Rebel News Podcast - EZRA LIVE! Twitter double standards, “Allah is gay＂ + your comments

00:00:00.060 Oh, hi there. It's August 17th. I'm Ezra Levant, and you're watching Battleground.

00:00:11.600 Hey, welcome to the show. Do you know that every single Friday, unless I'm traveling or doing something that makes me have to leave the side of my trusty laptop,

00:00:19.860 I do something called Battleground, which uses the new thing that Google YouTube has allowed us to do for a few months now.

00:00:27.320 It's called Super Chat. That's their word. As you can see on the right-hand side of the screen, your comments come up as usual.

00:00:34.540 But Super Chat is a new thing that YouTube added, where for a few bucks or a few lira or a few rupees,

00:00:41.240 you can make your comment highlighted in a bright color to stand out from all the others.

00:00:45.900 And as I'm looking forward, I see it out of the corner of my eye, and I'll immediately read it.

00:00:51.220 And the great news for us here at The Rebel is we get a portion of those revenues. I think it's 70%.

00:00:56.760 So we help pay our bills, which is good, because YouTube, of course, has demonetized us and the rest of the conservative web.

00:01:02.800 Hey, at least they haven't banned us yet, like they have banned Alex Jones.

00:01:08.280 Hey, I want to talk about our millionth subscriber, guys.

00:01:11.480 So get ready to show the Thanks a Million website.

00:01:13.800 But I'm just talking to our team here.

00:01:16.440 But let me tell you a quick thing.

00:01:18.500 I mean, we just hit a million subscribers on YouTube, which I think is pretty cool.

00:01:22.760 I know we're being throttled in a few ways.

00:01:25.680 I already mentioned that we're demonetized on the ad side.

00:01:28.700 And notifications, people regularly say that they don't receive notifications for videos.

00:01:34.160 I mean, really, when you've got one million subscribers and you do a live chat and you have 258 people watching,

00:01:41.880 it's pretty clear that the other 999,950 did not get a notification.

00:01:48.760 I'm not whining.

00:01:50.620 I'm just explaining what's going on.

00:01:52.500 Like I say, at least we weren't deleted altogether, as was Alex Jones.

00:01:56.920 He had about 2.4, 2.5 million YouTube subscribers.

00:02:01.720 That is mighty.

00:02:03.480 I mean, there are bigger sites, of course.

00:02:05.000 There's some, you know, PewDiePie has more than 50 million.

00:02:07.740 He's, what, 60 million or something.

00:02:09.220 But he's an entertainer.

00:02:10.420 He's a gamer.

00:02:11.100 He's a, you know, there's a lot of music sites.

00:02:14.760 There's a lot of pop culture sites, movie sites.

00:02:18.940 But in terms of news commentary, Alex Jones was one of the biggest with 2.4 million.

00:02:23.740 And they just pushed a button and deleted him.

00:02:25.680 Not only shut his account down, but also wiping out thousands of videos he had.

00:02:31.300 We have 9,700 videos on our system.

00:02:34.160 And they would be deleted in a button, push for a button.

00:02:37.720 But that's what could happen to us.

00:02:39.640 But let me show you our thanksamillion.ca website.

00:02:44.600 We actually, look at that. 0.66

00:02:46.800 Well, I'm so ugly.

00:02:48.040 I'm so glad I don't have to look at me most of the time. 0.78

00:02:50.220 Look at that picture there.

00:02:51.520 Thanksamillion.ca.

00:02:52.360 Scroll down a bit, because we have a commemorative pin.

00:02:56.680 And I sort of like the pin.

00:02:58.720 Yeah, go down further so we can show the pin.

00:03:01.460 There you go.

00:03:02.360 You see that pin there?

00:03:03.680 There's two different versions of it.

00:03:04.980 I like the one on top.

00:03:06.300 I call it gunmetal gray.

00:03:08.140 And then we got a color one, the One Million Club.

00:03:14.940 And as you can see, we just started a sort of crowdfunding.

00:03:18.460 They're $50 each for the gunmetal gray.

00:03:21.100 And there's other prices, too.

00:03:22.300 And it's a fundraiser.

00:03:23.600 Absolutely it is.

00:03:24.440 And I don't apologize for that, because we have to pay the bills.

00:03:27.280 Alex Jones pays the bills with his supplements and vitamins.

00:03:30.880 We've got these pins.

00:03:32.260 So if you want a pin, feel free to subscribe.

00:03:34.600 Sorry, not to subscribe.

00:03:35.440 Feel free to buy a pin.

00:03:36.160 And you can wear it.

00:03:38.160 And it's like a secret signal that someone else sees that pin, and they know what you're

00:03:42.040 about and whatnot.

00:03:43.820 So there you go.

00:03:44.880 We got a million subscribers, and thank you for being amongst them.

00:03:48.260 And here's what I'd like to cover today.

00:03:49.800 It is 12.03 p.m.

00:03:51.260 On Fridays, we used to do this every day, but I just couldn't be at my computer every day

00:03:56.520 at 12 noon Eastern time.

00:03:57.940 So we do it every Friday.

00:03:58.980 And we used to call Fridays free for all Fridays, which means I would just read a ton of comments.

00:04:07.460 And I'm going to do that today.

00:04:08.360 But there are a few things I'm going to touch on also.

00:04:10.960 I've got a very interesting video from British Columbia at their gay pride parade, where a 0.96

00:04:17.500 Persian man, who I presume is gay, walks through with a sign that says Allah is gay. 0.67

00:04:24.720 And we'll play you some of that. 0.99

00:04:26.820 I'm not going to play all of that for you.

00:04:30.020 Guys, why don't we get it ready?

00:04:31.800 I want to play it.

00:04:33.840 Let's cut it in half because it's a little long.

00:04:35.400 But I want to play the second half, where he encounters people who say you can't do that.

00:04:41.140 And so let's get that ready to show.

00:04:43.540 That's Armin Navabi.

00:04:45.480 He's obviously not a practicing Muslim.

00:04:48.520 I don't think he is.

00:04:50.240 I think he's an atheist.

00:04:51.780 But maybe he's just a liberal Muslim. 0.90

00:04:53.260 I don't know.

00:04:53.720 I don't know if other Muslims would regard him as Muslim, but there's some interesting

00:04:57.600 moments there.

00:04:58.640 I want to show you that video because it's interesting.

00:05:01.680 I want to show you some more of social media banning our friends.

00:05:07.480 Our friend Gavin McInnes was just taken off of Twitter.

00:05:11.160 Just boom.

00:05:11.960 He had, what, a quarter million or more followers.

00:05:14.860 And Twitter just said, no, you may wish to choose to follow Gavin McInnes, but we don't

00:05:19.180 believe you should, consenting adults should have the power to follow Gavin McInnes.

00:05:24.300 I see, out of the corner of my eye, a super chat.

00:05:28.780 The Corker chips in five bucks and says, will Justin Trudeau fire Ikra Khaled?

00:05:34.560 I doubt it.

00:05:35.320 And right under that Red Pill Scott, five pounds says, hey, looking to offer a rebel voice

00:05:41.600 here in Scotland.

00:05:42.720 Well, thanks very much, Red Pill Scott.

00:05:44.260 Why don't you send us an email to careers at the rebel.media, careers at the rebel.media

00:05:51.660 with a link to a sample of your work.

00:05:54.520 Like if you've got a video out there, it doesn't even have to be fancy.

00:05:57.300 It can be like something you shoot on your webcam or even your cell phone.

00:06:01.860 Don't worry about the production value.

00:06:02.980 I just want to see what you look like, sound like, feel like, talk about things like that.

00:06:08.940 PrimPal08, congratulations on passing a million subscribers.

00:06:11.360 Thank you very much.

00:06:11.980 But let me come back to the Corker who says, well, Justin Trudeau fire Ikra Khaled.

00:06:15.960 Can we get an image of Ikra Khaled with that gentleman from, there's a Palestinian activist

00:06:22.540 and that's fine.

00:06:23.940 And Palestinian Canadians are citizens or they can be, and they can have their points of

00:06:28.720 view.

00:06:28.920 They can even take strong points of view against Israel.

00:06:32.260 That's fine.

00:06:33.200 That's part of democracy.

00:06:34.520 But this one activist whose name, I don't want to get it wrong.

00:06:38.080 It's not right in front of me. 0.77

00:06:39.820 It's just a full born, full blown, out of hand anti-Semite.

00:06:45.960 And that's different.

00:06:47.420 That's different.

00:06:48.020 Now, again, that's lawful.

00:06:49.080 It's not against the law to hate anybody in Canada.

00:06:52.540 You can't ban hate.

00:06:54.100 It's a human emotion.

00:06:55.460 But what you can do is you can exercise political judgment.

00:06:58.240 So let's put that up here.

00:07:00.040 And I want to show you Ikra Khaled, who is the Pakistani-born Muslim MP who brought in

00:07:07.620 the anti-Islamophobia motion.

00:07:09.680 You can see the man in question, Amin El-Muad.

00:07:21.500 He's standing there with Justin Trudeau.

00:07:24.640 And he's standing on the right there.

00:07:27.500 I don't know who is.

00:07:28.360 Can I get one with him and Ikra Khaled?

00:07:31.620 Anyhow, on two occasions now, Ikra Khaled, this Pakistani-born Muslim MP, has given an

00:07:39.680 award to this gentleman on two occasions.

00:07:45.720 And the first time, it was such a scandal that many reports documented how anti-Semitic

00:07:51.320 and how virulent he was.

00:07:53.560 So you might give Ikra Khaled the benefit of the doubt and say, oh, well, you know, she 0.81

00:07:57.960 didn't know.

00:07:59.200 But when she did it a second time, you can't make that mistake twice in a row.

00:08:06.200 And a group that's a watchdog for anti-Jewish hate, it's called B'nai B'rith.

00:08:12.580 There you go.

00:08:14.460 You know, giving him a celebratory commemorative certificate.

00:08:19.160 Now, there was such a fuss that she later apologized, oh, I didn't know, it was an accident.

00:08:25.360 That's just not credible.

00:08:27.140 It's not credible.

00:08:28.040 But here's my point.

00:08:29.380 And I know our American and our British viewers are saying, well, I don't know who this Ikra 1.00

00:08:32.920 Khaled is.

00:08:34.720 And I don't know, you know, much about this other character.

00:08:37.460 But let me tell you this.

00:08:39.340 The reason Ikra Khaled is not just some no-name backbencher is because she introduced into 0.91

00:08:43.580 the Canadian Parliament a motion called M-103, which is an anti-Islamophobia motion, which

00:08:50.120 will ban Islamophobia using the whole of government.

00:08:54.820 So everything from the police to the courts to the media to the budgets to the tax code

00:08:59.800 to our border patrol, whatever, all of it will be tasked to fighting Islamophobia.

00:09:05.100 But what does Islamophobia mean?

00:09:06.380 Well, the motion didn't define that.

00:09:08.580 So it basically means whatever she says it means.

00:09:12.280 It means anyone she wants to shut up, she'll call an Islamophobe. 1.00

00:09:17.440 And I was following this eruption on Twitter over the last few days as Ikra Khaled was actually

00:09:23.780 so embarrassed by the fact that her dirty deeds were revealed to the public that she apologized.

00:09:31.160 And someone said, isn't it ironic that the MP who is pushing for an anti-Islamophobia motion

00:09:38.580 also happens to be an MP rewarding an anti-Semite?

00:09:42.960 And I wrote back on Twitter, how's that ironic?

00:09:47.300 Ironic is two things that are in contradiction to each other.

00:09:51.500 As the Alanis Morissette song goes, you know, it's like 2,000 spoons when all you need is a knife.

00:09:57.480 That's not really ironic, but do you see my point?

00:09:59.520 There's a contradiction there.

00:10:00.480 There is no contradiction between threatening anyone who criticizes Islam with legal punishment

00:10:08.960 and that same threatener promoting anti-Semitism.

00:10:13.200 There's no contradiction.

00:10:14.420 They go hand in hand.

00:10:17.020 That's Ikra Khaled.

00:10:17.900 That's my answer to one of the super chats.

