Rebel News Podcast - EZRA LEVANT ｜ Tamara Lich, the peaceful trucker organizer, is finally released from jail after 18 days. What a disgrace.

00:00:00.160 Hello, my Rebels. Today, I take you through the terrible case of Tamara Litch.

00:00:04.660 She was the young woman who was the organizer and crowdfunder of the Trucker Convoy,

00:00:10.560 and she was arrested 18 days ago on charges of inciting mischief,

00:00:15.440 which has to be the lowest, the most modest offense in the whole criminal code.

00:00:19.180 I've never heard of anyone being jailed for that, but alas, she just spent 18 days in jail. 0.96

00:00:24.920 And I'll explain to you why the judges did that to her 0.95

00:00:28.240 and the absurd conditions they put on her when they released her last night.

00:00:32.740 It's a terrible tale. That's a head.

00:00:35.240 But before we get there, let me invite you to become a subscriber to Rebel News Plus.

00:00:59.460 All right, here's today's show.

00:01:00.380 Tonight, Tamara Lich, the peaceful trucker organizer, is finally released from jail after 18 days.

00:01:22.400 What a disgrace.

00:01:23.940 It's March 8th, and this is the Ezra Levant Show.

00:01:26.060 Why should others go to jail when you're a biggest carbon consumer I know?

00:01:32.200 There's 8,500 customers here, and you won't give them an answer.

00:01:36.240 The only thing I have to say to the government about why I publish it is because it's my bloody right to do so.

00:01:42.100 Last month, Tamara Lich was arrested on the streets of Ottawa, handcuffed like she was some violent criminal, 1.00

00:01:56.620 packed into a police vehicle, and taken to jail for inciting mischief.

00:02:02.360 I'm seriously.

00:02:03.320 I'm serious.

00:02:03.780 I mean, according to prosecutors, she had told truckers to hold the line, and that meant keep protesting.

00:02:14.220 And that, apparently, is illegal in both Vladimir Putin's Russia and Justin Trudeau's Canada.

00:02:21.180 I have never in my life heard of someone charged with inciting mischief, as in she herself didn't even commit mischief.

00:02:28.660 She just encouraged others, one degree of separation, and such a person being held in jail pending trial. 0.63

00:02:38.340 I think mischief is the absolute lowest criminal code offense there is.

00:02:44.080 It's sort of a catch-all for things police don't like, like vandalism or jaywalking.

00:02:49.740 That's the level of it.

00:02:51.520 It's not assault.

00:02:52.920 It's not trespass.

00:02:53.820 It's not theft.

00:02:54.500 It's nothing violent, of course.

00:02:55.920 It's just mischief.

00:02:56.800 Up to no good.

00:02:57.540 You're up to those kids.

00:02:58.900 Up to no good.

00:03:02.120 Inciting mischief is one degree lighter.

00:03:05.000 And Trudeau's judge denied her bail in the first instance.

00:03:09.080 Accused murderers get bail in Canada.

00:03:11.340 Accused terrorists, but not accused opponents of Trudeau.

00:03:14.180 Here's Trudeau praising that first judge, Judge Bourgeois, when she ran as a liberal candidate a few elections back.

00:03:22.820 It's an extraordinary pleasure for me to tell you how much I have great admiration for Julie Bourgeois.

00:03:30.600 Her vision, her authenticity, her strength is going to be an amazing asset, both of the people of Glengarry, Prescott, Russell, but also to everyone in the House of Commons after the next elections, when I will have hopefully the honor of sitting beside her in the House.

00:03:46.860 Thank you very much.

00:03:48.200 Thank you very much.

00:03:48.260 Thank you very much.

00:03:49.260 Yeah, in the United Kingdom, having a Trudeau liberal judge a critic of Trudeau and jail her, that would be called a stitch-up.

00:03:58.400 A stitch-up.

00:03:59.380 Well, Tamara Lich appealed her outrageous imprisonment, and another judge heard the appeal last Wednesday.

00:04:07.640 The judge heard the back and forth for almost a full day, but then he said he would need a few more days before he could get around to issuing a ruling.

00:04:18.440 So the trial, the hearing, was over in one day.

00:04:21.260 But the judge said, I'm not even kidding, the judge said he was busy.

00:04:25.800 That's the word he used.

00:04:27.920 I swear, you said he was busy.

00:04:30.780 So Tamara Lich had to sit in prison for five more days because the judge was just so busy. 1.00

00:04:37.980 Well, yesterday, the judge finally got over his busy weekend and released Tamara Lich 18 days behind bars.

00:04:47.300 Yeah, we do have political prisoners in Canada, if you doubt me.

00:05:07.660 Ask where Arthur Pawlowski is today. 0.99

00:05:10.760 And they're turning against you, you freaking Nazis. 1.00

00:05:15.360 That's what you are. 0.99

00:05:16.880 What are you doing to the clergymen in this country?

00:05:20.760 Who are you aiding?

00:05:22.580 Who are you aiding, man? 1.00

00:05:24.420 You criminal. 1.00

00:05:26.420 You criminal. 1.00

00:05:27.460 What are you doing? 0.99

00:05:28.780 Record this, man.

00:05:30.420 Record this.

00:05:32.140 Look what they're doing to the clergymen. 0.94

00:05:34.600 Look what they're doing to a preacher. 1.00

00:05:36.880 Mischief.

00:05:37.440 You're a priest.

00:05:38.580 I do not cooperate with that. 0.66

00:05:40.200 You're a priest.

00:05:41.520 You're a, this is a priest, you understand that? 1.00

00:05:44.500 You criminals. 0.99

00:05:45.920 Okay, back up. 1.00

00:05:46.980 You criminals. 0.97

00:05:47.980 Back up. 0.82

00:05:49.020 Please, back up.

00:05:51.280 Look what they're doing.

00:05:52.720 Look what they're doing.

