00:00:00.320 Hello, my friends. Have you heard of the DSA, the Democratic Socialists of America?
00:00:05.760 It's like a political party, but it's actually not. It's invaded the Democratic Party.
00:00:12.140 And they're winning primaries. They are putting radical socialists and communists in the Democratic Party and winning.
00:00:20.360 Take a look at New York City. I'll take you through some of their crazier ideas and show you some of their crazier candidates.
00:00:25.760 and they are winning my friends but first let me invite you to become a subscriber to rebel news

00:00:55.860 but it really helps us out because we take no money from the government and it shows.
00:01:15.660 Tonight, a radical fringe of the Democratic Party is winning important primaries in the
00:01:21.660 United States. Let me introduce you to America's socialists, just as crazy as our own NDP. It's 0.94
00:01:28.060 August 11th. This is the Ezra LeVant Show. You know, for decades, Democrats and Republicans
00:01:48.400 had a general consensus of what America should look like on big issues. I mean, generally a free
00:01:55.160 market, limited immigration, containing the Soviet Union and its proxies, defending Israel as a
00:02:03.560 bulwark in the Middle East, supporting the U.S. Constitution. Of course, they disagreed on details,
00:02:09.880 but it was more a question of a degree than on fundamentals. By the way, that's a criticism of
00:02:15.780 Republicans as much as anything. So many Republicans accepted Democrat ideas of big
00:02:21.280 government, but just a little bit of a slower implementation of it. But I really think that
00:02:26.960 kind of thinking is dated now. I don't think that's what America's like in 2026,
00:02:33.200 partly because we're now at a full generation of wokeism, having taken children from grade one
00:02:39.860 through to grade 12 through to university through to a master's degree a full lifetime of
00:02:46.440 indoctrination so it used to be mainly in universities is now wherever grown-ups are
00:02:53.260 in the courts in the media in institutional businesses and of course in politics and add
00:02:59.320 to that mass immigration and you've got a powerful coalition on the left that is winning i mean
00:03:06.320 And Zoran Mamdani's win in New York City is an obvious example.
00:03:10.940 And he's just, you saw the other day, his proposal for government-run grocery stores like they had in the Soviet Union.
00:03:19.560 He's promoting third worldism and threatening to arrest the Israeli prime minister when he next lands in New York.
00:03:26.700 He's gone radical.
00:03:29.080 And I promise you, he is not even the craziest one of them.
00:03:32.300 It's all across America.
00:03:33.660 I mean, just this week, Abdul El-Sayed won the Democratic primary in Michigan for the U.S. Senate.
00:03:40.200 He is so radical, he refused to say he agrees with the killing of Iran's radical Ayatollah because he doesn't want to upset his base.
00:03:51.860 20 weeks ago, when Iran's supreme leader was killed, you told your staff, according to audio obtained by the Washington Free Beacon,
00:03:57.980 quote, there are a lot of people in Dearborn who are sad today. So like, I just don't want to
00:04:01.880 comment on Khamenei at all, unquote. I thought that quote was interesting because the Ayatollah
00:04:08.880 has killed tens of thousands of innocent Iranians, not to mention the proxies that Iran has funded
00:04:16.120 that have killed innocent civilians all over the Middle East. Why were you worried about
00:04:20.460 offending people who support the Ayatollah? Jake, on a day where we're mourning the loss
00:04:26.080 of two more service members in a war we never should have fought,
00:04:29.280 I think all of us ought to step back and ask whether or not everybody in Michigan,
00:04:32.540 frankly, everybody in America, shouldn't be sad about the fact
00:04:34.760 that this president, backed by the prime minister of a foreign government,
00:04:39.400 took us to a war we had no business fighting in. 0.92
00:04:42.280 So, yeah, I didn't want to comment on it then because it's a ridiculous pretext.
00:04:45.660 And now you're asking me about the Ayatollah, who's dead, by the way,
00:04:48.000 and you're not asking me about the service members who've died.
00:04:50.560 You're not asking me about whether or not this war should have ever been fought.
00:04:53.240 You're not asking me about whether or not the costs that are being borne by Michiganders in the tax dollars we pay or the gas prices that are insane right now are worth it.
00:05:02.660 And so, look, let's have a conversation based in Michigan.
00:05:04.920 I'm running for Senate in Michigan.
00:05:06.360 And I think here in Michigan, all of us are probably sad about the fact that we went to war that we never should have fought.
00:05:11.680 I'd rather our money be spent here.
00:05:13.100 I was specifically asking you about comments you didn't want to make because you didn't want to offend people in Dearborn, which is in Michigan.
00:05:19.580 He's all the way out there.
00:05:21.120 He made his campaign largely about Jews in Israel, and he still is doing that.
00:05:26.680 He's pretty fundamentalist. 0.53
00:05:28.020 His wife wears a hijab, even more radical than Mamdani's wife, who doesn't. 0.68
00:05:33.300 El-Sayed talks a lot about Sharia law.
00:05:36.520 But I was reminded, actually, about events that I remember because I was an adult when they happened.
00:05:43.680 And that was question 755.
00:05:46.500 when the state of Oklahoma voted in a referendum
00:05:50.500 to amend the constitution to ban Sharia law.
00:05:55.940 What does that mean? I don't know.
00:06:00.160 And yet the voters banned it anyway.
00:06:04.040 What I offer today is just a reflection
00:06:06.360 on the American history that runs through this state.
