50.000 but this is how it is.

00:46:51.920 What's the mood out there?

00:46:53.340 Is this,

00:46:54.100 is everyone in on it?

00:46:55.420 Like, like,

00:46:55.960 I guess if you're a Democrat,

00:46:57.480 you sort of nudge,

00:46:58.420 nudge, wink, wink.

00:46:59.240 Oh, I know what's going on.

00:47:00.460 No problem.

00:47:01.620 Is it only Republicans

00:47:02.760 who are upset by this

00:47:03.780 or are other Democrats saying,

00:47:06.040 whoa, this is not the way

00:47:07.180 to run a democracy in 2022?

00:47:08.680 No, I have,

00:47:10.880 I've yet to hear Democrats

00:47:12.060 say anything negative

00:47:13.980 about how Maricopa County

00:47:15.300 is running their elections.

00:47:16.600 There has been protests

00:47:17.640 outside of the center

00:47:19.440 and one is going to be happening soon,

00:47:21.120 which is why I'm out here

00:47:21.780 on the ground right now.

00:47:22.880 But the people,

00:47:24.120 the Republicans are angry.

00:47:26.400 They are infuriated

00:47:27.440 and they feel disenfranchised.

00:47:29.340 When they showed up

00:47:29.860 to the polls on Tuesday,

00:47:31.520 they were told

00:47:32.900 that the machines were down

00:47:34.080 and the machines

00:47:34.900 were malfunctioning

00:47:36.240 in more than 26 locations

00:47:37.680 not just across the state,

00:47:40.260 but in Maricopa County.

00:47:41.820 26 point locations

00:47:43.160 in Maricopa County

00:47:44.280 had issues

00:47:45.060 with their machines that day.

00:47:46.460 And when lawyers went

00:47:48.260 before a judge

00:47:49.060 and requested point stations

00:47:50.420 to stay open later

00:47:51.800 so people could vote,

00:47:52.940 they turned that down.

00:47:54.380 So they have been showing up

00:47:56.000 sporadically outside

00:47:57.060 the Maricopa County

00:47:57.980 Election Center

00:47:58.700 to make their voices heard

00:48:00.320 because they are,

00:48:01.500 they have had it

00:48:02.140 with how they're running

00:48:02.960 the elections.

00:48:04.060 And mind you,

00:48:05.120 the protesters

00:48:05.600 that are showing up,

00:48:06.640 they have remained

00:48:07.320 peaceful.

00:48:08.420 You know,

00:48:08.920 mainstream media

00:48:09.960 wants there to be

00:48:10.660 another January 6th moment.

00:48:12.240 That is not going

00:48:13.060 to be happening here

00:48:13.960 in Maricopa County

00:48:15.340 because they are just

00:48:17.340 inching for that to happen.

00:48:18.660 But the protesters

00:48:19.340 that have shown up

00:48:20.080 have remained peaceful.

00:48:21.220 They are just stating

00:48:21.940 that they don't agree

00:48:23.180 with how the election

00:48:23.920 is being handled.

00:48:25.200 It's an absolute joke

00:48:26.660 that we are approaching

00:48:28.120 a week.

00:48:28.660 Tomorrow it will be

00:48:29.600 one week.

00:48:30.600 And there are still

00:48:31.140 over 100,000 ballots

00:48:32.700 left to be counted.

00:48:33.980 Absolute incompetence

00:48:35.040 happening here

00:48:35.560 in Maricopa County.

00:48:36.920 You know,

00:48:37.700 there's a bit

00:48:38.080 of chutzpah.

00:48:39.160 This is democracy failing.

00:48:41.780 Like you have one job,

00:48:43.900 count the votes.

00:48:44.980 The chutzpah

00:48:45.680 for the folks

00:48:46.380 who are breaking

00:48:47.420 the vote counting

00:48:48.660 to accuse others

00:48:49.720 of being anti-Democrat,

00:48:51.780 anti-Democratic

00:48:52.720 insurrectionists 0.95

00:48:53.400 is crazy.