00:05:53.480 Tamara Lich was thrown in prison because she was a thorn in the side of Justin Trudeau. 0.88

00:05:58.620 So she had to be punished, obviously.

00:06:00.440 Arthur Pawlowski, the pastor, is a thorn in the side of Jason Kenney in Alberta.

00:06:04.880 So obviously he has to be punished.

00:06:06.700 She'll notice that no politicians from any party, liberal, conservative, NDP, have spoken

00:06:13.980 out against imprisoning people for political reasons.

00:06:17.840 Where are all the Christian conservatives in Canada standing up for Arthur Pawlowski?

00:06:21.800 Not one of them will speak for him.

00:06:23.960 And not one would speak out against the outrageous jailing of a peaceful protester to Meryl Lich.

00:06:30.740 There's not a single one of them.

00:06:32.460 Even if you disagree with these people and what they stand for, you're not perturbed by

00:06:39.260 jailing peaceful political opponents of the regime.

00:06:43.100 You know, a few politicians did care.

00:06:45.000 In the United States, why would Ohio legislators care more about the jailing of a Christian pastor 1.00

00:06:54.980 in Canada than Canadian legislators?

00:06:57.260 The jailing of Tamara Lich was a global disgrace.

00:07:01.420 It was global news, not just here in Canada.

00:07:04.340 Here is the crowd of protesters in London, UK, out to meet Justin Trudeau and to demand to

00:07:13.120 Meryl Lich's freedom.

00:07:13.820 This was yesterday.

00:07:14.400 Take a look. 1.00

00:07:15.060 Fuck Trudeau! 1.00

00:07:16.280 Fuck Trudeau! 1.00

00:07:17.940 Fuck Trudeau! 1.00

00:07:19.680 The world saw the madness. 1.00

00:07:22.140 Canada's establishment doesn't care, though. 0.57

00:07:24.300 What a laugh.

00:07:25.480 Trudeau crushed our civil liberties like a bowl of eggs.

00:07:28.160 But he'll give some lectures to Vladimir Putin, I guess.

00:07:32.980 And we've come to a moment that, quite frankly, we've seen coming over the past years.

00:07:42.720 And we've talked about it in the news, not just about Ukraine, but about democracies around

00:07:48.200 the world, that we see a bit of a slippage in our democracies.

00:07:52.760 Countries turning towards slightly more authoritarian leaders.

00:08:00.560 Countries allowing increasing misinformation and disinformation to be shared on social media,

00:08:07.040 turning people against the values and the principles of democracies that are so strong.

00:08:15.040 And that slippage over the years, unfortunately, emboldened Putin.

00:08:22.760 It made him think that he could get away with this, that he could get away with it in Ukraine.

00:08:28.720 Here's Canada's foreign affairs Twitter account.

00:08:32.580 Always good for a laugh.

00:08:34.720 Canada is concerned about the recent moves to restrict media freedom and prevent access

00:08:40.520 to media in Russia.

00:08:43.600 The right to freedom of opinion and expression is a cornerstone of safe and prosperous societies.

00:08:49.080 Got it.

00:08:49.680 Got it.

00:08:50.020 Now, both Trudeau and Putin are introducing new laws or policies to ban disinformation and

00:08:58.140 crack down on fake news, which is simply what they each call their opponents these days.

00:09:03.900 My question is, who's copying whom?

00:09:07.080 Speaking of thugs, here's Trudeau's public safety minister, Marco Mendicino, who repeatedly

00:09:13.800 lied about the truckers.

00:09:15.440 He called them rapists, if you recall. 0.98

00:09:18.380 He called them violent. 0.99

00:09:20.340 He called them Nazis.

00:09:22.040 But look at him here.

00:09:24.420 Here's a tweet by Bob Mackin.

00:09:26.440 The Trudeau liberal public safety minister came all the way to Surrey for a photo op with

00:09:31.620 Doug McCallum a day before the mayor's next public mischief court date.

00:09:37.600 Got it.

00:09:37.940 So the mayor of Surrey was awaiting trial on mischief charges, too.

00:09:45.000 Mischief.

00:09:45.780 Hmm.

00:09:46.140 Is that a fact?

00:09:47.400 Something about claiming someone drove over someone's foot.

00:09:52.160 I don't know all the details and they're not important.

00:09:54.780 Police say it's a crime.

00:09:56.280 Five day trial.

00:09:57.320 Whatever.

00:09:58.140 But he got bail.

00:09:59.280 No problem.

00:10:00.060 Of course, it's just mischief.

00:10:02.080 There's some sort of physical altercation.

00:10:03.980 In fact, the public safety minister is happy to sit with him, an accused criminal.

00:10:11.500 It's just mischief.

00:10:13.780 But Tamara Litt's jailed for 18 days. 1.00

00:10:15.780 So she's free now.

00:10:16.960 Yeah, it's true.

00:10:17.720 With a $5,000 bond from herself.

00:10:20.740 A $20,000 bond from a family member.

00:10:22.920 That means if she fails her conditions, that money's paid to the government.

00:10:26.260 She had to leave Ottawa within 24 hours.

00:10:31.180 Apparently, she's banned from the city, exiled from the city.

00:10:34.500 Is that a thing?

00:10:35.740 You can exile someone?

00:10:37.480 Oh, and she has to leave Ontario, the whole province, in 72 hours.

00:10:40.980 Is that a thing?

00:10:42.580 Can you just say, poof, you are not allowed to travel anywhere in Ontario?

00:10:46.900 Wow.

00:10:47.940 For mischief.

00:10:49.640 That's insane.

00:10:50.440 I mean, what if I told you that a critic of Vladimir Putin was banned from Moscow, or

00:10:55.380 that a critic of Joe Biden was banned from Washington, D.C. and the states adjacent to it?

00:11:00.760 A peaceful political critic.

