00:00:00.000 Hello, my friends. It's election day. I've got some thoughts about who might win, who's going to win, and what difference it'll make.
00:00:07.800 And I'll tell you that the five parties that are, quote, the official parties, there's really no difference amongst them on the key issues of our day.
00:00:16.140 The only party that's really dissenting wasn't allowed in the leaders' debates and wasn't even on most TV, you know, clips and, you know, was called other by the pollsters.
00:00:26.960 Just like they tried to keep us out of the debates, too.
00:00:31.260 I'll do a recap of where our reporters were over the last month, and I'll invite you to watch our live show tonight at 8 p.m. Eastern.
00:00:40.500 We'll be on TV for about five hours straight going through the results of the night.
00:00:43.740 Anyways, that's what today's show is about. Let me close by inviting you to watch us on election night from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. Eastern time.
00:00:51.740 Until then, here's today's podcast.
00:00:56.960 Tonight, it's the election.
00:01:11.040 It's September 20th, and you're watching the Ezra Levant Show.
00:01:15.860 Why should others go to jail when you're a biggest carbon consumer I know?
00:01:19.600 There's 8,500 customers here, and you won't give them an answer.
00:01:23.240 The only thing I have to say to the government is because it's my bloody right to do so.
00:01:34.600 It's the election already. What a terrible campaign.
00:01:37.280 It was a completely unnecessary election.
00:01:40.900 Trudeau thought it would be to his advantage to move quickly.
00:01:43.660 I thought it was a little bit whiny of the opposition parties to complain about that at such length,
00:01:48.100 but I think that actually resonated a little bit with voters, so perhaps I was wrong, and they were right to complain.
00:01:53.740 I don't think it ever looks strong to complain about an election, the idea being we always want to hold the government to account.
00:01:59.680 But I think people said if you—I think it was part of the hypocrisy of the pandemic.
00:02:04.940 Everyone's in a lockdown, but politicians who are going to the polls two years early think the lockdown doesn't apply to them.
00:02:12.280 I think the most acute example of that was when Justin Trudeau took his campaign right into the heart of a hospital itself.
00:02:22.220 You can see the pictures that he tweeted about him.
00:02:25.500 Now, you and I can't go into that hospital even if we have friends or family in the hospital.
00:02:31.280 I know. I went to a hospital once during COVID.
00:02:33.540 They won't let you in.
00:02:34.440 But Trudeau gets the rules suspended for him, and worse, the entire press cohort that traveled with them,
00:02:42.540 and none of them thought it was a problem because all of them know the rules are for the little people.
00:02:46.940 So if you can go into a hospital for your political advantage,
00:02:52.000 the whole thing is about who the rulers are and who the ruled are.
00:02:57.220 By the way, it wasn't just Justin Trudeau.
00:02:59.040 So over the past few days, Aaron O'Toole, the leader of the Conservative Party,
00:03:03.000 has tweeted all these pictures of him and his personal family, his wife and kids, wearing masks.
00:03:09.900 Now, they're all together.
00:03:12.000 They live in the same home.
00:03:14.300 O'Toole himself got COVID and recovered from it naturally, so he's natural immunity.
00:03:18.900 Plus, he's had two shots.
00:03:21.320 Why are they wearing masks when they live together?
00:03:24.120 Surely they don't wear those masks in the house.
00:03:25.960 And again, it's that they're showing what they want you to consume.
00:03:31.260 We all know that they don't live that way.
00:03:33.860 We all know they don't need the mask.
00:03:35.400 So in a way, that's similar to Trudeau flouting the rules or using the rules just as a prop.
00:03:41.260 I'm not saying that O'Toole himself went into a hospital also,
00:03:44.380 but they're using the rules as a prop, as a device, as a distraction.
00:03:48.560 No one actually believes in the rules.
00:03:50.720 Now, Rebel News covered the heck out of this campaign.
00:03:53.280 We were all across the country, as far known as the Yukon, where our reporter Mocha went to the Yukon
00:04:00.180 to talk about a Conservative Party candidate who was fired on the eve of the election
00:04:06.020 because he was worried about a two-tiered society with people who were forced to get vaccines.
00:04:12.320 By the way, this Conservative candidate who was fired came within 153 votes of winning last time.
00:04:17.560 Imagine throwing him out because he wasn't enough of a cheerleader for forced vaccines. 0.88
00:04:22.640 Here's a quick clip of Mocha in the far north.
