Rebel News Podcast - EZRA LEVANT ｜ The Best of Rebel News Campaign 2025 Edition

00:00:00.160 Tonight, the election hits its halfway point.

00:00:03.280 What's Rebel News up to?

00:00:04.760 I'll show you the best of our work so far.

00:00:07.320 It's April 14th, and this is The Ezra LeVant Show.

00:00:10.060 You're fighting for freedom!

00:00:12.960 Shame on you, you censorious bug! 0.88

00:00:24.560 Oh, hi, everybody. 0.98

00:00:25.900 I'm running around like crazy.

00:00:27.340 On Friday, I live-tweeted Tommy Robinson's court case from London, England.

00:00:33.100 This week, we have big things afoot.

00:00:35.180 I don't want to give it all away, but let me say this.

00:00:37.780 Montreal, Wednesday, Thursday, the leaders' debates, we're in.

00:00:42.680 There's actually a really big story behind that.

00:00:45.080 Of course, we're running all across the country covering the election full tilt.

00:00:49.300 I'll have lots more on the elections debate for you tomorrow.

00:00:53.100 It's actually incredible news.

00:00:54.720 I think it's perhaps the greatest legal victory that Rebel News has had so far.

00:00:59.460 But I'm getting ahead of myself.

00:01:01.200 For today, enjoy the best of Rebel News in this general election.

00:01:06.260 It's now or never.

00:01:07.280 You can't sit the fence in this fight.

00:01:09.780 That's it.

00:01:10.540 Time to pick a side.

00:01:12.100 And I'm here.

00:01:13.180 I've picked my side.

00:01:14.200 This radical wave of crime is not happening by accident.

00:01:20.940 These radical decisions are not being simply handed out by judges.

00:01:25.500 They are being imposed by catch-and-release laws of the Liberal government.

00:01:29.880 I believe the people out here like this, it feels like we're fighting the good fight still.

00:01:34.500 We're not out of it yet.

00:01:35.340 These past 10 years of this Liberal government has been disastrous for this country.

00:01:39.640 I mean, I remember when Trudeau first took power, when he first won the election.

00:01:44.000 I was 15 years old.

00:01:45.320 We just spoke with some of the party representatives.

00:01:48.260 And they do not particularly like the optics of this van driving around the parking lot.

00:01:54.760 So we just kindly ask on behalf of the party that you just refrain from driving around the van.

00:02:06.440 There's the truck.

00:02:09.060 There's the truck.

00:02:10.100 People love the truck.

00:02:19.600 That's great.

00:02:20.700 And when I become Prime Minister, the era of Liberals telling the West to pay up and shut up will be over forever.

00:02:46.640 When I was growing up, I was Liberal NDP.

00:02:50.520 And as I got older, I realized that it matters who pays for things.

00:02:55.060 Hi!

00:02:57.500 I think there are a lot of reluctant separatists.

00:03:00.500 People who really, they love Canada.

00:03:02.580 They love this country.

00:03:03.540 They just don't feel appreciated by it.

00:03:06.180 I'm a Canadian, but I want my daughters to have a future.

00:03:10.720 I barely bought a home.

00:03:12.500 They won't.

00:03:13.020 Oh, Canada, we stand on guard for thee.

00:03:24.440 So I want to tell the whole world, if they're watching this, buy Alberta Energy, because we have the best.

00:03:31.040 Last question.

00:03:32.060 Thank you for that wonderful commercial for the oil and gas industry.

00:03:35.960 I think I heard you call my name, sir.

00:03:38.940 Guys, just drop it and get out of here.

00:03:41.160 You're not welcome.

00:03:42.280 So take a hike.

00:03:43.420 There's a sign that says hate has no home here.

00:03:45.820 I'm not hate.

00:03:46.600 I just say you guys are fake news.

00:03:48.160 Time to move on.

00:03:49.000 Okay, then.

00:03:49.760 But I asked you what makes us fake, and you didn't give us an example.

00:03:52.280 I don't have to get into the long history of rebel news and Ezra Levent and your fake news.

00:03:56.780 I've got plenty of time.

00:03:58.200 You guys are well aware of it.

00:03:59.820 Well, he could have called an issue as well.

00:04:02.000 The entire time.

00:04:02.920 He could have triggered an election.

00:04:03.780 Like, so honestly, it's just like, well, you didn't do anything either. 0.99

00:04:08.640 Shut up. 0.99

00:04:09.600 Like, what's the point? 0.99

00:04:10.920 He was getting that nice $2 million pension.

00:04:13.280 Yeah, I heard.

00:04:15.280 Mr. Tseng, do you regret propping up the Trudeau Liberals, given the polling numbers?

00:04:21.700 Mr. Poliev is passionate about our country.

00:04:24.540 He's passionate about the people.

00:04:25.940 The turnouts that have been happening?

00:04:27.680 The polls, I don't believe.

00:04:28.720 I thought I'd see a crowd, but nothing like this.

00:04:31.420 Let's go!

00:04:32.200 Canada first for a change.

00:04:34.120 Let's bring it home! 0.94

00:04:36.160 That's why we're all here, showing our support and definitely want to bring it home.

00:04:40.140 You can't trust anything he says right now, and that's why I'm not voting for him.

00:04:43.420 What do you guys think of Mark Carney?

00:04:47.220 Guy lives in the States.

00:04:48.760 He wants to sell Canada out.

00:04:50.020 Honestly, if this stays red, I don't know if I can stay here any longer.

00:04:52.580 I'm here to vote for Pierre.

00:04:54.300 The only one that's going to change Canada.

00:04:56.080 It's going to be a blowout.

00:04:56.860 I have a hard time believing the polls.

00:04:58.520 People don't realize how historic this is right now.

00:05:01.120 I think the Glenn Maxwell photo is probably my favorite.

00:05:03.480 He's there with Ghislaine Maxwell!

00:05:05.140 So he was in Hamilton tonight?

00:05:06.480 Yes.

00:05:07.220 60 people, eh?

00:05:08.080 Yes.

00:05:08.320 I think there was about 3,500 at least here tonight.

00:05:11.240 I think you know that a liberal is lying when he opens his mouth.

00:05:14.080 We have to be careful.

00:05:15.300 We cannot let the liberals distract us.

00:05:17.740 Three, four thousand people in there.

00:05:19.120 Really?

00:05:19.660 It's insane.

00:05:20.600 Your votes matters.

00:05:22.240 Your votes count.

00:05:23.520 We can see the increased drug abuser, increased alcoholic, increased homeless, increased suicide,

00:05:29.860 increased teenage drug abuser.

00:05:31.620 And what people actually think of and focus on, so is Trump.

00:05:36.460 I love it.

00:05:37.300 He's a master troller.

00:05:39.220 All the liberals in Canada that hate Trump now are going to be turned off by Carney because Trump likes him.

00:05:46.680 Like I said, I'm much more of a Pierre fan, so freedom is more of a concern for me than having a owe nothing and be happy.

00:05:55.320 That's all lies.

00:05:56.780 What is lies on this?

00:05:58.180 That he was with Epstein and Maxwell.

00:06:01.620 But you have a picture of them together.

00:06:04.040 It's not him.

00:06:04.980 You're saying to me he doesn't like him at all.

00:06:07.640 No, the face is shorter.

00:06:09.300 The chin is longer.

00:06:10.840 No.

00:06:11.140 What happened in the last 10 years, when I came here, oh, about over 40 years ago, it was so safe.

00:06:17.720 But in the last 10 years, things are getting much worse.

00:06:21.460 Politicians always, they have their own agenda.

00:06:23.320 Well, sir, he says he's a globalist and an elitist, and that's what Canada needs right now.

00:06:27.840 Do you agree with that?

00:06:28.720 Yes.

00:06:28.900 People will charge me as being elitist, or it happens to be exactly what we need.

00:06:34.580 I am a proud liberal because we are fighting for the poor.

00:06:37.720 Oh, really?

00:06:38.620 Yes.

00:06:39.620 Look, he's the only one who can confront Trump.

00:06:42.720 Okay.

00:06:43.120 Yes.

00:06:43.300 That's the party that you're supporting.

00:06:45.260 You're supporting a man.

00:06:46.260 We're in trouble with you.

00:06:47.580 You're supporting a man.

00:06:48.860 Please.

00:06:49.600 Please.