00:11:02.140 I mean, you would say that's tyrannical.

00:11:05.160 Tamara Litt has to report to police. 0.99

00:11:06.900 She has to reside where directed.

00:11:10.780 She can't talk to other truckers who are peaceful protesters as well, the ones who have been charged.

00:11:16.760 She's just not allowed to talk to them, just stop talking to them. 0.56

00:11:21.380 What's that got to do with that?

00:11:23.200 I guess that's a crime now, too, or something?

00:11:27.140 And get this, no social media.

00:11:31.240 That's how she would talk to all the truckers. 0.99

00:11:33.100 She would make little Facebook posts.

00:11:34.940 Just ban.

00:11:35.720 What's that got to do with the crime?

00:11:37.520 And a ban against protesting Trudeau's COVID policies.

00:11:46.660 Very, very specific.

00:11:48.980 She's allowed to criticize tax policy.

00:11:52.000 She's allowed to criticize Ukraine-Russia policy.

00:11:55.260 She's banned from talking about Trudeau's COVID policy.

00:11:58.520 So I guess this wasn't really about a crime at all, was it?

00:12:02.660 It was a political crime, which in Canada is not a real crime.

00:12:07.520 She really was a political prisoner.

00:12:09.440 And if she dares to oppose Trudeau on COVID, she will literally be thrown in jail for that. 0.96

00:12:13.760 It reminds me of that fool judge in Alberta, Adam Germain, the one who originally ordered 0.88

00:12:19.860 Arthur Pavlovsky that if he was ever to criticize lockdowns, he had to immediately read out a little 0.95

00:12:27.580 card written by the judge, a little self-renunciation authored by that particular judge.

00:12:33.140 So if Arthur Pavlovsky in a sermon or on Facebook or in a media interview, if he said his own

00:12:39.360 beliefs, he had to immediately recant them, this Ontario judge has gone further.

00:12:46.800 At least Arthur Pavlovsky could say his piece before he had to renounce himself.

00:12:51.700 But this Ontario judge is just plain old banned Tamara Lich from saying anything critical of 0.97

00:12:57.280 Trudeau's COVID policies at all.

00:12:58.580 It's just, she can't even say it.

00:13:02.060 Does Vladimir Putin do that too?

00:13:05.740 Or does he hand that off to judges like Trudeau does?

00:13:10.180 And do you think this was raised by the official opposition in Ottawa, by the Conservative Party?

00:13:15.460 Really by anyone?

00:13:16.340 By the Canadian Civil Liberties Association or other left-wing groups?

00:13:20.840 No, my friends.

00:13:22.540 Every day, the establishment, the ruling class sees how far they can push.

00:13:28.900 And every day, the answer is still further.

00:13:34.160 No one has stopped them, so they keep going.

00:13:36.800 They go further.

00:13:38.200 Nothing has stopped them yet.

00:13:39.580 The truckers slowed them down a bit.

00:13:41.440 Oh, they didn't like that.

00:13:42.460 But nothing has stopped them yet.

00:13:45.640 And they won't stop.

00:13:48.080 Why would they?

00:13:50.640 Stay with us for more.

00:13:51.680 Russia, as part of their sophisticated information and disinformation operations, 0.57

00:14:11.420 engage actively with so-called non-governmental organizations,

00:14:16.980 environmental organizations working against shale gas.

00:14:20.500 Obviously, to maintain European dependence on imported Russian gas.

00:14:31.920 That's my interpretation.

00:14:33.460 That's a clip from Anders Fogh Rasmussen, who used to be the head of NATO.

00:14:38.480 You heard the man.

00:14:39.280 He said that Russia was taking money to convince, to fund anti-fracking,

00:14:45.500 anti-drilling groups in Europe to remove the possibility for Europe to be self-sufficient for natural gas.

00:14:54.160 There's a lot of natural gas in the shale across Poland, across France, even in Germany.

00:15:02.020 But for, I don't know, $50 million to environmental groups, that stopped $50 billion in oil and gas development,

00:15:12.280 making it so they had to buy from Gazprom and other Russian energy companies.

00:15:17.460 Well, finally, the chickens have come home to roost.

00:15:20.760 Europe simply cannot quit that Russian oil and gas.

00:15:24.760 Yes, America says it will turn off the taps to Russia.

00:15:29.280 But incredibly, instead of opening up the Keystone XL pipeline or more drilling in America, just shocking to me,

00:15:35.980 Joe Biden said he's going to ask the conflict oil countries in the world, including Saudi Arabia and Venezuela,

00:15:43.380 and possibly even Iran, to produce more oil.

00:15:46.520 Well, joining us now to talk about this extreme situation is our friend Mark Marano, the boss of Climate Depot.com.

00:15:52.900 Mark, great to see you again.

00:15:54.860 I think it's incredible that Joe Biden literally is choosing foreign conflict oil over American and Canadian ethical oil.

00:16:04.700 I never thought I'd see the day, but we're seeing it.

00:16:07.980 We are, Ezra, and of course, you forged the way on this.

00:16:10.620 We were just talking almost a decade ago when we were talking about this,

00:16:13.840 and you were pushing that concept of the ethical oil.

00:16:17.000 And what the Biden administration is doing right now, by shutting out Canadian oil, by shutting out U.S. domestic oil,

00:16:24.840 all it's done is empower Russia's Putin, Iran, OPEC, Venezuela, and of course the green energy mandates have empowered China,

00:16:34.140 which the U.S. is buying about 90 percent of our solar panels there, all the rare earth mining,

00:16:38.780 the cobalt in Africa using underage, the slave labor in China.

00:16:41.920 It is an incredible situation.

00:16:44.280 It's literally turned logic, scientific evidence, and energy reality on its head, but they're not giving up.

00:16:51.760 They're putting sanctions on Russia, but they refuse to lift the sanctions on U.S. and Canadian domestic energy.

