00:01:14.420 Welcome to Rebel Roundup, ladies and gentlemen, and the rest of you,

00:01:32.220 in which we take a look back at some of the week's best commentaries and news reports

00:01:37.040 from some of your favorite Rebels, which aren't me, because I'm here telling the stories.

00:01:42.420 I'm your host, who definitely, once again, absolutely is not David Menzies,

00:01:47.260 no matter how hard you squint at that screen.

00:01:50.140 I'm Sheila Gunn-Reed, and I'm filling in for my friend David as he continues to take

00:01:54.040 some well-deserved time off away from the show.

00:01:57.380 But don't you worry.

00:01:59.520 David will be back in the Rebel Roundup news chair very, very soon.

00:02:03.900 Quebec is in lockdown once again.

00:02:06.160 And in fact, I think Quebec is experiencing the worst lockdown in the Western world,

00:02:11.080 with police-enforced curfews, business closures, and places of worship being banned

00:02:16.460 from opening their doors to the faithful.

00:02:19.320 Now, when he heard about his home province going full North Korea one more time, 0.73

00:02:24.900 our Florida-based rebel, Yankee Pollack, knew he had to come back to Canada

00:02:29.020 to tell the other side of the Quebec lockdown.

00:02:32.040 He joins us tonight from his mom's kitchen to tell us what's happening after dark in

00:02:37.500 LaBelle province.

00:02:39.080 Then, it would seem that 2022 is starting off exactly the same as 2021 in Calgary.

00:02:44.060 New mayor, new year, same pastor getting arrested in yet another high-profile SWAT-style

00:02:49.920 takedown on a Calgary city street.

00:02:52.560 Joining me tonight to discuss the latest outrageous arrest of Pastor Art Poloski

00:02:57.260 is Calgary-based reporter Adam Sose.

00:03:00.440 Then, letters, letters, letters, we get your letters, emails, comments, and questions

00:03:04.440 all day, every single day, and we'll get to a few of them today.

00:03:09.140 Now, those are your rebels.

00:03:10.620 Let's round them up.

00:03:11.520 So, today, we are in Montreal because the curfuge is back. 0.99

00:03:23.320 And do you know who is back also?

00:03:26.820 Yankee Pollack! 0.94

00:03:29.280 Hey, Yankee.

00:03:30.240 Yes.

00:03:30.640 So, how do you feel about being in Montreal back?

00:03:33.660 It's cold.

00:03:35.060 That's how I feel.

00:03:36.120 It's cold.

00:03:36.760 But, yeah, I mean, I didn't want to be back, but I promised I will be back.

00:03:42.820 So, here I am in the cold.

00:03:44.740 We're going to go report the other side of the story, show the people what's going on

00:03:49.160 with the lockdowns and all of that.

00:03:52.000 It's cold here.

00:03:53.140 It's 35 degrees difference from where I come from in Florida.

00:03:57.900 So, we'll see.

00:03:59.900 Hopefully, it's not too cold for me.

00:04:01.140 Hopefully, I didn't get too, you know, Florida-ized in, like, half a winter.

00:04:07.300 And we could do a lot of reporting and show the world.

00:04:10.340 And hopefully, the curfuge ends very fast because I want to go back home.

00:04:13.960 It's nice.

00:04:14.520 There's a nice weather over there.

00:04:16.340 How are you excited to see your friend back, the police?

00:04:19.720 Well, yes and no.

00:04:21.340 Hopefully, they're nicer this time around, but not much hope.

00:04:24.740 I have a feeling they'll be worse.

00:04:26.060 But I'm going to try and be civil with them again and see where that leads us.

00:04:31.960 And, you know, we're going to tell you the story if they like it or not.

00:04:36.280 That's their choice if they like it or not.

00:04:38.460 And we will just tell the story.

00:04:41.180 And if they choose to harass us, we'll continue to sue them.

00:04:45.140 If they choose to be nice, we'll be nice, right?

00:04:48.400 Yeah.

00:04:49.080 It's that simple.

00:04:50.140 Bonjour.

00:04:51.600 What's going on?

00:04:52.620 You guys know that it's curfuge time at 10 o'clock?

00:04:56.540 Yeah, we're media.

00:04:57.700 We're here recording.

00:04:59.440 Okay.

00:04:59.840 And stuff.

00:05:00.960 So I'll respectfully ask you to go home.

00:05:04.260 And you have to leave right now.

00:05:06.440 But there's a car that's coming in.

00:05:08.200 If you guys have anything to tell them, they're going to come in and talk.

00:05:13.120 No, no, we're media.

00:05:14.100 We are media.

00:05:14.820 We're just filming what's going on.

00:05:15.780 Yeah, I completely understand.

00:05:16.900 So I just advised you.

00:05:19.080 And I'm just going to go on the side.

00:05:20.680 And then there's a car that's coming.

00:05:22.620 Like another police car?

00:05:24.860 Yeah.

00:05:25.540 Okay, sure.

00:05:26.220 So if you have any questions, they'll be able to ask you.

00:05:27.380 We're just here because we saw people out and we're reporting on it.

00:05:30.200 That's why we're here.

00:05:31.020 Perfect.

00:05:31.860 Bonne nuit.

00:05:32.600 Okay.

00:05:33.160 Thank you.

00:05:33.660 Have a good night.

00:05:33.980 Thank you.

00:05:34.600 Have a good night.

00:05:40.080 He asked us to leave, but we have the right to be out.

00:05:44.600 We have exemption.

00:05:45.540 Because we are media and we are reporting on what is going on with the curfew in Quebec.

00:05:53.140 He's alone, so he's not going to come out alone, right?