00:06:50.480 Knock it off.

00:06:51.720 Ma'am, why did you punch that lady? 1.00

00:06:53.280 And it looks like one of the liberal supporters didn't like you. 0.63

00:06:56.520 And all of a sudden, she just came in and wham me right in the mouth. 1.00

00:06:59.960 Rebel News, where are you from?

00:07:01.500 We're based here in Toronto.

00:07:03.560 Are you?

00:07:04.120 Okay, then.

00:07:05.260 Do you get most of your news, I'm guessing, from the CBC?

00:07:07.840 I don't think I like talking to someone from Rebel News.

00:07:11.000 The rest of Canada has to learn from Quebec's determination and its courage to protect its

00:07:18.360 way of life, culture, and identity.

00:07:20.460 It's completely wrong.

00:07:29.120 I mean, it doesn't mean that there's no confidence.

00:07:32.220 It shows that the only debate you want to do is at CBC and Radio-Canada.

00:07:36.560 I think it's a non-respect for the French people from Quebec.

00:07:39.800 For the French.

00:07:40.420 Yeah, it's completely Quebecois.

00:07:41.700 I think it's a non-respect.

00:07:43.380 I now realize that the leader of the Greens were not invited.

00:07:46.720 There are two leaders of the Greens.

00:07:48.060 They refuse to debate in French.

00:07:51.100 They're hiding.

00:07:53.940 First, I'm very happy about what Mr. Poilievre said last night.

00:07:58.000 He said that he's ready to transfer us a selection of temporary workers, the PMI program.

00:08:07.660 It's a time when we need a change.

00:08:09.880 This election's about freedoms for across this country.

00:08:13.100 This election is crucial.

00:08:14.340 I think that New Brunswickers are ready to put Canada first.

00:08:22.260 What do you think?

00:08:24.900 How is Pierre Poiliev a fascist exactly? 1.00

00:08:28.440 Figure that s*** out, mother f***er. 1.00

00:08:30.140 Every year, debt. 0.99

00:08:31.360 Debt, debt, debt, debt, debt, debt.

00:08:33.480 They don't care about the little guy anywhere in the world.

00:08:35.980 If we can just get him in power, I think he'll be true to his word.

00:08:39.400 I didn't really follow the elbows up.

00:08:41.740 Can you explain?

00:08:42.600 Uh, not really. 0.99

00:08:44.720 Uh, oh, I think he's a lifelong crook and a lifelong con artist. 1.00

00:08:49.400 Um, he's been a thief and a crook his entire life. 1.00

00:08:53.940 He's a racist and a rapist and everything bad. 1.00

00:08:57.400 So, dictatorships are for freedom of speech? 1.00

00:09:00.120 Yes.

00:09:00.620 No, they're not for...

00:09:02.620 Oh.

00:09:03.120 Usually they are not for...

00:09:04.620 Well, dictators are not.

00:09:05.620 But Elon Musk is actually buying Twitter to protect the freedom of speech.

00:09:10.080 Do you think that is actually an image of dictatorship?

00:09:13.620 Uh, well...

00:09:14.620 They're firing too many people.

00:09:16.620 They still have control.

00:09:17.620 They still have control.

00:09:18.620 Where we want in this country, we know we have health care.

00:09:21.300 In the States, it's just usually dependent on your job.

00:09:24.300 So if your job doesn't want to give you health care, you probably don't have it.

00:09:28.300 Kitchener, Waterloo, who's going to vote for a change?

00:09:33.300 People that are voting Conservative, they've honestly just been in Canada for much longer.

00:09:39.140 Okay, then.

00:09:40.140 Um, and so they've seen, you know, standards of living change, uh, over the last 10 years

00:09:45.140 and they've seen the standards of living dropping so much.

00:09:47.600 I remember how Canada was, uh, when I was growing up and it's just, it's changed so much.

00:09:52.060 Yeah.

00:09:52.560 And I never actually got a chance to experience it before, uh, last 10 years.

00:09:57.080 People will charge me as being elitist or, uh, you know, globalist, uh, to use that, uh,

00:10:02.900 term, which is, um, well, that's exactly, you know, it happens to be exactly what we, uh, what we need.

00:10:07.880 We don't need any of that.

00:10:09.500 We need down-to-earth politics.

00:10:11.000 I mean...

00:10:11.500 If this doesn't work, we're moving to Alberta.

00:10:13.200 We have just walked for over three miles to get here.

00:10:16.120 Three miles?

00:10:17.120 Wow.

00:10:18.120 So, I'm telling you, there's something going on here tonight.

00:10:21.120 April 28th night, so no more polls, and Pierre is the next prime minister with supermajority.

00:10:27.800 We are going to celebrate it.

00:10:29.080 Are you Mark Carney supporters?

00:10:30.800 Get away. 0.73

00:10:31.800 Hey.

00:10:32.800 Get away from me.

00:10:33.800 What are you so angry about?

00:10:35.800 Why is he so angry?

00:10:38.520 I'm going to call you there and interview him.

00:10:40.560 Oh, I did earlier today, sir, actually.

00:10:43.280 Why are you so angry?

00:10:44.480 Because you're in our way.

00:10:46.200 Oh, wow.

00:10:47.200 It's not moving.

00:10:48.200 You're better off today than you were before.

00:10:50.200 Give me a break.

00:10:51.200 Just trying to get us to say something that would agree with your point of view.

00:10:54.200 I can't control what you're saying, sir.

00:10:55.200 I think a lot of people are pretty frustrated with this gotcha news, you know?

00:10:58.200 You're trying to get a soundbite for the far right, I mean, come on.

00:11:00.400 You know what you're doing.

00:11:01.400 A soundbite for the far right?

00:11:02.400 What does that mean, sir?

00:11:03.400 And Premier Daniel Smith, Mark Carney says the province of Alberta will be the heart of the solutions for ushering in a new energy era, but it still stands by his so-called no more pipeline bill, C-69.

00:11:23.120 What's your message for the liberal leader?

00:11:26.320 Well, you can't ride two horses at months.

00:11:29.360 You've got to decide.

00:11:30.200 Are you going to repeal the policies that have killed investment in Alberta so that we can be that energy superpower, or are you not?

00:11:39.740 And so we've yet to see the answer to that question.

00:11:43.000 But I think there's no question that the Energy East pipeline got cancelled because a billion dollars into the regulatory process and multiple years, the company couldn't see a pathway to getting an approval.

00:11:54.540 That's a problem.

00:11:55.200 So we need to be able to have a clear fermenting process to get approvals.

00:11:59.740 And we can't have arbitrary policies like unachievable emissions caps.

00:12:03.900 That's the real problem.

00:12:05.120 And it's not just us saying it.

00:12:06.220 Conference Board of Canada and various other consultancies have looked at what the stringent emissions cap would do, and it's shutting in oil production by 2 million barrels by 2030.

00:12:17.140 So it's one thing to say that you want to build oil and gas infrastructure, but you have to have the production.

00:12:24.780 You won't have the production if you don't have the right policies.

00:12:27.280 So I'll wait and see which horse the next prime minister is going to ride.

00:12:34.360 But you have to have policies in place that will bring investment back and the policies that the current global government have in place that chase it away.

00:12:43.400 I also questioned her about her ongoing discussions with Quebec's premier regarding energy development.

00:12:51.040 Specifically, I asked whether she had any concerns about the long-term viability of such a partnership, particularly if Mark Carney becomes prime minister and maintain Bill C-69,

00:13:07.640 and if Quebec's party, Quebecois, known for its anti-pipeline stance, wins the 2026 provincial election.

00:13:18.460 We want to work with partners that want to work with us.

00:13:21.240 And there's lots of partners.

00:13:23.240 There's lots of opportunities.

00:13:24.520 We could build to the West Coast.

00:13:25.700 We could build to the North.

00:13:26.560 We could build to Churchill.

00:13:27.640 We could build from Ontario up to Grace Bay.

00:13:30.260 And we can support others in doing the same.

00:13:34.680 So I'll do my best to try to put out a hand of friendship and say, hey, how can they help each other?

00:13:42.140 But I have to obviously deal with the individuals who were in the office at the time.

00:13:47.020 So I don't know what's going to happen in 18 months in Quebec.

00:13:50.440 But we're going to keep on working to build pipelines Northeast and West.