00:10:19.280 I see another super chat.

00:10:20.360 Blaine Sandberg, congrats to you on a million subscribers.

00:10:23.040 Well, thank you very much, Blaine.

00:10:26.140 I want to make sure I've got all the comments there.

00:10:29.260 I think I might have missed one.

00:10:30.700 Here we go.

00:10:31.520 Puppy Strachan, 449 Australian.

00:10:34.160 Well, thank you very much for that.

00:10:36.240 I think I've caught up on all of those.

00:10:39.020 So let me, without further to do, show you this video.

00:10:42.720 And you know what?

00:10:44.200 We, here at The Rebel, we try to shine a light of support and publicity on our progressive Muslim friends.

00:10:52.560 People in the States, you may know Zutty Jasser in London.

00:10:56.240 I've gotten to like this Majid Nawaz.

00:10:58.040 We've never interacted with him, but I admire him from afar.

00:11:00.760 In Canada, we have friends, whether it's Salim Mansour in London, Ontario, or Raheel Raza here in Toronto.

00:11:09.120 Tarek Fattah, excellent people.

00:11:11.500 I want to show you someone.

00:11:12.440 I've never met him, but I think his name is Armin Navabi, which I think is a Persian name. 0.97

00:11:18.220 And he's gay, obviously.

00:11:19.660 And he's living the Canadian lifestyle, which means he's not living under Shri Allah. 0.98

00:11:22.920 Under Shri Allah, he'd be thrown off the top of a roof. 0.96

00:11:25.740 So, you know, I'm just reading from his biography here.

00:11:32.120 He's the author of the best-known and selling book, Why There Is No God, and a co-host of Secular Jihadists. 0.99

00:11:38.880 That's a funny phrase, isn't it?

00:11:40.760 So I guess he would call himself an ex-Muslim.

00:11:44.820 Let me read from the top there.

00:11:45.820 Armin Navabi is an Iranian-born ex-Muslim atheist and secular activist, author, podcaster, and vlogger, currently living in Vancouver, Canada.

00:11:57.800 So he would not...

00:12:00.060 So apparently, I was going to say, I called him a liberal Muslim or a Muslim reformer.

00:12:04.440 He's clearly called himself an ex-Muslim and an atheist.

00:12:07.780 But look what he did at the Vancouver Gay Pride Parade, which is a very large gay pride parade.

00:12:12.040 It's probably the largest one in Canada, and the second largest.

00:12:15.540 Let's just play a few minutes, and I'd like the second half of the video, if you please.

00:12:19.720 Go ahead.

00:12:20.400 Reactions?

00:12:21.320 What's this?

00:12:22.360 It's a sign. 1.00

00:12:24.160 What's the fucking sign? 1.00

00:12:25.520 You're crazy or what? 1.00

00:12:26.680 What's wrong? 0.99

00:12:28.460 We don't know halal or not halal.

00:12:30.400 You're not allowed to do this.

00:12:34.280 It's a free country.

00:12:36.460 Yeah, it's free, but it offends lots of people.

00:12:39.900 Why is it right?

00:12:40.960 Why is it wrong?

00:12:42.040 I think he is the bravest person here.

00:12:50.620 It's a bold statement.

00:12:53.420 This seems like a very simple thing to do here, and it is.

00:12:56.600 There's not that much consequences for us saying something like this. 0.99

00:13:00.260 Allah is gay here. 1.00

00:13:01.480 But this is punishable by death in many countries. 0.98

00:13:04.740 We just want to show to them, if they're watching, that there are places where you could get away with saying stuff like this.

00:13:10.680 And nothing can happen to you.

00:13:11.900 And give them hope.

00:13:13.100 Give them hope that if we can get away without a death penalty or imprisonment in a country like this, and not only be free to say it, we can show you how much positive support we got from people.

00:13:22.680 There is hope for your country.

00:13:24.080 Love has to win, and not just here, but everywhere.

00:13:27.580 Hi, I just wanted to say I love what you just wrote down.

00:13:30.580 Oh, it's so wonderful to see that.

00:13:32.200 And I'm also from a Muslim family.

00:13:34.320 Oh, thank you so much for the support.

00:13:47.580 That's amazing.

00:13:48.780 That is an interesting story.

00:13:58.380 You know what?

00:13:58.780 I was unsure if he called himself officially an atheist, and I see now that he does.

00:14:04.260 I thought it was interesting that there were a couple of Muslim men.

00:14:07.780 Men, of course, men.

00:14:08.880 Men are the enforcers of religious modesty in theocracies like Saudi Arabia and Iran.

00:14:15.060 You can imagine if they would say that in Canada, in Vancouver, which is a liberal city, and obviously in the precincts of a gay pride parade, what they would say perhaps in their mosque or to women.

00:14:29.300 So that shows that even in Canada, you have some strains of that.

00:14:33.900 What was interesting to me was listening to Navabi, I think he was doing it as a test. 0.91

00:14:39.560 I don't think he actually believes Allah is gay.

00:14:41.420 I don't think anyone does.

00:14:45.060 He was just doing it as a test to show, as he said, people in the Muslim world that there is perhaps hope that things can change. 1.00

00:14:52.640 I don't think that proves the point, though, because Vancouver is free and liberal, especially on matters of sexuality.

00:15:01.360 But Iran is still not.

00:15:02.900 There is some uprising.

00:15:04.000 There are some uprisings in Iran, and I think we need to support them more.

00:15:07.460 But Saudi, and you would say there's a drop of reform in Saudi Arabia.

00:15:11.780 I see that some women are allowed to drive under some circumstances now. 1.00

00:15:16.040 But I don't think it necessarily proves hopefulness that Canada is free if Iran isn't. 1.00

00:15:22.300 And let me ask you a question about Canada and about the United Kingdom, which I know better and better these days,

00:15:28.800 and about continental Europe, is the trend there towards more or less Sharia law in the public square?

00:15:38.680 Is it the trend there to more or less tolerance for this Armin Navabi?

00:15:43.680 If he were to walk through London, England, would he get such a happy response?

00:15:49.920 Vancouver is not a very Muslim city.

00:15:51.520 There are South Asians, there are people from the Indian subcontinent.

00:15:58.380 Some of them are Muslim, of course.

00:16:00.180 But as you may know, if you know Canada, the large demographic minorities in that city are Chinese, Sikh, Filipino, Korean, Taiwanese.

00:16:12.300 It's Toronto and Montreal that have the much larger Muslim population, London, Windsor.

00:16:17.120 So I don't know if Armin Navabi would be able to get away with that in Toronto.

00:16:26.440 Or in Mississauga, a more Muslim suburb.

00:16:31.620 I know he wouldn't be able to get away with it in many parts of London.

00:16:36.460 I know he'd probably be stoned in Luton.

00:16:39.520 And I know there's some parts of Paris where he'd be stabbed.

00:16:45.620 And I put it to you, and the same in Rotterdam and Malmo, Sweden.

00:16:50.980 I put it to you that all of these places I've just listed in the West are going more towards the Iranian, 0.98

00:16:58.200 more towards the Saudi way than Saudi and Iran are going towards the Vancouver way.

00:17:03.800 Would you agree with me on that?

00:17:04.720 Would you agree with me that while he is experiencing this moment of total liberation in Vancouver,

00:17:14.060 that the trend is against him?

00:17:16.260 That's what I believe.

00:17:17.860 All right, let's go and grab some more comments.

00:17:22.760 It's 1217.

00:17:23.940 I do this every Friday from 12 noon to 1 p.m. Eastern.

00:17:26.960 I'm just going to read.

00:17:32.680 JP, I saw a gang of Muslims in London, Ontario, attack a white man.

00:17:37.040 You know, I take your word for it. 0.72

00:17:40.080 There are plenty of gangs.

00:17:42.820 In Canada, there's an enormous problem with Somali gangs.

00:17:46.540 Can you call up the list of the most wanted criminals in Toronto?

00:17:50.280 I saw Manny Montegrino tweet it, but you could probably find it just as fast.

00:17:54.040 It was sort of a startling picture.

00:17:56.020 If you look at the most wanted criminals in Toronto, they have one thing in common,

00:18:01.740 and they're not the Irish.

00:18:05.200 They're not, here we go, Ubaid Saeed, Akeel White, Ibrahim Mohamed,

00:18:13.860 Shaquan McLean, Abdul Qadir Handul, Mehmet Akert.

00:18:18.680 They're not all Muslim. 1.00

00:18:23.220 I see, I'd say they're 50 to 60% Muslim.

00:18:28.240 Alas Warsami, Mohamed Kalam Kamunin, Hussain Gojani.

00:18:35.040 It's not 100% Muslim.

00:18:36.580 It absolutely isn't.

00:18:38.540 And there's a white guy at the bottom, Dennis Melvin Howe,

00:18:42.000 and a woman named Rosaline Wallace.

00:18:45.160 They, they're on the list, as you can see,

00:18:48.260 they've been wanted for homicides in the 1980s.

00:18:52.660 But if you scroll up, you can see the demographic change

00:18:57.240 in the great city of Toronto.

00:19:01.440 Yeah, and now we have police in Canada who, in Halifax, for example,

00:19:14.320 there's been a spate of rapes by Halifax taxi drivers.

00:19:21.640 And Halifax is a great little town, great little city, going there next week. 0.98

00:19:26.880 And this is shocking, like rape after rape after rape of girls being raped by taxi drivers. 0.97

00:19:35.320 And for the first few times, they reported the identity of the taxi drivers. 0.89

00:19:41.600 Sometimes if he got away, the girl would say it was someone with a Middle Eastern accent

00:19:45.880 and darker skin and an Arab accent or a Muslim accent.

00:19:49.480 But after a while, they stopped describing the men.

00:19:52.500 I remember one hilarious and sad instance where they were just described as having an accent.

00:19:59.900 Now, if you describe someone as having an accent,

00:20:01.860 I suppose you told me something more than I knew before.

00:20:04.880 You can rule out a native-born Canadian.

00:20:08.100 But who do you rule in?

00:20:09.400 Now, the girl who was raped obviously heard the accent,

00:20:14.120 and she probably could identify it.

00:20:16.740 But when you just say an accent, was it an Italian accent?

00:20:21.680 Was it a Yiddish accent, maybe?

00:20:23.740 Was it a Jamaican accent?

00:20:25.940 There's so many different...

00:20:26.840 Was it a Cockney accent?

00:20:28.820 Oy, mate! 0.85

00:20:29.720 Was it a Down Under accent?

00:20:32.040 Was it a Chinese?

00:20:33.520 I mean, you're really not saying...

00:20:35.480 Yeah, police say the attackers are men,

00:20:38.100 mostly with dark hair,

00:20:40.940 an age between 30 and 50,

00:20:42.260 most spoke with an accent,

00:20:44.100 and many had mustaches.

00:20:45.140 Okay, dark hair.

00:20:46.060 So you told me what the dark hair is.

00:20:48.600 What's the skin color?

00:20:50.500 And what accents?

00:20:52.780 What...

00:20:53.200 Sexual assault allegations in Halifax.

00:20:55.800 Taxis spark warnings.

00:20:57.240 Oh, this is a gorgeous...

00:20:58.100 Scroll down.

00:20:58.660 I remember this story.

00:20:59.920 The warnings are,

00:21:01.260 hey, girls, 0.99

00:21:02.780 here's where to sit in a taxi.

00:21:05.280 Look at that.

00:21:06.240 12 sexual assault complaints

00:21:07.920 against taxi drivers in recent years.

00:21:10.460 Keep scrolling down.

00:21:11.260 Keep scrolling.

00:21:12.000 If this is 7 of 14 cases,

00:21:15.540 police have identified suspects.

00:21:17.780 Keep going down.

00:21:19.080 Keep going down. 0.98

00:21:19.820 They're Muslim. 0.91

00:21:21.480 I'm sorry.

00:21:21.900 I just...

00:21:22.420 Why can we not say that?

00:21:24.220 I think if you go down,

00:21:25.740 keep going down

00:21:26.420 until I get to the police advice.

00:21:28.200 Down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down.

00:21:30.880 Keep going.