00:05:55.640 It's just worth safety.

00:05:56.680 Yeah.

00:05:57.600 He was probably going to wait for backup and then all of them were going to ticket everyone.

00:06:02.400 Like he was just waiting for more people because he was like scared.

00:06:06.660 New year, new you, as they say, except Quebec's premier Francois Legault has resolved to be, I guess, the same old totalitarian that he was back in 2021.

00:06:16.480 He's brought in a whole slate of new restrictions, including a curfew, in an attempt to stop the spread of the Omicron variant, which scientists and researchers say is more transmissible than the previous COVID variants, but far less severe.

00:06:30.540 During the last curfew, Rebel News reporter and social media guru Yankee Pollack took to the streets nearly every night to document the police harassment of everyday Quebecers just trying to live their lives.

00:06:44.760 And he also ended up on the receiving end of that harassment.

00:06:48.080 And over the last year, Yankee wisely escaped Canada, not only to warmer climates, but to freer spaces and big Ron DeSantis' free state of Florida.

00:06:59.980 But when the curfew came back, so did our friend Yankee.

00:07:03.320 He pulled a bit of a reverse AOC and left Florida for a lockdown jurisdiction because he feels compelled to tell the other side of the story.

00:07:11.820 So joining me now from Montreal is Yankee Pollack, Yankee first thing, I guess. 0.66

00:07:18.180 What's the toughest part about being back in Montreal right now?

00:07:23.180 Definitely the weather.

00:07:25.660 And I can't start the morning meeting saying I'm in Florida.

00:07:31.000 But other than that, I guess there's no freedom here.

00:07:35.160 I went to a store just this morning to get breakfast with a friend to catch up with him.

00:07:41.820 And we couldn't even eat it in the restaurant that had to be in the car.

00:07:46.540 But we walked in without a mask.

00:07:48.080 You need to wear a mask.

00:07:49.300 And it's like, they're like, not even for us.

00:07:52.340 The customers come in, they complain, and they call the cops.

00:07:55.560 So for us, we don't want to deal with the cops.

00:07:58.720 Please put on a mask.

00:08:00.000 And I feel bad.

00:08:01.420 I'm not going to fight with the lady. 0.85

00:08:04.140 She says she works from 6 a.m.

00:08:07.100 It's not her fault that the government is implementing a mask.

00:08:09.780 So I'll put on a mask just because it's not her fault.

00:08:14.120 You know, but this is the issue here is people are enforcing this, not even the police.

00:08:20.660 So you have the people are, I guess, they're snitches.

00:08:26.080 They call the cops.

00:08:26.900 If they see a customer without a mask, they'll call the cops.

00:08:30.380 So then the store gets a fine.

00:08:32.040 The person gets a fine.

00:08:33.000 Everyone gets a fine.

00:08:33.840 If it's just a fine for me, that's whatever.

00:08:37.320 I'll deal with my fine.

00:08:38.360 But for a woman over there, for a business owner that's struggling through this, I don't 0.94

00:08:43.800 want them getting a ticket.

00:08:47.020 I don't want to give them a hard time.

00:08:49.120 So, you know, but this is how Quebec is. 0.97

00:08:51.680 It's a nation of snitches. 1.00

00:08:53.640 You know, they like calling it La Belle Provence.

00:08:57.160 I think it's La Snitch Provence now. 0.96

00:08:59.500 You know, it's ridiculous. 0.96

00:09:01.400 You know, people are trying to live life. 0.94

00:09:04.140 I spoke to store owners of the record.

00:09:06.680 They say, you know, people call the cops all the time on them for not enforcing masks.

00:09:11.320 People, you know, people are going to their houses of worship.

00:09:14.680 People are going doing their thing.

00:09:16.580 And you have snitches everywhere just calling the cops.

00:09:21.280 You know, it's not that the government is enforcing all of it.

00:09:24.460 You also have snitches enforcing all of it. 1.00

00:09:26.780 Is that the same as it was before?

00:09:29.420 Or is that a new thing that has sort of manifested itself and maybe cemented itself in society

00:09:34.280 since you've been gone?

00:09:35.620 I think you've been gone about six months.

00:09:37.700 Was it like that before?

00:09:40.040 Yeah.

00:09:40.580 Last curfew was the same thing.

00:09:42.220 There was people yelling out of their windows, go home or I'll call the cops.

00:09:46.440 And it's like 930.

00:09:47.560 It's like, mind your business.

00:09:48.800 And a lot of them are like, not so much do they care.

00:09:53.720 They're more like, if I can't be out, you can't be out.

00:09:56.900 And it's like, you also go out if you want.

00:09:59.440 Nobody is stopping you.

00:10:00.980 But no, rather than going out, he'll call the police and get the police to ticket to other

00:10:06.420 people.

00:10:06.980 I see these comments on Twitter as well.

00:10:09.720 You know, some Jewish schools are open.

00:10:12.720 And people are like, if my kids have to stay home, your kids must stay home.

00:10:16.980 And it's like, no.

00:10:18.500 So you know it's wrong.

00:10:19.880 How about you fight for your kids to go to school instead of fighting other kids shouldn't

00:10:25.840 go to school?

00:10:26.440 It makes no sense to me.

00:10:28.040 Instead of people fighting for freedom, they're fighting, I guess, equity?

00:10:33.980 I don't know.

00:10:35.460 They want nobody to have anything because they don't.

00:10:38.980 Yeah, they want equity of suffering, it sounds like. 0.97

00:10:41.280 Equity of suffering, it's ridiculous. 0.73

00:10:44.620 It's like, fight for freedom.

00:10:46.420 No, we're going to fight that nobody has freedom because I have no freedom.

