00:00:00.000 What the heck is going on with Canadian university campuses and the ongoing radicalization problem?
00:00:05.380 I'm Sheila Gunn-Reed, and you're watching The Gunn Show.
00:00:25.280 Who do you want some help?
00:00:27.000 Go out. 1.00
00:00:27.400 No! 1.00
00:00:28.020 F*** you guys, go out. 1.00
00:00:29.020 they weren't literate generally speaking right they so 1.00
00:00:32.840 that's a clip from an event organized by canadian students for free speech at the university of
00:00:46.300 calgary wherein drea humphrey and tom flanagan and a tenured academic of several decades
00:00:53.920 well they were assaulted someone poured water on them where they were at an event discussing
00:01:01.680 allegations of genocide against Canada with regard to residential schools but that's not
00:01:08.380 the only instance of campus radicalization we've seen over recent weeks we have just come past the
00:01:15.620 third anniversary of october 7th and memorials for the victims the 1200 israeli victims actually
00:01:25.600 some canadian of the single largest terror attack against the jewish people since the holocaust
00:01:31.340 were disrupted by pro-terror activists on university campuses
00:01:38.580 this is what students and radical activists are doing in montreal this is drew silver here with
00:01:52.440 rebel news so do you believe in cutting heads and burning houses of innocent civilians do 0.64
00:01:58.560 you think the haitian revolution was a step forward for justice in the world i certainly do 0.96
00:02:03.060 I'm Anastasia Zorchensky reporting live for Rebel News from McGill University in Montreal. 0.54
00:02:19.320 So the fact that pro-Hamas, pro-Palestinians decided to take the day of October 7th to
00:02:27.140 protests and celebrates this attack is the most disgusting thing I think I've ever heard of.
00:02:34.140 So joining me now are two recent additions to the Rebel News team. University students in their own
00:02:40.960 right who are at Concordia University, dare I say one of the worst universities for radicalization
00:02:48.180 in the entire country and they're going to tell us what it's like. Take a listen.
00:02:57.140 So joining me now are Anastasia Zorchinski and Drew Silver.
00:03:03.780 There are two latest interns here at Rebel News,
00:03:07.120 and they are products of the Democracy Fund Student Journalism Conference.
00:03:12.180 And they have been doing, not just since they started working for us,
00:03:15.660 but way before that, incredible work exposing and combating campus extremism.
00:03:23.260 First of all, and I'll ask both of you, I'll start with Anastasia.
00:03:26.420 why did you get involved in this sort of work to expose what's going on on university campuses
00:03:34.080 first of all thank you so much for having us today why did I start so really I came into
00:03:41.240 university as a normal Canadian a little bit of a naive student I honestly I didn't know much
00:03:46.980 about politics when I came in I didn't know about my point of view when I came in and with time I
00:03:51.980 saw things as they are really at university campuses. And in my first year, I decided to
00:03:57.700 start working on opening an Israeli club on campus. So I opened an Israeli club at Concordia
00:04:03.880 and McGill Universities. It's the only one. It's called Startup Nation. And actually, it happened
00:04:09.700 right about a month before October 7th. So I started hoping that this Israeli club will just 0.98
00:04:15.840 bring Israeli business and innovation to campus. And then it happened that October 7th led us to
00:04:20.980 completely different path where we had to fight for our literal existence on campuses. So that is
00:04:26.840 really why I came in. And through that process, I met Drew. And this is how we basically got into
00:04:32.620 all of this. I started learning more. And now I'm here at Rebel News interning as a journalist.