00:16:59.380 Well, that's a great point.

00:17:00.300 I mean, Biden literally canceled the Keystone XL pipeline, but he did approve the Nord Stream 2 pipeline.

00:17:06.920 I mean, whether or not it continues to be built, I don't know, but Nord Stream 1, like Germany cannot cut off Russia.

00:17:16.480 Poland cannot. 0.97

00:17:17.400 They're talking about giving military aid to Ukraine, but they're still financing Russia every day by buying Russian oil.

00:17:24.920 The only true sanctions put on any oil company are Biden putting them on Canadian-American producers.

00:17:31.360 You know what caught my attention, Mark?

00:17:33.660 When Elon Musk made this tweet last week, Elon Musk, the boss of Tesla, everybody knows he's a big green energy guy,

00:17:42.560 but he said that he supports oil and gas, and that that's what America needs now.

00:17:50.400 And maybe one day, you know, it'll be a green energy economy, but it's not there now.

00:17:54.940 I was surprised by what Elon Musk said.

00:17:57.100 What do you think?

00:17:58.580 Well, I honestly believe, if you know the film The Matrix, that Elon Musk has been red-pilled.

00:18:03.540 This is not the same Elon Musk from two or three years ago.

00:18:07.080 He started against the lockdowns.

00:18:10.120 Then he was against the vaccine mandates.

00:18:11.940 He started, he had been speaking out about anti-COVID stuff for a long time, upsetting the liberals, the Biden administration,

00:18:20.480 all the, you know, the lockdown left, if you will.

00:18:23.560 So now he's coming out with some serious energy reality on Keystone and oil and domestic thing.

00:18:29.800 It's an amazing thing.

00:18:31.200 I just think that his worldview has shifted.

00:18:34.560 He's been red-pilled.

00:18:35.240 There's no other explanation for that.

00:18:37.600 Elon Musk is a very important elite person, if you will, one of the wealthiest men in the world.

00:18:42.340 He may be the wealthiest.

00:18:43.380 I can't keep track of that.

00:18:44.960 But this is a man who is speaking his mind and speaking it freely, and they can't cancel him.

00:18:50.900 And that's the problem here.

00:18:51.980 But he gets it.

00:18:53.580 Yeah.

00:18:53.780 Well, I mean, even more remarkable is that Tesla is based on a post-fossil fuel future.

00:18:59.240 So for him to come out for oil and gas, I think his powerful position is part of it, but that it's against his own self-interest, I think, is even more powerful.

00:19:09.760 You know, some journalists have tried to ask the Biden administration, why don't you just turn on the taps in America and Canada?

00:19:17.640 Like, seriously, running to Nicolas Maduro in Venezuela or looking to do a deal with Iran, which is the craziest.

00:19:24.800 Here's how a question and answer went in the White House briefing just the other day.

00:19:31.460 Take a look at this.

00:19:32.460 Let me finish.

00:19:33.780 Let me finish.

00:19:34.880 An executive order.

00:19:36.200 His first week that halted new oil and gas.

00:19:38.920 Let me give you the facts here.

00:19:41.720 And I know that can be inconvenient, but I think they're important in this moment.

00:19:45.000 To the contrary, we have been clear that in the short-term, supply must keep up with the demand.

00:19:51.140 We are here and around the world where we make the shift to a secure, clean energy future.

00:19:55.920 We are one of the largest producers with a strong domestic oil and gas industry.

00:20:00.360 We have actually produced more oil.

00:20:02.720 It is at record numbers.

00:20:04.360 And we will continue to produce more oil.

00:20:06.860 There are 9,000 approved drilling permits that are not being used.

00:20:11.720 So the suggestion that we are not allowing companies to drill is inaccurate.

00:20:16.880 The suggestion that that is what is hindering or preventing gas prices to come down is inaccurate.

00:20:23.140 Would President Biden rescind his executive order that halts new oil and natural gas leases on public lands?

00:20:32.080 Well, 90% of them happen on private lands, as I'm sure you know.

00:20:36.080 And there are 9,000 unused approved drilling permits.

00:20:40.600 So I would suggest you ask the oil companies why they're not using those if there's a desire to drill more.

00:20:46.180 Would President Biden ever undo his executive order that stopped the construction of the Keystone XL pipeline?

00:20:53.000 Are you suggesting that would solve the gas prices issue?

00:20:55.860 Well, do you think that that would maybe affect prices faster than getting the whole country off of fossil fuels?

00:21:02.920 I actually don't think it would.

00:21:05.040 The Keystone was not an oil field.

00:21:07.740 It's a pipeline.

00:21:08.940 Also, the oil is continuing to flow in just through other means.

00:21:13.520 So it actually would have nothing to do with the current supply imbalance.

00:21:17.800 So gas prices are approaching an all-time high per gallon.

00:21:22.060 How high would they have to get before President Biden would say,

00:21:25.920 I'm going to set aside my ambitious climate goals and just increase domestic oil production,

00:21:33.100 get the producers to drill more here, and we can address the fossil fuel future later?

00:21:38.740 Well, again, Peter, the U.S. produced more oil this past year than in President Trump's first year.

00:21:45.140 Next year, according to the Department of Energy, we will produce more oil than ever before.

00:21:50.280 Those are the facts.

00:21:51.980 I find it remarkable that they want Saudi oil.

00:21:55.420 They want Venezuelan oil.

00:21:56.940 They even might want Iranian oil.

00:22:00.440 But they do not want American oil.

00:22:02.520 Well, I think that really the worst sanctions are on America, not on Russia.

00:22:07.540 They are.

00:22:08.360 And Jen Psaki is literally trying to say, it's the oil companies that won't drill.

00:22:12.640 We have 9,000 leases and they're not drilling.

00:22:14.800 Well, first of all, you have to get a permit to drill.