00:10:49.940 I don't get it.

00:10:51.380 But then it's fair, Yankee. 0.85

00:10:54.320 If everybody's punished the same, then it's fair.

00:10:58.280 Just like our health care system is fair because nobody gets treated.

00:11:03.140 Yeah, isn't that the truth?

00:11:05.580 Now, you've been out a couple nights already on the curfew beat.

00:11:09.500 What are you seeing out there?

00:11:10.700 Is there any resistance to the curfew?

00:11:13.400 Are people defying it?

00:11:15.080 Well, on Wednesday night, there was a nice, nice 50 people showed up to protest out of

00:11:22.660 what do we have?

00:11:24.660 8.5 million residents in Quebec.

00:11:27.500 50 people showed up.

00:11:28.760 All of them got arrested after, I would say, after an hour after the curfew.

00:11:35.980 They all got arrested, well, detained and ticketed and sent on their way with a $1,558 curfew ticket.

00:11:45.060 Up by eight bucks.

00:11:46.060 I guess inflation hit the tickets as well, not just the grocery stores.

00:11:56.320 I don't know why it went up by eight bucks, but it did.

00:11:59.120 You know, we filmed it.

00:12:01.380 I was there, Alexa, Guillaume, and we were there to show you the other side of the story.

00:12:07.460 Interestingly enough, they respected us last night.

00:12:10.160 No tickets for us.

00:12:11.980 Everyone else got a ticket.

00:12:13.360 We were for 10 minutes stuck between police because there was police activity every side of us.

00:12:22.180 And we were standing there.

00:12:24.640 We couldn't go anywhere, but they didn't detain us.

00:12:26.880 It was just like, that was the only place we could stand on the sidewalk that wasn't part of police activity.

00:12:33.380 And I was like, almost like not waiting, but I was expecting to be ticketed because that's what they have been doing for the past.

00:12:41.380 Well, in the past curfew, but no, they were just there.

00:12:45.900 They were pretty nice, I guess, quote unquote, towards us.

00:12:52.520 And, you know, all the protesters went along.

00:12:57.300 Like when the police came, they picked up their hand and they were like, take me.

00:13:01.200 Like Pastor Art, when they come to grab you, you got to go like a sheep.

00:13:05.360 That's what he said in an interview with Rebel News last week.

00:13:09.120 Or was it this week?

00:13:10.140 It was this week.

00:13:11.000 It's been a long week.

00:13:13.280 So that's what they did.

00:13:14.500 They just went along and they got ticketed.

00:13:17.620 I saw, but it was approximately 50 people.

00:13:20.300 Every single person got ticketed, detained, ticketed, and sent underway.

00:13:24.420 It's outrageous that people in an apparent free and democratic society don't have the right of movement,

00:13:32.660 but also get ticketed for protesting.

00:13:36.160 Yeah, you can't even protest what the government is doing to you.

00:13:39.880 So, I guess, if I'm understanding you correctly, there's been a marked change between how the police treated you before and how the police are treating you now.

00:13:54.760 I remember they were trying to ticket you for everything.

00:13:57.340 Like you stepped off the curb and they're like jaywalking.

00:14:00.020 Tell us how many tickets you had from before and then maybe just tell me if there's any change in how the police are treating you now.

00:14:10.080 So, how many tickets do I have?

00:14:13.820 I have a total of 14 tickets for now.

00:14:17.660 For reporting, by the way.

00:14:19.720 You're just reporting.

00:14:21.060 Just reporting.

00:14:22.260 So, two of them I actually received in the mail.

00:14:24.460 So, there might be more in the mail.

00:14:26.260 So, the number might be going up.

00:14:28.260 Don't know.

00:14:28.780 We'll find out.

00:14:29.800 And we'll see if they're $1,500 or $1,558.

00:14:33.120 Right?

00:14:33.900 Eight bucks more.

00:14:34.780 But, so, a bunch of them are curfew.

00:14:40.180 I think six of them are curfew.

00:14:41.780 And I don't have it here.

00:14:42.680 I have the binder.

00:14:43.840 I have a whole binder of it.

00:14:46.080 Maybe I have a video.

00:14:47.540 I'll throw it in.

00:14:48.740 You should.

00:14:50.680 So, I have six curfew tickets, one mask ticket.

00:14:54.840 And I was on the street.

00:14:56.660 And that police officer was so nice to give me a failing to obey ticket because I didn't go back on the sidewalk apparently fast enough.

00:15:03.500 And then a jaywalking ticket for going on the street because I was asking him a question.

00:15:09.020 Apparently, that officer, he said, I have no more rights.

00:15:12.240 And he gave me three tickets.

00:15:14.720 The night after, he gave me tickets for rubbing of the engine.

00:15:18.740 It's like when you...

00:15:20.220 You were stunting?

00:15:23.780 Something like that.

00:15:25.420 That's what he claims, at least.

00:15:27.060 I denied, of course.

00:15:28.200 I also received another two jaywalking tickets, I believe, or one more.

00:15:34.320 No, two more.

00:15:36.340 I have a cell phone ticket as well, which is bogus.

00:15:40.420 I was filming a cop yelling at me while he stopped me.

00:15:44.420 He stopped me and yelled at me.

00:15:46.460 And I put my car in park and picked up my phone to film him yelling at me.

00:15:50.840 And I got a cell phone ticket for that.

00:15:55.140 I got a parking ticket for...

00:15:58.560 You know, I parked during the curfew.

00:16:00.720 There was nobody in the road that, you know, they threw a parking ticket at me.

00:16:04.840 What else did I miss?

00:16:06.100 Did I miss one?