00:06:12.300 You all sitting in this room,
00:06:14.500 in this town
00:06:16.480 we're sitting in a space
00:06:19.620 in a time
00:06:20.980 when I don't have to tell you
00:06:22.780 that the same exact forces
00:06:24.260 that drove native peoples from their land
00:06:28.100 two centuries ago
00:06:30.380 destroyed Black Wall Street a century ago
00:06:34.260 bombed a building decades ago
00:06:36.800 and tried to ban Sharia law
00:06:38.980 not a decade ago 1.00
00:06:40.800 those forces are alive and well today. He's talked about how Muslims hate America. 0.96
00:06:48.120 You think about all the wars that we fight abroad, all of the sordid history of oppressing other 0.95
00:06:54.180 people in the name of this American idea, right? Whether it was, quote, manifest destiny and 0.67
00:06:58.460 destroying Native Americans, or it was the transatlantic slave trade where, you know, 0.52
00:07:05.280 folks who, quote, founded this country on the backs of Native folks that they destroyed,
00:07:10.800 um then uh captured people enslaved them and had them work their fields um because they thought it
00:07:18.680 was their right it's sort of nuts even while in a campaign mode to be michigan's next senator
00:07:23.980 in his own pr video he talks about how he goes to this sort of lovely place in michigan that's
00:07:31.640 sort of touristy and sort of white to be honest and he says he hates it please watch yourself
00:07:37.800 It's funny because like, if we win, this is going to be the like, summer home.
00:07:57.200 I'm just going to be like, every time I've ever come here, I've hated it.
00:08:00.040 It's, why am I here?
00:08:01.040 You're not supposed to say you hate any part of your state.
00:08:07.640 You're supposed to love it.
00:08:09.640 He's not a fan of football either.
00:08:11.400 I don't know how you can say that in Michigan.
00:08:13.360 He says football has too much toxic masculinity.
00:08:17.960 Football is very much associated with a, you know,
00:08:20.940 particularly masculine and oftentimes toxic,
00:08:23.880 toxically masculine culture. 1.00
00:08:26.500 Yeah, I think making your wife wear a hijab 1.00
00:08:29.120 is probably a little bit more toxic masculinity 0.64
00:08:32.660 than football is, but what do I know?
00:08:35.780 He has a ton of radical comments,
00:08:37.480 but he's launched something I'm calling his jester tour, where he dances around like an
00:08:44.260 immature teenager. Really weird. A lot of people online are calling it gay, but he's obviously
00:08:50.280 not gay, and I don't think he's immature. He's using that outward feeling now to hide who he
00:08:57.740 really is. Here, just watch this for one second. This is a fundamentalist Muslim who won't condemn
00:09:05.220 9-1-1, who won't condemn the Ayatollahs, who wants Sharia law, why would he do this? 0.93
00:09:10.840 Take a look. 0.79
00:09:28.360 He's singing girlish songs and dancing a little bit sexually and childishly, but also harmless
00:09:35.160 and unseriously because he is serious as a heart attack. He is very grown up in his commitment to
00:09:44.680 his values, but he wants you to write him off as a harmless laugh, just like you and me, but with a
00:09:50.400 more unusual name. Don't buy into this new layer of propaganda of him doing the karaoke dances.
00:09:57.840 So that's El-Sayed. And he and Mamdani have an interesting phenomenon. Both are supported
00:10:03.680 by wealthy white liberal women. 0.99
00:10:06.100 You saw them in the background of the music number there.
00:10:09.320 I call it the I'm mad at my dad demographic.
00:10:13.120 You'd be surprised how many supporters of Mamdani
00:10:15.240 are actually wealthy trust fund liberals
00:10:17.780 who haven't worked a day in their whole lives,
00:10:20.400 even though they ostentatiously identify as working class.
00:10:24.360 We have these people in Canada too, mainly in the NDP, 0.98
00:10:27.660 but they're usually just harmless.
00:10:30.520 I mean, Jagmeet Singh, I believe, was deliberately harmless.
00:10:34.960 He tanked the NDP strategically so it wouldn't split the left away from Trudeau.
00:10:39.900 Singh was probably the single worst leader of the NDP in its history, and I think deliberately so.
00:10:44.820 And at the same time, the single most important liberal asset over the same period.
00:10:49.320 What's so interesting about his successor, Avi Lewis, also a millionaire, is that Lewis is smart and he's a policy wonk.
00:10:56.460 I don't think Jagmeet Singh ever actually read a briefing note.
00:10:59.280 I can't think of a consequential thing Jagmeet Singh has ever said. Can you remember anything? A speech, a bill, an idea, anything? I can't think of one. But imagine if the NDP were to actually get power. That's what's happening with the DSA, this radical wing of the Democrats. The Democrats have internalized the DSA. They've absorbed them, and they're getting just insane candidates.
00:11:24.000 Like this lovely woman who is literally leading the polls for the Democratic primary in Wisconsin. 0.53
00:11:29.240 Her name is Francesca Hong.
00:11:31.160 And here she is talking about how she is against whiteness, even though her own husband is white.
00:11:37.340 I wasn't always aware of the struggles of other communities of color because for me, assimilation always kind of took over.
00:11:44.240 And so I did marry.
00:11:48.660 My proximity to whiteness continues, right?
00:11:50.680 My son is biracial. He's half white and half Korean. And I think navigating, you know, what his identity is and how people perceive him is always at the back of my mind as well.
00:12:03.800 Now, if you're anti-white, don't go to Wisconsin. There's lots of white people there. Don't go to America, really, if you don't like white people.