00:22:17.480 Second of all, there's about four, almost half of that number waiting for pending approval from the federal government.

00:22:22.720 Besides that, what the Biden administration, not Obama, has done is literally gone to every length possible with the Treasury Department to defund fossil fuel energy extraction.

00:22:36.240 So even if they got a permit, first of all, they have to decide if these sites are worthy of the investment.

00:22:41.340 And the investments are incredibly expensive, given that through environment, social governance style ideology, they're being defunded.

00:22:51.040 Banks who lend to fossil fuel companies have higher interest rates.

00:22:54.600 They're faring very poorly on the social credit system.

00:22:59.020 And what's ended up happening is they are being defunded.

00:23:02.460 This is a key point.

00:23:04.120 And this whole, they keep doing this sleight of hand about the permits, about the leases versus permits.

00:23:09.220 And it doesn't mean a thing because these companies are not allowed, are not able to drill.

00:23:16.300 And it would take years, by the way, with this federal permitting process to ramp up.

00:23:20.680 And then, of course, we've talked about Keystone.

00:23:22.840 Well, Keystone would be more oil daily, I think, 850,000 gallons versus the 600 barrels, versus the 600,000 barrels we get from Russia.

00:23:32.520 And Keystone would be a few years away.

00:23:34.180 But the biggest thing that the Biden administration has done since day one is tell the energy future markets that America is closing for business, whether it's Keystone, whether it's federal lands, whether it's fracking death of 1,000 cuts, whether it's defunding the fossil fuel industry, whether it's going after offshore drilling.

00:23:54.800 Whatever it is, this is a futures market that looked 1, 5, 10 years ahead.

00:24:00.320 When you send those signals to energy markets like the gas market, you are just going to hike prices.

00:24:07.540 That's why his announcement today on Russian oil will further announce it.

00:24:11.820 So what I was arguing, Ezra, was no Russian sanctions lifted until domestic energy sanctions are lifted in America.

00:24:20.500 That should be a condition for the Republican Party.

00:24:23.020 I don't think it will be.

00:24:24.100 They should get immediate and concrete concessions out of the Biden administration that they are going to lift what they did in the first week of office that has had a lasting impact on domestic energy.

00:24:35.700 Yeah.

00:24:36.000 You know, when Biden talks about releasing petroleum from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve, it sounds a lot when you say 20 million, 30 million barrels.

00:24:44.160 But America burns, I don't know, 18 million barrels a day going from memory.

00:24:49.320 So, sure, you can release 30 million barrels, and that will be sopped up in 36 hours.

00:24:55.500 I mean, it just doesn't make any sense.

00:24:59.240 The Keystone XL pipeline was so close to being finished.

00:25:03.260 I mean, you say it would be a year or two to get it done.

00:25:05.640 That's probably the case because everything has been so shut down.

00:25:09.140 I mean, the company has abandoned the project.

00:25:11.260 That just to ramp it back up would take two years.

00:25:14.260 But it was well underway.

00:25:17.300 I mean, you can still find online some of the gorgeous videos of the part being built across the border.

00:25:23.900 Like, that pipeline was close.

00:25:26.900 And it's just so incredible how all the ideas of ethical oil are just as valid now as they were a decade ago.

00:25:33.680 So, Mark, it's great to see you.

00:25:34.900 I hope you keep up the fight down there.

00:25:36.840 And I think you've put a new idea in my mind that the worst sanctions right now are not being put on Russia.

00:25:41.860 In fact, they're not really sanctioning important oil sanctions on Russia because Europe can't do that.

00:25:47.420 Frankly, Europe ought to be careful Russia doesn't sanction them by not selling oil to them.

00:25:51.600 Like, China could just buy all that oil and, God forbid, Russia would sanction Europe and Europe would be plunged into energy poverty overnight.

00:26:03.740 Like, if you took all that Russian oil and gas out of Europe, I really don't know what would happen there if it happened immediately.

00:26:10.960 They could topple Western Europe to the point where Russia could be the second largest economy next to Germany. 0.80

00:26:16.140 How bad it got was U.K. Prime Minister Boris Johnson in 2019, in order to virtue signal for the net zero Green New Deal style agenda in Europe,

00:26:26.340 literally got two big fracking wells in U.K. and they poured concrete in them.

00:26:31.600 This would have supplied 50 years of natural gas to England.

00:26:35.420 This is a kind of madness that's occurred.

00:26:37.800 And on top of that, there's word today that this is according to Bloomberg News,

00:26:42.580 because Obama's former Treasury official, Mark Mazur, has now said the quiet part out loud.

00:26:48.860 The climate actors, he goes, quote, we don't want lower prices for fossil fuel buyers.

00:26:53.020 We prefer higher prices to achieve climate change goals.

00:26:56.780 Direct quote.

00:26:57.860 So this is by design.

00:26:59.320 So they don't care about ethical energy.

00:27:01.380 They care about destroying the old order in order to force some green solar wind utopia.

00:27:08.520 A great reset of energy.

00:27:10.340 And that's why they're all excited about it.

00:27:12.040 They think we can double down now and go all green and somehow we're all going to just be able to shift over to renewable energy,

00:27:18.340 which is less than four percent solar and wind, less than four percent of U.S. energy production.

00:27:22.380 It's going to magically take over.

00:27:23.720 I don't know how.

00:27:24.720 Yeah.

00:27:25.060 Well, I mean, I know Trudeau hasn't said a word about opening up the Keystone XL pipeline.

00:27:29.680 He doesn't want it either.

00:27:30.560 He believes in high energy prices.

00:27:32.820 He, you know, we had a liberal leader who called that the green shift.

00:27:36.760 It makes life so expensive, it forces you to change how you live.

00:27:41.420 Mark Morano, ClimateDepot.com.

00:27:42.820 Great to see you again, my friend.

00:27:43.960 Thank you.