00:21:31.540 What can I do?

00:21:32.620 Police have offered these safety tips.

00:21:34.720 Hey, guys.

00:21:35.560 Hey, guys.

00:21:35.960 Sit in the back seat

00:21:39.640 on the right-hand side

00:21:41.940 so you're far from the driver

00:21:44.420 and near the curb.

00:21:46.880 If you need to get out quickly...

00:21:48.820 Hey, girls. 1.00

00:21:49.380 Hey, girls. 1.00

00:21:49.940 We know there's rapists swarming you,

00:21:52.500 but if you can,

00:21:55.180 just sit where...

00:21:56.300 And watch out for people

00:21:58.820 with accents.

00:22:01.160 What, like a Newfoundland accent?

00:22:03.040 Is it a Quebec accent?

00:22:05.460 Hey, girls. 1.00

00:22:06.240 Hey, girls. 1.00

00:22:06.780 Keep your phone in your hand

00:22:08.140 or nearby, girls.

00:22:10.540 You'll be fine, dear.

00:22:13.040 They're more afraid of

00:22:14.440 being called racist

00:22:16.180 than they are afraid of

00:22:17.580 rapists.

00:22:19.760 By the way, 0.94

00:22:20.580 I mean, I've done a lot of stories

00:22:21.760 on these taxi rapes

00:22:23.300 in Halifax.

00:22:24.900 When they find the man

00:22:26.040 and they charge him,

00:22:27.340 they don't necessarily

00:22:28.340 pull his taxi license.

00:22:29.880 They let him keep picking up

00:22:30.760 more girls. 0.98

00:22:31.240 What do you think of that?

00:22:33.440 I read one case,

00:22:35.000 I think it's being appealed right now,

00:22:37.000 where a woman was found

00:22:40.200 in the car,

00:22:42.680 her pants down at her ankles, 0.88

00:22:44.920 being raped, allegedly,

00:22:47.780 by a taxi driver 0.71

00:22:49.040 whose defense was,

00:22:52.360 oh, she wanted this.

00:22:54.840 She consented to it.

00:22:56.340 She was drunk,

00:22:57.420 half passed out, 0.98

00:22:58.420 and he was having sex 0.98

00:22:59.800 with her in the car. 0.99

00:23:00.680 Because what young Halifax girl 0.98

00:23:02.720 doesn't dream

00:23:04.320 of a romantic encounter

00:23:06.520 in a dirty, smelly cab

00:23:08.820 on the side of a road?

00:23:11.140 And if I'm recalling

00:23:12.100 the case correctly,

00:23:13.160 the judge said,

00:23:13.960 well, we don't know

00:23:14.640 she didn't consent.

00:23:15.720 Because the judges

00:23:18.300 would rather tolerate 0.59

00:23:20.360 rapists than racists.

00:23:24.160 And that's how you got 0.98

00:23:25.260 yourself Rotherham.

00:23:26.420 Well, it's coming to Canada.

00:23:27.560 It's coming to Canada.

00:23:29.260 Sorry to say it, folks.

00:23:30.480 LNLGHC and Nell Leighton,

00:23:36.240 $2 says,

00:23:36.920 in London,

00:23:37.460 the stand,

00:23:38.300 he would have been

00:23:38.820 acid attacked.

00:23:39.600 You're exactly right.

00:23:41.740 Lulu Bobbs,

00:23:42.380 Ezra, have you heard

00:23:43.000 of Thomas Quiggin?

00:23:44.140 I just bought his book,

00:23:44.960 The Danger of Political Islam 1.00

00:23:45.900 to Canada.

00:23:46.740 Have you ever had him

00:23:47.360 on your show?

00:23:47.960 No, I haven't had him

00:23:48.820 on my show.

00:23:49.540 I see his work here and there.

00:23:50.860 I notice he just got published

00:23:51.900 on the Gatestone Institute.

00:23:55.260 I would like to read

00:23:56.180 his work some more.

00:23:56.880 And I would be open

00:23:58.040 to having him on the show,

00:23:58.940 of course.

00:23:59.500 I just want to get to know him

00:24:00.920 and his work a little bit better.

00:24:02.740 All right.

00:24:03.080 It's 1224.

00:24:04.620 And Jimmy Zed 49 says,

00:24:09.080 Ezra, I hear we will have

00:24:10.140 a new federal holiday.

00:24:12.220 Yeah, you might not

00:24:14.020 because it's a statutory holiday

00:24:15.500 that only government workers

00:24:17.140 will get for sure.

00:24:18.820 But it's going to be

00:24:21.100 an Aboriginal day,

00:24:22.020 but not any old Aboriginal day.

00:24:23.220 I, by the way,

00:24:24.740 am sympathetic towards

00:24:26.200 having an Aboriginal holiday

00:24:27.340 for our viewers

00:24:28.780 overseas.

00:24:29.220 That means Indians.

00:24:30.900 We don't say Indian usually,

00:24:32.640 although it's called

00:24:33.120 an Indian act in this country.

00:24:34.520 We say Aboriginal

00:24:35.120 or First Nations

00:24:36.000 or Indigenous.

00:24:39.460 The proposal, though,

00:24:40.520 is not a day celebrating

00:24:41.840 Indians, their history,

00:24:43.900 their culture,

00:24:44.320 their language,

00:24:45.020 their, you know,

00:24:47.520 geography,

00:24:48.520 their art.

00:24:49.980 That's not the proposal.

00:24:51.620 That would be interesting to me.

00:24:53.120 I would actually like to know

00:24:54.380 a little bit more

00:24:55.160 about what Aboriginal life

00:24:56.700 was like back then.

00:24:58.400 Just out of curiosity

00:24:59.320 about where I happened to live,

00:25:00.740 you know.

00:25:01.380 I think it's an essential part

00:25:02.560 of the Canadian story.

00:25:03.380 They're here first.

00:25:05.500 Ah, I'd like to know

00:25:06.140 more about it.

00:25:07.760 But that's not what

00:25:08.620 this National Day is about.

00:25:10.800 This day is not about

00:25:11.940 history.

00:25:13.500 It's not about culture.

00:25:14.900 And it's not about

00:25:15.440 the future either.

00:25:16.140 It's not about

00:25:16.740 a day where we can

00:25:19.160 talk about economic development

00:25:22.380 for Aboriginal people

00:25:23.860 who are further behind

00:25:26.760 relative to the

00:25:28.420 general population

00:25:29.440 in Canada

00:25:30.080 than African Americans 0.87

00:25:32.560 are in respect

00:25:34.180 of the general population

00:25:35.300 of America.

00:25:36.720 So Canadians love

00:25:37.700 to feel morally superior

00:25:38.960 to Americans

00:25:40.020 looking at the gap

00:25:40.980 between white

00:25:41.560 and black Americans.

00:25:42.720 But our own gap

00:25:43.780 between Aboriginal people

00:25:46.080 and white people

00:25:47.180 is much larger.

00:25:48.840 But we do something

00:25:50.140 very strategic

00:25:50.940 that they don't do

00:25:52.420 in the States.

00:25:52.920 See, in the States, 0.58

00:25:54.320 the social and economic

00:25:56.720 and crime dysfunction

00:25:57.820 that they have to deal with,

00:26:00.320 it's right in the inner cities

00:26:01.680 most of the time.

00:26:03.040 So you can't avoid it.

00:26:04.640 If you go to a big

00:26:05.760 American city,

00:26:07.120 you go to Philadelphia,

00:26:08.440 you go to parts of New York,

00:26:10.180 you go to Washington, D.C.,

00:26:11.340 with a majority black city,

00:26:12.500 you go to Baltimore, 0.95

00:26:13.520 you go to Detroit,

00:26:14.320 you see with your eyes

00:26:16.240 the result of policies

00:26:18.380 and you see the problem.

00:26:21.580 Canada, we're much more sophisticated.

00:26:23.800 We push our problem

00:26:25.220 out of sight,

00:26:26.300 out of mind,

00:26:26.760 onto Indian reserves.

00:26:27.700 Now, there are a lot

00:26:28.340 of urban Indians.

00:26:29.620 But we like to push our problems

00:26:31.820 so we don't have to be faced with them

00:26:33.240 so we can feel morally superior

00:26:35.140 to Americans.

00:26:36.240 Anyhow, my point is,

00:26:37.300 this new holiday,

00:26:38.560 it's not a celebration,

00:26:40.100 it's not a positive affirmation,

00:26:41.500 it is a holiday of shame

00:26:43.140 where Canadians will be told

00:26:47.420 about the atrocities

00:26:49.140 we've committed in the past,

00:26:50.760 including an alleged genocide

00:26:53.060 against Aboriginal people. 0.98

00:26:54.920 Of course, Canada committed

00:26:55.780 no such genocide.

00:26:57.240 Genocide,

00:26:57.800 the plain meaning of the word

00:26:58.520 is you wipe out the genes,

00:27:00.200 you wipe out the whole gene pool.

00:27:01.660 The Holocaust was an attempted genocide. 0.57

00:27:03.720 The Armenian genocide

00:27:04.840 perpetrated by the Turks

00:27:06.260 was Muslim Turks 1.00

00:27:08.200 trying to kill 0.99

00:27:08.760 all the Armenian Christians. 1.00

00:27:09.760 That's a genocide.

00:27:13.200 Canada did not commit a genocide.

00:27:15.860 There may have been

00:27:16.520 individual atrocities along the way.

00:27:18.280 I absolutely know that.

00:27:20.340 By the way,

00:27:21.040 there was wars

00:27:21.900 between the British,

00:27:24.240 the French,

00:27:24.900 and Aboriginals

00:27:25.780 on the other side

00:27:26.400 all the time.

00:27:26.860 In fact,

00:27:27.540 Indian bands,

00:27:28.380 Indian tribes,

00:27:29.400 sometimes were allies

00:27:30.800 of this or that

00:27:32.120 European army.

00:27:33.940 So, of course,

00:27:34.440 there were atrocities

00:27:35.060 on all sides,

00:27:35.720 by the way.

00:27:37.420 But why on earth

00:27:38.380 would you make

00:27:38.840 a national holiday

00:27:40.200 entrenching,

00:27:42.860 repeating,

00:27:44.040 obsessing

00:27:44.880 over failures

00:27:46.740 or negativity

00:27:47.420 instead of celebrating,

00:27:49.560 hoping,

00:27:50.140 promoting?

00:27:50.900 Isn't that what

00:27:51.360 most holidays are about?

00:27:53.900 I think they should be.

00:27:55.480 I see a couple more

00:27:56.540 super chats have come in.

00:27:57.720 Idoanovas Ossarian 0.86

00:28:03.300 says,

00:28:04.400 Speaking of criminal

00:28:05.100 activities in Toronto,

00:28:06.140 do you have any thoughts

00:28:07.200 and comments

00:28:07.740 regarding David Menzies'

00:28:08.760 recent missions

00:28:09.540 on a local Toronto

00:28:10.820 city councilor's

00:28:11.960 cockroach

00:28:12.600 comment

00:28:13.460 controversy?

00:28:15.280 Oh, yes, I do.

00:28:16.620 I was away that day,

00:28:18.620 and so my friend

00:28:19.660 David Menzies

00:28:20.500 hosted the show.

00:28:22.680 I have a show

00:28:23.400 every night

00:28:24.520 at 8 p.m.

00:28:25.040 called the Ezra LeVance Show,

00:28:27.360 just so I don't forget

00:28:28.620 what it's called.

00:28:30.500 It was named

00:28:31.480 to help me remember.

00:28:34.100 And he interviewed

00:28:34.980 a Toronto city councilor

00:28:36.340 named Giorgio Mammoliti,

00:28:37.680 who's regarded

00:28:38.440 as a conservative

00:28:39.140 force on council.

00:28:39.840 I don't think I've actually

00:28:40.620 even interviewed him before,

00:28:41.820 but he seems like a nice guy.

00:28:43.160 And he was talking about

00:28:44.520 some gang-infested

00:28:46.580 social housing

00:28:47.880 in a Toronto neighborhood.

00:28:50.640 It's the same problem

00:28:51.240 you have everywhere.