00:04:25.860 Aaron O'Toole's Conservative Party terminated a candidate who had high chances of winning in his riding.
00:04:31.380 Some public comments I made on...
00:04:33.640 Jonas J. Smith is now running as an independent for the riding of the Yukon
00:04:37.800 after he dared to share his opinion on vaccine mandates.
00:04:41.220 I went to Whitehorse, Yukon, to ask him what happened.
00:04:48.360 Well, long story short, I got a message from a senior member of the Conservative Party central campaign team
00:04:55.240 looking to speak with me.
00:04:58.280 We had a phone call, exchanged some pleasantries, talked about the campaign a little bit,
00:05:02.180 and the conversation quickly turned to some public comments I made on government COVID response.
00:05:09.680 Well, that's the furthest north our campaign went.
00:05:12.660 Of course, we were all over the country, too.
00:05:14.200 Here's Drea trying to put a question to Justin Trudeau.
00:05:18.520 And Trudeau's personal security, they were fine with people taking selfies with him,
00:05:23.980 but when Drea asked a tough question, they grabbed her like a ragdoll and threw her away. 1.00
00:05:30.540 Take a look.
00:05:33.660 You talked about Canada's last wrongs, the past things they haven't done right.
00:05:37.800 When will you speak out about the 20 vandalized churches?
00:05:41.080 They're burning churches and vandalizing them, and you're not calling it a hate crime.
00:05:47.140 Politicians don't seem to like questions, do they?
00:05:49.320 Politicians of all stripes, here's Tamara Ugolini in her hometown of Coburg, Ontario, 0.81
00:05:54.560 going to a restaurant she used to work at, trying to put a simple question.
00:05:58.800 I really enjoyed this back and forth.
00:06:00.700 I won't show you the whole thing, but this is a moment of Tamara doing great journalism in Ontario.
00:06:05.600 Trudeau, how long for vaccine passports?
00:06:07.880 Trudeau, how long?
00:06:09.600 How long?
00:06:11.780 Forever, Trudeau?
00:06:13.660 How long for vaccine passports?
00:06:15.880 No media questions at all, no media questions.
00:06:44.060 We waited, gee, I don't know, at least two hours, and will not answer any questions by the media.
00:06:53.540 Just loves his cheerleaders.
00:06:57.920 We were in other places, too.
00:06:59.860 We were in Winnipeg.
00:07:01.140 We were in Saskatchewan.
00:07:02.660 Of course, we were all over Quebec.
00:07:04.420 One of my favorite moments was just this weekend, where Alexa Lavoie, one of the newest rebels, 1.00
00:07:09.800 tracked down the man running against Maxime Bernier, the conservative MP,
00:07:14.060 who was hanging out at a golf and country club, just by himself, hiding, I think.
00:07:19.320 Alexa found him in there.
00:07:20.600 First thing he said was, I don't give you permission to film me.
00:07:23.280 But the second thing he said is, he refuses to be in the same room as someone who's not vaccinated.
00:07:30.000 In this case, he meant Bernier.
00:07:31.300 But really, isn't he talking about you, too?
00:07:33.760 Here's a quick clip of that.
00:09:01.280 Speaking of Alexa, she did a great job in the leaders' debates. 1.00
00:09:04.820 As you know, for the second election in a row, Trudeau's hand-picked debates commission kicked out Rebel News.
00:09:10.760 Now, when they did it in 2019, I thought it was a miracle that the federal court gave us a court order letting us back in.
00:09:16.540 Trudeau's debates commission had two years to prepare to keep us out again.
00:09:20.800 They hired a massive law firm, Borden, Ladner & Gervais, extremely expensive.
00:09:25.300 I estimate they spent about a million and a half bucks designing a system to keep us out.
00:09:30.840 Their rejection letters were incredibly long and detailed.
00:09:33.420 They did a ton of research on Rebel News.
00:09:35.520 They thought it was bulletproof.
00:09:37.420 When we sued them this year, I think you might have recalled me saying, they had seven lawyers in court.
00:09:46.560 Four lawyers and an articling student for the debates commission and two more lawyers for Justice Canada.
00:09:51.740 We had one lawyer, Chad Williamson, bit of a cowboy from Calgary, and the federal court sided with us again,
00:09:58.460 ordering the debates commission to allow 11 of our journalists in.