00:13:54.600 That's a tough...

00:13:56.500 Thank you.

00:14:00.560 Thank you, Diana.

00:14:01.720 I'm aware.

00:14:04.100 This is why we have an arms embargo.

00:14:06.180 You're not a human. 0.97

00:14:08.600 You're a vampire like them. 1.00

00:14:11.100 Shut up. 1.00

00:14:12.680 Shut up. 1.00

00:14:13.700 You're a genocide. 1.00

00:14:15.180 You're a genocide. 0.99

00:14:16.500 You're a genocide. 0.99

00:14:17.280 Don't go with the pressure.

00:14:19.480 You're done with occupation.

00:14:22.000 Carney, Carney, Carney, Carney, Carney, Carney, Carney, Carney, Carney, Carney, Carney, Carney, Carney, Carney, Carney.

00:14:26.680 Why are you voting for Mark Carney?

00:14:28.960 Why not?

00:14:29.540 You know, we need more adults to lead this country.

00:14:33.600 Does that discount the liberal leadership?

00:14:35.420 Because right now we do have a liberal government.

00:14:37.100 Uh...

00:14:37.860 Mark Carney, why should Canadians trust that you don't have any financial conflicts?

00:14:41.200 Do you think that there's anything fishy about his finances?

00:14:44.820 Maybe that is a priority for somebody else.

00:14:47.320 But for us, that is not a priority.

00:14:49.240 Pre-fabricated and modular housing are the future.

00:14:52.560 And now we're going to follow that model and it's going to work.

00:14:55.060 It's going to work for Alberta.

00:14:56.040 It's going to put everyone to work.

00:14:57.760 And, and, and, Carney has no idea.

00:14:59.800 I think if you get somebody that's coming from, that isn't so popular in Alberta, it's actually a good thing. 1.00

00:15:05.300 Going to a central banker for political advice is never a good idea.

00:15:08.780 Come on.

00:15:09.200 What is the goal if you have the best ideas for this country and you keep them for yourself?

00:15:17.380 You know, I want you to be part of the change.

00:15:21.380 That is a revolution that we are doing today.

00:15:24.500 A real revolution.

00:15:26.980 And we need everybody to do that revolution together.

00:15:30.700 Well, folks, I'm with Maxine Bernier.

00:15:32.820 He is, of course, the leader of the People's Party of Canada.

00:15:35.920 And first of all, Maxine, thank you so much for your time.

00:15:39.100 I know you're going to make a presentation here at the golf course, but so much to talk about.

00:15:44.720 But let's talk about the thing that is on everyone's mind.

00:15:48.080 I can't go anywhere without anybody asking me this.

00:15:51.800 A few months ago, the polls, if you believe them, indicated that the Pierre Pauly of Conservatives were in landslide territory.

00:16:00.840 Now, those same polls say it's a horse race and a photo finish at that.

00:16:07.280 What's your take on that?

00:16:08.920 And do you think that these polls are accurate?

00:16:12.000 No, I don't.

00:16:12.660 You know, I don't.

00:16:13.520 I don't trust these polls.

00:16:15.440 And actually, when they're doing polling, they don't put the People's Party there.

00:16:19.220 So I'm traveling like you across the country, meeting people.

00:16:23.580 And I can tell you, we, the People's Party, have more support than what they are telling Canadians about us.

00:16:30.160 Do you believe the polls right now?

00:16:33.300 No, absolutely not.

00:16:35.140 And in fact, if you look at Rumble's poll, Chris Padlowski, who's the CEO of Rumble, did a poll.

00:16:40.440 Who would be the best leader for Canada?

00:16:42.160 And Maxine Bernier was the clear winner.

00:16:44.440 All politicians agree.

00:16:46.540 All business people agree.

00:16:47.800 People will, most people agree, if the economy doesn't work, nothing else will work.

00:16:54.640 If the economy doesn't work, you cannot feed the hungry.

00:16:58.640 You cannot look after the most fragile people, the elderly, the sick, and the handicapped. 1.00

00:17:04.520 But we do not talk.

00:17:06.360 What drives the economy is the most important subject.

00:17:11.040 We don't talk about it.

00:17:12.280 There's reasons why.

00:17:13.800 Because the world is still ruled by the golden rule.

00:17:18.380 The people which have the gold or the monies, you don't see them anymore, like the kings, you know, hundreds of years ago.

00:17:27.560 So you don't see the people which have, they might live in Hawaii, they might live in Beverly Hills, they might live in Monaco.

00:17:35.340 But they don't want to share the profits with the employees.

00:17:39.620 Now, let me, isn't it the most logical reason?

00:17:45.000 So I'm not, I'm not teaching, I'm not preaching, let's take away from the rich.

00:17:49.060 I'm saying we must let the employers participate.

00:17:53.400 When we bake the economic pie, when they participate, everybody gets a bigger slice.

00:17:59.180 So that is really the reason, right?

00:18:02.140 Our living standards gone down over and over and over, right?

00:18:05.440 So there were liberals, liberals on the, on the, on the, on the, on the, on the, on the managing, or the majority in parliament, or conservatives, right?

00:18:13.380 I mean, what we have is, we have an environment where, where the debt's gone up, right?

00:18:21.860 And where the bureaucracy's gone up, and where the imports are high, right?

00:18:26.440 That means a perfect formula, like, like a freight train going down the hill without, without a, without a break.

00:18:41.520 Well, hi everybody, Ezra Levant here.

00:18:43.240 I'm outside a convention center in Brampton, Ontario.

00:18:47.040 That's a city about half an hour away from Toronto proper.

00:18:50.420 It's just after 4 p.m.

00:18:51.900 The rally here is not expected for another two hours, but you can see hundreds of people are already lined up.

00:18:58.840 They want to make sure they get in.

00:19:00.420 In recent days, Pierre Polyev's events have been standing room only and overflow crowds,

00:19:05.920 including an incredible rally in Edmonton, Alberta a couple days ago that had about, I don't know,

00:19:11.260 10,000, 12,000 people in attendance.

00:19:14.220 Some people said as many as 15,000 people.

00:19:17.020 The theme for today's event is crime, and fighting against crime.

00:19:21.040 There's been a crime wave across Canada in recent years.

00:19:23.920 It's been particularly bad in Toronto and cities like Brampton.

00:19:27.560 Cars are stolen regularly, put on ships, sold overseas, home invasion robberies.

00:19:34.180 You see brazen daylight robberies of jewelry stores in malls almost on a daily basis.

00:19:42.160 There's really a lawlessness, and it happens.

00:19:45.340 You can't put it all on Justin Trudeau.

00:19:47.040 I think a lot of it's on him because the criminal code has been weakened.

00:19:50.700 Some of it's on the provinces and local police as well.

00:19:54.200 Canada is in the worst crime wave of our history, and I don't know if you remember,

00:19:59.040 a few months ago the City of Toronto Police gave advice to people to leave their key fobs near their front door

00:20:08.040 so when the home invasion gangs burst in, they don't have to ransack your whole house to find your keys.

00:20:14.340 They're right there. The police were literally giving advice to homeowners to cooperate.

00:20:20.580 To prevent the possibility of being attacked in your home, leave your fobs at your front door

00:20:25.740 because they're breaking into your home to steal your car.

00:20:28.600 They don't want anything else.

00:20:29.840 A lot of them that they're arresting have guns on them, and they're not toy guns.

00:20:33.520 They're real guns. They're loaded.

00:20:35.320 With their home invaders, absolutely shocking.

00:20:38.140 That's how it is in the greater Toronto area and in many other cities in Canada.

00:20:42.260 So that's going to be one of the themes today.

00:20:44.340 I'm very excited to say our truck is on the scene too.

00:20:49.300 Right now it's circling in the mall area outside the Convention Centre.

00:20:55.580 Whenever it drives through this little welcome area, people cheer for the truck.

00:20:59.800 They love to see the For Canada truck.

00:21:03.460 If you recall, we set up a third-party campaign group in this election to be compliant with election laws.

00:21:08.840 If you love that truck, don't be shy.

00:21:11.160 Go to forcanada.ca.

00:21:13.440 That's forcanada.ca.

00:21:15.800 Help us keep that truck on the road.

00:21:17.380 We want that truck going every single day during the campaign.

00:21:21.120 We've also got radio ads going, tons of online ads.