00:12:11.500 Why not stay in the country from which your family came if you hate the sight of white people? 0.98
00:12:17.780 She was a restaurateur. Good for her. She actually did something. 0.58
00:12:21.600 That's her working class credentials. But get a load of this.
00:12:24.580 That is in the service industry.
00:12:26.880 We are finally having this conversation about, you know, how our industry really did come from it and kind of is rooted in white supremacy.
00:12:35.400 That tipping in itself, if we look at the history of tipping and how racist it is and how it has kept wages low for black people for a very long time.
00:12:46.080 And if you look at tipping now, how different the scales are in terms of who receives a higher percentage of the tips over other folks.
00:12:55.420 Yeah, not everything is racist.
00:12:57.520 And you don't have to hate Americana, like football, like Thanksgiving.
00:13:02.680 Thanksgiving is also a time that's incredibly painful for many people in our communities.
00:13:07.320 My favorite holiday is Thanksgiving because I don't want to handle it. I actually love it.
00:13:21.060 She believes these things, believes these things, but she can tell that when she's not on a Zoom hangout with 20 radical friends,
00:13:28.380 a lot of severely normal people in Wisconsin are starting to think, who is this radical?
00:13:33.800 You once tweeted about defunding the police, defunding the police, and tonight you were asked whether you would sign that bill to defund the police, and you said no.
00:13:43.080 If anyone's been defunding the police, it's been Robin Voss and the Republicans who have not been adequately funding shared revenue,
00:13:50.320 and you have seen that local governments have had to make very difficult decisions,
00:13:54.480 and I believe that as governor that we want to make sure that we're prioritizing public safety,
00:14:00.380 And I believe that, you know, those types of bills that could include more investment in the things that we know prevent crime.
00:14:07.300 If you want to be tough on crime, you better be tough on the causes.
00:14:11.320 Here's a compilation.
00:14:12.680 Even yesterday, it looks like you will be the nominee as another one of your closest competitors who is even far behind you has dropped out of the race.
00:14:20.740 Is there anything in that list of what you told Hassan Piker that you disavow now?
00:14:25.840 No.
00:14:27.080 Okay.
00:14:27.420 Is there anything in the DSA platform that you disagree with?
00:14:31.360 Yes.
00:14:32.260 Okay.
00:14:32.980 What would that be? 0.96
00:14:35.700 Abolishing the Senate.
00:14:37.280 I believe it's nonsensical and nonpractical at this time.
00:14:41.500 Okay.
00:14:41.740 Would you abolish the Supreme Court?
00:14:44.260 No.
00:14:45.660 I believe in checks and balances.
00:14:48.400 Okay.
00:14:49.100 So you consider yourself a democratic socialist, is that correct?
00:14:54.420 Yes.
00:14:55.060 Would you defund the Department of War?
00:15:00.220 Define it?
00:15:01.520 Take away the money from the Defense Department?
00:15:06.640 No, I think it's troubling how many times they've failed an audit and they're one of the highest funded agency.
00:15:14.420 And I think that stewardship of taxpayer dollars is incredibly important.
00:15:18.860 that where there may be fraud, waste, or abuse, that we make sure to vet the agency.
00:15:27.180 Okay. Would you advocate for public ownership of America's largest corporations or those in
00:15:33.080 Wisconsin? I have to say, first of all, we are incredibly proud of our Green Bay Packers,
00:15:40.360 a publicly owned NFL team. But I believe there are some manufacturing and corporation that
00:15:47.780 is irresponsible to have full public control.
00:15:50.900 So these are DSA candidates, Democratic Socialists of America.
00:15:54.820 It's not its own political party.
00:15:56.360 It's like a pressure group within another party. 0.94
00:15:59.240 It's like a parasite hooked onto a main thing. 0.62
00:16:04.640 In this case, the Democrats.
00:16:07.100 These radicals don't need to mess around with the Green Party anymore.
00:16:09.760 They're going for the big time now, and they're winning.
00:16:11.960 They are not watering down their message.
00:16:14.160 That's what's shocking.
00:16:14.900 they're making the rest of the democrats bend the knee to them here's francis gill from the dsa in
00:16:21.880 los angeles saying the most important thing we can do is take america down from within like that
00:16:28.520 that would be a conspiracy theory if someone on the right claimed that about francis gill
00:16:35.620 she's saying it out loud and you know we have a unique responsibility to act from the from the
00:16:42.640 heart of empire, the belly of the beast. The most important thing that we can do is take that
00:16:46.660 empire down from within. They mean it in every way. They mean it symbolically and morally,
00:16:51.520 but they would try to unplug America if they had the chance to get rid of the president,
00:16:55.960 the Supreme Court, get rid of all of it. This is actually something that we committed to at
00:17:00.740 convention, having our endorsed candidates supporting the program. It's a requirement
00:17:07.100 now. And so that'll be incorporated into our endorsement process. It sounds so radical,
00:17:12.240 like abolish the senate abolish the supreme court like etc etc but it's really it's not
00:17:17.120 like that's those are the things that need to happen so whenever people are like oh my god
00:17:20.720 they want to get rid of the president i was like well i don't know what we would call it in the
00:17:23.640 future we could call it the head honcho of whatever you know like it's like we might not
00:17:29.580 have a president if you're in the dsa and you want um their support you've got to agree with this
00:17:35.860 you've got to be a uh you've got to agree with this fundamental taking down america if you want
00:17:41.040 to be in the dsa if you want their support and they seem to be winning a lot on the ground
00:17:45.640 you just have to say it now obviously they want to defund the police they've believed that for
00:17:50.620 generations they've really said it sharply in the last six years since george floyd um that's still
00:17:56.700 a thing for them defunding the police your uh policy agenda on law enforcement is to defund
00:18:01.660 police ultimately to get rid of police departments correct well what i would say is that we're
00:18:07.220 dramatically overspending on police right now. I understand. The goal is to defund the police
00:18:12.080 department so we don't need them in the future. I think it's what we really want to see is a horizon
00:18:17.420 where folks are not reliant on armed enforcement to meet our public safety needs. Right. But it
00:18:23.380 says defund police on a website. That's your goal. And also to get rid of prisons and jails, correct?