00:27:44.400 Stay with us.

00:27:45.000 More ahead.

00:27:45.420 Hey, welcome back.

00:27:58.200 Your Letters John B says, no problem, Mazra.

00:28:00.840 You have a cast iron case in law.

00:28:03.660 He cannot legally block any citizen from reading or accessing an official departmental platform.

00:28:09.140 He can mute your comments but cannot deny your access.

00:28:11.400 Well, I appreciate your concurrence.

00:28:15.100 That's my thinking.

00:28:16.100 That's what our lawyers think, and we filed a lawsuit.

00:28:19.280 I mean, I don't want, I'm not interested in following his personal family accounts.

00:28:22.300 I'm not, I'm not expecting him to talk to me or be friends with me.

00:28:26.720 In fact, I really don't care about him as a personal private citizen.

00:28:30.920 Catherine McKenna had banned Sheila Gunn-Reed from Twitter too, but now that she's left politics

00:28:36.200 in disgrace, we're really not interested in her Twitter account anymore.

00:28:39.040 It's her own.

00:28:39.820 Why would we care?

00:28:42.200 But if a government office with government staff is putting out government message on

00:28:46.880 a government Twitter account, I just think it's a scary precedent to say, ban my enemies

00:28:54.660 from receiving government services.

00:28:56.980 Now, it's not the same as like welfare or a pension, but it's a government service nonetheless.

00:29:01.820 And if you can ban your enemies from this service, why not from that one?

00:29:05.440 Belmont Family says, the left has no shame.

00:29:10.600 Canada has turned into an international laughingstock where pastors are thrown in jail and the banks

00:29:15.020 can seize your accounts if you don't agree with the government.

00:29:18.200 When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice.

00:29:20.840 But when a wicked man rules, the people groan.

00:29:24.080 Proverbs 29.

00:29:24.880 You know, we will never know the extent of the damage done to our national reputation,

00:29:32.220 and in particular, the reputation of banks.

00:29:35.940 You know, if you look at banking architecture, older banks look really majestic, big pillars.

00:29:42.080 And part of the reason for that is they wanted to look solid and stable and reliable.

00:29:49.000 Like they would never be blown away by any political gust of wind.

00:29:55.080 Now, of course, banks are trying to look as friendly as possible, because I think people

00:29:58.920 know that banks are safe because of deposit insurance and because in our lifetimes, really,

00:30:05.020 I mean, no major bank has failed in Canada.

00:30:08.080 There was a minor bank in Alberta that did, I recall, the principal group.

00:30:17.300 My point is, the fact that banks look friendly instead of strong and stable spoke to the trust

00:30:26.180 that people had in their banks.

00:30:28.620 How much of that trust has been eroded?

00:30:32.560 Did people withdraw money from the banks?

00:30:34.240 Did they put them somewhere else?

00:30:35.420 Did they take them out of the country?

00:30:36.840 Maybe people don't care.

00:30:39.240 But do you trust your bank more or less now?

00:30:41.960 I trust mine less.

00:30:44.160 Perseus 09 says, I'm deeply confused about an obvious issue.

00:30:47.860 In order for a person to join any of the following organizations, you first need a clean criminal

00:30:52.000 record, army, police, government jobs. 0.92

00:30:54.900 This clown is a convicted criminal, yet he's being appointed to a high-level government agency 0.98

00:30:59.600 as it's head. 0.99

00:31:00.520 How is that possible?

00:31:01.640 Clearly, government rules were ignored in order to employ this criminal for a government

00:31:05.920 job.

00:31:06.560 It makes you wonder how many other convicted criminals are running the nation that we are

00:31:10.720 not aware of.

00:31:12.500 You're referring to Stephen Gilboa, who was convicted of a crime and is in the cabinet.

00:31:16.560 I know, at least it was in the past, that the RCMP would review cabinet appointments because,

00:31:23.680 of course, if you're part of the cabinet, you hear national secrets, including military

00:31:28.460 secrets, diplomatic secrets, commercial secrets.

00:31:30.900 So I'd be very curious to know what the RCMP said about Stephen Gilboa, a convicted criminal.

00:31:37.720 That's our show for the day.

00:31:39.720 Until tomorrow, on behalf of all of us here at Rubble World Headquarters, to you at home,

00:31:43.160 good night.

00:31:44.140 And keep fighting for freedom.

00:31:45.160 And let me leave you with a video from our reporter, Sid, at the Calgary United for Freedom

00:31:51.960 rally that was diverted by a counter-protest.

00:31:55.860 I'll leave you with that.

00:31:56.980 Good night.

00:31:57.320 I'm Sidney Fisard for Rubble News, and we're here in Calgary, Alberta, where there is a

00:32:01.740 freedom protest taking place behind me, an event that's been going on for over two years

00:32:05.780 now across the country.

00:32:07.020 They began at the start of the pandemic and continue on to this day.

00:32:10.020 And even though many mandates in Alberta have been lifted as of late, there are still plenty

00:32:15.180 of mandates and other restrictions impeding on the daily lives of everyday Canadians.

00:32:19.480 And especially, this can be noted in the life of Artur Palowski.

00:32:23.180 He remains behind bars to this day as the only man ever charged under the Critical Infrastructure

00:32:28.440 Defence Act for the crime of giving a sermon to truckers and coots who are blocking the 1.00

00:32:32.780 border in opposition to COVID restrictions.

00:32:35.300 He was charged like a pipeline bomber.

00:32:37.600 Some would argue he's being held as a political prisoner.

00:32:40.320 And not only that, but even though mandates have been lifted, it doesn't take away the

00:32:43.760 damage that's been done to these Canadians for the past two years.

00:32:46.640 So they're out here strong, fighting still to end what restrictions and measurements still

00:32:50.900 lie in place in hopes of bringing life back to normal.

00:32:53.700 Are we happy with most?