00:21:24.880 I'm really excited about what we're doing, and we're doing it in a way to be compliant

00:21:28.500 because, of course, Elections Canada is extremely partisan.

00:21:32.320 You might recall a few years ago they actually prosecuted me for writing a book critical of Justin Trudeau.

00:21:37.920 Anyways, that's my little scene setter.

00:21:40.100 We'll be here all evening, including covering the speech itself.

00:21:43.280 But I just wanted to tell you, two hours before showtime, there's already a lineup around the block.

00:21:49.960 We're keeping them entertained with the truck, though.

00:21:52.160 Go to forcanada.ca to help.

00:21:54.380 I'm Andrew.

00:21:55.440 Good to meet you.

00:21:57.320 All the time.

00:21:58.180 Oh, right on.

00:21:58.880 Thank you.

00:21:59.080 Nice to have you out.

00:22:05.080 There's the truck.

00:22:07.700 There's the truck.

00:22:08.500 People love the truck.

00:22:13.340 Look at that truck, shining like a diamond.

00:22:16.220 That truck's shining like a diamond.

00:22:18.060 Well, you're almost at the front of the line.

00:22:20.220 What time did you get here today?

00:22:22.080 We were here around 2.30.

00:22:23.900 2.30?

00:22:25.300 Yeah.

00:22:25.720 Well, the event doesn't officially start until 6.

00:22:28.740 I know.

00:22:29.500 We wanted to see how everybody was showing up and to show the sport.

00:22:34.280 Are you from Brampton, or did you come in from another town?

00:22:36.760 No, I'm coming from the Kawartha Lakes.

00:22:38.640 Oh, wow.

00:22:39.080 That's a bit of a drive.

00:22:39.920 It is.

00:22:40.560 It is a bit of a drive, but trying to get the best for our country now, right?

00:22:45.300 That's great.

00:22:45.860 And what makes you interested in this event?

00:22:49.900 Is it an issue in particular, or just what motivates you politically?

00:22:56.680 Well, I am a vaccine injured, and it really was, like, pushed by my work, and I really

00:23:05.060 suffered lots of health problems since then.

00:23:08.500 I'm still battling with them.

00:23:09.900 So, in the past couple of years, I've been in the hospital, like, already two surgeries.

00:23:15.060 I'm so sorry to hear that.

00:23:16.260 Yeah.

00:23:16.780 So, we're trying to find a way that our country comes back clear and with people that really

00:23:23.180 cares about us, right?

00:23:24.240 Like, we need to fight for everybody, for our future as well, our kids as well.

00:23:28.500 Why do you make the journey in the day?

00:23:30.140 Well, because we can't have Kearney.

00:23:31.740 We have to have Pierre.

00:23:33.460 Plain and simple.

00:23:34.560 If he doesn't win, the country's done.

00:23:36.700 What are you worried about?

00:23:38.020 Everything.

00:23:39.200 Cost of living, cost of, he can't afford a house.

00:23:42.340 If Kearney wins, I'm probably going to look to move south or even Europe, anywhere else.

00:23:46.540 I mean, we can't afford, most of the people I know my age, they're going to be looking

00:23:49.800 to move elsewhere.

00:23:50.300 Are you a conservative by nature, or are you just here to kick the tires?

00:23:54.620 Conservative by nature, yeah.

00:23:55.880 What do you like about him?

00:23:58.500 I cannot, he's a very exciting person, I'll be honest.

00:24:01.260 That's why I like, because a lot of times, a lot of the politicians are not, they can't

00:24:06.060 get the people, if you know what I mean.

00:24:08.180 It's very difficult for someone, because a lot of them, like, a lot of people, they'll

00:24:12.600 focus on, you know, they'll see the things that you have to be smart to understand, which

00:24:17.260 a lot of people, well, they don't, they think that.

00:24:20.660 Getting things, the government, giving them stuff for free and stuff like that is a good

00:24:24.000 thing, well, it's not really, yeah.

00:24:26.560 Can I ask how old you are?

00:24:28.060 19.

00:24:29.060 19.

00:24:29.620 Well, so you were old enough to vote this time, but maybe not last time.

00:24:32.920 Not last time, not in 2021, no.

00:24:34.640 And are you in Brampton itself?

00:24:36.120 Yes.

00:24:37.080 Sean, you're here with the Sikh community.

00:24:39.640 Tell me a little bit about that in Brampton, because that's a large community in Brampton.

00:24:43.240 Yep.

00:24:43.520 The Sikh community is a large community in Brampton, Ontario, and all of Canada.

00:24:47.600 We're far and wide.

00:24:49.140 A lot of Sikh, established families now, for many years, have lived here long-term.

00:24:54.400 And honestly, the largest portion of them are more conservative-leaning, right?

00:24:58.840 And there's a bunch of reasons for that, but I think the main reason is economic, right?

00:25:03.360 Because a lot of us are in small business, a lot of us work very hard in factory jobs,

00:25:07.760 a lot of us work at different businesses, and we want to empower those people, right?

00:25:11.700 We want to empower our families, too.

00:25:13.280 So that's why there's all that support.

00:25:15.580 It's still an hour and a half till showtime.

00:25:17.940 They're handing out free samosas.

00:25:20.600 Naturally, I had one.

00:25:22.860 Pretty delish.

00:25:24.840 Some of these folks have been waiting, they tell me, since 2.30 in the afternoon.

00:25:28.860 The doors don't open till 6.

00:25:30.240 I'm trying to get a read on how large the venue is.

00:25:35.180 I'm told it holds thousands.

00:25:36.920 Now, that's a pretty round number.

00:25:38.820 I'll tell you if I get more details.

00:25:41.060 Some folks know what they're doing.

00:25:42.220 They brought the folding chairs.

00:25:43.480 They're ready.

00:25:44.960 They've waited in line before they want to get the best seats.

00:25:50.000 Some folks came in from far away.

00:25:52.120 Some folks drove for hours.

00:25:54.100 Others are here in Brampton.

00:25:56.400 And there's the free samosas hander-outer, who's now my best friend.

00:26:01.120 And the Rebel truck continues to circulate.

00:26:06.800 People here say they enjoy it.

00:26:08.300 One fellow chipped in 20 bucks when he saw it, which was nice.

00:26:11.980 I want to go around the corner and see how many people are here.

00:26:15.640 Because, like I say, it's not even 445.

00:26:18.740 I can see some other citizen journalists.

00:26:23.200 That's an interesting change.

00:26:24.520 You know, we've been doing Rebel News for 10 years now.

00:26:26.680 When we started, we were pretty much the only folks doing citizen journalism.

00:26:30.260 Now, at every single event, I see other people, and I love it.

00:26:33.800 Brampton is a part of the greater Toronto area.

00:26:36.800 Just enormous growth and a very multicultural community.

00:26:39.980 You can see in the names of the candidates, many of them are Sikh.

00:26:46.520 The lineup does go around the back of the building.

00:26:50.460 Not quite as far back as I imagine it'll get when it's closer to showtime.

00:26:59.440 Parking lot's starting to fill up, but still a few empty seats.

00:27:03.080 I'm looking forward to it.

00:27:05.480 Grandkids.

00:27:06.820 Four Pierre.

00:27:07.660 Four Pierre.

00:27:08.780 Yes.

00:27:09.160 Right on.

00:27:09.860 Where did you come in from today?

00:27:11.000 Are you from Brampton?

00:27:11.640 From Barrie.

00:27:13.340 Oh.

00:27:14.440 And where did you come in from today?

00:27:16.040 New Market.

00:27:17.140 How long a drive is that?

00:27:17.900 About two hours?

00:27:18.580 An hour and a half?

00:27:19.060 Oh, sometimes it's like four or five hours.

00:27:20.580 Oh, my God.

00:27:21.420 You know what?

00:27:22.700 Back roads.

00:27:24.320 It's been a while since I've been there.

00:27:25.660 Why would you go to that journey to be here today?

00:27:27.820 I wanted to see Peliyev in real life.

00:27:29.720 I usually see him on a screen.

00:27:31.120 I think as human beings, we should actually see our heroes in person.

00:27:34.300 I'm not that person who doesn't believe you shouldn't meet your heroes,

00:27:36.840 so I believe he's my hero.

00:27:38.540 And what is it about him you find appealing?