00:10:01.980 One in person and 10 on a special phone line.
00:10:04.280 We managed to get more questions asked than any other media outlet.
00:10:09.200 Here's a chart written by some stalkers of ours at Canada Land.
00:10:13.980 They're obsessed with us, this one guy, Jonathan Goldsby.
00:10:16.240 But I like the fact that his obsession, in this case, documents just how active we were.
00:10:21.920 This chart shows that Rebel News asked more questions than any other media outlet.
00:10:29.620 Now, that just goes to our ability to ask, but what did we ask?
00:10:32.720 Well, we asked thoughtful questions about the vaccine, about natural immunity, about studies out of Israel.
00:10:40.600 Real questions, they were not answered, though.
00:10:43.360 And in fact, several of the politicians just simply refused to talk to us.
00:10:47.840 So we asked about that, too.
00:10:49.540 I want to show you what I regard as the best question asked in the entire series of debates.
00:10:55.240 There's two debates.
00:10:55.780 It was by Alexa Lavoie, and we're going to show it to you as she asked it in French with our English translation.
00:11:01.960 I'm going to play the whole thing, including Trudeau's answer and including Alexa's little rebuttal to that.
00:11:07.420 Here, take a look.
Merci.
00:12:26.600 Alexa's question was excellent.
00:12:29.560 It's the question of the hour that's being discussed in Israel, in the Centers for Disease Control, at the FDA.
00:12:35.500 Does natural immunity work?
00:12:37.260 Should it be counted in these vaccine passports, given that it's more effective, according to certain studies, than the vaccines themselves?
00:12:43.500 It's a genuine question that millions of Canadians are very curious about.
00:12:48.000 Everyone who has had COVID and recovered from it, if that recovery, their natural immunity, is stronger than the vaccine, wouldn't that be great to know?
00:12:57.000 And shouldn't that count against the vaccine passport?
00:12:59.220 Instead, Trudeau refused to answer.
00:13:01.360 That was a bit of a theme.
00:13:02.380 The bloc leader refused to answer.
00:13:04.160 Jagmeet Singh refused to answer.
00:13:05.900 Erin O'Toole answered a different question, not one that we asked.
00:13:08.800 And actually, Annamie Paul of the Fringe Green Party answered David Menzies fairly well.
00:13:13.440 But I want to show you, when Jagmeet Singh did not answer our question twice in a row,
00:13:20.840 I want to show you Catherine Krozanowski and Sheila Gunnery, two of our journalists that asked back-to-back questions.
00:13:27.580 Take a look at these.
00:13:28.520 Here's Catherine. 0.99
00:13:29.060 The question is from Rebel News.
00:13:32.380 Good evening.
00:13:33.760 Before you tell me that you're not going to answer my question, I just want to say that I'm not here representing myself or my company.
00:13:41.020 I'm here representing millions of Canadians who have real questions for you, like the one my colleague Alexa just asked.
00:13:46.920 People who you would marginalize.
00:13:48.920 Is your message to them that they are second-class citizens?
00:13:52.800 Not at all.
00:13:53.620 Sorry.
00:13:53.840 You're saying the polls show that your party is between 15% and 20%.
00:13:58.080 No party here on the stage tonight is even close to representing a majority of Canadians.
00:14:03.540 This is an absolute divided country.
00:14:06.360 Yet when Conservative journalists like me ask you fair questions on behalf of Canadians, you insult us and refuse to answer a single word.
00:14:15.740 You are like a child putting your hands over your ears.
00:14:19.140 Do you really think you can become Prime Minister by trying to freeze out any Canadian who disagrees with you?
00:14:26.060 In your own riding, you only got 38% of the vote.
00:14:30.700 Is this how you treat the other 62% of people who disagree with you?
00:14:35.700 No.
00:14:36.220 Thanks so much.
00:14:36.820 So this was an insider's club.
00:14:39.960 Remember, this is twice now they tried to ban us.
00:14:42.600 They sent seven lawyers to keep us out.
00:14:44.240 The federal court let us in.
00:14:45.660 And even when we're in, they didn't want to talk to us.
00:14:48.080 Even though our question was very substantive about the vaccine, a question no one else in the bailout media would ask, they simply refused it.
00:14:56.940 I have no idea what beef anyone could have with Alexa or Catherine.
00:15:01.800 They're fairly new reporters.
00:15:03.440 They haven't done anything possibly wrong.