00:28:51.680 You have social housing

00:28:52.740 and you don't have

00:28:54.240 true property rights

00:28:55.320 and you have

00:28:56.180 politically correct policing

00:28:57.720 and people don't want

00:28:58.760 to get tough

00:28:59.740 with the problem

00:29:00.340 because they're called

00:29:00.860 racist or whatever.

00:29:03.440 And they were talking,

00:29:05.600 and by the way,

00:29:07.300 Toronto has had

00:29:08.000 more gun crime

00:29:08.760 this year than New York.

00:29:10.740 What do you think of that?

00:29:12.120 That's amazing.

00:29:13.400 Especially considered

00:29:14.300 we've banned guns.

00:29:17.300 I don't know why

00:29:17.660 the criminals,

00:29:18.220 maybe we just need 0.93

00:29:18.700 to double ban them

00:29:19.460 or triple ban them

00:29:20.840 and if that doesn't work,

00:29:21.640 we're going to keep

00:29:22.100 banning guns

00:29:22.780 until the criminals

00:29:23.600 get the message.

00:29:24.260 Anyways,

00:29:24.860 so Mammoliti was talking

00:29:26.100 about how when you go

00:29:27.420 to some of these parts

00:29:28.280 and ride along with the cops,

00:29:29.460 they make you wear

00:29:30.260 bulletproof vests

00:29:30.960 or stab-proof vests

00:29:31.880 because it's so dangerous.

00:29:33.760 It's a fact.

00:29:35.380 And there was one passage,

00:29:36.640 can we call up the passage?

00:29:37.720 Can we call that up?

00:29:38.360 I want to play it

00:29:39.160 and I want to go

00:29:41.560 about a minute

00:29:42.340 before he says cockroaches

00:29:44.240 because I want to prove,

00:29:46.020 because he asked

00:29:46.420 a good question,

00:29:47.120 that Mammoliti 0.89

00:29:49.740 was not calling

00:29:50.600 the inhabitants

00:29:51.340 of these social housing 0.98

00:29:53.460 projects cockroaches. 0.98

00:29:54.960 Of course not.

00:29:56.560 He was calling

00:29:57.440 the gangs

00:29:58.580 that infest

00:30:00.500 these places 0.56

00:30:01.000 cockroaches. 0.94

00:30:02.200 And the media party

00:30:03.540 has run with this,

00:30:04.960 but it's all on tape.

00:30:07.360 It's like they cut off

00:30:08.260 the tape right before

00:30:09.180 he said the words

00:30:10.340 so they could lie about it.

00:30:11.500 It reminds me

00:30:12.320 of when Donald Trump

00:30:13.380 called the brutal,

00:30:15.520 satanic gang MS-13 0.91

00:30:19.340 when he called them animals.

00:30:22.600 And the media said,

00:30:23.660 you just called 0.76

00:30:24.340 immigrants animals. 1.00

00:30:25.980 Yeah, no, no. 0.70

00:30:27.560 He was calling

00:30:28.200 this murderous gang

00:30:30.100 tattoos on their faces.

00:30:32.520 They literally, 0.99

00:30:33.380 ritually kill people. 1.00

00:30:34.720 They literally are Satanists. 1.00

00:30:36.940 He was calling them animals

00:30:38.580 and the media said,

00:30:39.360 no, he called 0.92

00:30:40.060 immigrants animals. 1.00

00:30:42.020 They're doing 0.99

00:30:42.360 the exact same thing

00:30:43.040 to Giorgio Mammoliti.

00:30:44.120 We're going to call up

00:30:44.920 the clip and we'll play it

00:30:45.860 from,

00:30:46.740 just give me a signal

00:30:47.740 when it's ready.

00:30:48.920 And I'll play it for you

00:30:50.020 to show the lie there.

00:30:50.960 I want to show that

00:30:51.920 because I know

00:30:52.600 that's a Toronto-centric question,

00:30:54.240 but the lesson

00:30:54.880 is more ubiquitous

00:30:56.280 than that.

00:30:56.640 The lesson is

00:30:57.220 you just can't trust

00:30:58.480 a word the mainstream

00:30:59.220 media has to say.

00:31:00.220 Tom Youngjohn,

00:31:03.060 two bucks,

00:31:03.460 says,

00:31:03.660 you saying Canadians

00:31:04.340 aren't morally superior.

00:31:09.040 Canadians are morally

00:31:10.560 superior than other countries

00:31:12.260 and some other countries.

00:31:14.420 We were talking about that

00:31:15.520 at the top.

00:31:21.040 We're better than some cultures. 0.99

00:31:23.100 We believe in the equality

00:31:24.020 of men and women.

00:31:24.600 We believe in the equality

00:31:25.920 of people regardless of what,

00:31:27.280 and we don't believe

00:31:28.100 in the supremacy

00:31:29.240 of one religion

00:31:30.160 over the others.

00:31:30.720 We believe in the separation 0.98

00:31:31.620 of mosque and state.

00:31:32.880 We believe in non-violent

00:31:33.820 solutions to problems.

00:31:34.760 We believe in a whole bunch

00:31:35.480 of things

00:31:36.060 that make us culturally

00:31:38.880 morally superior

00:31:40.300 than, say,

00:31:41.680 the theocracy of Iran

00:31:42.840 or Saudi Arabia

00:31:43.440 to pick two.

00:31:45.040 It doesn't mean

00:31:45.600 every individual Canadian

00:31:46.820 is morally superior

00:31:47.960 than any individual

00:31:48.780 in those countries.

00:31:49.460 In fact,

00:31:50.020 often those individuals

00:31:50.940 in those countries

00:31:51.560 are the victims

00:31:52.500 of their immoral culture, 0.99

00:31:54.160 their immoral government, 0.99

00:31:55.020 the gangs, 0.86

00:31:55.840 the theocracy.

00:31:58.560 So I'm not going

00:31:59.260 to say that any

00:31:59.800 individual Canadian

00:32:00.600 is morally superior

00:32:01.480 than any random person

00:32:03.700 from any other country.

00:32:04.620 No.

00:32:05.020 But the way we've arranged

00:32:06.020 our affairs collectively

00:32:07.140 is.

00:32:09.960 Now, I think that Canadians

00:32:11.600 can take it too far

00:32:13.100 patting themselves

00:32:13.640 on the back.

00:32:14.460 There's a lot of

00:32:14.960 anti-American sneering,

00:32:16.940 and that's what I was

00:32:17.560 alluding to before.

00:32:18.500 We have our own

00:32:19.200 ethnic dysfunction 1.00

00:32:21.400 economically

00:32:22.780 that we have to address,

00:32:23.940 social dysfunction,

00:32:25.020 and it's not 0.98

00:32:26.420 urban blacks,

00:32:27.540 it's aboriginal people,

00:32:29.000 and we have not

00:32:29.520 solved those,

00:32:30.040 and all this

00:32:30.520 fake holiday will do

00:32:32.800 is be a placebo.

00:32:33.840 It doesn't solve

00:32:34.360 the problems.

00:32:34.840 We still have

00:32:35.320 an Indian Act

00:32:36.040 in Canada

00:32:36.700 that makes it illegal

00:32:37.840 for aboriginal people

00:32:38.860 to own property

00:32:39.560 on their own reserve.

00:32:40.220 Did you know

00:32:40.640 that if you're an Indian

00:32:41.940 living on an Indian 1.00

00:32:42.760 reserve in Canada,

00:32:43.500 you do not have the right

00:32:44.300 to own your own house?

00:32:45.280 You can't sell it,

00:32:46.140 you can't mortgage it,

00:32:46.980 you can't buy it,

00:32:47.760 you don't even have the right

00:32:48.440 to do your own

00:32:48.880 last will and testament.

00:32:50.080 The Indian ban 0.99

00:32:50.760 gets their final say

00:32:51.820 over that.

00:32:52.460 If you're a farmer

00:32:53.120 in some parts of Canada

00:32:56.400 on an Indian ban,

00:32:57.960 you need the government's

00:32:58.800 permission before you're

00:32:59.500 allowed to sell your produce

00:33:00.440 off the reserve.

00:33:01.760 The thinking when this law

00:33:02.980 was written decades ago,

00:33:04.700 century ago,

00:33:05.360 whatever,

00:33:06.580 was that we can't trust

00:33:07.880 aboriginal people

00:33:08.820 to make decisions

00:33:09.480 on their own

00:33:09.900 because they'll just be

00:33:10.560 hornswoggled by some 0.95

00:33:12.040 unscrupulous traitor, 0.96

00:33:12.980 so we have to protect them 0.96

00:33:15.000 as if they're children.

00:33:16.020 That law is still

00:33:16.780 on the books

00:33:17.260 while we're talking

00:33:17.900 about bringing in

00:33:18.960 a new holiday.

00:33:19.620 How about fix that law first?

00:33:21.720 Are we ready

00:33:22.380 with the Giorgio Mammoletti clip?

00:33:24.320 No.

00:33:24.780 All right,

00:33:25.100 let's abandon that.

00:33:26.020 We missed the moment.

00:33:28.060 Have we,

00:33:29.000 have I missed any super chats?

00:33:30.300 Let me ask you that.

00:33:32.640 Have any super chat?

00:33:34.180 No,

00:33:34.460 I think I've got them all.

00:33:35.720 All right,

00:33:36.380 it is 12.33.

00:33:37.720 We're halfway down the show.

00:33:38.780 Let's keep going.

00:33:39.420 I'm going to read

00:33:40.060 some comments.

00:33:43.560 I'm just going to read

00:33:43.960 some regular comments

00:33:44.900 if you want to put

00:33:46.340 some super chats on there.

00:33:47.320 I'll see those right away.

00:33:48.860 Shane McSee,

00:33:50.020 is Ezra also Jewish?

00:33:52.040 Yes,

00:33:52.300 I am.

00:33:53.780 Steve Garai,

00:33:54.700 if he's Iranian,

00:33:55.520 he's obviously a former,

00:33:57.260 he's now secular,

00:33:58.320 a Shia Muslim,

00:33:59.320 not Sunni.

00:34:00.040 This also means,

00:34:00.740 according to their code,

00:34:01.680 that he can now be 0.99

00:34:02.460 assassinated by any Muslim. 1.00

00:34:04.100 Good troll, 0.99

00:34:04.920 brave.

00:34:05.540 Well,

00:34:05.760 that's the thing,

00:34:06.320 is that the punishment

00:34:07.400 for apostasy 0.96

00:34:08.740 in Islam is death. 1.00

00:34:10.340 Apostasy is when you 0.55

00:34:11.120 quit a religion.

00:34:12.240 You're not allowed to quit.

00:34:15.340 Focus on Yahweh, 0.78

00:34:17.340 chips in $5 Canadian.

00:34:18.660 Thank you very much.

00:34:19.600 If you have a question

00:34:21.060 you'd like to put to me,

00:34:22.580 feel free,

00:34:23.160 and I'll make sure

00:34:23.740 to keep an eye peeled for it.

00:34:28.660 Fast Heinz 039 says,

00:34:31.360 forest fires turning

00:34:32.080 day to night in central BC.

00:34:33.760 Yeah,

00:34:33.900 I saw that.

00:34:35.360 That looks very ominous,

00:34:37.720 the forest fires there,

00:34:39.340 and I hope everybody

00:34:40.060 stays safe.

00:34:42.840 I see two super chats

00:34:44.640 from Focus on Yahweh.

00:34:45.720 Thank you very much

00:34:46.480 for those.

00:34:47.420 You can also write a comment

00:34:48.940 or a question,

00:34:50.340 and I will do my best

00:34:51.280 to answer it,

00:34:52.360 so feel free to do that.

00:34:55.360 D. Mihalaki says,

00:34:57.240 what do you think

00:34:57.720 of the Three C's initiative?

00:34:59.700 I'm sorry,

00:35:00.260 I don't think I've heard of that.

00:35:01.460 I just don't know

00:35:02.440 what that is,

00:35:03.100 so I can't answer.

00:35:04.160 Let me read some more here.

00:35:11.280 Brian 3934,

00:35:13.160 will Bernier be removed?