00:27:41.580 I feel that it's been the last 10 years I've been, as myself,

00:27:45.480 I've never been able to be, you know, realized as a Canadian.

00:27:48.220 It feels like I've been pushed to the side.

00:27:50.080 And Peliyev, he speaks all the right points for me.

00:27:52.100 So I believe he can bring it home.

00:27:53.520 Are you worried about the polls?

00:27:55.680 No, I think that's propaganda.

00:27:58.740 Well, I mean, that's a tempting thing to say.

00:28:03.000 And I mean, I would like to say that.

00:28:05.900 But I see lots of boomers and lots of people who are relieved that they can vote for someone

00:28:13.980 who looks like Mark Carney and sounds like Mark Carney.

00:28:16.180 A lot of people hated Trudeau and he's gone now.

00:28:18.700 So that hatred is removed.

00:28:20.800 And they look at Carney and they say, well, he looks the part.

00:28:23.640 He looks like a wise, you know, older banker.

00:28:28.000 I think that a lot of liberals find it easy to move back to Carney.

00:28:33.400 I find that weird because it's just Trudeau leveled up, really.

00:28:37.080 Like there's not going to be much of a change.

00:28:38.760 You just kind of put a new coat of paint on it, really.

00:28:41.860 I'm a construction electrician.

00:28:44.820 And I really see that these past 10 years of this liberal government has been disastrous for this country.

00:28:52.400 I mean, I remember when Trudeau first took power, when he first won the election.

00:28:56.740 I was 15 years old.

00:28:58.580 And I couldn't vote.

00:29:00.860 And until now, I now have a chance to make change in our country.

00:29:07.060 Hi, how are you?

00:29:09.120 I'm good, I'm good.

00:29:09.700 Good.

00:29:10.240 Are you live right now?

00:29:11.460 Well, we're not live.

00:29:12.140 We're doing live to tape.

00:29:13.080 So who's that on your shirt?

00:29:14.960 This is my local candidate in Scarborough Center, Don Valley East.

00:29:18.480 And who's the incumbent MP there right now?

00:29:21.120 Salma Zahid, the liberal that broke the Liberals Party's tradition of supporting the state of Israel.

00:29:28.380 Right.

00:29:28.920 I know who she is.

00:29:29.860 She's part of what I call the Liberal Hamas Caucus.

00:29:32.340 Scarborough is a pretty tough turf for the conservatives.

00:29:34.700 I know it is.

00:29:35.720 And for 40 years, it's been liberal.

00:29:38.080 But this time around, I think it will be changing to blue.

00:29:41.880 I've been canvassing over there.

00:29:43.360 And we have this app called C2G.

00:29:45.580 We basically identify who's a supporter, who's not, and who's undecided.

00:29:49.360 And overall, we've knocked on, I think, 20,000 doors so far, 10,000 have answered, and 39.6% of them are voting conservative, 35.5% undecided, and 19% are non-supporters.

00:30:06.680 Guys, I want to be really honest.

00:30:09.440 It was working away in the back of my mind, quietly, quietly, ever since the trucker convoy.

00:30:13.940 I wanted to become a trucker.

00:30:16.100 Obviously, I've chosen a different path in life.

00:30:18.400 But I was so inspired by the trucker convoy.

00:30:20.740 And had I had a truck like this in 2022, you know we would have been down there.

00:30:26.360 You know it.

00:30:27.500 And it just took me a couple years to get my act together.

00:30:30.760 I'm very proud of that truck.

00:30:31.860 I know it's not comparable to driving the actual big rigs.

00:30:34.920 But it is our little way of fighting for freedom.

00:30:39.140 And I have a, so I claim a tiny percent, maybe 1% fraternity with the actual truck drivers of Canada.

00:30:47.200 I mean, obviously, this is a, it's not a large truck.

00:30:50.040 You don't need a special license.

00:30:51.800 It's really about ads, not hauling material.

00:30:54.940 But it is a thrill to ride a truck for freedom.

00:30:58.120 And in our small way, this is our homage, our tribute we pay to the truckers who really got us back our freedom in 2022.

00:31:06.860 You may forget what it was like back then.

00:31:09.440 Life has pretty much returned to normal now.

00:31:11.360 But it was awful.

00:31:12.860 And all the establishments were captured.

00:31:16.300 You might recall that all five political parties in the leaders' debate in 2021, they all agreed with the lockdowns.

00:31:21.920 They all agreed with vaccine mandates.

00:31:23.520 There was no actual debate in the leaders' debate.

00:31:26.140 Most of the media were in lockstep.

00:31:30.280 Most of the lawyers, most of the judges, it fell to ordinary truckers to save the country. 0.99

00:31:36.020 As George Orwell wrote in his book, 1984, if there was hope, it was with the proles, the proletariat. 0.87

00:31:42.580 That's what Orwell said some 70-odd years ago.

00:31:46.140 Anyways, that's our little truck.

00:31:47.960 Hi, do you want a selfie?

00:31:49.200 Did you see me?

00:31:50.280 Did you see me pointing out?

00:31:51.640 You're Ezra?

00:31:52.540 Yeah, what's your name?

00:31:53.580 I'm Anne Robert.

00:31:54.480 I'm with the RCMP.

00:31:55.080 Oh, great, this is my friend Efron.

00:31:56.580 Hi, nice to meet you.

00:31:58.720 So I just spoke with some of the party representatives.

00:32:02.080 And they do not particularly like the optics of this van driving around the parking lot.

00:32:08.620 So we just kindly ask on behalf of the party that you just refrain from driving around the van if that's...

00:32:16.760 You guys don't...

00:32:17.520 Well, are you speaking on behalf of the venue or this entire mall?

00:32:22.560 No, I'm speaking on behalf of the Conservative Party.

00:32:25.680 They don't like the optics of the van driving.

00:32:28.840 You don't...

00:32:29.240 And that's fine.

00:32:30.280 I just wanted to make sure that I pass that along to you.

00:32:32.460 Well, I'm happy to talk to the party.

00:32:33.760 I...

00:32:34.040 I...

00:32:34.720 Are you guys going inside?

00:32:36.180 Yeah.

00:32:36.580 Oh, okay.

00:32:36.880 Is there anyone in particular?

00:32:37.880 You know what?

00:32:38.340 When you get inside, you can even ask one of the...

00:32:40.720 Yeah.

00:32:41.540 One of the volunteers.

00:32:42.960 Yeah.

00:32:43.160 So you're just passing on a message.

00:32:45.020 This is not a police directive.

00:32:46.900 No.

00:32:47.380 Yeah.

00:32:47.700 No, it's not.

00:32:48.520 We do have a trespass to property for the building as well as the parking lot.

00:32:51.720 Oh, okay.

00:32:52.860 Well, you...

00:32:53.140 We do have that.

00:32:53.660 That'll be a very exciting moment if that happens.

00:32:56.080 And that's not...

00:32:56.940 I'm just letting you know that there is one in place.

00:33:00.660 But...

00:33:01.060 All right.

00:33:01.620 Well, if you're going to trespass the truck, come and find me.

00:33:04.480 No, no.

00:33:04.900 I'm just letting you know that there is one in place.

00:33:07.480 And I was just kindly on behalf of the party asking that you refrain from driving the van around.

00:33:12.180 It's the optics they don't seem to care for.

00:33:14.420 But if that's a problem, then...

00:33:16.620 Yeah.

00:33:17.040 Well, I mean, one of the reasons that I'm sympathetic to the...

00:33:21.980 I give you money, bud.

00:33:22.520 Oh, thank you very much.

00:33:23.920 I hope we earn it.

00:33:24.920 Thank you.

00:33:25.340 Yeah, no worries.

00:33:25.660 One of the reasons that I'm sympathetic to the Conservative Party...

00:33:29.460 Hey, Brian, how are you doing?

00:33:30.560 Nice to see you.

00:33:31.220 Nice to see you, man.

00:33:31.940 Sorry.

00:33:32.180 Is that...

00:33:32.680 No.

00:33:33.820 It's because I believe in freedom of speech, including the right to prickle at politicians

00:33:38.320 of every stripe.

00:33:39.380 So I hope the Conservative Party isn't becoming censorious and things like that.

00:33:44.200 No, not at all.

00:33:45.160 Not at all.

00:33:45.740 Like I said, it's always...

00:33:46.660 Everything's always...