00:15:05.940 And the thing is, part of your job as a government official is to answer questions, even if you don't particularly like the journalist who's putting the questions.
00:15:13.640 If it's a question in the public interest, on a matter of public policy, at a government-run debate, which is absurd in itself, answer it. 0.90
00:15:21.580 But these cowards wouldn't. 0.83
00:15:23.020 They wanted to keep us out. 1.00
00:15:23.880 And I want to say, it is not just the coward Trudeau and the coward Jack Mead Singer and the cowardly leader of the bloc. 0.97
00:15:31.260 Look, the Erin O'Toole campaign all the way down kept our reporters out, too. 0.92
00:15:38.000 You saw that one conservative candidate in Bose demand that Alexa not film anything.
00:15:43.480 Here's Alexa trying to talk to Erin O'Toole and a senior O'Toole staffer named Corey Hahn giving her the bums rush for no reason at all. 1.00
00:15:51.520 Take a look.
00:15:51.940 So, we're going to go.
00:15:54.100 Are you going to come with me or do I have to get someone to help us out?
00:15:57.600 I'm not like a criminal.
00:15:59.060 I'm not like a person who's a criminal.
00:16:01.420 You disrupt your own event.
00:16:02.640 You came here to disturb me.
00:16:06.000 I will stay here.
00:16:08.180 Actually, we'll stay here.
00:16:09.400 You're welcome to the sidewalk.
00:16:10.100 You're welcome to the sidewalk.
00:16:10.740 Yeah, but I want you to say that is not true what you're saying.
00:16:15.140 No.
00:16:15.460 We are not disrupting any event.
00:16:17.380 We're outside here.
00:16:18.240 Corey Hahn and Erin O'Toole are a disgrace, and they tried that again with David Menz.
00:16:22.560 He's just yesterday literally telling David to stand on a busy street because asking questions is disruptive. 0.97
00:16:29.900 Look at this cowardice.
00:16:31.020 You disrupt our events.
00:16:32.000 Like, I'm not going to, we're not going to do this.
00:16:34.240 Give me a definition of disruption.
00:16:35.960 What you're doing right now.
00:16:37.060 So, I'm asking you to leave.
00:16:37.840 I want to ask questions of Erin O'Toole.
00:16:40.060 I'm asking you to leave.
00:16:40.960 Okay.
00:16:41.520 You just, your outlet, and you also continually disrupt our events, so I'm asking you to leave.
00:16:46.620 Isn't that funny?
00:16:47.100 My outlet, 13 months ago, Erin O'Toole had nothing but time for us.
00:16:51.380 I'm going to ask you to leave.
00:16:51.940 No, no, no.
00:16:52.320 Wait a minute.
00:16:52.780 Excuse me.
00:16:53.560 What changed?
00:16:54.720 What changed?
00:16:55.640 No, I'm not debating.
00:16:56.460 I'm asking a question.
00:16:57.600 What changed with Erin O'Toole?
00:16:59.080 You're not on the sidewalk over there.
00:17:00.060 Does Erin O'Toole regret moving the party further left, stiffing Rebel News, stiffing Jordan Peterson?
00:17:06.020 Does he, Corey?
00:17:07.060 We're going to ask that you leave.
00:17:08.700 Okay.
00:17:09.200 You disrupt the events.
00:17:10.820 So, you're welcome to the sidewalk across the street.
00:17:13.340 I've just been standing here.
00:17:14.740 I've just been standing here.
00:17:15.740 How is that disruptive?
00:17:17.120 We have an event to start, and I'm asking you to leave. 0.97
00:17:20.120 And Erin O'Toole is too cowardly to come out of a bus. 1.00
00:17:23.640 I'm happy to walk with you. 0.99
00:17:24.500 This man wants to be Prime Minister.
00:17:26.440 Yeah.
00:17:27.240 Yeah.
00:17:27.460 On Monday, he will be, so I'm asking you to leave.
00:17:29.600 Oh, really?
00:17:30.100 Okay, then.
00:17:30.640 Then there should be nothing of concern, then.
00:17:32.900 We're going to leave the property.
00:17:34.060 This is not, this is public property, the berm.
00:17:37.520 If you have the blueprint to show me, this...
00:17:39.720 Do you have the blueprint?
00:17:40.960 This is what we've been told is the property to the curb.
00:17:43.820 To the curb.