00:16:07.040 I don't know.

00:16:07.780 I can't remember everything I have, even at this point.

00:16:10.780 So, you know, there are 14 tickets.

00:16:12.960 It's about $12,000 in tickets.

00:16:16.180 You know, Ezra has been amazing and, you know, promising to, well, fighting them.

00:16:23.320 And if I were to lose any of them, Rebel News will pay it.

00:16:29.560 And that's only thanks to our viewers that want me out here and are donating to LockdownReports.com.

00:16:35.780 That's how we do it here at Rebel.

00:16:37.700 Well, we, you know, we show you the other side of the story and whoever feels compelled to chip in, chips in.

00:16:43.760 And that's how we keep the lights on.

00:16:45.260 And that's how we pay the fines for reporting.

00:16:47.580 It's ridiculous that we even need to talk about getting a fine for reporting.

00:16:51.440 But that's how it is in Quebec.

00:16:54.180 And I think the lawsuit, we did bring in a lawsuit against them for a lot of the things they did.

00:17:01.600 And I think their legal department had a look at it and was like, guys, you got to be nicer to these people or we'll keep getting sued.

00:17:12.220 You know, they used to tell me, when is the lawsuit coming?

00:17:16.360 Careful what you wish for.

00:17:18.480 Yeah, because everyone always threatens to sue.

00:17:21.420 I'm going to sue you.

00:17:22.500 No, we sue.

00:17:23.660 We do.

00:17:24.700 Ezra doesn't make empty threats.

00:17:26.380 If he says he's going to sue you, he will.

00:17:28.960 And that's what I think happened.

00:17:31.480 And I think they were surprised that they even got sued.

00:17:34.860 And I think that they are backing up.

00:17:37.520 But this is only the first time that I interact real heavily with the police.

00:17:44.420 We'll see what happens.

00:17:46.100 I don't know how long I'm going to stay here.

00:17:48.280 A few more days, that's for sure.

00:17:49.840 But I don't have a return flight.

00:17:51.700 As long as things stay interesting, I might stay.

00:17:54.680 My mom is definitely happy that I'm staying.

00:17:58.260 But it's, how's it called?

00:18:02.120 It's, I'll stay here as long as I feel I need to be here.

00:18:05.060 I came back to show you, as promised.

00:18:08.260 And that's what I will continue doing.

00:18:11.400 Now, I'm glad you mentioned lockdownreports.com.

00:18:16.560 That's how people can support the work that you're doing and see the work that you're doing there.

00:18:21.280 Because I think nobody else is doing the work.

00:18:23.440 But I'll ask you that question.

00:18:24.900 When you're out on the streets, are you seeing other news crews?

00:18:27.440 Or is it just you guys?

00:18:29.600 So, yeah.

00:18:30.180 Last time around, it was just me.

00:18:31.960 That was before Alexa joined the team.

00:18:33.800 And Alexa joined the team.

00:18:36.220 But I was like, I have to come back.

00:18:38.940 And I'm working with Alexa, making sure, you know, that she's doing an amazing job.

00:18:45.780 But, you know, I felt like I had to come back and show it from my perspective as someone that was out almost every night for five months.

00:18:53.580 And Alexa, if you have seen any other news crews, the answer is no.

00:18:59.840 There's a bunch of independent people protesting.

00:19:02.960 There was one more independent person out there filming as a journalist.

00:19:08.120 But other than that, it was basically the protesters just live streaming and posting.

00:19:13.400 And all of them got ticketed.

00:19:15.580 But there was no mainstream media.

00:19:17.440 I bet there will be an article today from, well, if there is one, there will be police.

00:19:23.580 Police say they arrested, they ticketed 50, I don't know how many people it was, approximately 50 people.

00:19:32.860 They'll have the exact number from the police report.

00:19:35.980 And one person was arrested or something like that, if there was.

00:19:41.220 And that's the amount of tickets were given.

00:19:44.640 And they'll have some blurry photo from a screen grab from somewhere.

00:19:49.740 And maybe they'll embed a half a video.

00:19:51.980 And they'll call it a day.

00:19:53.580 And that will be the curfew report from them.

00:19:57.080 I don't go to the police.

00:19:58.760 I don't care the exact number of people that were ticketed.

00:20:02.560 I could ask them.

00:20:03.620 I could send them an email.

00:20:04.520 I might get an answer.

00:20:05.320 Might not.

00:20:06.780 I've never had much luck with them.

00:20:08.920 I'm just out there showing you what happened.

00:20:11.360 Is it a difference if it was 45 or 47 people that were there protesting?

00:20:16.520 Or 52 people got a ticket?

00:20:18.800 It doesn't really matter.

00:20:19.760 But the media is busy with numbers all day.

00:20:23.060 And that's part of it.

00:20:24.260 It's part of the numbers.

00:20:25.700 It's part of the number game.

00:20:27.620 And that's what I think will happen if they even read an article.

00:20:31.820 There won't be anything substantive in their reporting.

00:20:36.860 Like we were out there filming.

00:20:39.720 Well, and I'm glad that you are because apparently you're the only people doing it in any sort of real way outside of a few independent people.

00:20:48.860 The mainstream media is completely asleep at the switch, actually.

00:20:52.300 They're pro-lockdown.

00:20:53.840 And so they're perfectly happy that there's a curfew in Quebec.

00:20:57.560 They don't think that there's anything weird about it.

00:20:59.980 I think they do the government's bidding.

00:21:03.940 And I can't prove this, but I believe that the media is getting, like, the government is finding out of, like, places that are open.

00:21:13.580 Send the media to cause a stir.

00:21:16.200 And then the police have no choice but to, once there's media talk, the police go.