00:33:47.580 Yeah.

00:33:47.960 Well, I appreciate...

00:33:48.400 I just wanted to share...

00:33:49.120 Yeah, I just wanted to share that with you.

00:33:49.920 No, you're very friendly.

00:33:50.880 You're very friendly.

00:33:52.060 And...

00:33:52.580 There's no reason for me not to.

00:33:53.960 Okay.

00:33:54.540 Thanks very much.

00:33:55.200 No, I thank you.

00:33:55.920 Thank you for your time.

00:33:56.360 Okay.

00:33:56.800 Cheers.

00:33:57.080 Well, that's very strange that the Conservative Party has dispatched an RCMP officer to tell

00:34:05.520 us not to drive the truck around.

00:34:07.840 The truck is clearly marked as a...

00:34:12.020 Well, it's a Rebel News truck that is being rented by the For Canada third-party campaign

00:34:17.520 group that I set up a few weeks ago to comply with election law.

00:34:20.860 That's why we're doing it, because to have a partisan message that you pay money for is

00:34:27.760 a regulated election expense.

00:34:29.540 I learned that the hard way when I wrote a book called The Libranos in 2019.

00:34:34.540 That was just a legit book, normal book, bestseller, by the way.

00:34:38.320 And the Liberals had me prosecuted, which was so gross.

00:34:41.340 But I thought, you know, I don't need to be prosecuted again.

00:34:43.320 I'll just comply with the law.

00:34:44.940 It actually doesn't cost any money to register.

00:34:47.420 Great to see you here.

00:34:49.360 We're going to do a little video with my friend, Efron.

00:34:51.480 The Rebel News vehicle is here from our friend, the Flying Dutchman.

00:34:55.980 Flying Dutchman.

00:34:57.020 Now, I love the rap on it, but you've got some additional stuff.

00:35:03.120 You've got theylied.ca.

00:35:05.300 Yeah, the farmers in Holland.

00:35:06.880 This is for the farmers in Holland.

00:35:08.280 That's very important.

00:35:08.920 Wow.

00:35:09.700 Yes, that's right.

00:35:10.720 And my favorite is on the side.

00:35:13.220 Okay.

00:35:14.040 Rebel News telling the other side of the story.

00:35:15.880 That's amazing.

00:35:16.840 That's right.

00:35:17.240 It's such an honor to drive it because people want to talk to me and they want to hear what

00:35:21.760 I have to say.

00:35:22.900 Some people don't even know Rebel News.

00:35:24.940 And I say, you know what?

00:35:26.060 And I explain.

00:35:27.260 You get the Canadian flag on the top.

00:35:28.920 That's great.

00:35:29.120 Well, all the Liberals are doing it now.

00:35:30.840 So I have to compete with a little one now.

00:35:33.400 Now, the thing that impresses me the most is I do not see any vandalism on the car.

00:35:39.060 Now, maybe I'm missing it.

00:35:40.680 But I mean, that confirms that people are either positive or at least polite.

00:35:47.260 I would be worried that bad people would vandalize the car.

00:35:49.700 Well, I had just another finger.

00:35:52.360 Well, once in a while, that's okay.

00:35:53.960 That's okay.

00:35:55.520 And, you know, it's so nice to be part of a little bit of Rebel News.

00:35:59.640 You guys are doing a great job.

00:36:00.940 Well, thank you.

00:36:01.440 You're one of our number one supporters.

00:36:03.000 And, of course, you came on our last Rebel News cruise, which was super...

00:36:07.640 Oh, really?

00:36:08.060 It changed my life.

00:36:08.520 No, I did.

00:36:09.460 And so at the 17th, we're going again June, right?

00:36:13.040 And so, yeah, it's going to be a lot of fun.

00:36:15.580 Well, great to see you.

00:36:16.360 And thanks for representing Rebel News so nicely.

00:36:19.040 Yeah, it's the same time, man.

00:36:19.460 I love it.

00:36:20.320 So I have fun.

00:36:21.560 Good stuff.

00:36:22.100 Well, good to see you again.

00:36:22.760 Thank you.

00:36:22.920 I see you've got the Make Canada Great Again hat on.

00:36:25.040 Absolutely.

00:36:25.560 Yeah.

00:36:25.940 Yeah.

00:36:26.220 For sure.

00:36:27.260 Now, I heard a rumor from my friend that at another venue,

00:36:30.140 and I'm not looking to cause trouble,

00:36:31.820 but I heard that they were asking people with Make Canada Great Again hats

00:36:35.720 to take them off, which...

00:36:38.240 And I hope they don't do that here, because it's...

00:36:40.260 I was a little nervous about that, because I asked my wife,

00:36:43.540 I said, you know, do you think I should wear it?

00:36:45.000 Like, they might make me take it off, you know,

00:36:47.380 thinking that it's too close to Trump, you know, because...

00:36:50.240 It's sort of the opposite, though.

00:36:51.940 You know, it makes Canada great again.

00:36:53.820 I mean, every country should be great.

00:36:56.240 That's right.

00:36:56.760 Exactly.

00:36:57.740 But, you know, I mean, under Trudeau, we've suffered a lot,

00:37:02.540 and under Carney, we're going to suffer more.

00:37:04.900 Yeah, you're right.

00:37:05.560 And that's something that has to be turned around, so...

00:37:08.660 Well, thanks for talking to me, and I hope you can keep your hat on.

00:37:11.360 Me too.

00:37:12.140 I'm wearing my Rebel...

00:37:12.940 I just got my Rebel hat literally today.

00:37:15.020 I ordered this on rebelnewsstore.com just today.

00:37:18.660 I've ordered things from Rebel News.

00:37:20.220 Oh, yeah?

00:37:20.400 Yeah, especially when we were fighting in Trudeau the first time.

00:37:22.680 The polls are lying, first of all. 0.99

00:37:27.940 And I think the country's going to shit completely if we don't get conservative in. 0.99

00:37:32.840 If there isn't a change, this country's ruined, in my opinion. 0.99

00:37:36.820 That's pretty heavy duty.

00:37:37.880 I mean, I tend to agree with you.

00:37:40.180 What do you think would be the ways it would fall apart?

00:37:44.400 And I don't mean to relish in this doomsday scenario,

00:37:49.600 but what do you think would be the things going wrong?

00:37:52.280 Well, for one, jobs.

00:37:54.200 That's already a massive decline.

00:37:58.260 Number two, the dollar will go down.

00:38:01.260 If Mark Carney gets in, it's over for the dollar.

00:38:04.880 It's over for all of us.

00:38:06.360 What line of work are you in?

00:38:07.660 I'm in construction.

00:38:08.740 I build foundations.

00:38:10.560 And I'm struggling.

00:38:11.580 Just me and my wife, and I'm struggling.

00:38:15.320 So if there isn't a change soon, we're looking at the homeless.

00:38:20.060 Oh, my God.

00:38:21.000 Well, I certainly hope it doesn't come to that.

00:38:23.720 You and me both.

00:38:24.740 That's why I'm here.

00:38:26.260 Because if you and your kids want to have a future in this country,

00:38:30.020 then this is the way we've got to go.

00:38:31.740 Because the other way is just there's no future.

00:38:34.940 There's no light at the end of the tunnel for any of us.

00:38:37.600 This is the target.

00:38:38.820 We are the target.

00:38:40.400 It's now or never.

00:38:41.320 You can't sit the fence in this fight.

00:38:44.080 That's it.

00:38:44.720 Time to pick a side.

00:38:46.400 And I'm here.

00:38:47.380 I've picked my side.

00:38:48.920 I did my research two and a half years.

00:38:52.680 I know my stuff.

00:38:54.300 So I'm here to fight for all of us.

00:38:57.100 All of us.

00:38:58.580 And I'm so happy to see this man.

00:39:01.460 Well, it says you to say it.

00:39:02.460 For all of us, too.

00:39:03.880 Well, good to meet you.

00:39:04.880 Thanks for speaking from the heart.

00:39:06.120 Of course.

00:39:07.460 Well, are you worried about the polls?

00:39:08.760 I am.

00:39:12.160 It's concerning because, unfortunately, people, they buy stuff too easily.

00:39:15.700 And as passionate as the voter base is for the Conservatives, I think it's like 70% or 80% a locked-in vote for them.

00:39:21.120 It's only 50% for the Liberals.