00:17:44.220 Oh, who told you that, Corey?
00:17:45.740 We have the, we have the, the, the event manager.
00:17:48.800 They have, they own the city.
00:17:49.760 And the public property, correct?
00:17:51.720 Certainly the road is.
00:17:52.920 I'm pulled to the curb, and I'd be careful there.
00:17:55.700 There's a car coming.
00:17:56.500 Oh, no.
00:17:57.000 Do you see a theme here?
00:17:58.760 David, Sheila, Catherine, Alexa, there's nothing wrong with these people.
00:18:03.040 There's nothing wrong with their questions.
00:18:04.720 The political class, the insider's club didn't want to let them in at all,
00:18:07.920 and they didn't want to answer them at all.
00:18:10.460 And, and I think it's a premonition of how you will be treated if you're not part of this insider's club.
00:18:16.760 By the way, they kept Maxime Bernier out.
00:18:18.800 I wish he would have gone to court to sue to get in.
00:18:21.520 I mean, my God, if Annamie Paul of the Green Party, which is at, what, 2% and the polls can get in, 0.95
00:18:26.740 why not Maxime Bernier, who polled as high as 12% during this campaign?
00:18:31.240 I think perhaps the worst part of the campaign, not surprisingly,
00:18:35.140 was from our authoritarian, Castro-loving, Chinese Communist Party-loving Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau,
00:18:41.700 who on so many occasions demonized people who, for medical reasons or reasons of conscience,
00:18:47.020 are just, they're already immune naturally, don't want the vaccine.
00:18:50.540 Listen to this thug.
00:18:51.300 This is just the other day talking about how the vaccine passport is your reward for complying with the government,
00:18:58.880 as if you don't have rights anymore, and it's only what the government happens to throw your way,
00:19:04.240 and a bizarre implication that his vaccine won't protect him.
00:19:08.680 You need to take your vaccine for his vaccine to work.
00:19:13.040 There's no science here.
00:19:14.280 There's just an authoritarian dividing us and setting up a kind of medical apartheid.
00:19:18.500 Look at this.
00:19:19.120 We're paying for the provincial vaccine passports to make sure that when someone comes into a restaurant,
00:19:25.440 they'll know they won't be sitting beside a table of people who are unvaccinated.
00:19:29.960 When you go into a gym, when you go to a movie theater,
00:19:32.960 you need to know that if you've done the right things, you get to be safe.
00:19:37.740 You get to be rewarded for having done the right things.
00:19:40.500 That's what it's all about.
00:19:42.180 And those people who still hesitate, who still resist,
00:19:45.440 well, they won't get to enjoy the same things that those who've done their part for others.
00:19:50.580 It seems like a very logical thing.
00:19:52.940 It seems like a very obvious thing.
00:19:55.280 That's atrocious, and it is and it should be the leading issue in this debate,
00:19:59.960 except for it was not the leading issue in the debates because all of the five parties agree on it.
00:20:05.340 There was this really weird video taken before the English language debate
00:20:09.620 where all five of the official party leaders stood with some distance between them
00:20:14.760 that they normally don't do, and they all read from literally the same ad script saying,
00:20:20.160 get vaccinated.
00:20:21.060 I'm not against people choosing to get vaccinated, but that's not the issue.
00:20:24.720 The issue is, are you forced to get vaccinated?
00:20:26.340 Even if you have a medical or a conscience objection, all five of them were in total unanimity.
00:20:32.020 Remember this?
00:20:33.140 We're all in this together.
00:20:35.260 We've come so far in the fight against COVID.
00:20:37.520 It's time to finish this pandemic for good.
00:20:39.800 So get vaccinated.
00:20:41.180 If you know someone who hasn't, talk to them.
00:20:43.640 For our kids, for our communities, for our economy.
00:20:47.240 It's how we get forward together.
00:20:49.300 Vaccines are safe and effective for use.
00:20:52.160 Vaccines are the best way for you to protect yourself, your family, and your community. 0.82
00:20:57.420 So get vaccinated.
00:20:58.620 Let's fight COVID-19 together.
00:21:14.500 Merci.
00:21:15.220 We all agree getting vaccinated is the way forward.
00:21:19.520 We're all in agreement this is not a partisan issue.
00:21:21.920 So please get vaccinated.
00:21:24.140 We're united.
00:21:25.140 And it's time to get the shot.
00:21:26.960 Vaccines save lives.