00:35:15.440 Talking about Maxime Bernier,

00:35:17.160 the Canadian politician,

00:35:19.100 member of parliament

00:35:19.780 from Quebec,

00:35:21.380 who placed an extremely

00:35:22.800 close second place

00:35:23.880 to Andrew Scheer

00:35:24.980 in the Tory leadership

00:35:30.440 last year,

00:35:31.000 and the trouble is

00:35:32.320 because it was so close

00:35:34.600 and because Maxime Bernier

00:35:36.120 in the last week

00:35:36.660 has not actually

00:35:37.140 done anything wrong,

00:35:39.280 he hasn't contradicted

00:35:40.080 party policy,

00:35:40.960 he has not attacked

00:35:41.660 anyone in the party,

00:35:42.680 he's just criticized

00:35:43.700 Justin Trudeau's obsession

00:35:44.920 with that hollow phrase,

00:35:46.940 diversity is our strength.

00:35:48.960 How can Andrew Scheer

00:35:51.040 fire him?

00:35:51.520 For what cause?

00:35:52.820 For attacking

00:35:53.640 a fellow Tory?

00:35:55.560 He's not.

00:35:55.960 He's attacked

00:35:56.480 Justin Trudeau.

00:35:58.480 For contradicting

00:35:59.360 party policy?

00:36:00.120 Why?

00:36:00.700 By saying there's

00:36:01.340 such a thing as

00:36:01.860 too far,

00:36:02.520 too much diversity?

00:36:03.980 It's not really

00:36:04.400 a party policy.

00:36:05.300 It might be tonally

00:36:06.680 something the party

00:36:07.500 doesn't love,

00:36:08.060 but I think most

00:36:09.640 conservatives would

00:36:10.220 agree with that.

00:36:11.240 I see a couple more

00:36:11.780 super chats.

00:36:13.320 Tom Youngjohn,

00:36:14.140 why is Israel 0.95

00:36:14.820 so damn important?

00:36:17.140 Well, it's important 0.78

00:36:17.740 to the people

00:36:18.040 who live there.

00:36:18.920 It's important

00:36:19.400 to people around

00:36:20.020 the world

00:36:20.320 who have a religious

00:36:21.160 connection,

00:36:22.580 Christians to the 1.00

00:36:25.000 birthplace

00:36:25.600 and where Jesus lived,

00:36:27.400 Jews,

00:36:28.720 that's where

00:36:29.440 Mount Zion is,

00:36:30.340 that's where

00:36:30.580 the Jewish

00:36:30.940 temples were,

00:36:31.940 that's where

00:36:32.260 the modern

00:36:32.580 Jewish state is.

00:36:34.160 And it is also

00:36:35.820 the third holiest

00:36:36.580 place for Islam

00:36:37.960 after Mecca 0.91

00:36:39.200 and Medina.

00:36:41.200 So there's a

00:36:41.720 religious answer,

00:36:43.000 there's a political

00:36:43.480 answer too,

00:36:44.240 it's a western

00:36:45.280 style liberal

00:36:45.920 democracy in a

00:36:47.320 region that's

00:36:49.360 just all

00:36:49.740 dictatorships.

00:36:51.380 It's a proxy

00:36:52.360 for military

00:36:53.100 battles.

00:36:53.760 I mean,

00:36:54.060 in the 1980s,

00:36:56.040 for example,

00:36:57.320 the new generation

00:36:58.160 of American

00:36:58.720 fighter jets,

00:36:59.320 F-15s and F-16s,

00:37:00.980 fought against

00:37:01.640 Russian fighter jets

00:37:02.840 of the Syrians 0.80

00:37:05.120 in the Bacar Valley.

00:37:06.260 And I think,

00:37:06.920 going from memory,

00:37:07.580 they shot down

00:37:08.180 80 Syrian jets

00:37:10.100 with no losses.

00:37:11.580 It's really

00:37:12.380 a proxy war.

00:37:15.000 It was during

00:37:15.480 the Cold War

00:37:15.940 between East and West.

00:37:16.880 So it's not just

00:37:17.580 itself,

00:37:18.780 it's also,

00:37:19.260 I mean,

00:37:19.360 to this day,

00:37:20.380 Iran has its 0.97

00:37:21.800 proxies in Syria,

00:37:23.500 Russia is in Syria, 0.88

00:37:24.860 America is allied

00:37:26.440 with Israel,

00:37:27.360 America was with,

00:37:28.760 like there's just

00:37:29.220 so many other

00:37:31.200 fingers in it.

00:37:32.300 So that's my

00:37:32.920 attempt at an

00:37:33.480 answer there.

00:37:36.300 I see another

00:37:37.000 super chat here,

00:37:38.180 Colin Buckley,

00:37:38.960 well done,

00:37:39.420 the rebel,

00:37:39.940 for reporting

00:37:40.420 real news,

00:37:41.020 UK news is done.

00:37:42.180 Any updates

00:37:42.700 on Tommy?

00:37:43.820 Yeah,

00:37:44.220 I spoke to Tommy

00:37:44.700 this morning,

00:37:45.180 in fact.

00:37:46.100 I mean,

00:37:46.260 there was a while

00:37:47.420 there I was talking

00:37:47.880 to him every day.

00:37:48.640 I'm not calling

00:37:49.360 him every day now,

00:37:50.380 because he's still

00:37:52.760 on holiday with

00:37:53.620 his family.

00:37:54.540 I see,

00:37:55.220 though,

00:37:55.560 and I was talking

00:37:56.160 to him a bit

00:37:56.440 about it this morning,

00:37:57.520 that a reporter

00:37:59.600 for the Daily News

00:38:01.840 went there

00:38:03.220 and went to the

00:38:05.760 island where

00:38:06.200 Tommy's on vacation,

00:38:07.120 like flew there

00:38:08.080 just to take photos

00:38:09.500 of Tommy and his

00:38:10.260 family.

00:38:11.280 And Tommy detected

00:38:12.120 this guy very quickly.

00:38:12.920 It wasn't just one guy,

00:38:13.860 there was like a team

00:38:14.460 of them.

00:38:15.760 And Tommy accosted

00:38:16.920 the guy and said,

00:38:17.420 why are you

00:38:17.780 endangering my family?

00:38:19.060 Why are you

00:38:19.560 taking photos

00:38:20.220 of my wife and kids?

00:38:21.480 Why are you

00:38:22.020 exposing them?

00:38:22.980 And Tommy,

00:38:24.060 as usual,

00:38:24.840 filmed that on his phone

00:38:25.860 and he uploaded

00:38:26.820 that to his

00:38:27.880 YouTube page.

00:38:28.480 You can find it there.

00:38:31.500 And the story

00:38:32.320 is on the Daily Mail.

00:38:34.200 It's already there.

00:38:35.340 I saw it,

00:38:36.380 pictures of Tommy.

00:38:39.180 Yeah,

00:38:39.440 Tommy was in prison

00:38:40.200 for two and a half months

00:38:41.000 and he went on a holiday

00:38:41.920 with his family

00:38:43.540 to reconnect with him

00:38:44.540 and he went

00:38:46.640 off the coast of Spain.

00:38:51.160 It was actually

00:38:52.040 a holiday he had booked

00:38:52.980 a long time ago

00:38:54.580 and he got out of prison

00:38:55.740 two days before

00:38:56.320 the holiday began.

00:38:57.120 Talk about great timing.

00:39:00.220 So they went to,

00:39:01.920 I don't know why

00:39:02.720 that's newsworthy,

00:39:03.780 really.

00:39:04.660 I don't quite know

00:39:05.740 the thinking there.

00:39:06.880 What's interesting to me

00:39:07.840 is how the UK media,

00:39:09.580 especially the tabloid media,

00:39:10.700 obsessed about Tommy

00:39:12.120 as much as anyone,

00:39:13.120 but for some reason

00:39:14.180 they haven't gotten

00:39:14.760 around to writing yet

00:39:15.660 about his amazing

00:39:16.760 court of appeal victory

00:39:17.720 that vindicated him

00:39:19.380 and condemned

00:39:20.120 the legal system.

00:39:21.400 For some reason

00:39:22.000 they haven't gotten

00:39:22.520 around to writing

00:39:23.020 about his torture

00:39:23.720 in prison.

00:39:24.260 I say torture advisedly.

00:39:25.940 He was physically

00:39:26.740 and psychologically

00:39:27.680 abused in prison.

00:39:29.600 So they'll fly,

00:39:30.880 imagine the money

00:39:31.560 of flying a whole team

00:39:33.980 to a hotel

00:39:35.680 in the Canary Islands,

00:39:38.740 finding him,

00:39:40.320 like scouring

00:39:41.100 the whole island,

00:39:41.960 finding him,

00:39:42.900 and then taking pictures

00:39:44.120 of his wife and kids.

00:39:45.460 Is that a $10,000 exercise?

00:39:48.040 $20,000?

00:39:49.040 Why?

00:39:49.960 They're just weird.

00:39:51.440 They're creepy, 0.99

00:39:52.100 obsessive stalkers. 0.89

00:39:55.580 Let me catch up

00:39:56.620 here a little bit.

00:39:58.160 Rutger Hodike says, 0.99

00:40:00.180 shut up and take my money. 1.00

00:40:01.140 Well, that's very nice 0.99

00:40:01.740 of you to say.

00:40:02.420 I won't shut up though

00:40:03.480 because other people

00:40:04.040 want to hear me yap

00:40:04.700 for at least 20 minutes.

00:40:05.460 Bill Hicks,

00:40:06.580 $7 Australian dollars.

00:40:07.680 Thank you.

00:40:08.320 Bill, feel free

00:40:09.220 to make a comment.

00:40:12.020 Ingrid Warner,

00:40:13.300 $5 Canadian.

00:40:14.220 Hey Ezra,

00:40:14.720 what are your thoughts

00:40:15.460 about Tesla

00:40:16.120 suing the Ontario government?

00:40:21.060 Well, to explain

00:40:23.360 for our viewers

00:40:23.940 who don't know

00:40:24.980 the background,

00:40:25.740 and I haven't read

00:40:26.620 the lawsuit,

00:40:27.480 I just read the headlines.

00:40:29.200 In Ontario,

00:40:30.480 as part of some

00:40:31.240 green scheme,

00:40:32.380 some virtue signaling,

00:40:34.500 the government of Ontario

00:40:36.740 would give a massive

00:40:37.940 subsidy to anyone

00:40:40.420 who bought an electric car.

00:40:42.420 And there are some

00:40:43.460 electric cars

00:40:44.220 that are around

00:40:44.660 $40,000, $50,000.

00:40:46.720 I mean, I guess the Prius

00:40:48.640 gets some sort of a rebate,

00:40:50.840 I think.

00:40:52.160 But the pure electric cars

00:40:53.620 like the Tesla

00:40:54.320 would get rebates,

00:40:55.660 I'm going from memory here,

00:40:56.880 of up to $14,000.

00:40:58.500 I'm going from memory

00:40:59.100 so that might be wrong.

00:41:00.040 Forgive me

00:41:00.340 if I'm a little bit wrong.

00:41:01.160 There we go.

00:41:04.300 Elon Musk versus

00:41:04.980 Doug Ford.

00:41:05.560 Tesla files lawsuit

00:41:06.480 against Ontario government

00:41:07.500 over electric vehicle

00:41:08.520 rebate program.

00:41:09.940 Tesla claims

00:41:10.620 it was explicitly

00:41:11.580 excluded from

00:41:12.240 Ontario's rebate

00:41:13.140 transition plan,

00:41:14.460 leaving many buyers

00:41:15.280 short $14,000.

00:41:16.360 Okay, so I was right

00:41:17.040 on the number there.

00:41:18.280 I'll just read

00:41:18.660 the first sentence.

00:41:20.580 Elon Musk,

00:41:21.080 Tesla Motors Canada

00:41:22.000 has filed a lawsuit

00:41:23.640 against the Ontario government

00:41:25.140 alleging it was a subject

00:41:26.340 of unjustified targeting

00:41:27.840 when the province

00:41:28.760 canceled its electric

00:41:29.920 vehicle rebate program

00:41:30.900 last month.