00:04:40.160 So Drew, how about you? Why? Because this is not an easy thing to do. So how do you end up as a
00:04:46.380 campus activist? Yeah, well, thank you for asking, Sheila. I really appreciate it. And also, I
00:04:52.040 really appreciate being with Rebel. It's been a privilege. It's been amazing. You guys have been
00:04:56.980 telling truth since I've been called insane in my very liberal community from Toronto where I was
00:05:01.860 born and raised. So it's amazing stuff. And it's exactly that. I mean, I saw, it was only after
00:05:08.460 October 7th where I realized I actually had a moral obligation to get involved because this
00:05:12.140 attack on western civilization was so existentially important again it's not just for me as a visible
00:05:17.300 jew but it's for actually in fact it's significantly more pertinent to us in canada and in america
00:05:24.860 because the people who want to destroy us have been chanting for the death of america and the
00:05:28.840 death of israel for for decades on end and now they're they're trying to indoctrinate young
00:05:33.940 people unfortunately much to their success in getting there so i decided i saw how radical it
00:05:39.040 was. And I saw that a lot of this was coming from the student union. A lot of this stuff,
00:05:42.840 I always say it's from the top down and the bottom up. So the top down stuff is not necessarily
00:05:48.500 from external foreign funding, which one can only speculate given that we don't have transparency
00:05:53.580 from our government. But I did realize that a lot of it was coming from the Concordia Student
00:05:58.300 Union. So I decided to run. I got elected for my first year. Obviously, I learned that I was
00:06:03.020 very annoying and it was very productive in making sure that people who actually supported
00:06:07.800 literal terrorists were not able to get what they wanted done done, which was very good.
00:06:12.920 Unfortunately, they were not fond of that. So they unelected me after the first year,
00:06:16.380 but I've continued to speak out. I mean, both Anastasia and myself are named plaintiffs in a
00:06:20.500 lawsuit against Concordia and the president Graham Carr because they're unable to do their job. For
00:06:24.800 example, when they like the Concordia Student Union has been funding similar to many other
00:06:30.140 campuses throughout Canada and America, they block campuses whenever they block classes when
00:06:34.600 they're they're rioting or they're protesting. They're they're actually blocking camp classes
00:06:39.400 and they're preventing people from getting in. That's against Concordia's bylaws. And while
00:06:43.700 they've been violating Concordia's bylaws, Concordia has done legitimately nothing in
00:06:46.840 enforcing it. So I always say I drop the lawsuit the second they do their job. But until then,
00:06:51.080 it'll keep on coming. Now, what sort of repercussions? Again, I'll I'll start with
00:06:58.680 Anastasia, as a campus activist, you know, in the interest of free speech, in the interest of,
00:07:06.540 you know, being openly Jewish, what sort of repercussions do you find yourself facing on
00:07:13.000 campus? Well, in general, you know, it's quite unsafe for us to step on campus on a daily basis
00:07:19.700 just because we speak out. A few times I've been, for example, I've been targeted on social media.
00:07:26.160 somebody commented on my instagram post one time we will find you on campus and in the morning and
00:07:30.800 same day they found me on campus it was a group of five men and surrounded me and started calling
00:07:35.040 me a zionist um for like 10 minutes until they just left um in general for example a few weeks
00:07:43.520 ago actually we launched a project with the canadian students for free speech where we were
00:07:49.200 combating the radicalization that's been spreading through the student union to students
00:07:52.960 and we decided to launch a handbook that is pro-Canada with Canadian holidays with Canadian
00:08:00.060 heritage with all of our history really a good resource for students to learn about our nation
00:08:04.900 while the student union a few weeks prior to that were publishing a handbook that is literally not
00:08:10.980 recognizing Canada as a country calling Canada so-called Canada Montreal so-called Montreal
00:08:15.140 had pages about Palestinian terrorists and encouraging students to actually contact them
00:08:20.940 through certain websites and write 10,000 letters for 10,000 prisoners. So we decided that this is
00:08:26.880 a no-go for students. This is not what people should be exposed to. Just because there's a
00:08:32.080 group of people at the top deciding where the money goes and what students should be consuming,
00:08:36.740 we decided to do a project against that with the Canadian Students for Free Speech.
00:08:40.320 So about last week, I was invited to a meeting. I'm with the student union at the moment as well,
00:08:45.700 but this handbook never went through me. So one of the meetings that we had, they actually wanted
00:08:50.580 to talk to me and ask me questions and potentially also, you know, show everybody that this is not
00:08:57.020 what they should be doing on the student union. And I'm not sure what's going to come next. Like
00:09:01.640 they could be complaining about me that I've been taking action against the union just because I
00:09:06.320 wanted people to actually have a good resource and for the benefit of the students. So that's
00:09:11.740 just one recent example. Generally, the precautions is that we have nobody stopping them. We have
00:09:19.180 nobody's stopping, then that's why we have to take action and stand up and do something.