00:32:55.400 Are you guys okay with mostly free?

00:32:59.140 I don't think so.

00:33:01.420 So we are going to keep at this until it is all done, guys.

00:33:07.980 We can't leave them so much as an inch right now.

00:33:10.320 Look at British Columbia.

00:33:11.360 They still have all their mandates.

00:33:15.280 You drive three hours west, you're back in COVID country.

00:33:19.400 Two years now into the pandemic and a lot of people would see that there's mandates being

00:33:23.680 lifted, some restrictions being lifted.

00:33:25.100 But of course, if you ask anybody here, it seems like there is much more to be done.

00:33:28.660 What is that more to be done?

00:33:30.360 The biggest thing, Sidney, I think is for everybody to kind of get on the same page.

00:33:34.340 We've got Saskatchewan doing stuff.

00:33:36.280 We've got BC going the opposite way.

00:33:38.120 We've got Alberta lifting all the restrictions and mandates.

00:33:42.760 It may be a political ploy.

00:33:44.020 We're not sure.

00:33:45.140 One thing we're sure of is we're not getting a concerted answer, a unified answer for across

00:33:50.560 Canada as to where we should be at right now.

00:33:53.260 And I think the overwhelming evidence, somebody needs to take a look at that and stuff.

00:33:58.440 But our leadership from the top down, we don't have a leadership.

00:34:01.180 We don't have opposition.

00:34:02.740 Therefore, it's like everybody's going in a different direction and we're not getting

00:34:06.420 anywhere, really.

00:34:08.120 And economically, we're going down, too.

00:34:11.460 I think the old stuff is supposed to go back.

00:34:14.980 So back to the normal.

00:34:16.520 Don't call the new normal to this normal trend now.

00:34:20.560 I know most is done, but not everything is done.

00:34:24.040 So we have to still have lots of to do before everything is supposed to be dropped.

00:34:29.080 And this is my goal.

00:34:30.200 There is a lot of federal mandates that have not been dropped.

00:34:33.880 We can't just say, oh, we're here in Alberta.

00:34:35.800 Great.

00:34:36.360 We can go to a restaurant now.

00:34:37.940 I still can't travel out of this country.

00:34:40.400 You know, there's still so much going on.

00:34:43.160 We can't give up.

00:34:43.920 We've got to keep the fight going.

00:34:45.060 And Rebel News helps with that, by the way.

00:34:47.780 We have no opposition and we have no leadership.

00:34:50.140 So I'm praying and hoping that freedom-minded Canadians that were along the highway, all

00:34:57.920 along Canada and minus 20 for that truck convoy all the way to Ottawa.

00:35:02.460 There was people out in the middle of nowhere in their farms.

00:35:04.640 I hope all of us people here, all of us people get together and we come up with a unified,

00:35:10.320 like a Canada first policy.

00:35:12.480 Let's look at some common sense.

00:35:14.220 Let's look at all the issues that we need to look at.

00:35:17.520 Budget, immigration, freedom, possibly a look at the Charter of Rights.

00:35:22.780 Brian Peckford has got a case in the court right now with Maxine Bernier.

00:35:27.300 I think that's going to go a long ways to laying some groundwork for our freedom going forward.

00:35:31.840 Well, the next step, hopefully, I mean, Kenny's up for a review.

00:35:35.620 That's just provincial.

00:35:37.200 We've got a long way to go before election.

00:35:39.800 If I may say so, I would like to plug and hopefully get Tamara and a few of the other people 0.99

00:35:45.500 part out of jail.

00:35:47.720 That is very unfair.

00:35:49.120 It is unrealistic.

00:35:50.320 It's just unacceptable here in Canada.

00:35:52.620 We can't stop and let our guard down and just not be a part of that movement, send letters,

00:35:57.160 write to our MLAs, do what we can do to get this dropped all across coastal.

00:36:01.840 The coast, not just provincially, our, our prime minister needs to stand up and say,

00:36:07.300 no, we're not going to accept this.

00:36:08.700 You know, we should not be discriminated or forced to lose a job or not allowed to work

00:36:15.680 at a certain place because we don't have a vaccine or et cetera.

00:36:20.460 And the federal government needs to stand up that.

00:36:23.080 I mean, how many, it was not that long ago, they legalized marijuana.

00:36:26.560 You were shunned for smoking marijuana.

00:36:28.560 Now all of a sudden it's acceptable and it's legalized.

00:36:31.300 Well, why is it acceptable to discriminate against people who are not vaccinated?

00:36:35.780 How is that acceptable here in Canada?

00:36:38.040 A medical choice.

00:36:39.360 Why should I be forced to inject something into my body because someone else says so?

00:36:43.900 And we're already into this long enough to know that they don't work anyway.

00:36:47.140 And I mean, I don't want to go down that rabbit trail, but I mean, the data is out there.

00:36:52.360 This is unacceptable in children and schools and, you know, it's way more than just masks

00:36:57.380 that it started out with.

00:36:59.540 Last protest, I heard you advocating for Pastor Arthur Poloski.

00:37:02.980 In his current situation, he's still behind bars.

00:37:05.100 What do you make of that?

00:37:05.800 And why do you think they're keeping him in that situation?

00:37:08.400 Well, he's very outspoken.

00:37:10.140 I mean, the number one thing he's done is he's from, if everyone kind of pretty well

00:37:15.180 knows that watches this, knows who he is.

00:37:16.840 I mean, he's from Poland and they went through this.

00:37:19.340 He's, you know, behind a lot of this, you know, the different organizations, not so much

00:37:24.040 behind him, but he talks truth and he gives us a spiritual message and they don't want

00:37:30.280 that out there.

00:37:31.000 And, you know, basically we know he's a political prisoner for the Alberta government.

00:37:35.680 And, you know what, when we're talking about that, they have no real reason to hold him.