00:48:54.160 You mentioned

00:48:54.900 that the judges

00:48:56.460 said we will not

00:48:57.460 extend voting hours

00:48:58.600 despite broken

00:48:59.540 election machines

00:49:00.400 because God forbid

00:49:01.860 we give Republicans

00:49:02.780 an extra half an hour

00:49:03.980 to vote

00:49:04.480 but we can wait

00:49:06.180 a week

00:49:06.920 for them to be counted

00:49:08.300 but we can't wait

00:49:09.380 half an hour

00:49:10.120 even though the

00:49:11.040 voting machines

00:49:11.520 are done.

00:49:11.780 I want to play

00:49:12.280 a bit of a video clip

00:49:13.240 from this Laurel

00:49:14.720 and Hardy Act,

00:49:15.680 these two comedians

00:49:17.540 who were election

00:49:18.560 officials on election

00:49:19.740 day say,

00:49:20.360 oh, sorry guys.

00:49:21.820 You know,

00:49:22.140 it's only 20% of polls.

00:49:23.620 Take a look at these guys.

00:49:24.960 How on earth

00:49:25.840 do they still have

00:49:26.760 a job today?

00:49:27.640 Take a look.

00:49:28.340 Hello, Maricopa County.

00:49:29.400 I'm Bill Gates,

00:49:30.280 the chairman

00:49:30.700 of the Maricopa County

00:49:31.900 Board of Supervisors.

00:49:33.520 And I'm Stephen Richard,

00:49:34.540 the Maricopa County Recorder.

00:49:36.400 And we're here

00:49:37.080 to give you an update

00:49:37.960 on how things are going

00:49:38.960 so far with the election.

00:49:40.280 We've already had

00:49:41.140 almost 44,000 people

00:49:43.240 show up this morning,

00:49:44.880 check in,

00:49:45.780 and be available to vote.

00:49:47.960 And things are going

00:49:48.720 great out there

00:49:49.360 but there's one thing

00:49:50.300 that we wanted to address

00:49:51.500 to make people aware

00:49:52.720 of today

00:49:53.260 and that has to do

00:49:54.500 with our tabulators.

00:49:56.100 We've got about 20%

00:49:57.540 of the locations

00:49:58.400 locations out there

00:49:59.660 where there's an issue

00:50:01.540 with the tabulator

00:50:02.480 where some of the ballots

00:50:04.020 that after people

00:50:04.880 have voted them,

00:50:05.880 they try and run them

00:50:06.720 through the tabulator

00:50:07.720 and they're not going through.

00:50:09.840 But the good thing is,

00:50:10.920 is we do,

00:50:11.740 first of all,

00:50:12.380 we're trying to fix

00:50:13.120 this problem

00:50:13.780 as quickly as possible.

00:50:15.180 And we also have

00:50:16.280 a redundancy in place.

00:50:17.800 If you can't put the ballot

00:50:19.540 in the tabulator,

00:50:20.660 then you can simply

00:50:21.800 place it here

00:50:22.780 in where you see

00:50:24.420 the number three

00:50:25.240 and this is a secure box

00:50:27.660 where those ballots

00:50:28.900 will be kept

00:50:29.800 for later this evening

00:50:31.160 where we'll bring them

00:50:32.140 in here to central count

00:50:33.580 to tabulate them.

00:50:35.160 So this would function

00:50:36.140 much like early voting functions

00:50:37.900 in that we would

00:50:38.820 get your ballot back

00:50:39.820 once we've signature verified it,

00:50:41.860 we would send it

00:50:42.600 to our central tabulators.

00:50:44.460 Ballots that are in here

00:50:45.540 will already be,

00:50:46.980 in effect,

00:50:47.460 signature verified

00:50:48.340 so we won't need

00:50:49.100 to confirm identity

00:50:50.020 but we will

00:50:50.800 central tabulate them.

00:50:51.980 This is actually

00:50:52.720 what the majority

00:50:53.400 of Arizona counties

00:50:54.500 do on election day

00:50:56.340 all the time.