00:21:20.920 They're happy to do it.

00:21:22.300 But, you know, they're not going to go fight every single place.

00:21:24.780 But I think the provincial government is sending media to places to make sure that there's a media wind about it.

00:21:35.420 And then the cops come in and the cops do the dirty work.

00:21:39.460 And I believe the media is actually part of the governing party of the CAQ.

00:21:45.080 That's my personal opinion.

00:21:47.400 You know, that's a great way for us to end the interview because you've just brought it full circle.

00:21:51.420 You've shown how the media plays a role in that snitch culture that you say is in Quebec.

00:21:57.580 Yankee, thanks so much for abandoning Florida and coming back to help Canada.

00:22:03.360 I can't wait to see what you do next.

00:22:05.720 Thank you.

00:22:06.940 Thanks.

00:22:07.320 Stay with us.

00:22:07.860 More up next after the break.

00:22:09.060 Pastor Arthur Pawlowski, who has been arrested twice and faced ongoing harassment by police for daring to open his church throughout COVID-19

00:22:23.400 and for daring to continue to serve the poor, along with his brother, David Pawlowski, have reportedly been arrested based on violation of the ridiculous compelled speech and public protest restrictions placed upon them by Justice Adam Germain.

00:22:41.720 We're waiting to get the full details and we're going to speak to the Pawlowskis as well as lawyer Sarah Miller, who is being provided at no cost thanks to your generous support at SaveArthur.com for the Pawlowskis.

00:22:52.800 But the Pawlowskis' legal fight is still ahead of them. 0.84

00:22:55.300 We're going to touch base with them as soon as we are able to.

00:22:58.340 For now, we're going to jump straight to the footage provided by Nathaniel Pawlowski, Arthur's son, of this troubling arrest.

00:23:04.720 Sir, you're all doing an arrest.

00:23:06.460 I know.

00:23:07.300 Come on.

00:23:08.040 You know, you'll get stuck on Nazi. 1.00

00:23:09.720 You're sick. 0.99

00:23:11.680 You know that? 1.00

00:23:12.260 Hey, don't resist.

00:23:13.860 No, he's not resisting.

00:23:15.160 Stand up.

00:23:15.760 No.

00:23:16.340 I'm not resisting.

00:23:16.940 You're under arrest. 1.00

00:23:17.540 You are a Nazi. 1.00

00:23:18.720 Do it the Nazi style. 1.00

00:23:20.060 Stand up.

00:23:21.480 You're not.

00:23:22.260 What?

00:23:23.140 We want him to stand up, but we want to lay down.

00:23:33.200 He did that himself.

00:23:34.380 We're now up in the car.

00:23:35.400 We're ready to go down.

00:23:39.720 We need a hand helping him up.

00:23:43.340 We will. 1.00

00:23:47.900 Tell Neufeld he's a crook, he's a criminal, he's a Nazi. 1.00

00:23:51.680 He's nowhere near here. 1.00

00:23:53.640 Yeah, you get your orders.

00:23:55.480 That's okay.

00:23:55.980 Tell Neufeld he's sick. 0.99

00:24:00.260 Corrupted mafia. 0.99

00:24:01.480 No criminals to catch today, hey?

00:24:07.760 Just a pastor. 1.00

00:24:09.100 Yeah, he's a criminal. 1.00

00:24:11.760 Pastor.

00:24:12.980 You know what his charges were?

00:24:14.680 You call that crime?

00:24:16.360 For opening church?

00:24:18.380 Wow.

00:24:18.920 Yes.

00:24:19.380 Yeah.

00:24:20.260 Wow.

00:24:22.660 The state of our police.

00:24:24.000 Oh my God.

00:24:31.000 Can I have your name and badge numbers, please?

00:24:37.100 Name and badge number.

00:24:39.260 Excuse me, I'm talking to you.

00:24:41.260 Constable Johnson, 5742.

00:24:43.080 You, badge number.

00:24:44.120 I gave it 4659.

00:24:45.620 Back away, you're going to need to be obstructing this.

00:24:47.500 I'm not obstructing anything.

00:24:48.780 That's why I told you to back away.

00:24:49.640 Name and badge number.

00:24:50.540 More, 4404.

00:24:51.300 Stay back though, partner.

00:24:53.680 Or you're going to be obstructing, okay?

00:24:55.160 I want to keep you out of jail, okay?

00:24:58.620 Yeah, sure you do.

00:24:59.820 Let's do that. 0.98

00:25:00.280 You would love to arrest me as well, you Nazi. 0.94

00:25:03.760 Why? 1.00

00:25:04.420 Because you're sick.

00:25:06.240 No.

00:25:07.000 This is sick. 0.97

00:25:09.100 You get orders from corrupted politicians, corrupted leaders, and this is what you do. 0.97

00:25:16.000 You got options.

00:25:16.920 New year, new mayor, but some things never change in Calgary.

00:25:22.880 And one of the most consistent things in Calgary these days is that a pastor who feeds the homeless nearly compulsively remains public enemy number one.

00:25:31.880 Again, it's been that way for, I guess, decades at this point, across multiple mayors and across multiple police chiefs and across multiple premiers.

00:25:40.360 Now, over the holiday break, we saw the third SWAT-style takedown of Pastor Art Poloski on the streets of Calgary.

00:25:46.300 The first time, he was arrested for opening his church and casting out health inspectors when they came.

00:25:51.120 The second time, he was arrested at the airport after coming back to Canada from a U.S. tour.

00:25:57.080 And this time, he was on his knees on a frozen city street in the snow for what sounds like praying across the street from the house of the health minister.

