Rebel News Podcast - EZRA LEVANT ｜ Doug Ford’s $29-million gravy plane

00:00:00.000 Hello, my friends. Doug Ford got elected because his brother, Rob, was known as a taxpayer's

00:00:06.440 advocate. Well, it's so gross. Today, Doug Ford announced he's buying a $30 million private jet 0.91

00:00:13.000 for his own use. So, so gross. We'll take you through all the details. But first, let me invite 0.57

00:01:14.140 and orders up a private jet.

00:01:16.600 It's April 17th, and this is The Ezra LeVant Show. 0.97

00:01:22.580 Shame on you, you censorious thug. 0.69

00:01:28.020 Hey, it's great to be back at the studio. 0.95

00:01:36.760 Yesterday, I was in Ottawa with our dear friend, Sheila Gunn-Reed, our chief reporter,

00:01:41.280 who was invited to testify before a House of Commons committee on media.

00:01:46.680 And she did such a good job.

00:01:49.180 I'm glad we were able to show you so much of it yesterday.

00:01:52.360 You know, I've just been thinking about that nonstop since yesterday.

00:01:54.980 And what it means, not just for Rebel News and the Independent Press Gallery and Sheila, but just the idea of freedom-based media.

00:02:04.160 And for Sheila to go there with such a strong presentation, to be invited there by the committee, and even the Bloc Québécois' attempt to attack her.

00:02:13.580 She handled herself so well. 1.00

00:02:16.420 And what a contrast to the panhandler media there.

00:02:20.500 And you could say, as you panhandle, you're always asking for donations.

00:02:23.340 Well, yeah, voluntary donations from people who want to support us, not shaking down governments for subsidies that take it from your pocket of tax time. 0.55

00:02:32.760 I was so proud of the contrast between Sheila and her message and her dignity and the beggar journalists there who really only care about getting free money. 0.81

00:02:43.060 And that one from the Canadian Media Guild who was calling for censorship of critics. 0.99

00:02:47.860 Anyhow, I don't mean to rehash what I said yesterday, but I've been thinking about it a lot.

00:02:51.560 And I hope you're as proud of Sheila and, frankly, of our freedom journalism as I am.

00:02:57.720 Okay, well, one of the things that happens when you're independent and don't take any government money is you're beholden to no one.

00:03:05.140 If there is a state broadcaster owned by the province of Ontario, for those of you outside Ontario, you probably don't know that there's something called TVO, TVO Ontario, and a French version of it, too, that are like the federal government, CBC.

00:03:20.220 Can you imagine that? An extra layer of government broadcasters. So obviously they would be careful

00:03:26.460 about criticizing Doug Ford because that's where their money comes from. Of course, we take no

00:03:30.800 money from any government, so we'll call it like we see it. And I think the first thing to note is

00:03:35.860 that the province of Ontario has become a have not province. Can you believe it? The mighty

00:03:41.360 industrial heartland of steel mills and auto factories. Well, those industries in particular

00:03:47.780 are in retreat. The whole country is actually in a recession that has been hidden by mass

00:03:53.380 immigration. What I mean is that on a per capita basis, our income is declining. We're getting

00:03:58.880 poorer. But by bringing in a million foreigners every year, it just juices the overall stats. So 1.00

00:04:05.520 we're each getting a smaller slice. The pie is sort of the same size, but just because

00:04:11.460 of mass immigration. But Ontario is in decline. And I just, I don't just mean in terms of crime

00:04:18.780 and wokeness and schools. Apparently some schools only have 50% attendance and that's normal.

00:04:25.020 But the loss of the industrial sector, I mentioned steel. You might remember I went up to the

00:04:29.740 steel mills in Sault Ste. Marie, just shutting down. And part of it is Donald Trump's tariffs.

00:04:37.740 But listen, it's been a 30-year decline in heavy industry in Canada.

00:04:42.400 The auto sector, again, 30-year decline.

00:04:45.300 Donald Trump and his commerce secretary, Howard Lutnick, have said, look, they want those

00:04:51.120 factories in America, not in Canada and Mexico.

00:04:55.040 It's a tough one.

00:04:55.960 It's a tough one to fight.

00:04:57.260 I'm not blaming anyone, certainly.

00:04:59.180 I'm just noting that Ontario is doing poorly.