00:18:30.140 Yes. So if my daughter is assaulted and raped, is there any agency that would seek to
00:18:36.740 find her assailant and bring him to justice? Of course, yeah, of course, absolutely. What would
00:18:43.320 it be if not police, and where would he be if not a jail? So I guess I really want to avoid
00:18:50.020 getting kind of caught into these hypotheticals and talk more about the reality that we're actually
00:18:54.420 facing right now, which is that we're spending absolutely outrageous amounts of money on
00:18:59.760 police and policing, and we're not spending money on things that actually make people safe and feel
00:19:04.460 state, which is things like actually well-lit streets, the streetlights in Los Angeles.
00:19:09.140 Everybody agrees it's a huge problem.
00:19:11.180 Here's Zoran Mamdani.
00:19:12.620 For anyone to care about these issues, we have to make them hyper-lobal.
00:19:19.360 We have to make clear that when the boot of the MIPD is on your neck, it's been laced
00:19:26.520 by the IDF.
00:19:27.820 We're in a country where those connections abound, especially in New York City.
00:19:33.780 You have so many opportunities to make clear the ways in which that struggle over there is tied to capital's interest over here.
00:19:43.380 You know, the DSA ran an insane candidate in Maine, Graham Plattner, who actually had a Nazi tattoo on him.
00:19:51.600 He only quit after he was credibly accused of rape by liberals. 0.77
00:19:57.420 He was accused of rape by conservative women.
00:19:59.840 And that wasn't enough for the Democrats to throw him out.
00:20:02.360 Obviously, he's anti-cop, but he really goes the extra mile.
00:20:07.360 Comrades and compatriots, this is the administration using the age-old tactic of targeting the marginalized and the exploited
00:20:17.360 to scapegoat them in order to increase their capacity to use force and violence.
00:20:32.360 The federal government has invaded our state to terrorize our communities, abduct our neighbors, and sow fear, all in the service of consolidating power.
00:20:44.400 And they are doing it in order to consolidate power, because this is about power.
00:20:59.940 And it is frustrating to watch some who are supposedly in power in our state to not use
00:21:07.820 it effectively in resistance.
00:21:09.560 He would have been the next senator from Maine were it not for liberal women accusing him 1.00
00:21:13.940 credibly of rape. 1.00
00:21:15.580 This week, Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez, who many think will run for president, I think she 0.98
00:21:19.640 will, she tried to sound less crazy than what's going on around her. 0.99
00:21:24.760 She said that woke one, the first version of woke, was just too nuts.
00:21:29.180 It's possible to win the Senate, so I've been focused on those legislative reasons.
00:21:34.040 What do you make of those controversial statements I'm sure you've seen? 0.76
00:21:36.380 I mean, she's, you know, the Thanksgiving dust-up.
00:21:40.140 She says she doesn't, you know, still believe that.
00:21:42.420 But, you know, abolish prisons, abolish police,
00:21:46.600 which is also positions that have been taken by a lot of the progressive candidates who have won.
00:21:51.920 How do you get around that?
00:21:53.700 Those are not positions that are supported by most of them.
00:21:56.380 Right. I mean, I think that a lot of these races, even right now,
00:22:01.620 they'll have a tendency to be nationalized.
00:22:04.080 Yeah.
00:22:04.360 But these races ultimately are local, and all politics are local. 0.80
00:22:09.780 My understanding is that Francesca Hong has made clear her present stances to her electorate. 0.68
00:22:18.100 Yeah, she's moved away from a lot of that.
00:22:19.280 Right, she's moved away from it.
00:22:20.780 And I have a local city councilman that has this saying, Woke One was crazy.
00:22:29.320 Woke One was crazy. 1.00
00:22:30.760 Okay, that's so true.
00:22:31.380 And I think that what's important is that we have to assess what...
00:22:36.140 Was it?
00:22:36.920 Yeah, that was just a few minutes ago, and she was totally into it.
00:22:40.700 I should say Woke Two is just as nuts.
00:22:43.500 It's the same as before, but with a lot more anti-Semitism.
00:22:46.780 Here's Eber Kawas, endorsed by Mamdani, running for the New York Senate.
00:22:51.760 And so, like, and finding that, like, you know, the system of capitalism and racism and white supremacy, et cetera, have all and Islamophobia have all been used, you know, to colonize lands, right, to take resources from other people.
00:23:08.660 And so this is like a long trajectory.
00:23:10.340 And we're just seeing the manifestations of that continuation, right, with 9-11.
00:23:14.500 And so a lot of times when people are asking us to respond about, you know, attack, right, when if you look back like historically, right, you know, a lot of us come from lands that were colonized, lands where wars are being waged, right, a lot of times because of U.S. policy or the policies in Europe.
00:23:32.880 And so I find that we can connect over that, but then also that the idea that we have to apologize for, like, a terror attack that, like, a couple people did, and then there is no apologies or reparations for genocide and for slavery, etc., is something that I kind of find, like, reprehensible.