00:39:22.580 So, great as it turned out may be, I'm just hoping that people will still open their eyes and actually see that Pierre is the better option out of the two.

00:39:29.380 All right.

00:39:29.620 Well, thanks for the time.

00:39:30.340 Did you see the truck?

00:39:31.340 What do you think of the truck?

00:39:32.520 I always love seeing that.

00:39:33.480 That's great.

00:39:33.900 Love it.

00:39:34.080 I think in Ontario, a lot of people are slouching back to the Liberals.

00:39:39.080 I'm not trying to argue with you.

00:39:40.320 I'm just telling you I'm worried.

00:39:41.880 Yeah, I see the concern for that.

00:39:43.340 But I believe the people out here like this, it feels like we're fighting the good fight still.

00:39:48.240 We're not out of it yet.

00:39:49.120 It's 522.

00:39:51.960 It's almost 45 minutes till showtime.

00:39:56.000 And they're letting people in here in Brampton at the convention center.

00:40:02.340 I have to get a proper count on the capacity of this building because I don't know if it's in the hundreds or if it's in the thousands.

00:40:09.840 This lineup did stretch around the building.

00:40:12.680 Lots of friendly folks here, Rebel fans.

00:40:15.060 It's always good to come to an event.

00:40:16.980 And David Menzies, if he were here, he'd be mauled by well-wishers and people asking for selfies.

00:40:23.220 And he's got such a funny joke he always tells.

00:40:25.880 It's one of David Menzies' patented dad jokes that if there's a lovely lady who asks for a selfie, he always says,

00:40:32.520 Where were you when I was in high school?

00:40:35.700 It makes me...

00:40:36.760 Thank you very much.

00:40:38.620 Anyways, I get a fraction of David's love, but it's still wonderful.

00:40:42.000 And I think it's because people want to hear the other side of the story.

00:40:48.320 If you watch CTV, CBC, Global, Toronto Star, it's really the same story.

00:40:54.840 It's like they've been handed the same script.

00:40:56.560 And in a way they have because they're all working for the same boss.

00:40:59.480 They all get those media subsidies by Justin Trudeau.

00:41:03.360 I've talked to a number of people here, little vox pop streeters as we call them.

00:41:11.000 And, you know, there's an enthusiasm for Pierre Polyev, but there's also a bit of a worry.

00:41:16.860 You can't look at these polls every day showing either at best a tie or a little bit of a setback for the Conservatives

00:41:25.060 and not be worried, especially after two years of the Conservatives leading so strongly.

00:41:30.900 We'll see what the energy's like when we're inside the crowd, inside the room.

00:41:36.280 Hi, how are you?

00:41:38.280 Are we ready to bring it home?

00:41:42.360 Show that energy with your flashlights.

00:41:45.780 Wow, it's amazing.

00:41:48.160 Friends, please join me in singing our national anthem.

00:41:52.780 Oh, Canada, our home and native land.

00:42:02.760 True hatred love in all our sons' commands.

00:42:11.320 With low remarks we see the rise, the true Lord's strong and free.

00:42:19.620 From far and wide, oh, Canada, we stand on guard for Thee.

00:42:29.600 God, keep our land glorious and free.

00:42:38.240 Oh, Canada, we stand on guard for Thee.

00:42:46.280 Oh, Canada, we stand on guard for Thee.

00:42:56.260 Oh, Canada, we stand on guard for Thee.

00:42:58.240 I'm a leader of the Lee, and I proudly served as the president of the Peel Regional Police Association.

00:43:04.780 And I've worked in Peel, I've worked here in Brankton for more than 25 years.

00:43:09.640 I started just down the street in 21 Division.

00:43:13.780 That was my home base, and this was one of my patrol zones.

00:43:18.180 So when I tell you I used to work on these streets, I used to look out for these neighborhoods and take care of these communities,

00:43:25.160 I'm telling you, I know that from the bottom of my heart because I've worked here.

00:43:28.180 But I'm proud to stand here today and say that the Peel Regional Police Association is here to make a change.

00:43:39.520 Make a change with all of you and support a leader who will make this good.

00:43:43.900 He will restore mandatory minimums. 0.97

00:43:55.240 He will slam the revolving door of criminality and put violent offenders where they belong, behind bars.

00:44:02.260 It is no longer acceptable for them to be out on our streets.

00:44:12.100 He will put victims before criminals.

00:44:15.060 He will put families before politics.

00:44:17.500 And he will put safety before ideology.

00:44:24.900 My friends, this isn't about right or left.

00:44:28.140 This is about right and wrong.

00:44:30.360 So let's take back our communities.

00:44:34.160 Brinkton, let's bring it home.

00:44:41.540 And if you had doubt at all the courage of our police officers, let's look back to 2022.

00:44:47.760 Two days after Christmas near Brantford, OPP Constable Greg Persella was shot and killed.

00:44:55.180 The accused, Randall McKenzie, had a long history of convictions for violent crime.

00:45:02.160 But guess what?

00:45:03.460 He was out on bail.

00:45:07.980 He had already attacked his ex-girlfriend and been caught with an illegal firearm.

00:45:12.980 He'd been denied bail at first, but then the judge changed his mind and turned him loose.

00:45:18.280 These are just one of the many examples that if we look over to 2018 in Mississauga, a 14-year-old boy, Riley, was killed by two brothers, one of whom was out on bail for robbery, death threats, and violating other bail conditions.

00:45:39.360 So he violates the bail conditions, and they let him out on bail again.

00:45:44.460 Five years later, they pled guilty to the lesser offense of manslaughter, which the family rightly called a denial of justice.

00:45:53.380 And then, if you turn the page to the next story, you have Darian's grandparents, Flo and Paul, who are here today.

00:46:03.960 In Brampton, Darian was a beautiful and beloved young woman from a loving family whose life was taken tragically five years ago.

00:46:13.380 The accused was an ex of hers who was out on bail for weapons charges, violence, and breaking contact orders with her.

00:46:22.860 Unbelievably, as we gather here today, he can apply for bail again.

00:46:29.180 No family should have to face that.

00:46:32.400 And then there's Tori Stafford.

00:46:33.780 In 2009, Michael Rafferty and Terry Lynn McClintock murdered Tori just a few months shy of her ninth birthday.

00:46:43.880 Despite being sentenced to life in prison with no chance of parole for 25 years, the Kearney-Trudeau liberals let Rafferty move to a medium-security prison.

00:46:55.500 And McClintock was moved to a healing lodge in 2018.

00:46:59.140 A move that was only reversed because of strong pressure from conservative members of parliament in the House of Commons.

00:47:11.240 This radical wave of crime is not happening by accident.

00:47:17.780 These radical decisions are not being simply handed out by judges.

00:47:22.260 They are being imposed by catch-and-release laws of the liberal government.

00:47:26.600 Ron is running for us in Oakville, Oakville East, but he is a long-time police officer, including for Peel.

00:47:35.320 And tell me what you've seen from catch-and-release under liberal Bill C-75.

00:47:40.900 If I were to explain to you and have you live the life of an average police officer just over the last six years,

00:47:47.760 ever since Bill C-75 came in in 2019, it would keep you up for decades.

00:47:53.040 And it's terrible.

00:47:54.500 We have families who have lost their loved ones, their kids in their own household from fentanyl overdoses,

00:48:00.500 and police officers and first responders have to tell the family.

00:48:03.680 We have repeat violent offenders committing murders, carjackings, home invasions,

00:48:08.380 and when we catch them, we have to tell these innocent Canadian victims, good people with their family,

00:48:13.180 their loved ones in their house, that the person who did this was on bail.

00:48:16.660 And we're trying everything we can do to keep this person in custody, but this liberal government has always led them out.

00:48:23.100 That heartbreak was the reason why I got involved with Pierre Polyev.

00:48:27.560 I had been lobbying to government as an independent police officer to say,

00:48:30.920 please bring back common sense.

00:48:32.820 And out of all of the politicians I had met years ago, I'd met with Pierre Polyev.

00:48:36.720 He was the only politician to ever ask me, how do we fix it?

00:48:48.520 And Ron, I'm happy to say that we will fix it.

00:48:52.200 A Canada-first Conservative government will repeal catch-and-release bail in NC-75.

00:48:57.620 Love you too, buddy. Who's this guy? What's your name?