00:05:03.120 The province bet massively on electric vehicle batteries.

00:05:07.060 Just a crazy thing for the government to get into.

00:05:10.120 And now Doug Ford himself has this wacky approach to the trade war with the United States.

00:05:15.500 You're not going to win a trade war.

00:05:17.340 Maybe you can win a trade negotiation, but not if you're trying to embarrass the U.S.

00:05:21.820 president every day.

00:05:23.640 Anyways, that's the backdrop.

00:05:25.680 Ontario is not doing well economically.

00:05:27.800 The cost of living for young people is so high.

00:05:31.140 It's literally having an effect on the marriage rate and the childbirth rate.

00:05:35.600 If you can't get married and can't start a family because you can't afford a house, that is a civilizational level damage that the poverty is doing.

00:05:45.280 And that's what's happening in Ontario.

00:05:46.900 So with that as the backdrop, the crime wave, the taxes, the wokeness, the brokenness, Doug Ford announces, well, he didn't announce it, it's leaked, that he's getting himself a new jet.

00:05:59.480 and not just any jet a luxury intercontinental jet now i could understand a plane for hopping

00:06:07.880 around ontario i really could but this is a luxury product the kind of thing that maybe a rock star

00:06:14.220 would have it's a challenger 650 it's built with the kind of range to fly to london england it's

00:06:20.480 not for puddle jumping around ontario now i understand that jets are not just for status

00:06:26.860 they are a tool for super busy executives i absolutely get that i mean for example they're

00:06:33.140 not bound by commercial schedules they go when you're ready to go and that means that you can

00:06:39.520 have meetings and as soon as the meeting is done you can go to the next meeting you don't have to

00:06:44.640 worry about being late or early for a flight for people who are talking about confidential business

00:06:49.840 which would include the premier they're secure you can go straight to the you know they have a

00:06:55.580 very private lounge, but you're not waiting there long. You get on the plane and you're not

00:07:00.240 sitting next to strangers. Hey, by the way, I don't know if you saw this, but I got on the

00:07:05.280 plane coming back from Ottawa yesterday and who sat down next to me but Michael Ma, the Chinese

00:07:11.720 spy. Take a look at this selfie I took. I said, can I take a selfie with you? He didn't know who

00:07:16.860 he was. He said, yes. He said, what do you do in Ottawa? I said, I run Rebel News. He went silent

00:07:22.720 And for the rest, that's the Chinese spy, the guy who flipped from conservative to liberal.

00:07:28.700 Anyways, sorry for that.

00:07:29.920 But my point is, you never know who you're sitting next to on a plane.

00:07:33.180 So if you're the premier or a fantasy executive, you can't speak confidentially.

00:07:40.240 So there is a business case for Jets.

00:07:43.620 And they're not just for rock stars and sports heroes.

00:07:47.160 They are for busy people who use them as a tool.

00:07:49.700 Time is money.

00:07:50.540 I'm not sure if that really applies to the premier.

00:07:53.180 He's not like an executive who has to have a torrential schedule.

00:07:58.240 I just don't think he is.

00:08:00.380 And the giveaway is the luxury international part.

00:08:03.520 If you really are flying around Ontario, I think that's good for the premier to do.

00:08:08.500 You don't need a 4,000 nautical mile luxury jet for that.

00:08:12.280 You just don't. 0.81

00:08:13.680 And the entitlement and the of course I need it-ness of this is so gross.

00:08:19.820 And I remember the Doug Ford won election on the back of his late brother, Rob Ford.

00:08:26.660 It was Rob Ford who made the city and the province of Ontario and indeed the whole country fall in love with his attack on what he called the gravy train.

00:08:36.800 Let me show you. I'm not going to play the whole thing, but I'm going to play a few minutes of it.

00:08:41.500 One of the most powerful, endearing videos I have ever seen of the late Rob Ford.

00:08:46.520 and I don't care what city you're in, Torontonians will instantly feel nostalgic. But if you're in

00:08:51.740 Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary, Montreal, watch this guy. This was when Rob Ford was a city council.