00:26:06.220 To get clarity about Pastor Art's latest run-in with the law is Calgary-based Rebel reporter Adam Sos, who has been on the case of Pastor Art from very nearly his first day here at Rebel News.

00:26:17.900 Hi, Adam.

00:26:18.420 Thanks for joining me.

00:26:19.920 Please tell us why the cops took Pastor Art down like he was an active shooter this time.

00:26:25.940 Yeah, and this is the troubling thing.

00:26:28.520 We just had a legal update with Sarah Miller, and it seems very much, and again, I can't necessarily point to the document where someone higher up made this order.

00:26:40.620 But it seems as though because they dared approach the house of a politician, shocker, Alberta Health Services, police, AHS, like all these people have been knocking down at the door of the church in the home of Pastor Artur Pawlowski for months and months, if not longer.

00:26:57.920 But these people dared to meet outside of Health Minister Jason Copping's house, and that apparently drew the ire of politicians.

00:27:05.760 I don't know if Jason Kenney called the captain personally or if this was just an internal thing, but we clearly saw the next day Jason Kenney already commenting on how this is unacceptable.

00:27:17.560 The troubling thing here is the fact that the police clearly wanted to find something on Pastor Artur.

00:27:25.720 You can see in the footage that they're on the phone trying to figure out how to get them.

00:27:30.560 The series of charges that have been laid and retracted, at the beginning, they started with basically being mischievous, riling people up, which is kind of a general police charge, which Pastor Artur, who was sort of apprehensive to attend this event, but he thought he'd attend to ensure that it remained peaceful.

00:27:52.140 Which it did.

00:27:53.400 It did, prayerful and respectful.

00:27:55.140 Reports from CBC stated that there's trespassing charges, I believe.

00:28:00.740 That's also what Jason Kenney implied, that people were trespassing.

00:28:03.960 I believe one sort of lone rogue individual who was not known to the group walked up and rang the doorbell.

00:28:09.740 The entire group basically yelled at him and told him to respect Mr. Copping's privacy and not to step on his property.

00:28:16.260 But the allegations out there about what Pastor Artur Pawlewski had done, even after reading him his rights and sitting him in the car, when he wouldn't speak further until he had an opportunity to talk to his lawyer, the police tried to add obstruction of justice charges.

00:28:31.780 So they kept piling up all these charges.

00:28:34.360 And basically by the bail hearing, virtually none of them had stuck.

00:28:37.500 And according to Sarah Miller, the most they could have gotten Pastor Artur Pawlewski on would have been a ticket for not wearing a mask at a protest.

00:28:45.580 That was the extent of his rule breaking.

00:28:47.860 But Pastor Artur Pawlewski has a medical exemption for masking due to, I believe, a respiratory issue.

00:28:53.100 Not that it's anyone's business, but his own.

00:28:55.180 Exactly.

00:28:55.720 So he has that exemption.

00:28:57.220 So the only thing that they kind of tried to get to stick was this thing.

00:29:01.140 But that doesn't warrant spending a night in jail.

00:29:04.860 That's a ticketing matter.

00:29:06.920 This is additionally troubling because of the fact that the Rook order under which these new charges were sort of trumped up, there's already an appeals process because of Sarah Miller of JSS Barrister's victory getting this appeals process going again, thanks to everyone's donations at saveartur.com.

00:29:24.760 But because of that, there's already an appeals process going on on this virtually the same sort of charge.

00:29:33.160 And they're trying to levy these charges again.

00:29:36.040 It's absolutely staggering.

00:29:37.960 And it seems from any sort of reasonable outside perspective that they happen to catch the guy and they're like, what can we get?

00:29:45.680 And they tried to throw stuff until something stuck.

00:29:47.840 And it probably won't, to be honest.

00:29:49.260 Now, do we know if the guy who went and knocked on the door, reportedly, do we know if he was charged with trespass?

00:29:58.380 If he was nabbed in a SWAT-style takedown?

00:30:00.940 Do we know?

00:30:01.760 No, I don't believe so.

00:30:03.240 He might have cleared out.

00:30:04.420 He was not known.

00:30:05.680 From the description, he was kind of like a beatnik hippie looking dude.

00:30:09.040 I didn't see it, but he just kind of rolled up.

00:30:10.860 And nobody in this sort of freedom family, as they call themselves, knew this guy.

00:30:15.380 He just was like a random dude who rolled up.

00:30:18.520 So a little bit suspicious.

00:30:19.660 But the other weird thing with this is, so this protest is taking place.

00:30:23.200 And, I mean, people have probably seen this by now.

00:30:25.140 But this protest is taking place in this small sort of isolated community.

00:30:29.500 And then they set up a police check stop.

00:30:33.100 Coincidentally, right as the people are leaving, I don't know how often you guys have seen police check stops leaving small rural sort of areas or basically cul-de-sac type communities.

00:30:43.380 It doesn't really happen.

00:30:45.100 So clearly, at some point, it seems apparent that there was some higher-up order saying, well, we're not going to tolerate them.

00:30:52.040 We can go to their churches.

00:30:53.320 We can go to their houses.

00:30:54.140 We can tell them who they can and can't have in their house.

00:30:56.660 But, heaven forbid, they have a peaceful vigil slash protest outside of the politician who's passing these orders outside of their house.

00:31:04.760 Heaven forbid that should happen.

00:31:06.340 So they set up this ridiculous check stop.

00:31:10.600 He got through the check stop.

00:31:12.400 David, who was also arrested, his brother, was driving.

00:31:14.460 No issues.

00:31:15.040 No one was drinking.

00:31:16.200 And then they drove home.