00:09:24.700 Drew? Yeah, I mean, it's exactly that. I think what Anastasia has been doing has been absolutely
00:09:32.300 phenomenal taking this handbook because the Concordia Student Union spent $30,000 to create
00:09:37.480 basically a communist manifesto. And again, I just want to point out that the communist clubs this
00:09:42.660 year, I'm not sure if anyone's goes to a Canadian university, I'm sure you've seen the communist
00:09:47.160 club of your campus. They seem particularly well-funded. I mean, again, this is more of a
00:09:51.760 speculation, but all of their posters are brand new, all of their signs, and they're all the exact
00:09:55.580 same, all communist clubs. You go to a communist club at Concordia, and you go to a communist club
00:09:59.820 at UBC, they're on the other sides of the country, but they look the exact same. What's going on with
00:10:03.900 that? Is the government going to investigate where these revolutionary communist clubs,
00:10:08.300 again, self-proclaimed revolutionary communist clubs, are they going to investigate where they're
00:10:11.520 getting funded from? Because nobody knows, and they're promoting, again, the overthrow,
00:10:16.320 the overthrowing of Western civilization as we know it, not only Canada, which they call so-called
00:10:21.140 Canada, but all of the West, every single country. And they want, of course, some revolutionary
00:10:25.660 communist anarchist state, which they've yet to be able to define coherently. And it's exactly
00:10:31.120 that. We've come on with our handbook, which Anastasia really spearheaded that project. It
00:10:36.200 was amazing. And of course, the student union was very upset. And they use this argument that I
00:10:40.060 really want to point out is anytime you say that stumping for literal terrorist groups and
00:10:45.280 promoting revolutionary communism is bad and we're going to say that it is bad and we're going to
00:10:49.300 expose it, they say it's a, quote, suppression of freedom of speech, especially when they promote
00:10:53.380 violence. You tell them you can't do that. You're suppressing my freedom of speech. But you have to
00:10:57.280 remember these people are leftists and the left is taught from day one that everything is a weapon. 1.00
00:11:02.260 It's freedom of speech until you say, hey, you know, maybe maybe we shouldn't allow a Muslim 0.95
00:11:08.960 terrorist groups to be elevated on our campuses. No, no, no. You say that you're Islamophobic. 1.00
00:11:13.500 You say, hey, maybe you shouldn't be transing the kids. Maybe you shouldn't be using resources and guidance tools from Concordia clubs to enable people to mutilate themselves if they believe they identify as the opposite sex. 0.92
00:11:26.900 Then you're a transphobe. Then you're a bigot. Then you're an evil person and your speech is violence.
00:11:31.280 But they can say whatever they want. And the second you criticize them, the second you point out, the second you actually use your freedom of speech to call them out, then you are a bigot.
00:11:39.020 then you're committing violence.
00:11:41.680 So again, with these people, everything is a weapon
00:11:43.940 and we have to expose them on the highest levels
00:11:46.800 and we have to keep debunking and defeating
00:11:49.620 the actual ideologies behind revolutionary communism,
00:11:54.180 let's say Islamofascism, Islamomarxism,
00:11:57.280 and grievance politics in general.
00:12:01.000 So, Drew, I'll ask you to speculate,
00:12:03.740 although Anastasia pointed out that the student union,
00:12:08.320 So your student union dues went to pay for a $30,000 brainwashing manifesto under the guise of a student handbook.
00:12:17.860 But I'll ask you to speculate who pays for this stuff on campus because it seems really well organized, really well funded.
00:12:26.880 And it seems like everybody's got a lot of time on their hands to do these sorts of things.
00:12:31.960 So who's behind it all?
00:12:33.980 well well sheila i can't help but speculate that they they have to be funded by some foreign entity
00:12:42.000 that wants to destroy western civilization i can think of a few off the top of my head
00:12:46.040 maybe china china china and china perhaps russia uh perhaps specifically uh duganism which is
00:12:52.920 the the man who's kind of been spreading anti-western agitprop for the last like few
00:12:58.440 decades has risen to prominence on uh let's say the woke right which is more of an american
00:13:02.680 situation. But the grievance politics, which is the essentially the idea that all of your problems
00:13:07.820 aren't actually a responsibility, you can blame someone else. And unfortunately, a lot of the
00:13:11.420 times it's the Jews. But it's just sometimes it's generally just the system, like how Concordia, 0.97
00:13:17.720 the communists blame capitalism, even mentioned capitalism, it's bad. So I mean, it could be
00:13:23.080 those entities, it could be Iran, I mean, there's over 700 IRGC operatives in Canada,
00:13:27.860 no one's investigated them, no one's gone in to see are they on student visas? How are they here?