00:50:57.980 And just one thing

00:50:58.980 to keep in mind,

00:50:59.820 we have 223 vote centers

00:51:02.320 across the county.

00:51:03.840 So if there are lines

00:51:05.460 at the location you're at

00:51:06.840 or issues with the tabulator,

00:51:08.620 if you would prefer

00:51:09.360 to go to another location,

00:51:11.000 you can do that.

00:51:12.020 Doesn't matter where you go

00:51:13.300 as long as you're

00:51:14.100 a registered voter

00:51:14.840 here in Maricopa County.

00:51:16.600 Thanks so much

00:51:17.360 and everybody

00:51:18.020 if you haven't yet,

00:51:19.000 get out and vote.

00:51:19.960 You know,

00:51:20.440 I just,

00:51:21.280 I just don't think

00:51:23.040 that they would

00:51:24.200 get away with that

00:51:24.980 if they were Republicans

00:51:26.220 ragging the puck

00:51:27.780 to protect

00:51:28.540 a Republican incumbent.

00:51:29.740 I've later learned

00:51:30.820 that those two men

00:51:32.360 actually set up

00:51:33.120 an anti-Trump super PAC.

00:51:35.560 So you've got

00:51:36.020 the Secretary of State

00:51:37.240 in charge of the elections

00:51:38.880 who happens to be

00:51:39.540 a Democrat candidate. 0.98

00:51:41.100 Those two goofy guys 0.97

00:51:42.580 who say sorry, 0.97

00:51:43.520 we can't tabulate the votes,

00:51:46.560 they happen to be

00:51:47.480 anti-Trump activists.

00:51:48.720 This really is

00:51:50.180 how a banana republic goes. 0.53

00:51:51.900 I'm disappointed in Arizona.

00:51:54.520 I love the state.

00:51:55.860 I haven't spent

00:51:56.240 a lot of time there.

00:51:57.020 But this is embarrassing.

00:51:58.440 I guess they don't

00:51:59.120 find it embarrassing

00:51:59.860 because they'd rather win

00:52:02.280 through embarrassing shenanigans

00:52:04.180 than lose cleanly.

00:52:06.340 That's the feeling I'm getting.

00:52:08.320 Yeah, absolutely.

00:52:09.480 And you know,

00:52:09.940 those two men

00:52:10.540 that you just mentioned,

00:52:11.540 they are right behind me

00:52:12.680 in this building

00:52:13.340 and they are actually Republicans.

00:52:16.020 Both of them

00:52:16.780 are Republicans

00:52:17.760 and they launched that pact

00:52:20.240 to get rid of MAGA Republicans. 0.67

00:52:23.200 So they said

00:52:24.200 because they,

00:52:26.140 Maricopa County,

00:52:27.080 they were at the height

00:52:28.340 of national headlines

00:52:29.200 in 2020

00:52:29.940 for their incompetence

00:52:32.820 of that election.

00:52:34.340 And so when audits

00:52:35.640 happened in Maricopa County,

00:52:37.120 they were at the forefront

00:52:38.220 of defending

00:52:39.500 how they handled

00:52:41.020 the election then.

00:52:41.960 And so anyone

00:52:42.600 like Carrie Lake 0.74

00:52:43.580 that comes in and says,

00:52:44.580 I'm going to instill

00:52:46.140 voter integrity laws

00:52:47.980 in the state

00:52:48.580 so people feel like

00:52:49.840 their voices

00:52:50.700 are being heard.

00:52:52.380 They have formed

00:52:53.800 that pact

00:52:54.280 to specifically

00:52:54.980 get rid of candidates

00:52:56.360 like Carrie Lake 0.74

00:52:57.560 and now they are

00:52:58.500 intentionally releasing

00:53:00.220 Democrat heavy precincts

00:53:01.780 ballots first.