00:08:57.860 He wasn't the mayor yet. And he was showing what he means by the gravy train, making a list of all

00:09:04.400 the freebies and perks and the little thefts that city councilors get. I shouldn't say theft because

00:09:10.540 it was all legal that was what so was so gross about it look at rob ford and remember why everyone

00:09:17.700 loved rob take a look all the free passes for counselors i call them free perks that are tax

00:09:25.180 free which is costing the taxpayers millions of dollars so let's start off um free zoo pass

00:09:34.060 Toronto Zoo VIP pass.

00:09:36.900 The VIP named on this card and his or her family will be granted parking, admission and rides at the Toronto Zoo without charge.

00:09:45.120 I can bring everybody and my family here to the zoo for free.

00:09:50.320 The average person has to pay $15, $20 to get in, $10 or $15 to park, $5 or $10 a ride.

00:09:58.820 The poor average family is paying $200.

00:10:01.180 Counselors that are getting paid $100,000 get to get in for free.

00:10:05.760 It's absolutely wrong.

00:10:07.640 That's just the tip of the iceberg.

00:10:09.040 Let's get on to some other stuff here.

00:10:11.900 Metro passes.

00:10:13.780 Here's a Metro pass.

00:10:15.820 This is equivalent to $1,300 a year.

00:10:19.660 Again, counselors make $100,000 a year.

00:10:23.000 I take home $1,400 a week net.

00:10:26.400 Why should counselors get a free Metro pass?

00:10:30.420 The TTC is dying for money. We've just increased fares, 25 cents. The average person out there, the poor working student or the poor working senior that has to get out there and get on the bus every day has to pay $3.

00:10:44.260 But we, the councillors, get on the bus for free. This should be eliminated immediately.

00:10:49.540 the parking passes parking we can go to any parking lot in the city of toronto and park for

00:11:00.700 free the friday night saturday night and all the counselors say is oh well we're doing city business

00:11:07.420 well when i ask you know what time are these passes being used at or what day are these passes

00:11:12.180 being used at they aren't going to give me that information but it's taxpayers money years and

00:11:17.000 years and years of parking passes. So when the average person has to go to Rogers Center to

00:11:21.940 watch a Blue Jay game or go to the theater on King Street or go out for dinner, they have to

00:11:25.920 pay $20 or $25. Counselors get the park for free. This is absolutely wrong. This should be eliminated

00:11:34.280 immediately. Let's move on. Exhibition. Exhibition. We get in the X when it's on for free. We get the

00:11:42.560 park for free. The average person, you go to the ex during August and September, costs $10, $15

00:11:48.560 to get in. Parking's $10, $15. Counselors who get paid $100,000 a year get to go in for free

00:11:56.380 and bring their family in for free. How's that right? The taxpayers are paying for that too.

00:12:04.340 Conservation passes. So if you want to go up to Algonquin Park or go to a park in the summer

00:12:10.000 go camping you have to pay 30 40 dollars to get in to the campgrounds not counselors counselors

00:12:17.440 get to go in for free here's all the conservation saying you can go in take your family come

00:12:23.600 camping any park in ontario for free on the back it says the person named here then together with

00:12:30.160 a vehicle and its occupants are entitled to a day entry into any conservation area in ontario

00:12:35.680 without charge again taxpayers are paying for it rob ford what a great man may he rest in peace i'm

00:12:43.760 so sorry he's gone rob ford should have been the premier not his slick brother doug ford who won

00:12:51.760 on rob's reputation falsely you want to see what doug ford reminds me of this pastor a christian

00:13:00.240 pastor spending tens of millions of dollars on a private jet have you ever seen this clip before

00:13:07.200 i'm not missing that dedication in jerusalem without the airplane that we have that i bought

00:13:13.280 from tyler perry and i didn't pay anywhere tyler's one of the greatest guy he made it

00:13:19.360 he made that airplane so cheap for me i couldn't help but buy it do you ever use your private jets

00:13:25.760 to go visit your vacation homes, for example.

00:13:28.300 Yes, I do.

00:13:29.640 Okay. Again, getting back to the comment.

00:13:32.140 You said that you don't like to fly commercial

00:13:34.140 because you don't want to get into a tube

00:13:35.980 with a bunch of demons.

00:13:37.440 Do you really believe that human beings are demons?

00:13:40.140 No, I do not. And don't you ever say I did.

00:13:45.620 We wrestle not with flesh and blood,

00:13:49.280 but principalities and powers.