00:49:05.980 Anthony. Say hi to everyone, Anthony.

00:49:08.180 Hi, everyone.

00:49:12.340 Anthony, why did you come here today?

00:49:14.540 To support you.

00:49:15.780 Thank you very much. Good young man.

00:49:18.140 How old are you?

00:49:21.120 I'm 12.

00:49:23.080 Wow. And what do you want to see for our country?

00:49:25.860 I want to see crimes being stopped.

00:49:29.300 I want to see Canada turn good again.

00:49:31.440 Amazing.

00:49:32.280 Let's bring it home. Way to go, bud.

00:49:34.280 Thank you. Way to go.

00:49:36.400 What a great kid.

00:49:39.580 Maybe a future prime minister over there.

00:49:42.400 Right now, the government allows 99% of shipping containers

00:49:48.040 to come in and go out without inspection.

00:49:50.700 Where do you think all the stolen cars go?

00:49:54.300 Out of shipping containers.

00:49:56.300 So imagine this very simple idea.

00:49:59.520 You've got a CBSA officer.

00:50:01.460 We're going to hire 2,000 more of those too.

00:50:04.320 And he sits there.

00:50:08.880 You can tell me if this is a good idea, okay?

00:50:12.080 I know you're not CBSA, but would this work?

00:50:14.340 So you've got the manifest.

00:50:17.040 And it says that in the shipping container is widgets.

00:50:20.900 And then you look at the scanner, and it shows that it's a Beamer.

00:50:24.140 Well, then you go and you pull the Beamer out of the container.

00:50:29.300 You call the guy on the VIN and say,

00:50:30.960 were you planning to send your Beamer to Turkey today?

00:50:33.740 And he says, no, I was going to drive it to work, but it went missing in this morning.

00:50:38.740 Oh, well, we've got it over at the Port of Montreal.

00:50:40.520 You can come get it.

00:50:41.680 And then you find out who booked the shipping container.

00:50:44.200 You go to that guy and say, you're under arrest.

00:50:46.640 You have a right to remain silent.

00:50:48.100 What do you think?

00:50:50.440 Did that work?

00:50:53.120 I don't know.

00:50:56.100 I'm just a simple boy from the prairies,

00:50:58.480 but it seems like it would make sense to me, right?

00:51:01.860 Yeah, that's right.

00:51:04.140 Common sense.

00:51:05.080 And we're going to have watchtowers that scan the frontier border

00:51:09.660 to stop illegal crossings from happening.

00:51:12.040 We will also have more frontline officers

00:51:15.120 and less back office bureaucrats and consultants.

00:51:18.520 And we're going to pay for all this

00:51:20.080 by canceling the ridiculous multi-billion dollar gun grab

00:51:25.740 that targets hunters and sport shooters.

00:51:28.060 Well, the rally is over.

00:51:40.460 A tough on crime speech by Pierre Polyev.

00:51:43.020 Hundreds of people.

00:51:43.900 I don't know if it was thousands.

00:51:47.240 You know, I saw estimates that suggested it was in the thousands,

00:51:50.820 but I also saw them closing.

00:51:53.900 You know how big rooms have sort of segmented doors?

00:51:57.320 So they closed the room to make it a little smaller.

00:52:01.200 That concerned me a little bit.

00:52:03.580 There were a lot of candidates here from the Brampton area.

00:52:07.940 The speech was fairly high energy.

00:52:10.900 But I have to tell you, I'm a little bit worried.

00:52:13.220 If you're in the greater Toronto area

00:52:15.140 and you give people a few days' notice,

00:52:17.760 even if they did have 2,000 people,

00:52:19.740 and I'm not sure if they did,

00:52:21.400 shouldn't it be bigger?

00:52:22.800 I saw that amazing rally in Edmonton

00:52:25.980 where there were between 10,000 and 15,000 people.

00:52:28.820 They had to get an airplane hangar

00:52:30.740 or something, some huge factory-style building

00:52:33.520 to fit everybody.

00:52:35.080 But that's Alberta. 0.92

00:52:36.460 I mean, the Conservatives are going to do well in Alberta.

00:52:38.880 They need to do well in the greater Toronto area.

00:52:40.960 I'm not talking about downtown Toronto,

00:52:43.240 fancy-pantsy Toronto.

00:52:44.520 I'm talking about in the GTA, the greater Toronto area,

00:52:48.060 half an hour outside this city.

00:52:49.760 This is a very hard-working area.

00:52:51.920 It's a multicultural area,

00:52:54.080 but all the candidates for the party are multicultural.

00:52:57.140 They're Sikh.

00:52:58.080 One was a cop.

00:53:00.500 The local police force just endorsed the party.

00:53:04.160 They should have had a 2,000, 3,000, 4,000,

00:53:06.140 5,000-person rally here.

00:53:08.240 I won't lie to you.

00:53:08.940 I'm a little worried about it.

00:53:10.560 Listen, the election still has halfway to go.

00:53:14.080 It's still time to do whatever is necessary.

00:53:17.140 I was glad to be here.

00:53:18.480 It's wall-to-wall love for Rebel News.

00:53:21.460 But Pierre Polyev's got to fight hard these next two weeks

00:53:26.360 because right now, if I had to bet,

00:53:30.060 if I had to go with my gut, I hate to say it,

00:53:33.240 Mark Carney, the World Economic Forum director,

00:53:36.420 the favorite son of China,

00:53:38.280 is on track to become our new prime minister.

00:53:40.940 Believe me, I hate saying those words.

00:53:42.600 It's just my honest sense of things as of today.

00:53:45.940 There's a little bit of a coda to the story earlier

00:53:48.440 where the police told me to shut down our truck,

00:53:52.460 to get our truck away.

00:53:54.380 As you may know, we put a little Twitter video

00:53:57.580 of my interaction with that police officer online,

00:54:00.700 and I got a message sent to me by the Conservative Party

00:54:05.260 saying they checked with all their staff

00:54:07.800 and no one, no one instructed the police to shoo us away.

00:54:13.520 Really?

00:54:14.080 Now, I managed to track down the RCMP officer again,

00:54:18.020 that friendly lady who in a friendly way said, 1.00

00:54:20.360 get the truck away.

00:54:21.620 And I said, look, the Conservative Party

00:54:23.220 is denying that this happened,

00:54:24.680 but I find it hard to believe that the police

00:54:26.700 would make this up out of whole cloth.

00:54:29.040 And she said that it was the private security

00:54:31.620 who instructed her,

00:54:32.740 and I should take it up with them.

00:54:33.740 So I will.

00:54:34.560 I just wanted to draw a line under that

00:54:37.440 because it's not the Conservative way to be censorious.

00:54:41.340 At least it shouldn't be.

00:54:42.800 And it certainly is not the Conservative way

00:54:44.760 to tell Rebel News that we can't express ourselves,

00:54:47.520 or at least it shouldn't be.

00:54:48.760 I mean, that's Erin O'Toole's stuff,

00:54:50.580 that's Andrew Scheer's stuff,

00:54:51.860 stuff that's best left in the past.

00:54:53.800 So I did reconnect with that cop.

00:54:56.300 I managed to find that cop again,

00:54:57.800 which was not easy.

00:54:59.220 And she said it was the private security.

00:55:01.540 So I'll take it back to them.

00:55:02.860 Anyways, I just wanted to end,

00:55:05.120 to tell you the end of that story.

00:55:06.940 We did sort of chase it down.

00:55:09.400 I don't know what it means,

00:55:10.600 but I hope that the Conservative Party of Canada

00:55:12.600 continues to embrace freedom of speech.

00:55:15.920 I don't want them to become another Mark Carney light party.

00:55:23.140 Well, we're covering this campaign from coast to coast

00:55:25.800 from Drea Humphrey,

00:55:27.020 who's got you covered on the west coast,

00:55:28.640 to Alexa Lavoie in La Belle Provence of Quebec

00:55:31.380 and Ottawa and Toronto.

00:55:33.020 And we got rebels everywhere.

00:55:34.680 Sheila was just at the big rally in Edmonton.

00:55:36.940 Help us out and stay informed.

00:55:38.480 Go to campaign2025.com.

00:55:41.580 You've got it for freedom.

00:55:44.740 Shame on you. 0.93

00:55:45.920 You censorious bug. 0.93

00:55:47.880 You censorious bug.