00:53:02.760 And you also have

00:53:03.220 Katie Hobbs in there,

00:53:04.280 the Secretary of State

00:53:05.860 who is Carrie Lake's

00:53:07.160 Democrat opponent.

00:53:08.160 It is just absolute

00:53:09.060 shady shenanigans

00:53:10.080 happening here.

00:53:10.820 And it just,

00:53:12.300 it's setting the precedent

00:53:13.480 for, you know,

00:53:15.120 I live in Washington State.

00:53:16.800 The same thing

00:53:17.420 is happening in Oregon.

00:53:19.100 We have all mail-in ballots

00:53:20.500 and our votes

00:53:21.340 are also still being counted.

00:53:23.540 And when you don't decide

00:53:25.940 winners on election night,

00:53:27.400 it just opens the door

00:53:28.660 to fraudulent activity.

00:53:30.580 Yeah.

00:53:30.880 You know, and by the way,

00:53:31.900 the fact that you say

00:53:32.920 the Democrat is in there

00:53:34.840 in her capacity

00:53:36.280 as vote overseer,

00:53:38.320 Secretary of State,

00:53:39.040 but she's actually

00:53:40.100 on the ballot

00:53:41.120 as the governor.

00:53:42.060 I can't even believe

00:53:42.720 that conflict of interest.

00:53:43.960 And by the way,

00:53:44.420 the Democrats have called

00:53:45.420 that a conflict of interest

00:53:46.560 in the past.

00:53:47.660 Here's Obama's 0.88

00:53:48.360 Attorney General railing

00:53:50.080 against a Republican

00:53:51.620 that was in the same situation.

00:53:53.500 Take a look at this.

00:53:54.460 Now, you think about this.

00:53:57.560 This is a guy

00:53:58.320 who's running for governor

00:54:00.200 while he is

00:54:01.320 the Secretary of State.

00:54:02.520 Thank you.

00:54:09.040 That's like LeBron James

00:54:12.740 suiting up for the Lakers

00:54:13.920 and telling everybody

00:54:15.720 in the game

00:54:16.300 that he wants to referee

00:54:17.240 the game

00:54:17.820 in addition to playing

00:54:18.860 for the Lakers.

00:54:22.060 LeBron's actually

00:54:22.780 a better ball player

00:54:23.620 than this guy

00:54:24.180 as the Secretary of State.

00:54:25.260 I want to make that clear.

00:54:27.040 But that's not right.

00:54:28.980 That's just not fair.

00:54:30.260 You can't do both.

00:54:31.620 He needs to resign.

00:54:32.680 Now, he is trying

00:54:36.680 to rig the system.

00:54:39.160 He's going to do

00:54:39.780 everything he can

00:54:40.640 to try to rig the system.

00:54:43.320 But that doesn't...

00:54:43.920 I don't know.

00:54:44.500 I can't help think

00:54:45.820 that the only reason

00:54:46.720 that they're getting away

00:54:47.580 with this

00:54:47.960 is because the media

00:54:49.060 is what I call

00:54:50.680 the media party.

00:54:51.800 The media is just

00:54:52.560 an affiliate

00:54:53.120 of the Democrats.

00:54:54.240 There is literally

00:54:55.720 nothing the Democrats

00:54:56.720 can do

00:54:57.240 that the media

00:54:57.700 won't apologize for

00:54:58.860 or excuse.

00:54:59.880 And there's nothing

00:55:00.640 that the Republicans

00:55:01.720 can do

00:55:02.220 that's right

00:55:03.980 other than criticize Trump.

00:55:05.820 I'm depressed by this.

00:55:07.300 If you had to guess,

00:55:09.680 does the Republican

00:55:10.560 have a chance here

00:55:11.620 or is it all over?

00:55:13.960 You know,

00:55:14.680 I think that's the question

00:55:16.040 of the century.

00:55:17.100 I don't trust

00:55:18.120 these elections

00:55:18.780 in Maricopa County.

00:55:19.980 I think they're doing

00:55:20.660 everything they can

00:55:21.640 to make Katie Hobbs 0.99

00:55:24.400 the winner.