00:13:31.940 What are they doing here? How close are they to the IRGC? And have they been activated? We don't even know if they've been activated. There's been no transparency whatsoever. So I'm going to speculate those. Of course, Qatari funding, we know there's been a lot in American universities, because as Anastasia has pointed out before, these things have been, you have to document them to a certain amount of funding.
00:13:51.720 If you get funding from American campuses in Canada, there's no such law.
00:13:55.760 You basically can do whatever you want, which is why it's become a free-for-all for foreign interference, at least, you know, as I'm to speculate.
00:14:02.880 I would just say it's most likely our greatest adversaries who really, really, really want to destroy not only Canada, but Western civilization as a whole. 0.76
00:14:13.340 Anastasia, what about you? Who do you think is behind all this?
00:14:15.760 so i want to put it into perspective to somebody listening because they may not understand how this
00:14:21.900 actually functions because basically every student like us goes to campus we pay our tuition our
00:14:28.320 tuition has fees and some of these fees go towards the student unions and towards other groups
00:14:33.220 actually not just the unions and other external groups that also participate in similar things
00:14:38.080 it's like it's like a government a little bit it's like a small government and these taxes fees as
00:14:43.180 though they go towards different activities and people elected are the ones distributing that
00:14:47.880 money we know that the people elected distributing that money to different activities and by the way
00:14:52.400 for concordius student union their yearly revenue is about 4.7 million dollars for university
00:14:58.880 students my age that have completely different points of view to distribute that money
00:15:02.680 imagine how far it can go and you know even if you give like two thousand dollars there
00:15:06.700 three thousand dollars there the money is still dripping you can buy signs you can buy megaphones
00:15:10.860 you can buy masks, you can buy weapons. I don't know what they buy. Also, nobody checks, right?
00:15:16.240 Nobody checks where that money actually goes and what people do with it. So anyways, this is how
00:15:20.780 it basically functions. What Drew and I can only speculate is who is training the people who are
00:15:27.480 elected and the ones who are planning to radicalize students through that money, because these
00:15:33.840 elections are very competitive. I was able to win three times. Drew tried to win for the second and
00:15:40.160 third time unfortunately he couldn't because it was very competitive people wanted to win these
00:15:44.620 seats and students at the same time don't know where the money goes I can I can tell you where
00:15:50.380 the money goes because I'm on the union but they're supposed to publish minutes nobody really knows
00:15:54.120 where they are why the minutes are not published things things are not clear here things are not
00:15:59.100 transparent enough and I've been trying to lobby for example also with certain policies to for
00:16:05.480 For example, just recently, the pro-Palestine protest that was happening in front of McGill
00:16:09.960 University on October 7th was led by a group called Palestinian resistance and honor and
00:16:16.860 resistance for Palestine, ACE-PHR, something like that.
00:16:19.900 They received $1,875 from the student union recently, a few weeks ago, and I was lobbying
00:16:27.320 for them to not receive this money because I didn't want the specific fund to be funding.
00:16:32.080 i wanted to amend the policy so it doesn't fund student groups that support terrorism or
00:16:37.100 go against canadian law and my amendment was completely denied so therefore the money goes
00:16:42.640 to certain groups and certain students and we can only speculate who's training them who's behind
00:16:48.100 these students that are actually the ones distributing the money but right now for people
00:16:51.600 to understand that just one student union in montreal just one university has 4.7 million
00:16:57.720 dollars. Imagine how much every university and every student union receives and where that money
00:17:01.960 goes. Now, it's not just the student union, though, or the students. You're going to have
00:17:08.360 some real radicalized members of the faculty. Have you experienced that? Anastasia, go ahead.
00:17:14.700 Yes, absolutely. Actually, Drew and I were just talking about the fact that on October 8th,
00:17:19.220 there was an event planned on our campus that actually moved off campus, but to another location
00:17:25.220 that is also paid by student fees,
00:17:26.980 just not by our actual university,
00:17:29.080 with TAs, teaching assistants and research assistants
00:17:33.180 that planned an event to read Yahya Sinwar's,
00:17:37.160 the literal mastermind behind October 7th
00:17:39.700 and the leader of Hamas, to read his book. 0.96
00:17:42.580 But not just to read his book because he's a terrorist.