00:21:28.640 They're how we're going to beat COVID.
00:21:30.260 And it's time for everyone to do it.
00:21:32.600 Get the shot. 0.99
00:21:33.820 Get the shot.
00:21:35.900 So what do you do if you don't have a single political option other than the establishment
00:21:42.220 five parties who are, you know, exactly the same?
00:21:45.600 Well, people coalesced under Maxime Bernier's People Party.
00:21:50.860 Now, I don't think that they're going to punch through in any one riding, because that's
00:21:55.560 the nature of our system.
00:21:56.380 It's first past the post.
00:21:57.660 It doesn't actually count for anything.
00:21:59.260 If you come in second in every riding in the country, but not first in any, you don't
00:22:03.260 get a single seat.
00:22:04.660 And I think the PPC is going to have a lot of second and a ton of third place finishes.
00:22:08.560 But I just don't think it's going to punch through.
00:22:10.960 I don't know what's going to happen in both Quebec.
00:22:12.660 I know that Chelsea Hillier, the daughter of Randy Hillier, is running a strong campaign. 0.93
00:22:16.900 I just am skeptical that she'll punch through.
00:22:19.480 But it's a sign that people want a true alternative.
00:22:24.220 Maxime Bernier was kept out of the debates.
00:22:26.140 We were kept out of the debates, other than the fact that we sued to get him.
00:22:29.420 So I think the us versus them, the divide in society is greater than ever.
00:22:33.840 And all the politicians are egging it on.
00:22:37.300 I saw some other quirks today.
00:22:38.600 Here's an actual tweet from Elections Canada saying, you have to wear a mask when you go
00:22:44.480 to vote.
00:22:45.200 And actually, the landlord of the building in which you vote can ban you if you don't
00:22:51.800 wear a mask.
00:22:52.380 Look at this tweet there.
00:22:53.620 Gee, I wonder what party that discriminates against.
00:22:57.600 People are asking me, a lot of people say, Ezra, what's your prediction?
00:23:00.760 Do you think it's going to be a majority, a minority, liberal minority, conservative minority?
00:23:08.040 I think the answer is, it pretty much doesn't matter.
00:23:12.560 I think the two choices we're looking at are a, I think it's most likely going to be a liberal
00:23:16.420 minority, if I had to guess.
00:23:18.760 But how is that different than a liberal majority, given that on all the important matters, the
00:23:23.540 parties are in lockstep, from vaccine passports, to open borders migration, to the carbon tax,
00:23:28.940 to phasing out the oil sands in Alberta, to, like, really, is there anything different
00:23:34.900 other than Erin O'Toole didn't dress up in blackface? 0.98
00:23:38.580 I should point that out.
00:23:39.880 I don't know if you saw this.
00:23:41.000 Here's a new blackface photo that I don't think anyone had seen before.
00:23:44.560 I saw this published in the Daily Mail of London, UK today.
00:23:48.720 You might know that London, UK is not in Canada.
00:23:51.100 Earlier today, I checked, and so far, not a mention of it on CBC or Global or other Canadian
00:23:57.940 networks.
00:23:58.520 The Star hadn't mentioned it.
00:24:00.120 Isn't that odd?
00:24:01.520 I wonder if it has anything to do with the fact that Trudeau has paid hundreds of millions
00:24:05.780 of dollars in payments to Canada's media, but they didn't pay the Daily Mail of the UK.
00:24:10.680 I wonder if that has anything to do with it.
00:24:12.640 My point is that on the key issues of our age, on the lockdown, on the vaccine passport,
00:24:18.220 does it really matter if it's a liberal majority, a liberal minority, a Trudeau, a conservative
00:24:25.000 minority?
00:24:25.480 Does it really make a difference on these key issues, given that they're all in lockstep
00:24:29.200 to begin with?
00:24:30.540 I think Rebel News fought a great campaign, and by fought, I mean fighting our way in,
00:24:34.880 attempting to get in, and showing the censorship mentality of all the parties.
00:24:42.640 And the issues that we've been talking about, we've become even more pressing, not just the
00:24:47.540 lockdowns and the vaccine passports, but remember, before Trudeau called the election, he was
00:24:52.220 preparing a series of bills that would censor the internet, and he made it crystal clear in
00:24:57.800 recent weeks that he thinks Rebel News is a source of disinformation.