00:23:51.240 That's the state senate.
00:23:52.260 Now, to be clear, they have their own platform, so they're not a party, but they have a platform, and they're embedded like a parasite on a host. 0.55
00:24:02.880 into the Democrats. Here's a sampler. So we're going to put up on the screen a few of the
00:24:07.340 things that are part of your platform. And I want to ask you, just give me sort of a true or false
00:24:10.940 on these. Abolish the Senate. True. Okay. Replace the presidency and Supreme Court as we now know
00:24:18.700 them. Yep. Abolish ICE. Absolutely. Abolish borders and give amnesty to anyone currently
00:24:28.200 in the U.S. illegally. As a long-term plan, yep. Defund the Pentagon. Absolutely. Abolish prisons, 0.51
00:24:38.140 at least in large part. Yeah, again, that is part of a long-term program, yeah. Okay, so no prisons.
00:24:45.360 Government or public ownership of most large corporations. Yeah, absolutely. They actually
00:24:52.260 talk about attacking white people. Why do they hate white people so much? I love white people. 0.98
00:24:56.040 I love black people. Why would you campaign on hating a particular color?
00:25:02.260 Isn't that racist? Well, that's the good racism, I guess. 1.00
00:25:06.760 They want to make white people poor on purpose as a policy goal.
00:25:13.800 Mandami's aide, his top aide, Sia Weaver, said if you don't believe in the government's sacred right to seize property, it's over.
00:25:21.540 And impoverish the white middle class.
00:25:24.020 beast mode i love her so much one of the things about zoran is that the people surrounding him
00:25:31.360 oftentimes are so much cooler than he is but that's also part of the reason why i really
00:25:35.940 respect what he's doing she's awesome what that's a that's a goal the other day the new yorker
00:25:45.420 magazine which is just what it sounds like they interviewed a dsa big shot named megan roamer 0.73
00:25:50.740 look at this one but we do believe in taxing the hell out of millionaires yeah absolutely
00:25:55.140 well what does taxing the hell out of them mean uh yeah you know again i don't have like a solid
00:26:01.960 but but i think but shouldn't you um i mean if you're the co-chair if you're the co-chair of the
00:26:09.040 of the dsa shouldn't you be more specific than just taxing the hell out of something what exactly do
00:26:14.260 mean so again it's democracy right and we have to look at what we need to spend and what we need
00:26:21.540 we don't want to depend on the existence of millionaires because that means people are
00:26:24.540 still getting exploited so so yeah we need to we need to look at what we need to pay for in the
00:26:29.500 interim what what sort of tax base we need for that to happen and then um and build from there
00:26:34.120 now what exactly is a millionaire i mean new york is a very expensive place i think the average home
00:26:39.680 in new york is well over a million dollars i mean heck it is in toronto and vancouver um does that
00:26:45.300 what does it mean to tax the hell out of someone with a million bucks does that mean like if you
00:26:50.680 if you have a house you're you're an evil person just what do you are trying to just drive them
00:26:54.940 out of new york i mean she couldn't be clearer anyone with a certain amount of money even if
00:27:00.680 they saved for it worked their whole lives for it did double shifts to accumulated it worked
00:27:05.440 overtime didn't waste money you know always packed a lunch from home rather than buying lunch
00:27:10.680 if if you earned it if you invented something anyone with a million dollars is by definition 0.96
00:27:17.200 evil to these people an enemy who needs to be punished um though of course these dsa people
00:27:25.180 are millionaires too that's that's different do you believe there should be millionaires in this
00:27:30.880 country um i'm less concerned about millionaires more concerned about billionaires um i don't have
00:27:36.900 like a a hard line where it's where you're good i guess what i'm asking is how much is too much
00:27:42.940 yeah i think i think the question is less about how much is too much
00:27:47.820 and more about what are you doing to keep and maintain and get that wealth in the first place
00:27:54.420 i think most billionaires got their wealth because they exploited the working class in in some very
00:27:59.660 significant way usually um are we exploiting people is the bigger question as opposed to some
00:28:05.460 sort of arbitrary red line of you can have this much money or not have that much money but we do
00:28:09.880 believe in taxing the hell out of millionaires on israel they pretend to be thoughtful and nuanced
00:28:14.820 but they have no clue it's just raw anti-semitism they don't know their history they don't even know
00:28:19.360 recent history in the democrats they just know they don't like the jews they've never even heard
00:28:24.100 of attempts like bill clinton and israel offering the palestinians their own state
00:28:29.420 with jerusalem as their capital they don't even know they don't even care they just know they
00:28:33.860 don't like jews yeah so so that was like a very complicated and and very like inter-dsa bureaucratic
00:28:40.540 uh question but convention decided that yeah this is a solid red line um no uh defense or
00:28:48.600 economic support for Israel. Does Israel have the right to defend itself,
00:28:54.920 according to DSA? What is the position that DSA is headed toward here? Is it for a two-state
00:29:00.780 solution? Or is it a binational, one-state solution? What, in fact, is the position of DSA?
00:29:08.080 Yeah, so our position is a free Palestine with the capital in Jerusalem. And so I think that
00:29:14.640 could be safely read as a one state solution i know it's crazy but they are communists and i'm
00:29:21.220 not saying that in some insulty way that's who they are that's objectively and i see these
00:29:26.020 communists even in canada i know i mentioned i saw him a couple of weeks ago at the anti-ai
00:29:30.220 protest in mournville like avi lewis of the ndp up here is a communist but we can laugh at avi
00:29:37.080 lewis because i don't think he's gonna win anything ma'am danny just did win in new york
00:29:42.260 Do you believe in the owning the means of production, as the Marxists used to say?