00:17:44.640 There was no mention of if he was a terrorist,
00:17:47.680 who he is, what he has done.
00:17:50.280 His photo was literally decorated with pink flowers
00:17:53.480 and they had a book club meeting to read Yaya Sinwar's book and analyze it and dinner was also
00:18:00.880 included by the way at this meeting and this is the people who are marking our papers who are
00:18:07.420 helping students to get better grades to meet with students research assistants teaching assistants
00:18:12.820 they are here glorifying a terror a leader of a terrorist like I recently posted a video on my
00:18:18.800 instagram saying that this is like students in america meeting to read bin laden's book the day
00:18:25.060 after the anniversary of 9 11 and to analyze it and to decorate it and to glorify it so this is
00:18:30.440 just one example we have also groups that are um what's it called like teachers or professors for
00:18:36.160 palestine and they also show up on october 7th like celebrations uh terrorist celebrations they
00:18:42.860 They could be even worse than the students.
00:18:46.260 Drew, what do you think, what kind of messages that send to Jewish students when you've got your teacher being a professor for Palestine? 0.61
00:18:55.600 Well, Sheila, I'll tell you, it's it sends a message that you're not safe on campus.
00:19:00.560 But I want to go even further because the anti-Christian bias, I could not help but notice the anti-Christian bigotry from day one of attending Concordia University.
00:19:07.700 Unfortunately, it took me way too long to even begin to stand up because I needed to form, you know, coherent thoughts. But I realized that I really, I think that in order to have a coherent society, we have to have a coherent culture. And the Judeo-Christian values, the Judeo-Christian tradition is what built the West.
00:19:25.620 And it is what is actually a superior culture because we have an amazing society that that benefits our success, that respects equal rights, that respects women, that elevates women, that understands everyone's role in society.
00:19:40.560 And I think that the message that it sends is essentially if you are a non-believer, i.e. an infidel, which Muslim terrorists typically cite as reason to murder, then that's exactly what you deserve. 0.96
00:19:52.100 And if you don't, again, if you don't believe in that, then you believe in revolutionary communism. 1.00
00:19:55.540 So if you are to the right of Marx, then you're a far right bigot and you deserve to get a zero on all of your assignments because that is what the consequence is actually going to be. 0.99
00:20:03.820 Because, again, if your TAs, your teacher's assistants, who, by the way, are responsible for marking all of your assignments and all of your work in whatever class you have, if they are doing a little sit in to read Yahya Sinwar's poetry, because apparently all Muslim terrorists have time to write poetry, I suppose, for propaganda purposes to fool, let's say, Western idiots. 0.98
00:20:22.960 so everyone has time to do that they have time to do that and when they're you know glorifying the 0.98
00:20:28.940 mastermind behind the largest massacre to jewish people since the holocaust and the largest attack 0.57
00:20:34.080 on western civilization in modern history well i mean you can only assume how they're going to be 0.93
00:20:37.960 grading your essay if you are so much to the even to the right of marks you're going to be getting
00:20:42.300 a zero because you're bigoted or even reported who knows you know i'm so glad you brought up
00:20:47.420 the fate of the Christians on campus for a very long time. Actually, one of my first stories at
00:20:53.340 Rebel News was documenting the treatment of the pro-life club at the University of Alberta. They
00:20:58.220 were being censored, denied space, and I don't think much has changed since 2015 when I first
00:21:04.500 did that story. Before I let you guys go, and I know you've got things to do and people to see,
00:21:10.280 I'll start with Anna. Do you have a message for students on campus who believe in free speech,
00:21:17.420 who believe in right from wrong, who are perhaps even, dare I say, conservative,
00:21:22.460 but they're frightened to stand up.
00:21:24.880 They're scared of those repercussions.
00:21:26.560 They're scared of the bad marks.
00:21:28.420 What's your message for them?
00:21:30.140 I think that I want to tell them that you're not alone, first of all.
00:21:35.920 We're here with you.
00:21:36.900 And I know many students that are here with you as well.
00:21:40.000 It feels like you might be alone, but you're not.
00:21:42.680 Second of all, we're too behind.
00:21:45.800 We cannot be scared anymore.
00:21:47.420 Unfortunately, we don't have that privilege anymore to be scared.
00:21:50.520 We've maybe had it in the past, but right now we're actually in a crisis.
00:21:54.500 Sometimes you may not see it.