00:41:32.680 Ta-da.

00:41:33.300 The automaker claims

00:41:34.080 the government's decision

00:41:34.820 left hundreds of customers

00:41:36.040 ineligible for rebates

00:41:37.160 they expected to receive

00:41:38.380 when they ordered

00:41:39.320 their vehicles.

00:41:40.400 Blah, bitty, blah.

00:41:41.220 This managed before

00:41:41.860 the courts.

00:41:42.480 Here's my view on it.

00:41:45.280 Teslas are very expensive.

00:41:46.860 Like, they're extremely expensive.

00:41:48.800 And not just that.

00:41:50.080 The people who buy them,

00:41:51.380 they're rich.

00:41:52.280 And not just that. 0.95

00:41:54.260 They're snooty snobs 0.91

00:41:55.720 rubbing it in the face 0.69

00:41:56.680 of their neighbors.

00:41:57.880 You know, I used to have

00:41:59.260 a neighbor in Toronto

00:42:00.100 who had two tiny little 0.99

00:42:02.440 windmills on his roof.

00:42:04.860 They were so lame.

00:42:06.880 Because that's not

00:42:07.880 going to power anything.

00:42:09.520 And every morning

00:42:10.840 when I would take my kids,

00:42:12.000 get them in the car

00:42:12.620 and go to school,

00:42:13.120 I'd say,

00:42:13.340 kids, look at those windmills.

00:42:14.520 Are they spinning or no?

00:42:15.760 Every morning.

00:42:16.320 Because I would see 1.00

00:42:16.860 these stupid windmills. 1.00

00:42:19.580 And most of the time 1.00

00:42:20.660 they weren't.

00:42:21.040 And I would always

00:42:21.540 show my kids that.

00:42:22.940 Because the point is,

00:42:24.920 it's just a virtue signal.

00:42:26.660 This guy with the windmills

00:42:28.060 also had solar panels.

00:42:29.460 It's snowy.

00:42:30.420 It's cloudy.

00:42:31.500 They were not designed to work.

00:42:35.560 They were designed

00:42:36.400 so everyone on the street

00:42:38.360 would know

00:42:39.340 that this guy

00:42:41.200 was morally superior.

00:42:42.680 He spent,

00:42:43.240 I don't know,

00:42:44.240 50 grand,

00:42:45.140 100 grand or more

00:42:46.420 on this whole roof thing

00:42:48.440 that I know didn't work.

00:42:50.880 And when it worked,

00:42:52.220 full tilt,

00:42:53.540 it was probably only

00:42:54.520 saving him a few dollars.

00:42:56.720 It was not an economic investment.

00:42:58.640 It was not an electrical investment.

00:43:00.140 It was not a true investment

00:43:01.300 of any sort

00:43:01.880 other than in showing

00:43:03.480 the neighborhood

00:43:04.720 that he was better than us.

00:43:08.460 Now, the Tesla could be cool.

00:43:10.000 I've never driven one.

00:43:10.840 It could be fun to drive.

00:43:11.940 So there could be

00:43:12.700 a non-virtue signaling reason

00:43:15.060 to buy a Tesla.

00:43:16.240 I'm skeptical.

00:43:17.460 I think it's like being a vegan

00:43:19.360 or on a gluten-free diet.

00:43:21.660 I think that

00:43:22.720 it's almost like a law.

00:43:24.500 If you have a Tesla,

00:43:25.880 you have to tell someone

00:43:27.320 within the first five minutes

00:43:28.940 of meeting them

00:43:29.580 or you break the first rule

00:43:31.220 of the Tesla club,

00:43:32.340 which is,

00:43:32.800 it's the opposite of Fight Club.

00:43:34.260 First rule of the Fight Club,

00:43:35.600 don't talk about Fight Club.

00:43:37.100 First rule of the Tesla club is

00:43:38.440 if you don't tell someone

00:43:39.540 within five minutes

00:43:40.220 you've got a Tesla,

00:43:41.180 they take it back.

00:43:43.460 So you've got these rich snobs 1.00

00:43:46.480 who aren't saving

00:43:48.140 any electricity,

00:43:49.680 who are spending

00:43:50.240 80, 90, 100 grand

00:43:51.420 on a Tesla,

00:43:52.200 and they want Joe Lunchbucket

00:43:53.620 on the assembly line

00:43:54.580 to pay taxes

00:43:56.100 to give them

00:43:57.040 a $14,000 credit.

00:43:58.860 Tell you what,

00:43:59.560 virtue signal

00:44:00.120 on your own money.

00:44:00.900 That's the whole point.

00:44:02.500 That's the whole point.

00:44:03.340 Take your own money

00:44:04.480 and if you want to spend it

00:44:05.400 on a vanity project

00:44:06.340 to show your neighbors

00:44:07.700 how better you are than them,

00:44:08.880 don't expect them

00:44:09.560 to pay for it.

00:44:10.280 That's the rub.

00:44:12.640 And I'm sure

00:44:13.600 that I subsidize

00:44:14.520 my neighbors' 1.00

00:44:15.160 stupid windmills. 1.00

00:44:16.200 I'm sure of it. 1.00

00:44:20.060 Alan Ansell,

00:44:20.860 I asked you a while back

00:44:21.780 about making a rebel flag.

00:44:23.220 I've got a couple made up

00:44:24.020 and I'm flying one.

00:44:24.920 I'd like to send you one.

00:44:25.780 Where would I send it?

00:44:27.060 Well, that's very nice.

00:44:28.920 A rebel flag.

00:44:31.360 Can you guys Google

00:44:32.460 our Eglinton Dufferin PO box?

00:44:36.320 You know,

00:44:36.480 at the bottom of our,

00:44:37.320 I think our address

00:44:38.580 is on our website.

00:44:40.720 It's at the Eglinton Dufferin

00:44:42.720 post office.

00:44:47.800 Can you find that

00:44:48.780 and I put it up

00:44:49.380 on the screen

00:44:49.920 or something

00:44:50.400 or even,

00:44:52.080 Alan,

00:44:52.700 thank you very much

00:44:53.460 by the way.

00:44:54.800 I don't know

00:44:55.420 our mailing address

00:44:56.300 offhand.

00:44:56.880 It's a post,

00:44:57.460 there it is.

00:44:58.820 No,

00:44:58.980 way at the bottom.

00:44:59.560 There it is.

00:45:00.380 Yeah.

00:45:00.500 PO box 61056

00:45:04.700 Eglinton Dufferin RO.

00:45:08.560 Toronto,

00:45:09.100 Ontario.

00:45:09.480 So thank you.

00:45:10.180 Yes,

00:45:10.400 please.

00:45:10.820 I'd love to see a flag.

00:45:11.800 That's great.

00:45:13.380 Chicken Permission 105 says,

00:45:16.140 the MSM and other leftists

00:45:17.700 are afraid of you,

00:45:18.500 not of who you are,

00:45:19.680 but what you do

00:45:20.420 and what you do,

00:45:22.560 but of who you can be

00:45:24.220 and what you're capable of.

00:45:25.480 Well,

00:45:25.640 thank you.

00:45:25.980 That's a very hopeful

00:45:26.760 way of phrasing things

00:45:27.620 and thank you for the five bucks.

00:45:29.040 Sometimes we're very,

00:45:30.680 very good

00:45:31.060 and sometimes we're not

00:45:32.180 as good as we should be

00:45:33.060 and that's because

00:45:34.080 we're flawed human beings

00:45:35.120 and we're amateurs

00:45:36.920 and we're sort of doing this

00:45:38.360 and it's like,

00:45:40.060 you know,

00:45:41.320 a phrase,

00:45:41.920 I remember when we launched

00:45:42.800 The Rebel,

00:45:43.320 literally one day,

00:45:44.420 one business day

00:45:45.060 after the Sunday's Network

00:45:46.620 folded.

00:45:48.320 Talk about building

00:45:49.220 an airplane

00:45:49.680 as you're taxiing

00:45:50.540 down the runway.

00:45:51.520 I mean,

00:45:52.180 we started with no money

00:45:53.700 other than the severance

00:45:54.860 that we got from the sun.

00:45:56.520 We started with no equipment

00:45:58.440 we started with nothing

00:46:00.560 and we just did it

00:46:02.320 and we're sort of

00:46:03.500 been trying to catch up

00:46:04.700 ever since.

00:46:05.700 I mean,

00:46:05.920 there's about five

00:46:06.740 major things I would change

00:46:08.240 at The Rebel

00:46:08.720 if I could ever catch our breath.

00:46:11.640 Improvements I would make,

00:46:13.380 positions I would hire for

00:46:15.060 if we had the dough.

00:46:18.900 But I've been saying that

00:46:20.080 for three and a half years.

00:46:20.820 If I have the dough,

00:46:21.480 I'd do this.

00:46:22.320 If I had the dough,

00:46:23.140 I'd do that.

00:46:23.660 But we just don't have the dough.

00:46:24.640 Unlike there's this

00:46:27.620 fake news site

00:46:28.760 called Press Progress,

00:46:29.780 they're a branch plant

00:46:31.300 of the NDP.

00:46:34.240 There's other fake news

00:46:35.840 sites out there.

00:46:36.640 I mean,

00:46:36.740 obviously there's

00:46:37.440 the government broadcaster

00:46:38.520 fake news site

00:46:39.220 called the CBC.

00:46:40.080 Massive.

00:46:40.540 They get $1.5 billion

00:46:41.540 a year.

00:46:42.900 There's other corporate site.

00:46:44.040 Vox.

00:46:44.900 I didn't know that Vox

00:46:46.160 was partly owned.

00:46:46.820 I think it's by NBC

00:46:47.620 who put in hundreds

00:46:48.600 of millions of dollars.

00:46:49.440 So we're sort of

00:46:50.380 the opposite of that,

00:46:51.240 aren't we?

00:46:51.560 Like we have to make our money

00:46:53.380 in dribs and drabs.

00:46:55.100 That's why we're

00:46:55.800 that's why we're

00:46:57.740 selling lapel pins

00:47:00.720 for 50 bucks.

00:47:02.220 That's how we do it.

00:47:03.220 That's why Alex Jones

00:47:03.880 sells vitamins.

00:47:04.940 I mean,

00:47:05.320 laugh if you like,

00:47:06.580 but how else

00:47:08.480 you're supposed to get money,

00:47:09.480 especially if YouTube,

00:47:10.280 Facebook, Google,

00:47:11.160 Twitter shut you down.

00:47:17.360 Pastor Cinqua,

00:47:19.100 I'm calling the RCMP

00:47:20.380 as for if you take that

00:47:21.440 flag or that glag.

00:47:24.340 I think you probably

00:47:25.160 meant flag.

00:47:26.940 All right.

00:47:28.360 Go ahead.

00:47:32.100 Recycled Heart DM.

00:47:33.600 Ezra,

00:47:33.960 do you support Faith Goldie

00:47:35.160 in her run for mayor 0.94

00:47:36.140 of Toronto?

00:47:37.280 No, I don't.

00:47:38.560 And I haven't felt

00:47:40.120 the need to weigh in on it

00:47:41.020 because I think

00:47:42.180 her candidacy

00:47:43.080 is very marginal.

00:47:44.280 I'd be surprised

00:47:45.000 if she gets 5%

00:47:46.000 of the vote.

00:47:46.380 I don't think

00:47:46.700 it's a serious campaign.

00:47:48.000 I think it's

00:47:48.540 a Twitter vanity project.

00:47:51.440 I don't think

00:47:52.540 she has a campaign office.

00:47:53.520 She just has a mailbox

00:47:54.160 in the post office

00:47:55.060 like we do.

00:47:56.680 I don't even know

00:47:57.380 if she has a campaign manager.

00:47:58.580 It's just a Twitter campaign

00:47:59.520 with a website.

00:48:01.120 And so I don't think

00:48:01.760 it's serious to begin with.

00:48:02.900 I don't think

00:48:03.280 it's built to win.

00:48:04.360 I don't think

00:48:05.120 that she has the

00:48:06.300 track record of,

00:48:09.340 you know,

00:48:09.760 one would look for

00:48:10.460 and the mayor.