00:29:47.900 I do. Yeah. Yeah.
00:29:49.660 I know this is funny. I know this is nuts, except it's winning.
00:29:52.900 So it's not so funny. And I see no reason why it won't keep winning.
00:29:57.440 DSA is headed toward here. Is it for a two state solution?
00:30:00.380 Is that is that what's it or is it a binational one state solution?
00:30:04.240 What what in fact is the position of DSA?
00:30:07.060 Yeah. So our position is a free Palestine with the capital in Jerusalem.
00:30:11.600 And so I think that could be safely read as a one state solution. 0.76
00:30:16.440 So the Camp David accords that were being negotiated at the beginning of the century
00:30:21.300 under the Clinton administration, had the Palestinians accepted it, that would have satisfied you?
00:30:29.020 Good question. I need to look at what the actual specifics there were.
00:30:32.400 I don't know them off the top of my head, certainly.
00:30:34.280 And I think she's apologized for some pieces of that and has been quite unapologetic about
00:30:40.900 other pieces of that and and um do you support or yourself in that yeah i do why because in other
00:30:48.500 words you would have gone to that rally had you been able uh that's a good question i probably
00:30:53.220 would have yeah yeah i i don't live in new york city so i wouldn't have one day after the slaughter
00:30:58.340 of 1200 people and taking of over 200 hostages you would have come and rallied behind hamas
00:31:04.260 i think that october 7th was largely inevitable if you put people in a an open air concentration
00:31:13.060 camp and you deprive them of rights of dignity of food of the ability to live in safety you
00:31:20.120 have to expect that they are going to uh not take that for that long hey mark my words you
00:31:26.840 will miss donald trump when he's gone stay with us for more
00:31:34.260 Hey, welcome back.
00:31:42.320 If you had to make a justification or explanation for why Canadians voted for Mark Carney in the last general election,
00:31:49.780 I think the number one reason, frankly, is because they thought he was a counterweight to Donald Trump.
00:31:55.820 Donald Trump had been talking about annexing Canada, and I think it gave some people the willies.
00:32:00.020 And I think about a million people moved their votes over to Mark Carney, who said he would be the Trump whisperer.
00:32:05.840 And I think that's the number one reason.
00:32:07.560 The number two reason is he's simply not Justin Trudeau.
00:32:11.780 And Trudeau, after 10 years in power, was widely despised.
00:32:16.360 And he was really hanging around the necks of the Liberal Party like a millstone.
00:32:19.780 But the number three reason and the only policy reason, the technical reason, I think, is that Mark Carney diffused the number one irritant to Canadians coast to coast of every economic background, every ethnic background.
00:32:35.880 and I refer, of course, to the carbon tax, which was a despised tax. And Carney came in and just
00:32:44.680 removed that from the table. And it gave people enough of a, quote, conservative relief that they
00:32:52.420 felt, well, maybe this guy's not as radical environmentalist. Maybe he's more moderate.
00:32:56.760 I credit those three things for stopping Pierre Polyev from winning. He had been leading in the
00:33:02.980 polls by double digits for more than a year in advance. So you can imagine my surprise when I
00:33:08.120 see a headline from our dear friends of the Canadian Taxpayers Federation. Let me read it
00:33:12.180 to you. It's a few days ago. Poll, Canadians oppose upcoming gas tax hike. And I like to think I
00:33:20.460 follow the news sort of closely. It is my business. But I thought, what tax hike? Isn't that like a top
00:33:26.900 three reason why mark carney is in fact pm today is he already reneging on that joining us now to
00:33:33.940 talk about this is the author of this article our friend franco terrenzano franco nice to see you
00:33:39.420 again uh i guess in my mind i thought okay carney has taken gasoline taxes carbon taxes off the
00:33:45.540 table for a while but maybe i was maybe i've been duped tell me what you mean when you say gas tax
00:33:51.300 hikes are coming well hey so in april carney temporarily suspended the federal gas tax but
00:33:59.060 guess what that relief is about to disappear in a month's time because on september 8th the plan
00:34:05.740 for carney is to crank the gas tax all the way back up okay so that would be an extra 10 cents
00:34:12.180 a liter of gas that you'd be paying in taxes if carney follows through with this and let me just
00:34:17.700 put that in perspective okay let's say your family you got a minivan you fuel up once a week for a
00:34:22.640 year well that federal gas tax would end up costing you close to 400 bucks so folks we've
00:34:28.240 got to crank up the pressure we got to push back we got to show carney and his members of parliament
00:34:33.720 that canadians will not tolerate this gas tax hike in september now was this decision to hike
00:34:41.140 it in september was that did they say this is a six-month hiatus like did they telegraph to us
00:34:47.360 in advance that this was going to be over and now the tax relief is just ending so it was always
00:34:52.040 meant to be a temporary measure is that right yep that's exactly the case but guess what we're
00:34:57.120 we're gonna push them hey don't you dare take any more money from canadians right and look if in
00:35:02.200 april canadians were struggling with the cost of living canadians are still struggling with the
00:35:06.740 cost of living and let's just be so real for a second right this federal government doesn't
00:35:11.180 deserve a single cent more from right like they're overspending like crazy that's where i am on this
00:35:16.840 thing i mean every week there's some insane announcement often involving foreign aid to
00:35:23.400 bizarre causes overseas i mean i keep reading about the motorbikes that canadian uh you know
00:35:31.480 foreign affairs bought for some third world country i think motorbikes and and just the
00:35:36.780 strangest things and every time it's a it's like a hundred million here a half a billion there