00:21:55.800 It may not be in front of your face, but Drew and I have experienced so much of it.
00:21:59.900 Yes, it might be the most worst campus in North America that we experienced it at,
00:22:04.000 but it might not be far from your campus.
00:22:06.980 It might come to your campus and it might come to your workplace soon.
00:22:10.560 So we cannot be scared anymore.
00:22:13.200 We must speak up, stand up, do something.
00:22:15.940 even if you're not the front face of it do your best just even come behind the scenes and help
00:22:20.840 somebody out come contact canadian students for free speech who can help you out if you need
00:22:26.220 anything um you can contact us we are always available on instagram on facebook anastasia
00:22:31.400 zor on instagram and drew real drew silver on on instagram we're here for you really uh we don't
00:22:37.240 want you to feel alone and we we just have to unite and be strong and be together because
00:22:41.780 people like to see young faces young generations like us standing up for our values because we are
00:22:47.940 the future of this nation and the future of this nation is not looking good right now it looks like
00:22:52.260 it's it's just deteriorating but we can actually try and save it and do something and and you know
00:22:58.240 we have to believe it drew well sheila i'll actually go a step further and i will say that
00:23:04.480 there's actually a it's not only something that you should do and that i recommend there's actually
00:23:08.520 a moral obligation to it. So in order to make a moral, in order to have someone commit to a moral
00:23:12.600 obligation, you actually have to be rooted in something. And that something is God and the
00:23:17.280 presence of God. There needs to be more of God in young people's lives. So I would urge for
00:23:21.640 Christians, I urge you go to church, get closer to your community, find a community that is coherent
00:23:26.300 with values that identify with yours. And for Jews, go to synagogue, find a community of people
00:23:33.480 that reflect your values, because that, once you have that, once you have that core foundation,
00:23:38.520 then you will be able you will be equipped to stand up to this incredibly important existential moral battle that we have on our campuses to combat not only radicalism, but but promotion of evil, because these ideologies are evil. And we have to we have to understand the terms, we have to have terms to to call these things. And you can only have terms, you can only have these types of terms with the presence of a moral compass and with the presence of God on campus.
00:24:02.400 So I strongly urge more religious participation. It's very, very important. And I say Jews and Christians and not others, because again, the Judeo-Christian tradition and Judeo-Christian values have built our civilization. The Old Testament is probably one of the most foundational texts of all of our civilization, our legal structure, everything.
00:24:22.960 So when you look at it that way, you actually see there is an obligation.
00:24:25.860 We are morally obligated as people who believe, who value life, who value, who value justice,
00:24:32.360 who value actual freedom of speech.
00:24:34.620 You have to be able to speak up because if you don't, then no one else will.
00:24:39.640 Drew and Anastasia, thank you so much for taking the time.
00:24:42.600 I know you're very busy.
00:24:44.200 I'll see you guys soon.
00:24:45.260 And I can't wait to see what you do next.
00:24:47.380 Thank you so much, Sheila.
00:24:48.880 Thank you so much.
00:24:52.520 What evidence do you have to say that it was?
00:25:01.760 Do you think the living standards were not coercive with the extermination of an entire
00:25:08.540 group of people? Do you think those are suitable living standards?
00:25:11.480 That was what they were trying to do, trying to erase their culture. 0.65
00:25:14.380 Do you deny that it was a genocide? Is it on semantic terms or what? 0.77
00:25:18.340 So you're asking me how I define genocide?
00:25:20.420 But I do think that there is certainly evidence that Canada was a genocidal state.
00:25:24.860 The purpose of the residential schools is to equip the students with the tools that they would need.
00:25:30.240 I'm here to debate that it was, in fact, a genocide.
00:25:34.760 What you just saw there was a clip of Drea Humphrey's.
00:25:40.180 Drea Humphrey. Let me try that again.
00:25:42.440 What you just saw there was a clip of Drea Humphrey and Professor Tom Flanagan engaging students at the University of Calgary.