00:25:02.660 In fact, that was his answer to Tamara Ugolini on the first night of the debate.
00:25:07.280 He said, we are dealers in misinformation.
00:25:09.500 We're not.
00:25:09.980 We've never been cited even by YouTube or Facebook for promoting some lie about the
00:25:15.940 vaccine or the virus.
00:25:17.260 In fact, Trudeau's campaign was called on the carpet by Twitter for manipulating a video.
00:25:22.060 Just to refresh, remember, here's Tamara and the Prime Minister denouncing us. 0.93
00:25:25.820 Listen to the Prime Minister's denunciation of us, and think to yourself, if and when he
00:25:31.080 brings in his censorship law, who do you think his first target's going to be?
00:25:35.640 Take a look.
00:25:35.980 Mr. Trudeau, the only reason that I'm allowed to ask you this question is because today the
00:25:42.300 federal court ruled that the government doesn't have the right to determine who is or is not
00:25:46.860 a journalist.
00:25:48.180 This is the second election in a row that the court has overturned your government.
00:25:53.240 Do you still insist on being able to make that decision, and why?
00:25:56.900 First of all, questions around accreditation were handled by the press gallery and the consortium
00:26:05.220 of networks who have strong perspectives on quality journalism and the important information
00:26:12.360 that is shared with Canadians.
00:26:14.040 The reality is organizations like yours that continue to spread misinformation and disinformation
00:26:26.340 on the science around vaccines, around how we're going to actually get through this pandemic
00:26:33.860 and be there for each other and keep our kids safe is part of why we're seeing such unfortunate
00:26:41.460 anger and lack of understanding of basic science.
00:26:46.900 And quite frankly, your, I won't call it a media organization, your group of individuals need
00:26:55.180 to take accountability for some of the polarization that we're seeing in this country.
00:27:01.660 And I think Canadians are cluing into the fact that there is a really important decision
00:27:08.220 we take about the kind of country we want to see.
00:27:11.020 And I salute all extraordinary, hardworking journalists that put science and facts at the heart of what
00:27:18.140 they do and ask me tough questions every day, but make sure that they are educating and informing Canadians
00:27:26.360 from a broad range of perspectives, which is the last thing that you guys do.
00:27:31.080 You might think that the conservatives would oppose that, but let me play for you a video of Alain Reyes,
00:27:37.060 the conservative critic, Aaron O'Toole's critic for the Heritage Minister.
00:27:40.680 Here he is in Parliament a few months back saying he personally supports cracking down on YouTube channels
00:27:46.480 that engage in fake news, which, as we can see, is rebel news.
00:27:50.400 They hate rebel news over at the Conservative Party.
00:27:52.220 Here's the conservative critic saying, yeah, we're all about censorship too.
00:27:56.440 But we don't see it in the bill.
00:28:00.620 There's nothing in this bill that allows for the regulation of social media or platforms like YouTube.
00:28:07.580 And it's clear we would have liked to have seen this in the bill.
00:28:10.960 The minister even says we have to find a way of preventing hate speech, conspiracy theories and fake news that's shared.
00:28:21.100 But right now in the bill, unfortunately, we won't even be able to amend it in that aspect.
00:28:29.000 And because it's simply absent from the bill.
00:28:31.400 So our battles will continue.
00:28:32.860 In fact, I really think that it's about insiders and outsiders now.
00:28:36.360 I don't think it's right wing, left wing in the way it was before.
00:28:38.620 I think that the political class wants to wage war one region against the other.
00:28:43.820 But I think it's about the people versus the state, about authoritarians versus people who believe in liberty.
00:28:48.580 If I look at rebel news as a microcosm of Canada, I see the people who in the past would have called themselves left wing,
00:28:54.200 but who don't believe in having medical procedures forced on them, sort of pro-choice people,
00:28:59.760 are flocking to rebel news because we're the only other side of the story.
00:29:03.480 The reason Maxime Bernier is doing well is because he's the other side of the story.
00:29:06.860 So our mission becomes even more important in the months ahead.
00:29:10.760 I don't know.
00:29:11.180 I think these are dark days.
00:29:12.220 And I don't think this election is actually going to change things that much.
00:29:15.320 But I want to show you a flicker of hope.
00:29:17.000 And it's from down under.
00:29:18.820 Let me show you a little teaser from our friend Avi Yamini.
00:29:22.740 And then I'm going to show you a quick, a longer clip.