00:31:17.620 And it was actually on the way home about five minutes later that, like, ten or so cop cars, 20 cops came out and arrested them in that ridiculous fashion again.

00:31:26.660 The ideological sort of drive here as a parent, you could show up at this guy's house and arrest him.

00:31:35.360 He's repeatedly said, I can talk to you, call my lawyer, we can figure something out.

00:31:40.420 He says, don't interrupt me during church.

00:31:42.320 That's the whole get-out thing was don't interrupt ongoing worship, which is a criminal code violation, but interrupting worship.

00:31:48.720 But they could get him at home, but for some reason they choose not to.

00:31:52.180 This guy's never run anywhere.

00:31:53.900 He doesn't hide what he's doing.

00:31:56.980 And everyone knows where he lives.

00:31:58.560 They could go home and get him.

00:31:59.680 They keep getting him in these roadside, airport, ridiculous raid-style arrests.

00:32:05.000 And it seems apparent that it's an effort to intimidate.

00:32:07.600 Yeah, of course it is.

00:32:09.920 I mean, he's never even resisted arrest.

00:32:11.960 Sure, he doesn't go easily.

00:32:13.380 He kind of goes, like, dead weight, but make him work for it.

00:32:16.700 But he doesn't resist arrest, not ever.

00:32:20.360 So I guess at the end of the day, what were they able to, I guess, to their best efforts, make stick to Art?

00:32:30.020 Because they charged him with a bunch of stuff.

00:32:31.620 Things were getting tossed out.

00:32:32.520 And so what is the new legal jeopardy that Art's under?

00:32:36.200 Yeah, so basically it would be breaking some restrictions of the Rook order, which we're still trying to clarify.

00:32:42.600 Because per an update from the JCCF, that general Rook blanket order, after the fact, was corrected to not apply to anyone beyond Chris Scott, Glenn Carrot, those original rulings back from when I started.

00:32:57.120 So those terms were redefined.

00:32:59.540 But I guess there are new orders in place that don't limit sizes of protests, but suggest potentially under a new recorder or that amended recorder that masks are to be worn.

00:33:09.980 So according to Sarah Miller, this is very messy because they've only received a very brief bail package so far with very sort of tenuous details.

00:33:18.980 What they don't have is we tried to charge this and we dropped it.

00:33:22.220 We tried to charge this and drop it.

00:33:24.020 That's more so from the accounts of the witnesses in the video that we see.

00:33:27.880 But from the best of our understanding, according to Sarah Miller, basically what they have him on is not wearing a mask at a protest when he has a medical exemption anyways.

00:33:38.100 So very likely a nothing thing.

00:33:41.180 The other thing, too, is that this is probably going to sum up everything I have to say.

00:33:46.000 If there is any doubt as to whether there was some sort of, and this is not Sarah Miller, this is just from an observer witnessing this.

00:33:53.920 If there is any doubt as to whether there was some form of malice after one arrest, okay, well, maybe there was some overstepping and whatever.

00:34:01.700 The second time when they're waiting for him at an airport and they redirect the private jet that someone flew him in on, they intercept that jet and have it go to a different hangar where cops are waiting.

00:34:14.040 Okay, that's like El Chapo style gang takedown stuff.

00:34:18.240 Now, the third arrest, this time arrested and thrown in jail for ultimately not wearing a mask when he has a medical exemption anyways.

00:34:27.680 It's absolutely, like, staggering.

00:34:30.460 And I look forward to seeing in court when this all shakes down.

00:34:34.860 Now, I would say that it's hard to argue that this doesn't just border on harassment.

00:34:39.200 They keep throwing the guy in jail and trying to get stuff to stick.

00:34:42.520 And it's, it's, the most troubling thing about all this is, this guy's not a drug dealer.

00:34:48.720 He's not a pimp.

00:34:49.500 He's not a human trafficker.

00:34:51.240 You may not like him.

00:34:52.560 Arthur Pawlowski knows that he rubs some people the wrong way.

00:34:56.540 Frankly, in person, one-on-one, very sort of calm.

00:35:01.240 Yeah.

00:35:01.840 Funny.

00:35:03.500 Exactly.

00:35:04.240 When he preaches, he puts on a bit of a different persona to get the message out strongly.

00:35:09.140 And he understands some people love that, some people it rubs them the wrong way.

00:35:13.160 But the way they're targeting this man based on their personal vendettas, I wish they had an ounce of that further towards some of the real villains out there in society.

00:35:23.240 Yeah.

00:35:24.220 Yeah.

00:35:24.560 I wish they were this aggressive with the people who actually damage and harm our communities instead of people like Art who do their best to help our communities.

00:35:35.380 Adam, I know you've got to go.

00:35:36.580 Thank you so much for taking the time.

00:35:38.100 And thanks so much for being on the case of Pastor Art, really, from basically your first or second day here.

00:35:43.720 I know we threw you right into the fire on that one.

00:35:46.240 But you've done such a great job on it.

00:35:47.140 Happy I was here to tell the story.

00:35:48.440 So thank you.

00:35:49.480 And don't forget to go to savearcher.com and chip in.

00:35:53.420 Thank you.

00:35:53.920 That's great.

00:35:54.340 Yes.

00:35:54.920 Art has a great lawyer, Sarah Miller.

00:35:57.660 She's working very hard.

00:35:58.840 I can't imagine what sort of situation Art would be in without her help.

00:36:03.720 And her help is only possible through savearcher.com.

00:36:06.400 So if people want to donate to Offset Arts legal fees, they can do that there.

00:36:11.340 And all donations there qualify for a charitable tax receipt.

00:36:14.560 Adam, thank you so much for working so hard on this.

00:36:17.800 Thank you.