00:25:50.420 on the topic of, is Canada guilty of a genocide, i.e. the residential schools against Indigenous
00:25:56.540 people? And what you can see is two people on either side of the debate, a student, Andrea
00:26:03.560 or Professor Flanagan, discussing the issue peacefully. Now, you can decide for yourself
00:26:09.900 who's right, who's wrong, but that's how civil engagement is supposed to be when it
00:26:17.460 comes to ideas that people disagree with. And that's what should be taking place on Canadian
00:26:22.800 university campuses, although it is increasingly rare. So I wanted to know what you thought about
00:26:28.920 the discussions with the students, as opposed to the assault, which I showed you last week
00:26:37.140 on the show. So I went to the YouTube comments. And if you want to send me a comment on the show
00:26:46.520 today. You can do that in the comment section, wherever you find a clip of it, but you are
00:26:51.500 premium subscribers. So my email is open to you. It's Sheila at rebelnews.com. Let me know what
00:26:56.960 you think about Drew and Anastasia. I think the kids are going to be all right. Okay. Let's get
00:27:01.460 to the YouTube comments. These students don't have an original thought of their own. Could be true.
00:27:07.760 But that's what university is about. You're supposed to go there to formulate your ideas.
00:27:12.440 And as you heard from Drew and Anastasia, they started formulating their own opinions
00:27:18.420 rather than what they were being told to think.
00:27:20.780 And I think that's how it's supposed to be.
00:27:22.980 I am hopeful that some of these youngsters will come around to the, I was going to say
00:27:30.060 the right way of thinking, but maybe they'll just come around to reality once they're more
00:27:34.840 exposed to civil discussion without being disrupted by violence or fear.
00:27:46.940 Bellamois 3262 says, as a British woman, this really offends me. During a time of war when my
00:27:51.920 people would be broken up, kids were sent away and never saw their parents again. Schools were
00:27:56.140 created and made to educate, house, feed, and keep safe these children. It is incredibly offensive
00:28:02.160 that our charity has been mistaken for weakness. Shame on you. How many billions have we given to
00:28:07.060 chiefs? And what have they done with the money? Not what they promised to do. No evidence, no
00:28:11.260 sympathy. Now, I'm not saying no sympathy. I mean, it was difficult. However, you are right.
00:28:19.980 Stephen Harper brought in the First Nations Transparency Act, where you could just find out
00:28:24.700 what your chief was up to with all the money he was getting from the federal government.
00:28:28.980 Justin Trudeau removed it, which I think in and of itself is systemic racism.
00:28:33.440 Why aren't Indigenous people allowed to know what their leadership is doing with money allocated to support them?
00:28:43.540 I can go online and find out what my mayor is doing with the money.
00:28:48.160 You can too. 0.99
00:28:49.860 Why are people in Indigenous communities not entitled to that same transparency?
00:28:54.440 You know, Justin Trudeau prattled on about institutional racism.
00:28:58.040 That, my friend, is institutional racism.
00:29:02.020 One ABNDT says,
00:29:05.920 Now tell us how many indigenous tribes killed their own over land, dispute, and territorial power. 1.00
00:29:10.820 Also true. 1.00
00:29:12.840 That's just, that was just life, war.
00:29:18.240 History is filled with wars and slaughter and slavery.
00:29:24.720 All right, let's keep going.
00:29:26.340 holy fuzz m-o-g as a first nations indigenous man there's no bigger genocide than the liberal 0.98
00:29:32.140 government's made program that's euthanasia than there was for the residential schools yeah uh 0.97
00:29:38.300 right now the federal government is euthanizing the elderly the infirm the sad the inconvenient
00:29:47.640 and they're doing it in the name of compassion and there's not a lot of objection to it
00:29:56.560 and did you know the funds for medical assistance and dying come out of palliative care
00:30:03.380 in most provinces isn't that horrific funds designed to make people comfortable
00:30:09.300 in the end of their life are going to kill them
00:30:11.800 william clayton 7758 young people are being fed under nonsense in schools yes and it doesn't just 0.94
00:30:20.000 start in universities it starts way before that you know with all the special shirt days the pink
00:30:25.060 shirt day the orange shirt day the rainbow flag day and on and on and on by the time your kids
00:30:30.940 get to university if you haven't successfully undone the brainwashing every day on your own
00:30:35.900 your kids don't stand to hope in hell it's incumbent on us parents to know what's
00:30:42.300 happening in the schools and to make sure that our schools are politically neutral
00:30:46.700 all right everybody that's the show for today thank you so much for tuning in i'll see everybody
00:30:53.980 back here in the same time in the same place next week and as always don't let the government tell
00:30:58.080 you that you've had too much to think
00:31:05.900 Thank you.