00:13:51.420 Yeah, that's Doug Ford.

00:13:53.320 By the way, Doug Ford was not always like this.

00:13:56.280 He had more of Rob in him before.

00:13:58.640 Here's Doug Ford boasting about not using the premier's plane.

00:14:03.980 Take a look.

00:14:05.020 I'm the only premier.

00:14:07.020 I'm the only premier in history that refuses to use the premier's plane.

00:14:12.000 The King Air that costs the taxpayers hundreds of thousands of dollars.

00:14:16.100 I prefer to drive around and talk to the people about things not matter.

00:14:21.600 Yeah, that was a long, long time ago.

00:14:25.360 I mentioned how some executives use business jets not for status, but for productivity.

00:14:32.060 And Walmart is famous for that.

00:14:33.860 Walmart has actually quite a large jet fleet.

00:14:37.360 It's not just for their C-suite people, CFO, CEO.

00:14:41.480 It's for busy executives.

00:14:43.180 And again, it's not for status.

00:14:45.120 These executives are often required to share a hotel room with other executives.

00:14:49.560 That's how cost conscious Walmart is.

00:14:52.740 They use the jet so they can hop one, two, three, maybe even four cities in one day,

00:14:58.480 as opposed to one city, because you're going to the airport, you're waiting around, etc.

00:15:03.900 You know, Walmart has this whole way of getting regional managers to stop by every Walmart,

00:15:10.680 I don't know, once a week or something.

00:15:12.100 So it's a way of really staying connected.

00:15:15.480 That is not what Ford is doing.

00:15:17.360 Doug Ford is not up at Attawapascad and up at Sudbury, and he's not doing that every week,

00:15:25.160 which is what Walmart does. He's not barnstorming the problems. This is all about status, not

00:15:32.020 productivity. He could use a small plane, especially one that gets into smaller centers.

00:15:37.860 That I think I would support. And he's done that before, actually. I will eat my hat if this is

00:15:46.260 not abused this is i'm so certain of it doug ford being in a class of people hanging out with people

00:15:52.800 who are wealthier than him because they've made their money in the private sector and they have

00:15:56.940 private jets and he's also he's hanging out with his best buddy mark carney who flies in private

00:16:02.080 jets only and i think he's feeling jealous and i think he not only wants to travel in luxury style

00:16:09.100 within ontario but i am certain i'll bet my hat that he's going to use this for his friends and

00:16:15.360 his families and his donors and to go up to the lake. And he'll say, oh, the police say I need

00:16:20.560 to fly in the intercontinental jet for security. He's done private flights before, but look at

00:16:27.360 this one. Check out this plane he was in. This was the OPP. This was a police airplane he used

00:16:33.580 to fly to Windsor. Take a look at that. That is not a luxury aircraft. It's probably comfy,

00:16:40.460 but it's not big enough that you can stand in and walk around. It's not the kind of thing that

00:16:44.540 You're drinking champagne with your buddies and taking selfies.

00:16:48.960 That is a working plane.

00:16:50.780 And he used that to fly to Windsor, which is a pretty big city.

00:16:53.960 And you could fly from Toronto to Windsor on a commercial jet,

00:16:57.220 but I can understand the case for flying in that private aircraft.

00:17:00.480 Again, it leaves when the premier's ready, comes back when he's ready.

00:17:04.220 He avoids waiting in, you know, I would support that.

00:17:08.460 but do you see the difference between that propeller driven opp that's the ontario

00:17:14.660 provincial police aircraft to windsor and the luxury jet he's blind um i don't have a problem

00:17:21.320 with a little propeller plane it probably saves him an hour on each side and he's not flying it

00:17:26.080 to vegas i can assure you you know um doug ford has been thinking about upgrading at the uh

00:17:33.300 government's expense for a while let me read you this story bonnie crombie rejects doug ford's

00:17:38.280 claim. She flies on private jet of her buddy, the developer. So this was a sparring match where 0.59

00:17:44.420 Doug Ford was accusing his political rival of flying private. I think Ford has some kind of

00:17:50.900 inferiority complex, said a developer who calls Convry a friend. Oh, isn't that the truth? Let me

00:17:56.880 read just a little bit. The premier took a shot at Bonnie Crombie in question period, alleging the 1.00