00:48:10.940 She runs as a city councilor.

00:48:14.340 She doesn't know

00:48:15.140 all the issues.

00:48:15.960 I mean,

00:48:16.140 I've been to her website

00:48:17.360 and I've read her points

00:48:19.020 and, you know,

00:48:20.020 they're great little

00:48:21.660 editorial talking points

00:48:22.940 but it's a meme campaign.

00:48:25.560 So it's a,

00:48:27.080 I'd probably call it

00:48:28.280 a stunt in a good way.

00:48:30.100 Like, I'm not against stunts.

00:48:31.400 We do plenty of stunts

00:48:32.240 here at The Rebel.

00:48:33.980 It's a virtual campaign.

00:48:35.220 I mean,

00:48:35.380 she decided to run

00:48:36.340 after taking a Twitter poll.

00:48:38.200 What does that even mean?

00:48:39.300 I mean,

00:48:40.040 how many of those poll results

00:48:42.180 weren't even from Toronto?

00:48:44.880 Now,

00:48:45.340 I've been asked,

00:48:45.960 why don't you cover her campaign?

00:48:47.280 Well,

00:48:47.440 we will cover her campaign

00:48:48.680 as we would cover

00:48:49.340 any other news

00:48:50.180 but running a vanity campaign

00:48:54.400 that's not even

00:48:55.000 going to get 5%

00:48:55.780 that's not news

00:48:56.620 by definition.

00:48:57.660 There are a lot

00:48:58.320 of vanity candidates

00:48:59.120 who are running

00:48:59.700 just for fun,

00:49:00.720 just for some PR

00:49:01.660 and we wouldn't cover them.

00:49:04.620 We don't even,

00:49:05.000 I mean,

00:49:05.300 covering the Toronto

00:49:05.940 mayor's races

00:49:06.480 wouldn't even be

00:49:07.180 a big thing for us anyways.

00:49:09.300 I mean,

00:49:09.620 it's Canada's biggest city

00:49:10.700 but it's not

00:49:11.400 a defining political battle

00:49:13.960 for this country

00:49:14.780 so I don't think

00:49:15.260 we would cover it

00:49:15.680 to begin with.

00:49:16.400 And of course,

00:49:16.800 there's the matter

00:49:17.220 that we sacked Faith

00:49:18.420 for cause

00:49:19.800 and that doesn't mean

00:49:21.620 we wouldn't cover her.

00:49:23.020 I mean,

00:49:23.680 we have fired other people

00:49:25.060 in the past

00:49:25.600 and there's some people

00:49:26.740 we don't get along

00:49:28.580 with great.

00:49:29.360 We still report on them

00:49:30.540 if they're doing

00:49:31.000 something legit

00:49:31.820 and if Faith

00:49:34.020 were somehow

00:49:34.940 to get some momentum

00:49:36.780 or were somehow

00:49:37.540 to catch on fire

00:49:39.100 with actual Torontonians,

00:49:41.540 I'm sure we would cover it.

00:49:45.600 But to cover

00:49:46.780 a vanity Twitter campaign

00:49:48.500 with no boots

00:49:49.560 on the ground

00:49:50.220 now

00:49:51.340 it would be

00:49:52.460 tantamount

00:49:53.220 to being

00:49:53.780 a PR wing

00:49:54.940 for it

00:49:55.300 because it's not real.

00:49:56.400 It's not real.

00:49:57.740 And it wasn't,

00:49:59.240 it was not

00:50:00.060 conceived

00:50:01.980 in any real

00:50:02.920 or serious way.

00:50:03.820 It was,

00:50:04.640 you know,

00:50:04.860 the latest thing

00:50:05.800 from Faith

00:50:06.560 and,

00:50:07.520 you know,

00:50:07.680 I mean,

00:50:07.880 I like,

00:50:08.780 I've talked to her

00:50:09.900 twice,

00:50:10.700 I think,

00:50:11.020 since she left us

00:50:11.860 and I hope,

00:50:14.180 I hope she has

00:50:15.340 a happy future

00:50:16.060 and gets on the right track.

00:50:17.500 I don't think

00:50:18.100 doing a kamikaze run

00:50:20.160 for mayor

00:50:20.540 where she's going

00:50:21.060 to get 5%

00:50:21.880 at best

00:50:22.560 is the right path.

00:50:25.440 But I don't want

00:50:26.500 to indulge in gossip.

00:50:27.480 I think you asked

00:50:28.000 a legitimate question

00:50:28.920 and I think

00:50:29.720 I gave a legitimate answer.

00:50:33.220 Faith was my favorite

00:50:34.260 employee,

00:50:34.880 absolutely.

00:50:36.200 And she was

00:50:37.180 a great reporter

00:50:37.980 and a great team player

00:50:39.800 here until

00:50:40.500 at that last

00:50:41.600 shocking moment

00:50:42.240 where she went

00:50:42.780 on a neo-Nazi

00:50:43.600 broadcast,

00:50:45.080 kept it secret

00:50:45.760 from me

00:50:46.380 for most of a week,

00:50:48.540 told me only

00:50:49.220 when it was about

00:50:49.840 to be revealed

00:50:50.660 in the national newspaper

00:50:51.700 and we just

00:50:52.940 can't abide that.

00:50:54.120 So we let her go

00:50:55.400 for that.

00:50:55.960 We fired her. 1.00

00:50:57.720 I had hoped

00:50:58.520 that she could amend

00:50:59.360 and come back

00:51:00.040 but she doesn't want to.

00:51:02.760 I wish her no ill will.

00:51:04.680 I just,

00:51:05.480 we're not going to cover

00:51:06.460 a vanity campaign

00:51:08.180 that's going to get

00:51:08.780 a few percent

00:51:09.340 and I don't even think

00:51:11.440 she'd be a good mayor

00:51:12.140 if she won

00:51:12.520 because she has

00:51:13.120 no management skills,

00:51:13.960 she has no experience.

00:51:17.580 I mean,

00:51:18.000 it would be like saying,

00:51:18.780 Ezra,

00:51:19.000 do you want to be

00:51:19.420 prime minister?

00:51:20.000 Well,

00:51:20.860 maybe as a dream,

00:51:23.340 but I'm not,

00:51:24.000 I'm not a cabinet minister,

00:51:25.200 I've never been an MP,

00:51:26.040 to take someone

00:51:26.700 and put them

00:51:27.300 in a top job

00:51:28.300 is not right.

00:51:30.060 I mean,

00:51:30.260 we see what happens

00:51:31.100 with Justin Trudeau

00:51:32.180 who actually had

00:51:33.320 a term or two

00:51:34.300 as an MP first.

00:51:35.840 So,

00:51:36.680 it's,

00:51:37.160 it's a joke

00:51:37.720 campaign

00:51:38.500 and what can I say?

00:51:40.620 You know,

00:51:43.160 I'm going to,

00:51:43.580 I'm going to stop

00:51:44.700 criticizing

00:51:46.520 because I don't mean

00:51:47.120 to over-criticize.

00:51:52.920 Christopher Chung,

00:51:54.580 what's your take

00:51:55.520 on Alex Jones

00:51:56.140 being banned?

00:51:56.820 Well,

00:51:57.120 I've had a lot

00:51:57.700 to say about it.

00:51:58.380 I've done several shows

00:51:59.260 on it if you want

00:51:59.960 to see those.

00:52:02.280 I think that Alex Jones

00:52:03.500 is a bit of a wild man.

00:52:04.620 He's very,

00:52:05.160 very entertaining.

00:52:06.040 I've probably watched

00:52:06.880 in my entire life

00:52:07.840 maybe two hours

00:52:09.080 worth of his stuff.

00:52:09.720 I see him more in memes.

00:52:11.560 He's very,

00:52:12.060 he's very memeable.

00:52:13.480 He's very funny.

00:52:14.500 He's got a lot of schtick.

00:52:15.960 He's got a lot of sayings.

00:52:17.120 He's got a style.

00:52:17.820 You got that gravelly voice.

00:52:19.420 I,

00:52:19.700 I showed you the other day.

00:52:21.080 I think it was last week.

00:52:22.240 I showed you

00:52:22.900 his genuine journalism

00:52:23.960 when he went to

00:52:24.520 Bohemian Grove.

00:52:25.500 Check out our battleground

00:52:26.340 from last week.

00:52:27.300 I don't want to play

00:52:27.880 the clip again

00:52:28.400 but he actually sneaked in

00:52:30.180 to a secret society

00:52:32.140 and their bizarre

00:52:33.480 pagan rituals

00:52:34.320 and burning effigies.

00:52:35.940 It was bloody weird.

00:52:37.480 So he's a,

00:52:38.020 he's a real journalist.

00:52:39.720 Sometimes.

00:52:40.580 He's an entertainer

00:52:41.720 sometimes.

00:52:43.860 He's a universal

00:52:45.000 omni-skeptic

00:52:46.200 which can lead him

00:52:47.540 to indulge in

00:52:48.260 conspiracy theories.

00:52:49.740 Sometimes seriously,

00:52:50.600 sometimes not.

00:52:51.260 I think he's just

00:52:51.840 an entertainer sometimes

00:52:53.160 and that's legit

00:52:53.860 and I think banning him

00:52:54.700 is absolutely outrageous.

00:52:57.580 Banning him

00:52:58.280 while genuine violence.

00:52:59.480 He put up that tweet

00:53:00.320 that I showed

00:53:02.320 I think today

00:53:03.500 or yesterday, Alex.

00:53:04.200 This is a tweet

00:53:05.880 that has not been

00:53:07.580 banned from Twitter.

00:53:09.740 It's against ICE.

00:53:11.200 You know what ICE

00:53:11.600 stands for?

00:53:12.140 That's the American

00:53:12.860 Immigration Enforcement.

00:53:15.380 So this is a Twitter

00:53:16.300 account called

00:53:16.900 Proud Bulba 0.93

00:53:18.660 and you can see

00:53:19.240 it's been up there

00:53:20.140 since June 19th.

00:53:21.980 So July, August.

00:53:23.200 This has been up there

00:53:23.740 for two months.

00:53:25.160 How to sabotage ICE?

00:53:27.200 Film them whenever possible.

00:53:28.700 That's fine.

00:53:30.240 Pour sugar on new cement

00:53:31.700 to prevent it from setting.

00:53:32.820 What's that going to do

00:53:33.820 with anything?

00:53:35.260 Pour bleach

00:53:36.020 in ICE vehicle gas tanks? 0.96

00:53:37.680 Knife those

00:53:39.140 effing ICE tires? 0.98

00:53:40.920 Put a potato

00:53:41.680 way up in that exhaust pipe?

00:53:43.120 If you smash glass,

00:53:45.180 do it last?

00:53:47.140 And then there's more

00:53:48.080 get out in your community.

00:53:49.480 So it's,

00:53:49.840 but go back to that

00:53:50.580 top one for a second.

00:53:52.860 4,563 retweets,

00:53:56.420 12,950 likes.

00:53:58.680 So this

00:53:59.400 is not suspended

00:54:02.060 on Twitter.

00:54:02.820 And this is just

00:54:03.720 one random example.

00:54:05.140 You know,

00:54:05.480 the Hamas website

00:54:06.540 has been online

00:54:09.420 since 2009.

00:54:10.540 That's a terrorist group.

00:54:12.960 The Ikwan website,

00:54:15.740 or maybe Hamas

00:54:16.820 is three years old,

00:54:17.540 one of the two.

00:54:18.460 The Muslim Brotherhood 0.83

00:54:19.360 has been online

00:54:19.880 since 2009.

00:54:21.820 I think it's verified.

00:54:23.540 Could you go to

00:54:24.000 Ikwan web,

00:54:25.040 I-K-H-W-A-N, 1.00

00:54:26.840 it's the Muslim Brotherhood. 0.84

00:54:28.320 It's shocking.

00:54:29.260 The Muslim Brotherhood,

00:54:29.980 you know what I'm talking about.

00:54:30.760 They're the affiliate 0.58

00:54:32.980 of Hamas

00:54:33.960 terrorist group.