00:35:42.680 uh it's craziness so my reaction is not just oh there's mark carney raising taxes again it's
00:35:49.460 like you say don't give them one cent how uh how is this doing poll wise because there was a
00:35:55.980 there was a poll on this give us some of the stats from the poll who was the pollster and what
00:36:02.500 what did am i right to say this is opposed by every single demographic yes yes you are right
00:36:08.580 to say that so number one this is a national poll we commissioned it but it was lege oh they're
00:36:14.220 excellent they're very well respected that's exactly right it's not it's not like it was
00:36:18.320 just a canadian taxpayers federation putting out a poll online no no this was a professional poll
00:36:23.320 done from a very reputable polling firm lege that found that 63 percent of canadians oppose
00:36:29.700 the september oppose the september gas tax hike just 26 percent support it 11 percent uh they
00:36:37.280 don't have an opinion i guess you remove the undecided zezra and it's 71 percent of canadians
00:36:43.280 against the gas tax hike in september and to your point i'm going to do two things here to your
00:36:48.940 point most uh canadians in every demographic age gender province oppose the gas tax hike but let's
00:36:55.800 talk politics here for a second okay because uh women and people over the age of 55 are more likely
00:37:03.840 to be against the gas tax hike and if you look at the polling right now it's women and people over
00:37:09.640 the age of 55 who tend to support carney's liberals very interesting and i bet that's
00:37:16.060 because moms you know they're often taking kids to soccer or whatever driving kids to school so
00:37:21.700 they're they're filling up the gas they feel it and you know the thing about a gasoline tax like
00:37:25.780 this if i understand it correctly is it's what would be called a regressive tax and that is
00:37:31.020 if you're making a million bucks a year maybe you're driving a little more you're driving a
00:37:34.860 car that maybe takes a little more gas but you're not spending 10 times as much on gasoline as a
00:37:42.460 guy making 100 grand a year or because you have to buy a certain amount of gas if you have a car
00:37:47.980 and i guess my point is i'm not making it very eloquently is that it's like the price of bread
00:37:53.660 is that a rich guy's not eating 10 loaves of bread for every one loaf a poor guy is
00:37:58.820 my point is this falls disproportionately on the poor am i am i right in my thinking there
00:38:03.420 you oh you are when it comes to energy taxes that increase the price of gasoline and diesel
00:38:08.340 yes two things uh ezra not only does will this gas tax increase make it more expensive for you
00:38:14.360 to fuel up at the gas station but don't forget this is also applied on diesel okay well who
00:38:19.860 uses truckers that's farmers and truckers okay so it really makes everything more expensive that is
00:38:25.660 trucked to the store shelves so it's not just fueling up that becomes more expensive but number
00:38:30.340 two ezra you'll remember there's also a hidden carbon tax something separate that's hidden in
00:38:35.380 fuel regulations the government's own analysis on that you know hidden carbon tax that drives
00:38:40.860 up the price of gasoline its own analysis admits that this is regressive and particularly hurt
00:38:46.500 it hurts those that are already struggling with energy poverty so these types of taxes
00:38:51.260 hurt the people who can at least afford to pay more as well.
00:38:55.020 You know, I keep thinking that the two ingredients necessary for a successful civilization
00:38:59.760 are plentiful, affordable food and plentiful, affordable energy.
00:39:05.420 There should be no society in history that's done well without those two things.
00:39:09.020 I have in front of me, I found it here, the Leger poll.
00:39:11.880 So if I'm reading this right, 43% of people strongly oppose the tax increase.
00:39:17.400 Another 20% are somewhat against it.
00:39:19.560 But if you just go with the people who strongly think about it, 43 percent compared to 8 percent who strongly support the tax increase.
00:39:28.100 I tell you, any politician of any stripe is going to look at those, should look at that and say, well, I know which side I want to be on.
00:39:35.240 It's sort of crazy that they're considering this. Frank, I don't know if you followed it.
00:39:38.760 I sometimes go to Ireland to for various political missions.
00:39:43.900 And last time I was there, they had what I'm going to call a general strike.
00:39:49.560 I mean, it's not quite, but they shut down all the highways on the whole island and it was over gas taxes.
00:39:57.620 Now, they don't use the word truckers over there.
00:39:59.880 They use the word hauliers, which I think is a great word.
00:40:03.120 So the hauliers and the farmers shut down every highway in Ireland and huge traffic jams.
00:40:11.060 And you know what?
00:40:12.080 the whole country sort of decided together we're not going to pay these gas taxes i've never seen
00:40:17.540 i mean i'm calling it a general strike people still went to work but the farmers and the
00:40:22.120 holliers shut down the highway system for days it was sort of like the trucker convoy here in
00:40:26.920 canada i guess what i'm saying is people are you know if there's high energy prices maybe they
00:40:33.660 don't know what they can do about it but if there's a tax that makes energy prices so high
00:40:38.180 that they do care about at least it was sort of cool to see it in ireland i wonder if we'd ever
00:40:43.220 get that far in canada if there would be like a strikes or something of farmers and and truckers
00:40:48.920 over gas price i don't know maybe maybe uh the emergencies act scared people out of doing that
00:40:55.020 what do you i don't know what you think well hey first of all let me just say okay uh this is a
00:40:59.800 very serious issue i mean like this impacts pretty much every area of canadian life right
00:41:04.800 You look at how Canada is an economy, very big, right?