00:18:01.760 newly elected leader has been, quote, too busy flying around on the private jet of her buddy,

00:18:07.980 the developer that everyone knows who this developer is. Yeah. I think Doug Ford is the

00:18:15.140 king of the developers. I got nothing against developers. They are incredibly important in

00:18:19.080 the economy and they earn their money. I think Doug Ford wants his own jet as opposed to just

00:18:26.740 bumming the rides off his friends. You know, the crazy thing is Doug Ford thinks he can become

00:18:30.820 prime minister. He's repeatedly said that Mark Carney is his best buddy. He totally supports

00:18:36.660 Mark Carney. Throughout the federal election, he didn't just not campaign with Pierre Polyev.

00:18:42.720 He actively and regularly undermined and attacked Pierre Polyev, creating a psychology, a group

00:18:50.240 psychology of Polyev can't win. Look, even Doug Ford is attacking him from within. It was nonstop.

00:18:56.360 And by the way, it still continues. And I think Doug Ford constantly provokes Trump,

00:19:02.400 which is a bizarre thing to do in doing trade negotiations. I think he's trying to precipitate

00:19:06.620 a reaction from Trump

00:19:08.600 so he can be Captain Canada

00:19:10.460 just like Mark Carney is. 0.98

00:19:13.260 Doug Ford is awful.

00:19:15.260 And I think if Rob Ford was around, 0.96

00:19:17.440 I think he would be appalled

00:19:18.420 at what his brother has become.

00:19:20.760 Hey, by the way,

00:19:21.480 my friend David Menzies

00:19:22.520 is really working on this issue.

00:19:24.700 We've got a petition

00:19:25.560 at stopthegravyplane.com.

00:19:29.960 Feel free to go over and sign it.

00:19:32.080 Hey, stay with us.

00:19:33.100 More on this

00:19:33.660 with the Taxpayers Federation.

00:19:36.620 Well, I want to start off by saying I do not begrudge a busy executive the use of private

00:19:46.620 aircraft. Where appropriate, as I mentioned in my monologue, Walmart, which is a very cost-conscious

00:19:52.500 company, and in some ways a very humble company, uses private jets as a business tool. They send

00:19:58.540 their regional managers around to as many as four different cities in a day, something that would

00:20:03.540 be impossible to accomplish at that speed or even at that cost through commercial aircraft but they

00:20:10.400 don't they don't fly international luxury 30 million dollar jets that could go from toronto

00:20:18.060 to london they're just little puddle jumpers that are going around in in a region this is a luxury

00:20:24.540 purchase and joining us now to talk about the inappropriateness of such libertine spending

00:20:32.440 is our friend Noah Jarvis, who's the Ontario Spokesman for the Canadian Taxpayers Federation,

00:20:38.000 and he joins us from Ottawa. Noah, great to see you again. I don't want to come across as someone

00:20:43.720 who says, well, no, the Premier should take the bus, because I can imagine his time is valuable,

00:20:49.360 and he can't really hang out for an hour in advance of a plane because he needs to talk

00:20:53.740 confidentially. I'm not trying to be holier than thou, but the luxury intercontinental jet,

00:21:00.800 there is no business case for that that's my view what do you think no you're exactly right

00:21:06.700 Ezra there is no justification for buying a luxury private jet you know at the end of the day

00:21:13.180 the four government is supposed to be representing Ontario taxpayers it's supposed to be a fiscally

00:21:18.200 responsible government according to their own words but when you're buying a 29 million dollar

00:21:24.720 private jet uh it just actually tells a much different story and this is in within a context

00:21:31.080 of the ontario government borrowing 25.8 billion dollars this year the government is broke they

00:21:38.260 have un money and they're billing taxpayers for a 29 million dollar jet that's not a responsible

00:21:43.820 use of taxpayer dollars at all you know the transformation of doug ford from the guy who

00:21:50.440 was fighting the gravy train that was actually never doug ford that was his late brother rob

00:21:54.340 for it but i it was just a few years ago where he would stand up in the provincial parliament and

00:21:59.800 rail against the liberals and rail against anyone who used private jets and in government life

00:22:05.700 and here he is making excuses for it it reminds me of that great book by orwell my favorite book by

00:22:11.200 orwell is 1984 but a close second is animal farm which is a great uh starter book for anyone who