00:37:40.600 They're holding him, you know, and I guess everyone knows this, I'm not sure of the exact

00:37:44.020 charges because there's many different charges, you know, about creating public mischief over

00:37:49.560 $5,000 or just mischief.

00:37:51.600 Well, number one, he didn't organize that rally.

00:37:53.940 He was there as a pastor, a man from God to give them hope, the people that came there.

00:37:59.000 So, you know, by doing that, he was in a place and, you know, they can just make up

00:38:03.600 lies and that's what they do now.

00:38:04.920 They're holding him there.

00:38:06.040 He was supposed to get his bail hearing on the 11th and now we found out a couple nights

00:38:10.240 ago, he's not going to get it on the 11th.

00:38:12.440 He's just on the docket, which means they can hold him there until whenever the judge

00:38:15.940 decides they want to hear the case.

00:38:18.180 They're also keeping the evidence from his two attorneys, you know, to stall it even more.

00:38:24.120 So, you know what, he's holding strong.

00:38:27.760 He talked to us today in church via a telephone call.

00:38:31.280 It was amazing.

00:38:31.940 He has strength and we support him and we are not going to back down.

00:38:36.520 We are going to be there every night for him.

00:38:38.440 We're going to be there at four o'clock tonight and we're there seven o'clock every night.

00:38:42.400 Come join us, Voice of Freedom.

00:38:43.800 We're reaching many other inmates.

00:38:45.840 They're really, they're starting to realize who God is and how corrupt the system really

00:38:49.940 is.

00:38:50.320 So really, that's what we're doing.

00:38:51.740 We're going to keep holding the line for freedom and we're going to support our pastor

00:38:55.380 because he is a man of God.

00:38:56.700 David was arrested yesterday too.

00:38:59.100 Like he, it was a hit job.

00:39:00.360 Like he spoke at our church today and he said it was a hit job.

00:39:03.540 They arrested him.

00:39:04.520 It was for the same charge, breach of bail conditions.

00:39:07.340 And we actually had Pastor Art phone from the jail today in our church and it was quite

00:39:12.520 enlightening.

00:39:13.080 He said he's doing well.

00:39:14.560 He realizes that this is a hit job.

00:39:17.100 Most of the stuff he's being charged with should be looked at in court.

00:39:20.460 And at the very least, he should be released so he can prepare a proper hearing.

00:39:24.980 And people like Art Pawlowski and Tamara Lynch, like why are they being held in jail when criminals

00:39:31.880 are let out on bail all the time?

00:39:34.020 Pedophiles and murderists and manslaughter charges and they're all released.

00:39:38.800 And these guys are charged with mischief and they're held in jail and people aren't even

00:39:42.180 talking about that.

00:39:43.560 I'm just, I'm, I'm appalled by that.

00:39:45.260 A pastor, a pastor is being held in a prison.

00:39:48.140 And I've been told he's in, in solitary confinement here in Canada, like this is unacceptable.

00:39:54.820 And then everybody's bringing up the Ukraine and Russia thing.

00:39:58.140 Well, I support them 110%, but what can I do?

00:40:02.460 I can't fly to Ukraine.

00:40:04.220 I can't go there.

00:40:05.460 I'm not going to go pick up guns and fight their fight.

00:40:08.120 It's been going on for a long time.

00:40:09.860 Yes, it's wrong.

00:40:10.840 But the best thing that I can do right here in this Alberta here, where I stand, is to

00:40:16.520 stand for freedom.

00:40:17.520 And that's across the globe, no matter if, how can I better represent Ukraine, in my

00:40:23.300 opinion, than to come to an event that supports freedom so that we don't end up in a tyrant,

00:40:30.160 you know, regime run country.

00:40:33.060 And I'm sure those guys would want us to stand up and support freedom.

00:40:38.060 I don't think they're mad that we're out here, like some people say, whining about our freedoms

00:40:42.900 because we live in a free country.

00:40:44.960 Guys, block the sidewalks.

00:40:50.740 Block the road.

00:40:51.880 You make them uncomfortable.

00:40:53.600 Take the streets back.

00:40:56.140 Guys, go.

00:40:57.060 Keep going.

00:40:57.600 Hey guys, so a recent development.

00:41:05.960 This happened last week as well as this week, where a group of counter protesters have been

00:41:11.320 on scene.

00:41:12.100 And it seems last time they were just standing as the protesters walked by.

00:41:16.220 This time, there is the police line.

00:41:18.800 One side, there's the freedom rally protesters.

00:41:21.320 And the other side, there's the counter protesters.

00:41:24.460 I've tried to ask a few of them for comment, but like last week, they refused to give.

00:41:28.740 Hey guys, so an interesting development occurred while these guys started their march.

00:41:56.300 And that was on their way through the city, a counter protest group had blocked off the road.

00:42:02.520 One of the roads that these guys would frequently travel down.

00:42:04.920 And it's their regular route.

00:42:06.460 So it does seem like the counter protesters forced the protesters' hands in that they had to relocate

00:42:12.160 their route through the city.

00:42:13.780 But I don't know what this will mean for next week.

00:42:15.360 But it seems like these counter protests, it happened last week.

00:42:18.000 It happened this week.

00:42:18.920 I guess we'll find out if there's going to be another one next week.

00:42:21.000 We'll be sure to keep you up to date as things progress through the weeks.

00:42:23.480 And of course, you heard these guys' message, their concerns about Pastor Art Toplowski,

00:42:27.300 as well as their concerns with the fact that though some mandates have lifted,

00:42:30.720 this is sure to come back around in their opinion.

00:42:32.900 So we're going to keep tabs and see how this progresses.

00:42:35.980 I want to thank you guys for tuning in.

00:42:37.480 For Rebel News, I'm Sidney Bizarre.

00:42:38.920 We'll be right back.

00:42:40.600 We'll be right back.