00:41:08.100 You got to drive very energy intensive.
00:41:10.040 So this is huge.
00:41:11.260 But look, we've got this polling out.
00:41:13.100 That was step number one, okay?
00:41:14.780 You know that politicians care more about polls 0.84
00:41:17.000 than the air they breathe.
00:41:18.020 So they're looking at these numbers.
00:41:19.660 They know they don't want to be massively
00:41:21.360 on the wrong side of public opinion on this.
00:41:23.760 But number two, look at the politics within this poll, right?
00:41:27.220 We talked about some of the demographics, okay?
00:41:29.880 Number three, I'm pretty sure there's a by-election
00:41:32.640 or a couple by-elections coming up right around the corner right okay so so look we have the ball
00:41:39.000 it's already rolling down the hill the last thing we need canadians now to really get it over the
00:41:44.720 end zone here to mix metaphors you got to contact your mp contact the prime minister's office we
00:41:49.860 have less than a month to stop this gas tax hike so we got to ramp up the pressure here contact
00:41:54.780 the prime minister's office contact your mps and let's really show the government that canadians
00:41:59.340 won't tolerate it so that's september 8th you say is that right yep the day after labor day
00:42:04.160 the tax goes back up wow you know i think this is actually a winnable fight i mean most things
00:42:10.940 you're not going to win he's got you know he's sort of bribed his way to a majority in the house
00:42:14.640 of commons he's got the senate on side judges aren't going to do anything about it the the
00:42:18.980 media you know 99 of it takes the the subsidy but on this thing the it's tax issues have motivated
00:42:26.600 people uh and and this poll shows it cuts across every demographic i think this is a winnable
00:42:33.320 battle and uh how are how would people join your fight because i know you guys fight like heck
00:42:37.900 every day for taxpayers what's the best way for them to get involved with you the best way is
00:42:42.860 taxpayer.com we've got a newsroom great articles there we got petitions you can sign you can sign
00:42:48.200 up for our emailing uh list but folks everything the central place taxpayer.com and ezra this is
00:42:54.580 a winnable fight if canadians put the pressure on those politicians yeah i really think you're
00:42:59.160 right and um you know what i i'm still a huge skeptic of carney but i think there's a chance
00:43:07.300 i think there's a chance he'll bow to pressure here i sure hope so well thanks for coming on
00:43:11.420 the show i feel sort of dumb that i didn't know this was going up but now i'm educated and
00:43:15.480 hopefully our viewers are well-armed too so thanks for taking the time with us hey thank you there
00:43:20.800 is Franco Teresano, the boss of the Canadian Taxpayers Federation. Stay with us. Your letters
00:43:25.900 to me next. Hey, welcome back. Your letters to me on Alexa's reports from Spain. Oh, she did such
00:43:40.380 a good job there. Craig's List says, how are the invaders crossing the strait? What money do they
00:43:47.000 have and what boats are taking them to mainland Spain. If you have to understand that these
00:43:52.060 little, they're called exclaves actually, which is a weird word, isn't it? But let's just say
00:43:57.260 enclave. They're little blips of land on Morocco. So they're not in Europe. They are part of Africa.
00:44:06.660 They're just attached to Morocco. It's like two towns. One's called Malila, one's called Souta.
00:44:12.820 they are actually on morocco so they just walk over the fence or or they just swim out like a
00:44:21.060 hundred feet because there's a bit of a sea barrier they're not going all the way across 0.77
00:44:25.180 the mediterranean so um they're very it's a strange it would be like uh you know the french
00:44:31.460 island of san pierre and michelon that's right off the coast of newfoundland that's sort of it's
00:44:35.980 sort of far away from spain itself lorraine brandon says what's really telling and sad all
00:44:41.120 these young men and boys say morocco is so bad and horrible conditions yet they left there
00:44:45.540 all their children and their siblings there with their mother defend in harsh conditions by 1.00
00:44:50.260 themselves without the men you are so right i mean in my mind when i hear refugees i think 1.00
00:44:55.700 the young the old the sick the poor you know where are the women where are the kids if it's 1.00
00:45:02.000 they're absolutely opportunists and alexa actually put up a video today showing that a lot of these 1.00
00:45:09.680 people are actually criminals. They're wanted for crimes in Morocco. Here, take a look
00:45:14.180 at this video that Alexa just posted today. She still has videos. She doesn't have time
00:45:19.020 to post yet. Take a look at this one.
00:45:39.680 The next letter is from official Laura Bilano, who said, wow, great job reporting.
00:46:08.960 I'm so glad there's so many normal people over there that love their country and want to save it.
00:46:13.380 Hopefully more people start waking up and more European countries start standing up to their
00:46:17.240 government. They work for us, not we work for them. Well, the European Union is a very strange
00:46:22.740 thing because the laws passed in the European Parliament are binding on EU members. So yes,
00:46:30.540 you have the laws of Spain. And by the way, Sanchez, the prime minister is absolutely an
00:46:35.600 open borders globalist crazy guy but even if he weren't um the european union makes the rules and
00:46:43.900 even to this day the uk still for some reason is part of the european convention on human rights
00:46:50.760 um so even the euro court still that is why that uh british prime ministers claim they can't stop
00:46:58.820 the boats because the european court says they can't it's sort of it's sort of madness their
00:47:03.280 lack of democracy. Well, that's our show for the day. Until tomorrow, on behalf of all of us here
00:47:09.020 at Rebel World Headquarters, to you at home, good night and keep fighting for freedom.