00:55:26.040 Carrie Lake

00:55:26.480 is down 1.5%.

00:55:27.980 There's still

00:55:28.580 about 100,000 ballots

00:55:30.620 left to be counted.

00:55:31.480 They say that it is

00:55:32.820 for Republican

00:55:33.660 heavy precincts.

00:55:35.020 But I think

00:55:36.060 that I will be surprised

00:55:38.100 if Carrie Lake

00:55:38.840 wins at this point.

00:55:40.100 Yeah.

00:55:40.520 You know,

00:55:40.920 every day they delay

00:55:41.920 it erodes trust.

00:55:43.100 It's just shocking.

00:55:44.100 Katie Davis,

00:55:44.600 great to see you.

00:55:45.540 Thanks for running,

00:55:46.640 watching Arizona,

00:55:48.920 watching Arizona.com.

00:55:51.100 I made a little pun

00:55:52.040 about that earlier,

00:55:52.880 but that's where

00:55:54.140 all your reports are,

00:55:55.080 right?

00:55:56.060 Yes, it is.

00:55:56.780 Go to

00:55:57.040 watching Arizona.com,

00:55:58.560 you guys,

00:55:59.240 and make sure

00:55:59.860 you pitch in

00:56:00.400 a couple dollars

00:56:00.960 so you guys can get

00:56:01.980 the frontline

00:56:02.680 reportings here

00:56:03.380 in Arizona.

00:56:04.220 Right on.

00:56:04.700 Thanks for being there,

00:56:05.360 my friend.

00:56:05.800 Take care.

00:56:07.060 Thank you.

00:56:07.800 All right,

00:56:08.140 there you have it.

00:56:08.580 Katie Davis scored,

00:56:09.520 our American correspondent

00:56:10.680 from Seattle,

00:56:12.320 watching Arizona.com.

00:56:14.220 Stay with us.

00:56:14.720 more ahead.

00:56:26.300 The thing about my comments

00:56:27.620 on Kanye West,

00:56:28.540 they didn't script them.

00:56:29.420 I just put some notes down

00:56:30.480 and I thought I'd riff.

00:56:31.580 You know,

00:56:32.100 I have a friend

00:56:33.020 who worked at a very prominent

00:56:35.660 national TV station

00:56:36.820 in the United States,

00:56:37.780 and he was like the only

00:56:39.060 Republican in the entire place

00:56:41.940 because it was all Democrats.

00:56:43.920 He was just the only

00:56:44.980 identifiable Trump Republican

00:56:46.980 and he had just been signed

00:56:48.140 on for a second season

00:56:49.540 and then Trump won

00:56:51.680 and the entire industry,

00:56:53.560 comedy,

00:56:54.240 arts,

00:56:54.800 entertainment,

00:56:55.580 were so outraged by this.

00:56:57.080 They were appalled

00:56:58.080 and shocked

00:56:58.720 and they were lashing out

00:56:59.660 and my friend was the only

00:57:01.780 conservative in the whole company

00:57:03.880 and he had been signed

00:57:05.620 for a second season

00:57:06.480 and they basically tore it up

00:57:07.800 because he was a Republican,

00:57:10.420 a conservative,

00:57:10.940 and I was skeptical.

00:57:12.040 I thought maybe that was sour grapes,

00:57:13.420 but he showed me

00:57:14.060 that it was the truth.

00:57:16.700 And the people who undid him

00:57:18.360 also happened to be Jewish.

00:57:19.980 I think what motivated them

00:57:21.300 was that they were left-wing

00:57:23.080 liberal Democrats

00:57:23.940 who supported Hillary Clinton

00:57:25.320 and hated Donald Trump.

00:57:26.880 The fact that they were Jewish

00:57:28.080 I think was secondary,

00:57:29.120 but when a group of people

00:57:30.500 came to defenestrate him,

00:57:33.020 he couldn't help but noticing

00:57:34.140 that they were Jewish

00:57:35.140 and it would be very unusual

00:57:38.160 or very difficult to say,

00:57:39.580 well, everyone who just got me sacked

00:57:41.500 was Jewish,

00:57:42.740 but I know that was a coincidence.