00:22:17.260 wants to get into orwell and it was just like it sounds an animal farm and the animals sort of

00:22:23.900 socialized at a revolution and one of their mottos was all animals are equal but then by the end of

00:22:30.340 the book it was some animals are more equal than others which is such an orwellian phrase and here

00:22:37.740 we have the and and in that book and i'm almost done my analogy forgive me for going on at length

00:22:42.400 noah there was this moment where the the pigs who had led the revolution started to look like the

00:22:48.280 farmer they revolted against and here we have Doug Ford who used to be Mr. Oh fight the gravy train

00:22:54.900 isn't that funny he's the guy with the gravy plane I just there's it feels like a a case study for

00:23:03.520 term limits or for something I don't know I just he has drifted so far away no don't stop me I'm

00:23:10.720 ranting but I just I think he's repudiated everything he everything conservative he used

00:23:17.160 to stand for absolutely i mean back in 2019 uh premier ford proudly stood up in the legislature

00:23:24.100 and proclaimed that he would never use the uh taxpayer uh premier's jet but now this guy is

00:23:30.660 buying a new luxury jet for 29 million dollars and it's not just the jet you know before uh he

00:23:37.560 became premier when he was campaigning for the job he said that he would end the gravy train

00:23:42.200 for political parties by ending Ontario's political welfare program.

00:23:46.800 Guess what?

00:23:47.200 Not only did Premier Ford refuse to end the political welfare program,

00:23:51.600 he actually made it permanent.

00:23:53.940 This was also the same Premier who said he was going to end corporate welfare.

00:23:58.200 Well, guess what?

00:23:59.180 Ontario is now the corporate welfare king of confederation.

00:24:03.080 They doled out $11.9 billion in corporate welfare last year.

00:24:07.840 So the Premier Ford has really backtracked on a lot of his commitments

00:24:11.740 that he made back in 2018 and 2019 almost all of them were commitments that would have that would

00:24:18.120 respect taxpayer dollars yeah you know i just i just keep thinking of that animal farm um

00:24:23.740 i i want to think a little bit about how one becomes jealous and i think we covet that that

00:24:33.580 we see so i i think that doug ford looks around and he sees the federal liberals flying around

00:24:40.540 in all those jets not just mark carney but any cabinet ministers grabbing a jet i think that

00:24:46.100 doug ford hangs out with ultra wealthy developers and i have nothing against them but they're flying

00:24:51.340 in jets i think doug ford is in these high society circles where everyone's flying in private jets

00:24:57.800 and he's saying hey how come i'm not and i think that part of this is he wants he really now

00:25:03.380 identifies with the super elite in life not ordinary people he's certainly not a populist

00:25:08.900 anymore. And I tell you, I just know in my bones, he's going to, he's going to want to use this

00:25:17.320 luxury jet for personal reasons to bring his family around, to go up to the cottage. I think

00:25:23.780 we've got to keep an eye on him. I think we've got to check the passenger manifest. I think we've

00:25:29.160 got to check the itineraries because, and by the way, this guy just sprang it on the world. He just

00:25:34.220 announced it no debate no vote just boom ta-da i i think he's i think he is fully turned into

00:25:43.080 a justin trudeau type liberal and we got to watch for him taking a billionaire island vacation that's

00:25:49.220 next he's gonna be for all we know he is already no i'm i'm ranting because i'm mad at this i feel

00:25:55.400 like this guy is a false advertiser when he calls himself a conservative cosplaying the life of the

00:26:01.980 rich and famous, this one right here. You know, it is really incredible how he's backtracked on

00:26:08.160 his promises to be fiscally responsible with taxpayer dollars. I mean, the premier doesn't

00:26:12.820 need a jet. The past premiers didn't need jets. He didn't need a jet for the first seven and a

00:26:17.340 half years in office. And now all of a sudden, a jet is just so imperative. Look, even like

00:26:23.360 very important people who travel overseas all the time don't need jets. Our foreign affairs minister

00:26:29.040 frequently travels commercially when they are going overseas to meet with foreign dignitaries.

00:26:35.760 Even the Finnish president was spotted recently flying commercials.

00:26:40.400 So, I mean, like, Premier Ford is not in that position.