00:36:18.280 I can't help but look around and feel like minds are slowly starting to change.

00:36:29.480 Because even if you're triple vaccinated, know that segregation isn't the way.

00:36:36.020 Freedom is a choice and it's available to all if we choose.

00:36:39.440 But first things first, we gotta turn off the news.

00:36:46.460 Yeah, what about the healthcare workers? 0.65

00:36:49.560 What about the frontline nurses? 1.00

00:36:52.780 How quickly we forget that they were working 18 hours a day.

00:36:56.300 What about informed consent?

00:37:00.640 What about due diligence?

00:37:03.740 It seems the country that I used to call home is surely slipping away.

00:37:07.520 If you're late to the party, there's plenty room at the table.

00:37:12.740 This side, don't discriminate. 0.85

00:37:15.000 I'm calling on every single man, woman, child of the able.

00:37:18.160 It's time to take the streets and liberate.

00:37:20.620 But please don't be a part of the problem. 0.98

00:37:22.560 Staying willfully ignorant. 0.94

00:37:24.040 Because there's just way too much at stake. 0.96

00:37:25.720 Yo, it's okay to change your mind.

00:37:28.100 You can admit you were wrong.

00:37:29.420 Because where there's perfect love, there ain't no shame.

00:37:33.360 Heavenly Father, show me what I don't understand yet.

00:37:36.180 I got my marching orders.

00:37:37.420 I don't fully know the plan yet.

00:37:39.120 Hold on to my Bible before bed.

00:37:40.740 No, it ain't been yet.

00:37:42.000 Did you know the makers of the vaccine make the Xanax?

00:37:44.700 I would never lean on corporations for morality.

00:37:47.480 Because they put their profits over people for their salaries.

00:37:50.180 Know they want to make you bend the knee for your normality.

00:37:53.160 I know you feeling all alone.

00:37:54.640 But in reality, there's way more of us than them.

00:38:01.900 There's way more of us than them.

00:38:08.760 There's way more of us than them.

00:38:13.260 There's way more of us than them.

00:38:18.960 There's way more of us than them.

00:38:22.820 That's the truth.

00:38:23.920 That's the new single from our BC-based video journalist Matt Bredman, who is not only an

00:38:51.160 incredibly talented videographer, but also a Juno-nominated musician who was cancelled

00:38:56.040 by the cool kids in the industry because he's a strong Christian. But Matt's not one to be bullied

00:39:01.100 or to hide his God-given talents. His new single, More of Us, is going viral. As I'm recording this,

00:39:06.720 it's trending number 14 on YouTube Music, which is amazing because Matt was not able to promote his

00:39:12.420 music because big tech banned ads for it because they're lockdowners. And Matt was humanizing the

00:39:18.760 other side of the lockdown debate, the suffering, the discrimination, and the isolation. You can get

00:39:24.620 Matt's new single for download right now on Bandcamp, and we'll make sure the link to do that is included

00:39:29.960 in the description of this show. Now, I love Matt's new song, and I'm so proud of him, even if I prefer

00:39:35.880 my music with a little bit more banjo. But I want to know what you think. Why cue holes in the narrative

00:39:42.100 of rights on Rumble? We're living in times where explicit lyrics are good, but speaking the truth

00:39:48.700 with no swear words is not. Oh my goodness, isn't that the truth? We do live in a society where a video

00:39:55.520 of some guy twerking on the devil is appropriate consumable content for our children, or a song like

00:40:01.520 WAP, and I'm not even going to say the words because the words gross me out, is treated like

00:40:07.100 girl empowerment. But Matt can't even promote a song about unity and hope and not feeling alone

00:40:13.300 because that is offensive to public health officials who want to and are controlling your

00:40:19.000 life. TinyBrit32 on YouTube says,

00:40:22.420 Needed this today. In tears. Thank you for reminding us we aren't standing alone, even though I'm part of

00:40:28.440 the less than 1% of unvaccinated at my work. I have to get tested three days a week just to keep my job.

00:40:34.540 Meanwhile, we keep getting mass email updates every day of employees fully vaxxed cases. In the past

00:40:41.200 week alone, we've had 12 employees catch it, but yet I'm the one treated like an outcast disease 0.98

00:40:46.380 spreader. James Healbraun, also on YouTube, says, I don't think you'll ever realize how much I needed

00:40:53.960 this today. I've been getting so much hate for speaking out recently. It's pushed me to the brink of

00:41:01.020 my old unwanted friend, depression, from a frontline worker in the UK. Rollout Rory says,

00:41:08.360 Very well done. I'm in military medicine. My choice was to take the thing for what has a 99% survival rate

00:41:15.600 or else I get the same discharge commonly associated with literal rapists and murderers. Grace Pitchers

00:41:22.360 says, This was fantastic. I'm sure we all feel alone in this. But the reality is there is way more of us

00:41:29.620 than them. I think people are just too afraid to speak out. At some point, the people will hopefully

00:41:35.300 say, Enough is enough. Now, this comment is from me to my friend Matt. You never know whose life you're

00:41:43.000 going to change through your actions and through your words and for you through your music. And based

00:41:48.400 on the YouTube comments to this song, a lot of people needed to hear from you that they're not alone.

00:41:54.280 Well, everybody, that's the show for tonight. I want to thank my friend David for trusting me

00:41:59.180 to fill in for him. I want to thank the team in Toronto for putting the show together as I film

00:42:03.820 this thing out here in Alberta. I want to thank everybody at home for tuning in. And if you want

00:42:09.320 to support Matt's work, it's available right now for download on Bandcamp. And as David Menzies

00:42:15.460 says, Without risk, there can be no glory.