00:57:44.800 What was actually driving them

00:57:45.920 was their Democrat,

00:57:47.520 liberal Hillary Clinton motivations. 0.90

00:57:50.220 First of all,

00:57:50.820 it doesn't make it any better.

00:57:51.780 He lost his contract.

00:57:53.200 And second of all,

00:57:54.620 would you really believe that

00:57:55.820 if seven people from,

00:57:57.860 I don't know,

00:57:59.660 Columbia all did that to you?

00:58:01.420 You would think of it

00:58:03.000 as a Colombian thing

00:58:04.020 if there's seven Quakers.

00:58:05.980 I'm just making things up.

00:58:07.060 Did that to you?

00:58:07.780 You would think of it

00:58:08.200 as the Quakers

00:58:08.760 because you would say,

00:58:09.980 well, yeah,

00:58:10.320 maybe it is all coincidental,

00:58:11.760 but it sure didn't feel that way.

00:58:13.940 I guess what I'm saying is

00:58:15.260 in our cancel culture

00:58:16.780 and our microaggression

00:58:18.420 hair-trigger culture, 0.99

00:58:19.580 if someone says something dumb 0.99

00:58:21.060 or anti-Semitic 0.99

00:58:21.840 or racist or anti-trans,

00:58:23.700 if you really want to correct them,

00:58:27.140 appeal to them intellectually

00:58:28.080 or appeal to their better angels

00:58:29.960 or try and talk them out of it, 0.98

00:58:31.340 but to smash them 1.00

00:58:32.200 and to destroy them, 0.99

00:58:33.460 you have not changed their mind.

00:58:35.440 You've shown how righteous you are,

00:58:37.280 maybe,

00:58:38.380 but I think you've cemented them

00:58:39.800 in their views.

00:58:41.320 I think a lot of people

00:58:42.680 who believe in conspiracy theories,

00:58:45.240 the moment they're shut down

00:58:46.640 for saying that conspiracy theory

00:58:48.980 is the moment they feel

00:58:50.280 that they've been vindicated

00:58:51.420 and that conspiracy theory 0.98

00:58:52.440 has been proved.

00:58:53.820 I think the thing

00:58:55.280 that makes a conspiracy theorist

00:58:56.720 abandon their theory

00:58:57.920 is if no one cares

00:58:59.280 and no one stops them

00:59:00.340 and they're just ignored

00:59:01.300 and no one tries to censor them,

00:59:03.180 if you try to censor someone,

00:59:04.860 you're implying

00:59:05.540 that what they're saying

00:59:06.280 is powerful

00:59:06.960 and therefore true.

00:59:09.320 Anyway,

00:59:09.600 I'm upset what they did

00:59:10.420 to Kanye West

00:59:11.140 because I think that

00:59:12.040 he is not a deeply hateful man.

00:59:14.020 I think he was musing

00:59:15.800 and brainstorming

00:59:16.840 and they destroyed him for it.

00:59:18.720 It makes me sad.

00:59:19.760 What do you think?

00:59:20.420 Do you think I'm being

00:59:21.080 too excuse-oriented

00:59:22.540 for Kanye West?

00:59:23.520 I saw some of the people

00:59:25.380 I really admire

00:59:26.200 equate what he said

00:59:27.640 to Nazism. 0.53

00:59:28.480 I do not think so.

00:59:30.000 I think that's just someone

00:59:31.180 who's uncomfortable

00:59:31.960 with the issue of Jewish influence

00:59:34.720 in Hollywood being discussed.

00:59:36.940 I think it's going to be discussed.

00:59:38.740 The only question is

00:59:39.580 do you answer it

00:59:40.620 or do you smash it? 0.79

00:59:42.300 If you smash it,

00:59:43.200 you're just going to drive it underground.