00:26:43.640 He's not a foreign affairs minister.

00:26:44.740 He's not a head of state.

00:26:45.940 He's a provincial premier.

00:26:48.100 The vast majority of premiers don't have a private jet.

00:26:51.260 It's only Quebec.

00:26:52.000 And Quebec is probably one of the more fiscally irresponsible provinces in the country.

00:26:56.980 you know just because your friend is jumping off a cliff doesn't mean you should go and join them

00:27:00.460 yeah and and if he has to go to london or frankfurt or whatever occasionally fine buy a business class

00:27:06.240 ticket so we get some sleep and can do some work but that is you know a fraction a sliver of a

00:27:12.820 fraction of the cost of buying a jet i don't know i think this is gross i'm actually rooting for the

00:27:18.300 opposition in ontario which i don't normally do i love how they're using the phrase the gravy plane

00:27:23.740 at takeoff on the Ford family's use of the gravy train.

00:27:27.400 Well, no, I'm really glad you're out there

00:27:29.140 and the Taxpayers Federation

00:27:30.200 because I know you guys are true watchdogs

00:27:33.360 in every good sense of that term.

00:27:35.760 Thanks for coming on our show

00:27:36.800 and I really hope you keep his feet to the fire on this thing.

00:27:40.420 And I think it looks so bad.

00:27:42.200 I think when Ontarians and all Canadians

00:27:44.420 are sort of hurting for him just to say,

00:27:46.600 well, I deserve it.

00:27:47.820 It's a gift.

00:27:48.380 I'm doing, I'm having a me day.

00:27:50.440 I deserve it.

00:27:51.220 As you point out, he's cosplaying as an executive.

00:27:54.260 All his friends who have private jets, they earned it. 0.66

00:27:57.080 He's just taking it, and I think it's gross.

00:27:59.940 Keep at it, my friend.

00:28:00.860 Keep at it.

00:28:02.240 Well, thank you for having me on, Ezra.

00:28:03.580 I really appreciate it.

00:28:04.440 All right, there is Noah Jarvis from the Ontario wing of the Canadian Taxpayers Federation.

00:28:10.220 Stay with us.

00:28:11.000 Your letters to me next.

00:28:17.640 Hey, welcome back.

00:28:18.520 I mentioned Sheila in Parliament and some of you mentioned it too. Here's letters from Sarah

00:28:24.300 Islano who says, well done Sheila Gunn-Reed for representing the people with transparency and

00:28:29.580 truth. Even though they couldn't answer during the end and cut her off, speaks for itself that

00:28:34.860 they were afraid of the truth. Yeah, it was so weird. They kept having audio issues when Sheila

00:28:40.360 started to speak. I was listening to the exact same interpreters in my earpiece. It was the same

00:28:46.780 exact system. I didn't hear a problem. It's funny how they only had a problem when Sheila was

00:28:51.540 speaking. They were trying to cut her off. Russ Doudswell says, this is likely the most important

00:28:57.380 issue for the survival of this country. Sheila has explained this with great clarity and needs

00:29:01.360 to become viral. This article needs to be viewed by every Canadian. I'm glad you feel that way. I

00:29:07.200 mean, I'm proud of Sheila and Rebel News and the Independent Press Gallery, but it's more than

00:29:11.760 that it's bigger than that this is about can you even trust your journalists if they're on the

00:29:18.120 payroll of the government i don't think you can and that one super gross canadian media guild

00:29:23.540 journalist wasn't just calling for money but calling for the censorship of rivals it was there

00:29:30.280 all and you could see with your own eyes joe citizen 7463 says cbc doesn't even allow taxpayers

00:29:37.580 to post comments on the YouTube channel, despite our generous funding. Isn't that interesting? I

00:29:42.580 mean, I occasionally go to CBC YouTube, but I don't recall seeing that. I totally believe you,

00:29:46.700 by the way. Yeah, they hate when mere citizens have something to say. Remember, they're aiming

00:29:52.860 just for one viewer, Mark Carney. As long as they please him, they know they're fine. We have to

00:29:58.380 listen to all our viewers because we're viewer supported and it shows. That's our show for the

00:30:03.900 day. Until next week, boy, the week went by quickly for me, at least from all of us here

00:30:10.620 to you at home. Good night and keep fighting for freedom.