00:54:37.920 It's got a blue checkmark. 0.97

00:54:40.080 The Muslim Brotherhood,

00:54:41.760 called the Ikwan,

00:54:43.180 has a blue checkmark

00:54:44.280 on Twitter.

00:54:44.720 They're not just okay

00:54:46.360 in social media,

00:54:47.740 they're verified.

00:54:49.760 But Alex Jones

00:54:50.640 tells some alien

00:54:52.800 conspiracy joke,

00:54:53.980 we must all delete him, 0.81

00:54:56.660 all YouTube,

00:54:59.200 Google,

00:54:59.780 Facebook,

00:55:00.400 Spotify,

00:55:01.180 Apple,

00:55:02.640 LinkedIn,

00:55:03.620 Pinterest,

00:55:05.300 all within 12 hours.

00:55:07.680 He's been online

00:55:08.320 for almost 20 years,

00:55:09.600 and within 12 hours,

00:55:10.660 all this company,

00:55:11.320 individual,

00:55:12.080 yeah,

00:55:12.420 Ikwan web,

00:55:12.980 that's the one.

00:55:15.120 They joined on May 2009.

00:55:17.800 They're based in Cairo,

00:55:19.040 so they say,

00:55:19.800 they're actually illegal

00:55:20.640 in Egypt.

00:55:23.820 Official Twitter

00:55:24.600 of the Muslim Brotherhood.

00:55:25.720 Do you see that

00:55:26.120 on the left there?

00:55:28.700 Ikwan web,

00:55:29.120 you see that blue checkmark?

00:55:31.940 This is,

00:55:32.900 they've got 141,000 followers.

00:55:34.640 This is not just

00:55:35.660 the Muslim Brotherhood.

00:55:36.900 This is verified.

00:55:39.240 This has been up there

00:55:40.280 for nine and a half years,

00:55:42.740 almost,

00:55:43.180 over nine years.

00:55:44.020 Isn't that amazing?

00:55:48.100 Okay,

00:55:48.540 I've got to catch up.

00:55:49.340 I've got to catch up

00:55:50.060 on my super chats.

00:55:51.700 Holy cow, 0.51

00:55:52.320 it's 1255.

00:55:55.760 Fraser McDermott,

00:55:56.760 Ezra,

00:55:57.200 check your mail on Monday.

00:55:58.040 I sent you a present

00:55:58.860 with your favorite saying.

00:55:59.980 Oh,

00:56:00.440 okay,

00:56:00.900 thank you.

00:56:01.360 I'll do that.

00:56:06.100 V6,

00:56:06.640 new Tommy Robinson channel video.

00:56:08.300 Tommy Robinson destroys

00:56:09.360 Daily Mail Journalist.

00:56:10.280 Yeah,

00:56:10.800 that's what I was referring to.

00:56:12.580 Tommy spotted this,

00:56:13.760 a photographer

00:56:14.780 stamping pictures

00:56:15.700 of his family.

00:56:18.100 Tom Young John,

00:56:19.020 $2.

00:56:19.480 Ezra,

00:56:19.760 you'd be so much better

00:56:20.480 than Trudeau.

00:56:22.320 Well,

00:56:22.720 it's nice of you to say,

00:56:24.220 and we all daydream about

00:56:26.640 if I was prime minister,

00:56:27.580 I'd do this,

00:56:27.960 but I'm getting really serious.

00:56:30.540 If you had to

00:56:31.460 actually sit in that chair

00:56:32.840 and make those decisions

00:56:33.580 every day,

00:56:34.260 could you do it?

00:56:35.280 I've had a little bit

00:56:36.280 of management experience

00:56:37.140 in my life.

00:56:37.600 I mean,

00:56:37.720 the rebel,

00:56:38.160 we've got 30 odd staff

00:56:39.140 or whatever,

00:56:39.680 and I run a magazine.

00:56:41.120 I used to run a magazine

00:56:41.980 called the Western Standard

00:56:43.140 at our height.

00:56:44.420 We had about 50 people,

00:56:45.800 mainly in the call center.

00:56:47.160 So I've run some things.

00:56:48.520 I wouldn't say I'm,

00:56:49.920 you know,

00:56:50.260 Warren Buffett

00:56:51.120 or Donald Trump

00:56:52.400 in terms of,

00:56:52.940 but you just can't

00:56:56.160 go from Twitter pundit

00:56:58.140 to mayor of a major city.

00:56:59.480 I'm sorry you can't do that.

00:57:00.400 It'll be a disaster.

00:57:02.060 It's not even serious.

00:57:03.040 Let me make sure

00:57:05.500 I'm all caught up.

00:57:07.980 I think I am.

00:57:09.860 We still have three minutes.

00:57:11.460 I'm not going to get into

00:57:12.940 any other video clips

00:57:15.520 or anything

00:57:16.020 because there's only

00:57:16.780 three minutes.

00:57:17.200 I'll read some more.

00:57:19.900 Some tweets.

00:57:20.640 Patrick Max,

00:57:27.460 Israeli billionaire

00:57:28.180 controls most London,

00:57:29.660 Ontario real estate,

00:57:30.760 Shmuel Farhi.

00:57:32.520 I just don't believe that.

00:57:37.420 I'm a skeptic of that.

00:57:41.020 Theseus 9,

00:57:41.800 pretty fair analysis

00:57:42.540 of Alex Jones.

00:57:43.140 Look,

00:57:43.380 I like the guy

00:57:44.260 Vivace.

00:57:46.100 I like his Brio.

00:57:47.880 Do I like everything

00:57:48.760 he says?

00:57:49.540 Of course not.

00:57:51.200 You know,

00:57:52.200 how can,

00:57:52.980 you know,

00:57:53.380 it's,

00:57:53.740 you're not meant

00:57:54.620 to like everything he says.

00:57:58.360 John Zeeland,

00:57:59.200 AJ is right about

00:58:00.140 China and Google.

00:58:00.860 Yeah,

00:58:01.080 that's the thing.

00:58:01.940 Isn't it funny?

00:58:02.600 You got a conspiracy theorist

00:58:03.980 and they take him out

00:58:05.240 through a conspiracy

00:58:05.940 and by that I mean

00:58:07.060 Apple,

00:58:07.480 Google,

00:58:07.840 YouTube,

00:58:08.220 Twitter,

00:58:08.600 Facebook,

00:58:09.060 LinkedIn,

00:58:09.940 Pinterest,

00:58:10.920 all on the same day

00:58:11.720 within 12 hours.

00:58:12.600 They all at the same time

00:58:14.160 say,

00:58:14.940 oh,

00:58:15.000 he violated

00:58:15.560 our terms of service.

00:58:16.720 Yeah,

00:58:16.960 it's enough to make

00:58:17.480 a conspiracy theorist

00:58:18.640 say,

00:58:19.980 yeah,

00:58:20.300 I may be paranoid

00:58:21.500 but they are out

00:58:22.120 to get me.

00:58:24.180 Gina Wonder Woman,

00:58:25.300 Ezra,

00:58:25.600 I will leave now

00:58:26.200 because of what you said

00:58:27.200 about vegans.

00:58:28.840 I accept that,

00:58:30.180 Gina. 0.99

00:58:32.740 S.S.

00:58:33.220 My inferior, 0.93

00:58:33.720 the Jews are the main 1.00

00:58:34.440 problem in this world. 1.00

00:58:35.780 No, 1.00

00:58:36.360 and that's so stupid 1.00

00:58:37.880 and I'm not surprised 1.00

00:58:39.360 that you don't use

00:58:40.100 your real name

00:58:40.540 because that's

00:58:41.580 apropos of nothing, 1.00

00:58:42.600 that's stupid 1.00

00:58:43.240 and that's just 1.00

00:58:44.280 an insult.

00:58:45.000 Iship,

00:58:48.180 Godspeed,

00:58:48.980 my friend,

00:58:49.520 may the wind

00:58:49.900 be at your back,

00:58:50.480 thank you.

00:58:51.540 Aussie Bear,

00:58:52.320 Canadia needs

00:58:53.460 Stephen Harper,

00:58:54.360 Australia needs

00:58:54.960 Tony Abbott.

00:58:56.000 I'd agree with that,

00:58:57.120 I'd agree with both

00:58:57.780 of those parts.

00:58:59.260 Nigel,

00:58:59.740 Ezra would be a good

00:59:00.440 guest on BBC

00:59:01.020 Question Time.

00:59:01.820 Hey,

00:59:02.000 when I was in the UK

00:59:02.660 a couple weeks ago

00:59:03.820 for Tommy's Appeal,

00:59:05.300 I went on a couple

00:59:05.920 of BBC shows,

00:59:06.720 they're awful.

00:59:07.280 I went on,

00:59:08.480 oh boy,

00:59:10.200 I've just forgotten

00:59:10.980 their names,

00:59:13.740 Eddie,

00:59:15.340 somebody,

00:59:16.480 and I went on

00:59:17.380 Nicky somebody,

00:59:18.140 I love the names

00:59:18.640 Eddie and Nicky,

00:59:19.720 and they're just so bad,

00:59:21.420 like I thought the

00:59:22.100 Canadian Media Party

00:59:23.220 was bad,

00:59:23.880 and they're so much

00:59:25.060 worse than Canada, 0.94

00:59:25.960 and we're worse than

00:59:26.680 America. 0.83

00:59:27.120 The BBC is the worst

00:59:28.900 broadcaster in the world

00:59:30.780 that is not literally

00:59:32.040 owned by a dictatorship,

00:59:33.460 it's a state broadcaster,

00:59:34.620 of course,

00:59:35.640 but even RT,

00:59:37.280 which is the state

00:59:38.060 broadcaster,

00:59:39.280 one of the state

00:59:39.920 broadcasters from

00:59:40.700 Vladimir Putin,

00:59:41.680 at least it's interesting,

00:59:43.680 at least it's flavorful,

00:59:44.920 the BBC is so bad,

00:59:47.380 it's so scoldy,

00:59:49.120 so terrified of

00:59:50.340 political incorrectness,

00:59:51.620 it was unbelievable.

00:59:53.940 Folks,

00:59:54.500 we're out of time here,

00:59:55.720 I've enjoyed the banter,

00:59:59.020 I think,

00:59:59.460 Nicky Campbell,

01:00:00.120 thanks,

01:00:00.400 I see John Wake

01:00:01.080 reminding me of some

01:00:01.980 of the names,

01:00:02.820 I enjoy,

01:00:03.280 you can find those

01:00:03.960 interviews on the

01:00:04.600 online,

01:00:05.040 I don't know what

01:00:05.600 you think about them,

01:00:06.760 I thought I gave

01:00:07.840 as good as I got.

01:00:09.040 We're out of time,

01:00:10.500 I enjoyed this,

01:00:12.820 and some personal talk,

01:00:14.040 people always ask,

01:00:14.860 you know,

01:00:15.040 I don't avoid

01:00:15.560 the tough questions,

01:00:17.540 you know,

01:00:17.880 I read some of the 1.00

01:00:18.680 stupid anti-Semitism 1.00

01:00:19.460 just to knock it down, 1.00

01:00:20.540 you're asking me

01:00:21.000 a tough question

01:00:21.500 about faith,

01:00:22.720 I don't think

01:00:23.380 I revealed anything

01:00:24.040 that was a private

01:00:25.400 or confidential matter,

01:00:27.680 I'm just giving you

01:00:28.200 my honest talk

01:00:28.840 about her Twitter campaign,

01:00:29.940 and frankly,

01:00:30.360 I wish her all the best,

01:00:31.640 and a vanity campaign

01:00:33.840 for mayors,

01:00:34.360 not the best.

01:00:36.080 Folks,

01:00:36.560 that's it for now,

01:00:37.660 until our show

01:00:39.500 tonight at 8pm,

01:00:40.900 on behalf of all of us

01:00:42.120 here at Rebel World

01:00:42.840 Headquarters,

01:00:43.440 thanks for joining us,

01:00:44.740 goodbye,

01:00:45.400 and keep fighting

01:00:46.200 for freedom.

01:00:46.860 for freedom.