00:29:25.340 Here's Avi.
00:29:26.400 Avi Yamini here for Rebel News in Melbourne, Australia.
00:29:30.740 We're outside the CFMEU headquarters where thousands of members are gathering to protest the health tyranny here in Victoria.
00:29:41.760 No police.
00:29:42.960 Barely a couple of police is blocking the road.
00:29:44.760 No police.
00:29:46.020 I suspect they are a little bit concerned about taking on this lot.
00:29:51.100 We're here all day to bring you the exclusive story to rebelnews.com.au.
00:29:56.000 We'll tell you the other side of this story.
00:29:58.640 Watch this space.
00:29:59.460 That's Avi, who was outside an office, the headquarters, of a major trade union in Melbourne, Australia.
00:30:08.880 And by trade union, I mean construction workers, guys who work hard outside construction sites.
00:30:15.720 Their union boss, John Setka, I've never heard of the union before, the union boss,
00:30:21.960 did a deal with the government saying, yeah, we will force our guys to take the vax.
00:30:26.800 And so out front of the labor union HQ, more than a thousand construction workers came to protest against their union boss agreeing to the jab.
00:30:42.140 They stood outside for well over an hour.
00:30:45.200 And then finally, John Setka and his number two came down wearing their mask and trying to talk into the bullhorn back.
00:30:53.480 And then they finally took the mask off again.
00:30:55.200 That mask theater shows what side's really a flag to show what side you're on.
00:30:59.200 Now, I'm going to play for you about 15 minutes.
00:31:02.300 We're not having a guest today because at 8 p.m.
00:31:05.380 Eastern time, we're having a live stream.
00:31:07.500 We're going to be on TV for about five hours.
00:31:10.040 So instead of having an interview now that will be stale dated because the election results are coming out,
00:31:14.840 tune in on YouTube, 8 p.m. till 1 a.m. Eastern time.
00:31:18.780 We'll have Sheila co-hosting and a ton of great guests. 0.97
00:31:21.080 But let me leave you with this because there's a flicker of hope here.
00:31:24.620 Let me show you 15 minutes.
00:31:26.740 And this was recorded by Real Rakhshan.
00:31:28.720 And maybe we'll put a link to his website on this page because I want to give him credit for this video.
00:31:33.740 But I want to show you 15 minutes.
00:31:35.860 So outside, a thousand union members, and they had stacks of bottled water and Coke because they weren't going anywhere.
00:31:42.400 And I mention that because they used those as projectiles later in the video.
00:31:45.820 They're demanding their union boss be accountable to them.
00:31:48.740 And remember, these are folks who haven't had any accountability in the media, in politics, in the legislatures.
00:31:54.440 And finally, they're there with their union boss who sold them out.
00:31:58.520 Not on a wage matter or a safety matter.
00:32:01.820 Sold them out that they would all take the jab.
00:32:03.380 And a thousand men said, we're not taking the jab.
00:32:06.260 You'll listen to them saying, if there's any all-vaxxed construction site, they'll have a rogue picket.
00:32:13.220 As in, the unvaxxed construction workers will picket the all-vaxxed.
00:32:18.920 Like, that's how hardcore these guys are.
00:32:21.040 There's this beautiful scene where a guy talks about fighting communism.
00:32:25.780 And all the labor union members chant, freedom, freedom.
00:32:29.020 There's also some very colorful chants of how they describe their sellout boss.
00:32:33.380 The whole thing ends when the sellout boss goes back in the building and the mob tries to go in.
00:32:39.100 They sort of raid the union office.
00:32:41.300 The funny thing is the boss of the union put out a press release saying, oh, those were neo-Nazi activists.
00:32:47.160 Those weren't real union members.
00:32:48.700 Yeah, you'll see in this 15-minute clip, every one of them was a union member, construction members who were sick of their boss selling out.
00:32:56.720 And I found this inspirational and encouraging.
00:32:59.840 And it just says, if someone steps forward, maybe others will join.
00:33:03.220 And let me leave you with 15 minutes of video from Real Rakhshan in Australia, outside the Trade Labor Union headquarters.
00:33:12.180 I'm going to say goodbye now.
00:33:13.620 We'll see you on our live stream tonight.
00:33:16.580 Enjoy 15 minutes from Real Rakhshan.
00:33:18.860 And until tomorrow, good night.
00:33:21.280 And keep fighting for freedom.
